20 Best Leave In Conditioner For Curly Frizzy Hair (2023 Updated)

Wow! This was better than expected! I did receive this product in exchange for my honest review. My opinion is my own based on using the product on my color treated, frizz prone hair. My hair is naturally curly but I heat style and wear it straightened.

I’ve used this one both wet and dry hair. It worked great as a heat protectant. I found that since this is a thicker milky product, spraying into my hands then applying throughout my hair worked best.

The texture of my hair felt smoother and softer. This was my first time trying anything from this brand, I actually didn’t know the products were good for curly/wavy/dry Caucasian hair. Cons: the smell is intense so that could be polarizing (I didn’t love it but it wasn’t bad), some of the 25 benefits seemed redundant or weren’t applicable, I would have liked to have gotten more shine.

I also felt like I needed a lot of product for my hair length/thickness Pros: great heat protectant, hair felt healthier/less dry and damaged, great for next day touch ups on dry hair, use to finish and smooth hair after drying Overall, if you don’t mind the scent, I’d recommend trying this! There is a mini size available which might be a good way to try before investing in the medium or larger size.

I have really long hair- like, long enough to sit on. In the past I’ve used argan oil, but have found most varieties to be too heavy to use on my roots. This was offered as a trial size on one of my past Sephora orders and figured it was worth a try since it’s free.

I was a little wary b/c some of the heat protectant products out there can be too heavy when I’m not heat styling, and I generally air dry my hair nowadays b/c tbh blow drying my own hair is a pain in the arms, and back, and neck.

But I’m so glad I tried it, this stuff is AMAZING. I work the product through starting at my ends when detangling after a wash (CWC method, 2-3 times a week), then use a very light touch of the product on my roots unless I’m blow-drying when I go a bit heavier.

It’s made detangling much easier and the smell is pleasant without being overpowering. I’ll also sometimes use a spritz or two on my ends in between wash days before putting my hair into a bun or braid.

Very long hair can get weirdly crunchy and dry at the ends, but since I started using a touch of this on my ends I’ve noticed my ends feel smoother and aren’t splitting as much. Obviously I wish it was less expensive, but it’s a pretty reasonable price and doesn’t cause build-up.

my hairdresser (who is also my best friend’s sister) actually gave me this for free, and i was not told to review this and i was not gifted this by the actual brand, so my opinions are fully my own. at first i was super skeptical because it is a spray, which i don’t tend to find moisturizing enough for my curly hair, but i actually ended up loving this stuff! it makes my hair super soft and moisturized, and my hair hasn’t felt like this for a LONG time.

unfortunately, the only cons are: i don’t find a little to go a long way, i use about 3 pumps for each section of my hair (i section only two parts of my hair, top and bottom) and it takes a good amount of the bottle, so i can see this only lasting about a month or two (i have the normal size).

also, i hope they release a fragrance free formula soon! i’m picky about scents lol. overall, i do recommend this, but if you have low porosity hair i would stay away from this, since it has coconut oil, proteins, and silicones, all of which are good for high and medium porosities since they need to be sealed to keep in the moisture.

low porosity hair is already packed together, making it hard for moisture and water to get in. but if you have medium/ high porosity hair, i think this will work great for you!.

I have extremely thick 4a-b hair that coils when wet. My hair is also extremely dry. So after washing my hair drys within minutes it seems. Hence, I am prone to breakage. I just tried this out today and I already know it works for my hair.

It seems to actually get into my hair and not just sit on it. Its been over 12 hours and it still moisturized, usually I have to add something before bed but no I am all good. Now, the only problem 4oz for 27usd? Honestly, that’s a little pricey especially when you are Black/African American and you have thick hair.

I’ll probably get 2-3 more uses, 4 if I push it.

I ordered this product accidentally (I meant to order the Nourishing Oil), but I decided to keep it and give it a try based on the other reviews. I use the ant-frizz shampoo and conditioner, as well, so I thought it was be interesting to see how they all worked together.

I like it- I like it more than most of the conditioners I’ve tried- but it’s not magic. It left my hair feeling *incredibly* soft (really, really wonderfully soft), which is unusual for my coarse, curly hair.

And the other reviewers are right; it has a pleasant, light fragrance. But it didn’t really help any more with frizz than the normal shampoo + conditioner, even when I used a bit more of it and focused on the middle-to-end of my hair.

Perhaps it’s optimized for finer curly hair? Regardless, I wouldn’t recommend this as an anti-frizz conditioner for coarse hair. If you’re mainly looking for a lightweight, lightly scented, delightfully softening conditioner, though, this one is excellent.

I bought this over a month ago, and I have been using it nearly every day. I previously used NAK’s leave in condition for 1yr and have that to compare against. I was keen to try something new with Living Proof from the raving reviews, but I have to admit that the performance is average.

It does reduce the overall frizz of my hair, but not by a significant amount (definitely less effective than my previous leave-ins/oils). I also find it difficult to spread the product through my hair as it usually clumps my hair strands.

Found the best way to do it on slightly damp hair + comb through.

I have used random products from this line and some are a love hate relationship. I don’t mind the texture and the way it leave my hair feeling. A little goes a long way for my 3A hair. The smells is nice and not over powering.

Not my first thing I grab out of my products.

Love this…. recommended by my stylist. Keeps my hair wavy medium length hair soft and smooth (use only a tablespoon or two). I still need gel or styling product to enhance but great conditioner!

This product sounded good, it was I might add over priced for a “sample size” but it’s a good brand so I thought I’d try it. I cut my hair recently and usually it curls more when shorter so I was looking for a new conditioner.

I’ve seen thick conditioners before but this ridiculously thick even turned upside down banging it on the bathtub wall barely any came out. You shouldn’t have to poke your finger in and try to get enough out and that’s filled up.

what if it was far down. A terrible product contaIner, perhaps it’s a good product. The little bit I got out was okay (no bad smell) but returning it and complaining. Sometimes a great product is put into a terrible container.

This would be the idea but I was very disappointed.

I should start by saying that the original One Condition Delight was my holy grail. Then DevaCurl reformulated. I was hopeful, thinking that maybe my holy grail just got even better. Not at all. The new version made my hair feel like a dry, brittle rats nest.

After checking the new ingredients, it all made sense. They took out some of the great ingredients, and added Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol), which is extremely drying. Most of us with textured hair, already have dry hair naturally.

Huge downgrade, and now I start the search for a new holy grail.

First time using DevaCurl products. I paired this with the wave maker and HATED the texture of my hair. So I just added this leave in in addition to my regular products of Pravana Leave In and Chi oil, and I think I like that better.

It helped a TON with my frizz. Didn’t completely smooth it out, but I’m also dealing with insane weather and humidity. Will definitely keep using this as long as it doesn’t seem to weigh my hair down.

I don’t know my “curl type” but I’m half Hispanic with frizz/wire like waves and thick hair. Doesn’t seem heavy but haven’t used it long term yet.

Can’t find the exact one but this stuff is really great! If you get the scalp scrub 2in1 3x moisture oil+cream+butter! I was highly skeptical but this stuff really is great shampoo. It helps to gently scrub and cleanse the scalp and head.

For a deeper clean it suggests leave on for 2 minutes before washing. I love this on my curl head girl. Makes her hair feel clean, soft, and nice!.

I have super thin curly hair. I’m from MS and just moved to Denver CO. Going from humidity to dry weather really did a number on my curls. My hair was so dry frizzy not shiny and no bounce. I’ve tried so many different products.

This products gives my hair life!! I am sooo happy I found this!! And whenever I go back home to Mississippi it makes my hair even better. It’s perfect for humidity and dry weather!! This is a must have!! A little goes a LONG way! Definitely recommend to anyone who needs life back to those dull curls.

If you’re looking for a leave in conditioner that will stay working in your hair all day (and into the next) then you definitely want to give this a try. I only usr a leave in conditioner on my hair once every couple of months or so but when I do I’m looking for something to rejuvenate my dry hair.

If you’re similar to me and want something to really rejuvenate your hair, then you should definitely try this! The conditioner itself has a thick texture and lathers up well allowing you to use only small amounts at a time, making the longevity of the bottle great.

I really like the idea of a leave in condition so with rhyme and reason offering so many amazing benefits I couldn’t wait to try it for myself! R&R are known for their eco friendly products which first stood out to me, as far as I’m concerned if its better for the environment it must be better for my hair! I loved how easy it massaged into my hair and smells incredible, it’s texture is quite thick and creamy so when applied I felt my hair was getting a thorough conditioning! So I left in and blow dried as normal, it combed through very easily and felt moisturised, it was very easy to style and very manageable.

The only minor downfall was it left my hair looking greasy, maybe it’s just my hair that is prone to being greasy. I had to rewash without this conditioner to remove the greasy appearance. However the condition of my hair is so much healthier and managable!.

I have tried this brand before but I must say this range is my favourite! I have wavy hair type 2c and my family say it’s curly and I say it’s wavy lol but I suppose that’s what 2c is confused and in between.

This leave in conditioner left my hair feeling soft and shiny. The frizz wasn’t visible but my curls were more defined. It actually looks like a loose perm now I’m loving it!! My hair is bouncy and light and has probably never looked this healthy before ! The leave in conditioner goes brilliantly with the conditioner and shampoo.

This leave in conditioner gives the trio an added kick. I’m not turning back now and will stick to this new favourite now! Highly highly recommend!!!!.

Guys I was so excited when I seen this product and had to buy it. I normally love all CHI products! I mean with me having curly hair CHI was one of the first straightening hair products I tried and fell in love with so this product must be amazing.

Man was I wrong 😞 I noticed immediately how drying this was to my hair after the first use but because I spent $40 for both shampoo and conditioner I wanted to not waste it and give it more time. My hair is pretty picky….

I used this for a little over a month and my hair is so dry and brittle that it now feels like horse hair again. I had just gotten it to almost this perfect curls. (Side Note: I committed almost 2 years ago to never straighten my hair again and to do all the curly hair tips I had seen and it worked) I’m so disappointed and feel like all my hard work was just voided.

Please know that this is my experience only so if it works for you I’m super stoked but foe me it has been a big set back. Nonetheless lesson learned. 😩 I have now started my curly hair journey over and slowly they are getting their bounce back.

I have very thin, very fine and very naturally curly hair. This product is light weight, non greasy and lightly scented so it’s not so overwhelming like some of L’oreal products. It tames the frizz and the floaties as I call it.

People with naturally curly hair know about frizz. My hair is so fine that without hair product it literally floats. And a bonus. it has the aloe vera in it so on occasion I have added a pump to my moisturizer and used it on my skin.

It rubs in well and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue. It IS a little pricey. Most of the CHI products I’ve tried have been great. LOVE the LIGHT scent but price keeps me looking for a comparative alternative.

I found this to be an excellent light conditioner. I have 3 b hair that I bleach and dye fun colors so my hair is a bit damaged, but this product line has been really nice to my hair. The conditioner isn’t going to be great for anyone with type 4 hair or above, but it is excellent for waves and 3 type curls because of how light weight it is.

I wash my hair once or twice a week. I wash, rinse, condition, detangle, leave on for 5-10 minutes, rinse. I usually put the leave in conditioning treatment from Chi on after but while I am still in the shower.

And sometimes I will do a deep conditioning treatment instead to get the moisture kick I need.

Amazingly transformed my hair to the way it was decades ago when I used very little effort, before all the highlights came into my life and damage repair products entered my hair care regiment and this was very easy to use.

After using the detox shampoo, I towel dried and sprayed this over my hair and the smell was divine. Other clients must agree because this company has just come out with a line of perfumes and candles of these scents by popular demand.

It was one of the best detanglers I’ve used in a while, and I styled it with the Revlon heat styler. It was great all day, my hair smelled good but not too strong like other shampoos and conditioners lines are sometimes.

It just smelled all over as if I’ve been to the spa and had a great massage with some delicious essential oils. And my hair looked like it had just been styled and cut and it glistened, was smooth bouncy and in 99° weather with 100% humidity there was not a frizz on my head all day.

Even when we had a sprinkling of hot sizzling rain in the late afternoon, my hair stayed fresh, soft and kept its style. The only other product I used, it was a sample of Verb ghost oil that I ran through my hair before I left for the day.

But it was only a few drops on the middle part of my hair that tends to frizz. So far I like it. The second time I used it, it didn’t seem as dramatic of an effect of a good hair day, but then later in the day when my hair was dry I sprayed more on and it gave it a nice glow and body.

I will probably also use rinse out conditioner before I spray this on my hair.

I love this leave in! It smells amazing (although if you’re sensitive to scents I would not recommend this because it’s strong), it leaves my hair so soft and frizz free, and the bottle lasts a really long time.

I will say you have to be careful about how you apply it, even just a little too much can leave your hair feeling a bit greasy and weighed down. I apply about five sprays throughout my shoulder length hair, comb it through, air dry, and then comb through once more and it’s perfect.

An additional note, for whatever reason this product leaves my hair very straight. My hair is naturally poofy and a bit wavy, but air drying after using this spray leaves it smooth and mostly straight besides the ends that can get a bit flippy.

No poof in sight! I don’t know why this product straightens my hair, but I love it because it cuts waaay down on the amount of time and heat it takes for me to straighten my hair. Plus it’s a heat protectant! I love any product that can function as a conditioner and a heat protectant together.

I have fine, long (mid-back) hair and an oily scalp. I wash my hair every second day. I had decent volume in my youth, now my hair has about half the volume it used to have. I usually air dry my hair.

Most leave in conditioners I have tried have either been too heavy or have done nothing useful for my hair. This one actually does a nice job of making my hair smooth without weighing it down. I spray the conditioner on the bottom two thirds of my towel dried hair, avoiding the area near the roots because of my oily scalp.

The conditioner definitely helps with detangling and my hair is wavy without being frizzy once it has dried. The scent is quite strong when you spray on the conditioner – not bad, just strong – but the scent disappears once your hair is dry.

I bought a small bottle to test out the conditioner and will definitely be buying the large bottle going forward.

I’m hair loves conditioner and I protein and I am always trying new products. I tried the Nexxus Curl Define Strengthen and Moisturize Leave In Conditioner for Curls. It has proteinfusion with silk protein and Marula oil to lock in moisture while controlling gross, leaving curls soft and defined.

My curls are always thirsty for more moisture and conditioning. The smell is similar to baby lotion products and I like it. You apply while wet, section, distribute evenly, and could be used as a curl refresher, I would recommend for curly girls.

My personal opinion I would not use everyday, too much protein can be bad just like too much of a good thing can be bad. Iam using every other wash for me.

I have medium thickness hair with S waves, not curly at all. I originally bought this for my daughter who has thick, curly type 3A hair, and I ended up trying it because I ran out of my usual leave-in cream and I needed some thing to put in my hair.

I was absolutely stunned by the results! The ingredients in this looks pretty typical of most leave-in creams, but I think the way it was formulated makes all the difference. I apply this stuff from my ends and work my way up to about 3/4 up my hair.

Never have I ever felt softer hair in my life! Since it has demithicone, you can rest assured that will provide optimum heat protection from blow drying your hair and it will keep frizz at bay. It washes off easily in the next wash and hasn’t caused build-up at all.

I believe it even extends the time in which my hair stays straight after using a hair straightener. So you no longer need to use a heat protectant after a leave in cream and you no longer need detangler because this stuff works amazingly.

I have bleach damaged hair and this stuff made it feel less gummy. Since it works well for me and my daughter’s type of hair, I don’t think this is suitable for girls with type 3B-4C hair because it won’t give the intense hydration that you’re looking for, unless you’re using this in a LOC method and using it as the first step.

I hesitantly got this conditioner because I wanted to try a leave-in conditioner that is especially made for curly hair. I do not have tight curls, yet my hair is curly and without the use of the right products, it is a wild mess! This is not my usual brand, yet I was hopeful that it would condition my hair and that it would live up to its claims.

As a curly hair girl knows, trying a new curly hair product comes with skepticism and frustration. Let me start by first saying that the jar that it comes in is not sealed. Therefore, when I first opened the lid, the product spilled out and went all over my hands.

Not a first good impression! The product is light and creamy. I applied to my wet hair after washing. I applied about a half-dollar size of this product and spread the conditioner throughout my hair with my fingers.

My fingers went through easily and I did not encounter any tangling. After air drying my hair, the result was soft curls that bounced without feeling tacky. My curls were defined and shiny. I liked the look and feel with just the conditioner and no other product.

Yet I plan on using it with my other products since I still encountered frizz as the day proceeded. I am very happy that this is a product I can use occasionally to nourish my curls without leaving them feeling harsh.

Lastly, the smell is phenomenal! I found myself smelling my hair throughout the day. The scent is soft and fresh and not overwhelming.

I recently tried a Devacurl product sample which prompted me to explore this line a little more. This leave in conditioner is fantastic! I have naturally wavy/curly hair that tends to get tangled and mattes easily.

I prefer hair care that doesn’t contain silicones, sulphates, SLS SLES. The consistency of the conditioner is perfect, not liquid and messy but not so thick it’s hard to distribute! It isn’t a heavy or oily product either, I found it made my hair feel silky and healthy without being weighed down or greasy.

The scent is really fresh and isn’t overpowering. It also blends well with the scent of the Flexfactor product! Highly recommend for anyone who needs a lightweight but effective conditioner, for anyone that struggles with dry and prone to tangle hair.

The reviews here that give the product one star are super accurate and my experience using this stuff is exactly as disheartening as theirs. I really did try to like this product and used it for like a month before I threw it out.

My hair never looked and felt so awful and dry. It’s like it zapped the hydration and nutrients from my hair and I’m not even exaggerating. I wish I was! There were zero benefits to using this product.

I can’t believe they’re still selling this stuff. Looking back at photos of myself from the time I was using this, all I can think of is how dry my waves look and how unfortunate this period of time in my life was for my hair and my self esteem.

Seriously the worst product I’ve ever used and that is saying a lot!.

I have always loved DevaCurl products. They smell so good and always left my curls looking fabulous. But then I noticed my hair wasn’t as thick as it was before I started using this. So I did some research and saw that alot of people said they noticed their hair was thinning while using this.

So, I stopped using this product and my hair feels like it’s getting back to normal again, it’s taken months.

Le behentrimonium methosulfate (ou BTMS) n’est pas ce qu’on appelle communément un sulfate. Certains vous diront que c’est mortel pour le cheveu comme on peut l’entendre (trop) souvent pour tout ingrédient n’étant pas 100% naturel.

Le BTMS a une utilisé notamment pour so action démêlante et le produit est extra. Maintenant, ça peut être un frein à l’achat du produit sans justifier à mon avis une note de 2 étoiles. La note s’attribue après avoir testé le produit.

Très nourrissant, mais j’avoue que je suis davantage satisfaite quand je l’utilise avant le twist n shout. Quand je l’utilise en retouche, je suis un peu déçue car il fait gonfler mes cheveux et fait perdre de la définition à mes boucles.

Mais globalement, la gamme Blueberry Bliss de Curls est top. Vraiment de très bons produits pour cheveux bouclés afros.

Definitely the best. I tried this based on the reviews & I have been very pleased with my first shampoo & condition with this product. My fine wavy & ageing medium length hair has life in it again. It’s soft instead of brittle on the ends & I am so happy as I have immediately noticed less hair breaking off.

I tried a lot of other products too & the claims didn’t stand up like this has.
