20 Best Led Flood Light Bulb (2023 Updated)

The Sun filled bulb brightness is 850 lumens and outs off a gentle blue toned light. It is not a warm colored amber light and it is not a bright light, like I thought it would be, when I think of natural sunlight.

I don’t see where this blueish hued bulb is that bright. I am confused how a blue hue bulb is suppose to mimic sunlight. It could be maybe that it is the lamp that I used it in or just because I have other lights on as well with different shade bulbs.

The bulb is supposed to last 3 years rated on life of 3 hours usage a day. It is overall a nice bulb, but I would either need to replace all bulbs in my other lamps to match it or just use that one lamp.

This bulb doesn’t feel like a natural sunlight color to me. I personally prefer a warmer light bulb hue, whereas this one puts off more of a cool blue lightbulb.

To help alleviate those early spring gloomy days, I picked up this light to help with my mood and offer some level of lighting to trick the brain. Its helped! I would recommend this now for any space where it may seem a little dark or need that extra boost of natural daylight.

The light is not harsh or cold, but offers truly a bright sunny day feeling. I think a few more would be helpful to balance out my room, as they do stick out when used in isolation – for example 2 lamps would be even better for a normal sized room.

So far the lifespan has been great, I’ve had no issues with it turning on / or any stutters or flickering. It has been a solid performer. I’ve not tried dimming it, so cannot speak to that. So far, i love it and it gets after those cloudy blues!.

I received the GE Sun Filled Soft White 65W LED Floodlight BR30 Light bulb through the TryIt Sampling Community and am very pleased with the results. I would never had selected this type of build for use at my home; sounds like the name is just a new way to present the same old product.

But, it is actually different. We have lots of these light bulbs throughout our house filled with warm white bulbs. As they burn out, we will be replacing them with the GE Sun Filled soft whites. The light is brighter without being the blind that LEDs can present.

More natural in lighting appearance. Truly like this bulb. Would highly recommend!.

These light bulbs are great because they provide a soothing cool white color that can last for more than ten years, which helps my family save money. I use these bulbs in my bedroom and living room, and they provide plenty of illumination for the whole room.

I love that the light emitted is not harsh but soft. I had no problems with the bulbs flickering nor were there any interference problems with other electric devices. I love that these blubs are dimmable, so I can alter the brightness to suit my needs such as if I want to lower the brightness to read at night before going to sleep.

The only concern I have about these bulbs is that some of the directions/notes were confusing such as these bulbs are “not for use in totally enclosed or recessed luminaries”. Also, the package warns there is a chance of interference with items like a radio or television, and I wonder why this is and how this will effect how they work.

In all, these bulbs provide great illumintation and save me money, and I will continue to use them.

being so used to standard 40-60-75-100w bulbs all my life, I have been lost when shopping for light bulbs. finally something made sense when I saw ‘equivalent to 60w’ on the box of these refresh daylight bulbs.

right away I noticed the quality. they are well packaged and have a heavy base and stronger glass, so different than the fragile bulbs that were all I knew. because they are ‘daylight’ I decided to try them in just the living room.

I am thinking the daylight version of these is too cool/stark of an effect, and will try the ‘reveal’ pure clean or ‘relax’ soft white version. I am impressed with these bulbs, and thankful that GE helped make the new-age light bulb transition easier to understand.

they are dimmable, stronger, and I expect them to last a long time.

I received the Daylight LED 60-Watt Replacement A19 light bulbs. It comes in a 4 pack which is very nice. I noticed that the light bulbs doesn’t get hot either. The light is clear and pure, which is good for older people to see clear in.

It allows you to see clear without it being to bright. It recreates natural light. My life has changed since I replaced my old lights, It has definitely brightened up my life/room. The high definition daylight is luminous, It brings the right amount of light into the room but also it is dimmable.

Colors appears in high definition which is amazing!.

$5 is a good price and next day store pickup is nice, but it has a delay when turning on. I replaced 2 of the bulbs with the GE 22. 8 years life span and they come on instantly. So I ordered off Amazon the 22.

8 bulb and they sent the 13 yr bulb. Sent them back and bought 4 pack of the bulbs they sent me (2 for $13). And as some else mention it is 650 lumens instead of 700 like advertised.

These are very good LEDs for the price, with slightly warm 3000K color similar to incandescent. We replaced 5 various large incandescent bulbs which pulled about 900 watts, and these BR40 LEDs pull about 85 watts total.

The quality of light is better and more even since all the bulbs are now the same. Overall brightness is the same or a bit more.

Direct replacement for 100w mercury lights. Just remove the ballast. With the conversion to LED technology this means that a 17w bulb replaces a 100w conventional one with the same light output rating and color.

Haven’t been able to verify the claimed double life since the 25,000 hour claim is beyond my life expectancy.

They arrived faster than expected and work as expected. I like the bright/cool, but not cold, color of the light in the 4000K bulbs. Time will tell whether the quality of the bulb will hold up as long as advertised.

I had some outdoor floodlights on the outside of my house facing my driveway that i wanted to automate. I started doing research to see if Philips had any hue flood lights that were rated for outdoor use and i was thrilled when i found these.

They are on the expensive side but they work great and the build quality is great. I think they will last a long time. I live in Louisiana and we get lots of rain and humidity. I haven’t had any issues with these bulbs so far.

I love that i can now have my outdoor flood lights turn on and off automatically on a schedule so I can see at night and people think someone is home. These Bulbs are dimmable and they can get pretty bright.

I highly recommend these if you want to expand your Philips Hue system outdoors.

They were on sale and bought 3 with using my reward certificates. I already had BR30 in wall lantern but wanted more light. Even though these say the are 1000 lumens while the others were 800 lumens I didn’t notice difference.

But in all fairness it could be my wall lanterns limiting their brightness and distance. Kept them since I got them so cheap and gifted my mother the BR30 since she also has the Philips hue setup.

These are fantastic bulbs! They work great outdoors, connected with ease to my HUE app, and look great too. They also gave me the ability to dim them to the desired brightness for my front porch. Set to auto and they go on and off every night and day.

I almost gave four stars are for the high price. All the other hue bulbs have come down in price and these have not. But I like them too much to down grade my rating. Hopefully Hue will make them more affordable for everyone and they last a good long time.

The light is a warm white but contains the blue and red that plants need. The new technology that allows the white color is great because now I can see the actual health of the plants easier. Also after I get switched over to all white lights similar to these in color, the neighbors won’t think I’m growing dope instead of starting the veggies.

Photo shows 5 of the Sunco BR30 grow light with white color and two of the older colored style from some other brand. The starts under the white lights are taking off now with these new light after just a day.

That is it ! There are other options you can use to tell which bulb is which , or where you have it located. You can turn it off and on as well as dim the brightness to your liking. If the bulb is on a switch , by turning the switch off and on it will work like a regular bulb.

It is really amazing to be able to control your lighting from your phone no matter where you are ! Such a great product.

I never used a smart bulb in my flood lights before, just regular flood bulbs. I am so glad I made the switch. It was very easy to install and setup. The bonus is that it works with my Alexa. I live out in the country so there are many reasons I need the lights on.

Being able to dim them and make them warm color so they aren’t shining through the curtains when people are sleeping, but still showing the way. Then being able to to make them whiter and brighter for needing to see in the dark is amazing.

I can set it to turn on and off at certain times, so I don’t need to remember to do it. Then of course if I need it off or on before the set time I can use the app or just tell Alexa to do it. I love the fact that I can control all the lights at once, or just one side of the building.

It has gotten pretty cold already, down to 34F, and still had no problems controlling them.

Love that these light bulbs are Smart enabled. Now i can turn them on and off on my phone and not have to worry about if i forgot to turn them off. It’s great for security to as you can sort of flicker them with the dimmable function remotely when you hear a sound.

The dimmable function also saves on energy when you don’t need it at full brightness. Strong illumination for any area you want to place them.

I bought this in the 2-pack, but this is the same bulb as a single. I bought this 2 pack for $21. 20 after tax at Walmart and installed them in our basement. I was replacing one old bulb that burned out, and decided to do 2 at a time as a comparison, with the intent to buy 2 more later on down the road (4 lights total).

I was happy to see that the BR30 format was a direct replacement without any fitment issues, even though the base on the LED type is wider than a standard flood bulb is. I also bought these as they are “dimmable” and our lights do run on a dimmer switch.

I was disappointed to find out that on the dimmest setting, the LED bulbs are MUCH brighter than the standard flood bulbs are. Probably at least 3 times as bright! No longer will we have a barely-lit room for movies or night time lounging! This is a con for me, and buyers should be aware of this.

Next, and something that is more worrisome, is the BUZZING! These LED lights have a faint, but CONSTANT buzzing sound to them when they are on. I don’t know if that goes away after they are warmed up, or after a few weeks of break-in, but for now this is almost a deal breaker.

No matter how faint, I never expected my lights to make noise. Because of these cons, I rate this product 3 stars. No word on longevity as I just bought them today.

I’m a crippled, elderly lady who doesn’t enjoy having the floodlights burn out so often and then having to find someone to replace them for me. These are a real blessing because they have such a long life.

Now I can leave them turned on when necessary and not worry about how long they’re going to last. I’m a very happy buyer!.

Home Depot and Lowe’s no longer carry this particular flood light. It is nice to deal with a company that keeps a proper inventory.

WOW, These bulbs are BRIGHT! I purchased them for medium intensity on my outdoor porch at night. They are WAY brighter than a 60WATT incandescent. seem more like 75 WATTS. So they will not work for my porch but will be GREAT for indoor use to brighten up any room.

Best part. the price! I sure hope they last a long time.

For an LED, these are nice bulbs. I just got them and put them in two lights in the basement so I don’t know how long they will last but they are working fine. As I screwed one in, I dropped it on the cement floor and thought that I waisted a light bulb.

But, it actually didn’t break and still works. Take my word for that and don’t drop one to find out. I think I was just lucky.

So, I bought these to replace the lower powered LEDs in my garage. When I installed these. It was night and day, I mainly got them for the rated amount of light it produces. I installed both of them 2pk into the 2 bulb sockets in my garage, and they work perfectly.

I’d gets another set for use in another part of my house where light isn’t the greatest. Like my porch (front and back).

At least one of four bulbs purchased has an audible hum/buzz when lit. The frequency of the noise create a sympathetic vibration in the bulb fixture which amplifies the noise. It is annoying. Otherwise the features on the bulb are very nice, including the ability to change the Kelvin setting.

The 90w (equivalent) bulb puts out plenty of light in my kitchen.

Bought these because they were no longer available at the local hardware stores. Longevity, brightness ratings change even for the same wattage. Replacing GE bulbs that lasted about 18 months. These have lasted much longer (haven’t had to replace one yet).

Seems all the mfrs are getting in on the short-life game so you have to buy more often or spend more. Big advantage over incandescents, eh?.

These BR flood lights do disperse the light more evenly. The light is warm but lacks reflecting colours as vividly. I believe they would be better by being closer to a daylight set of frequencies. There is a noticeable increase in efficiency.

These lights make our kitchen noticeably brighter than the first generation LEDs they replaced. LED technology has clearly developed.

BR30 65W LED work perfectly with my Lutron incandescent dimmers. Full range of dimming, no humming or flickering. Definitely soft white color, not hard on the eyes. Definitely worth $3 price per bulb.

Get em’ while you can.

Finally found the right light bulb for my light fixture. I find shopping for light bulbs is hugely challenging since the selection changes ever time I go. However, these are nice warm glow lights (not that bright white office style lighting) and it fits to the standard lighting specs of R20.

Would buy again as it a decent price.

I installed sixteen of the Phillips bulbs to replace old fluorescent bulbs over the choir loft. Was very impressed with selection and pricing. The choir is very happy and singing praises to me. I am happy with the thought of not needing to change bulbs for many-many years.

The 25 degree angle provides great distribution. I will definitely check BulbAmerica next time we need LEDs.

Bought this for outdoor accent lighting at Christmas. The bulbs are very bright and work well outside. Of the 4 bulbs, only 3 of them were working, which was a complete disappointment. Would’ve given this 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the 1 non working bulb.

Great bulb perfect for gaming. I like to use it instead if white light to play xbox because it eliminates Glare on my screen like i get from white light. And its a good night time light to see around in the middle of the night without turning on bright white lights that make u squint until your eyes adjust.

Bulb projects beam of light directly onto my American Flag at night. This is a high quality light bulb.

Nice and bright as soon as they turn on, unlike fluorescent bulbs. Two of them will light up an area the size of an average back yard.

These lights are very bright without having to worry about how much power they consume. They deliver that right amount of light without going overboard. And for the price you cannot compare it to any other product.

Love the color of light, its not that blue/pure white color it is a lot more welcoming to me. They throw a good bit of light too! Definitely flood our back yard and can see everything.

One of the bulbs had threads that were misshapen, It almost seems like it got dropped on the end and it smushed the threads together. I cannot use it as it will not fit into a socket. I would like to return it, but with COVID, not sure how easy it would be.
