There are a number of laundry detergents for sensitive skin that smell good. Some of our favorites include Seventh Generation Free & Clear Liquid Laundry Detergent and Puracy Natural Liquid Laundry Detergent.
Both of these detergents are free of harsh chemicals and fragrances, and they have a light, pleasant scent.

Okay, when I first received my detergent in the Wildflower scent, I thought it smelled too strong to be natural, and was worried there was synthetic fragrance because the box also said “parfum/fragrance” which in my experience has always meant synthetic.
So I wrote a negative review because I felt a bit betrayed. But the company reached out and assured me that all of their products contain fragrance from natural origins, and that the fragrance they use is non toxic and free of carcinogens.
So now that I know that, and I have used almost the entire 160 load box of detergent, I can say that this is the best detergent I’ve ever used. It even gets our cloth diapers to smell completely 100% fresh, like new, which we have NEVER been able to do with any other detergent before! Yes, you do often need to use more than the suggested amount for very dirty things like diapers, but that’s the same as any detergent.
I will be buying more. Right now, actually. Because we are getting low and I don’t want to have to use anything else!.

Seventh Generation Powered by Plants Laundry Detergent – Fresh Lavender Scent As a member of Seventh Generation’s Generation Good Advocates Community, I received free samples of Seventh Generation Powered by Plants Laundry Detergent in Fresh Lavender Scent in exchange for my honest review.
I really liked this product. The laundry detergent effectively cleaned my laundry, left my laundry smelling clean and fresh, and is safe and gentle for the most sensitive skin. The laundry detergent has a pleasant, light, fresh lavender scent.
I love that the laundry detergent is made with bio-based ingredients and does not contain dyes, synthetic fragrances, artificial brighteners, phosphates, or animal by-products. The 100% biodegradable laundry detergent that is made with renewable, plant-based cleaning ingredients provided big cleaning power and tackled the toughest, dirtiest, smelliest laundry.
I highly recommend Seventh Generation Powered by Plants Laundry Detergent in Fresh Lavender Scent. I received this product for an honest review. Opinions are my own. #GenerationGood #7thGenPartner #freesample.
In our home we are actively working to implement more environmentally safe, biodegradable, plant based products. I have followed a vegan based diet for my entire life and do not “wear” animals with regard to clothing as well as makeup/skincare.
However it is a challenge to find cruelty free, vegan (mostly) and effective products for cleaning anything: from dishes and floors to clothes and linens. When I read about Seventh Generation’s 100% biodegradable, lavender scented detergent I hoped the 97% plant based product would clean our clothes as effectively as the chemicals we’ve been using.
First things first; it has a lovely lavender oil fragrance and I checked reliable third party testing sources and read that the plant based enzymes and 100% biodegradable claims are true and the only complaint from an environmental standpoint was a lack of less wasteful packaging.
This is not an issue for me to debate as our recycling is still full on a weekly basis- but we are trying. In order to give the best, most honest review I needed to use the detergent under different conditions.
First, I used it on a regular size load of only my light coloured clothing and I didn’t add any other producs (e. g. no fabric softener, no oxiclean etc. ) The result was clean laundry without much of a fragrance but I didn’t have anything really dirty or smelly in the bin.
Next, I used it on my boyfriend’s work clothes, a daunting task for even some chemicals. It didn’t do much for his clothes, even with the addition of fabric softener and in-wash scent boosters. I received these three sample packets for free in exchange for my honest review and I was out of product to try anything else.
Compared to the few other “green” detergents I have used this worked better in terms of general cleaning and leaving some fragrance. The downside is that it wasn’t very effective on stains whether they had “set in” or were fresh and lastly the lavender scent didn’t last very long after the initial wash.
That can be enhanced with essential oil mists for the dryer though.
I have had Psoriasis in my neck area where the clothes have the closest skin contact and rubs against the skin on the neck. Harsh laundry Detergents makes it worse. After using Seventh Generation laundry detergent I found out that it has no artificial dyes, scents and no artificial brighteners it is powered by plants, it really made me happy.
It keeps my clothes soft and cleans also very well. I work at a school so kids touch me all the time with something in their hands and when I come home and wash my clothes all that grime goes away. My psoriasis on the neck doesn’t feel irritated so much and it gives me relief from feeling super itchy.
Thanks Seventh generation for this awesome detergent and it comes in my favorite scent , Fresh Lavender. I like that a lot. I received a free product for the purpose of my honest review. These are my own opinions after trying the product that I received as free samples.
Thanks for my free samples and $2 coupon to buy some from the store.
Unscented, fragrance free, and 100% free of perfumes and dyes with concentrated cleaning power in a convenient pac. Removes 99% of top every day and seasonal allergens. Dog and cat dander, dust mite matter, ragweed pollen, grass/tree pollen.
all is not intended to treat or prevent allergies. These hypoallergenic all free and clear mighty pacs are safe to use in any washing machine including high efficiency (HE) and at any water temperature.
This pack contains two tubs of 66 all free clear mighty pacs, with one regular load per pac.
TLDR: For 6 to 7 years I’ve had great results using these pacs to wash my laundry with water that’s tap cold wash & cold rinse. My laundry isn’t particularly dirty or smelly, so using 2 pacs for each extra large load works great.
My review for the pacs include some laundry tips others might find useful. Never assume that someone else knows what you do & take time to help others, because you’ll be the one that needs help someday.
The instructions say to use 3 pacs per extra large load. But I’ve always used 2 pacs per load for my clothes & 2 pacs for a load that includes a bed sheet, pillow case, twin size knitted yarn afghan, wash cloths & two large bath towels.
I use 2 pacs per extra large load because none of my laundry is particularly dirty or smelly. This makes the pacs last longer so I only need to buy a 60 pac container twice a year. Instead of 4 containers a year if I followed the 3 pac instruction.
I’ve always washed my laundry with tap cold water & cold rinse because it’s cheaper not using warm or hot water. Plus cold water doesn’t prematurely fade clothes causing them look to old, like warm or hot water does.
Which means less money spent on clothing because it doesn’t fade or where out as quickly. I live in western Washington of the pacific northwest where soft water is common in the region. Soaps & detergents perform better with soft water.
If you don’t know what that means search, what is water hardness, (also search) water hardness & soap, to learn about how water hardness affects soap & water. To see water hardness for your area, do a web or image search for water hardness map.
After looking at several water hardness maps search, laundry detergent for (water type), to see soaps & detergents recommended by others for your water type. So the pacs have time to dissolve, I put one pac at the back of the wash tub at about the 12 o’clock position & the other pac at about 6 o’clock.
I drop laundry into the tub so the tub is full to the rim or just below, but not over flowing & not tightly packed. My blanket, bed sheet & bath towels are loosely wrapped around the center agitator & piled up so they wash evenly & don’t unbalance the washer like if they were each balled up in one part of the washer.
The laundry is evenly distributed so it’s washes evenly, the spin cycle is balanced & the tub doesn’t bang around. Close the lid, do the wash settings & push Start. The full cycle takes just under one hour.
While the water is filling the tub for 7 to 8 minutes the pacs in the bottom have plenty of time to dissolve. When the wash cycle starts the detergent is ready to mix with the clothes. If the pacs are on top of laundry or mixed in they’ll probably stay a bit dry until the wash cycle churns them into the water, they won’t dissolve until several minutes into the wash cycle & the detergent will have less time to clean the laundry before it’s rinsed out.
Considering I’ve been using these pacs for 6 to 7 years & have never had a problem, like the picture with the gooey mess that’s said to have ruined clothing, it makes me wonder if the person put the pac on top of or mixed it in with dry laundry & the pac didn’t dissolve properly.
Or maybe it was a combination of a short wash cycle & the pac being mixed in with dry laundry. I’m not sensitive or allergic to perfume scents or dyes. But I really like that this detergent is unscented & doesn’t waste money on unnecessary dyes or perfumes.
I hate the new container design that’s slick with rounded edges that make it much more difficult to grab & hold than the design of the old container that’s blocky with squarish corners & I can easily pick up one handed from the side.
When they changed the container design, I still had the old blocky container. So, I dump in 60 pacs from the new container design & put the container in the garbage. It’d be less wasteful, & save customers a little money if the 60 pacs were sold in bags, like the 30 pacs.
Those that want to could save a little money & produce less waste buying a 60 pac bag & refilling the same hard container, or not use a hard container at all. I wear durable cotton clothing that’re a variety of dark earth tones & shades like blue, gray, green, khaki, brown & a little black.
That includes long sleeve & muscle shirts, cargo pants/shorts, briefs & black ankle socks. When my darks were washed & dried with my white briefs & socks the white clothing left a little white lint & small pill balls on my dark clothes, that were difficult to impossible to remove.
So I switched to dark colored briefs & black ankle socks, no more problem of either white or dark lint. Even though my cotton clothing is durable I don’t want it to shrink unnecessarily or fade prematurely so I dry all my laundry on delicate/low with one unscented store brand “free & clear” dryer sheet.
After 30 minutes of drying I clean out the lint trap so moisture can escape easier & continue drying another 30 minutes. One dryer sheet used with my towels, wash cloths & bedding is a good compromise to stop 99% of the static cling without affecting how absorbent the towels & wash cloths are.
For convenience I don’t follow the instructions of removing only the pacs I need from the container. So I only have to open the container 1 time, I remove 4 pacs, place 2 on the laundry room shelf in my home & 2 in the washer.
I do the same with the dryer sheets, one on the shelf under the 2 pacs & one in the dryer. For this review, & my own curiosity, I tested how quickly a pac dissolves in tap cold water. I placed the pac at the back of the wash tub, set the washer to Large load, started the washer & a stop watch timer on my phone at the same time.
After a couple minutes the pac began floating because it has a little air inside. Obviously, this wouldn’t happen if the pac were on the bottom of the tub & the tub was filled with laundry. The pac floated to the front of the tub to the 6 o’clock position & stayed against the wall of the tub.
As the minutes passed, the top of the pac above the water line, with the air bubble, was getting smaller as the pac slowly sank. At about 5 minutes the pac dissolved enough below the water line that a small hole opened & the detergent started leaking out.
Over the next few seconds the hole grew until all the air escaped & the pac quickly sank to the bottom. The next few seconds as the pac continued to dissolve one whole side opened & detergent slowly spilled out onto the tub.
I put my 2 Large hoodies in the water so they could be washed. Opened the lid a little less then a minute later & found a reasonable & fair amount of soap bubbles on the surface of the water showing that the soap was mixing well with the tap cold water & hoodies.
To keep hoodie drawstrings from being pulled out during the wash, tie long hoodie drawstrings together by pulling the drawstring openings together with the drawstring & tie one overhand knot. Then tie another overhand knot with one string end passing back through the knot & pulled tight creating a loop.
Or start with an overhand knot & tie a tight bow. Hood should be loose & floppy, similar to when the hoodie is worn. If the hood is cinched down tight the string will be too long, might get tangled on something & defeats the purpose of tying the strings in the first place.
Also the hood being pulled tight won’t wash as well & the cinched material takes a lot longer to dry. After drying pull the end of the looped string to easily untie the knot. Tying 2 complete overhand knots will probably be impossible to untie after washing & drying.
Long dangling hoodie drawstrings annoy me. Instead of tying them or cutting them I pull the front of the hoodie away from my neck & drop the drawstrings down the inside. All the enjoyment & warmth of a hoodie without annoying drawstrings, until they’re needed to cinch the hood down.
If your drawstrings are uneven, put the hoodie on & push up on the top edge of the hood where the drawstring is with the top of your fist or by creating an upward facing hook with your thumb. Push up on the hood & drawstring & slowly pull down on the short end of the drawstring until it looks like the ends are even.
Takes a little practice pulling the ends back & forth to get the length correct. Can do the same with the hoodie facing you & using your thumb as an upward facing hook. I have a hoodie with really short drawstrings, as they should be, & it’s a wide flat string.
I don’t tie the strings before washing or drying & have never had a problem with the string pulling out.
I’m a bit obsessed with finding the best smelling laundry combos, so I’ve tried a lot of different products. These are by far my favorite pods. They perform just as well as the more expensive brands for less.
I always grab the 60-count tub for $10. 97 at Walmart. It’s a steal in my book. And, as a result, I don’t feel bad when I need to use more than one pod for larger loads. I’ve never had any problems with them failing to dissolve or staining my laundry.
I just drop them in as my machine fills up with water to make sure they’ve dissolved before putting clothes in. I do the same with scent boosters. Straight from the tub, they have a strong fragrance that leans a touch masculine.
This may be off-putting to some, but I assure you that all that’s left is a fresh, clean linen type of scent by the time everything is dried. If you’re also looking for great combos, some scents that I think pair nicely with these are: Snuggle Blue Iris Ocean Breeze (my current favorite) Snuggle Blue Sparkle Downy Cool Cotton Downy April Fresh Downy Light Ocean Mist scent booster Bounce Outdoor Fresh dryer sheets Hopefully this was helpful for someone!.
Highly recommend! I have always used Dreft laundry detergent for my children but did not like how I had to always do seperate loads just for their clothing. With all free clear I was extremely surprised how well it worked! All the ketchup stains came out, which are normally the hardest, even on whites! It is scent free yet clothing smells fresh and clean and soft.
I love that I do not have to seperate my baby’s clothing out separately anymore! Saving time and money without sacrificing quality! All Liquid Laundry Detergent, Free Clear for Sensitive Skin, 58 Loads, 88 Fluid Ounce [Free Clear for Sensitive Skin] thats my kind of product!.
Delightfully supple. heavenly scent. simply divine. Mild formula with naturally-derived softening oils, infuses cuddly goodness into every load. Developed to decrease drying time, reduce wrinkles and eliminate static cling.
Created without dyes, formaldehyde, phosphates, phthalates or 1. 4-dioxane. Signature Crème Douce Scent. Eco-friendly and biodegradable; nothing but goodness! Highly Concentrated (32 washes). Made in USA.
Found it when researching baby safe detergents. Ordered a small one at buy buy baby originally and then ended up buying the larger size here. The smell is so faint and nor overwhelming so this was perfect when I wanted some sort of smell but nothing overpowering.
I have a very sensitive nose and very picky about fragrances and I find this one so pleasant because its there but but there at the same time if that makes sense. I’d like to mention too that customer service is fantastic.
I had an issue with an order I placed and it was resolved so quickly and so professionally which is amazing in these times.
My husband and I have extremely sensitive skin, to the point that we can’t even use popular name brands that claim to be hypoallergenic and dermatologist approved, etc. Everything makes us super itchy, until I came across this wonderful detergent.
It has a very faint scent that is calming (light floral), which I greatly appreciate because we have 3 cats and they can make things stinky. They even love this detergent. Every time I wash all the blankets, they burrow in them and sleep for hours.
It’s truly a skin safe detergent that doesn’t make us itchy and gets everything clean.

It smells amazing! Maybe a bit strongly scented though if you are sensitive to smells. Seemed to clean fine so it definitely does its job. However I am either allergic or sensitive to it. I do have sensitive skin and sinuses so I did one load to test out.
It’s not terrible but if I contuned wearing the clothes washed in the detergent it would have likely got worse. My throat is scratchy, headache, eyes itchy, nose kinda stuffy and skin irritated. I’m super disappointed because I was excited for this product and have loved other Mrs.
Meyer’s products. Again this is just me and I am super sensitive to detergents and anything that has fragrance or goes on skin so most people I’d imagine would be fine.
I’ve been loving the rosemary and the lavender ones! This lavender is more of a sweet lavender scent. (Wasn’t expecting that, but it’s still really nice on the clothing!) Love the earthiness to the rosemary scent, almost wish it was a bit stronger, but love it as it is too.
The concentrate lasts FOREVER! One jug has lasted us months and months. I appreciate the design of the jugs too- not too big and heavy, the handle is good to hold and pour, and the lid hasn’t gotten too messy.
I always wash my clothes with a bit of vinegar as the softener and oder killer, and both of these scents have been really great with it! No complaints here! I’ve mixed them together and it’s so good together!.
Tried a new one cuz target stopped caring the NBD one I loved. Please do your own research as well but in my opinion do not buy this. This detergent contains 2 preservatives that are can be extremely toxic and a major skin irritant.
I washed a few loads of laundry and my sheets and felt like my skin was on fire. Returned and rewashed all of it with a different detergent. The worst part is my clothing that has any kind of stretchy fabric is completely ruined.
I don’t know if it’s the essential oils that make it impossible to wash out completely but I’ve had to get rid of quite a few yoga pants and about a dozen undies.
Dermatologist-tested laundry detergent pods suitable for sensitive skin, pets, and cleaning delicates with non-toxic ingredients. Gentle yet strong: a sensitive, eco detergent that actually works This gentle formula is a great solution for sensitive skin, natural fibers, and delicate clothes.
It’s dermatologist tested and clinically proven to be gentle on skin. Good to know. For intimates or other items that could snag, consider pairing it with our Mesh Washing Bag. Works with all machines.
Sadly, I was not impressed by this product. One pod definitely did not perform like the website said it would. I love the concept, but I had to use up to 3 pods to get my clothes clean and the smell out.
I have 2 boys and a husband so I need something a bit more than these can offer. They would be great for a single household.
Quite satisfied with the laundry detergent. Nice to have a product that isn’t in plastic. Have only used it for two loads so can’t give a great review, but so far so good. We were a little skeptical at first due to the small amount of material in the pods, but our laundry was clean.
I have extremely sensitive skin and have only ever been able to use baby detergent. I decided to give dropps sensitive skin a shot and have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it is AMAZING! No reactions whatsoever and the smell is wonderful! 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve known about woolite for years and I don’t know how I’ve never bought this! I had a cashmere sweater that I was too scared to take to the dry cleaners. I always heard Woolite was great for wool so I thought I’d give it a try.
OMG. It made my sweater even soft than it was before with no change to the casheme. Just handwashed it in really cold water. So glad I bought this. My new go-to detergent for my winter sweaters.
I’m not very educated on detergents. I usually just use whatever but I recently bought an expensive silk pillow that needs to be washed frequently. The first hand wash, I used regular detergent and it felt stiff after drying.
I used this for my next hand wash and it dried super soft and smooth like when I bought it new! I recommend this for silk.

I love my new Mulberry Park silk pillow cases. They are so luxuriously soft and just what I was looking for my new pillows. The manufacturer of my pillows also sold silk pillowcases of same grade silk but for far more money.
These are quality made and the envelope closure was just what I was looking for to keep my pillow from slipping out of the pillow case. My curly hair is smoother now after a night’s sleep and it is so nice sleeping on the Mulberry Park pillowcase.
The specially made laundry detergent I purchased with them is wonderful too. It is made for all kinds of fine delicates. I use it for my other delicates such as lingerie, too. After washing, I hang the pillow case up and it dries quickly.
I bought this to wash our mulberry silk sheets in. The detergent is perfect. No complaints with the soap. However, it should be noted, there is no noticeable scent of lavender after washing and drying.
To the container, the design of the container needs to be improved. The container needs to be designed the way other detergent brand containers are designed regarding the drainage of residual detergent left in the cap after use.
Other detergents’ containers are designed to allow the excess soap to drain back inside the container. As it is now, this container is messy to use and wasteful. When you’re spending this kind of money to treat your silk with care, one would expect the container’s design to be designed to conserve the product.
Used this a couple times now, both hand washing and in the washing machine (front load with silk in a laundry bag). This is my first time owning nice silk bedding, and I definitely didn’t want to risk messing them up.
This soap seems to work very well, the sheets actually do get softer after a few washes and feel amazing now! Hand wash the first few times, then you can use a washer as long as it’s on the most gentle cycle.

Expensive, but the scent is just beautiful and subtle. The only one I can get away with that the husband does not complain about! To be honest, I have never been that big on scented laundry before myself, but again, this is lovely.

I absolutely loved each of the three products that I was sent. The all purpose cleaning spray worked fantastic in the kitchen but the real test for me was in the bathroom, where my sink, toilet & shower thank you! It looked and smelled fresh without the harshness of chemicals that normally bother my daughters, yet there was no sneezing, coughing, noses running or eyes tearing from it.
My favorite was the laundry detergent as it has been a serious struggle to truly find a product that my daughter who is 21 can use. All the companies who supposedly don’t use anything harsh, couldn’t explain why my daughter was so itchy.
After using your detergent though, my daughter wasn’t itchy for the first time in her life! I couldn’t hold back my tears of happiness that for the first time she wasn’t scratching, itching and getting frustrated but instead looked over at me & said is this for real? Is this really happening? You found a company that doesn’t make me itchy?? She had tears in her eyes, I started crying telling her how I had promised I wouldn’t give up until I found a detergent that didn’t cause her to pretty much claw at her skin.
So from the bottom of our hearts, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! There will never be words to equal what my daughter and I experienced when we used your products. The dish soap was also such an improvement over the colored stuff!.
I like this detergent. My opinion’s still out a little bit on it. I need scent-free in my household, and my husband’s skin is very sensitive to any changes in soap or detergent. This detergent seems to have good cleaning power, removes scents from clothes instead of masking them with smelly perfume, seems to do a good job even on dog beds and furniture covers.
My husband has complained some about being itchy — and we’re not sure if it’s because of the change. Wish the detergent came in a larger bottle so I wouldn’t be putting so much plastic back into the universe.
I got this on a whim when I was looking for a strong yet gentle dish cleaner. I prefer hand washing and this does the trick. It’s thick and cleans well. My only hope is that it comes in a larger size! Otherwise it’s an excellent soap for doing the dishes.
I love it. No icky smell, it’s odor free and cuts grease! I also got the all purpose cleaner as well. You won’t be disappointed!.
Ivory Free and Clear laundry detergent is designed for your family’s sensitive skin. Serving families for 140 years by crafting products with purposeful ingredients to care for even the most delicate skin, Ivory originated as a simple solution for washing clothes and bodies.
Made without dyes, fragrances, phosphates, brighteners, enzymes, and chlorine Ivory Free and Clear detergent is gentle on the skin.
So while we don’t have any skin sensitivities requiring a free and clear detergent, I do like to use free and clear on delicates and my sons clothes to avoid any potential agitants on sensitive skin.
I use other Ivory products so wanted to give this a shot. I washed a load of delicates with some of my sons well worn clothes mixed in. Pulling these out of the dryer I was actually pleased with the fact they came clean.
A good feel to the clothes, no residue or film left behind. I’m definitely a fan of Ivory products and the detergent soap is no exception! Would definitely buy again! I’ve never had any issues with the Tide Simply oxi that I have used in the past so was interested to try this new scent, Berry Blossom.
Right off the bat the price for the amount you get is a no brainer! It’s not watered down or cheap liking like you might expect from a lower priced detergent. The scent was pleasant, a little sweet smelling for my taste but overall nice.
I tried it out on a load of towels only to really test the cleaning power and the lasting scent. After pulling the clothes out of the dryer, can definitely see the cleaning power. No issues, no residue however very faint scent so I would recommend coupling with fabric softener or scent beads if you’re really looking to keep that Berry scent through the wash! This review was collected as part of a promotion, but the thoughts and the opinions are my own.
Ivory makes more than bar soap!? I like that it’s dye-free (clear) I found years ago the blue dye in most detergents leaves some sort of residue on the clothes which I’m pretty sure is what causes me to itch.
I’m not sure what a lot of these ingredients are but they’re split into categories to inform you what each of them are purposed for which is nice knowing there aren’t excess ingredients in the bottle simply as fillers.
The bottle is partially made from recycled plastic which makes me feel like all of that cleaning, de-labeling and getting the recyclables into their bin isn’t for nothing. My laundry came out without some crazy scent, just a great clean smell! The bottle also has a stamp from the National eczema association which brought a thought I should’ve been thinking about for a while now.
My eldest son has been breaking out in small dry patches lately and as I had severe eczema as a kid I think I need to change some things in the house to help him as he may have inherited this problem from me.
I’d like to use this detergent for a month and see if my sons dry patches clear up, the stamp of approval gives me hope! One last thing, I noticed on the bottom of the back of the bottle some hand washing instructions.
HANDWASHING INSTRUCTIONS on a laundry detergent bottle!!!! It’s that safe that it can be used as a hand wash!!!! Why didn’t I know this a month ago when hand soap was no where to be found on the shelves!? This review was collected as part of a promotion, but the thoughts and the opinions are my own.
My son is allergic to most detergents. I’ve always purchased another brand for him and one brand for the rest of the family. However I know that they still get mixed a bit in the machine. So i tried this to see how it works.
He has NO reaction!! The scent is light and refreshing. It works to get tough stains out of my husbands clothes as well. We’ve switched over and won’t go back!.
This lovely fragrance free laundry liquid from Earth Friendly is perfect for sensitive skin. Made from plant based extracts and contains a cellulose based optical brightener soy based fabric softener and essential oils.

I got diagnosed with eczema a month ago and have been trying to find products that work well with sensitive skin. I have found that this detergent works so well for my sensitive skin and does not lead to flareups.
I have also used other detergents in the past that were scent free and this detergent can compare to those because the scent is so light, yet very fresh. If you are looking for a detergent that works well with sensitive skin but has a good light scent, this is perfect.
I will say though, that this detergent is not that good at getting out stains. I pretty much don’t see any improvement in the stains at all. This kind might work well if you have lightly soiled or not at all soiled, everyday clothes, but not if you have tough stains.
I love this brand and what they stand for I just wish it worked just a little bit better on the stains.
I had to come back here and check to see that it was essential oils. I got it because of that – figured maybe natural fragrance was okay. I love magnolia flowers. The scent of this is so powerful that I didn’t believe it was essential oils.
This is awful. The scent is so overpowering that it feels as if I am using something dangerous. The scent is NOT desirable. It does NOT smell like magnolia flowers. I don’t know what the ratio is, but this is pungent.
I gave it 2 stars instead of one for the effort of not using chemical fragrances. This is the first and probably the last review i ever write, but wanted people to know and have the choice. I know Swanson would have accepted the return and paid for the return shipping, but I didn’t want them to pay for such a heavy return item and assumed the error.
Will give it away becauae I don’t even want to use it for the cleaning rags and rugs.
I’ve used this for a while now… and I am finally writing a review. I briefly read some other review screaming about some ingredient in it they don’t like but you know what I love the hell out of this stuff.
Still better than those very strong overbearing highly scented other well-known brands out there. Like I want to wash my clothes not have a perfume on top of it, like Gain detergent where I can smell that on people immediately.
Yuck, off putting. But with this one that’s not the case, subtle and keeps clothes soft.
Say hello to our latest breakthrough in laundry. ECOSNEXT is the trifecta of sustainable, convenient and wonderfully effective. Liquidless and plastic-free, you just need one lightweight, plant-powered square to fight tough stains while protecting sensitive skin.

For hand washing, add directly to water to activate the cleansing power. Ecosnext Liquidless detergent will dissolve entirely in all water temperatures. To take your laundry on the go, make sure to pack Ecosnext Liquidless laundry detergent in a dry, cool place To take your laundry on the go, make sure to pack Ecosnext Liquidless laundry detergent in a dry, cool place.
I have been interested in trying the new waterless laundry detergent trend so I recently got these ECOSNext™ Liquidless Laundry Detergent Sheets, in the Free & Clear variety. These sheets boast a liquid free wash without the use and mess of laundry powders, or pods.
I love the idea of using less waste for our environment and having less bulky laundry detergent, so I got these to give them a try. My first reaction when I saw these flat laundry detergent sheets is how easy and convenient they are.
I love the fact that the container takes up less space than a traditional detergent bottle. These are packaged in a cardboard container with a resealable plastic container inside of it. You open the plastic, take one sheet out, and place it in the washer before you put your clothes in.
I’ve tested these detergent sheets with multiple types of loads: sheets, towels, whites, darks, and kids clothes. So far all of them have come clean with no problems and I am highly satisfied with the cleaning power.
They do not contain dues or fragrance which is a huge plus in my family and something that is important to me. These pass the skin test as I had no allergies to them whatsoever. I have very sensitive skin but these showed no reaction for me.
The cleaning power of these liquidless laundry sheets is pretty good, nothing I washed still looked dirty or needed to be washed again. I love the ease of use for just throwing one sheet in the washer and not having to measure different sizes for different loads.
I did use two sheets in one exceptionally dirty load, but it came clean easily. Overall I have been very happy with this choice and would definitely get these again when I run out.
Laundry detergent sheets that are powerful, easy to use, save space, easily dissolve and leave no mess. Paraben free, vegan & cruelty free, phthalate free, phosphate free, bleach & dye free. Works in HE (high efficiency) machines.
I LOVE the idea of this product and was happy to give it a shot. I had two problems and one was absolutely my own fault. 1) I got the box wet! The laundry sheets did exactly what they are supposed to do and started melting.
I quickly took all the sheets from the envelope they came in and cut off the dampened sticky corner which saved the rest. I will still use the pieces that got wet but to be fair in trying the product I used half a fresh new sheet in each of three loads of wash.
One load of towels which were left clean and soft. One load of bedding which made my sheets feel and look like new again. And finally, one load of mixed clothing which left them all clean and soft, even removed a set stain! Load three also resulted in my second negative result and the reason I need to cancel my subscription.
2) My boyfriend has seriously sensitive skin and with no other changes to my laundry regime or his daily living activities the laundry sheets appear to have caused a light rash on his upper arms and chest after his shirt was washed.
As a disclaimer he’s given me permission to share that he is allergic to so many things – peanuts and all nuts in the tree nut family and other foods, grass, most flowers, dust, and mold. He has other allergens that have not been diagnosed yet.
He also suffers from asthma and has high blood pressure for which he takes medication and could also cause reactions with detergents, etc. I’m going to continue to follow this company and their products because my entire family cares about our Earth.
For now we will continue to recycle our detergent bottles but I look forward to other products to help us help Her. Thank you!!.
After thorough research, and trying several companies that make environmentally responsible laundry products, my sister told me Earth Breeze was the best of the lot. Since I too, would like to move away from plastic jugs and use more environmentally sound products, I decided to give it a whirl and ordered the fragrance free eco sheets.
After they arrived, I was wondering how it would work out since the sheets didn’t fit inside the little compartment my top-loading washer has for detergent, and the manufacturers instructions said don’t put detergent on top of the clothes.
So I just folded the sheet into quarters and tucked it in to the compartment. Then I was wondering – since it is fragrance free and my clothes aren’t usually all that visibly dirty, how will I know if it really got them clean? Well, being someone who cooks a lot, and also uses a lot of hand towels when I cook, sometimes those towels are left to fester a bit before they get washed.
I use the towels mostly for drying vegetables while prepping, but sometimes those towels smell pretty rank when left to sit. That was my test. When the load was done, I took those towels out of the washer and they just had a very clean aroma, not scented, just clean.
And the clothes looked and smelled fine as well. There was no residue, nor any remnants left over from the eco sheet in the compartment, as it completely dissolved. I am extremely pleased that I found my new detergent.
So happy to finally not be contributing to the endless supply of laundry jugs in our recycling plants and landfills. Thank you for such a wonderful product!.
So I will be quite honest, these peaked my interest when I saw them advertised. Mainly because I make my 9, 13 & 16 year-old do their own laundry and I was absolutely tired of liquid detergent. They would fill too much in the reservoir of our front loading washing machine or somehow managed to get detergent running down the side because the container would drip and I saw these at absolutely love the concept.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the fact that they are environmentally friendly and free of most harmful stuff, but I was motivated to purchase these for very different reasons. I absolutely love them however, and it is really no more expensive than the liquid laundry detergent that I was frequently buying and using way too much of.
This dissolves completely in The detergent reservoir which is great considering all my usual liquid laundry detergent still would have a little bit left in the reservoir after washes. There is a very light fresh scent but I don’t need a ton of scent for clothing, I just need them clean which this product does extremely well.
I store it in a plastic sandwich container instead of the original packaging. Just due to the fact that we live in Florida and the high humidity that we have, I was concerned about the paper packaging and moisture getting to the laundry sheets.
Overall I’m very happy with the product and will continue to using it. It cleans just as well as the messy laundry detergent that I was using previously, and I do feel good about it being more eco-friendly.
Gentle on your skin and your clothes, Dropps natural laundry detergent pods are the safer, powerful alternative. No scents, no dyes, no enzymes and no chlorine means no worries for your sensitive skin and no compromises when it comes to clean clothes.

Natural, environmentally friendly, biodegradable plant based formula is approved for EPAs Safer Choice program Cruelty free and never tested on animals (on PETAs list of products that do not test) Item Dimensions: 9.
Is it too funky to be in love with laundry detergent? I love the convenience of detergent pods but was starting to be concerned about gumming up the works, both in my washing machine and in the environment, so I Googled to find a more natural alternative.
Also, I have new Norwex microfiber cleaning cloths (which I’m also in love with), and they’re not supposed to be washed in detergent with fillers or with fabric softener or dryer sheets. It was complicated to treat them separately.
The Fresh Start fragrance smells so good! It doesn’t last as long as I wish it did, but at least it’s not too strong. I hope the fabric softener pods will come in the Fresh Start fragrance eventually.
(I had bought unscented fabric softener pods so that the fragrances wouldn’t fight with each other. ) It’s hard to believe that one little pod will wash a whole load of laundry, but it does. This, combined with the fabric softener pods, makes my clothes whiter, softer, and smells better.
It gets out longstanding odors, like in my pillowcases. I had bought the little bags to put the pods in, in case they didn’t dissolve well, but they have not been necessary to use.
I’ve been using Dropps laundry detergent, oxi-booster, and fabric softener pods for a while. I also have used the dishwasher detergent. I really like how the product works, but I’ve noticed issues with the pods leaking or breaking lately.
I got a shipment of dishwasher pods in the winter, and the company was aware that very cold temps could affect the integrity of the pods. They offered to replace any broken ones, but it was till kind of a mess.
Plus it was hard to tell how many had broken. Now in the summer, a few of my laundry detergent ones have leaked, and some of the oxi boosters are sticking together. Not sure if that’s the heat or what.
These are somewhat minor inconveniences, but nonetheless. The other thing I find with subscription services is that I can’t quite get the renewal time right. Either I run out too soon, or I don’t need them yet when they’re ready to ship.
Also, because I do washing stuff and dish stuff I need them at different times. I’m going to try a different sustainable brand for awhile. I’m ready to just be able to order what I need when I need it for the best price.
YOU GUYS! 33 year old woman who is active and so is my husband. We work out at the gym and mow our OWN lawn in Florida *it actually seems very rare as to why I’m mentioning it*. I could NOT get the stink out of our athletic clothes.
I was using an MLM CLEAN detergent, and it has worked for years, but we must just stink more after the move down south (sarcasm. ) I would do a booster, vinegar and double wash to no avail. THIS ACTIVE WEAR detergent moves mountains.
I paired it with oxi-boost and fabric softener for my first load and I am forever grateful that I found Dropps. I bought the whole shebang. Including sensitive skin fresh air and all the “clean/air dry” scents even though I am a total chamomile/lavender/eucalyptus fanatic.
Those will be my next go around! It is way pricier than what I paid for my other one but it works SO much better and remains clean. The scent is light enough but still slightly THERE. To be fair, for the first handful of washes, I have been adding both the oxi-booster and the fabric softener.
Worth it, I hardly write reviews. This is a must have for us forever!.

I usually buy all of my household supplies on Amazon or from Walmart and never took notice to anything other than my usual purchase of Tide when it came to laundry detergent. I opted to give Persil a try after reading so many great reviews and realizing that it was around the same price as most other detergents.
I first used it to wash my bedding and I was very impressed. Only a small amount is needed in a load of laundry so the jug lasts a rather long time. It smells so fresh and clean as well. I have sensitivity to detergents and cleaners and had no reactions from this detergent.
Additionally, it doesn’t need scent boosting products and I found that I usually don’t need to pretreat stains. My absolute favorite part of using this detergent is that it can most likely get any odor out of clothing.
Unless something better comes along, which I doubt will happen, this is my permanent first choice for detergent and I highly recommend it!.
I’ve been telling friends and family about this detergent for years. I don’t know what it is but this is hands down the best detergent on the market. It’s hard to explain what it does. it makes my clothes feel relaxed.
and almost worn in a way but still clean. Basically it has kept all my jeans and sweaters and shirts from shrinking in the arm and leg length. Hands down best detergent for jeans. Works with any water temp but best on cold! Which is even better! Also i don’t separate any colors except reds.
NOTHING has ever bled and I put whites In the mix! My whites come out whiter than when I first bought them! And the smell is so fresh and clean. Not artificial and works great on family members who are sensitive to certain formulas.
I will never switch. I’m 29 and 15 year old me would have laughed at me if she thought I’d love a detergent so much one day that I’d be writing this! #adultingisfunsometimes #thelittlethings.
There really is not one think I dislike about this detergent. The intense scent is my favorite. I will say there was an incident while camping which involved urine. We did not have the time to treat this too much and it got bagged up and sat on top of the van in the hot sun for a few days.
I was about to just throw the blanket away, but decided to go for it. This detergent actually got rid of the smell, and the smell never returned! Not to mention, the blanket even feels softer. I did presoak with vinegar, as i do with alot of our laundry.
I hope I never get tired of the scent of this stuff because I honestly do not want to go back to other brands, and maybe not even want to try a new brand. I guess the only thing I “dislike” is Persil doesn’t seem to carry fabric softener sheets? That I can find anyway.

I LOVE this so much i dont know where to start. Growing up in Jamaica being a 80’s baby this is and was what my parents and grandparents used. The small is very very did i say very, very strong, i love it.
Living in a small NY apartment with windowless bathroom this helps to keep it smelling fresh, you know when your the only female in the house, dad and boys 7 and 11. The price cant be beat, powder detergent is economical, last longer, less waste, leaves clothes smelling awesome and clean.
The thing i really love about it is thats its made by Proctor and Gamble makers of Tide, Gain etc. as an individual i believe Tide and Gain are overpriced i dont know why. I used to use Tide Simple Clean when i get it on sale with coupon from my local Shoprite for $0.
99 im tired of trying to find space to store them because ill buy 15-20 bottle each time because i like to give them to family members. After rediscovering Ariel its Bye bye Tide and sticking with this one, so much lighter on my wallet and takes up less real estate.
It does work for me but might not be for everyone. So fresh, So Clean mmmmm!!!!.
I have a lawn maintenance, landscape business. I get SUPER dirty and sweaty every day. Was looking for a good laundry detergent that I could afford at Walmart. Looking puzzled and confused. When I very nice lady/Customer approached me and ask if she could help.
I told her my story and she recommended Ariel laundry detergent. Said that, her mother had used it for years as a child and she used it now on all of her laundry needs for her family. Bought a large bag to give it a try.
Used 1/4 cup for HE front load washer. Heavy duty cycle. Was very pleased to find that it did not foam or cause any problems with my washer. That can be an issue. All of my uniforms came out amazingly clean.
And smell great too…! I am super happy with amazing results…! Now I use it for all my laundry needs…! Thank you to the very nice lady at Walmart…! Thank you Ariel for making a laundry detergent affordable and efficient…!.
For some odd reason, the scent of Ariel changed years ago. Now the only place you can purchase the nice, strong scented Ariel detergent is from another country, and it comes in a green and white bag, and the shipping cost is outrageous.
So, when my niece was stationed in Germany, she brought me back three bags of the green bag Ariel. To preserve it, I purchased this American version of Ariel powder detergent, dumped it in a bucket with a scoop and lid, and I mixed in the sweet, strong scented, German Ariel in the green bags.
This worked out wonderfully. I now have the long lasting scented Ariel I remember from years ago. I’ve always liked the performance of this detergent and the price, but was very disappointed the scent changed.
It cleans well, rinses clean, and doesn’t leave a residue in my washing machine like other detergents that forces me to clean the washer more often than one should. Plus, it does have a stronger water softener agent than most detergents that helps keep the dirt from getting back onto the clothes during the wash, and works wonders for those with hard water.
I do wish the American markets would sell the green bags of Ariel. Some people do not know what they are missing.

Reviews From Real Customers
This detergent is great. It cleans stains out of fabric. It also removes smells from fabric. It does not add any smell. One thing it does not do, it does not help against your clothes developing a smell if you use the clothes to do anything sweaty in them.
Like if you play soccer and get sweaty, the smell will be in your clothes until you wash them. If you mow the lawn and your clothes smell of cut grass, you will smell like freshly cut grass and sweat until you take the clothes off.
If you play shuffleboard in your clothes in a breezy area, you will not smell of sweat because you won’t get sweaty, but your clothes will also not add any fresh scent to your surroundings because this detergent has no scent.
You see, this detergent will let all your clothes smell like you. To me, that is a great thing. Everything in life should be this simple and easy. Life is difficult enough. This detergent is one of the few things that is not going to make your day harder one bit.
You give it dirty, smelly clothes and it gives you clean and unsmelly clothes back. It does this job marvelously. It does this job wonderfully. I mean, I am just so unreasonably happy that this product exists.
Without it, I would have to use detergent that smells of something. If I played tennis in my clothes, I would be causing others to smell my detergent if I used a different detergent. I can’t be sure that a different detergent would clean my clothes as good as this one either.
I used to use another detergent. I promised to deodorize my clothes. I guess it did. But the price was that I was forced to smell like that detergent. This detergent without any dyes or perfumes does not pretend to be anything but a liquid to make my dirty and smelly clothes clean and smelling of nothing.
And that it does. So wonderfully. My conclusion is that if you are looking for a detergent that will clean your clothes without competing with your natural body scent or your chosen deodorant or cologne, use this detergent.
It will deliver on all its promises. When can you have a product deliver on its promises like that? Hardly ever. So, buy this. If you need you laundry to smell of something, maybe put a piece of fragrant soap into your closet.
That way, your clothes stay fresh for a long time and you can choose the fragrance that pleases you most. This detergent will not force you to smell like anything in particular.
I was looking for a detergent that is non allergenic. I read a lot of the reviews for this detergent before I decided to order it. I am itching all night long non stop every night. Many of the reviewers state that this product worked and some people stopped itching.
I was really hoping that the bed sheets will be comfortable finally. There was no difference, it was very disappointing because I am suffering and the itching is non stop. I cannot sleep all night. Well, I don’t know how it helped those people in the reviews but it sure didn’t do a thing for me.
So you can’t believe everything anyone says. The container is very heavy. It did not have an odor like a few reviewers mentioned. The container came in tack no problems with that. I like the idea of the pour spout a great feature.
However the detergent comes out too slowly. I have to press the push button and hold it for quite awhile waiting for the soap to dispense. It’s probably faster to pour. The clothes did not get any cleaner.
A few items definitely did not get clean. It’s hard to say if I really will get 140 loads of wash. I probably use even less detergent then recommended. I give it 1 star for the idea of the dispenser and 1 star for the 210 fluid oz of detergent.
I would not recommend this product if you are looking for a detergent for sensitive skin.

Great for ALL Fabrics – The best sports detergent, safe and gentle for all fabrics from synthetic nylons to cottons and wools. Use on yoga tops, leggings, sport bras, or compression shorts and also on towels, sheets and all your laundry.
Biodegradable & Eco-Friendly – Pours like water, cleans without the use of thickeners, dyes, phosphates, SLS, parabens, or fragrance encapsulants to mask odors traditional detergents leave behind. Environmentally friendly for the best household cleaning.
I primarily use it on my synthetics. Couple it with dryer balls (avoid dryer sheets on synthetics!) and it makes a difference. My only comment is that there appears to be some confusion regarding bottle and packaging sizes.
The detergent bottle pictured here for 32 loads is missing a volume indicator and sells for $11. 99. If you look online at a retailer such as Amazon, you can see 32 load bottles listed as 32 fl oz and selling for similar price/bottle.
I know if you got to Target or Wegmans however and look for the bottles, you can buy them for $6. 99-7. 99 and they are clearly labeled as 32 loads as well but have a volume of 50 fl oz. There is clearly something misleading about the labeling as it doesn’t add up.
As an aside, if you look at the 100 fl oz box packaging on this site, it sells for $29. 99. Clearly you can buy two 50 fl oz bottles locally for about 1/2 the price??? obviously shipping factors into it, but that’s a pretty big difference.
Summary: Hex – great product – but fix your website/labeling as this is not really a good look.
I love Hex detergent! After deciding to try it for my kids smelly athletic gear and getting great results i subscribed and have using it on all my laundry since then. My laundry is fresh and clean without that waxy coating you can get.
Best of all my washer doesn’t get that stink that requires buying washing machine cleaner. Those that wrote reviews saying the clothes smelled funny I’d recommend cleaning your washer to remove the gunk from your previous detergents and then give Hex another try.
My laundry is fresh and clean without all those extra perfumes and no need for those extra perfume additives. My kids football gear is fresh and clean after gameday. Highly recommend! The only dislike is i have a hard time finding it in stores.
I originally visited my local store to buy the unscented version of this product, but unfortunately it was sold out. I bought this instead despite mixed to negative reviews about it leaving behind an awful smell.
The reviews were correct. It got rid of the BO, but left behind a weird smell that turned into something like sour milk after the clothes have been worn. Very strong, too. I ordered the unscented version for delivery, but I’m afraid to use it now because it also has a few reviews saying that it does the same thing and that it’s not unscented at all.
If Target ever stocks the Clean Linen scent, I’ll give it a try. I don’t see the same reviews for that one.
The best laundry detergent for sensitive skin that smells good is one that is hypoallergenic and unscented. This type of detergent will not cause any irritation or skin reactions and will leave your clothes smelling fresh and clean.
