I bought this for my son and I to learn tooling. It’s a great kit to get the basics and a good rundown on how to use them. After doing my research, this was by far the best bang for the buck with tools and leather.

My only problem was the leather dye spilled. Had everything else not been individually wrapped, everything would have been ruined. Almost all of the dye had leaked out and soaked the box.

I bought this kit as a gift. It looks likes like a great place to get started with keychains and other small leather projects.

Great product for just starting out. Will be continuing to use this product for future inspiration!

This was a great starter kit for beginners. It was very easy to use.

Great little tool for what I do just small knife sheaths and maybe some phone cases. Can hold my leather as I stitch and it’s adjustable so that’s nice just turn the Phillips head screw a time or two.

Awesome kit too! I love the quality yet affordability of the tools. Best bang for your buck if you are just getting started.

Disappointed that the beginner kit did not have a needle in it although it did have thread. Also no instructions of any kind. If I hadn’t also ordered wallet kit and it did have a needle. I ordered it for a grandson and he was able to find help on the internet.

If it had been for me, I would have been lost if it had been for me! It would have been returned!.

Very useful tool setup for a beginner leather worker. They seem to be made of durable metal. I would recommend these to anyone starting out in leather work.

The tools are OK, not great, but good for a beginner like me. Better to have less expensive tools to start and then buy higher quality tools when you learn what you actually need.

First time leather tooler, works great! Great quality! The knife needed a bit of jewelers rouge and then it worked beautifully! Great product and quickly delivered.

Perfect tools for me to begin with. Excellent handling quality and polished look. After this and few other purchases ( pricking irons, stitching pony, leather), Weaver is my vendor of choice.

If you are wanting a beveler to edge your leathercraft don’t buy this. The bevelers are useless. The other attachments are just ok at best. The set screw is a good idea but they sent the wrong size allen wrench (too small) so it will strip out if you use it.

Over all not worth even the 8 bucks it cost.

I wanted to get some inexpensive leather tools to try the craft. I am very pleased. Was able to made a nice scabbard for a knife.

This set is a great set of tools in one Item. I have used one like it for stitching groover or to draw perfect border so many times it is not funny and I don’t think you ever find one any cheaper, any where.

A far cheaper way of getting all the bits and bobs I wanted to start leather work. Overall they seem to be decent quality as well.

This is a cheap start-up kit and will do for a novice but will need to be upgraded to something with a bit more quality.

I got these to use on a leather project and the two sizes I used broke pretty easily. The larger one broke after punching about 10 holes, and the smaller one broke after punching about 30 holes. I was working with 10 ounce leather so your results may be different if you’re working with something much thinner, but these shouldn’t be advertised as “Heavy Duty” if they’re this fragile.

These work great as leather punches. IF you hone (sharpen) them first. I tested the 1/4″ punch on scrap backed by soft wood. It would penetrate, leaving the leather edge rough, after several hard hammer strikes.

I then chucked it into a drill, sharpened the edge by spinning it against sandpaper (using medium grit, then fine). Then it worked. I found that you can also just use the punch by using it in the drill, just spinning it against the leather workpiece backed by soft wood.

It cuts cleanly and efficiently. Good value, if you don’t mind sharpening them first.

Well there is six hole cutters for the money; wow. I’m still learning and trying to get the tools I need for the projects I want to try to do and when these came in it was happy days. I find no faults with these tools they work great and stay sharp, I use them over and over and have found nothing bad to say.

I am don’t have much to say about this product. I tried to use it for my circut maker and did not have much success. So I can’t say its the products fault or my lack or knowledge and skill in leather working.

Hopefully my next experiment will work out better.

Sad to say, but I was not pleased with the lacing chisels. One thing I have learned about leatherworking tools is that you do not want to buy plated hand tools of any type. Unless they are made from stainless steel, they will eventually start to flake shards of plating off of the surface of the tools.

As soon as I started to hone the 6 tine chisel, I noticed some marks on the handle portion and, using a 10X magnifier, I found that the zinc or nickel plating had small bubbles in it. After inspecting the rest of the set, it became evident that all but one of the chisels were starting to shed plating.

I had a bad experience with another very high priced diamond sharpening plate with the same problem along the edges of the plate itself. I didn’t notice it until I happened to pick the plate up to move it to a storage shelf that I sliced the pad of my thumb deeply on a tiny sliver of plating which had delaminated from the steel and was sticking out on the very edge of the diamond plate! This is probably the first time I received a tool or anything else, for that matter, from Weaver Leather that was less than I expected in quality or finish so I hesitated even mentioning it until I received an email from them wondering if I would do a review on the chisels.

This was received just 2 days after I returned them to Weaver for a refund, so I felt duty bound to give a fair and honest review of the tools.

I gave been using these flat chisels for over a year now and I gave had NO issues with them. My main projects are holsters so I’m using them on moderately thick Veg Tan leather ( up to about 13-16 oz).

They remain sharp and very usable a very long time. I have sharpened them lightly once in all the time I have owned them. Just because the shiny finish comes off the tines, it doesn’t mean a thing. They are still as strong and stay as sharp as if they were new.

Smearing some Bees wax on the tines really does make a big difference in removing them from the leather, especially the 4 and 6 tine punches. I highly recommend these chisels and Weaver DOES stand behind them if you have any problems.

I skipped the cheaper stuff out there and just invested in what I thought to be decent tools to start with. I am happy with their strength, precision and durability so far, but I would have preferred them to be a bit more polished though as the finish tends to be a bit rough on all the irons, and I wonder if that can cause detrimental drag in the leather while working.

I do not have any ‘high end’ tools or experiences to compare these with but for me they do the trick and I do recommend them.

I already have multiple head punches. This single hole punch allows me to work faster and more precisely. Ergonomically compatible for continuous use. Comparative ease of changing punch sizes.

It worked fine for vinyl/leather, but did not cut through fabric strap. Size markings would have been very helpful.

This is a very good punch tool that is sharp and will last quite a bit longer than the cheap ones from China.

The Speedy Stitcher is a quality product and a great tool for repairing webbing and canvas. I was also able to repair a leather belt to great satisfaction. If you need to repair heavy materials such as canvas, tarps, straps/webbing or leather, you’re going to want to have one of these.

There are YouTube videos that show how to use the stitcher and it’s very simple to do. I like that it comes with a lot of extra waxed thread and spare needles. I feel like this tool is going to last a long time and be used for years to come.

ive had mine for years ive repaired farm equipment boat canvas and a torn pocket on my cabelas rain jacket which has also served me very well in some crappy weather. just a good solid tool i expect it will outlive me.

I bought this tool kit for my granddaughter and she loves it. From an early age I have always encouraged her to build and repair furniture, hang pictures, etc. This kit has all you would need for basic household repairs.

The tools are sturdy and very useful around the house. The case is compact and keeps everything in its place. I would recommend this product.

I really have enjoyed this little set. I just used the 4. 8 Volt Cordless Screwdriver to put together a bench and it made it easy for me to put together without my husband! This little set has some of those things that you always wished that you had, but they are not in other sets.

I love the carrying case, it makes it easy to transport tools to where ever you need them. Side note. I actually had to order this twice, the first time it came, the tools didn’t stay in their compartments and the small screw driver kit within the kit had a broken cover.

I just took it back to Walmart. The second kit that we got was perfect.

It is very useful and nice to have around the house. It has a lot of things that I will probably never use, but it also has almost everything I need to fix things in the house and for small projects.

I’ve been using one of these I purchased in 1968, and still love it. I finally decided it was time to purchase a “back-up”. The newer one has a slightly smaller handle diameter, and thus less storage space inside.

The quality seems to be close to the older one, but only years of use will tell!.
