20 Best Launch Monitor For Net (2023 Updated)

So to start – I am an amateur musician. I use Cubase, not Ableton so actually wanted this for its programmable MIDI features to control virtual instruments – which it does with exceptional ease due to the Novation Components software (more on this later).

Build quality – this is a solid bit of kit, the knobs and sliders (65 mm) all feel really good with a bit of resistance so you wont knock your set up by mistake. I got it mostly for the sliders, which are longer throw than alternatives (e.

g. Korg NanoKontrol 2/ Studio), which I wanted for expression control. There is a rubberised bottom so it wont slip anywhere. The control knobs are not continuous, but 300 degrees, which is more than enough for my needs.

Feature-wise its got most things covered. 8 user set ups and 8 factory. Many DAWS have a factory set up built-in so it works for sends and channel control in your mixer panel right out of the box. It has been specifically optimised for Ableton though, so if you’re in that, then I have heard it is a dream.

The thing that makes this more than just an Ableton control surface is the Novation Components software – every slider and dial can be set up as you wish for any MIDI CC function and the 16 buttons at the bottom can be assigned as notes.

I have set-ups stored for control of orchestral libraries (expression, dynamics, vibrato, key switches, etc). This is really easy to do and you can save up to 8 of these profiles on the device itself.

I would have given this 4. 5 stars if I could. The only drop is that its USB-B (all my other devices are USB C, so an extra cable needed, and the buttons are not fully colour chooseable, so I cant match them to other kit colour codes on my desk for set ups.

I recently bought a Lowrance HDS Live 9” unit to replace a Lowrance HDS Gen 3 unit on my saltwater bay boat. After one trip to the Gulf of Mexico, I am pleased with the HDS Live unit and how Fish Reveal works.

It was quite easy to target fish on submerged rigs with the 3 in 1 transducer so I will give this unit a rating of 5! However, my rating for Lowrance is at best a 3 based on the lack of support from Lowrance technical staff! I have owned Lowrance / Eagle units since 1981 starting with the paper graphs.

Most of my units ran great but I did have significant problems with a few sonars and the support from Lowrance was less than acceptable!!! I will only discuss my HDS Gen 3 unit in this review. Beginning last year, my HDS Gen 3 unit started having sonar issues for both chirp and down imaging.

The sonar would stop working or just index at a slow rate plus periodic touch screen problems. I was able to resolve issue sometimes with soft / hard resets / touch screen recalibration. I finally called Lowrance technical support.

The technician told be my transducer had failed and it needed to be replaced. Based on my internet research, I absolutely did not believe this was the problem and I was able to evaluate the HDS Gen 3 unit on my other boat confirming that the HDS Gen 3 unit was the problem, not the transducer! I also visited a local dealer in SW Arkansas to confirm my thoughts, too.

This HDS Gen 3 unit was bought in September 2016 as part of a Skeeter Bay Boat purchase. I was extremely disappointed that this unit failed in 5-6 years. My expectation was for this unit to run for many years without any problems.

I have other Lowrance units that run 10 times the hours of the HDS Gen 3 unit without any problems. I am extremely disappointed with Lowrance technical support, and this is something you should consider before buying a Lowrance system.

I considered Humminbird and Garmin but chose Lowrance because of their reputation. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Support from Lowrance is simply nonexistent. On trying to pair my Power Poles ( as Lowrance advertised as a feature) I had issues.

I have worked in IT and Telecom for over 30 years so I should have found this easy. I followed written and YouTube instructions and it didn’t work. After two hours on the phone I was transferred to Level 2 Support.

After 45 minutes on the phone with them I was asked “What brand of Power Pole are you trying to connect?”. I told them that I was trying to connect the only brand that Lowrance will interface with but the model is a Blade.

Over three hours in I gave up. The Live mapping is FAR WORSE than anything on the market. I had and used Insight Genesis service. I have a Humminbird Helix 7 ($600) that is far better than this $3400 HDS Live.

The HDS units sow 8’ contour lines over the top of shore lines that are 4’ out of the water (zoom into photos). If Lowrance had tested this on the water for 10 minutes they would know the Live mapping is not ready for release.

They advertise the ability to interface your cell phone. It works but they don’t tell you that you cannot respond to text messages if you have an iPhone. To their credit: the side imaging is very good.

Fish reveal is very good and makes the most of the available screen size. As the industry leader Lowrance should hold themselves to a higher standard. People work hard for money that these graphs cost and they deserve a working product that has good support.

I’m a golf teaching professional and loving this product. I wish I had one years ago. I’m able to fine tune my golf swing and make tweaks with such high precision that my practice sessions improve my game much faster than ever before.

Also, with teaching students it’s even more powerful. I purchased the Pro Package along with the extra power pack (for playing longer). So far, the battery on this radar lasts me 2. 5 to 3 hours and with the power pack I can go an additional 4 hours without recharging.

If you understand D plane and ball flight numbers, the Pro Package is a MUST. That turns this radar into a darn near Trackman machine (with comparable accuracy). I had a club fitting with a Trackman, and my numbers were so close I couldn’t tell the difference between the products.

It’s also very addicting to practice with this device, and the e6 connect software allows you to play golf courses. It’s way too much fun. I wanted a device that could accurately measure my swing and be used as an outdoor/indoor simulator.

This device does all of that and more.

For the money, I would give Sky Trak a 4 star review for the actual simulator. It works well with my IOS and has nice graphics. I think it is challenging to align and keep aligned. That said, when it is aligned I find it to be very accurate and it matches my on course distances and shot shapes.

It does not record about 2% of my shots. My biggest issue with Sky Trak is the parent company Sky Golf. They have a very outdated account portal and their accounting practices might be illegal. Sky Trak requires the purchase of e6 software through them instead of directly through Tru Golf, the developer of e6.

The annual contract is $645. Last year, I renewed my contract 1 ½ months early on Sept 7 instead of on the expiration date of 10/23. Last week I went to play on e6 but my account was no longer authorized.

Sky Golf resets annual expiration dates to match the purchase date, even on renewals. So, because I renewed early I lost 1 ½ months of my $645 contract. Sky Golf confirmed this practice when I called to complain.

Furthermore, I learned That if you buy a subscription as a gift, the authorization starts on the purchase date not when the authorization code is applied to the software. Their representative was unwilling to give me a 1 1/2 month credit and stated that its just the way they do things.

Beware, Sky Golf will fleece you of subscription fees at every turn. I give Sky Golf 0 stars on their accounting practices.

I dont know a whole lot about launch monitors, but I did research for a while before I settled on this one. It seems to work great. When I played my first round, I was like what?!? My hits were not going as far as I thought they should.

Then I realized it was calculating more than just my swing. Wind, height, etc was all calculated in, so it is a little more realistic. Heres the catch you should think about prior to purchase. The monitor requires a yearly subscription.

Look it up first prior to buying. Also, the iPad and Mac is not compatible with all uses. If you want certain programs like E6 or golf2019, you will need a computer. I started out thinking I could create a super cheap but precise sim with the skytrak, and I came to the realization that it is not as cheap as I had hoped.

In conclusion, if you want accuracy and dont mind paying out of pocket, this is perfect. If you want cheap and dont care too much about precision, go with optishot. Optishot is super cheap to build sim.

Personally, I want precision and to better my game. If you are the same, go with this. Just be ready to pay. (Unless you only want the range. That comes free) The extra out of pocket is why I gave this a 4 star.

I wish it came with a few courses. If it did, and it was also more compatiblewith Mac, it would have gotten a 5.

The SkyTrak has been really fun and I’ve only really used like 20% of the functionality. I went with the SkyTrak with protective case (must have) and the 9’x9′ Preferred Finished Golf Impact Screen. I can only imagine the premium screen is incredibly nice because the preferred looks and works great.

It can easily fold and roll up. I was concerned that the preferred screen wouldn’t be thick enough to absorb shots well, but not the case at all. Just give the net about a foot or so behind of room to absorb the shot impacts.

The screen also doesn’t make as loud of an impact sound as I expected. Reading reviews for other impact screens, that seemed like a big issue for some. Not the case with the preferred. Doesn’t even really make a sound at all.

Overall very happy with my purchase and can’t wait to spend countless hours in the garage getting better.

If you want a monitor that is fully adjustable – up/down, side to side, tilt and pan, than this is it. It was also great for me because it had a VGA socket as well as HDMI, so it was easier to plug and play for me without having to completely disassemble my computer desk set up.

Also if you want USB outlets on your monitor (I find them so much easier to reach than those on my CPU) this is also an excellent choice. It actually has four USB ports (downstream) two on the side and two in the back, so I put some of things (like my Fitbit dongle) in one of the back ports, so that I can leave it in all the time, and still have two open ports easily accessible on the side for jump drives and external hard drive backups.

Only been using it for a few weeks, but am very happy with it. Like the almost nonexistent bezels on sides and top much more visible screen than my old 22 inch. It took a little bit to get used to the anti-blue light – makes the screen a tad yellower with white backgrounds, but it is more restful.

I am not a gamer, and being retired I no longer use it for work tasks, mostly just to stream video, read the news, e-mail, social media, and manage family finances, etc. It works just fine for all those things, and is a good size for me, any larger and I’d have to move my head too much back and forth.

It does what it is supposed to do, flawlessly. No missing pixels were detected. Color, brightness, had to be slightly adjusted. However, they were perfectly usable to the non-critical user (that would be me).

I have one complaint that it was difficult to find this model. A silver/black version was listed, but I had to use the chat option to find an all-black version. The chat person said it was only available to commercial users, However, I obtained the part number from him and was able to order it even though it is for my personal use.

There are less expensive 24″ monitors but based on my experience with Dell hardware the few extra dollars are well spent and my experience thus far (one week) has proven that to be true.

I cant find anywhere in the settings where you can set the 75mhz refresh rate. Also the colour was not as good as expected. But then MSI sent me some instructions on how to adjust the colour settings using the Nvidea (graphics card) settings and it was much better but still not as good as my laptop monitor.

I think it has something to do with pixel density not being as good. Even though this has two speakers, it sounds crackly and awful. Its a nice curved screen though. To be honest, I dont know if this is just typical for the price I paid.

The Design is topnotch, the color is almost accurate(This monitor i found better in this price point), PPI is also good, it emits less blue light. for programming it is really nice and productive for me.

Most of the time i am infront of the monitor so it affects less in my eyes. The internal sound should be improved and type-c should be included in future models.

I upgraded my Samsung sa300 series 60hz monitor to this alienware beast!!! I love it! Out of the box I didn’t do much calibration and it was already silky with rich colors and super smooth. For my hardware needs my computer can only output such high frames at 1080p.

So I’m really happy I didn’t go for the 2k dell monitor that everyone keeps suggesting. Always try to remember the screen is only good depending on what your computer can output for games. For high-end AAA games I can only average around 100-120 fps.

But older games that I still play like left 4 dead 2 and rocket league I’m getting around 200fps+ and it’s awesome! Dell was very good at reimbursing me a 25 dollar credit. My shipping kept getting delayed so I contacted them with the inconvenience from taking time off to be home for my shipment and that is what they gave me.

Anyhow. I love my monitor and even though it is only 1080p, the silky colors and smooth gameplay make this monitor worth it! Just know I don’t upgrade monitors for years to come unless I have an issue with it.

Well this net simply doesn’t disappoint. I don’t normally say size isn’t everything but on this occasion it really is. I love thumping my driver as hard as I can and this net takes a great pleasure in collecting and releasing my balls.

As nets go this one looks like it was born to be a professional. It’s got holes in it wglhich is great and poles that keep it sturdy. The target makes a terrific womp when you hit it. You know what, I’m gonna go outside again now smash a few more pills into my professional golf net.

Impressed with the quality and fairly easy to put up and down… once I found a YouTube video on how to do it. Initial build took me about 10 mins, but now the net is on the frame it only takes a few mins to set up.

Comes with a nice bag to pack everything away if you don’t plan on leaving it set up. As I said, the quality of the net and frame is very good and can’t see it wearing out anytime soon. The hitting mat that’s comes with it is ok and will get you going, but I do plan on purchasing a better driving range mat for a better experience.

I’m currently using a square piece of fake grass to stand on as I was wearing the grass with my feet.

Item arrived in very poor condition, box was very damaged with no outer protective packaging. It had also been pre-opened and was missing the outer straps keeping the box together – only indentations where they should have been.

Box was in very poor condition with a lot of old discoloured packing tape holding the box together. One of the spring buttons of the connecting tube was also broken in half, which is probably why the item already appeared secondhand and had most probably been returned previously.

Not happy at all with my purchase and am returning the item for a refund.

This monitor does everything I’m asking it to do. With the built in KVM I use two laptops, one with USB C and the other HDMI, and the monitor will automatically switch between the two as I put one to sleep and wake up the other.

If I choose, it can be manually switched them also if I elect not to put them to sleep. The thing to be aware of is the monitor’s HDMI is 2. 2 which can be changed to support 1. 4, which needed to be done for it to work with an older laptop.

The HDMI 1. 3 KVM had to be discarded as it didn’t work with it at all, but it is outdated technology and with he built in KVM I don’t miss the old KVM at all. The image projected on the screen is sharp and crisp and the color, in my opinion is great.

It’s wide enough to have Word or Outlook opened on one half of the screen and PowerShell or another app on the other half. My concern when purchasing it was the size. it replaced an old 2006 Dell 27 inch 9:10, would it fit in its place? It is a bigger screen but since it’s a border less screen it fit very well where 27 inch was.

I would definitely buy it again if another one was needed. Recommend it to anyone looking for a new monitor especially if you have two computers and want to use one between them.

I think this monitor is a good deal (I got in on slight sale) versus equivalent LG or Dell monitors (UHD 32″), and physically much more attractive (professional, and none of that disgusting “Apple-white/silver” that others seem to favor, pretending to be Apple).

Picture quality and feature set are good. The stand is pretty slick, with perfect spring mounting so it moves up and down effortlessly. The hub functionality is decent, and would cost maybe $100 more with other leading manufacturers.

I am a little disappointed in two things, and unfortunately had to take off one star. 1. The USB drives are really 2. 0 rather than 3. 1, as the listing claims. As seen in Lenovo’s response to another complaint in these comments, you are able to achieve 3.

0 if you reduce the refresh to 30Hz, and otherwise the usb-c (3. 0) doesn’t have the bandwith to carry both signals. That was a big disappointment, and means you cannot connect a USB 3. 0 drive, for example, to the hub.

It’s not terrible though, and now I just use it for webcam, mic, kb, mouse, and speakers (yes, I also use a splitter). I think at minimum this shouldve been clarified in the description, and better yet the usb-c shouldve been improved to 3.

2 to give it the bandwith for all this. 2. The phone holder doesnt fit my phone!!! I have a OnePlus 8 pro that simply doesn’t fit. What an oversight, that makes this otherwise slick innovation completely useless for me.

Again, what are we coming to, are we assuming everyone only has a tiny iphone??? Bigger phones are much better, and they’re only going to get bigger from here. There was no reason to make the phone holder limited in length, it should go across the entire base instead of just 60%.

If you have to think of it this way, give me an “ipad holder” instead. And BTW, I thought of this ahead of time and searched hard for the holder size, but couldn’t find it anywhere. Another mark against the marketing materials.

Pretty neat screen. It is wayyy expensive, but I’m not sad I spent the money. The base/stand is incredibly sturdy and holds at all angles. I’ve had a competing screen before with the cover that doubles as the stand.

The ThinkVision is much better. It’s actually a real quality piece. Feels well constructed and not cheap in any way. Beyond ascetics and perceived quality, what can I say? I’m not much of a techie so color range and resolution and stuff that you use to measure monitors I don’t think much about.

The touch screen works as expected. Never felt the need to explore the screen menus as it’s plug-n-play for me and works every time. I use this when I have to host multi-hour Teams meetings away from my desk (conference room, home, hotel, etc).

Using this screen as the shared content screen is great, and the pass through USB-C power works great and is handy as my work dell has very few ports. Only things negative to say are this: 1) Wish the usable screen were taller, it’s not too narrow, but it definitely feels shorter than normal? Could just be me.

2) I wish the screen had a spot for the pen! It works so well with the pen, but I would love a little loop or magnet or something so it could attach and not have to be either in the loop on the case or just resting on the table.

0 hub adds additional USB ports to the bottom of each monitor + A standard power plug (this makes it easier to plug into battery backups vs. some monitors which use large, bulky plugs) + Clean and professional design + Back-lighting is a nice surprise, but it can be disabled if desired + 100mm VESA mount CONs: – IPS panel somewhat limited in contrast range, no truly black blacks (you’ll need to go high-end if you want this, such as an expensive OLED monitor) – OSD Menu buttons are on the back right side which is fine until you have it mounted onto a multi-display monitor stand (making the left monitor harder to adjust) – HDR peak brightness is only HDR400, although what do you expect at this price point? – Screen panels seem a bit prone to scratches and cracks; be careful when adjusting these not to press against them too hard – No audio (this isn’t really a con for me, since I have other audio options, but it may be for you) – Only 1-year limited warranty For the price, this monitor is a pretty top-notch monitor.

I purchased two of these and they are sharp and clear with mostly good color rendition (maybe they need to be calibrated?). These are G-Sync compatible, which is a plus for anyone with Nvidia graphics, although this only works over DisplayPort, not HDMI.

The menu system is very nice, although this leads to one of my complaints — the buttons on the back of the monitor are right aligned, so if you mount the monitor side by side, the monitor on the left is harder to adjust the OSD menu.

The USB Hub is a very nice inclusion here, and an unexpected one. I was not aware of this before purchasing, but it provides extra USB 3. 0 ports. This makes it easier to plug in peripherals as needed.

The 165Hz refresh rate is great, although not quite as obvious as the adjustment from 60Hz to 144Hz. Once you’ve tried a refresh rate 144Hz and above, it’s hard to go back. Cursor moves are smoother on the screen, and everything feels more responsive.

At full resolution of 2540 x 1440, text and icons do appear very small (I had to adjust Windows to 125% magnification to compensate). At 27″, this is about as high a resolution as I would go. If you want a 4k monitor, I would definitely recommend a larger screen size too.

The extra resolution does make graphics sharper and also provides extra screen real estate for applications. Overall, these are a welcome upgrade from my previous LG monitors. Dell is a consistent manufacturer of computer peripherals, and I am rarely disappointed by what they produce.

Solid construction, great picture quality, and a good price point makes these hard to pass up. Highly recommended!.

Pros: Easy to attach cuff. Clear screen and good memory functions. Cons: Not as accurate as hoped for. As with many automated BP monitors it gives variable readings. Probably because to cuff gets much tighter than a manual cuff.

Initially the 1st reading is higher than expected. It is advisable to take 2 or 3 readings a few minutes apart. The GP nurse advised this method, then to take the lowest reading or average of the three.

I replaced an old tester with very basic functions, I found out I needed 3 off tests to get an average, this machine calculates the average of three tests automatically. It also indicates any possible other medical problems that might be of some relevance.

Not cheap at approximately £50, but I feel I am getting correct readings.

I have only had this monitor for a short time, but so far it is met all my expectations. I was looking for a new monitor upgrade to support 1440p gaming and after hours of research including reading and watching reviews, this model repeatedly emerged as a top contender.

I certainly could have went with it’s smaller (and decidedly excellent) 27-inch cousin, but for the price I treated myself to the 32-inch. The cost was a bit of an extravagance, yes, but not unreasonably so.

The build quality is high, and setup was easy and quick, with HDMI, DisplayPort, power cable and the monitor-to-computer USB cable all included and saving me that extra bit of shopping or scrounging.

I did anticipate that I would have to tinker with the settings for the best viewing experience, but to my surprise this was not so. Whether this was due to factory defaults or an enterprising technician somewhere along the way, I do not know, but it was appreciated.

All in all, the monitor has done exactly what I have needed it to do. As stated, setup was a breeze, largely in part to the versatility of viewing angle, larger screen-size and height adjustment. The rotating feature is also neat, though I currently do not use it, but it is nice to have the option should I ever need it.

While others may disagree, the unit really does not have a huge footprint. The legs are well-placed and have a notably degree of clearance for cables and cord if needed, while providing a very stable platform.

This combined with convenient USB hub and “cable hook” — I cannot really call the latter “cable management” — allowed me to greatly improve my space efficiency. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a solidly built, versatile gaming monitor that delivers excellence performance.

I purchased this monitor as a secondary monitor after good experiences with other LG monitors, including the GL850 that this product is a refresh of. The panel quality is good, with minimal backlight bleed and no other display issues as far as I can tell, but there are two massive issues with this product that make it near unusable.

1. (Minor issue) LG has taken to providing a very short power adapter with the main power supply electronics in a large box at the wall plug (as opposed to either an internal power supply or one with cables coming out of each end).

This makes the monitor take up significantly more space than it should on power bricks and required a rerouting of my monitor power because of how short the cable is. 2. (MASSIVE ISSUE) Like some other LG monitors, this product has a broken implementation of “Deep Sleep” or DDC/CI, meaning that no matter what you do, when you turn off the monitor it will act as though it was disconnected, meaning that when you wake it back up, all your windows are moved and you get popups related to G-Sync.

This is *every time* it gets turned off, even with all related updates installed. This is extremely annoying and often means that waking my computer up from sleep takes 45-60 seconds, exclusively because I have to wait for this monitor to reconnect while my screens all flash repeatedly.

With this issue fixed, this monitor would be a 5/5 (like its predecessor). Without it, it’s entirely unusable.

I bought this to replace a way more expensive LG 34” 21:9 144HZ monitor that I just couldn’t get the frame rate I wanted (144) with two RTX 2080 Super Hydro Coppers. So with this monitor I am getting 165 frame rate a 165HZ no OC and 1 RTX 2080 Super Hydro Copper.

With video cards be way overpriced these days (stupid) a good monitor great Frame Rate and HZ balance is a must and LG has it pegged with this bad boy! Playing Call of Duty Vanguard the colors can be washed out and hard to see the other players unless you use NVIDA Experience which carries a lot of baggage, but with this monitor all I have to do is go into settings change from gamer1 to HDR like and you are not putting the monitor in HDR you just adjusting the colors and in game everything is brilliant.

You can see your enemies so clearly. With this new monitor the crosshairs stay in I do not have to turn them on every Time I turn the monitor on and I love that! Right out of the box super easy to set up.

I did purchase a longer DP cable and made sure it was capable so no issues there. LG awesome job. The one thing I wish could get better is G-Sync. If it was true G-Sync the game would be so much smoother.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this drum monitor a 10. The sound reproduction from the bass drum all the way up to hi-hats sounds great. I use this monitor with my Yamaha digital drums and I am very happy with it.

I have previously run my drums through a Randall half stack which I would give a 10 for my guitar however I would give it a 2 for playing back drums, I also previously ran my drums through a Crate 15″ bass amp which I would give a 10 for my bass and about 6 for my drums.

I also tried one other drum monitor before this one which was Simmons DA200S which at least on paper looked superior with its 12″ woofer two 6 1/2″ mid ranges and two 2 1/2″ tweeters and 200 watt power (compared to Roland’s one 10″ woofer and 2″ tweeter and 80 watt power).

The Simmons DA200S sounded great in the mid to upper range however sounded distorted on the floor tom and bass drum and furthermore it had an intermittent buzzing sound so I returned it. The Roland PM-100 doesn’t look as good on paper however it sounds a world better.

It sounds clean and accurate with no distortion and it has great dynamic range. It also has no noticeable background hiss or buzzing. It seems plenty powerful for someone who wants to play drums at home or possibly with a garage band.

The pros are sound quality and it appears to be very well made. The only con would be it does not have balanced XLR line outs if someone wanted to hook it up to a PA.

Based on detailed research, I selected the OMRON 10 BP monitor for two reasons: (1) as a former marketer in the medical device industry, I know that OMRON is considered the top company in the BP monitor market; and (2) the reviews on the OMRON 10 model were very positive, especially for accuracy of readings.

Office Depot is a great company and they sent me the monitor in double fast time. The OMRON 10 was well packaged and in great condition upon arrival at my home. Take m word for it – the OMRON 10 is very easy to set up.

You can do it. It can be powered up either by batteries (included) or by connecting it directly to a power source using a USB port. Let me interject here that I specifically purchased the OMRON 10 model because I could power up the unit directly to an electrical outlet.

Many BP monitors are battery-only devices. The operational controls are pretty easy to figure out however OMRON provides a very readable User Manual with lots of diagrams and illustrations. First you need to use the User Manual to set the correct date (a bit tricky) on the machine and review how to wear the BP cuff on your upper arm.

I am a very detailed guy – make that super detailed – so I try to create the same experience every time I measure my BP and pulse. Therefore, I sit erect in my office chair (purchased from Office Depot), left arm resting on my printer at heart level, play Tibetan meditation music and remain relatively motionless while taking my readings.

I then record my readings on an Excel spreadsheet in great detail. This record includes the date and time of the reading, BP and pulse results, and notes of interest (i. e. , just finished a meal, felt heart palpitations, exercised an hour before, or just wok up, etc.

). Keeping this type of detailed “diary” can possibly be of help to your physician. May I add that I discussed purchasing a BP monitor with my cardiologist beforehand and asked what brand he would recommend.

He advised me to purchase an OMRON BP monitor. So, in my experience, setting up the OMRON 10 in my home office next to the computer and printer makes the entire process (taking the BP readings; seat position during readings; calming music; and recording my results with notes) very convenient for systematically controlling the experience.

As an MBA with an emphasis on statistics and quantitative data analysis, I certainly “feel” that the OMRON 10 is giving me pretty accurate readings. Why? I try to take 5-6 readings in a row when I feel the urge to do so.

In this way I can get a feel for how consistently the OMRON 10 is measuring my BP and pulse. In this regard I am not seeing any wild swings in data metrics being recorded. That makes me “feel” that the readings are solid.

Second, my range of BP and pulse metrics are similar to readings (both high BP readings and normal, low BP readings) that have been taken in my physician’s office and Urgent Care during my AFIB episodes.

So I am not seeing any really unusual BP or pulse readings at home. I do plan to take my OMRON 10 to my physician’s office and take some readings on it while a nurse takes concurrent readings with the more expensive BP monitors in the office to do a “quality control check” just to see if my OMRON 10 is reading low, high, or the same as the physician’s BP monitor.

In conclusion, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the OMRON 10 BP monitor. It cost approximately $110 and I feel that it is worth every penny. The OMRON 10 feels like a high quality BP monitor.

I trust the results and, in the end, that is all that matters. If you need a high quality BP monitor and your emotional and physical health requires data that you can trust, I would strongly recommend purchasing the OMRON 10 blood pressure monitor.

I have an older Omron that has been very reliable now for many years – despite multiple use every day by two people. The old Omron appears to only now need a new rubber seal for the cuff hose connection, but I just decided it would be smarter to purchase a new one after so many years of use.

Like the new Omron, the older Omron also recorded every measurement for two people every day and won’t lose the memory – if the batteries aren’t installed and the wall connection is disconnected. I never install the batteries anyway unless there is a power outage.

Who has used it? A 70 year man and his 99 year old mother. Both of us have had serious heart health issues for many years. The Omron has alerted us to heart health issues before they could become fatal or cause more heart damage by alerting us to seek emergency room treatment and hospitalization quickly – and only when one of us has actually needed to be there.

Multiple, including more expensive, other brand monitors I have had were never as reliable as my first Omron. Having now used the new series 10 model Omron, I have found it to be even easier to use than the older Omron (my heart doctor recommended purchasing my first Omron years ago as a replacement).

The new Omron’s cuff is now easier to adjust on the arm due to its formed, snug, clamping style as you put it on and attach the Velcro closure. Using the Omron three multiple readings average feature, we have always used, allows averaging your blood pressure with one turn on of this machine which is the same as the older machine – instead of relying on just one quick reading or having to use the memory to get an average of the three last individual readings.

We both used this feature on the older Omron, but it required sitting still longer. This new Omron allows you to set the interval between the three readings as needed – starting with as short as fifteen second intervals.

Another thing very important to me, as I also have severe arthritis, is the older machine’s cuff would slide around on my arm as I tried to snug and attach it onto my arm with the Velcro – taking much more time, and causing aggravation when painful arthritis levels limit my arm and shoulder movement.

The new machine is also less confusing as there are fewer buttons to press on the front panel (even inadvertently) and it displays the previous average reading with the new average for faster comparison – without pressing additional buttons to go into the machine memory.

This is very important to me when I’m having to take my. 4mg. nitro tabs. The new Omron’s setup for date and time was different from the older one, but I found the supplied instructions covered every feature of operation easily and perfectly.

FYI: Don’t forget to take your blood pressure readings on both the left and right arm during a high reading event. My poor circulation during such events causes a lower reading in my left arm – where the actual high heart reading will show on the right arm.

This little machine is extremely finicky and will make your blood pressure go up with just how frustrating it is. If your arm is even a tiny bit in the “wrong” position, it will flat out refuse to take a reading.

My arm was only slightly too low and it took me forever to figure out what the problem was. The Bluetooth pairing is also pretty frustrating because on my phone it will constantly say “not connected” and after 5 minutes of trying to make it pair the current reading will pop up on the app and I don’t know how it does, but sure.

Also I hate the cuff. I literally have bruises on my arm from it. It is so hard to line up in the correct spot on your arm. This machine was not made for people with chunky arms like mine. It will latch on to your arm and if you try to adjust it to the right position, then good luck.

I hope you have concealer to cover up the bruises.

The G80 GPS screen is excellent to use, responsive and clear during the daylight. The distance is super accurate as well (Checked with Bushnell laser). I’m excited to get to the range and use the training aid features given the GPS and maps side of the tool work so well.

Golfbox had this to me in 2 days, super happy with the price and the speed of delivery!.

It’s obviously not a full trackman style product but provides good solid information to help develop steady, repetitive golf swing figures. The course GPS is also very good although hardly any courses in my area appear with the white surrounds often used on Garmin advertising.

This makes it a little trickier to make out the fairway shapes when using the Garmin in bright lighting conditions. I did bring this up with Garmin but it fell on death ears.

Very easy to set up and use. The launch monitor function is great for making practice sessions at the range much more informative. On the course the GPS function is so easy to use and very accurate. Perfect if you don’t want to wear a GPS watch.

The holster is on my caddie at all times and was simple to fit using the kit provided. Overall the quality of the Garmin equipment is well worth the money.

This past Christmas Santa delivered exactly what I was wishing for; a Swing Caddie Launch Monitor. It has all the key features I need to help improve my game in a relatively inexpensive easy to use device.

You just place the SC200 behind your ball and swing. After each swing the device will audibly give shot carry. If I want more info I can just look at the display and read swing speed, ball speed and smash factor.

I really like the voice feature as I can just tee up another ball and whack away again without having to bend down and check the display. You can select the club you’re using so that you get the correct loft and associated Smash Factor.

The SF factor tells you how close to the sweet spot you’ve hit the ball. The max SF is 1. 5 for your driver. Note that smash factor varies with loft. Since the SC200 lets you select any club in your bag you get an accurate SF for each club.

Since I live in New England and it’s still too cold for outdoor golf I have been hitting foam golf balls in my garage. Even though the ball speed is much much lower than a real ball, I’ve been able to make minor swing adjustments and maximize my swing speed and distance.

Once the weather warms I’m really anxious to get real SC 200 averaged distances for each club that I can use on the course.

In the past I had purchased a rangefinder from a discount brand. I’m more of a GPS watch guy so when that rangefinder couldn’t lock on to the pin I returned it quickly. But I did like being able to shoot a yardage at the driving range, and of course it’s nice to have when I’m playing a round as well.

So this time I did my research and ended up with this great little unit. I could tell the quality right when I opened it up from the package. Just point and shoot and I get an accurate reading. Some of the longer pins I may have to shoot multiple times, but I’m always confident that I have the right yardage.

I’ve never used any of the more expensive Bushnell’s, etc. , so I can’t compare it to them. But I am very happy with this purchase. The size of this unit is probably a little smaller than most, so it seems to fit in my fingers rather than sit in the palm of my hand.

Just something to note if you’re very particular about that. It does slide in and out of the pocket I keep it in in my golf bag easily due to its size.

It works great getting the job done. Simple and easy to use. Just as good if not better than the other brands. Would recommend and buy again as the price is more reasonable than the other “high end” brands.

The L10 range finder is a decent product, but there is a basic shortcoming; sometimes it doesn’t work. Simply put, it works 80% of the time. Sometimes you can aim the laser at your flag and it works immediately and other times you receive no information (yardage to the pin) whatsoever.

No rhyme or reason.
