20 Best Laundry Detergent For Environment (2023 Updated)

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleMy daughter and I have very sensitive skin, so buying laundry detergent (among other things) can be a massive pain. We were using Babyganics for a long time because it had no odor and was the best for our skin even though it was particularly great for the environment.

We switched to AspenClean and have had no allergic reactions to it. It has no odor and is significantly better for the environment. I should note that this version (the liquid) does NOT have enzymes in it.

Enzymes help break down proteins, typically stains, such as grass, food, blood, etc. The type of enzymes determines what it is best at cleaning and the number of enzymes determines how many types of stains something can handle.

This has zero, meaning that any potential stains would need to be exclusively pre-treated before a regular wash cycle. Why does AspenClean do this? It’s better for your skin to have as few additive ingredients as possible, because fewer ingredients improves the likelihood of washing everything off the clothes by the end of the cycle.

Therefore we like using this detergent like 75% of the time. If there’s a load that has one or two items that really need stain removal, we pre-treat. The other 25% of loads we use something with enzymes, typically for things we don’t wear on our bodies for long periods of time, such as dishtowels.

I tried a couple different liquid detergents from other companies, which were ok. I was scared to try the Aspen unscented and so were my daughters, because we loved the fragrances we were used to, but needed to cut that cold turkey.

Also have had issues with other detergents actually cleaning smelly athletic and work clothes, and were skeptical AspenClean would do the trick. But they have far exceeded our expectations!! The clothes come out smelling fresh even though the detergent is unscented – I can’t explain it.

But we love the fresh clean that they are, and that it really means the clothes are clean because there are no harsh chemical fragrances covering up anything! The clothes come out super clean!! I love this detergent so much!!.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleI absolutely lovvveee their products but since price have went up I’m not sure if this will be an option for us. When it was a few dollars cheaper I was just okay with the price then.

I wish clean products were more affordable but they are already higher than what you would find in stores. So due to most things going up which makes since for Aspen to go up too it may not work for us any longer.

I’m aware that they have coupons and points. They also have amazing customer service but we may need to look as where. I’ve found a similar product though not Ewg certified it still gets a high rating.

It’s going for the price aspen used to be so I hope it works. I need these products. Products in stores break me out in horrible hives and rashes all over. So being sure it’s affordable matters. Hopefully I can get back shopping with you soon.

We just go through so much detergent it wouldn’t make sense for us.

I have been interested in trying the new waterless laundry detergent trend so I recently got these ECOSNext™ Liquidless Laundry Detergent Sheets, in the Free & Clear variety. These sheets boast a liquid free wash without the use and mess of laundry powders, or pods.

I love the idea of using less waste for our environment and having less bulky laundry detergent, so I got these to give them a try. My first reaction when I saw these flat laundry detergent sheets is how easy and convenient they are.

I love the fact that the container takes up less space than a traditional detergent bottle. These are packaged in a cardboard container with a resealable plastic container inside of it. You open the plastic, take one sheet out, and place it in the washer before you put your clothes in.

I’ve tested these detergent sheets with multiple types of loads: sheets, towels, whites, darks, and kids clothes. So far all of them have come clean with no problems and I am highly satisfied with the cleaning power.

They do not contain dues or fragrance which is a huge plus in my family and something that is important to me. These pass the skin test as I had no allergies to them whatsoever. I have very sensitive skin but these showed no reaction for me.

The cleaning power of these liquidless laundry sheets is pretty good, nothing I washed still looked dirty or needed to be washed again. I love the ease of use for just throwing one sheet in the washer and not having to measure different sizes for different loads.

I did use two sheets in one exceptionally dirty load, but it came clean easily. Overall I have been very happy with this choice and would definitely get these again when I run out.

I’ve tried to like this product, but I just can’t. I’m halfway through this bottle of Ecos Laundry Detergent, and by far it is the worst I have ever used. Sure it smells nice out of the bottle, but the smell doesn’t come out on the clothes at all.

As a matter of fact, my clothes still smell dirty, so you know that they are not getting clean. The “stain cleaning enzymes” are a joke, nothing comes out when you use this detergent. I’ve had to put in two scoops of OxiClean per load just to make up for the lack of cleaning power.

In addition, this product says that it’s hypoallergenic, but it caused my psoriasis to flare up. Save your money and get a better product. Sams should honestly stop carrying such a bad product. I really like the fact that Sam’s Club is trying to carry more eco-friendly products, but if you have to use a ridiculous amount of product to get the same amount of cleaning power as the normal brand, is it really eco-friendly?.

I love that this detergent has less harmful chemicals and that is the reason I initially purchased this. I also love that the scent is not overpowering. With those things said, this is not a great fit if you have a lot of stains you need to get out.

I have to pretreat every little stain with Shout before washing or else they will still come out with the stain after washing with this detergent. I will go back to All Free and Clear as I think it does a much better job.

I’ve bought this several times. It’s very amazing smelling, that berry scent is luscious. Cleans very nicely. Like others have said, the scent is subtle and just a faint amount lingers on the clothes.

It’s a very good soap for portable washers like a Zeny. You literally need a drop in a small portable semi automatic washer, and less than a cap full in a regular washer mechanized washer. I own both.

I wish this product came in a larger bottle though. Nice size bottle though for carrying between two washers in two different rooms. Recommend.

I like this laundry detergent. It cleans my clothes and the laundry has a slight lavender scent that is clean smelling which doesn’t last. I like that. It’s natural to me. Other detergents have a weird smell that lasts for years in clothes and that isn’t natural.

Swansons offered a good price on this item. I measured the amount on the first time with the cap and now I just pour out about the same each time in the soap tray (not measuring with the cap) and I always get clean clothes.

If anything, I have shorten the amount. I am happy with this product. I may try a different scent of Eco Me for fun.

I’ve been using Eco-Me Laundry Detergent for MANY loads now, and I can’t get over how well it cleans–in cold, warm, or hot water–delicates, hot whites, dark colors, etc. It has a very appealing citrusy berry scent (as labeled) which is very mild and subtle.

Just makes your clothes smell fresh without a lingering fragrance. A little goes a long way. I wish they sold a larger size (e. g. , 64 oz. ). A bit pricey for 32 oz. , but it’s worth it. No toxic ingredients.

I got diagnosed with eczema a month ago and have been trying to find products that work well with sensitive skin. I have found that this detergent works so well for my sensitive skin and does not lead to flareups.

I have also used other detergents in the past that were scent free and this detergent can compare to those because the scent is so light, yet very fresh. If you are looking for a detergent that works well with sensitive skin but has a good light scent, this is perfect.

I will say though, that this detergent is not that good at getting out stains. I pretty much don’t see any improvement in the stains at all. This kind might work well if you have lightly soiled or not at all soiled, everyday clothes, but not if you have tough stains.

I love this brand and what they stand for I just wish it worked just a little bit better on the stains.

I had to come back here and check to see that it was essential oils. I got it because of that – figured maybe natural fragrance was okay. I love magnolia flowers. The scent of this is so powerful that I didn’t believe it was essential oils.

This is awful. The scent is so overpowering that it feels as if I am using something dangerous. The scent is NOT desirable. It does NOT smell like magnolia flowers. I don’t know what the ratio is, but this is pungent.

I gave it 2 stars instead of one for the effort of not using chemical fragrances. This is the first and probably the last review i ever write, but wanted people to know and have the choice. I know Swanson would have accepted the return and paid for the return shipping, but I didn’t want them to pay for such a heavy return item and assumed the error.

Will give it away becauae I don’t even want to use it for the cleaning rags and rugs.

I’ve used this for a while now… and I am finally writing a review. I briefly read some other review screaming about some ingredient in it they don’t like but you know what I love the hell out of this stuff.

Still better than those very strong overbearing highly scented other well-known brands out there. Like I want to wash my clothes not have a perfume on top of it, like Gain detergent where I can smell that on people immediately.

Yuck, off putting. But with this one that’s not the case, subtle and keeps clothes soft.

The detergent is fine. However, the scent is not strong enough; can’t be detected once the laundry is out.

Clothing smells the same after laundering as when it went in. I have no idea where these high reviews come from. Overpriced. I’ve tried three loads and had to rewatch them all with laundress instead.

Washes fine but takes more than the kind I used prior. Smells chemical in my opinion, not like real lavender. The thing that got to me is the way the spout is made: there’s like almost a cup of soap that can’t be poured out in the end, so you have to throw it away.

I hate waste. I had to cut open the bottle with a knife to get the leftover, enough for 2 small loads. And then you can’t reuse the container. NOT eco.

When you compare the size and amount of loads this can do compared to the same products of smaller sizes, this is a great deal especially when it goes on sale! Just a caution: As this product is fairly heavy I ended up breaking the bottle at the cap area when it shifted in the trunk while driving home from C.

T. Half of it came out. C. T. was good enough to exchange a new one though!.

I only bought this because Canadian Tire does not carry Mrs Myers Laundry soap in the scent Lemon Verbena anymore and it was also on sale. Although the price was excellent it does not give me the scent like the Mrs Myers did.

It’s got a very faint scent so if your scent sensitive, this may work for you. I would only buy this again if it was on sale. Although I don’t like heavy scents myself, Mrs Myers was the BEST I have ever used.

Encuentro que su poder de limpieza y desinfección es limitado. Para manchas difíciles hay que añadirle algo, yo aplico jabón de marsella en las manchas antes de ponerlas en la lavadora. Para desinfectar ropa de mascotas o con olores fuertes, añado vinagre.

Es cuestión de buscar la combinación de productos que te guste.

De vez en cuando las combino con el perfume de lavado cítrico aunque no es necesario. Cunden un montón ya que se pueden usar 3 nueces hasta en 3 lavados. Única pega, no quita manchas difíciles, como es normal.

I love these pants. I wore my first pair almost daily in the winter. They are very comfortable. The pockets have changed a bit in this version to a slightly different shape. They still work fine, but I preferred the square pocket shape.

Purchased for my teenage daughter, she loves them. They are the comfiest, softest leggings she has ever worn. Will definitely purchase again.

These leggings are thicker than your average pair but also aren’t too warm for being active. They are super comfy and now have two pairs.

I’m in love not only with this product but with this brand. It has no artificial colors fragrances or stain fighters. It’s plant powered! I recieved three free samples though their program. They advertise about testing on 60 stain types.

I can reassure you clothes I’ve had for years looked almost new ❣ the scent is light and so realistic is smells like a day at the spa. 😍🥰😍🥰💝 [brand:seventh-generation].

Honestly I got a few sample packs of these from a site back over the summer and I don’t think it’s that great. I’m not sure if it’s because I only had a few packs and maybe you need more to do a paid of clothes.

I did use 1 pack for one load then the second load I put the other 2 packs in it. Still didn’t do no justice. Not like other detergents. Even the cheap stuff Extra and Sun is better than this. I only gave it 3 stars because I love the idea of being clean and plant based.

But it didn’t do it for me. I will say though it didn’t make me itch. However, I would never purchase this detergent. I would recommend for maybe baby clothes that aren’t very soiled. Other than that it’s a no.
