Best Launcher For Lg G5 (2025 Updated)

I really am happy with my G6 phone. It offers a great deal of features that absolutely love. The camera takes great photo’s with the two lens, one for close objects one for far objects, plus it allows me to take rapped photo’s like a professional photographer.

I do have one issue though, I truly believe it’s an isolated issue with my particular G6 device. I keep getting an Bio error saying my USB port has detected moisture and cannot take a charge. I stated above I that I do believe this issue is with my device only.

Although I’ve returned my phone to LG three times the problem has not been resolved, but I do believe LG will do what’s necessary to resolve my issue. Over all I would highly recommend the LG G6.

The LG G5 is a wonderful device, I have just recently switched from the ZTE Axon Pro 64 Gb with the same QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution screen and I am astounded at the quality of the LG G5 screen. The colors are vibrant, and sharp with colors that are very accurate and bright.

The screen is 5. 3″ and very easy to watch movies, read text or play games. The Always-On Display is an excellent feature, with a very minimal drain on the battery throughout the day. The battery even though only 2800 mah is a fierce competitor when it comes to extended day use.

I have made it through a full day and still didn’t have to charge it until later on in the night, and this was with some heavy use in apps such as Facebook, Youtube, Spotify, Gmail, and games and that is with the Always-On Display on all day.

The removable battery is a plus with so many devices switching to non-removable battery, this gives you the ability to easily switch the batteries out when it is needed, especially handy for road trips.

The Snapdragon 820 CPU and Adreno 530 GPU is a wonderful combination that allows you to have a wonderful experience and runs very smoothly and efficiently. Games run wonderfully and the phone doesn’t seem to heat up like the Snapdragon 810 did.

The UI is very easy to learn with an optional app drawer if you switch your homescreen, otherwise your apps are there for you to easily get into. The upgrade to Android 7. 0 Nougat is excellent, with some new features in settings, such as themes.

The camera is where the LG G5 really shines, with 16MP/8MP dual shooter on the rear with OIS and stabilizer it can take wonderful photos. The ability to get a wide angle shot with the rear 8MP is wonderful and gives you a full view of your enviroment, the 16MP camera is a real winner when it comes to clarity and crisp color.

The front facing camera is an 8MP camera that is great in itself, you can say a number of catchphrases for the camera to take a selfie as well as gesture shots using your hand. Video recording is great with audio and picture, especially in 4k.

The speaker is very loud and easy to hear lower audio from videos, when it comes to the calls it is crisp and clear with speech easily understandable in call, have not had any problems from my end or the person on the other end.

I have not had a chance to try and friends(modules) out on this device, would love to try the B&O Hifi module as well as the Cam module and 360 and VR Headset module, I have also seen the remote ball that you can control when you are not home that has a camera and you can roll around to check on things such as animals and make sure everything is running smoothly at home.

I would love to spend some time with these, but overall this phone is a solid 10 with extended battery life, wonderful QHD screen as well as the rear shooter on the back. If you are in the market for a new smartphone I would venture over to the LG side of things and take a look at the high quality phones that they have made such as this one or the LG V20.

LG has done it again with the G5 Titan cellphone! Excellent quality at a reasonable price point, especially compared to it’s competition. Whether looking at function or it’s camera, size or durability, this phone can do it all.

Fantastic photos and video, tons of app availability, more than ample storage and ease of updating with excellent security features. After owning most of the top manufacturer’s similar units I can say that for the price and support this one’s got my vote! As an avid bird watcher and licensed amateur radio operator, I’m very pleased by my G5’s ability to be integrated with my needs.

Some cellphones seem to be a compromise between one good function or another, but LG’s G5 Titan really hits the mark by offering top quality throughout the phone’s functions. Photos simply Pop with color and crispness and detail.

Storage seems endless and the sound quality – whether in calls or playing music is clear and dynamic. Also, the user interface with the operating system are fantastic, the ability to control every aspect of every individual app and system function is very appealing.

My wife and I both have come to rely our G5’s superior quality and because of this have purchased other LG products with confidence and peace of mind. I highly recommend LG to anyone as a very worthwhile choice in cellphones and their other products and hope they help you enjoy all the aspects of the information age in the 21st century and beyond!.

I bought this phone after the G4 I owned suffered a boot loop failure less than a year after purchase. I was not thrilled with the gimmick nature of the G5 but was assured the quality was good and I like the removable battery and memory options.

After less than two years the battery swelled up inside the phone and could not be removed, a poor design. It has continued to swell bulging the screen out, destroying the phone from the inside. If LG’s idea is to build obsolescence into the phones to drive sales, it works, you are driving customers to buy someone else’s phones.

The G8 is another phone with useless gimmicks that do not perform well for the money. I would highly question that its build quality has been improved either. So what does it take? To start, how about dropping the gimmicks and improve the build quality and durability of the phones.

After that focus on having the best features people already enjoy, camera, video, sound, display. Once you have the best quality phones, then find “useful” features to add, I stress again “useful”. And please put the “on” button on the back of the phone again, you had it right the first time.

To do all of this, I recommend giving Casio a call and team up with them. They have expertise in build quality, cameras, sound systems, and they are not a phone competitor. They also offer smart watches with unique sensor technologies which you could could make compatible with you phones giving a boost to both companies ecosystems.

It’s sad to see the “collective wisdom” have failed so much with this amazing phone. Clearly LG is, as usual, ahead of times. I really can’t believe how “professional reviewers” are so fixated on trying to find supposed issues on this phone, instead of realizing how great it is.

The camera is great, the responsiveness is amazing, the updates with security patches keep coming (would be great to get Oreo, please don’t forget about us G5 users!), the display is just amazing. I could go on and on about how great this phone is.

I was a bit annoyed that the G6 got rid of the disposable battery, IMHO it was one of the BEST features of this phone, and it’s sad to see that LG had to bend to the “reviewers” that drove the G5 sales so low.

Too bad really, that they seem to “review” just to favor some competitors’ models (Too bad that I read the guidelines and I’m not able to point fingers to the other Korean manufacturer that seems responsible for those bad reviews.

jejejeje). Keep in mind, LG, that your ideas and implementations keep setting trends in the industry (knock on, buttons on the back, to names just two) Perhaps the only sub-flagship characteristic would be the battery life.

It definitely could be better, but considering that you can replace the battery for another, full charged one, and that the whole process of removing the battery, inserting another one and powering up the phone takes no more than 45 seconds, and also considering that the spare battery costs less than a set of earbuds, I’d say it can be a moot point.

To sum it up: LG, congratulations on an excellent phone. I’m really sorry that the biased reviews didn’t do justice to a great product, an amazing feat of engineering. I began to use your phones from the G2, and you have a completely loyal customer in me.

So far the operation of the product seems to have a few clothes but not enough for me to worry, YET! IE: flashlight will come on and go off without a setting prompting it to do so! My volume down never worked and at one point after setting my do not disturb button in my settings my phone would not stay powered on and I litteraly had to shut it down after numerous attempts to restart! It wasn’t untill the next day I had turned the device back on jumped to my settings and finally my LGG5 “Smart Phone” decided it was ready to start up again! I have not touched the do not disturb button since! Other than that its a great phone and most likely the better of the ones I had prior considering the rich and beautiful photos it takes along with all of the features to enhance them! My recomendation, Do get a extended warranty and do pay that extra penny to secure the life and warranty of your phone because take my word for it I wish I had! Its to late for me I’ve only owned the phone for 2 months and I screwed myself by not getting the warranty but because I never had any of the quirks from other phones that o do with this I kinda thought I would be even better off without it simply because of the name that I’ve always come to know and trust LG! I still do its just u learn your lesson once you get that one bad egg in the basket! Oh yeah and the screen scratches very easily! Get a screen saver! LG if u read these I love your products and I have a feeling I just got a bad phone and ill always own a LG phone after all you offer and the performance without the flaws are very exciting and the performance is amazing! I give the phones a 5 star but my phone gets a 3 star!.

I have owned both an LG3 and an LG4. The LG3 started having battery problems 3 or 4 months after I bought it, and could not hold a charge. When I tried to have it fixed I was informed it had ‘water damage’ and was thus not covered, even though none of the indicator circles inside had changed colour (indicates contact with water).

I was told that the damage it had suffered coincided with water damage, but as none of the indicators had changed colour it was likely caused by humidity. None of my other phones (not LG) have had this happen, even when I had a bad habit of leaving the phones in a poorly ventilated bathrooms while showering.

I have never in my life had to replace a broken phone, until now. I now have an LG4. Both phones are fine I suppose. They’re nothing fancy, they make and receive phone calls and allow me to play games and watch videos without much trouble.

The only main complaint I have about either phone is the keyboard and spellcheck function. I have never in my life produced so many typos as I do with the LG keyboards and I do not have large fingers.

I can carefully hit the ‘R’ key and it will type ‘T’. The spellcheck does not help either. I can type ‘Longet’ and it cannot figure out that the word is suppose to be ‘longer’. I type ‘Figue’ instead of ‘Figure’ and it recommends ‘Figues’ and ‘Fugue’.

as the correct spelling. Both are words, one is French. I do not speak or type or have any settings set up for French. I could keep going with examples. but in summary – it could be a good phone. Just make it more durable and fix the keyboard/spell check.

I came from iPhone 6 and was a little skeptical on the switch from iOS to Android, but this is definitely the choice smartphone to do so. The OS on this smartphone is outstanding. It is so smooth and simple to navigate.

I am beyond impressed. Secondly, the ability to swap out batteries is a huge selling point for me. I cannot tell you how many times I have swapped batteries on a long day at work. It is probably the best feature to a modern smartphone I could have ever asked for.

I am beyond impressed. Lastly, the cameras on this smartphone alone are worth the money. A gorgeous 16mp camera on the back delivers stunning, crisp photos with ease. There is also a wide angle lens capturing a mind blowing 135 degree angle.

And it is incredibly useful for photos where you can’t really back up enough for a full shot. I am beyond impressed. All in all it is one of the greatest smartphones I have ever owned. And did I mention.

Like some folks, I’ve gone through severals smartphones over the years. Personally, I like having the option of switching between two phones (a casual phone for personal use and a smaller “I don’t mind if I lose or break it phone” for work and play).

Just swap out the sim card between the two phones as needed. When shopping for my backup phone, the size and specs sold me: 5-inch screen (1,280×720-pixel resolution),16GB internal storage, 1. 5GB RAM and the MicroSD card support (up to 32GB) but the 2125mAh battery had me concerned.

I mean it doesn’t matter how good the overall specs are and phone performs, if your charge runs out, you’re screwed. As with other LG phones I’ve owned in the past, I really enjoy the Double Tap ON/OFF feature.

Just feel like a little larger battery would have been much more effective for the size and hardware. By the way, I know I have available options: purchase spare battery or plug it into to a cigarette light or outlet but it’s a slight inconvenience at times.

According to the phone’s battery usage, the screen sucks up around 48% and I have it set on 30% with a shut off time of 2 minutes. Have only had the phone for a week but I did play music on the MP3 player while cutting grass with headphones on for 3 hours, with a couple of 10 minute phone calls and 2 text messages and the battery dropped 40%.

Most days, I get online for roughly 10 minutes (youtube videos, 10 text messages and 40-60 minutes of phone calls). I’m not a gamer. Hopefully the phone will make it through the day with light use such as me.

As far as the camera goes. With mid to low lighting (with or without flash on) you’ll most like be disappointed. I’m not a big selfie taker but when I did with this phone, the quality was bad. Good lighting definitely makes a huge difference, much better.

Just would have expected a little better quality with 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. My other current phones are Alcatel Idol 3 and ZTE ZMAX 2. Both perform extremely well without having to back off on any battery sucking functions of the phone.

The ZTE ZMAX 2 is an excellent budget phone. Even purchased it at Walmart. Don’t know why they stopped carrying it? Just wish it was a little smaller size for my needs. Overall for a mid priced budget phone, the LG Phoenix is ok.

And it did fairly well two years running up until about 2018. The phone was phenomenal for a AT&T Go Phone (budget at its best). Using the phone in 2020 I’ve used as a backup until my new phone came.

Opening apps are really slow (past 30 secs) and that’s a long time to see an app opening and the battery(have 2 on standby) with moderate use goes out before an 8 hour shift so be prepared for that. The phone feels nice in the hand, never needed a case.

Calls are clear, 3g signal clear(no other signals available for this phone) and it fits right into my jeans. But like I said this was THE budget phone to have in 2016, 2017 and part of 2018!.

At $70, it’s hard to beat. The camera is probably one of the worst I’ve ever seen on a phone, but the display, hand feel and general operation are superb at this price point. NFC / Android Pay works well.

However, there is no ability to cast or connect to wireless displays. This means, no screen mirroring with Roku. The battery is very small and will discharge quickly, so keep a charger handy. 1. 5GB of RAM and Marshmallow 6.

0 work well together, as does LG’s “double-tap” to wake and rear-mounted volume and power buttons. Overall, you can tell this is a 2016 phone vs. a 2015 phone that’s been reduced in price. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending, especially if this is a 2nd (beater) phone.

Here are points from my usage: o Provides extra 1200mah battery. o Does not improve shooting experience much. For me boils down mainly to auto prefocus ability with a button. o When attached charges the phone even when it is completely full.

After that depletes and becomes unusable. Could not prevent from doing this. o Makes phone charging slow. Input max 500ma vs 1800ma without it. Worth playing with for the discounted price. Maybe useful but power banks are more versatile.

CBG 720 also works for Canadian H831 G5.

The CBG-720 is the AT&T variant for CAM PLUS. Not to be confused with the CBG-700 which works with almost all other carriers. This allows me to use a dedicated camera button and hold my phone in a more natural shooting position.

It works great and was immediately recognized by my ATT phone (H820). It also adds about 1000mah of battery life. For the price , it was a great dedicated camera option for vacation, birthday party , etc.

Due to the bulk I won’t be using it full time, only when I plan on taking lots of pictures.

This camera grip / battery pack does its job but I have a few issues with it. The zoom wheel is too “loose” and I often bump it accidentally, causing me to switch between cameras on the G5 when I don’t mean to.

Also, sometimes the slide button to turn on the camera doesn’t respond to the first press. Also it seems that the half-press on the shutter button always focuses in the center of the frame, which is not very useful.

All in all, at a steeply discounted price, it is worth a try if you think you might like it.

This Product gives some quick camera functionality and a little bit of extra battery juice. To people already swapping batteries instead of plugging in this is of little help. You cannot charge it outside your phone.

and when its fully charged it slowly discharges keeping your battery reading at 100% until gone then discharges your swap-able battery. Creates a little awkwardness in the way its weighted and would be much better with a 20-30 dollar price tag.

When you purchase the cam plus modular friend for your lg g5 be sure its the version that’s compatible with your LG G5 phone. I have the AT&T unlocked lg g5 and this friend works great. And the price and shipping time cannot be beat.

The protected The temporary glass that you gave me was too small for my phone is a Galaxy plus 20G5. And also the case that you sent me for my phone is too small and it won’t fit my phone I turned around in sent back the case and paid the mailing the other stuff I just threw it away I was so upset.

The tempered glass was easy and works great the case however I cannot plug the charging cord into the phone with the case on it.

Much better than what the wireless provider had to sell me – and a fraction of the price too! Thank you so much!

I care for my devices, and never drop, but I feel this cover to be enough to protect the LG G5 from an eventual drop. The side volume up/down button is a little bit hard to control, it could be more flexible, you really need to press hard to make volume up/down.

Other than that, I am satisfied with the cover. It is thin, fashion (back) and looks professional, nothing fancy or too “teen”. I would buy as a gift for a friend (please solve the volume up/down flexibility).

So i got the case and after putting it on and of 2 times the hard plastik in the bottom broke. Now you might ask why take it of? Well let me tell you why. The hole on the botom don’t fitt most chargers so you have to take the case of if you need to charge the batery on the phone.

Quite important if you ask me. However the broken plastic doesn’t make the case less efektive in protekting the phone.

Good solid case with great protection and fit. Volume buttons are very stiff, hard to press.

Is thin and stylish or not cumbersome. May not withstand as hard a blow as some heavier ones.

I really like the case I was scared to purchase it on eBay since I like buying things I can see physically but took a chance and glad I got it

So I bought the cover to see what the official design is. I’m well aware of everything that’s available on the market, I wanted to try something ‘genuine’ and ‘original’, thinking that LG would have put thought into making it.

It is well made, using thin plastic, that feels rugged nevertheless. However it doesn’t offer protection on the upper, left and bottom sides of the phone, as they are exposed. When you snap the cover on the G5, the phone would automatically detect it and switch the always-on display function on, which drains my battery a lot more than without the cover.

Like 30% more per day which makes HUGE difference in the phone life.

Great stuff here. Fits tight, no slipping. Better than remakes. Tough plastic and a good front panel protector makes a very durable and protective case. One bonus is info screen show clear activities without need to open.

Having bought this case, I wouldn’t buy it again. 3 reasons 1. With the front open you can’t use the camera because the flap obscures the camera lens!!! 2. The flap won’t stay closed 3. Very overpriced It’s an official LG product and yet you can’t use the camera with the flap folded open.

because “charging the battery” in the form of replacing it takes less than a minute. In addition, an empty battery can be charged outside the phone. After charging, the box can act as a power bank. Revelation!.

I was surprised when the battery kit arrived. It’s really a power bank. I think it’s too expensive for what it is, I felt that I could of bought a more powerful power bank for a fraction of the cost of this battery kit.

Nice to have backup when needed simple to swop and charges battery quickly..

After half an hour of use at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the camera becomes like burning coal, overheats and turns off. The video is crashing. The video quality is terrible – everything is soapy and noisy even in good lighting conditions.

Sent it back for a replacement. If they send the same illiquid – I will hand over and return the money. A nightmare. Every year gopro is made worse and worse.

Pretty good phone case for the price. My last one broke after a year so I decided to try this one and it’s not bad. A little light weight but seems to take falls well enough. After a fall you gotta make sure it’s still clicked together because sometimes it comes apart on 1 side.

I’d give this phone a 7/10. Not the best phone case but far from the worst. You get what you paid for but I’m happy with it overall.

It’s TUFF, it’s kindof bulky (I’ve seen worse) and streamlined at the same time. My phone is so pretty and delicate-looking, I can’t stand the thought of breaking it, and my life-style is pretty on-the-move, so I know it’s going to take a few flyers in its lifetime.

The goal is to make it survive as long as it can. I think this is going to help with that. My blue phone looks snazzy through the clear-ish case, and all the buttons and holes lineup in the right place.

(Okay, it’s heavy-ish, but not at the top weight in the range. Don’t expect sleek. ).

This phone case was shipped to me in about 3 days. The estimate was in about 7-10 days and I was amazed how fast I received it. The actual color is a baby pink, which I am not upset about it. It feels really nice and I love the way it fits my phone.

The product was oem and exact fit. It was slim and light weight.
