More powerful than I expected (handles occasional longer grass that the directions say the mower won’t handle). Batteries last about 45 minutes (reviews I read before I bought advised that silent mode extends battery time & that’s what I’ve used) and recharge quickly.

Although I’ve not had to use them, it’s good to have the second set of batteries in case I wanted to continue mowing for two 45 min sessions. I am thrilled that it starts with a push of a button (no cord to pull as on a gas mower as that never failed to hurt my 76-year-old back).

I am thrilled too that batteries charge in the Makita charging unit (another electric mower I bought in 2007 had a regular battery that had to be charged on a trickle charger and kept charged all winter — that never worked well & was the reason I couldn’t use that mower).

This mower is heavy because it is metal, but this isn’t a problem — it’s what the wheels are for. I expect it to be durable and last many years. Finally, the price is right — this is an affordable great mower.

I bought this based on reviews and the recommendation of a friend He liked it On all three mowers that were delivered the four wheels did not touch the ground. After looking over the mower with my friend it was clear the left rear wheel or shaft is not in the right position or the whole rear wheel assembly is poorly installed or manufactured.

After speaking with Makita the customer rep indirectly indicated that this had been a problem although not for 3 in a row. You might think I am crazy for receiving 3 movers but I did not think it would be this bad, it seems so.

Also the packing is poor. The mower moves around in the box the nuts and bolts are in a wax paper like bag and in the 3rd mower the nuts and bolts were all over the box. (missing bolts in my friend’s box) This box needs foam and a better bag.

This box and packing is not set up for Fedex shiping I do custom finish and exterior repairs I have all makita battery tools and all have worked well.

I have been watching this mower for a while now and finally picked it up on sale a couple weeks ago. It was worth the wait. I love how sturdy it feels, and seems to be well built and easy to operate.

There is not too much grass to cut yet here in Michigan but from the little I have done, it has had no problem. Some have mentioned how heavy it is and that the self propelled feature really is a necessity.

I would agree with that statement. However, the drive system has a soft start feature so that the operator is not jerked around when engaging it, and this is both good and bad. I am not a fan of it because I do more trim work with this mower than long straight cuts so, by the time the mower is up to speed in the direction I am going, I am ready to reverse and go in a different direction.

Small gripe and totally dependent on how you use the mower. And I can totally see the rationale behind the design. The price tag is a little hard to swallow, especially vs comparable sized gas mowers, but I do already own other Makita 18V and 36V LXT tools so I have a pretty large collection of batteries and chargers already.

As I mentioned, I also waited until this item went on sale, so I think I got a pretty good deal. If you already have another charger and 4 more batteries, this is a no brainer. A set of four will charge in the time it will take you to drain the other 4 so, theoretically, you will always have power.

But with just the 4 batteries that come with the mower, and one dual port charger, if you have a large area to cover, there may be better platforms out there just from a battery perspective. Overall, very happy with this purchase, keep up the good work Makita!.

The only thing I liked about this mower is that it is extremely lightweight. Because of that it’s very easy to handle, despite being a push mower. The things I didn’t like are numerous. First, we bought this mower because we were giving our previous electric mower to our daughter.

One of the things we were hoping for was a more even cut given the twin blades. It was a little better, but not great. The other thing we were hoping for was a better run-time. We didn’t get it. The manufacturer claimed 50 minutes with the included 2 Ah and 4 Ah batteries.

We bought and extra 4 Ah battery “just in case” because it was on sale. We used all three batteries and the mower lasted just over 45 minutes. In addition, the mower is considerably noisier than our previous one, I suspect due to the twin blades.

Finally, the mower didn’t mulch well at all, but left clumps of cut grass all over the yard. I had to use a rake to break the clumps up. All-in-all, very disappointed.

I have mowed my lawn at a new house twice and am impressed with the simple, quiet and effective operation of this mower. The deck height adjustment is easy and tool free. It makes no more noise than a Dyson vacuum.

No more stinky gas. I read through the manual and looked online and I have no idea what the red lights and tones mean. As the controller switches from one battery to another I see the red lights change but without opening the battery covers and pressing the test buttons I wouldn’t know how much charge is left.

What does it mean if the light is to the right or left of the battery pack? Sometimes there are two light? There is also a continuous tone after it switches batteries – should I be concerned? What does it mean? Nothing in documentation or online has been enlightening.

I bought a home in March 2020, and a kind neighbor gifted me the model 25302. Having never mowed a lawn before, I found that using this mower was fairly quick, easy, and intuitive, the kind of thing I look forward to do every two weeks.

I can’t even imagine what it’s like to use a gas powered mower. I love that I can simply insert the batteries, press on, and cut the grass. I love the product so much that I went ahead and bought a Greenworks edge trimmer and leaf blower.

I like, too, that this mower is fairly quiet. I do have a question that I’m hoping a Greenworks rep can answer. Lately, I’ve been seeing trails of grass clippings being left behind as I mow the grass.

They’re not being vacuumed inside the bag, as was the case before. I’ve turned the mower on its side, wiped away the debris collected on the blades and surroundings, but the problem persists. Also, sometimes one of the red lights for the batteries lights up when I’m mowing the lawn.

Not sure if it means battery depletion when I’ve only been using it for 10-15min. Sometimes, the blade stops working overall. Any reason why these things are happening?.

Overall, for new technology this mower does just fine, if you overlook the cost difference. I would recommend this if you want an electric mower. This is to me the best there is. Two separate reviews here.

One, this Snapper against other electric mowers. Second, this against gas powered mowers. First, of the electric mowers, this looks GREAT! It is not covered in cheap looking plastic like ALL the others.

It is metal where it should be metal. Runs well, battery lasted exactly the advertised time range. Pretty to look at. ONLY complaint is the lever that releases the battery. It seems really cheap and would be hard to overcome if (When) it breaks.

You cant release the battery any other way that I can see. Why they cheeped out on that I have no idea. If you are thinking of going from gas to electric. Consider:LikesLight weight- Very light to push.

My whole lawn is slanted, so half the time I am going uphill. With this, I didnt use the self-propel nearly as often. Easy to maneuver- The light weight actually makes it easy to turn. Cheaper to power- No gas, but still uses electricity.

But not nearly as much cost as gas. DislikesTwice as expensive- People trying to sell these say it is cheaper in the long run. Youll never make it back. My gas mower has cost me $10 in 10 years, a dollar a year, to maintain (I take care of equipment, if youre hard on it, they both will be expensive).

So called experts say $67/year. No idea where they get that. And of course, according to them the electric ones are cheap as can be to maintain. Battery range is not long enough- With low height spring grass, it did the 45 minutes on the nose as advertised (Knew that was an issue up front).

Wonder how it will last in summer/fall thicker grass. Gas mower does whole lawn just short of twice. This I have to change the battery at least once. Not a huge deal though. No warning the battery is running out- Gas mowers spit and spudder to let you know.

Electric, 3 steps from full power to off. On this mower you can lift the battery cover and push the button. But doesnt really tell you exactly how long is left. Electric self-propel- The big complaint.

Could have left it mechanical. Worked just fine. When I pull the lever, there is an annoying delay and it is lethargic getting up to power. Gas one, instant power. Also, on the gas mower, you can feather the throttle of the self-propel like a gas pedal.

Electric it is all or nothing. There is a separate lever to adjust the speed, but it isnt the same as being able to just half-pull the lever and have half speed. In tight spots that is handy to have.

Also, if you release the self-propel lever and try to back it up quickly, the rear tires lock. So, you have to wait a second before reversing. Another annoyance of electric over mechanical.

It has exceeded my expectations. I have yet to use more than 1 battery for my lawn. It mulches well and bags like my gas mowers did. The ability to stand it up really saves storage space. It also helps in cleaning and blade checks.

The advantage over my gas mowers is the ability to mow along curbs with one side in the street. No oil or gas to be out of place. I haven’t experienced the negatives in other reviews that can be avoided.

This thing cut through thick grass that hadn’t been cut since October 2020. I have 1. 5 acres, so I did have to switch out batteries a few times, but I realized later it’s because when you use the self-propelled feature, it drains the batteries faster.

When I stopped using the self-propelled feature, the batteries allowed me to do about 75% of the backyard with 1 battery. I am now looking to get a 3rd battery, so I don’t have any downtime. It’s not as loud as gas mowers, and this cuts right the first time without me having to go back over the yard again.

It surpassed my expectations. I honestly didn’t think a battery-operated mower would do that good. I’m very happy with this mower!.

I did a lot of online research trying to find the best mower for my 2 yards and finally settled on this Greenworks 48v unit. So far, so good after a months’ worth of mowing 2 yards twice a week. The best thing to consider about this mower is that no gas or oil is required.

A simple push button to start the drive operation and one more to start the blade turning. Blade height is easy to adjust all four wheels with one simple flick of the adjuster rod. It can bag, mulch or side discharge with an easy change out operation.

The speed controller is also nice and if you get into thick grass, you can boost the blade rotation speed to easily cut through the thicker grass. The two included 24v batteries are enough for one yard, front and back and recharging only takes about an hour.

As with most battery-operated equipment, the spent batteries need to cool off for a short time before placing onto the charger. If the batteries are too hot the charger will let you know. Another thing i noticed with another reviewer is that the drive wheels need to actually disengage before you can easily back the mower up.

All you need to do is release the drive handle before you get to a fence or into a corner. Problem solved! You have to be smarter than the unit and the yard you are cutting. Like i said, only time will tell if this mower meets or exceeds expectations but at this point i believe that it will.

I’ve always managed to avoid mowing the lawn, but once we bought this mower I’ve actually enjoyed taking a turn mowing once in a while. This mower is impressively powerful and cuts like a gas powered mower, but is SO much quieter.

The self propelled function is very strong and really moves the mower quickly at the highest setting. The mower is so light that I really only use it when mowing the steep ditch at the front of our house.

We have close to 1/4 acre of yard to mow and we have finally managed to mow fast enough to get the entire yard done without having to recharge the batteries. The batteries recharge fairly quickly though so it’s not unreasonable to split a larger mowing job up over the day.

(Or just buy a second set of batteries. ) The light on the front of the mower is an additional handy feature, as there were some evenings over the summer that I mowed until it was dark out due to the heat during the day.

I also love that this mower can be stored upright, or even hanging on a wall, because it takes up less floor space in our garage. Lastly, when this mower first shipped, the box was fairly torn up and one of the two bolts and knobs for assembling the handle together was missing.

I contacted Greenworks and they were quick to ship me a new set. I was very happy with their customer service when I called in. Every person I spoke to was friendly and very helpful. (I do recommend calling as soon as their call center opens to avoid long wait times.

First, the good news: the mower is fairly quiet and lightweight, so it’s easy to work with. The bad news is that the battery performance is terrible. My lawn is about a half acre and it takes three charges to mow it, which wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t take almost two hours to fully charge them.

The description says that the batteries take 40 minutes to charge, which isn’t even close to the actual time. Because of this, completing a job that would take an hour with a gas mower takes five hours with this one.

And, yes, I mow when the grass is dry, rarely use the self propelled feature (why did I pay for it if I shouldn’t use it?) and keep the cut length set to high. Really disappointed in this product.

I purchased the “SUNJOE – Sun Joe iON16LM Cordless Lawn Mower” about a month ago and am very happy with my decision. I had actually purchased a Sun Joe 14″ electric mower first but realized that, between having to toss an extension cord around in efforts of not running over it -AND- also having a 14″ wide mower, cutting the yard was probably taking twice as long as it should.

So I sent it back and ordered the “SUNJOE – Sun Joe iON16LM Cordless Lawn Mower”. Setup was a breeze. Getting started was very easy as well. The mower is so light that it barely takes any effort to mow the grass.

It also cuts just as good as any other mower I’ve ever used. The 16″ wide mower is good enough for me but still allows the mower to be compact enough for easy storage. The only negative (and this is really on me) is that I underestimated the time it takes to cut my lawn.

With the battery only lasting 40 minutes, it takes me about one and a half charges. So I cut part of the lawn, then let the battery charge for about 2 hours, and then go out and do the rest. If you’re not okay with that, I would definitely check to see what other battery options are available -OR- consider purchasing a second battery.

I bought new but was able to get a good discount for signing up for the email list. If you’re having to make a decision based on cost between an electric mower vs a cordless mower, going cordless is definitely worth a little extra.

Save money by signing up for their email list (if the offer is still available) and also look at their refurbished mowers as well. The refurbished mowers will still have a warranty but it’s only a 90 day warranty vs.

Absolutely love it. it is lightweight, and cuts through grass well. I did not realize that what got me tired more than anything when mowing with my old gas mower, even if self-propelled, was the weight of it! And not the actual mowing itself! This Sun Joe makes mowing fun and pass by quickly!! Am less tired.

I used setting “3”. left a tall enough nice grass blanket to not get burned by the summer sun. I did not use the bag however. Some initial clippings of pine needles/grass mix piled up inside the back chute door area, but once removed, the grass itself never piled up at all after that.

The suction is very good, slightly less powerful than a gas mower, but even 1 foot tall grass spikes got cut well. I could not finish my 1/3 acre lawn, the battery was weak at that point. You are not to let it die completely.

It is quiet, runs smoothly, does not bounce, and cuts through small twigs, and medium pine cones that rolled in the way. It “gears up” if you reach thicker grass and cuts it well. Due to its narrow cutting path of 16 inches, it fits into the smaller areas of my yard.

In the past, my old mower did not fit so I had to use a grass trimmer. Another plus with this Sun Joe! I tried to order another battery on the Sun Joe website, as they offer a small discount seeing you bought their mower, but it is a blank white screen after you click on the product you are seeking.

I wrote them hoping they can help me out. I had been watching neighbors with another brand cordless, and after researching the two, saw that Sun Joe never ever has issues like that other one. And, at registration you can increase your warranty time for a few dollars more.

We are loving this lawnmower (as are our neighbors!) It came almost completely assembled out of the box and took us a short time to get the handle on and everything connected and ready for our first mow.

Obviously it has to be charged the first time you use it but we plugged the dual port charger into a garage outlet and charged the batteries (charge 2 batteries at one time!!) and it was ready to go in less than 2 hours! It is a nice mowing width for a yard and has multiple blade height settings.

It has a brushless motor which lasts longer than and old fashioned electric motor with brushes and is more efficient. It is lightweight and easy to push. The large clipping collection bag has an indicator window so you know when to empty it.

I found it easy to empty into one of our town’s approved grass clipping disposal bags. What is nice is how quiet it is. Homes are pretty close together where we live and yards are not huge. Because of work/school/sports unless it is mid summer we usually have to do our yard work on weekends and noise ordinances were preventing us from using our old, noisy mower before 10AM but this mower is so quiet we can get started first thing in the morning without fear disturbing anyone or blowing out our own eardrums.

This is a great mower for small to medium yards. It is quiet, lightweight, cuts great and recharged quickly. That it is eco-friendly is great and the lower maintenance requirements and not having to store and mix oil and gas are huge pluses.

It would make a great housewarming gift or holiday gift!.

The Sun Joe 24v-x2-21lmsp 48-volt is literally just what the dr. ordered. I need to get more exercise and this will do the trick. Of course the neighbor probably thought I was nuts a little bit ago when they went by and saw me trying it out.

(not a lot of grass in central IL in Feb. ) I mainly wanted to see how well it was going to pull itself around and it passed that test. On my wet brown grass it self propelled fine so I can’t see regular green grass being a problem when it starts growing non stop in april.

I wanted this to use on my front yard because it seems to grow faster than the rest and it’s a pain to get the big rider out and do just a little spot. With this mower you don’t have to mess with checking or changing the oil, no running out of gas and having an empty can either.

You do have to keep the batteries charged up but that’s pretty easy because I have a spot set up on my workbench where I keep all the chargers and batteries for other tools. Including other sun joe products.

I’ve had good luck with sun joe products and I don’t foresee this being any different. I never tested for length of run time because like I said, no grass and it was a little cold out.

I was needing a new lawn mower for my city lot, and I was seriously debating getting a gas mower, or start going green and grab an electric version. I’m completely and totally happy with my choice to go with the Sun Joe 24v x2 (48V) Mower system.

This thing is pretty amazing considering it’s running on (2) 24v batteries that you would use on your 24v hand tools. I was able to mow my front yard, back yard, as well as the area next to the house plus the neighbors front yard before my batteries started to flash.

I think I still had enough voltage to finish the back yard of my neighbor’s house if I didn’t give out and get tired. The mower is easy to setup, requires no gas, no oil, no fluids at all to leak out.

The battery charger is a 2 port, so it will charge both batteries quickly and has pretty lights to let you know how close you are to mowing again. The mower itself is like any other mower on the market, 6 positions height adjustment, bagger and open flow options.

It’s not very loud either, it’s not whisper quiet, as you can hear the blades spin around and of course makes noise when chopping grass, but it’s certainly not as loud as a gas motor. Would I go out at 5am to mow the lawn while the neighbors are sleeping hoping I don’t wake them.

I’m going to say no, because it still makes a humming type noise that can be heard. It’s just not that loud annoying exhaust from a lawn mower / go cart noise you’re used to hearing. It seems to be well build, and I’m hoping it will last me awhile.

I know Sun Joe has a great customer service and warrantee department so I have no fears that if something does happen I can contact them to get it replaced or repaired quickly. If you’re looking for a nice mower, that can replace your current gas model for an eco friendly version that doesn’t need gas or oil.

I had purchased this about a month ago and was very surprised that I had not done so before then. When I first eyed this mower and reviewed its features, I was intrigued. It first was paired with two 4Ah batteries and a standard 5-hour charger.

Then Worx surprised me by lowering the price a little, not much, but they changed the upgraded batteries to two 5Ah batteries and upgrading to a 1-hour charger. If they had not changed the charger, I would have been buying one separately.

I considered it a win-win for me. Since I have been looking at it and comparing it with other brands, the most important reason I kept coming back to it was the Power Share feature. It was totally awesome to mow the grass and since the batteries were only down to 40% remaining charge, I would grab it and use it on my hedge trimmer and my Axis saw.

No more using gas, or better yet finding out that I am out of gas in the can and needing more. I can hear family and friends when they call out to me due to lower noise. While I was cutting the grass I had forgotten about the Auto-IntelliCut™ and when it sped up to cut thicker grass, I thought something was wrong.

It did not slow down or choke off and die like gas mowers. I probably will not use the LED light much. The grass catcher does not drag behind like others that I have had and appears to be very well constructed.

Adjusting for the grass height was a little hard to picture until I did it, it is another awesome feature. I totally enjoy cutting the grass and look forward to it. The only feature I could think to add is some place to hold my water/drink bottle.

I have passed my experience with it and all my other Worx Power Share tools to my family, friends and people I encounter at work.

I chose a Worx mower since my old 20 year gas push died and I have other 20V Worx tools in my shed. I would divide this mower into pros and cons based on my mixed grass, slightly bigger than 1/4 acre size yard.

-5 year warranty on mower CONS: -Battery life/cutting range. This depends on your yard, terrain, how much you need to use self-propel (which cuts down battery life). I would way an average of 20 minutes for two 40V 5.

0amp batteries. I need four batteries for my yard. I would say unless you live on a postage stamp size city lot you will need additional batteries unless you want to take a 3 hr break to charge. -Handle bar adjustment/angles of levers.

The handle bar has two height positions. One is very low, the other very high for me. What I don’t like is the angled handle bar holding on to two bails–it seems awkward for me and is the biggest negative.

I would rather just have a straight handle bar on a mower. The two plastic flaps which release the handle mechanism to fold are jinky and will probably be the first thing to break. I would advise finding your comfortable height and leave it alone.

– A LOT of plastic. The steel deck looks well made and durable but almost everything else on this mower is plastic which concerns me about longevity. There is also the plastic front wheel piece which means to get an up close cut to something has to be done sideways and not head on.

It just seems to me that anything plastic will not hold up over years of use. Overall, if you’re in the Worx ecosystem to start and since the batteries are interchangeable it makes this mower a lot more attractive.

Also the 5 year warranty is also a plus.

Bought this mower in March and have used three times. It is a very solid lawnmower – I like the steel base, even though it adds weight to the unit. Cuts well and love the fact it is sooooo quiet. No gas fumes or difficulty in starting.

Just press the button and it starts right up. Cuts nicely and easy to control. The self propelling feature is nice, although I have only used it sporadically to save battery power. Bag is well designed for easy on/off.

I have about 1/4 acre to cut, and the batteries last just long enough to finish when not using the self propelled feature. My only complaint is that Worx has better batteries available and have chosen to go with older technology with these – I guess in the spirit of they want you to buy an extra set? It would have been better for them to include the 8 amp batteries, even as an option to upgrade.

Something for Worx product managers to consider. My biggest compliment for this product – it is proven easy and quiet to use that my wife has cut the grass twice since we purchased the mower! This mower has made a great addition to my family of Worx products – if you have other Worx tools and need a lawnmower, this is a no-brainer.

My neighbor purchased this same model 2 years ago. He recommended it to me when the self-propel mechanism on my previous mower (18 yr. old gas) stopped working. My first use last week was impressive.

So much easier to use compared to the old mower. The only place that I needed the self-propel feature with this mower is on the lake bank. I didn’t miss inhaling the gas fumes at all. I felt less exhausted after completing the lawn.

The battery lasted the entire yard, which was my main concern.

We’ve had this for a few years but it simply does not mow tall or thick grass even on the highest setting. When it encounters anything challenging the light blinks yellow/flashes and it stalls, which requires restarting, which is a two step (push key in, pull lever) process.

Sometimes it won’t restart. I have tried sharpening blade, and always clean the deck. The battery, since new, has never given 45 mins as advertised. Maybe ours was a dud, don’t know. Otherwise, the handle, folding, height adjust and headlight (used at dusk) are great.

I’m just disappointed in the mowing performance on an easy quarter acre lot. Requires multiple charges to finish and we’re thinking of replacing with a brushless auto-rpm competitor.

I meant to buy a slightly more rusted brand and hit the wrong button. It Tok a lot longer to arrive due to dispatch Isis\ues over East. I put the product together which was easier than I thought and finally used it and was very happy with how it performed when on buffalo lawn (not too long )Light weight and easy to use and the battery lasted through both medium sized lawns.

Hi sorry to say it is to tall for me its a great lawn mower but not for me I am not tall enough to push it cutting is not great at all lever in 3 is to high 2 is to low and will not push it through the lawn and dose not cut any grass I cannot alter it so I can push it and I do not know what to do but the lawn look a mess its not low enough to cut the daisy heads off number 2 is to low it sticks in the grass and can not push it because it is to low the blade is to high looks like I am stuck with it when I stand near the handle its all most near my face if any lower than 2 it digs in to the ground the is 3 is to high.

this is the worst thing I have ever bought from Kogan. Have only used 6 times and has fallen apart, tried to fix but no hope. As soon as I used again its too rickety and won’t even push anymore

I am pleasantly surprised by the stark differences between this battery powered mower and other gas-powered mowers. First, it is much lighter than any other push mower I’ve used previously. Even though it has a self-propelled drive, I hardly needed to use it except up steeper slopes due to the fact that it is so lightweight.

This of course makes it easier to push, easier to turn, and even possible to carry. The dual cutting blades do an excellent job of slicing and dicing through thick grass. I’m currently using the mulching blade that came assembled with mower but there are 2 additional blades I have yet to try.

This just means I won’t need to sharpen blades as often since I have 2 spare sets now that were included with mower. The mower is amazingly quiet. It sounds like a standard size window fan when running.

It’s so quiet I’m almost expecting it to blow bubbles when pushing it around. I joke that it feels like a Fisher Price toy but it definitely gets the job done. I haven’t enjoyed mowing grass as much as I do now with this pro-toy.

I just hope there’s an add-on later for a bubble blower or maybe a cool mist fan attachment to go on the handlebars! I gave this mower a 5-star rating because it has made mowing, cleaning, maintenance, and storage so much easier than before with gas equipment.

However, I can make one suggestion for improvement and that would be that the back hatch-style door that opens for grass catcher stay open in locked position instead of closing each time after you let go.

I have a gas-powered bagger mower that has a locking mechanism for this door that will allow it to stay open while you dump bag. Then as soon as you replace bag, you push down on a handle that releases the door.

This is very handy when having to dump the bag 10+ times on each mow. I do love the fact that I no longer have to pull start the mower every time I dump the bag.

I have a less-than-1-acre yard with some steep-ish slopes. When the self-propel of my decade-old gas mower went out, I finally had my excuse to make the jump to electric. I’ve had my eye on EGO for a while, watching reviews for years as electric technology improved.

Setup was a breeze, adjustments are excellent, though having to switch blades to switch between mulch/bagging seems excessive. The mower is lightweight – I don’t really even have to use the self-propel to mow, but it’s great to have.

The self-propel takes some getting used to – having rear wheel drive is new for me in a push mower, and the adjustment is very sensitive – I often end up turning it up to lightning speeds when I’m trying to bump it just a tad.

Storage is great, but it is an annoyance having to remove the bag to store. My first run over the lawn went great – battery life lasted the whole yard. I was feeling good after the test run. My first real full-lawn mow gave me a lot of hope – I got through 99% of the yard, dropped the battery on the fast charger, grabbed a drink of water, and was able to finish.

Not awful. Second time mowing I dropped the blade and ended up emptying the bag constantly. Battery did not make it 75% through just the back yard. Let it fully charge for an hour on the rapid charger and was back at it – died with 2 strips left to run.

Very disappointing how fast the battery life went from great to ‘meh’ with the drop of the blade one notch. I looked at additional batteries and the prices are staggering – almost the cost of the mower.

I’m still dedicated to this ecosystem and I’m replacing all my wired and gas power tools with EGO. I hope to have enough extra batteries to be able to hot-swap when I need to and get some more life out of the mower.

I wanted to love the mower, and while I am still trying to convince myself it’s the best thing ever, I’m a bit shocked that the battery life still can’t make it through my yard when the grass is a bit wet/heavy or it gets a bit long.

After 2 mows, I checked the blade and there’s already some significant knicks in it. I don’t mow over rocks, so I’m unsure of how these occurred, but it has me feeling like I’ll need to replace the blades on this mower much more often than I should have to.

I am hopeful, but must also admit disappointment. Hoping once I have more batteries my feelings will improve. I really think EGO should package the mower with an additional 7. 5Ah batteries for the same cost, or a larger battery.

If I would have got 2 batteries, this would have been an easy 5-star. The rapid charger takes an hour to fully charge the battery, having 2 would have wiped all my disappointment for my new little spaceship mower.

I have owned and used a gas-fired Toro for the past ten years. Age of the mower resulted in the need for more frequent repairs. The battery powered Toro offered me an opportunity to use a lighter-weight mower and to have a smaller impact environmentally.

But, I am not 100% sold on the new Toto. Here’s why: 1. With the bag attached, half of the grass goes over the front right wheel and onto the shaft of the mower rather than into the bag. 2. It would be helpful to include a numbering system to adjust the height of the cut as with the old gas-fired mower.

3. The height adjustment levers leave little room to change them and longer handles would avoid scrapping my hands as I change the height. 4. Height must be adjusted singularly for each wheel – that’s a pain.

5. More than once, I have had to run the mower several times to pick up grass – each run decreases my battery. 6. The mower does not function well in taller grass that sometimes occurs when there has been a lot of rain and grass cutting goes over 8 or 10 days.

7. The mower cannot advance without the blade being engaged. This forces me to cut in some places where I am just moving from one location to another. 8. Grass tends to accumulate on the door to the collection bag and gets clogged periodically.

9. Starts quickly and easily – far less physical stress than with my gas-fired older mower. 10. Light weight, agile, and easy to maneuver.

I purchased this mower late spring 2022; I’d had a Honda quad cut mower for about 13 years and to be honest I was never happy with it but at $700 I wasn’t willing to admit my mistake. I researched electric mowers for 2 years before I purchased this one.

I have used it 8 times so far, I am very attentive to my yard. I never mow at less than the tallest possible height until late in the fall (so 4 inches is my cut height), this is a new yard to us (recently moved) and it’s not up to par yet.

However this mower has done an exceptional job, doesn’t matter if it is wet grass, dry grass, 5+ inch grass, or I am just trimming a half inch off. Bagger works great, mulcher is fine (when the grass is 5+ inches and I mulch it isn’t awesome but it doesn’t clump).

No grass condition seems affect his mower. Light weight to push, SOLID construction. My yard is a 1/4 acre, I have no problem completing the mow in one charge. I have learned however to let the battery charge slightly longer than just waiting for the green light to indicate solid.

I finish mowing with one full bar of battery left. It cleans up awesome, storage is neat with the vertical option. This thing is QUIET! My old Honda sounded like a wanna be Harley, this is so quiet I don’t even need headphones.

It was cheaper than my 13 year old Honda and so far has out performed it too. If the battery lasts like others have indicated it will then this will have been a genius purchase and I will gladly give it more than 5 stars.

I was hesitant but so far pleased with the mower.

I was tired of spending a small fortune on biweekly yard service. It was always a justifiable expense though. I keep a clean house and am a pretty handy mom but I’m just not the type of person who’s going to struggle with a gas mower.

I’ve never had luck with starting, using, or maintaining them and gave up long ago. Always heard great things about electric ones and my oldest son just turned 12 so he’s old enough to handle a majority of outdoor chores.

I was just about to order a Ryobi (put my cc info in and everything) but at the last second realized that it was such a great price because IT DIDN’T INCLUDE THE BATTERY. And after more research realized most affordable options don’t.

Looked around for another week and happened across this model at a great price (a month an a half or yard service). It’s awesome, wish I had done it years ago and here’s why: – Light enough for a 12 year old to unpack, so rest assured you can move this thing around wherever you want.

– 12 year old assembled it himself. Directions are very clear and all you really need to do is attach the handle and a bag or mulch attachment. – It came with the batteries so no additional expense. Both batteries were charged in just a couple hours and we were able to get to mowing.

– Incredibly easy to start and push. The boy did the entire yard himself without any prior experience. – Bag included did great, only had to empty it once on a. 25 acre lot (on a previously maintained yard though, we weren’t mowing down a country field or anything like that).

Bag snaps right off and right back on. Again, the boy did it all himself. – The biggest selling point: IT IS SO QUIET! Honestly, slightly louder than a box fan. If your inside you won’t hear it at all.

If you like to do some early morning mowing, you don’t have to worry about waking the neighbors. I’m so impressed I might buy additional equipment that can run off the same batteries.

I found that I approve of it overall. Here is my review. PROS: 1. It has FIVE height levels, and you can adjust the whole mower with 1 hand! The height adjustment is a really huge win for people who live in FL like I do– because cutting your grass to low here can mean the death of your lawn.

2. It’s light weight. The body and the wheels are made of plastic. This makes it A LOT easier to control and traverse lawns that have a sloped run off as well as the speed at which you can move across flat surfaces.

3. I got 42 min of run time. 4. It’s way quieter and way easier to start. No priming or string pulling needed. 5. The grass catcher is detachable and also super easy to re-attach. 6. The battery sits on the top of the mower, does not get too hot to handle, and slides in and out of position without issue.

7. No more paying $2. 75 (or more) for a gallon of gas. JUST TO MOW YOUR LAWN! CONS: 1. It’s a bit smaller in width than any of the lawnmowers I’ve ever owned or used (but Powersmart does make a larger mower to make up for that).

2. Unable to cut my entire yard on a fully charged battery. I did cut about 85% of my total yard (front.

I originally ntended to give this 4 stars. I live in Texas where my three lawns (front and rear plus vacant lot to the side), are indeed bigger. Set to medium height, the Powersmart did the back and the side before the batteries ran dry.

They sould have told me to order an extra battery. Finaly I love this mower, I’d like give it a 4. 5 stars. My OLD lawn mower was a Toro one pull start. It gave me excelent service for many years. I am 79 yo and grew tired of filling a gas can at the gas station then trying not to overflow as I filled the mower tank, then pulling that wonderful cord.

When it was new it was one pull. When it was old it needed lots of pulls and my shoulders didn’t like that. The Powersmart does not have the power of the Toro. It is however adequate. It is light and easy to push, it is not quiet but a great deal quiter than a gas mower, and I have none of the tasks I hated with the gas mower.

I recommend it.

Excellent. Tall wet grass done as well as gas mower. Walk speed fine for me (78 yo), charges much quicker than my former Neuton mowers plus battery way lighter! On wet grass, lots of stuck clippings under deck need cleaning, not hard.

I mow 1/3 acre easily on one charge unless grass very deep and wet, then almost finishes w/i 45 minutes.
