20 Best Late Night Snack For Weight Loss (2023 Updated)

I am not 100% crazy about the “hickory” part of this (artificial smoke flavor not my thing) but for a diet snack product I think this definitely deserves five stars. I can have a snack and not feel guilty about it and not kill my diet goals.

Texture and crunch are both top notch. Slightly sweet BBQ flavor usually isn’t my thing but this is very good and works for me.

I absolutely love these chips! The flavor is amazing. Sweet BBQ flavor in a very tasty chip, feels like I’m eating something bad but it’s not! Some chips are harder than others, but the taste makes up for that, just my opinion.

I will continue to buy these for sure!.

These are not the same as the chips from 3 months ago. The Pea Protein doesn’t cut it. The other BBQ from a different supplier were my absolute favorite. I believe some of the comments, especially positive were for other brand.

Liked the Lemon very much. So pleased not to find any icky after-taste with the Lemon. A good day’s end reward. Any plans to offer an Orange Protein Waffer. About 6-7 yrs ago, I was on the Optimal Protein diet, and did quite well, They offered almost identical waffer bars.

Loved their Orange flavored waffer, but their Lemon version tasted chemical. Your Lemon is tasty.

My husband likes the taste of this product better than other things he has tried. I have had him on a diet since the week of Halloween and has already lost over 4 sizes and over 55 lbs. The diet I have him in let’s him eat every 2 1/2 hours with lunch and dinner so he can have the wafer 4 to 5 times throughout the day depending on what time he starts in the morning.

Even though he can only have half the wafer at a time it’s great because it is already split in half. Thank you.

I absolutely LOVE these wafer bars. Love that there is a variety, love that they are so yummy while providing lots of protein and minimal carbs. The only thing I would change is to make them just a tiny bit less crumbly so I am not being a silly person dabbing at my desk trying to get every possible morsel.

Every single flavor is so good! Please bring out more flavors since whoever is making these is a freaking genius. I have to force myself not to choose these for each meal.

I had some Staples credits to use up and didn’t need any office supplies so I decided to spend it on these snacks because I love dark chocolate and I love pretzels. Staples did an amazing job packing these things in a styrofoam cooler with frozen gel packs.

Well, it’s fish grease hot in Charlotte in July so those packs well quite thawed out by the time I got the package. One of the three packs also had a tiny hole in it so gel stuff was leaking inside the cooler.

When I opened the Barkthins bag, I noticed the chocolate had signs of heat stress on it (that ashy powder-like surface). It probably had melted somewhere along its distribution chain and then re-set.

Oh well. Never buy wine or anything that melts in your hand during the summer. I’m still going to finish all three bags though. It still tastes quite good.

So I picked these up because I wanted something I could eat on my drive to work that would hold me until lunch time. I got the Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, and the Snickerdoodle cookies.

My favorite was immediately the Snickerdoodles. I can’t describe why that is, it just matched what I wanted the most. So I bought another 12 pack of the Snickerdoodle, and they were noticeably different.

They had so much more of the cinnamon and sugar coating. Loved it. They also weren’t as soft, I didn’t enjoy that. I ended up buying a third box. This one was just trash. The texture was wrong. They weren’t firm, but they weren’t soft, and the way they looked on the inside just didn’t look right to me.

I had a similar issue with the chocolate chip ones. The first box smelled very strongly of chemicals, almost like gasoline, but the second one was fine. It was just weird, you don’t know what quality you will get when you order these.

This cookie is bland and barely has any pumpkin in it anymore. There’s a much more artificial taste, and the texture/appearance looks more processed than ever. Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookies (especially pumpkin and birthday cake) used to be my favorite, but for the past few years they’ve changed all of their recipes.

The pumpkin is barely edible anymore. The chocolate chip is inedible. The snickerdoodle is the only decent one left, only because of the cinnamon sugar coating. Since formula change after questions of protein content and if they were truly vegan things started going downhill.

And then it seemed to happen again when they started playing around and offering different varieties of cookies. Buy only if you’re really not a picky person.

I feel like everyone who has first started their fitness journey runs into these cookies. They have great advertisement because they are at every gym. I personally don’t think they are that tasty and a big chalky.

I also think a big misconception that a lot of people have who are getting into fitness is that it’s “healthy” or will help you “lose weight” when in reality it has a lot of calories. It’s misleading.

Yes it has a good amount of protein but you can get that somewhere else for far less calories. If you’re bulking and want some quick cals and you don’t mind the taste then this is perfect for you. It’s just not my cup of tea.

I like these have protein them them. Snacks with that extra benefit is always a good idea. You do do get the chocolate and caramel, plus slight hint of salt. Crunchy and soft depending if you keep these refrigerated or not.

Very generous packet. Sweet and salty goods at its best. I put these on my home made ice cream. Yum!! No artificial flavors or preservatives, you can’t go wrong. The dark chocolate never tasted so good.

These are seriously so good. I am new to low carb/keto so my taste buds are definitely not used to all of the low carb foods and snacks. However, these are delicious! I would continue to eat these even if I wasn’t on any diet.

It is easy to eat ‘too many’ but they really are that good. The downsides are that 1. they are pricey and there is no multipack boxes. the other is that some of the bits are pretty hard and I just have to be careful when I bite down the first time.

These are one if my favorite go-to’s when my sweet tooth is kicking in. While it’s not the sweetest, it is tasty and has a crispy waffer with a light and fluffy cream filling. The filling does have a slight grainy texture, with a slight hint ofvsalt to avoid that fake sweet flavor.

I think its a great flavor balance. Again, if you’re looking for a highly sweet bite, these are not what you would want to try as they are semi-sweet in flavor. **Note: For those of you who complain about textures and tastes, remember, you have more than likely enjoyed the real thing with the real flavor for too long and THAT’S why you now need to cut back on all those calories and sugars and are needing a dietary choice in the first place! 🙂 Remember, its a lifestyle CHANGE!.

These are hands down my favorite, my go-to, any time! They are really tough to find in stores so when I do I buy as many boxes as I can! I could easily eat four boxes in a week and not even feel bad about it! At 4 net carbs there is always room for one of these! The peanut butter is creamy, not at all gritty and I love that it’s natural tasting and not too sweet.

They are crispy and airy at the same time and the peanut butter coating holds it all nicely together! I love these so much I stay stocked up! In fact, I’m eating one right now!.

I have been on a high-protein & low-fat diet for almost 1year but I’ve always hated the taste of protein bars THEN I saw these crisps & I had to give it one last shot. THESE ARE SO DARN TASTY. PB is not too overwhelming, wafer is crunchy with some yummy softness.

These are my absolute favorite sweet treat. I’ve tried Russell Stovers brand that have very similar ingredients and these are superior by far, the other brand is very bland, these are rich in flavor! Unfortunately too expensive to buy weekly.

(I eat one a day usually) so will have to compromise with the Russell Stovers because I find them at Ross and TJ Maxx much cheaper.

This is the first time I received my item in perfect condition. I have not opened or eaten any of them yet, but usually something has exploded or is dented, etc. I am so happy right now. They got here very fast.

The only improvement is that they knock on the door before they leave due to the heat and my product being extremely perishable. On the other hand they were so quiet my dog didn’t alert. I checked the delivery and got them before they melted.

These are the best Keto friendly treat I have eaten, bar none!!!! I’ve tried all sorts of sweets HigKey, KetoBakes, Aldi Brands and countless others and this atkins treat is THE BEST YET!!!! I find that several of these items are overly sweet and there is a drying effect in my mouth and throat after consumption.

I have yet to experience this with the Clusters!!! I love the that 1 cluster has only 1 carb!!!! I am aware that you should go for whole foods and leave processed foods and the artificial sweetners alone however, it is nice to have an option when you get weak and just need a little something sweet.

I was hesitant because some reviews said these had a strong “pledge-y” lemon flavor, but to my taste buds that’s not the case. To me the lemon is more on the tame side. Something about it does clash a little with the lemon flavor, not sure if it’s the sweetener or one of the other ingredients.

I don’t mind it but I can see how others might not care for it. All that being said, I actually like these a lot, more than I was expecting. They’re on the softer side too, some of the other bars are quite hard.

It’s nice that there’s 8 bars instead of the usual 5, still pricey but a better deal than some of the other packs.

I am obsessed and in love with these cookies! I’ve been eating them for a while and honestly think they taste better than most cookies full of sugar/carbs. Recently, these have especially become a lifesaver! My bf was recently told he was pre-diabetic and needed to make changes to his diet which obviously included low carb/low sugar which I knew would be tough for him to do since he has a sweet tooth and he was having a hard time adjusting to feeling like he couldn’t eat anything “normal”.

Honestly these cookies have helped so much, he loves them and as stupid as it sounds, he’s said that they help make things seem more normal and is glad that he can still have a couple of cookies without worrying about how it will affect him.

Xanthan gum is a fine food additive, and as a long-time on-and-off low-carber, I’m quite familiar with it. For some, however, xanthan gum can diminish or mute the flavor of the food to which it is added, and I am one of those people.

Consequently, these don’t taste like chocolate chip cookies to me; they taste vaguely like something sweet, and nothing else. Sadly, the sheer amount of gums in the cookies also affects the texture, which very quickly transitions from crispy to just plain slimy on the palate.

For me, these are just slimy, unflavored xanthan gum cookies that happen to look like chocolate chip cookies. Bleh. I can make much better, for a fraction of the cost.

I really like the Highkey chocolate chip cookies. The chocolate chip cookies have a saltiness and the cookies are pretty good. The taste is very similar to the leading blue-packaged brand of traditional chocolate chip cookies.

They have just the right amount of crisp and crumb, good balance between chocolate chips and cookie, and just the right sweetness. I’m happy with the ingredients and the quality in this bag. I finished that bag in 5 minutes.

The cookies are small enough that you can satisfy your craving with few calories or eat a whole bag of you like. Gluten free and keto friendly for an added bonus! The package is small (Too small for me).

I believe the way it was packed was not the way to go, the pretzels were just one big peice due to them melting ,,completely. The popcorn was crushed, not something I’d buy again.

The White Cheddar takes takes it over the top. Great Popcorn. It’s the best I’ve ever eaten.

The only flavor I have tried so far is Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate. The flavor was very good. Not too sweet, not too salty. The peanut flavor came through very nicely and the chocolate did not have the “cheap chocolate” taste of some bars I’ve tried.

The texture was nice, with a bit of crunch and a bit of chewiness. Personally, I prefer a little more crunch, but that’s nitpicking. The main novelty about this bar is the Allulose — an ingredient new to me – that makes the bars very low carb.

I could not detect any flavor from it, nor from the monkfruit that adds sweetness without sugar. This bar would not be something I’d reach for if I needed a quick infusion of energy — there just isn’t enough sugar there, but that is exactly what would recommend this bar to those watching their bloodsugar, for example.

Also of note is that other bars have longer “best by” dates. (Mine was about 8 months). Personally, I prefer food that doesn’t have a forever shelf life, but I wouldn’t put these bars in my earthquake kit, for example.

I’m not satisfied with the vast majority of energy bars I’ve tried. Specifically, I find most brands to be disgustingly sweet. I usually go for very high protein bars, but even then, often have trouble finishing a box of them due to accumulating unhappiness with the cloying sweetness.

I’m happy to report that this bar had an excellent mix of nuts, chocolate, and seeds without tasting like a cheap candy bar. This afternoon I ate a bar and then went for a 2 mile walk. No sugar crash with fatigue resulted, which I could expect with more sugary snacks.

The label states 5 grams of protein and 150 calories, 4 grams of fiber, and less than 1 gram of total sugars. Good stuff and highly recommended.

About me: Female, 27 years old, 164 cm, 60 kg. Day 1: Took 3 pills in the morning and 3 six hours after (exactly what the bottle said, bought the one with 120 capsules which each serving is 3 pills, NOT the one pill only) , each time I had nausea, did not want to eat anything, I was pretty happy about it first and thought oh nice diet will be so easy when you are disgusted to all food.

At night I could only sleep 3 hours and woke up very unrefreshed, could not sleep again. Day 2: Exactly the same dosage, same nausea, and AGAIN I could only sleep 3 hours before I just woke up and cant sleep again.

Day 3: Same nausea, I took 6 mg melatonin to get better sleep but ended up sleeping only 5 hours, so total 11 hours sleep in 3 days. Sleep is very important for me since I lift heavy weights and I cant recover muscles by sleeping so little, and I feel extremely dead after waking up.

I could not even work, I have a desk job and mostly staring at my screen because I just could not concentrate for some reason, probably because of too little sleep. I decided to not continue 4th day, and will put it to on my shelf for maybe next year when Im ready to ruin my life to get lean.

I lost all satisfactory for eating food, got severe insomnia, extremely bad mood, upset stomach, nausea and feeling that I want to throw up constantly, it is not worth it for me to ruin my life like that just to get leaner a bit faster.

I used to be able to sleep 8-12 hours per day without problem, falling asleep whenever I wanted, never in my life I had insomnia, I also constantly want to eat food, but after taking this pill I feel like I was food poisoned constantly, so the effect is EXTREME.

Blood pressure also became higher, I used to always have around 105/60 but after taking I had around 117/72. While in gym I felt pulse in my head, it overall feels very dangerous. Sure it will work and I will lose weight this way, but the cost is too high.

I recently switched to healthier food choices in an attempt to cut out sugar, excess sodium, and fat from my diet. I searched “keto snacks” while creating a grocery delivery order with Walmart, and these came up.

Pros: these chips contain lots of protein (19 grams protein/4 grams of carbs); they are really tasty, just as yummy as a “regular” taco chip, with a nice mild tomato-ey with spices taco flavor; they have good ingredients; you feel full after eating a small amount; they’re healthier than regular taco chips with very low fat and no sugar.

Cons: bag is very small; they are expensive; they are fairly high in sodium (15%); chips are super delicate and fragile, and crumble very easily. It’s so frustrating that it costs so much more to purchase more healthy food than it is to buy super-processed, fatty, sugary foods.

For the price of this small bag, you could probably get a fairly large sized bag of the name brand nacho/taco chips. However, after eating half of this small bag, I felt that my snack cravings were fully satisfied.

Were this a bag of regular brand taco chips, I would still be plowing through a big bag of them, and consuming more fat and sugar and salt than I should be. Conclusion: these are expensive, but worth it.

If you could keep them from crumbling, they would be an excellent quick snack at work on the go, as they contain so much protein. After eating regular taco chips I get sort of a salt/fat/sugar “hangover”- just that over-full icky feeling.

That doesn’t happen with these chips. So overall, I do recommend these to satisfy a D—-os craving without the fat, excess sodium, and sugar. Left off one star due to being expensive.

I had tried one of the quest protein bars and been extremely disappointed by it in so many ways, so going into this I was a little skeptical. I have never been more happy to eat my words. The flavor is amazing! I’ve never been a huge fan of the original nacho cheese Doritos, but somehow I prefer these way more.

I’m someone who prefers a lighter/less dense chip that almost melts in the mouth, so the light crispness of this is perfect for me. The cheese dust flavor is just right, and there’s no weird protein taste or aftertaste.

I could probably go through 2 or 3 bags of this in one sitting and not worry about it because of how high protein they are for a bag of chips. And they’re still around the same calories of a normal bag of chips, so it’s a win-win.

But the biggest thing is that I felt satisfied after I ate just one bag. As someone who struggles with cravings and binge eating, an alternative like this is such a blessing. It’s worth the extra dollars.

So one of the hardest parts about going Gluten Free and Low Carb was giving up my chips. I tried a lot of replacements over the past 5 years and some got close to cutting it, but were never quite right.

I decided to try Quest chips on a whim and WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING THIS WHOLE TIME? These are delicious and immediately squash the craving, not to mention the high protein content is a huge plus and curbs any hunger I may have! I haven’t tried a flavor that I do not like but in the end, the Ranch are my usual go-to, followed closely by Chili Lime and Loaded Taco.

The only thing “negative” I can think of to say would be that these are not as strong as regular tortilla chips. They are not scoopable in dips but I can just stick them straight down and get the flavor of the dip that way.

Honestly doesn’t bother me at all just trying to give a well-rounded review. Give them a shot if you’re considering, Ranch is a more chill/casual flavor but the others pack an awesome punch!.

I LOVE the peanut butter cups, I actually like then better than Reeses. The reason for my 1 star review is because when I received my package the exterior box was fine but once I opened the Walmart box to retrieve the Atkins PB Cups, the box was smashed and open, it even had some tears in the carton.

It’s too much of a hassle to return them, I tried, my only option is to retun by mail. What a pain. I totally know that reviews are meant for the product itself. Atkins PB Cups are my favorite, I will continue to purchase instore or on Amazon, they package them very carefully (even with an ice pack!).

So I decided to try these and was terrified they were going to be nasty. Boy was I wrong. These are actually really good. They are pretty filling as well which blew my mind. I wanted to eat the entire box but was too full to.

Although I’m not big on sweets so it’s probably easier for me to like this stuff. But all together the taste is great. It kind of has a slight salt taste to it and I like that!.

These taste pretty good, but I’m guessing you shouldn’t eat too many of them (more than 1 or 2 a day) because they do affect your stomach. I’m guessing it’s the xylitol or other alcohol-type ingredients in it.

I don’t buy it anymore. It’s good as a one-in-a-while treat, although it’s VERY expensive. I personally stopped buying them, but some might consider them helpful, especially if they’re doing keto.

I purchased two flavors of Garden of Life Organic Fit High Protein Weight Loss Bars: Cherry and Peanut Butter. I like the Chocolate Covered Cherry one a little better because the added ‘zip’ with the cherry flavor (although both are good).

This brand is not like eating many ‘candies’ type of bars, which is something I wanted and appreciated. I realize not everyone will like the less sweet bar, but this is one of the most enjoyable ones I’ve tasted.

In addition to it having only 1g of sugar and high protein, it has more fiber and ashwagandha, which are helpful as appetite suppressants (and uch more). One thing I REALLY like is that it isn’t as messy to eat when driving or on a plane: doesn’t crumble as easily and doesn’t ‘melt’ and became tack or sticky when handling.

Although they say this is gluten free, I noticed that this is manufactured in a plant that also processes wheat (dairy, peanuts and soy).

Frankly, I think you need to remove your own personal opinion and look at the bigger picture for the sake of consumers. How many chocolate flavors do you need? Again, makes no sense!!!!!! Even the Target Stores have minimal inventory of your product; wonder why? Granted, the Sea Salt Carmel “SPORT” Protein Bar is available, HOWEVER, it DOES NOT have the SAME IDENTICAL Sugar, Fiber, or Protein ingredients vs.

your ORGANIC FIT Brand. It’s significantly higher in Sugar, has less protein and less fiber. For the consumers reading this, compare the calorie content on the “SPORT Brand” vs. the “Organic Fit Brand”.

I ordered these through a FB ad and was looking forward to a healthier type Chex Mix. I was very disappointed in the variety pack I received. The spice mixture in one bag was unevenly distributed; some items were super spicy and others had very little of the mixture on it.

Further, my bags were a bit stale. I did not get any great crunch; just a weirdness biting into the mix. This was especially true for the little wagon wheel shapes. They were crumbly and just did nothing for one’s palate.

Maybe these are a more healthy alternative to Chex Mix, but they need to distribute the spices better and work on the texture. For the amount of money I spent, I’d rather go back to Chex Mix and get all the different flavors with better consistency in the blend.

Will not buy again.
