20 Best Lavender Shampoo And Conditioner (2023 Updated)

I have used this product for 4 months now (since July 2021, it’s now October 2021) and I started noticing recently that my hair just isn’t as soft or thick as it used to be. My hair is drier than usual and I have insane split ends and break in my hair despite not using heat except maybe twice a month.

I don’t usually have split ends because I don’t use heat and I cut my hair every 3 months. Since my last hair cut, my split ends are horrible and my hair just looks dead and ugly. I used Living Proof last night instead of this shampoo and conditioner and my hair looks so much better.

I left this review for the shampoo, but for the conditioner I just want to add that it doesn’t even feel like I am using conditioner. My hair feels more rough than ever and not hydrated or smooth. I’m genuinely not sure how this product has so many 5 star reviews.

This product is not good.

I’ve used this product for years. My beautician used it on me and I purchased. I have never looked back. I do have to use a silver hair shampoo occasionally due to the ‘salt’ in my hair becoming more and more prevalent, but usually only once a week.

The shampoo isn’t sufficient *for me* to clean and shine the white hair completely. The conditioner makes my naturally coarse hair very soft and manageable. I would recommend to anyone that has naturally curly hair, that is notoriously dry.

I have super thick yet pin straight hair. Oily scalp, super dry ends. I usually use a hair mask since I only wash my hair every 5 days. I’ve been using this in conjunction with the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Color Shampoo.

It leaves my ends so soft and not frizzy (frizz is a problem I have). I usually use my Framar “Wet” Brush to evenly distribute my conditioner and it glides through with this. I feel like I don’t even need a hair mask anymore.

The scent is so minty yet floral and fresh!.

I had spent the last 6 years dying my hair and blow drying and curling to finally realize that I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life maintaining color- treated, damaged hair so I went on a binge of researching and finding the best shampoos and scalp cleansers and treatments to get my gorgeous virgin hair back.

I stopped coloring my hair, stopped washing every single day and barely use hot tools to style anymore. I purchased the entire olaplaex system (3,4,5,6,7) and used it until the shampoo and conditioner were gone and then dropped 3,4 and 5 and now only use 6 and 7 which is the bond smoother and the oil after I wash my hair with the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner and WOW.

I have thick, curly, (used to be) course hair and it has never been so healthy and alive. My curls are so soft and bouncy and hardly ever frizzy. Using this shampoo; I only have to wash about twice a week and following it up with the conditioner has enabled me to not have to buy detangling sprays or creams because it makes my hair so soft.

And not “Pantene” soft where you can tell your hair has a film over it, just soft enough to not have to use your entire bottle of detangler and rip your hair out with each brush stroke but very genuinely clean.

I was weary when I saw their was tea tree oil in it because I cannot stand that smell, but this shampoo isn’t over powering enough to make me stop using it and if anything the lavender covers up the tea tree.

if you’re struggling with brittle, lifeless hair; I highly reccomend giving this a go because I couldn’t be happier. PRO TIP: if you don’t wash your hair every day, I say buy the smaller of the two sizes and save ya self some $.

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, have very thick hair, and have had the same little bottle for over almost 2 months now. this shampoo lathers amazingly and its very easy to say that the shampoo and conditioner both go a very long way with just a little.

So I’m using this along with the matching conditoner and I’m pretty happy with the set so far. Hair Type: Virgin Fine strands, but a lot Wavy blend of 2A-2C Bra strap length Low/Normal porosity? I have traits from both low/high, so I’m not sure anymore.

Hair Concerns: Dry/itchy/oily scalp w/dry ends – fun stuff lol Frizz – Oh, the frizz! Hates coconut oil and protein – my hair gets very brittle and destroyed Since I have lower porosity hair, it takes forreeevverrr to fully wet it.

I usually spend the first few minutes massaging my head/roots under the water to get it saturated. I have to shampoo twice in order to actually get a decent lather and feel like my scalp is getting clean.

Sometimes I just use the green NYMN shampoo that I have as the first shampoo, but really quick cause that one tends to dry out my scalp. So I pretty much just distrubute the shampoo through my roots enough to help wet my hair more and then use the PM shampoo and really massage my scalp and make sure everything is nice and clean.

I use about a nickle/quarter sized glob and that seems to be enough as long as I’ve already done the first quick shampoo. The smell is nice and pleasant and like the conditioner, I have no complaints.

It lathers up really nicely, but rinsing out it does feel a little squeaky clean, but I guess that’s kind of normal with shampoos (especially if it has sulfates). I only use this shampoo like once a month (in rotation with other products I use that are sulfate-free), so I don’t really notice anything negative.

My scalp doesn’t get itchy, but it doesn’t completly cure it. I still get kind of itchy a day after it’s been washed, but I’m not sure what the cause of that is from. Possibly just being dry? It doesn’t really help my frizz either but doesn’t make it terribly worse like some shampoos have done.

Overall, I really like using this duo when I want a good cleaning. It leaves my hair feeling soft, clean, and smells wonderful!.

I wanted to love this shampoo. It smells wonderful, lathers very well, and it’s very reasonably priced. I really liked it for about the first week of using it. and then it began to feel like my hair was heavy, like it wasn’t getting all the way clean.

Granted, my hair is naturally fine and flat, and volume is not something it has much of normally. So any additional weight makes it lose the little bit of natural volume I do have and I end up with flat hair that doesn’t feel clean.

That’s how I felt after about a week or so of using this shampoo consistently. I think it would be great for hair that doesn’t have the same consistency as mine. It IS a good shampoo! It just isn’t good for me.

I have quite a few honest company products around my house and they’ve never disappointed me. This conditioner is no exception! it is a bit more watery in consistency than most so it might not feel like it’s absorbing in your hair as much, but it works.

Every time I use it I am left with wonderfully soft and light hair. This conditioner is perfect for someone like me who has fine hair, that often gets weighed down by thick or “hydrating” products. I get the softness and hydration I need for my dry hair without the leftover grease and heaviness.

I also like that it’s gentle enough for my son, so he can use it too. That means only 1 bottle of conditioner for the entire family, which reduces waste, and it’s nice to just have less stuff in your bathroom.

I’ve been using this on my 2 year old who has curly, dry hair. Her hair used to feel wirey and was constantly tangled. This has made a huge difference though. Now she has soft bouncy curls. I also love that it’s fragrance free, since she has sensitive skin, and is tear free! The one downside is that it’s quite hard to rinse out which, on a squirmy 2 year old, can be a bit tricky.

Overall though, it’s worth the rinsing hassle and I’ll definitely continue using this.

I’ve been wanting to use all natural shampoo for a while and have attempted to make my own in the past. Recently I started thinking more about my shampoo because I was losing a ton of hair after I had covid and decided I could try to do better in that department and ditch my Tresemme that I’ve been using for years.

I have a contact allergy to a preservative so I also had to be cautious of that. I have been using the combo for about a month now. I love it. The shampoo lathers fantastically and you can feel the silkiness run through your hair when you use the conditioner in the shower.

You only need very small amounts of each so these should last a while. The smell is heavenly, just like all of the scents I have tried through Each & Every so far. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a more natural route!.

Just wanting to say that I love both the shampoo and conditioner. Works great with both my oily and flaky scalp. Plus the smell. lavender all the way. Can’t wait to try the coconut lime. I would of gave it 5 stars but I just think the price is a little high for the amount you get.

I have recently cut about 8 inches off my hair and I would of probably finished the product if I hadn’t. I was every 2-3 days using 4 pumps per wash and 2 pumps of conditioner. I’m already half way and it’s been about 3 weeks.

I would be okay with the price if I got at least half more of product. Definitely going to purchase as long as my budget allows. Makes my hair feel and smell amazing ❤.

I always use their deodorant and love it. I expected the smell of the duo shampoo conditioner to be like natural and nice as well, but it’s not! They smells very strong like cheap artificial lavender oil.

My hair feels okay after using them. Conditioner is not that nourish. Over all cheap quality stuff with high price. Not a fan of this at all. The package looks nice tho.

If you are like me and have seen this range when out shopping and was unsure whether to try them I would say, try them especially when they are offer. If I hadn’t watched an empties episode on Caroline Hiron’s YouTube channel, I wouldn’t have bought it when they were on offer in my local Boots.

The shampoo is more of a jelly consistency than a liquid which is a plus point as you are less likely to spill it when using it in the shower – I am that person who spills shampoo in the shower then slips on it.

My hubby now stays upstairs when I am in the shower in case I have an accident. Right back to the shampoo. You only need a small amount of the shampoo to get a decent lather for a first wash. Some shampoos I have used in the past require a lot of product to obtain the lather that this shampoo gave me.

The shampoo rinses out well and my hair is squeaky clean. I always shampoo my hair twice as it is thick and like double cleansing my skin at night I have the opinion that the first shampoo removes any pollution and product, the second wash makes sure that my hair is clean.

Each time I shampoo my hair I take time to massage the product into my scalp to make sure that my scalp is clean too. I have dark brown hair that is going salt and pepper, to enhance my grey hairs I picked this version of shampoo, when I have run out I will be purchasing a different one to try as I like the way my hair feels after I have washed my hair – it is soft and manageable, I don’t have frizzy hair it is smooth and nourished.

Some shampoos I have used in the past have left crunchy patches of hair especially at the back, this shampoo hasn’t. The shampoo has a faint fragrance another plus point for me as I don’t like heavily fragranced shampoos.

I bought this on sale at ShopRite about a month ago after eyeing it up for about another month. Normally, I use all natural hair products and this one appears to be safe in that sense. First off, the smell is amazing.

Not too strong but definitely noticable during and after washing. It smells like true lavender and delicately scents my hair. The shampoo is more of a jelly-like conditioner. Kinda like when you get a bottle of aloe after sun care stuff.

I wasn’t sure about it at first, but now I like it. It’s easier to judge how much you are using. It sudses up really really nice and my hair feels, literally, squeaky clean once I’m done. Very nice. I always follow it with the conditioner of the same line.

Companies create these duos to work with eachother and that squeaky clean is nice but without the conditioner, it would be dry. Well, the conditioner is amazing, as well. It’s creamy and slick and gets rid of my tangles.

I have very long “grombre” hair. The middle to ends are previously died an Auburn , which after letting the grey grow out for a year, has become brassy, gold, gross. This product line has toned down the brassiness, for sure.

I actually like my hair right now I didn’t notice any difference in the brassiness until I used the product a few times. probably about 5 times.

This shampoo does a great job of cleansing without stripping your hair and leaving it a dried out tangled mess. Leathers great and rinses out easily. Although it wasn’t drying on my normal scalp it could possibly be drying if your scalp is already dry.

It also did a nice job at toning down the brassy look. The only complaint I have is the fragrance. I can’t even describe the smell but I didn’t find it pleasant at all. Luckily it is a rinse out product so I can deal with it long enough to wash my hair.

I’m very particular about shampoos/conditioners. To start, I have type 2b virgin wavy hair. My hair is very thick and fine. I appreciate that this product is sulfate free and scented with essential oils.

The fragrance is lovely and long lasting. A lot of people are sensitive to essential oils though, so if you are one of them I’d stay away from this product. I like a shampoo with a good sudsy lather, and I just didn’t get it with this one.

I always double cleanse when I wash my hair, but it definitely felt like I needed to while using this shampoo. I do not like bottles with a pump. I always break them and/or they don’t reach the bottom of the product.

Of course I managed to break this one. However, the shampoo did make my hair feel very soft and hydrated. It wasn’t too heavy that my waves fell out either! Overall, it’s a good product for the price, but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for.

I typically buy xmondo shampoo and conditioner, but spending that kind of cash is getting a bit insane. I already use Dr. Teals body wash and love it, so when I saw the shampoo and conditioner I had to try it.

It arrived today so I hopped into the shower to give it a go. My hair feels so silky soft and feels so fresh! I love the tingling sensation, my scalp feels amazing. Definitely going to keep buying this product, I recommend 100%! Just wish they sold it in my stores near me.

I have been using Dr. Teal’s Rose and Milk Conditioner just under two weeks and I’m quite happy with it. I love the smell. It’s a soft and gentle fragrance that I would describe as pleasantly dainty with a hint of luxury.

I just feel very girlish using it. It does say it suits all hair types. Mine is oily, therefore I do have to wash and condition daily. I like to leave the conditioner setting on my hair a couple minutes and wow, it just really softens my hair! The pump works great but doesn’t dispense too much at once, which helps conserve product.

I do love the milkiness of the conditioner. It’s creamy and the milk sure does wonders for my hair! The bottle is beautiful. The blue bottle just looks of a high quality. The pink lettering with white label draws me right to it! I love girly things and this is in my wheelhouse.

It works best in conjunction with the shampoo. I have recommended this to my mom and she’s excited to try it!.

This conditioner is just okay. Sometimes I fall for OGX products because I love some of the scents, but the products don’t seem to do much for my hair. The matching shampoo is terrible; it’s a weird, jelly-like texture, makes my hair tangled and dry, so I pair this with a different shampoo.

The texture of this conditioner isn’t too thick, and I am able to spread it through my hair just fine. It detangles just okay, but when all is said and done, my hair ends up looking a little fly away.

My hair is henna’d/ brown, but I don’t think there is enough pigment in here to make a difference for blondes/ brassy tones. The best thing about this is the real lavender scent, but it doesn’t really stay in the hair.

Use this in addition to the Lavender Platinum shampoo. I was out of it for awhile until recently so I used another conditioner, but I kind of prefer this one when it comes to caring for my blonde hair.

It is not heavy and does not weigh down my damaged hair. My hair is easier to brush through when wet after using the shampoo and conditioner together, and my blonde looks exactly the same as when I walked out of the salon on Feb.

15. I don’t think you absolutely need to use this conditioner with the shampoo — I have used some different OGX conditioners as well as some other brand conditioners. Like the shampoo, if color preservation is your first concern and you’re on a bit of a budget, reach for this.

Ive been using this with the shampoo to match and it is a lifesaver. It makes my hair so soft but still manageable and i use it as a treatment for my hair extensions. Makes them feel so soft and shiny and puts the life back into them which is nearly impossible with platinum hair extensions.

I will never use anything else ever again i just wish there was a leave in conditioner to go with as a refresher for my extensions between washes. Rarely can u find anything suitable for extensions at ur local supermarket but after months of searching and trying different products this particular conditioner is perfect.

I love this product. My shepherd/cattle dog/GSD mutt’s med-length fur gets wiry and her skin dries out if not conditioned somewhat regularly. I only have to use this once a week max to keep her coat soft, hydrated, and dandruff free.

I spray it on a soft synthetic-bristled brush (just a cheap finishing brush pilfered from the horses. synthetic so the bristles don’t absorb all the product) and thoroughly work it in, as she doesn’t like to be sprayed with it directly.

With this method I have never noticed an obvious residue left behind on the surface of the fur. Her fur is noticeably softer almost immediately. The smell is nice, if a little strong going on but dissipates fast enough.

Do shake the bottle well before use.

I am very disappointed in this conditioner. Chewy has been out of stock of our usual shampoo and conditioner for a long time now so I had to try something different. The reviews were mixed and I don’t understand the good reviews at all.

We have a pitbull and even with her short hair it was hard to get the conditioner to spread around. It didn’t want to spread through her fur, it dried my hands out just using it and it was extremely watery.

She is nowhere near as soft as when we use the earthbath conditioner. I had to go to the pet store and pay twice what I pay chewy to get the usual conditioner and give her another bath. I do not recommend this ever, it is a waste of money and time.

We have a rescue pup that did not like being kenneled when we needed to leave the house. We tried everything! We bought this to help him calm down enough to nap. We used it combined with CBD and a lick mat and he’s never had another problem in the kennel! Sleeps like a baby up to four hours! He doesn’t like the “spray” sound, so we spray the crate cover before he goes in.

We also use it on our senior dog’s thunder shirt. Our senior dog gets a little anxious sometimes with storms, wind and outside noises. We spray his thunder coat with this calming spray for added calmness.

First time using Love Beauty & Planet shampoo and conditioner set. I purchased the set from local store. I have used well-known brands and never had real bad results until Love Beauty & Planet. I have long, thick, and wavy hair.

This brand left my hair dull, dry, flat, and frizzy at the ends. The worst part was the hair loss right after use and the next day while brushing. I lost about 2 months worth of hair in just THREE days of using Love Beauty & Planet.

Not even with $1. 00 brands have I had such terrible results! I did not use other hair products while using Love Beauty & Planet. I do not color or use hair-styling tools. I typically wait 2-3 months of using any hair product before making conclusions, but I could not risk losing more hair.

I stopped using Love Beauty & Planet after the third day. The hair loss stopped immediately, but it is still dry and flat. The lavender smell is the only positive thing about this brand.

I am in love with the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. These are the best products I have ever used. Love Beauty & Planet has done an amazing job in creating exquisite products. Starting off with the shampoo and conditioner– my hair is long and ends at my waist (I am 5’5″), it is coarse and thick and hard to shampoo.

I have tried all kinds of shampoos and conditioners before Love Beauty & Planet– and before them, my hair remained coarse and dry after every wash regardless how much conditioner was used. I naturally dry my hair, and rarely put any product in it.

Love Beauty & Planet’s Shampoo and Conditioner with Argan Oil and Lavender- smooth and serene- gave me a silky, shiny finish with my hair’s texture soft and smooth to the touch. This is the first time I can honestly say my hair feels like a whole new being! Not only does my hair feel soft, it smells great too! The smell– all three products that I tried were argan oil & lavender.

The shampoo and conditioner specifically focused on calming the frizzy, which is exactly what I needed and I am so glad to have tried it. They also had descriptions of smooth and serene– I would describe the argan oil & lavender scents to be calming, and relaxing with a very light nutty/olive-like aroma.

Very pleasant, and not overwhelming at all. The body wash focused on soothing relaxation & acts of love for our planet. It also had descriptors of relaxing rain– I would describe the smell of this product to be very sentimental– You can smell the rain and it brings you back to your childhood– riding my bike in the warm summer rain- the rain hitting my skin, and being so carefree.

The body wash– was silky and smooth at touch, and it felt as if my skin was moisturized in the shower. I am all about short-cuts. I don’t have a lot of time in my hands, so if a body wash can clean my body and also make my skin as soft as a baby’s bottom all in one go, I am a happy camper.

Last but not least– the lids are so much more convenient– tap a side and you’ve successfully opened the bottle. Overall, my experiences with these three products has made a very happy person. I would recommend these products to everyone!.

I really liked the simple, natural looking, and textured packaging of the Love Beauty and Planet Argan Oil & Lavender Shampoo. I liked the smaller, compact size of the bottles because they were easier to hold and do not look like other shampoo bottles.

I enjoyed the calming lavender scent, but it was a bit overwhelming in the shower. I was pleased with the addition of argan oil to help calm frizzy hair. I appreciate the mix of effectiveness and sustainability in this hair product line.

I liked reading the information on the back label about healthier ingredients and caring for the planet. Some standout information included the recycled bottle, fast rinsing shampoo, natural/ethically sourced ingredients, vegan formula, product not tested on animals, and a parabens and dye free formula.

I was happy to see that the ingredient list looks fairly short and includes several plant-based ingredients. The shampoo was very soft and easy to lather, and also did rinse quickly. One of my only complaints is that my hair was tangled after using this product, and my hair seemed frizzy with too much volume after drying.

I did enjoy the lingering lavender scent in my hair throughout the day, but my hair just wasn’t as calm and smooth as I would have expected.

I ordered this conditioner bar because my Vanilla Mint conditioner bar was almost gone, and I did not want to risk taking a shower without one of these conditioner bars. Seriously, trying to detangle my hair without the conditioner bars is like Mission Impossible.

I went with Grapefruit and Rosemary, because it was the only conditioner bar I hadn’t tried yet. I have super thick hair, but this conditioner bar got it detangled no problem. The smell is nice, too, not like POW!! Citrus right up your nose.

I’ve spent a while looking for a bar conditioner to go with a bar shampoo I received as a gift from my more eco-friendly roommate about a month ago, only to see that many of the have highly variable reviews.

In my search I found this shop on Amazon and came to this website to peruse the reviews before purchasing (from Amazon but with the thought of transferring here if I enjoyed the product). Given my previous research I was skeptical at all the 5 star reviews, but figured I might as well give this a shot.

IMAGINE my surprise when it lived up to essentially all of my expectations – arrived *days* ahead of schedule and, more importantly, is an excellent detangler (having struggled ever since switching to the aforementioned shampoo bar, it was a relief to be able to run my fingers through my hair again) and really seems to last (I’ve been using it every few days since receiving mine on 5/1 and can barely see a change in the beautiful pattern).

For reference, I have fairly thick, coarse mostly straight Asian hair. My roommate also tried and loved this bar, despite having a very different hair type (fine, blond, dry). Given this experience, I’m thinking of purchasing a shampoo bar from here when mine runs out, at which point she’ll probably jump in on the order as well.

Of course, I had to get another conditioner bar, because the other one I had ( I think it’s grapefruit and rosemary) is almost gone. There oughtta be a sticker or something on the boxes that says DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DETANGLE YOUR HAIR WITHOUT AVITAL’S CONDITIONER BARS.

I tried, and I’m better off using the conditioner bars. It makes detangling my hair A LOT easier.

The product smells amazing, but when I put it in my hair it did not feel like normal shampoo. That is a good thing because it is sulfate free (less lathering) as I worked it into my hair it began to lather up.

At this point, I was thinking. WOW this will be just like all the other “healthy” hair solutions that do not clean well and leave a crazy greasy film in my hair. I WAS SOOOO WRONG. I used the shampoo, the conditioner, and the leave in treatment and my very thin fine greasy hair was thicker and healthier looking than it ever has I was totally impressed.

The lavender smell was very calming. I loved it! If you haven’t tried this you need to!!.

This is truly the worst conditioner I have ever used in my hair! Both the shampoo and conditioner is awful! I have tried many different brands all of which I’d gladly use again EXCEPT FOR THIS BRAND.

Your hair gets dried right out using this brand. When I used the shampoo the stuff would not even lather in my hair. You had to work harder at getting it to sud up and than you can feel your hair dry out instantly and than you experience breakage and such.

Than the conditioner is no better sure it softens the hair a little but just enough to restore very little of what the shampoo alone does to damage your hair. Just a awful product. Also my hair is very healthy and has never done this till I used this brand.

It’s so bad that I didn’t even finish the bottles I used it twice and said that was enough for me. Not sure who paid these people to leave good reviews because this is how it effects healthy hair than I’d hate to see what it does to color treated hair.

My all time favorite shampoo/ conditioner brand! The smell is amazing and last for days. Perfect mixture of floral but balanced enough so it’s not overbearing with floral. Safe ingredients for your hair which is extremely a necessity when buying a product.

Clean shampoo that benefits your hair. My hair has grown more, is insanely soft compared to daily tangles which have become nonexistent. I usually follow this routine with Sol De Janeiro hair oil for the ultimate frizz tame making my hair easy to style.

Since using this, my hair has become noticeably shinier, softer, fragrant, voluminous and healthier!.

I switched to love, beauty, and planet about two years ago because it’s been the best sulfate free shampoo for me at such an affordable price. Unfortunately I think they’ve been adjusting their formula because this rose scent now gives my hair a squeaky feeling after rinsing.

At first only certain scents like the charcoal and tea tree did this. Then eventually the hemp scent and now the rose one as well. It’s so sad because this brand is my go to. The only scents I get now are the Kombucha and Vegan 5-in-1 and they don’t leave my hair feeling squeaky and dry.

I really hope that they don’t eventually do this to all scents as I most likely will have to find another brand, possibly go back to shea moisture which usually breaks the bank.

If you’re wanting an all natural shampoo that can deep-clean that head of hair you have then you’ve found the right product for the job, and I mean RIGHT PRODUCT! This stuff will absolutely flabergast you, for as soon as you apply it and rub it throughout your hair and scalp you will be amazed at how it “INSTANTLY” washes away any soil, residue, etc.

It truly is magic. Now, on the downside, I do not see it providing any real added volume, but then again I think they intend for you to use their conditioner along with it to somehow fulfill this feat.

So, YES, I recommend you buy the shampoo and conditioner together and give it a whirl. NOTE: It is very liquidy, so use only a very little amount to start with — you don’t need much at all. The first thing you’ll notice is how thin and non-goooey the product is, compared to normal chemical-based shampoos on the market.

I bought this as a convenient replacement when I ran out of my beloved Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo, but it really doesn’t stand up to that comparison. First and foremost, I don’t smell or feel the tea tree! The Paul Mitchell even feels cooling on the skin, a sensation that tracks with my experience using straight tea tree essential oil as an acne spot treatment.

It’s my favorite part of using tea tree products, I find it wonderfully refreshing. Unfortunately, this shampoo doesn’t have that, and the smell weirdly reminds me of a can of Diet Coke—sharply metallic and vaguely artificial.

I feel like I’m going crazy every time I use it, because I feel like it *shouldn’t* smell like that, but it really really does. However, it is an effective shampoo, lathers well and leaves my hair clean, so it still gets a couple stars.

I am very pleased with this shampoo. My hair is extremely fine and straight, I also have very sensitive skin, and I have had difficulty finding a shampoo that did not irritate my scalp or make my hair oily or flat.

I bought this shampoo because it was recommended for restoring hair loss and adding thickness/ volume. After washing my hair I use an apple cider vinegar rinse rather than a conditioner. So far my hair looks better and my scalp feels wonderful.

Now when I put my hair up in a bun it is much fuller and holds better with fewer bobby pins.

I personally love this product, but can see how it may not work well for all. It’s probably best for those fighting volumen and frizz. I have thick, naturally MESSY hair and I’m trying to tame the curl so I can wear it curly sometimes.

My stylist recommended this and it took a little getting used to, because you won’t get a lather. But it cleans my hair just the right amount (my curls do better when my hair isn’t TOO clean) and leaves a nice conditioner without any greasy or weighed down feeling.

Since I also still straighten, I only use this when I’m going to go curly. Smells amazing – nice invigorating scent in the morning. As soon as I put it in my hair IN the shower, my hair starts to curl right away.

I tried a bunch of cowashes and I hated them. I was very skeptical when my stylist recommended this, but I figured I’d give it a try. This product actually makes my hair feel clean, no shampoo needed.

My hair is fine, straight, oily, bleached, and then colored a deep teal color. I cowash my hair three times a week, it always looks good. I do condition afterwards every time. I also use a leave-in conditioner/heat protectant.

I haven’t shampooed my hair in, I don’t know, a couple of months? I haven’t noticed any buildup from the gel I use, and my color lasts much better than when I was shampooing with a salon quality color-specific product.

My new favorite cowash! I have wavy to curly hair; frizzes with humidity! My hair is also color treated, so I switched to a cowash to improve moisture and reduce breakage. I tried several brands before PM lavender mint co wash, all of which either didn’t rinse well or dried my hair more than regular shampoo and conditioner.

I found this product to moisturize well, rinse well, leaves no residue and has significantly reduced breaking during washing. About once a week to bi weekly I’ll wash with PM separate lavender mint shampoo and co-wash but I’m not sure that’s even necessary.

I highly recommend!.

The bulk of this review will be similar to my review for the Mango Shampoo (below), but I want to add this intro in order to disagree with the prior reviewer who said this was like most standard conditioners.

um, no! I am a conditioner snob. I only used posh salon conditioners for 20 years! I have spent tons of money on the perfect conditioner, and salon color and highlights, deep conditioning and oil treatments, and my hair was always high focus for me.

Despite making sure I had great hair, I always had products that were “good enough” and I never used to trust natural products to do the job my salon buddies did. So it says something that I took a risk and left the salon stuff, in favor of Desert Essence, AND that I am bothering to review it, because nothing in my life has ever been this good.

Even if you skip the shampoo, this conditioner is something REALLY special. My mother always said I had “Brooke Shields hair” when I was a kid. So I certainly wanted to protect that into adulthood, and until I made serious diet changes, I always did so very easily with salon products.

But once my body changed, salon stuff could no longer help! After many years of struggles and health changes, this conditioner saved my hair! I have straight fine hair that NEVER has volume. I used to get a little volume from my thickness.

that is, until I went off dairy and gluten as part of a healthier diet in my mid-30s. Losing that “overdose” of calcium (and I mean, I was ADDICTED to dairy, so I went from a huge dairy diet to none) just changed my body.

There were many positive changes, and this was a holistic health decision, and I stand by it, but I was so sad at what became of my hair. Five years after my diet changes, I got pregnant, and pregnancy vitamins helped my hair thicken again, but of course, when pregnancy and breastfeeding were over, I stopped the vitamins, and my hair got even thinner than it was before pregnancy.

🙁 I tried many suggestions about rose oil and the horse shampoo to help hair growth, etc. But none of it really helped, and the horse shampoo just made my hair hang and look sad. So when I tried Desert Essence’s Mango, I picked this scent because some reviews said it helped with volume, but I didn’t have much hope.

Oh my friggin’ goodness, this stuff was AWESOME!!! I began to see results after the first couple of washes, and when I use the Mango Shampoo too, it’s even better. I love how it smells. My husband is really attracted to the scent.

My toddler notices the smell too and likes the smell of mom’s hair. I normally dye and highlight my hair, and this has been really reparative and restorative to the harshness of those chemicals. I am just in love with this conditioner, and so grateful I can feel good about my hair again, for the first time in eight years! I am now pregnant again, and I trust Desert Essence products to be safe to use throughout my pregnancy and breastfeeding, and I am so happy I will have this product to continue to feel good about my hair as my body changes through all the symptoms of pregnancy.

If you get only one of their Mango products, get the conditioner. It is God’s nectar! I also tried their coconut conditioner, but personally could not stand the smell. frankly, I liked their coconut smell LESS than the anti-breakage smell, which everyone complains about.

But after these others, I can’t speak highly enough of the mango. GET IT! LOVE!.

Very good in combination with the shampoo. If your hair feels constantly dehydrated and coarse like mine you might want to check the hardness of the water in your area. Tap water where I live is very hard.

Vinegar products (that have actual vinegar at the top of the inci) remove hard water build-up from your hair (this is causing the dryness), making it feel supple and elasticized again, thus bringing out the natural texture (waves, curls).

It also closes the cuticle, locking the moisture inside. Composition wise it is balanced oil/strengthening. The oil is for the elasticity, the strenghtening ingredients so your hair will have bounce and does not look limp.

If you need more oils you can use the Desert Essence Coconut conditioner as an extra leave in on top of this rinse out. Personally for my thinner strands I use the Desert Essence Shine and Refine Hair Lotion as leave-in and it comes out perfect.

I do not even need to use gel. Perfume wise: this conditioner has no perfume (thankfully) there is a slight scent of the working ingredients, nothing overpowering and it does not linger.

My grandson got me this for Xmas had the shampoo the conditioner and dry shampoo in it. Omg don’t waste ur money! First I noticed itching after about 1 week. I mean itching! Then I got a mirror up close and I freaked out wasn’t dandruff but I guess it’s called dry scalp.

It was EVERYWHERE covered my scalp and itching. I’d sometimes have to get up on the middle of the night and just rinse it, I was thinking maybe somehow it wasn’t rinsing completely out. That around give me enuf relief to sleep.

I hadn’t made the connection yet. Then I went to comb my hair one day and not only did I get handfuls of hair, my scalp hurt in places the comb went over. And I mean hurt. so I began running my fingers thru my scalp to find a sore spot I did and there were scabs on my scalp!! About 5 diff places.

Apparently I was scratching in my sleep too. I guess. So I wanted to give me and my scalp a break and figured I’d just use the dry shampoo in case it was the new shampoo. Well the dry shampoo brought the same results.

And more itching and more scabs. But still thinking shampoo so I got diff shampoo for dry scalp got some coconut oil and another oil to see if it would stop the dry scalp in the meantime still using the dry shampoo.

So bank to the store looking for yet something anything. There was a woman there and we got to talking and she told me what worked for her then she asked me what I had been using I pointed out the suave that’s when she told me she had heard about suave knowingly leaving or putting stuff in their products that were causing hair loss and irritations to scalps and being sued over it for knowingly doing it.

So I went home and got online and she was correct. So stopped using ALL of what came in that set, meantime now I’d been using that for close to 3 months now. I STILL have scabs on my scalp and hair coming out in handfuls.

I can’t believe Antoin anyone would knowingly hurt other people with no regard for people period. Cannot fathom knowing that people have that mentality or lack of. Floors me seeing the changes in people.

We have enuf to worry about then wondering if ur own country is causing harm to its people. Smh.

I am impressed by Suave! They really have stepped up their game. Suave is usually known for their very affordable shampoos and conditioners but the quality of their products was mediocre, it gets the job done if you are on a budget.

That was in the past! I found my favorite conditioner that works so incredibly good with my wavy, thick, frizzy hair. Living in Florida, well, my hair will be beyond frizzy and feel dry. This conditioner gave me shine, soft and smooth hair! None to minimal frizz! It conditions and has coconut oil that is the right consistency in the formula where it did not leave my hair feeling greasy or heavy.

The scent is a bit strong but I can by pass that because of the results! So good! Especially using this after their Suave coconut oil infused shampoo. I highly recommend! #Suaveproffesional. Good job!.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how great my hair felt using this shampoo. I picked up a 3 oz size to travel. I usually pay a lot more for my shampoo and probably would not have tried this shampoo except that there were not many travel size shampoos to pick from.

I figured, oh well, I will be ok with this for 3 days. Well I loved it. Ordered this larger size as soon as I got home. I got my sister, Mom, daughter and grandchildren to try it and everyone loves it.

This is the best shampoo for color treated and oily hair/ oily scalp. I have probably the oiliest hair known to womankind due to family genetics and have always had oily hair/scalp and I wash my hair every day.

I have tried many shampoos over the years. I have dark blonde hair naturally and recently added light blonde highlights and needed a shampoo that would protect my color yet still work on my oily hair/scalp.

Prior to color treating my hair I always used a clarifying type shampoo daily because of how oily my hair is and also I use styling product in my hair every day and need to remove product buildup daily and start over for styling the next day.

Yes I wash and style my hair every day. This shampoo does the trick and has a wonderful smell and I personally love the way it makes my scalp tingle. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have no issues using it.

I skip the conditioner completely, but that’s just me and I’ve always skipped conditioner with any brand because of how oily my hair is and conditioner only weighs it down. This shampoo leaves my hair soft and shiny and full of volume ready to style.

Love, love, love and I will never be without it. Will be watching for it to go on sale to stock up. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has color treated hair and their hair or scalp is on the oiler side.

I overall would recommend this shampoo UNLESS you have a history of sensitive skin. Maybe get a sample or travel size before committing to a larger container. Originally, I bought the shampoo/conditioner at my local salon but bought it a second time from Ulta because it was a few dollars cheaper.

I really liked it. It smells great and the tingling sensation is nice especially in the summer when it’s hot outside. Sadly, it seems that I can’t use it anymore. For a while, I was using a different shampoo just to get through my travel size trial shampoos and didn’t really realize my scalp wasn’t itchy.

When I got through them, I switched back to my full size bottle of this and I realized that it was what had been causing my long-standing scalp irritation! I originally started using this shampoo in the last few months of 2020.

Within a day after using it again, my scalp was super itchy (it felt like I had fleas or something!!!!) and covered in painful little pimples! I used it a second time to be sure and yup, that’s what caused them.

I’m a few days out from the second use now and, while my scalp is still a bit itchy, there aren’t painful little pimples anymore.

I found this shampoo online after experiencing some awful reactions to hair products I had been using for years. I had scalp burns and lots of itching so bad I had to throw away the entire range. Then I read reviews for the lavender shampoo and tried it.

Even after first use I noticed a significant improvement to my scalp and hair and was blown away by how easy it is to use compared to other products no more spending ages rinsing products out over and over again.

I am pleased to say no more scalp issues at all and lovely lavender another of my favourite essential oils. The Dr Organic ranges are superb.

Like the matching shampoo, it is a very natural smell, not a synthetic one. Not as thick as I’d thought it would be, but still conditions very well. Not sure this would be suited that well to very dry hair types.

My hair is straight and in good condition for reference.

I hunted for a conditioner without Limonene, Methylithothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone and parabens. This was one of 2 Dr Organics products that did not have those listed. It also doesn’t have water listed as its largest ingredient which is a good indicator of likely effectiveness.

It has turned out to be a great conditioner for my fine longish hair.

I love how the amla shampoo cleanses my hair and the way olive conditioner makes my hair bouncy and shiny. It’s great for oily scalp. It nourishes the hair from roots and leaves them healthier. Would definitely love to buy the combo again.

Smells ok in the bottle ones you actually wash hair the finishing smell is very good. Smooth for damaged hair, gives volume. I really recommend it if you want a long hair, is made where people has a beautiful long dark hair.

This is the best shampoo out of those I have tried. It cleans my hair well without drying it out and it adds volume to my thin, fine hair. I did not give it a five star rating because I don’t like the container.

It is too difficult to squeeze it out without a struggle.

After purchasing the baby wash I had to try the shampoo conditioner for myself. Other than the fact that this shampoo doesn’t suds up as well as I would like it too it leaves my hair feeling and smelling clean and shiny will definitely purchase again.

Cleans very well! Doesn’t leave any build up like other natural shampoos I’ve tried. Have also noticed some increase in volume.
