20 Best Lawn Mower For Leaves (2023 Updated)

I wanted to actually use this before writing a review. I used this exclusively all season last year. I was extremely impressed and surprised. There is a small fan underneath that helps keep the motor cool – this fan seems to aid in pulling clippings into the grass catcher! Our yard was the cleanest it has ever been – it even pulled up those maple tree seeds that litter in the spring.

I prefer having the corded model , not needing to recharge or replace batteries. It was really a joy not having to need gas or oil. Not one time did I ever have this mower conk out for the many reasons my old traditional gas powered machine would treat me to.

No sputtering and running out of gas in the middle of cutting. No pulling on the starter over and over like and idiot either – just pull the bail and push the button. I actually praised this mower all season every time I pulled it out, and really look forward to using it again this year.

In fact I happen to be on here ordering an extra grass catcher for it when I remembered to write a review today. There is only 2 things I will say that is entirely different to an electric from a gas mower that are worth mentioning.

First – you can’t use this if it is raining or going to rain or starts to rain – for the most obvious. Second – you cannot flip an electric over and hose off with water to clean it off underneath after using – again because water and electricity don’t play well together.

Water can find it’s way into the electrical motor and controls. I highly recommend this model and the manufacturer! 2 Thumbs Up and a BIG Smile! :-D.

I was looking for a replacement for my 35 year old gas mower that was getting tired. I found this Greenworks 20 inch 12 Amp corded lawn mower at a very good price point. Using a corded electric mower is relatively easy when you mow progressively away from the point of plugging in the extension cord, I looked at the Extension cord requirements & opted to “UpSize” to 12/3 versus the minimum 14/3 called for in the user manual,This way I am assured of getting full power at the end of a 100 foot cord & if necessary I can extend out to 150 feet with the 12/3 cord specification.

This 20 inch mower is very powerful compared to a gas engine mower and the sublime quietness of the electric motor is nice versus the ROAR of a gas engine, I was easily able to mow through 12 inch high grass by making 3/4 wide swaths through the tall grass & proceeding slowly which is easy in 90F heat.

For my initial use of this mower I opted to use the side discharge chute because using the grass catcher would have required many empty-ings of the catcher due to the grass height. I really like the easy of setting the cutting height with 1 lever & at 3-3/4 inches it is the height I wanted in a lawn mower so that I do not scalp the lawn like I see professional mowers do, There is no greater joy than the feeling of using a well made New lawn mower after nursing my old gas engine unit for “just another mowing season”.

I like the pleasant Green color of this mower’s deck & the large diameter wheels make mowing on uneven ground very easy. This mower has much to prove to me given its predecessor,.

Bought this model in 2014. It has chugged through swampy grass and tree twigs up until this spring when the rectifier died. Replacing the rectifier I found no thermal grease had been used to maximize heat transfer to the metal plate radiator.

It ran another two weeks and died again. This time one of the brushes had completely worn out. The heat generated by the lack of sufficient brush tension melted some of the wire insulation and loosened the push on terminals.

The tension of the terminals should be checked every season, as well as inspection of remaining brush material. I had to replace the motor ($56) as the brush housings had melted their way into the plastic bearing cap (and replacement brushes were out of stock).

Just installed the new motor today and its back in business. The deck is finally losing its paint in places, requiring some touch up paint at season’s end. I have the snow blower, tiller, and weed trimmer, all of which have given superb performance and easy of maintenance.

The value was great. For a fraction of a battery powered lawn mower cost, you get somewhat more HP, and don’t have purchase greatly overpriced spare batteries which can cost hundreds of dollars. This lawn mower cost about the same a one 18 volt 6.

0 AH Ryobi lithium-ion battery (source Home Depot Retail). The Greenworks mower was half the cost or even less than a single similar AH capacity 40V, 56V, or 80V battery. That’s just crazy. Probably because no one wants to deal with a cord.

Yes, you have a cord to work around, and mowing takes slightly more time to finish, however I’ve got the technique down. We already had a 100′ 12 AWG cord, so we’ve just dedicated that cord to the mower.

The Greenworks 25112 weighs about 50 lbs, or 40 lbs less than our Honda HRX gas powered mower. The Honda has been a great mower and its ~6 HP can blow through tall wet grass which we have to deal with in NW Oregon.

However, our primary motivation to purchase an electric mower was weight, although less noise and pollution were considerations also. We have to walk the mower up stone steps to get from the back to front yard and garage.

The ~90lb self-propelled Honda was a pain transitioning back and forth. The lighter 120V/13A, 2HP, electric lawn mower seems powerful enough so far. You won’t get 2HP from a battery powered mower – period.

You also don’t have to worry about charging batteries and having a spare on hand in case the mower dies in the middle of mowing the yard. Our total yard area is somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 acre. Then there’s the life cycle cost of having two batteries and replacing them after X number of years.

I think a corded lawn mower has great value, and the Greenworks 25112 has been great to use so far.

Took it out for the first time to mow our lawn at our new house and it died. The first time out. Won’t start at all, even with outlets that are confirmed live. In fact, it keeps tripping the circuit breaker any time I try to turn it on.

Unbelievable. Apparently there is a piece (electrical bridge/rectifier) that can overheat and melt which will cause it to trip the circuit. So now I spent another $30 on that piece to hopefully fix this mower, whenever it gets delivered.

If it doesn’t fix it, I’m returning it.

I received a brand new mower, contrary to the experience of a few others. It was easy to assemble, has plenty of power, is easy to maneuver, and requires almost no maintenance. And I leave the mulching cover on the grass exhaust port so there’s nothing to rake.

This is my second one. I think the first lasted over eight years. Note that when the first one finally died, I pulled off the shroud and discovered that it was packed with lawn debris perhaps because I sometimes mowed over stuff that was pretty thick and over a foot tall.

I’ll give this new mower a cleaning every year or so and maybe it’ll last even longer. I also do check the blade every season. I’ve found that I’m comfortable sharpening the blade two or three times before replacing it, but I have a lot of fallen tree branches and it’s hard to pick them all up so the blade gets nicked up more than it might otherwise.

I bought this model several years ago and been extremely happy with the performance and tech support pertaining to the TB290. Maintenance is minimal because of the lawnmower design. I loved this machine so much that I have given it to my father for ease of grass cutting and he enjoys it for every summertime lawn care.

Parts are very easy to obtain through the online catalog as well with helpful staff on the phones to assist you with any questions. I upgraded to the XP490 and satisfied with the purchase. You can’t go wrong with Troy-Bilt !.

The top three benefits; 1. Homes in my neighborhood are on small lots and the mower is relatively quiet and relatively more neighbor considerate and friendly. 2 The mulcher blade is very enviromentally beneficial and effective because I can raise the deck height and chop up Fall leaves that what would easily fill twenty large lawn/leaf bags 3.

Have less than 3 hours on new Honda Mower but so far I have been impressed. I have owned Toro Mowers for over 40 years with excellent results so when I needed a new mower I researched Toro and Honda.

I really struggled with choosing Honda over Toro. I like the self-propelled much better than Toro’s personal pace. I believe the cut quality is better also. I like being able to select partial mulching and bagging simultaneously.

The 201cc engine never bogs down, even in wet zoysia grass. It starts on first pull. I got the electric start because it was the only model available. I’ll probably never use it given how easily it starts.

While you can’t go wrong with a Honda or Toro. I believe Honda has raised the bar.

I read countless reviews on countless manufacturers and models. And the options, warranty, service/repair and parts availability, dependability of the Honda name, and again the online reviews kept leading back to the Honda.

So i purchased the HRX217K6VLAA which gave me every thing i was looking for including someone to even walk behind it and mow. my wife! lol With the electric start she can go out and “start” the mower and go on her own.

Seriously. Electric start, easy speed and handle height adjustability and the wife is happy so I’m happy! Plenty of power and the mulch to bagging switch option is awesome. I’ve cleaned up the hay field(my yard) a couple of times all ready.

I hope i stay in this dream for a few summers. Thanks Honda and thanks Steensma for having it ready to go. even a full tank of gas when we came down for the demo/trial run.

These comments apply to our HRX217K6VLA mower, MAMA-1232689 purchased 8/19/2020. We mow two acres with a John Deere 60 inch underbelly mower. The Honda grooms places inaccessible to the tractor including boxed corners; close to fences, walls, flower beds and trees; tight places between ditches and fences and a narrow path around a sanitary lagoon’s dam’s top.

It isn’t used for normal back and forth lawn mowing. I like the mower, the following are question/ideas for improvements. The transition between the handlebar’s metal rods and top plastic portion is a straight cut off.

When mowing close, this plastic overhang catches on fence panels. A rounded transition will solve this problem. A height adjustment lever’s black plastic end tangles with mesh fence wire, gets pulled out and resets the height.

Changing the plastic end’s color to engine cover red will aid in seeing if a lever has moved. When mowing short steep banks, tight places, and wet grass the drive tires spin. Optional rear tires with traction treads are needed.

I haven’t mastered thumbing the Select Drive Control for extra torque. I use a medium fast setting for power in tough grass, to climb and when rubbing against fences and wall bottoms. When leaving the tough area I have trouble feathering the control to avoid the need to run.

The black “speed” knob moves out of its setting on its own. Providing a fine ratcheting feature will prevent this. Reverse is a nice feature but likely will raise cost and weight. Weight is a problem.

Situations often require pulling the mower in and out of a place and heading uphill. A light mower makes this easier. I do like the plastic housing, it cleans easily and won’t rust. The rear discharge enables mowing close to a wall or fence from either the mower’s left or right side, a great feature.

Would the chrome strips mentioned in the manual help protect the mower’s bottom sides when cutting very close to rough stone walls? Occasional rock hits are inevitable as both our lane and the road are crushed rock.

Changeable carbide cutting edge inserts would help retain sharpness and reduce blade damage. A way to drain oil better then dumping it from the filler neck is needed. A decal states the protective film over the mower’s top be removed before use.

Doing this on our mower will ruin the mower designation label.

I love this Honda lawnmower! It is a little heavy for me as I am near 80 years old and a woman. This is great for a man. It starts so easily. If I turn up the speed it can cause me to run and I must turn speed down when turning a corner.

The only thing I don’t like is the individual levers for each wheel. it’s supposed to be a good feature but not for me. My old lawnmower is 27 years old and I like the ease of adjusting wheels with one lever ever had a problem and it has a Honda engine and is still running.

This is a great mower! I checked it out on the Consumer Reports website before ordering, and it was the highest rated self-propelled push mower on there. The price reflects the quality, and it is well worth it.

The only complaint I might have is that it gets pretty heavy when the bag is full, but that is to be expected. The self-propulsion is great, especially on slopes where I used to struggle with my old mower.

I really like the weight of it I like the 9 inch wheels the ball bearings love the nine settings for the shut it bags really nice mulchs really nice I really like how it starts I really like how I dont have to turn it off to Empty the bag.

I also like I can set it in the 4-5 settings and mulch and bag at the same time.

I had a Husqvarna 775BCC mower and I thought it was great. It died after about 9 years and I read the reviews and this Honda model stood out in several of the “Best Mowers of 2022,” reviews. So, I bit the bullet (it was $400 more than I spent on my Husqvarna) and bout it after surprisingly finding it at a Lowes store that said there were no more in stock when I checked online.

Super easy to set up after unboxing and I was mowing my lawn in about 30 minutes after arriving home. The grass hadn’t been cut in three weeks and was thick! I had anticipated cutting it twice, but when I started cutting, I realized ONE PASS would do this job with this mower.

The engine is powerful and cuts the grass beautifully. The newly cut grass stands up straight. It is also much more quiet than my previous mower. At first, I thought it wouldn’t be as powerful when I started it but it was VERY powerful.

The mower is also much lighter in weight than my old mower and is much easier to maneuver. I did read in some reviews that it was difficult to go uphill, but I have a good size slope in my back yard and the mower had no problems or slippage going up the hill.

The select drive control is amazing. When you realize that you don’t have to constantly keep it at one speed throughout your cutting, it is a great tool to have. I changed it for the flat portion and the hill of my back yard and it was perfect.

My back yard also has more moisture, so I put the clip director knob to mostly bagging the back yard, but mostly mulching my dryer, front yard. The bag is also larger than most and the mower packs the bag quite well.

So you don’t have to empty the bag when it is half-full because the clippings are backing up into the mower. The Roto Stop button is also quite nice for when you do empty the bag and you don’t have to turn off the mower.

It also came in handy when I finished my back yard, and left the mower running while I went inside the house to have a glass of water without having to turn off the mower. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mower to anybody.

My yard is 1/2 acre and I mowed it all in just over an hour. It made me realize that my previous Husqvarna was not as great as I thought it was and how enjoyable it is to mow my lawn. My grass looks better than most neighbors who hired landscapers to cut their lawn.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the hight price tag, and just buy this mower. After your first cutting, you won’t have any buyers remorse!.

Let me start with I rarely, if ever, give anything 5 stars. That’s completely reserved for things that are above and beyond what I expect. I’ve only used it once, but I’m impressed with what I’ve seen thus far.

It’s easy to set up, starts on the 1st pull, has a very strong engine and cuts very cleanly. The self propelled function – this has to be the best one I’ve seen in a mower yet. I walk pretty fast (normal walking pace is about 4mph) so I set the control for max.

When I pressed the lever to max the machine almost jumped away from me! I ended up having the varble speed setting for about 1/3 of max and only have to bottom the control when the grass gets really thick and heavy.

I was seeing really good things about this mower when I was shopping for it and I now know why. The only thing that would make this mower better would be to have 1 lever adjustment for the front and rear wheels, which I have seen on other Honda products.

But that isn’t enough to drop this one to 4 stars.

Bought this mower, our second Honda, after careful consideration. The last Honda gave us a decade and had to be replaced after someone let it run out of oil. Oops. The last one did not have the ability to run un-attended without the blades turning.

So my question was is that feature worth $100? So far (first mow yeasterday) I’d say yes. A couple reasons. It’s easier to start than my last mower as you’re not starting the engine and blade. Next it’s easier to mow the lawn now that I can let go of the lever and stop the blade.

But the motor keeps running. So when the bag is full, I jst stop the bade and dump the clippings. But when I put the bag back on, I don’t have to start it up again. Just press the yellow button, then pull back the lever.

Really slick. Mowing along and there’s a tree branch in your way? Just let go of the lever toss the tree brach in the woods and do the two-step prcoess and keep mowing; no re-start needed. Read some other reviews that say Hondas don’t excel at picking up leaves.

Not true for me. My back yard had grwon up after a recent fertilization and had a lot of oak and other leaves on it. Can’t get over how good it looks after the first mow with our new HRX217VYA (Mama).

Defined cutting lines, no visible missed blades showing, and most leaves now in the woods with grass clippings. Wanted to also tell any Florida buyers that the tall wheels are a must-have. A lot of us have St.

Augustine/Floritam sod. This grass needs to be cut high. These high wheel Hondas have adjustments from 1 to 4 with half settings in-between. I set all my wheels at 3. 5, which corresponds to about 3 1/2 inches.

No way could you cut that high with low wheels. So MAMA rocks. Easy to start, love the way it “drives”, cuts great, bag system fits perfectly and is easy to remove. Just an excellent mower. Now if someone can just remember to check the oil.

But $800 is a powerful motivator. ;).

Functionally, I like this mower a lot. It pulls a little faster than mowers I’ve used in the past and I like the pace. Catcher works fine, I have the gift of a lot of leaves from a neighbor’s tree and it does a pretty good job of picking them up.

Now the reason for 2 stars: the carburetor is garbage! Barely had it a month when I had the first problem. Took to authorized service where they removed and cleaned it. I only use ethanol free fuel and keep the gas can and mower inside.

Apparently there was some degree of condensation that killed the carb. Since the carburetor is specifically excluded from warranty, it cost me $100! It ran for several months before having the same issue.

Had it removed and cleaned again. In the interim, I had bought another mower at an auction. The next time the carb fouled out again, I parked it and started using the other mower. I just bought a replacement carburetor, but it’s the same plastic junk as the original part.

It’s running again, but I know it’s temporary. I usually expect 5 years or so out of a self propelled mower, but I see this one being rolled to the road for a junk man to pick up and go see if I can find a mower with an engine that has something better than that junk plastic carb.

Too bad warranty doesn’t include refund of a defective design.

Had to take backthe first one as even a slight incline would shut it down. Got the second and all was good till it refused to start. Thought it was the carb. Had a 3 week period during late summer where it sat idle.

When I tried to start, nothing. Took apart the carb think maybe trash got in, cleaned in, but didn’t see anything. Put the same gas back in, and it ran fine fir two mows. Sat idle for another week and wouldn’t run again, cleaned again but would only run for a few seconds and quit.

Took it to a place toro had listed in case it needed warranty repair. The shop said they should not have been on the list anymore, but they took a look at it for me. Only charged $16 but said water in the carb.

Same gas (87, less than 10% ethanol ad the manual says) from the same can that currently runs in a riding mower, and mixed for a weed trimmer, leaf blower, and chain saw that all still run fine. But seemes to be working for now.

Moisture getting in to the tank? The gas lid has never really felt very tight on the tank with only something like a quarter to half turn to tighten it.

I am happy with the features and performance of this mower so far, but I am frustrated with the lack of important information in the Quick Start Guide. My frustration comes from the fact that the Quick Start Guide does not indicate the amount of oil that should be added to the engine before first use.

I would say it is even misleading because it shows a bottle of oil being poured in and the bottle of oil contains 32 oz. There is no indication that the capacity of the engine is only 15oz. It is very difficult to see the oil level on the dipstick when the oil is completely clean.

Why does Toro supply a quart of oil without indicating you should only use less than half of it? I don’t see anything in the QSG that suggests you don’t use the full bottle of oil. So, I think Toro needs to fix this as soon as possible to prevent inadvertently overfilling the engine with oil.

The mower is ok for what it is. However, there are 2 things that buyers must know. First, this is the first mower that was shipped without any oil. I don’t mean in the mower, I mean no oil to put IN the mower.

Second, and most important, the deck is EXTREMELY flimsy. When I tipped the mower to take it from my garage the deck started bending. As I said, it’s ok as mowers go, but have your own oil to put into it, and be careful when you tip it to clean it or move it.

This lawnmower is a lot lighter than most so even my wife can mow the lawn. It has a lot of height settings so you can mow the grass to the length you need. It is a little hard to start (cord pull) for her but I can pull the cord easily.

Goid value also.

I bought this mower 3 yers ago to replace a 14 year old Toro Personal Pace 21”. The My Speed system is a wonderful replacement for the Toro Personal Pace system. The combo of rear wheel drive and the variable speed is very important.

I have to cut 1/3 acre of very healthy Bermuda grass and that is a chore. The mowers 159cc engine has plenty of power for the thick Bermuda. ( Still starts on 1 pull ) The tall rear wheels help to push through it as well.

The signature cut system does leave a very clean and even cut. Mulches and bags the Bermuda pretty well. Now, for the little flaws. The rear section of the mower is made of plastic, though very durable, it does have a small amount of flex.

This will sometimes make the mower bounce a little. Not a big deal on most grass bud carpet grass is finicky and it leaves funny little ripples on the surface. Not the end of the world, but i do do put a lot of effort into how my yard looks.

As I use the mower more and more the hard rubber surface on the wheels has begun to wear. This is normal, but the wear has left them a little smooth on the tread pattern. This will sometimes cause the rear wheels to slip a little in the grass when they are engaged.

Neither of these 2 items would deter me from recommending this mower. It is a little pricy but good things usually are. Get it!.

I bought my SC 500 HW from a local dealer. Nothing but nice things to say about that process, but that’s another story. This mower is by far the best I have owned. Sturdy, starts on 1st pull, RWD is positive and adjusts almost automatically to my pace for the day.

I bag mostly mulch and occasionally bag and it works and cuts very easily with both. Nice looking level yard when finished. I have owned all the other name brands along the way (I’m 75) and this is my 1st Cub.

This mower starts and runs great. The self propel system work great in my hilly yard. The problem I am having is with the flap in the back which also is a main component of the bagging system. The pin that holds the flat in place continuously needs to be put back into place and even when the pin is put in place the flap does not stay shut when the mower is running.

This is a problem because when I try to mulch the grass, the clippings are able to blow out the back instead of staying under to mower to be mulched by the blades. The force generated by the mower blades blows the flap open which results in grass clippings flying everywhere.

When the bagger system is on, the same problem happens. When the mower is running, it blows the flap up just enough to let grass clippings blow out. Not the end of the world, I know, but also not was I expecting from a $400 mower.

Buy a $188 mower instead. Pros- easy to start. Cons- No guard on the drive belt, so its open to all sticks, rocks, and grass that’s getting chopped up under the deck. Damp grass makes the drive belt slip.

Steel deck, but flimsy plastic “caps” on front and rear of that deck. Those “caps” are what the axles connect to. Poorly built. After 3 years of ownership, I have to buy a new one. Oh yeah, when the drive belt jumps off, break out your tool set and prepare yourself.

No access panels to route the belt back on. If you have perfect level lawn, no kids that leave toys behind, and scrub everything meticulously after every 20 minutes of use, maybe this is a good choice.

I don’t live in a fairy tale and I work hard for my money, husq lost a customer for life.

We live in the country in a hilly area and needed a mower that could handle thick grass, blackberry vines and hills. We are more than delighted with this mower. We don’t use a bag because the grass is thick and would have to be emptied too often.

Also, we want the clippings to go back to the soil. We don’t use the side chute because it tends to pile clippings too deeply. This mower is perfect. Easy to start and almost never bogs on dense grass clumps, I just lower it over them like a stump grinder.

The rear power and variable speed handles hills – even very steep areas – with ease. It drops the mulched clipping straight down and I can run it right into the blackberry vines without even slowing the engine.

Great mower. Very east to start and built very well. Adjusted the handle, cutting height, put in the oil, added gas, and started right up. The self propel works great, and i have a fairly steep yard.

The included mulching attachment works great too and very easy to install. Definitely recommend this mower.

This is my first lawnmower so i do not have much to compare it to but here is what I think: My mower came with no oil or gas in the tank but it did come with 18oz B&S SAE 30 oil. The whole bottle was required to get the oil level to the correct range.

I filled mine on the high side to start so that there was enough oil to make the first pass through the components and still have enough in the tank. I then filled the gas tank. I had no issues filling either tank.

I then took the pull cable and wrapped it around the clip on the handle bars so that one can hold the clutch while pulling the cable. The mower started up perfectly on the first pull and sounded great.

I let it run for a few minutes to let the oil work through the components. Mowing my 0. 5 acres of lawn (4 sections) took me about 2 hours. My grass was very high and i had my blades on one of the lower settings so the mower did struggle a bit and shut off a few times due to the blades being clogged with grass.

I assume this was my fault not the mower. On my next cut a week later i raised the blade level (which was very easy by adjusting the lever on 2 of the wheels). This time it took me about 1. 5 hours with no unexpected shut offs due to blades clogging.

For the 0. 5 acres i have to clear the grass bag about 3-4 times. The grass bag is easy to remove and put back in place and does a pretty good job (catches about 85/90% of the grass). So far i have owned my mower for about 5 weeks and have cut my lawn 5 times with no issues.

I can just about cut the entire lawn on 1 tank of gas (2 out of my 5 cuts i had to refill the tank). I have been checking the oil periodically and it does fluctuate a bit. Sometime the oil is on the low side and sometimes its on the high side (assuming this has to do with temperature at the time of checking).

I have not added or removed any oil since the first fill. Overall i am happy with this lawn mower. The cuts look great, leaves nice lines, catches majority of the clippings, and is decently efficient.

It met my expectations.

I’ve had the mower for a couple of months now, and overall really like it. Pros: Powerful enough to cut through thick grass without getting bogged down Starts first or second try every time Fairly comfortable self propelled system Easy to change heights The free side shoot attachment saved this mower for me.

I highly recommend it. Cons: Mulching system is nearly worthless if your cutting less than once a week. The grass just grows much too fast, and it clogs the cutting system. I have to stop every couple of minutes to pull the back stop up to clear the deck.

I ordered side shoot and its made a world of difference. Works very well with longer/thicker grass, though it does leave clumps of grass in the yard. This is a one star mower without that attachment.

The bagging system is kind of weak. As stated above, if the grass gets too high, the bagger basically fills in the front, then clogs, causing me to stop more frequently. Overall, if you don’t have thick grass or can mow multiple times a week, this is a great mower.

But you need that side shoot if you only want to mow once a week.

When I bought this in 2021 I used it two times and it started perfectly I started it the third time and it shut down shortly after that. Would not start again. Did all the troubleshooting but still it does not start so I sit here with a brand new lawnmower that will not start.

It would cost at least $90 to take a look at other parts by a authorized Toro dealer. I was told by them that it could be the carburetor and it needs cleaned and I thought well that should not be because I barely used it, I think perhaps then somethings blocking the gas line and prevented gas to come in.

I had full confidence when I bought this thing because I had Toro prior to the new one and it honestly started every time it was used never had any problem even with lack of maintenance. At this time I do change filters and replace parts myself before on the old lawnmower so I do have confidence in the product but need some answers on this.

At this point I’m thinking that the changes/designs on the new lawnmowers could raise issues that did no t exist pin the old. I owned and operated my former lawnmower for 14 years with great results.

I know there are warranties on the engine but not on service and parts so at a loss can’t spend a whole lot more money.

So far, this has been a great mower. We don’t have a HUGE yard, but it still takes about 30-45 minutes to do the whole thing. The self propelled feature helps eliminate a good amount of force needed to push the mower forward, so you don’t have to burn as much energy.

It’s easy enough to start that my girlfriend can when she decides to mow the lawn. The water hook up, which I assume is for rinsing and cleaning it out, is the only thing that isn’t the greatest. Just doesn’t spray water hard enough to really give it a good clean, so we still tilt it up and spray it with a hose.

The only other thing is that the bag is nice and sturdy, but when it’s full, it almost creates a vacuum and you really have to put some umph behind getting the bag to begin dumping the grass out, or you just gotta grab a handful it pull it out.

Really, these are two SMALL dents in what is a really great mower so far, so even knowing those things now, I would still buy it.
