20 Best Led Lights For Garage (2023 Updated)

I purchased this light at a local Hone Depot less than a year ago. It is very bright, and we liked that. This morning when I went into the garage, it was laying on top of a box below where it had been screwed in.

Upon inspection, I found that the black and white wires, which were cheaply soldered to the inside part had come loose. That is very shoddy workmanship and indicates a very cheaply made product. I cannot recommend this light fixture to anyone.

I’m very disappointed that Home Depot carries that a cheaply made product.

I got two of these for my garage a few weeks ago, but with Christmas just didn’t have time to install them until today. I just took the first one out of the box, screwed it in, and. nothing. I took it down, and THAT’s when I saw the on/off switch on the side! So to those who said theirs didn’t work, I’ll bet that is what they missed.

ANYWAY, these are fabulous! It looks like daylight in my garage. I directed the panels to the far reaches of the garage, and they definitely help, but now I sure wish I had at least two more ceiling sockets.

These are definitely a great “guy gift”. If I can get the socket in my closet to work again, one of these is definitely going in there!.

Wow, my husband took it out of the box, screwed it in, and sheer lighting perfection! He had me go out into the garage and I absolutely LOVE the added light/brightness (in fact, it DOES take a bit to get used to just how bright it really is!) We are ordering a second one.

My husband is an electrician (for real) – but I saw and ordered the product. I say that NOT because an electrician is necessary at all; rather, I say that to support the product as one that my electrician husband really, really likes! (He wires surgical hospitals, university campus dormitories, manufacturing warehouses, etc.

) This is my new “go-to” gift for guys, new homeowners, etc. Very pleased!!.

Bought a 6 pack or these for garage lighting. They were everything i wanted and more. Went in easy peasy, and produce great work light. Will most likely buy more for my basement. 10/10 reccomend.

I installed in my garage where my vehicle is parked that has no ceiling light and once the garage door opener light automatically turns off get dark. I just installed one light and tested it out one is bright enough but since I have 4 can’t just stop there had to install all 4, really satisfied with this purchase.

Got them in earlier than expected that’s a plus. Jumped right into it. These lights are awesome. Lights up my garage nice. We’ll recommend these to everyone. Update: lights up nice. Poorly constructed from the warehouse because I had to fix two of the lights a week in of me getting them.

Wanted to buy more but now looks like there $10 more than what I paid. I will buy them again if they were the same price but $10 more I’ll look for something else.

Bought one of these last week to put in my garage. Easy to install, and really lights up the garage. I have tried CFLs, and high-lumen A19 LEDs in the past, but none of those did the job adequately. This one does! I would recommend.

Nice coverage of whole garage, except the garage door opener casts a big shadow. Maybe you could make an attachment that could lower the light a bit.

I purchased (4) for my 20×20 garage. I would have been better off buying a high-powered flashlight! Worse LED lights I’ve ever seen. Light transmission is extremely low (7200?, not even close!), and the dispersion from the lens does nothing to help/increase the spread of the little bit of light that the LED’s put out.

I have (4) 48″ made by a no-name brand from Taiwan purchased at Lowe’s for half the price, that light my barn up like daytime, and my barn is twice the size of my garage. You suckered me this time, but I’m going to make it a point to tell everyone I know, not to waste their money on your overpriced Wal-Mart lights!.

I have 2 packs of lights from you, using I thing 12 in my shop at the moment. Already 2 are failing and one is faltering. WHAT THE HECK. This should not happen. I have only had them up since December.

Need a better way to support the wires Need more wire to make up to, if you are replacing a fixture feeding the new fixture through the top on the far end 7/8 ko, you will have to make a jumper wires to go from the drivers wires to the electrical box wires.

Driver wires need to be longer.

Love this unit with its motion activated sensor. Works perfectly, i have another one of these units in service for 1+ years, both work flawlessly. they can be connected together, mine or not due to existing wiring setup.

This light is used above 3 of our pallet tear down saws, it was easy to insall and provides great lighting for our saw operators. I like the delay feature, if the light senses no activity for up to 10 minutes, it shuts off.

Used as a replacement for the giant canopy Halogen lamps. So much brighter and better looking, great product.

The quality was way below what I had anticipated. Yes, the light is bright, which was what I wanted, but compared to other utility lights I have purchased in terms of quality, it was not even in the same league.

And they could have at least included a couple of ceiling hooks with each light.

For the price, nothing is brighter. Good color temp. Great for a garage, but I use it as an aquarium light for plants. Hope it lasts the 25k to 50k hours listed.

I have this lighting in my large garage – work space. The light is bright and wiring and hanging was simple, but if you don’t know how to, have a expert do it for you. My garage is 16 feet tall. I hung one of these lights and I can see and find everything thing.

It’s bright!! If bugs get trapped inside I can easily remove the cover to clean them out. These lights are well made and built to last years. So no more changing lightbulbs. I would recommend this product.

So far, this light has been awesome! I put it in our garage, for our shop. It fits perfectly above our shop table! This light is also SUPER bright! It puts out 11,200 lumens, which makes it VERY bright.

I just installed this light in my small-ish one car garage. My goal was to remedy the dim lighting situation I had going on in there. I couldn’t see a darned thing. Well now I need sunglasses when I’m in there! Super bright, easy to install.

These are instant on even at ambient temperature in the teens. The light produced is very bright with smooth and consistent coverage. The light weight and low current draw made for a simple Installation.

No issues with the chain or fixture, it’s all solidly constructed and in good shape, but if you need more than 3 feet of chain you’ll need to pick more up. The fixture itself has thick metal; it doesn’t feel cheap and didn’t dent.

I was having issues finding a bulb that would work in my garage above the garage door opener motor. Don’t ask why they put the bulb right above the motor with no room to hardly fit a normal bulb in the receptical.

With this light having an extension piece and the stem itself extending I was able to make it fit. I can now see in my garage as the 5000 lumens is quite bright. I’m so happy with this light. Worked like a charm!! I would definitely recommend.

Purchased 2 for use in the attic. I have a large attic and had eight 100w CFL’s. They provided sufficient light but color was somewhat yellow. These 2 lights are much brighter and the provide white light.

The attic now has more than enough light. You can also adjust the panels to shine in different directions. I just hope they last. Very happy so far.

Y’all! It’s like the heavens opened up and shone down in my garage. I bought this as a gift for my husband, which really was for me, and what a difference it has made in the ability to see in the garage when closed.

I used to have to use a flashlight to see into my chest freezer. I no longer need to. This is an amazing light. I’m now looking where else I can put one. Already purchased one for my father’s garage.

I may buy a few more for gifts as well. Totally recommend!.

I have several of these that I bought off Amazon for my garage and I’ve really liked how well they lit my work area. A couple of them had panels go bad so that has been a disappointment. When I saw that HF was going to be carrying these I knew I would be trying them soon.

My wife mentioned that she wanted a light in the basement like I have in the garage. So I bought one and we installed it downstairs. I was pleased to see that all three panels adjust like the ones I already have.

Once we got it installed, the difference in the lighting is amazing. She was very pleased and now wants another for a different section of the basement. I will also be buying more for my shop to replace the ones with bad panels, as well as to add more to my garage to replace the incandescent still out there.

I had placed several 4 foot LED in my workshop. The lights were 5000 lumen and they seemed to light up my workshop as I thought. I bought two of these 8000 Lumen Adjustable Head Screw-In Shop Lights and installed them in place of two of the 4′ foot LED lights.

These two screw-in light out shined the other shop lights so much that I replaced all of the remaining LED light with the 8000 Lumen screw-in lights. It was like night and day difference. Now I can work at night in my workshop as well as I can during daylight hours with these 8000 Lumen adjustable screw-in shop lights.

My only consern is if they will be continued after a year or so. I would hate to have to get out my old shop lights and reinstall them. If you want to light up a dark area, you now know what to get to solve your problem.

Our garage and laundry room had been a dark place until installing this unit. Previously the space had been lit by a compact fluorescent that was still hanging on. After installing this light, it was a new day.

Details in the clothes were easier to see and the dark areas of our garage shrank. The ability to angle the LED panels is cool and the output is amazing. This thing has plenty of horsepower. I had considered installing a 48 inch LED over the washing machine and dryer, but this was far more convenient and plug and play.

Screwed it into a overhead socket and voila! highly recommended.

They do a good job for a small area. They are much smaller than I was expecting. They are worth the $11. I will be looking for a larger light for my Garage. I bought 2, and put one in my basement. It works well for a section, but will need to buy another one for other parts.

I will probably buy a larger light for basement and garage. Would be fine for a small area. it is good and bright.

This light is plenty bright and is very attractive. I can’t speak for longevity, just got it. it’s shallower from top to bottom than the old florescent shop lights and narrower as well, so it fits where the other wouldn’t.

I guess two down sides are that it is only designed for hanging and not too amenable to direct screw-to-the-ceiling mounting, though it can be done. the second item is that it doesn’t even come with a cord and outlet plug, just the modular connector and inverter box with pig tail wires.

Of course many people would want to wire it in anyway, but especially those wanting to hang it from a ceiling would probably wish for a proper power cord. It is a great light however, just be prepared to supply a cord and plug if you need it.

Bought in July of 2018 on eBay. Good until recently,started flickering like the balast was bad. Then started hearing sizzling noises. Took the light down and noticed where the balast connector to the light connector was melted.

House fire was very possible. Check out the photos.

After trying several alternatives, glad I found this one. The previous one I got was about 4-ft and it just didn’t work. Switched to this one and my plants are growing much faster with it. It gives off a brilliant, bright light.

Although it’s not the easiest to secure, once you set it up properly, you pretty much have something to keep for life.

Very easy to install. Bright light comes on instantly. Adjustable panels helps direct the light where you need it. Light really gets into the corners of the room. Online purchase was easy and quick. Purchase was a great value.

This is a great light for in the house. I put one of them up in the basement. I originally planned to put them up in my garage but it is unheated and these are not meant for extreme cold start up so now will have to put them up in my other rooms in the basement.

They are a very bright light and I am happy with the output of light from just one of them. When I ordered them I never really read if these were for extreme cold start up so that was an error on my part.

I bought these lights for my stump grinding 16 ft enclosed trailer ! They are lightweight so I put Velcro on the backs of the lights and put them on the metal ceiling cross ties of my trailer so I could see to maintain stump grinder inside the trailer ! All I have to do is plug my 110 volt pigtail in and 4 of these lights light the whole inside up to see ! Its amazing how much light the produce for all the bigger they are ! Very please !.

These are the best of all the LED 4′ shop lights I have bought. I’ll stay with them now to do my whole basement. I LOVE them and everything there is about them – so much better than Florescent lights that there is no comparing them.

These are cheaper to use, they weigh a lot less, much easier to put up and we get LOTS of nice, “clean” light out of them. I replaced 6 florescent lights in my garage with 3 of these. it is brighter now and I can see much better.

I can’t say enough good about them.

The 4′ Lithonia shop light provides adequate lighting in my cellar. The led bulb produces a crisp and clean white light which is actually much brighter than I anticipated. There is no delay once you turn the light on, even in my unheated cellar.

Installation was quick and easy, it’s lightweight, has a 5′ cord and pull chain. An outlet is provided for linking additional lights (up to 10) if necessary, although I can’t imagine needing 10 of these shop lights.

It’s a great looking light with a diamond plate finish and superior functionality for the price.

I want to start off by saying this LED light is bright! Brighter then I expected. I put it in my garage since I was using florescent lighting and this beats those by a mile! Its easy to install, I did have some help since I don’t like messing with electrical work.

Took probably 10 minutes at the most to place it. It isn’t a ceiling mount, its suspended from the ceiling. Has a pull string and is easy to turn on and off. So far no issues with it and I plan to purchase more to replace the not so bright florescent!.

I got this Lithonia lighting linear shop light complimentary in exchange for my review. I put this light in my garage above our work bench and it was actually fairly easy to install for my husband. I like how much light it gives our work station, it makes things so much easier to see.

I just wish it was a little more attractive so I could put some of these inside my home in our office but its a shop light so you can’t really expect those to look fancy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice bright light that is fairly easy to install.
