20 Best Laser Pointer For Cats (2023 Updated)

My cat’s favorite game is to chase the laser light. She begs for it. As a result, we go through the laser pointers regularly. I have always bought the standard laser mouse toy that is readily available.

Of course, I get them to get a stronger, more vivid light that she can see. When batteries get low, the light becomes smaller and then she easily loses sight of it, making it hard to use. So, I saw these new, cute little design lights and ordered three.

Much to my dismay, all three lights are tiny and hard for her to see. You can tell that the battery juice is next to nil. So, I just wasted my money. WOULD NOT BUY THESE AGAIN!.

This never gets old. I don’t use it very often, so that helps it not get old I’m sure. but Miss Kitty automatically starts frantically looking and searching for the red dot as soon as she hears the click.

She is conditioned lol. So if she is into something or doing something I want her to stop, every now and then I’ll just get this out and it works like a charm. Also, she LOVES chasing it. Just be careful not to use too much because it can frustrate some cats after a while since they can never actually catch it.

I must say I’m disappointed in the Premier Pet zip automatic laser cat toy. I have an older cat that really needs to exercise but when I turned this toy on and placed on the floor he immediately ran away.

I also have a pit bull that is almost 2 years old that loves laser lights so I was still somewhat hopeful that we would get some use from this gadget. Much to my disappointment the laser didn’t work.

The dog did briefly follow it around but lost interest in it fairly quickly. It is a cute little toy with the tiny ears on top and would probably have been much better had the laser actually functioned properly.

Our cats like the premier pet zip automatic lazer. It is like a small roomba but it has the irresistible lazer toy attached. It does unfortunately make noise that isn’t particularly loud but one of our cats doesn’t like noise and it beats their love of lazer.

It took her a few days to trust it and enjoy chasing it. I also want to mention that it wouldn’t work without fresh batteries installed, however it still is running strong after a week. I recommend this fun toy.

One of my cats loves chasing light beams so we figured he would love this toy. When we first turned it on in the living room, he was way more interested in the machine itself than the lights and worked his way up to it to hit it.

He did chase the light for a bit but seemed a little confused that there was 2 of them so I maybe should have chosen the single light version instead. After the initial introduction, we turned it on in a darkened room and that seemed to do the trick and he was more in tune with the lights than the machine.

It even got 1 of my other cats interested and chasing the light. I wish the unit had an automatic timer, that would make it perfect for times when you are not home. Overall we are pleased and think kitties are too.

This is a good toy. Picture does not accurately portray product. It will shoot the double beams for a long distance. It will reverse direction of beams every few seconds. I started out with the toy on the floor and my cats love it especially in the evening when I turn off the lights in the house.

About after a week they got bored with it(playing with it continuously) I now placed it on my coffee table and now the game is back on!! Whole different scenario. Lol.

I have lost count of the number of laser lights I have purchased over the years. This light is not the worst I’ve ever bought, but not the best either. As your playing , the light will start to fade in and out.

If you wait a short time to play again, the light will start out bright but after a short time it will start to fade once again. There are a large number of laser’s out there, some more cheaply priced.

I would suggest trying another one.

The laser light is pretty good, but the design of the unit causes interference with the beam and splits it into multiple parts. This sometimes confuses the pet and could cause one of the stray beams to shine in their eyes while they’re playing with the main beam.

– The white light comes in handy on occasion. – The UV light is in the wrong frequency of the UV spectrum and no where near strong enough to use for detecting urine crystals, so they would have been better off leaving it out.

Lights that are made for that purpose are in the 365 to 385 nanometer range and are much higher intensity, using multiple emitters to generate the needed brightness. This one is more of a novelty toy to entertain someone by shining it on random objects.

– Being rechargeable does eliminate the need to buy those expensive little silver oxide button cells. It would have been better if they’d have used a replaceable cell like an 18650 rechargeable. Then a spare could be on hand to swap out and a new one could be found to replace one no longer holding a charge.

As it is, once this one fails, the unit becomes trash.

It was everything I wanted and could fit on my Keychain, but it was not to be. As mentioned in another review the laser light is obstructed right from the start and doesn’t shine clean. The switch when used would push the components inside the metal housing forward until the cap holding all the lights pushed out of the end and somewhere inside the wires would stop making the proper contact to charge or to just work.

I tried pushing the end cap back in with each use but the components eventually didnt work. Lasted about 2-3 weeks before it stopped working altogether. It’s a shame, it was great for helping find my keys and unlocking my front door.

But worst of all was seeing the disappointment on my cats faces when it stopped working. THAT you can’t put a price on!.

My cats love this! The other cheaper one I got had a weak light and only one of my cats would play with it and it broke not long after I got it. This one the light is strong and the dot is bigger, now both cats play with it all the time.

They know where I keep it when not playing and if I go near the drawer they are right there, waiting for me to get it out. Worked right out of the package, don’t have to hold the button down to keep it on, the UV light comes in handy to see any places I missed after washing out the cat box.

The flashlight is more of a spotlight, but comes in handy as a backup flashlight. Haven’t had to charge it yet, but I am glad the buying/changing battery days are over!.

Lazer Pointers are a must have for a cat, they bring ours hours of endless fun and its a great way to get kids to interact with pets as well. With supervision of course depending on the age. This lazer pointer is great and we would recommend it for your kitty.

THE PRODUCT WAS BROKEN BEFORE I EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO USE IT. THE SCREW IN PLASTIC TOP DID NOT FIT SECURELY ON THE PRODUCT AND WOULD NOT ALLOW A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE 3 BATTERIES IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A LIGHT.

THE PRODUCT APPEARED SOLID, BUT WAS CHEAP PLASTIC IN A NICE PACKAGE.

Being rechargeable is the real plus over replacing batteries in something used off and on. Having self-contained charging through a USB port is great. Still on first charge after several weeks. While it came with some charge, it did take longer than expected to reach full charge, perhaps plugged in the wrong charger, but no directions with it.

Used the photo in the ad that showed a red light while charging and green for ready. As plugged in to my computer, however, that tiny light was facing down so I did not notice it’s glow at first. The cat loves to chase the red laser, which is very bright! Another plus is the switch to keep it on and not have to hold it ON.

The flashlight function is very useful when dealing with things in small spaces. No current need for the UV function, so can only comment that it works. Too early to say what the longevity will be, but it is not expensive.

Bought this USB rechargeable one to replace a small battery operated that we were tired of replacing the batteries on. This is SOOO much better than the previous one, for the following reasons. 1) The size is more ergonomic than the overly small battery one we had 2) It is very bright ; my dog loves chasing after the lasered shapes; this is much brighter than our battery operated one (this one is bright enough that our dog can chase the red shapes at dusk ; with the old one we had to wait until it was dark out) 3) It is rechargeable.

4) No need to press a button; this stays on the whole time. 5) The flashlight is actually usable.

Our puppies absolutely love chasing the red dot around. Or they hate the red dot and want to kill it, but either way they have lots of fun chasing it around. And we have even more fun watching them.

My cats enjoy chasing the dot but it’s an off and on thing. They get bored and I have to put it away for a bit until it’s a novelty again. This one stopped working for a bit until I opened it up and re-seated the batteries to get it working again; my battery tester had showed they still had power.

They are now definitely dead. According to the manufacturer, above, the estimated battery life is about 7 or so hours. Replacement batteries cost more than replacing the entire toy so there’s no point in keeping it, I’m discarding it with the old batteries.

My niece loved the kitty shape but I think this time I will buy another laser toy that requires a different battery type. My cats happily chase any laser dot, it’s all the same to them and I’m not interested in re-buying this every time the batteries go.

If you don’t mind buying the pointer along with the batteries it does work, I’m just interested in something else. Three stars for a “meh” reaction.

My kitten loves laser toys but I’ve had the worst luck with them. They always seem to stop working after a few days. I ordered this one and I honestly wasn’t expecting much. We’ve had it for a month and it’s still going strong.

We play with it for about an hour a day, so it’s getting plenty of use. This is definitely the right laser toy for us.

My cats lose their minds over this toy. One who is overweight GALLOPS after the light from one end of the house to the other. My other cat who has cerebellar hypoplasia goes nuts and performs moves to catch the light that I never knew he could do.

It’s easy and comfortable to use. I’m giving extras to friends with cats.

In my opinion, this wand was clearly produced incorrectly. It is way too short for me to play with my kitten. I am used to longer wand toys. The ad was deceptive. And the packaging is not clear as to whether the cord was planned to be this short or if it was made wrong.

The laser beam is nice though.

This is a great value for the money and gives off a large enough light for my cats to see. They love to chase this around the house and even up the walls, under the tv and more! I just wish the switch was an on/off instead of having to hold the button down all the time.

Fortunately it is not a metal button so easier!!.
