20 Best Latex Gloves For Mechanics (2023 Updated)

I purchased these gloves to work on outboard motors. I have used the “GLOVEWORKS HD Industrial Orange Nitrile Gloves with Raised Diamond Texture Grip, Box of 100, 8 Mil” in the past. These gloves are not as durable, and feel much thinner.

They feel like they are 6 Mil.

Excellent product. I use them for my cleaning bussiness and works perfect . Better than other previous gloves

Use around the house and garage for various projects. Love them and they are tough.

I gave these gloves a 2 rating because I found that I had two right hand gloves, so somewhere out there is a bag with two left gloves. And, both gloves were obviously dry rotted because they tore while being put on, so I didn’t get the forearm protection I was hoping for which was the whole reason for purchasing them.

Still, I made do and got my cleaning done. Next time I’ll order more than one bag to better my chances of getting both a right and left handed glove!.

These gloves are very thin. If you want to use them for washing dishes with hot water, they don’t provide enough of a barrier for you to not feel the heat. The packaging says they have a cotton lining.

Either the lining is so thin that it’s impossible to detect with the naked eye, or there’s no cotton lining. This is more for dusting and general house work.

These gloves are awesome for cleaning. I always use a pair gloves to do the dishes because I always use some bleach in my water and I don’t want the bleach to get on my skin. They are also good for cleaning the grosser areas in your home.

I definitely use a pair every time I need to clean the toilets And I also wear these to take out the trash sometimes to.

I have large hands and the XL fit perfect. Do not undersize, it can cause hand cramps. I use them for painting, stripping finishes and working on the car. Pretty darn durable. I should have bought two boxes.

GREAT!! This is the 3rd time I’ve order Thicksters. Great for mechanical/electrial stuff and my main use, cracking and cleaning walnuts. Protects my hands while still allowing me to pick up small nut pieces.

You know how you buy a box of gloves every few months and you can’t remember which brand was actually good and if they fit tight/loose for the size? These are good and worth buying. They’re durable enough I can get one pair to last like a whole day of wrenching, so long as I’m not doing sharp metal or brake fluid stuff.

They run maybe a little small? I’m in-between medium and large and I wear a large of these.

These gloves are surprisingly durable and worthy of the price. It is indeed unfortunate how much a box of them cost, but their reliability makes up for that! They are great to do just about any small work in.

Cleaning out your vehicle especially! Good for yard work as well. I love that they are also black.

I work as a professional auto technician and I can say these gloves are awesome. They are strong enough that they don’t puncture easily, yet thin enough that you dexterity. I typically only have to use a pair or two in one day at work.

I take them off and reuse them until they rip. I had resisted purchasing “expensive” gloves and instead was buying the ones at Harbor Freight, but I was going through too many each day. It is cheaper to buy these gloves and you will be much happier and better protected!.

I’ve tried many brands and keep coming back to these. The 8mm thickness is just enough to make them last longer. Your hands slip in easily and I can get many uses out of a single pair.

I needed gloves for my crafting and painting and they were perfect for this. I ordered medium and have average womens hand and they fit nicely – snug but not too tight. The only issue was how they were delivered – they arrived very quickly but the box they are in came in a white plastic envelope and so the box the gloves were in was totally squished and destroyed – had to put gloves in a bag as the box would not contain them anymore after shipping.

These gloves are lightweight and durable. I used them to work on my car and to my surprise they lasted longer than I expected. The price is very competitive and this product is of high quality. I strongly recommend these gloves to all that need that added protection.

Gloves work great for working around the house. However I went to re-order them today and the price has tripled since July. It is not Walmart it is the seller. Shame on them

First of all, I like these gloves because they are powdered and slip on easily. My previous set of latex gloves were not five mill and were somewhat smaller one-size-fits-all and would often rip as I was trying to put them on.

They also were not powdered and so would not slip on easily. These are very sturdy and good for household chores such as painting using epoxy glues and other nasty tasks.

Bought these several weeks ago. I have always used disposable gloves on the farm. Now more than ever it’s good to have better disposable gloves. They fit just right. Sturdier than the 4mil.

high quality glove at a fair price. I purchased these when I was unable to find/buy my usual gloves. At first I thought the price was raised due to the limited availability of latex gloves, but when they came in, I realized they are much thicker than i was buying and a much better glove overall.

Seems to wear well. Bought them for travel and pumping gas. Use them upon going to the grocery store. We are using them once and throw. What we have used all are without holes, so feel safer.

These gloves are very sturdy and do not tear. But what I love about them the most is the texturing. Now I can open a plastic bag with no problem even wearing the gloves. I will definitely re-order these when the time comes.

I like to only purchase these when they are on sale for 3. 50 -4 dollars. I use these exclusively every day, and they do hold up well in terms of the material wearing in. I usually only have to throw them out when i rub holes in the fingers (months), or the stitching comes apart and your fingers show.

This is the most prevalent problem with the gloves, but for throwaways, and the price, they are a great bargain. Would recommend to anyone if hand coverage is needed. I wear them year-round, although they don’t provide a whole lot of warmth in a Michigan winter.

If they get wet, use a dry pair and simply dry the wet ones out; doesn’t seem to phase the gloves. They are not leather, so they wont last as long, don’t make your hands stink, and are 1/3 of the cost at least.

I’ve tried using these gloves for work around the farm. I like them because they provide reasonable protection, fit well, aren’t overly bulky and are low priced. I don’t like these gloves because they don’t last.

I typically get less than a day’s work out of them before the seams rip or large holes appears. Value wise, they aren’t worth much. A leather or pig skin glove would last much better. I just haven’t located any yet that feel and fit as well as these gloves at a reasonable price.

For now I’ll stick with these, but at $4 per day, I am looking for a better solution.

A few years ago a Harbor Freight opened up in my city and I purchased a pair of these at their grand opening because the price was very reasonable. I still have that same pair and in the meantime I’ve purchased additional pairs for different jobs.

I use one pair specifically when I work on my wood lathe. I’ve purchased a pair for the trunk of my car, a pair for use in my garage workshop, a pair for my wife (she loves them for garden use) and yet another pair recently just to have a extra set.

I knew they were NOT rubberized so when they get wet I just dry them in the sun and they bounce right back. They break in easily and when they are on sale it’s a good buy.

First, these are very durable and have a lot of reasons to like. As stated in other reviews, they are very durable. They have great grip (textured fingertips). They hold up better than most. Here’s my beef.

The fingers are way too short. I have large hands. 9” from base of palm to fingertips. The 2xls are ~9” in total length, great, but the fingers are only 3. 25” long. My middle finger is 4. 25” long. These would fit great if I were part waterfowl.

Be cautious if you have long fingers. I’ve only tried the 2XLs. I’m not sure if the other sizes are disproportionate as well.

I buy these for doing all sorts of things around the house that get my hands dirty. Changing oil/working on cars, dealing with chemicals, doing plumbing, etc. I’ve used these for almost 10 years now, and they have always been great quality, durable, and they seem to provide a pretty good tactile feel still, which is hard to find in a glove.

Another thing you can do with these gloves is if you buy a size up, I put them over my fabric winter gloves to provide a layer of waterproofing to keep the gloves from getting wet while shoveling snow, snowblowing, or just playing in the snow with the kids.

These would be great exam or tattoo gloves, but they do not have any texture on them. So they do not work well when using with grease or oil. They are just too slippery, making grabbing a bolt harder.

I ordered Xl gloves and when I put on the first 2 pair they both tore at cuff. I wear X large nitrile and latex gloves in my job {ems) & have never had a problem with them. the 3 pair tore in the palm.

These x large gloves feel as though they are size large even though the box say’s X Large.

I have ordered these gloves many time in the past. Had great service but this time the gloves were not available. I am not sure why they are insisting I review this time.

For all purpose disposable gloves, these are by far the best I have ever purchased. Nearly impossible to tear inadvertently and not too thick to give a good feel for close work. I recommend these for the heavy mechanical and electrical work I do over dozens of others I have tried, all of whom ripped easily or failed to be resistant to diesel or gas fuels.

Heavy duty. Can be washed and reused. I use a cloth liner to ease removal. I work in the automotive industry abd these gloves hold up to heavy use. Size is accurate.

Very good quality! I have large hands and they fit great and were durable enough to use a second time if I wanted. I used these to detail my car to prevent any scratches or chemicals getting on my hands.

They were also long enough to cover my wristband that never leaves my wrist.

They work perfect. They go on easy no falling apart. I bought the extra large to make sure they fit my husbands hands to, as with this virus going around, and we headed back to our home state these worked great for getting gas.

I wore them to the store, I have small hands so they were about half inch longer than my fingers but no complaints I felt safer with them on. They stretch great to.

These were not the gloves I normally buy, but because of COVID-19 they were the only ones in stock. I generally prefer the nitrile gloves. They do however serve the purpose I need them for. Wearing when I go to the store, and other jobs around the house.

I would highly recommend the comfitwear gloves. They fit well and the don’t rip or get holes in them like normal latex gloves. They have a lot of durability. Well worth the price.

These are 5 mil. That thickness is hard to find. Especially for this great price. I use them for everything fin house cleaning to mechanical work. I currently have 900 gloves in my kitchen pantry. XL Size is a plus.

I love it, good quality, thickness is good enough for daily use. I used it a lot, just as caregiver, I don’t always have to get it on my own. I used to clean, to cook, for everything. I’m definitely recommend it.

This was my second purchase, and this review might be a repeat. These are LATEX, which I like, they fit very well, stretchy, snug, not binding, no powder, but you can smell the latex so you know there are particles in the air.

They slip on smoothly. Also if you are in a project eg crafing, or working with hot peppers or meat, and get dirty or greasy, they wash very well with soft soap, dry same as hands, so you can go right back to the project.

I use them for caregiving mostly and they are great–see caution below. Especially good since they are relatively inexpensive and you can’t find nitrile smalls anywhere–the nitriles are all going to the medical and pro-caregiveing personnel as should be.

I like these very much. I wish they would correct their title and description, but otherwise it’s all good for me–no one my my home has a latex allergy. CAUTION: do NOT use these if anyone in your home has a latex allergy; do NOT use these for commercial or retail food preparation, you cannot know which customer might have an allergy to latex.

I bought these for my husband as an Xmas gift and it was one of his favs. We both can’t believe we didn’t think of buying these sooner. It makes handling chicken, meat, etc. so much easier and cleaner.

They are a little tight to get on for my husband, but I think they have to be, For me they are a little loose. I would buy again.

These gloves work well for me because they are very lightweight and don’t make my hands sweat. They are powder-free, but not textured. Nor do they feel industrial if your definition of industrial is strong.

I lost a tip that got caught in a crease (at a stoplight) and one that got snagged on a zipper. And if you have to remove them for something that is touch sensitive, they’re almost impossible to put back on.

I always carry an extra pair for such accidents. Ordering a size up would probably take care of the problem of needing to put them back on. But if you’re just interested in a shield for your hands while shopping or taking a walk, these work well.

They fit perfectly and are very comfortable to wear and easy to remove as well. Nothing bad to say about these gloves. Use them dor staining , painting and to keep germs off my hands when shoppng right now.

They also remind me to keep my hands away from my face during this Covid-19 virus time.

These gloves are great – they do not rip or tear easily. When I use them for automotive work, I can sometimes re-use them two or three times. As an added bonus, they are long, so I can pull them up over the long-sleeve shirt that I am wearing.

a very good glove for the price. My company uses Safety Zone gloves so when I saw the low price of this product, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to grab a box for my home. I have used these gloves at work for the inspection of products just prior to shipping so I figure I can use them at home as well.

My hands are sensitive so I use them around the house when I am cleaning particularly in the kitchen. They are light enough that I can easily grip things without the bulky feeling of the rubber kitchen gloves that I usually wear.

They are durable and resist tearing unlike the cheap vinyl gloves I sometimes purchase from the local dollar store. They fit better too.

Total garbage everytime you use them they rip can’t even stain or paint one thing within 5 minutes they all rip even doubled up. WASTE OF MONEY
