20 Best Laundry Detergent For Long Lasting Smell (2023 Updated)

I just ordered three scents to use at my apartment for washing sheets, clothes, and now that I’ve read other reviews mopping my floor! I found this glamorous wash because at work I wash my boss clothes every week and she has the diva scent to use on her delicates.

Whenever I do her laundry I use a quick squirt and immediately bubbles start coming up and it smells sooooo good. The items even stay smelling good when they’re dirty the smell lasts so well. I’m really excited to use these products on my sheets and sleep in a nice smelling bed every night.

The products are a little pricey but they’re really concentrated and a little goes a long way. I’m going to follow the advice of others and buy a fragrance free detergent and add a table spoon or two of the glamorous wash for added smell.

! I bought my first bottle off Amazon and it was super powerful and smelled amazing. It was a little pricey! $28. 99 for a measly 32 ounces but it wanted to try it and glad I did! So worth it!!.

As expensive as this wash is, I trusted that I would receive a fresh batch of the diva detergent. When opening, it smelled off. I thought it might be ok after washing, but it wasn’t. It left no scent behind- even after using more than one should.

When it’s good and pure, everyone knows a little goes a long way- otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth 50 dollars. Don’t try and email them- it’s just a waste of time, they will not respond. I tried a few times to no avail.

This business doesn’t stand by its products sadly. I would’ve gladly exchanged it and give your biz another try, but you’ve lost yet another customer/s. I’ll be telling my friends/family to use someone else.

At least Amazon backs their Tyler’s and if not satisfied, you can exchange or get a refund. Thumbs down Louisiana pantry, on terrible customer service and no response to emails.

This stuff smells like heaven and lingers forever. I get the best compliments from people who get close to me and smell it. I don’t wear perfume because it gives me a headache but this stuff smells so good and lingers so I don’t have to wear perfume and no headache.

I also do hot yoga and use a small capful to wash sweaty clothes and they never smell bad. Use a capful with an unscented detergent pod and the smell won’t be too powerful. Love love love! Excited to find this product here in such a large container for a much better price than Amazon and it arrived in 2 days with free shipping.

This stuff is expensive, but pretty potent so a little goes quite a long way. I started off trying the small size wash cause I wasn’t sure if I’d like it and didn’t want to spend more for the bigger size.

Now that’s all I buy. I am back reordering- I won’t be without it. It’s a treat for my clothes and my senses. I use this and Tyler’s diva wash, and it really makes me tolerate doing laundry. I also put a little sweet grace and water in a spray bottle and spray my laundry before putting into the dryer.

The scent is kinda sweet but with some spice to it. Definitely unique with a kind of comforting smell to it. Love it in all my laundry but especially things I like to cuddle up in such as soft blankets, sweaters, robes etc.

Oh my goodness! What a treasure this detergent is! Although the scent is heavenly, the cleansing is superb! It’s the best! It is ALWAYS in my ‘laundry arsenal’, and I use it daily! I wash all my ‘pretties’ with it…as well as, bedding, bath towels and blouses.

Several years ago, I started gifting my daughters with it at Christmas, and they look forward to receiving! My last resort ver night guest asked me what I must wash with because her bedding smelled so divine! Lol! I’m a solid customer! ❤️❤️❤️.

I love the way this stuff smells! I squirt about 2 tablespoons in with all off my laundry in addition to using a little less of my regular detergent. My house always smells so good. It is not overly sweet, no recognizable particular fragrance like cinnamon or musk.

It’s more delicate than that. I also have a sachet packet in my car.

Yes yes yes and yes. One of my deep life pet peeves is laundry soap running all over everything. Having to rinse the cap in the sink. Or even tho the bottle is designed to make it run back into the bottle it runs down the side and makes a mess.

This cap is genius. I love it so much that I would probably buy a bottle of it and out other detergent in it if if didn’t get the clothes clean. However it gets the clothes clean. The smell isn’t overpowering which is great.

I also don’t like smelly soap and I accidentally ordered scented instead of unscented. I can actually live with it. I can’t believe I am this excited about laundry detergent. It’s not any more expensive than other soap because it’s concentrated.

Very impressed with the Swash liquid laundry detergent. The size of the bottle is amazing! With it being 8x concentrated this 887ml bottle can wash up to 83 loads. No more lugging huge heavy bottle of laundry soap home from the stores.

The scent is my favourite part, such a fresh light clean scent. The bottle has a build in pour cap that is very easy to use and measures exactly how much you need with no fussing with plastic cups. You just need one squeeze for regular loads and 2 squeezes for large loads.

My clothes is clean and it works well on heavy soils. Swash has truly put a lot of thought into the bottle and design and it shows. I will be using swash for now on! If you haven’t tried it you need to!.

Terrible scent–to me. too strong. The scent does not leave the clothes even when you air them out. I used another GV that had a light lavender scent. This was not lavender; if it is, it is masked by other.

It made me sneeze. I am amazed that anyone loves it as is written. Perhaps those who like Gain or other very strongly scented. I got it because the other was out and this one mentioned lavender. If you want something on the light side, this is NOT the one you want.

The other GV is $9. 97 now (is light scent, wonderful) and available via shipping. Just got some delivered. A lot like 7th generation, much cheaper; similar to Trader Joe’s/ was about same price. I just don’t live near a TJs.

I opted to give Persil a try after reading so many great reviews and realizing that it was around the same price as most other detergents. I first used it to wash my bedding and I was very impressed.

Only a small amount is needed in a load of laundry so the jug lasts a rather long time. It smells so fresh and clean as well. I have sensitivity to detergents and cleaners and had no reactions from this detergent.

Additionally, it doesn’t need scent boosting products and I found that I usually don’t need to pretreat stains. My absolute favorite part of using this detergent is that it can most likely get any odor out of clothing.

Unless something better comes along, which I doubt will happen, this is my permanent first choice for detergent and I highly recommend it!.

This stuff is thin and watery. Scent retention doesn’t last on the clothes after it’s out of the dryer. Clothes don’t smell clean but they don’t smell bad either. Just a neutral smell. This new “hygienic” stuff can’t lift stains out of clothes either.

Wish they would bring back the original 10x heavy duty detergent. At least that could do the job I paid the money to do and wasn’t watered down. I just went through an old drawer full of clothes that I washed and ended up finding a couple pairs of socks that I last used the original 10x heavy duty detergent on and they still smell like the day I took them out of the dryer after washing them with the original 10x heavy duty.

The last time they were worn or washed was 2 years ago. And they still smell like the day I last washed them. Whereas my clothes that haven’t been washed in the same amount of time and used a different product on them smell stale and old.

I don’t know why they thought getting rid of the original heavy duty formula and going with this nonsense was a good idea.

I bought a 92 ox bottle of 10x hygienic while my wife was out of town. We have been using Tide Free and Gentle as our only detergent for many years because of our sensitive skin but Free and Gentle was not available at our Meijer Store in Michigan so I thought that a white bottle of Tide would also be suitable for sensitive skin.

Since the bottle was white, I bought it. When my wife came home and looked at the bottle she was horrified. She surmised that the 10x concentration would not be sensitive and (unknowingly) might take the color out.

Now reading the reviews here, many users have found that this product also causes skin rashes and other skin irritation on some users. I hope the we can continue to find Free and Gentle available. It wasn’t in the 92 ox size at our grocer.

I have been buying Tide HE for years. I have a LG inverter direct drive HE front loading washer. I’ve noticed that the Tide Hygienic Clean Heavy Duty 10X HE product foams excessively in my machine as compared to the other Tide HE products including a previous Heavy Duty addition.

I am using significantly less than the recommend amount for a small load despite filling my large capacity machine. I am still generating so much foam that my machine stops and flashes a warning. I have slowed the spin speed and that hasn’t helped much.

Previous Tide HE products did not do this in this machine even when I was using larger amounts of Tide and at a very high spin speed. This Heavy Duty HE product is acting like a non HE products with the foam issue.

I will be switching brands since I am tired of the foam issue.

I was pleasantly surprised by this laundry detergent! I had been using a different brand that we liked but it was so expensive. I decided to try this. For less than $6 for the amount you get, it was a deal worth trying.

I had tried Sun in the past in smaller bottles from Family Dollar and wasn’t impressed. I saw this gigantic tub of it on here and decided to give it another shot. Glad I did because this stuff is way better than what I tried before! I decided to use only the smallest amount for a test wash.

I thought it would not come out good or I’d need to re-wash with a larger amount. It came out great! It was surprisingly thick consistency and did a good job my husband’s funky work clothes, and my teenage sons clothes that were ravaged by his hormonal funk that I thought I’d need to burn lol! IšverstiShow in original languageI used this and another brand on my husbands workout clothes. When he is done working out we soak items in the detergent. It does a decent job but honestly I preferred the other brand for workout items.

I cannot remark about hunting clothes and this may be better for this purpose.

Initially we are not impressed. The main problem is the smell is hard to bear. Doesnt smell like lilacs or pink or pink lilacs. It doesnt suds either. But if for some reason anything changes will update this review.

But definitely will not buy again. Surprised because we like the unscented laundry detergent.

I had been using the unscented detergent prior to ordering this without any reaction. I noticed a red patch form on my left arm, it didn’t get worse while using but it also has not gone away fully since finishing the bottle (reaction got worse from another scent, reference orange blossom & chamomile for more details).

I can’t say with certainty if the essential oils caused this mild reaction, but it might help if Rebel Green listed specifically what essential oils are used to create the scent. The detergent seemed to leave a pleasant smell after washing laundry in this detergent, but as stated in my review of the unscented detergent, it is hit or miss on how well it cleans and removes odors.

I purchased this last month, and it works like a charm. I appreciate that it’s not full of chemicals, and it does in fact get your clothes clean. I pretreated a blackberry stain on a white shirt, and it got it out.

Also, I washed my dirty, stained converse sneakers and my former detergent didn’t do a thing. This cleans well, and I have a three year old boy. Sometimes I add a bit of baking soda as a booster if I feel it’s needed, but mostly I just use the product as the directions state.

This is my first experience with this type of natural laundry soap product.

I bought this detergent because the essential oil title was intriguing, as the original gain scent smells like chemicals to me and triggers headaches. This orange and energetic grapefruit was my favorite out of all three scents.

I will say I love this stuff because of the way it makes my clothes smell, if I use enough of it. As far as stain removal this product could use some improvement but it’s by far my favorite product by gain and I will continue to purchase as long as it is available to me.

Although my preference is powders, this Gain Lavender Chamomile is my go-to when I want to switch up to liquid detergent for a change. It is thick and concentrated, and IMO, has more cleaning power than any other liquid out there.

The fragrance is awesome as well. Keep in mind, this contains true Lavender EO, which actually has more of an herbal scent than a floral one. Mixed with a tough of Patchouli, the scent is absolutely wonderful.

Leaves a subtle, fresh fragrance on your clothing and linens. Highly recommend!.

I highly recommend this product. I’ve used this product most of my life and I find myself always going back to it when trying out other brands. I’ve tried many brands thru the years just to see if there’s any difference and to be honest, I saw nothing significant between them all.

This one is super affordable and it actually took out a major stain in my blue jeans that I didn’t think would come out. Idk if I brushed up against something or sat down on something but I was walking around with green liquid on my rear not knowing it until I changed my clothes.

I was mortified and irritated about it thinking they were ruined, but I use this Xtra detergent and to my surprise the stain was gone. I was happy because these are my favorite jeans. Please try this, you wont regret it.

I have used Xtra Laundry Detergent for many years. I have always had great results with it getting my clothes as clean as the very expensive brands! If you have a spot that is extra dirty, just pour some Xtra directly on the area and rub it in.

I recently washed my red rain coat (which doesn’t get wasted that often) and before washing I noticed there was a dirty ring on the inside of the collar. I hadn’t noticed it before I guess because the red color helped hide it.

I rubbed some Xtra along the inside collar, scrubbed the area with my fingers, washed it and the dirty ring was gone!! I have enjoyed every scent, so I am sure that I will love this new scent as well!! I am very comfortable in recommending Xtra Laundry Detergent to anyone who wants clean, fresh smelling clothes!.
