Only used this for concrete form leveling so far, it works great for that purpose. Fast setup, fast mark-finding. The DeWalt tripod sold separately at Home Despot is a piece of junk; i am returning it.

Had to make an adapter by tapping a 5/8″-11 bolt with a 1/4″-20 thread; The adaptor works fine but the tripod is so rickety the level goes intermittent sitting on it, and the leg clamps slip and cannot hold the level up.

I am using an optical transit tripod with the right thread and very solid and easily adjusted.

This rotary laser level Is simple to setup and super easy to use. Within an hour of it arriving we had our concrete forms set for our building project and had figured out how much fill we needed for the grade on the next building.

Purchased this item to install a drop ceiling in a basement. It worked FANTASTIC !!! I would recommend for anyone who wants to make sure anything is level. Pictures, cabinets, trim work, drop ceilings.

This tool is a must for someone who enjoys being a fixit person!.

Way more than I need, but that is so much better than not having a feature or accuracy that I do need. I have found it to be well within the variances stated. I have not downloaded the software and used the Bluetooth feature, so I have not experienced the frustration others have stated with the programme.

In fact, every programme native on the unit is so easy to use on the colour display, it seems strange that the phone/tablet app would be difficult. I had previously purchased the Bosch 100 ft. Laser Measure and found the display on that unit to be MUCH more difficult to read.

The numbers are larger, in colour, and rotate to make it easier on these old eyes. On that point, reading outside in full light these eyes could not see the laser pointer at 10m (about 30′), but that’s not my primary use (my only complaint with this product, maybe a green laser beam would be easier to see like my laser level).

I am on my 3rd move this year since June. On a personal level I have used the Bosch Laser Measure to measure; rooms & bedrooms, windows, bathroom & shower spaces, the square footage of floors, ceiling & window heights and so many other things.

I moved into my dream apartment this year and I used the Bosch Laser Measure to measure the 12 foot ceilings and the 8 foot windows (!). I was grateful to have this tool instead of having to use a measuring tape.

I used it in several small residential renovation applications such as, the installation of shower curtain rods, window curtain rods, indoor laundry drying racks, custom shelving, moulding, etc. I use it anywhere I would use a measuring tape.

This tool is so handy when measuring large and small spaces. No more fighting with a tape measure. The target cards enable this tool to be used to measure objects as well. I used it as a level in a pinch.

I have tried a number of measuring tools in the past and was quite skeptical of the Bosch 135′ measure, but it has exceeded my expectations. My only complaint would be that it can be difficult to see over a greater distance outside when it is sunny out.

Other than that I have no complaints. It is very accurate, in the beginning of using it I double checked measurements many times and it was always right on. It has useful features like the ability to calculate surface areas, this can be useful for various tasks like figuring out how much flooring or paint you may need for a project.

I have found myself using this tool quite a bit for metal working as well, it’s not possible to hook a tape measure to pipe and the tapes with magnets usually aren’t strong enough. With this tool you just place the bottom against one surface and shoot the laser beam to the other.

Careful when you install! I have an older Dewalt 12″ miter saw. This went on with no problem but my saw had a wide washer retaining the spring mechanism for the blade guard (inside the guard; impossible to see unless you take the guard completely off).

this washer was in direct contact with the laser and rubbed hard when I activated the saw. Luckily I realized that the blade wasn’t spinning properly and looked for the problem (operated for about 3 seconds).

I was able to replace the wide washer (about 1. 5″) with a standard 1/4″ washer (about 3/4″) I had on hand. Even this limited contact ripped the sticker off the laser and scratched it up pretty good.

Any longer and the laser probably would have been destroyed. Also I was working outside in full sun so the laser was hard to see. Basically if it’s bright enough for sun glasses then the laser will be hard (but not impossible) to see.

The cut line is just to the right of the laser. Probably couldn’t fit a human hair between them. Great product if it installs without any trouble.

This laser guide will always divide opinion – people either think it’s a waste of time (“can’t see the line”, “won’t cut where the line shows”) etc. Or, it works for you, and when it does, it can speed up your cutting operations dramatically, especially when you’ve lots of sections to cut.

I took a bit of a risk and bought it for my Bosch GCM 800 SJ mitre saw. Nope, it doesn’t fit! Major panic, as it wasn’t cheap and I was stung for import duties too! After measuring everything, I discovered the centre hole is 10mm and the blade allen bolt on my saw is 6mm.

With nothing to lose, I manufactured a small bush on my lathe. I found that a steel bush with an outside diameter of 10mm, and an inside bore of 6mm and an overall thickness of 5. 75mm works a treat.

Don’t make it thinner than 5mm, as it might slip into the void and allow the laser to move out of alignment and don’t make it thicker than 5. 75mm as it will reduce the grip on the blade, which might slip).

Simply fit the bush over the fixing allen bolt, thread through the laser unit hole, then tighten up! Everything works fine. The blade is secure and neither slips nor vibrates. The line is visible and is perfectly on the left edge of the cut.

In bright sunshine the laser line is “just” visible, but I live in England so it’s not afrequent problem! So, do any of this at your own risk. I did and I’m really happy with the results. Despite having to make a part myself (Oshlun, please provide these, they’d cost you next to nothing and increase sales) I love this product and recently cut dozens of t&g boards without any messing about.

This is my second time purchasing this laser. This one replaces the one I bought 10+ years ago, that finally conked out. I love it. The laser is very reliable, easy to install and simple to replace batteries.

Very accurately indicates where the saw will cut on one side of the saw blade. It is an inexpensive upgrade that I recommend it to all. Carbide Processors was a pleasure to work with.

I am extremely happy with the laser square. it has made setting tile easier and faster. The 3 pins that hold it in place are helpful to keep it from falling off the wall or moving on the floor (FYI they are a little bit loose so some adjusting is necessary and don’t bump with anything).

The zipper on the case keeps sticking but is holding its own and not breaking so that is a plus. The laser is bright and accurate. Like any other laser you pick one side the other or center to keep accuracy.

It would be nice to have an alternate rechargeable battery supply and or power cord to keep it on for longer periods of time. over all very happy.

This laser level could not be any easier to use. No set up required, perfectly accurate, and multi-functional. All I had to do was put it in place and the alignment work was practically done; hanging pictures at the same level all the way across the living room was a breeze.

The 90 degree feature is super useful for establishing square flooring borders, and the multiple integral levels make it easy to get the flooring surface completely flat. Very impressed with the functionality of this laser level!.

STJ1390 is a great piece of laser cutter for beginners. I bought it to start a small advertising shop. Got it in 12 days, and everything was pretty good. Easy to put together in 1 hour. The software was easy to use, but the installation and setting took me some time to learn.

Many thanks to the customer service team, which was awesome in troubleshooting and I would give them more credit. I used it to cut signs with plywood and acrylic, and got fine results with clean and smooth edges.

I think this laser has a lot of potential to create many things, and I will try it on more materials. Overall, it is worth your money.

I got one of these machines for my woodshop. I could have bought a similar wood laser cutter elsewhere for almost $2000 less. So why buy this one? Quality and features. Unlike the cheaper ones, this machine clearly underwent a QC process prior to shipment.

It arrived ready to use. The mirrors were adjusted well enough to use the machine right out of the box. The mirror adjustment screws were retained with silicone to prevent movement in shipping. Unlike cheaper versions of these machines, the wiring was solidly connected with wire nuts, crimp terminals, and locking connectors and/or glue.

I found no loose wires. Earth grounds were solidly connected and electrically sound, I measured less the 0. 1 ohm to earth ground at both the power cord ground pin and the machine ground terminal. All non-crimped electrical connectors including PCB and power supply connectors were sealed with silicone.

Cables were well bundled and retained with zip ties. With this machine, I was able to attach a water tank, power it on, and cut. Its amazing for cutting 1/4 and 1/8 wood. I was happily surprised with the extras that are included.

You get the aiming red laser, a strip of LEDs that illuminate the inside of the box, a powerful internal fan motor, temp sensors on the power supply and the tube, and venting of the electrical compartment.

I thought I would have to add these myself. The only thing missing is an open-door shutoff switch for safety. You can easily add one of these with a microswitch and a two wire cable to the K+ – pins on the power supply.

Finally, a word about safety. CO2 lasers are invisible and thus EXTREMELY dangerous. Since you cant see the beam, it does not trigger a blink reflex. The first you know of a problem is when your retina boils.

Really. If you get one of these machines you MUST purchase a set of safety glasses. Wear them whenever the machine is powered on, whether the laser is active or not. Make sure the lenses you buy are marked with the proper wavelength and an OD number, representing factor of 10 reduction.

For instance, OD2 reduces power by 100, OD3 by 1000, etc. The wavelength of a CO2 laser is about 10600nm. The glasses should have an OD of at least 6 and preferably 7 for that wavelength. The lens will be marked something like 9000-11000 OD7+ directly on it.

A decent pair will cost $30-$50. If the lenses are very cheap, avoid them. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I was curious about CNC laser machines and bought one of these a couple of months ago afterthe instructions from Stylecnc are easy to follow. This brings me to an important point. I think its important to understand how a machine works before using it.

The software necessary to run the machine is free, its great. I was able to make some elementary engravings in a short time. More complex structures came in a few weeks. I made a lot of mistakes including cutting too deep, cutting too shallow, cutting too fast, and several others.

Mistakes diminished with time. I had to email Therese a couple of times and she got back to me quickly and effectively. Thanks for your help, Therese.

The device itself is great. However, i am totally shocked that such a sophisticated and expensive device does NOT come with any kind of detailed operating manual. I even called DeWalt’s customer service.

Even their own rep was surprised that a $700 piece of equipment does NOT come with an operating manual. Another interesting fact is that there is a small metal piece in the package (that appears in the picture on their Canadian website only) that is not mentioned anywhere in the description.

When I called their customer service, I asked about this piece, and even emailed them a picture of it; their own customer service had no idea what the piece does or is. I am very disappointed in DeWalt; they were never like this before – I know because I own numerous DeWalt tools that I have always been happy with, and that is precisely why I was willing to spend this much.

I’m seriously considering to return this item even though I really like the tool itself.

Two years ago I bought this to make lining up ceiling tiles easier but I keep coming back to it to speed up framing, laying tiles, laying out decking, leveling floor joists in old houses that have shifted and countless other things.

I even used it to trim my hedges! I now have the straightest and most level hedges in the neighborhood. 🙂 But seriously, I am a renovation contractor and this thing has paid itself off a dozen times.

I often get jobs based on the fact that I was so good at fixing other contractors messes using this level. True, I could have probably done it with another manufactures tool but I am a Dewalt guy and bought this one and it has performed flawlessly for two years.

The only trouble I had with it was seeing the line over 14 ft. distance on a sunny day while lining up a 36 ft second story deck. On that day I got over it by holding a white piece of paper over the area the line should have been to see it but have since bought the green laser detector for outdoor work.

Indoors I primarily use it just on the floor or attached to a Task extension pole that allows me to lift it to any height I need. Task sells an attachment that fits the base of the level and clamps to the pole.

Just picked up one of these lasers a few weeks ago and have been using it almost daily. I have used it for setting ADA grab bars and other commercial bathroom accessories, framing walls, setting welded and knock down frame doors, installing drop ceiling and I am sure more I cannot think of.

It is extremely intuitive to use right out of the box. I shouldnt say “box”, it is a very nice case with foam padding that does a great job holding everything in place and protecting it. Also you dont need an engineering degree to fit it all back in where it goes.

Fells very solid. Easy to use. Very strong magnet. I could go on.

This machine does a great job cutting and engraving, which makes it similar to every machine of similar power. Seriously, the laser part of these tools is pretty well figured out at this point and you know what its going to do.

To understand the advantages of a particular machine you need to look beyond the laser. What makes this machine special? The integrated camera and layout software. You can set your piece to be engraved in at literally any position, the machine snaps a picture, and you can easily layout your design (I usually import from svg, as Inkscape or another vector editing program is far superior to any native laser design software) and align it with the piece to be worked as it actually sits.

This is fantastic. Also, the fact the entire system is integrated is a big help. No cooling hoses or external chillers. Coming from using an older Boss laser that was aligned by manual measurement and a red laser indicator the integrated camera and ability to size your laserwork to the actual piece is a huge timesaver which also yields better results.

I do wish that the exhaust outlet was larger than 2. 5 inches as this causes quite a bit of drag, and noise, but its workable as it is. I haven’t done any very long (multi hour) engravings so I don’t know how long the cooling reservoir would actually keep up but it has been more than adequate for everything I have used it for so far.

I bought this bundle a few weeks ago. It shipped as four separate items, and three of them arrived as planned. However, the laser unit itself got delayed because FedEx apparently lost track of the shipment, and it bounced back and forth several times across the state before I called FedEx customer service for help.

The FedEx agents seemed sympathetic and I think they finally were able to get ahold of someone in the shipping warehouses, although even they had trouble getting their own people to answer the phone.

The unit came extremely well packaged, and the construction quality is excellent. Setup is extremely easy. I have already started to make some small projects out of the included wood and cardboard, and it is really convenient that the unit can automatically recognize which material is placed in the machine.

I added a 10-foot shop vacuum hose (Rigid LA2570) as an exhaust extension and used an old shop vacuum outside to help extract the fumes. There is a gap along each side of the work area door where some fumes can leak out and the extra vacuum assist really helps.

You can also increase the amount of time the included air filter fan runs in the app settings. The software application works well for basic functions, but I would like to see both english and metric modes for the design tool.

You can import a design in english or metric but when you use the design tool it is only in metric. Having the option to use USB, ethernet or WiFi is great since you don’t have to go through a server to get your work done.

Overall a great product. I do wish I had bought the rotary version though, as it would have opened up a lot of other design project possibilities.

Good tool for measuring rooms. Quick and accurate measurements. Can get measurements from one location in the room. Also good for tight spaces like crawl space or attic.

This is a second Blaze that I have purchased. First one is at home and this is at a second home that I own. These are great devices. They work fine, are accurate and most of all very easy to use. Sure beats a tape measure – especially when measuring up agains a wall where you just can’t get the tape measure to bend enough to be accurate.

The first one I have had for 6 years and it still works great. So, my guess is that they are durable and dependable.

Let me start off by saying this. It is slower in consideration to my larger, 45-watt CO2 laser that came from a company in Nevada (not putting any names out there). And that is where the downsides end.

This tool is AMAZING. Everything from the shipping, which only took 3 days compared to the three WEEKS it took for my larger laser to arrive. The setup was very simple, had everything assembled, aligned and running with an engraving in less than an hour, including Lightburn setup.

There has been ZERO issues running projects. I have even done some that went longer than three hours. On my other one, it’s hit or miss if the laser itself will just stop at “random”. Can’t really explain it and neither can tech support (although they think it’s a grounding issue).

But in short, this laser can do anything (engrave, cut, etch, cylinder objects, you name it) better than any other laser that I have ever worked with (and I have three). If you are relying on reviews to help you make a purchasing decision, then I would only recommend to wait until the 20 watt version is fully available.

If that is not an issue to you, then I HIGHLY recommend the Xtool D1. Aside from everything that I have already mentioned, I think one of the most important features is simply that this thing only weights maybe 10 lbs (not sure exactly, but it’s really light) meaning that it’s not necessarily limited to work in the shop.

Pick it up and go. Don’t even need internet to use. I can’t say enough about this thing and I am not one to write reviews. So if my review has helped you make any decisions, then I hope that it’s towards buying one of these.

Wish I would have before spending over $7000 on my CO2 laser. Keep up the great work XTOOL!!!!!.

This was my first laser engraver, so I do not have another to compare it to, but this is not my first tool/ equipment purchase. The order process was typical. The communication was little lacking, as the company has no USA staff.

All communication was delayed by a 12 hour time difference between the US and China. The unit arrived after only two days in transit, earlier than expected. Unboxing the xTool D1 remind me of unboxing Apple products.

No extra packing material, everything was laid out well in the package and it had that “this is not a cheap product” feel. The assembly instructions were concise and clear. Assembly time was ~45 minutes.

Having done it once, I feel I could now do it in half the time. The software that is “included” is a download. It was a little hinky to get it downloaded and installed, then a firmware upgrade was required to proceed.

After 10-15 minutes, I was past that hurdle and the machine was humming. The software is VERY basic. For almost everyone, it will not be sufficient to do much beyond very simple engraving. I bought Lightburn right away.

That said, I use the Laserbox software to learn basic settings like power and speed. Some presets are baked in to Laserbox and make it easy to learn how to set Lightburn for the best results. The machine works flawlessly, though I find it to be slow.

A lot of videos online are sped up to make it look faster than it is. A fairly simple 16″x16″ engraving (not a photo) that covered maybe 20% of the piece took 1-1/2 hours to complete. Other than speed, it works perfectly.

I recommend this machine to anyone just getting started with lasers.

This is an awesome laser. I love how simple the assembly was, and how quickly I could get started with projects. I am constantly amazed by this laser. I have made several pairs of earings, engraved product tags for my husband’s business, and made a few items for around the house.

I am in love with it. The only sound it makes is the fan as it runs. Adjusting the focus couldn’t be easier, the distance bar is attached and cannot get lost. Magnets hold it up out of the way when not in use, and one holdes it in place while you adjust the height needed for the material you are using.

I only have one negative comment; I could not update the firmware through the free software, laserbox basic. With help of the facebook group I found that there are two other methods for updating the firmware and now both laser box basic and lightburn works with it wonderfully.

I am in love even more so now.

I tried out the laser level with disappointing results. The 5point laser that I got from dewalt 2 1/2 years ago out performs this laser in its accuracy and low movement of laser as the spans increase.

You can see the difference in performance in 15ft by less than a 1/16. but the difference between the old laser and this one become obvious when we are trying to pass control points 3 to 4 floors (30 – 45ft)where the old one keeps a grouping of points 1/4in which is 1/8in off of true center while the new one is 1/4in to 5/16 from true center.

We have put the old and the new one to a head to head test and our 2 1/2 year old laser is more stable and constantly gives us better grouping.

I use this tool to do layout commercially and industrially. I am in a trade that this is a great time saver and is accurate. The product is a great value

I would like recharging battery option, but it works great and simple to use.

Does the job well. Not only do I like the laser choices but also the laser ability to show limes over 180 degrees. It is a little larger than my last laser but no to the point of it being a hindrance.

I would also prefer the lasers to start coming with onboard rechargeable batteries rather than having to supply them.

I was concerned about buying a reconditioned tool. The tool arrived clean with all accessories and works well. The beam was bright enough for indoor work and made projects much easier. The Bosch mounting bracket makes Bosch a great choice that allows the user to fine tune the beam location.

For about 80 dollars it is hard to go wrong.

As a residential electrician, I am often required to set my boxes at very specific heights and all being level. Especially for receptacles on kitchen counter tops. Also I need to find the location for lights based on dimensions of the room.

So the plumb feature is very handy for transferring a located spot on the floor up to the ceiling.

Easy to setup with auto-leveling. I used the laser receiver to record the existing grades for about 2-acres. It took more time to grid off the site than to record the the grades with the laser. I recorded about 250 spot grades in about 8 hours.

Great accuracy over a long distance. I shot grades over about 300 feet distance with no issues. An eye level would have been a good tool to help set the laser at an elevation that would capture a specific grade as a rough datum point.

Operated easily right out of the case. Receiver batter door a little difficult to open. Have not yet calibrated or attempted other features or limit of range. but has been excellent for leveling soil for a foundation and setting leach lines.

The auto-leveling is performed in just a few seconds and then it is up and spinning.

This is the first laser level square I have used so my views might be based in inexperience. The unit incorporates bubble levels but there is no mechanism for leveling the instrument. I consider this a serious shortcoming.

an examination of the unit reveals two features on the sides that were probably intended to accommodate leveling wheels. The unit is very sensitive to surface roughness. An uneven surface will interrupt the beam, rendering it useless.

I solved this problem by erecting a vertical surface at the point I wished to measure. This produces a vertical line which can be visually extended to the surface you wish to measure. Otherwise, the product is easy to use.

I haven’t used the supplied adhesive to mount the unit to a non-horizontal surface so I can’t comment.

I have 3 Bosh level/squares each for a specific use. Good investment at a reasonable price. Not necessarily good outside but inside it does the job well. My layouts have been accurate and there are no surprises when doing the installation after using one of the tools.

This is a good use of technology and the Bosh name does stand for quality. The recommendations came from friend and were verified because I called the CPO advisors and learned as I have in the past.

I read several reviews that were almost a deterrent in my purchase. I am a Bosch believer, I have been buying Bosch for 30 years. I will agree that tools are not made like they used to be. I can see that this square may not work in bright light so that may be a consideration.

All tools have limitations, so it may not work for everybody, but I like it!.

I’m slowly building up my power tool collection and already have a table and miter saw, but have really been wanting a circular saw. I build furniture and do other woodworking projects around my house and I loved finding one that’s safe and high quality but at such a lower price point than the other brands.

I will be using this quite often so may eventually need a heavier duty one but for now this is perfect.

I’m a big fan of Ryobi, great quality for a great price. I bought the 6-piece tool kit that comes with a 5 1/2 inch cordless circular saw, but that’s not going to hold up to bigger jobs that take longer, so I wanted a 7 1/4 corded saw.

I initially had bought the CSB125, but it doesn’t have a laser which is very useful. This CSB135 is a much better tool, and I got it cheaper here to eBay than the new 125 had been. Glad I bought it.

I really enjoy using this power saw with the laser guide light. It even keeps the line blown clean which helps keep it on the mark. A very good power tool at a reasonable price! Changed the blade to a finish blade and it handles it just great.

I have purchased this as a treat since it is not a cheap thing. I have to admit that really do pay for quality! It is fabulous ñ clean and perfect engravings and cut outs without any problems! I have made many pieces with various design to test the capabilities of this machine and I found nothing that would impair its performance.

This laser cutter and engraver delivers professional quality work. I was shocked at the perfect, smooth edges and clear engravings when I first received it and tried it out. What a machine to have! It is especially good if you want it to be versatile in terms of surfaces.

This one can tackle wood, metal and even rubber (to name a few!) without any problems! Superb product.

If you think this is too much to pay for a laser cutter and engraver ñ it is definitely not for this product. It is the best laser cutter/engraver combo I have ever used ñ a pleasure to work with. I engrave and laser cut a lot of things for a living and this was certainly the best business investment.

It works pretty quickly, is precise in its performance and works with a wide range of materials.

The lase machine works better than I expected and is quite useful for the tasks I bought it for. The installation and setup were very quick and intuitive. I like that I can connect to the unit wirelessly from a PC or laptop.

The manufacturer does not put much stress on it, but the unit is equipped with a built-in exhaust fan. I was impressed with its power and how it works. When the machine is on, the fan spins at a relatively low RPM, apparently just providing cooling for the electronics.

But when you cut, it AUTOMATICALLY turns to the a high RMP and then falls back to the low shortly after the job is complete. May seem like a little thing, but very clever and saves both the power and sanity – the fan is very noisy when on full throttle.

The other thing I really wanted to highlight is the camera preview. This is much more than just a convenience and is a real time saver, helping avoid the frustration typically associated with aligning graphics to cut relatively to the work piece.

I have successfully used it for precision cutting of plastic films and sheet blanks to different sizes and shapes. I have not used it for engravings though. For my purpose, the tool seems to be ideal.

The software is very simple, rather minimalistic, but works for my purpose. Overall, very satisfied with the product, hoping that it will last.

Not only is it compact, but so precise! The high resolution it provides is stunning, while the speed at which it works is high. It is very easy to convert your designs into various engravings and you can even use Word instead of an art program such as Photoshop or Inkscape.

Alongside that, you can use a wide variety of materials with it- from simple cardboard, through fabric, to steel! This product allowed me to customise lots of things bags, frames, scrapbooks, even make stamps for the kids to play with.

Very pleased with both the customer service and the product itself. Will definitely be ordering more!.

I haven’t used the product yet but the delivery of the product was very quick and I’m in general happy with it. I just opened the box and was reading the manual and saw that two screws were missing, but other than that it all looks good!.
