20 Best Laundry Detergent For Psoriasis (2023 Updated)

First of all, I am very grateful for the opportunity that Influenster gave me to test out this product. I received this free to try and in return, give my honest opinion about the product and my experience.

The EASYDOSE product I received came in the 23. 1 FL OZ bottle in the Rose Scent. Its claim was that it was good for 66 loads. I gave this product a 1 star rating, (will explain) but as I believe and appreciate what this company is trying to do, I feel that, itself, should be acknowledged positively.

Pros: The idea and concept of “Easy Dose”, as well as the eco friendly concept of all of their products. I initially liked the smell of the product as well, as it is unique, not finding that scent offered with other brands.

Cons: Concept of one squeeze for medium loads, and two squeezes for heavey loads. In my opinion, this does not work in a real world setting. First of all, is that medium size LOAD or medium SOIL level.

Although it states it is concentrated, one squirt was not sufficient to clean my laundry and especially not my son’s. He works in maintenence and gets pretty dirty as well as having a bigger physique, sweats A LOT.

Even just washing my LIGHTLY soiled clothes, MEDIUM size load, they did not come out feeling or smelling clean at all, even after they had dried. Definitely did not smell like a ROSE. So when I next washed my son’s clothes, LARGE load, HEAVY soil, I just used two squeezes.

The load came out smelling just just as bad as it did when I started. I washed that load for a second time, doubling the amount of product I used the first time, 4 squirts. It came out still smelling just as bad.

I ended up rewashing it for a third time in my regular Detergent and it came out clean and smelling fresh. I continued to use the product only for my clothes, which if trying to save money, you wouldn’t want to have to buy multiple separate products to do the family laundry.

Again, continued disappointment with the rest of this product. Having to rewash my laundry and use more of the product than recommended, which is not recommended with HD machines, caused me more time and effort to get my laundey clean as well as the wasting water to rewash.

Definitely DID NOT get 66 loads out of that bottle. Definitely NOT a money saver if having to rewash your laundry and counting on that number of loads as advertised. Disappointed and definitely WOULD NOT purchase this product in the future.

Loved the size of the bottle and the fact I didn’t have to pour it in a cup just a squirt. I would say I had a medium load seeing it was mostly bath towels and a few face and hand towels. I also used a little booster and a small amount of scents.

The upstairs hallway smelled amazing and the clothes came out not smelling like roses but fresh. I love wearing my perfumes and I don’t want the scent of my clothes to be over powered by my laundry soap or dryer sheets.

I smelled the towels this morning and they smelled clean and fresh. I look forward to trying the other scents I really love Lavender and will spray my bedding with it before bed so I really don’t care if my clothes come out the dryer not smelling like roses or lavender because we using a Free and Clear detergent at the moment and we are ok with no scents but we’ll add the scents to the wash.

I like smelling laundry drying outside when the scents come through the vent but sitting hear at my desk if I put my nose to my sweater or shirt there is a light scent and it’s fresh and clean. I’m going to wash a small load of my clothes without the scents or booster and that’ll determine if I’ll try another bottle when I’m done with this one.

The Laundress Classic scent detergent is 33 ounces and that’s what I’ve been using and the after the dryer scent is there but not over powering. Also super concentrated but I use more than suggested not too much.

I think you should use detergent accordingly if you or someone is working in dirt then of course use more I think 66 loads is for small to medium loads not large loads.

In our home we are actively working to implement more environmentally safe, biodegradable, plant based products. However it is a challenge to find cruelty free and effective products for cleaning anything: from dishes and floors to clothes and linens.

When I read about Seventh Generation’s 100% biodegradable, rose scented detergent I hoped the 97% plant based product would clean our clothes as effectively as the chemicals we’ve been using. First things first; it has a lovely rose oil fragrance and I checked reliable third party testing sources and read that the plant based enzymes and 100% biodegradable claims are true and the only complaint from an environmental standpoint was a lack of less wasteful packaging.

This is not an issue for me to debate as our recycling is still full on a weekly basis- but we are trying. The result was clean laundry without much of a fragrance but I didn’t have anything really dirty or smelly in the bin.

Compared to the few other “green” detergents I have used this worked better in terms of general cleaning and leaving some fragrance. The downside is that it wasn’t very effective on stains whether they had “set in” or were fresh and lastly the rose scent didn’t last very long after the initial wash.

That can be enhanced with essential oil mists for the dryer though.

This product was fairly inexpensive and it’s concentrated, so it will last you a long time. Very little is needed per load. Unfortunately, If you use too much, it will make your clothes feel sort of slimey.

Nothing that another wash won’t fix. but that kind of defeats the purpose. I didn’t want the smell to be overpowering, and it wasn’t. I also wanted the detergent itself to be made with mostly natural ingredients.

At first it was working for me just fine, but over time I’ve become fairly unimpressed with it. I’ve decided when I finally run out I’ll probably try something else. The smell is just. Different. Not my favorite.

I was looking for a detergent that is non allergenic. I read a lot of the reviews for this detergent before I decided to order it. I am itching all night long non stop every night. Many of the reviewers state that this product worked and some people stopped itching.

I was really hoping that the bed sheets will be comfortable finally. There was no difference, it was very disappointing because I am suffering and the itching is non stop. I cannot sleep all night. Well, I don’t know how it helped those people in the reviews but it sure didn’t do a thing for me.

So you can’t believe everything anyone says. The container is very heavy. It did not have an odor like a few reviewers mentioned. The container came in tack no problems with that. I like the idea of the pour spout a great feature.

However the detergent comes out too slowly. I have to press the push button and hold it for quite awhile waiting for the soap to dispense. It’s probably faster to pour. The clothes did not get any cleaner.

A few items definitely did not get clean. It’s hard to say if I really will get 140 loads of wash. I probably use even less detergent then recommended. I give it 1 star for the idea of the dispenser and 1 star for the 210 fluid oz of detergent.

I would not recommend this product if you are looking for a detergent for sensitive skin.

A few family members were recommended to use a free and clear type of detergent. Lucky us to find out Arm and Hammer made one and we had been selected to try out a sample. Arm and Hammer has been used by our family for generations even before they made detergent to solve laundry problems.

This detergent is free of perfume and dyes but not free of powerful cleaning ability. Our laundry was left clean and stain free but not saturated in heavy scents or unnecessary dyes. Those dyes and scents have caused us problems in the past.

Kid stains- yep, we are free and clear of those! Work clothes with tough spots-yep, also free and clear of spots! This is the GOOD STUFF and is now our detergent of choice for every laundry item.

I usually buy the store brand detergent but needed a new one so I got this one. It does smell really good at first, however that disappears quickly. The amount you should use per load is stated on the product/in the cap.

But the cap portions are a bit confusing as the all are similar, so just poured the amount I thought was best for the load size. All stains were removed, in case you’re curious. But while the clothes seemed clean, I noticed that the clean scent isn’t there or doesn’t last long.

I wonder if the formula of the detergent has changed, but for the price we pay I believe it should be stronger, and last longer at least. I will probably buy a different detergent next time.

My go to for years has been Tide. It gets the job done and to me worth the price. No complaints at all about how well it cleans the clothes. The scent I like. I was buying scent free but decided to try this and and am pleased.

To me it’s a touch of fruity/citrus. I like the fresh scent that comes out the machine when i open the door of the dryer. It’s not a strong smell on the clothes – I don’t want to wear laundry detergent like perfume haha My only gripe is the lid.

My hands are small and not strong and I can’t open them. I need to get someone to do that. That’s a serious inconvenience and annoyance, I get the kid proof idea but not every household has kids and I wish they would keep that in mind.

If you had arthritis which many people do I think you would struggle. grrrrr There are packages that are soft sided bags which is great but the cost per pod is a lot higher and paying more not for a better product but for an easier opening is not ok.

So product is great packaging for some sucks.

I generally prefer to do most of my laundry with free and gentle detergent. Just because a product is free of certain ingredients, it doesn’t mean it should be less efficient and not do a good job. However, not all free and clear/gentle brands are equal.

I find that Tide works much better than others. It delivers great results even when it comes to heavily soiled rags, rugs etc. I usually prefer liquid detergent, because I can control the amount much better, but truth be told pods are so much more convenient, less messy and they take less space.

Plus you can store them in a glass jar in your laundry room and they look a lot better than a big plastic bottle or container. I can do small and medium loads with just one pod and they come out as expected – fresh and clean.

Even if there is no scent, they have a clean smell.

I received the Tide plus Downy free for review. Firstly the packaging stands out, it is white and very clean looking and is a perfect match for the products message. When you actually see the laundry pod it is clear/white which matches the packaging.

The “Free” in the product name most likely ties to the fact that the product is free of perfumes, dyes and phosphates. This is an excellent product for anyone with sensitivities from scent sensitivities to skin sensitivities.

It is accepted and recognized by the national eczema association and the national psoriasis foundation. Taking a sniff of the laundry pod you will notice virtually no smell. As someone who has family members with scent sensitivities and suffer from eczema i am glad there are products like this being introduced by widely known brands that are easily accessible.

Using the pods are easy and not any different from other laundry pods. I found them effective leaving my clothes clean but without any strong scents. If you are equating cleanliness with a scent for your laundry this product would not be recommended.

Also stated on the packaging is that the pods dissolve in all temperatures including cold. I was particularly excited by this piece as I like to wash a lot of my clothes in cold water so it was good to know that this was compatible with a cold wash.

Finally the packaging also states the formula is made with 100% renewable wind and power electricity! I am always happy to hear when large corporations are trying new methods to be more environmentally keen.

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone and will be looking for it the next time I purchase any laundry detergent.

I’m getting my degree in forestry, so I love anything that smells like a forest, BUT I am very, very picky about forest scents bc there are a lot of fake forest smells out there. It smelled so good that I almost didn’t want to use it.

I finally washed my grandma’s quilt with it. It’s a pretty thick quilt (like the one ASAP Rocky wore to the Met Gala 2021). It cleaned very well and left a wonderful forest scent that wasn’t too strong.

Also I bought one for my mom and when she finally used it, she freaked out and said we need to buy more of this.

It took me a while to make the decision to purchase the Forest Therapy signature detergent. It’s pricier than a lot of the other scents. But I finally did it and I couldn’t be more delighted. It’s a fairly strong and lasting scent.

It’s this magnificent green forest scent. It’s great for towels and blankets – the scent is perfect for these items. I just love getting out of the shower to the beautiful green scent. Also, snuggling under a blanket with this scent is so comforting.

It cleans beautifully, as do all of The Laundress’s detergents. I highly recommend this scent if you like scents that are not sweet but rather, very crisp and almost herbaceously green-smelling. So nice!.

How dare you? How do you think you can get away with duping people like this? Why should I pay more for this than the classic? It smells nice in the bottle sure they all do but none of them contain any scent and don’t give me the air dry bs I tried that too.

At least it’d be one thing if it weren’t as harsh as Tide but they put SLES a known toxin as the main ingredient after water in their Signature detergent. No thanks don’t want your cancer guys leave me alone.

Super expensive wash substance. This liquid is supposed to provide 210 washas, so I bought it at a super high “on sale” price. I sniffed my cleaned clothes after the complete wash cycle: they stank. I put in another dose of this Max Liquid, and did another complete wash cycle.

Result: they still stunk. Did another cycle and poured in the liquid. Result: somewhat berter. So the bottle of liquid lasted only for a couple of weeks. no way it gives 210 loads.

Takes very little, as in about 1. 5 tablespoons, for a front load washer load! No need to spend extra on low-sudsing products for front loaders! I have a Miele and it woks beautifully in it! I love that it isn’t harmful to the environment, my septic activity, and I appreciate the non-scented! A little goes a long way!.

Cleans much better than expected. I am trying to buy more eco-friendly products but am sometimes disappointed when they don’t work as well. This hypo-allergenic laundry wash does a great job even on my gardening clothes.

The label says no added fragrance but it does leave a very light, clean scent (maybe from the botanicals?). Glad I tried this.
