20 Best Large Suv For Towing (2023 Updated)

After research I decided this hitch would be the best one for both price and ease of installing. I received it on time but in a package that was less then appropriate. Now I see why others had issue with installing it.

Picture included. I was to excited to put an extra paint coat on it so i hope it doesn’t rust where the paint chipped off. Installation was quite easy except for being alone while installing. I did take the full size spare out( and use to help install) i also used a craftmans tool box to hold the hitch up being alone and the weight of the hitch is quite heavy.

I did not lift the end just did it while on the ground. I do recommend having or purchasing a torque wrench (harbor freight) for install. Also doing what the diy videos show and clean the bolt holes, the bolts will go in better.

I would recommend this hitch brand as I have had curt as well and they both do as they are designed for. I have a cargo carrier that I load up for trips and camping. I only gave 4 stars due to packaging that should have been better.

I’m a 125lb woman and was able to install by myself (husband was at work).

This was not an easy job at all. The exhaust system had 3 connections points that had to be taken off to drop the muffler to have access to mounting the hitch. Drilling the hole was okay and feeding the lugs, washers and nuts was okay.

The heat shield was a real problem as I cut it as shown in Utube videos but it was not enough and the shield was blocking one of the attachment bolts, so snip, snip and I got it in place. The rubber straps to reattach the exhaust system (3) were totally difficult to do especially the two on the muffler.

The tail pipe was okay. I had to lube the rubber fasteners and stretch the hell out of them to reattach. Finally got it. Looks great, works great. Oh year I was NOT on a life but on the ground.

I love this hitch. I was lucky that all the holes on my frame were pre-drilled and made the job very easy. The instructions were really faded so I couldn’t really use them, but I printed out my own from their website and everything went really smoothly.

Only took about an hour and could have done it quicker if I had an impact wrench to take out the old rusted bolts. I was also really lucky that my full size tire still fits up under the bed of the truck.

Just a note, I only had to take one bolt off the frame so the bumper stayed in place for me. The side bumper braces I had to take off so I could get to the bolts, but it was no problem putting them back on.

Purchased this hitch receiver for my 2021 Ram 1500 Bighorn with the Class III Bumper Hitch. I didn’t realize you needed a separate hitch receiver to make it functional. It was definitely a cost savings instead of purchasing the full trailer hitch unit.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a 1/2” hex driver to start the install, so I had to visit a local auto parts store. Installation was easy, took about 30 minutes, torqued the bottom bolts to the recommended ft lbs, but the top bolt (350 ft lbs) exceeded my torque wrench capability, so I cranked it as hard as I could with the leverage I had.

Overall, I’m really happy with the product.

Mounting was easy. Used needle nose vice grip pliers to hold the tail end of the fish wires as far into the bolt holes as they would go. Allowed for more wire to work with on other end, crimping for the backplate and threading the bolts onto the wire.

Used the same pliers to clamp and hold the bolts once they were pulled through the backplates so they wouldn’t fall back into the frame while I was unthreading them from the fish wires. That was the only dicey part of the process.

Losing one or both of the bolts in the frame would have been a major headache. But it worked and I’m loving the hitch. Highly recommend.

Bought this hitch nervously as it was an “open box” all sales final product. Was marked as scratched and chipped. Showed up in two days in fresh packaging with all parts and pieces. Looks fresh as the day it was made.

No major scratches at all so it leads me to believe the standards are pretty high for this company. We were very very pleased.

I feel as though I got what I paid for since I needed a 2 hitch receiver for my Sienna. I thought I was getting a Curt brand receiver and it even came in a Curt box and the hitch receiver was U-haul brand.

Personally, I dont care since it was black and fits my van great and gets the job done. But clearly the Curt product was switched for a U-haul, hence the three star review. The U-Haul product does work well and is secure to get the job done.

Got 5his to mount a snowplow on my 2016 JKU(haven’t got the plow yet). The instructions are very basic, but it’s literally 6 bolts. The toughest part is fishing the wires through for the bolts. Getting it on was a pain by myself so you might want a friends hands to help.

I had to pound it on but it’s solid steel so you won’t hurt it. Overall I was happy with the purchase.

I ordered the Curt Class III hitch for my ’02 Sienna. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Installation instructions were simple and clear. Just dropped the spare tire and released the muffler from its rear hanger, and with four bolts the hitch was installed.

I really like how the hitch tucks up under the rear bumper with only the receiver visible. The hitch is well-made and beefy. I will be using it mainly to mount a 5-bike hitch rack but will likely find other uses too.

I would recommend.

Very easy to install. Look up Watch U-Hauls install video to learn a couple of tricks. “Drawtite hitch install 2014 Ford Explorer” Not as hard to wrestle in place as I expected. Since the truck has dual mufflers, I just rested the hitch across the top of the mufflers.

Although it is not visible in picture, mine came with the little tab welded to the hitch so you can install a plug connecter mounting bracket. I am very happy, this is a very clean looking install.

This hitch, despite what some of the other reviews state, is an easy to bolt on hitch that required no special skills to install. It does NOT come with hardware, which some reviewers complained about but it does not NEED any since the hitch utilizes existing bolts/hardware.

The instructions are well laid out and easy to understand if you actually need them (I did not). One note to ease installation. The muffler needs to be unbolted from it’s hanger, which is easy enough however despite that the fact that muffler is unbolted, the operating room above it to access a mounting bolt is quite small.

Unbolting will require the necessary socket but also realistically requires a universal joint attached at the point of the socket with a 6 inch extension. To make the job easier, since there is no swing room for a wrench, an impact gun with a universal joint will make life far easier for this install, specifically for the bolt above the muffler (that’s what i used) but it’s not mandatory.

Also, this hitch is compatible with “stow and go” seating, which is on my van (2012 dodge grand caravan). This is a two man install only because it’s quite heavy and wide. A floor jack will suffice if you don’t have a second set of hands to hold the hitch up as you perform the install.

Just figured I would offer my two cents.

INSTALLED ON A 2011 HONDA ODYSSEY FOR USE WITH CARGO TRAY. HARDEST PART WAS REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE PLASTIC PIECE ON LEFT SIDE. MAY WANT 2 PEOPLE TO MAKE JOB EASIER. I SPRAYED WD40 IN TREADED HOLES BUT HAD NO PROBLEMS.

GET ALL BOLTS STARTED BEFORE TIGHTENING THEM DOWN. WISH I KNEW HITCH WAS THIS EASY TO INSTALL BEFORE I HAD ONE PUT ON MY CRV.

We have 3 BIG dogs and it’s big jump up into the back (and sides) of our SUV. It’s not good on their joints to be jumping from such a high vehicle and on more than one occasion a couple of them have fallen backwards while tying to jump INTO the vehicle and hit their heads on the pavement because I was unable to catch them.

This breed is susceptible to hip dysplasia and 2 of our dogs compete in Dog Agility so we try to put as little stress on their hips as possible. This step is easy to use and rotates out of the way easily and smoothly when not in use.

Our dogs all immediately understood how to use it – no training required. Installed in a few minutes. A lady who saw us at an Agility Trial using this step just loved it and was going to purchase one as well (she had been hauling around a ramp to get her dogs in and out of her SUV).

I have 2 x 45kg Bernese Mountain Dogs. They are 8 1/2 and 10 1/2 years old and although they have always enthusiastically jumped up into our Audi Q5 SUV, at their age I prefer them not to jump. This step was easy to install and easy to use and twist back under the car when not in use.

It is sturdy and stable and doesnt wobble to frighten my dogs when they step up or down on it. I have also used it to reach the door of the car when cleaning it. I have always wanted one of these as I find the dog ramps big, bulky and heavy and a pain to store in the car.

I order the Twistep for my golden retriever, Jamie. I went from a two door to a SUV for her. I didn’t want her to jump up or down as I am concerned about her hips. At first, I went to Lexus to see what I needed to do.

They told me I would have to replace the bumper with one that has a hitch (parts $520, installation $450). I thought that was insane. I spoke with my salesman and he told me to go to Uhaul. $233. 75 parts and installation.

I love it. Jamie loves it and now likes to go out with me. I felt so bad watching her getting in and out.

Hallo all RC-Kit Car Lovers, This a Tamiya top of the range product. With plus minus 1’800 pieces. And as always designed with highest precision. A word of warning!! This model is only for people with experince from Tamiya kits.

I have bulit about 20 Tamiya models. I made it with all options and had to modify the plastic parts to make it possible to get all the wiering through in a proper way. I also needed 6 Cans of Tamiya original Paint for the chassis (Imported from Germany as Tamiya paint in baned in Switzerland) I don’t recomend the substitute paint.

I will also recomend Tamiya original screw drivers. Can be bought from Sutter Meggen in Baar. I wish you all good fun during the +- 200 hours building time.

a very nice kit from tamiya , well posted on to me from a German supplier at what was a good price or so i thought having bought from Germany before. i had forgotten we were out of the common market so import duties cost me more, my fault , but i am happy with the kit.

A very well designed model, by a well respected manufacturer, assembly is well described in the comprehensive instructions. A lot of enjoyment to be had building and operating this model.

I purchased this to replace a Demco Commander that I used for several years. This tow bar is lighter and as sturdy as my Commander. The mounting end was set to a 1. 5″ rise and it was difficult to remove the bolts to reverse it to drop 1.

5″ but I was able to do so. I also had to remove the bar that holds the electrical cable and reposition it from below the tow arm to above it. Demco provides multiple rails to allow this so it was easy enough to do.

My Commander was in good shape (Demco builds sturdy products), but it was difficult to unlatch it from my tow vehicle if not perfectly flat. This new bar can be released on a non-level surface so there is no longer a need to take a mallet and screwdriver and pound the baseplate pins out.

I haven’t tried the quick release yet, but Demco invented the tech to do this so I am confident it will work as it should. The tow cables that come with Demco tow bars are sturdy. They mount on the tow bar with clips that hold them in place but still allow the cables to pull in either direction, something I like about Demco tow bars.

I plan to sell my old Commander and this one should last as long as I need it to.

So this little bar is amazing. I’ve pulled big trucks cross country with it. Pros: Very well built. Solid. Not nearly as heavy as expected. Very easy to hook to truck doing the towing Cons:I feel like it needs a secondary lock to keep bars extended.

If vehicles are taller or shorter than towing vehicle it’s a bit unnerving to pull. Adapters, could use some other adapters for more convenient use. Thoughts: It works great, but I think it should be adjustable in height to accommodate a more straight pull.

Adapters could be built to attach to the truck. I home built both items for convenience and think it’s marvelous.

Another great product from Demco. I purchased this tow bar to tow a Honda CRV. Fit, finish,and function is top drawer. The instructions were well written. It is really easy to connect and un-connect the car.

Best of all and the reason why I purchased the Dominator is it’s light weight. Love, love, love it.

DO NOT BUY!!!! My son received this tow truck for his bday and he was so happy and excited not many remote control tow trucks out there. Well after putting in new batteries in both the truck and remote, the remote loses connectivity.

I literally have to remove the batteries from the remote for them to sync up again. I have read and seen other reviews and this seems to be the same issue everyone is experiencing. This is frustrating to be taking the batteries out like every 5 mins.

DO NOT BUY!!!!.

My son is going to absolutely love this. First off, this toy is WAY bigger than I was expecting. When I walked out to a 3 foot package from target on my front porch I was pretty confused. My son loves everything trucks and cars and, in my opinion, this tow truck blows his other tow truck toys out of the water.

Not only is it large, it has working lights and sounds, and a lot of moving parts which is great for kids like him who love to figure out how things work. Great value for the price. If you’re thinking about this toy for a kid who loves trucks, think no further.

My boys are ages 2 and 4 years old and they haven’t put this toy down since they got it. They both adore playing with trucks and vehicles of all kinds but a tow truck is one that we dont have in our collection so I think that its uniqueness is what really draws them to it.

It is realistic and has a hook and pulley system on the back just like a real tow truck and it actually works. The truck makes sounds and you can open the doors and the hood to see the engine inside.

I’m glad to have this set in our collection and I recommend it to any child who loves trucks. So much fun.

I’m using this tent with a 2010 Subaru Forester, and it fits great. Some small gaps between the ‘boot’ material and the surface of the car, but by design it’s just not going to have a 100% seal there.

The ‘boot’ features a stretchy elastic part that encloses the rear of the vehicle, with a second ‘extra’ flap of material that lays just inside the stretchy part to help keep out bugs and rain. I’ve never had issues with bugs getting in, even having a light on inside the tent all evening.

I’ve used this for a little over a year now and it has never once rained (I live in West Texas), so I can’t speak to its ability to keep water out, but I *can* speak to its ability to withstand heavy winds, and it does that very well.

I typically only stake it out (and secure the straps to my car) and don’t use guy lines, and it’s been fine through plenty of high plains windy nights. Adding guy lines would certainly make it even more solid.

The zippers on the windows and doors work well and I’ve had no issues with them snagging or breaking. I currently put my portable toilet in the screen room. It’s plenty private, and this way I don’t have to leave my dogs to walk to the campground facilities.

I love the screen room feature for this reason. The height of this tent makes it feel very spacious. I love the skylights, and how much air flow you can get inside. I’m a woman, and I can put up this tent by myself in about 5 minutes.

I ditched the carry bag a long time ago, only because I needed to fit this tent in my cargo box on top of my car and the only way to do that was to take everything out of the bag and place items individually in the cargo box.

This works great for my needs. I would like to get a hard-wall camper someday, but honestly this thing is pretty dang nice for a tent. I needed something affordable that would be more comfortable after adding a second dog to my pack during the pandemic, and this fits the bill.

I love that I can utilize the back of my car as well as this tent– I currently have a mattress in the back of my car and use the tent area as ‘living space. ‘ I’m thrilled with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who can’t quite afford a camper but would like a bit more comfort than a regular tent.

Did a lot of SUV tent research. Found a few much cheaper tents but none appeared to be able to accommodate large/full-sized SUV’s like this tent. I’ve got a Suburban and it was so nice and cozy having the rear connected.

Plus the side screen porch along with the extra rain cover added extra insulation from the late evening/early morning chill. The overall construction of the tent (material, sewing, poles, straps, clips, stakes, etc) are legit.

Only time will tell if everything holds up to justify the price tag (which is definitely not cheap). But after one 3-day camping trip (with a 7 month ago btw) I’m very impressed and pleased with the product.

Great product and great price from Summit. When installing they recommend a couple things and I definitely agree. An exhaust pliers really helps with getting the bushing off the rod on the tailpipe section, and you are really going to need an extension on the torque wrench for those bolts on the frame.

Looking forward to camping!.

This is the 3rd Curt trailer hitch I have purchased. And it is a very high quality hitch like the first two. Installation was as easy as can be expected. It is well designed for the intended purpose.

The only issue I have is that the cross bar is visible from behind the Sedona. It’s the same with other manufacturers but I’m slightly disappointed because the crossbar on the Curt hitch on my Chrysler Town & Country is hidden behind the bumper for a cleaner look.

Otherwise very pleased.

The item is a real piece of art. Fit very well my Kia Sedona 2016. Not too much effort. I was under the impression it was going to be smaller. Is big and weights about 50 pounds. But looks very good and there is no effect other than the extra weight on the vehicle.

Is going to be another 40 bucks yearly in gas to have it there. But I am very happy with it. Good construction, good appearance It does the job perfectly ok. Looks like factory install.

I put this together and followed the very vague directions. The bolts on the front hitch part come mounted to a bracket for each side. The directions said to torque the top bolts but did not say what to do with the bottom ones.

They are the ones that keep the bars from moving. So, we tightened them down with a wrench. I towed my vehicle about 400 miles before one of those bolts broke off. Maybe they were not supposed to be tightened.

the directions did not elaborate. Not only was I out the cost of the tow bar because I cannot find a replacement bolt set up but, I was left stranded without a way to tow my vehicle, 400 miles from home.

Buy one already assembled and safe yourself a nightmare.

The tow bar looked quite acceptable quality wise, and I was pleased until I assembled it. The two main bars from the hitch to the towed vehicle are each made in 2 sections joined together during assembly with steel inserts.

Unfortunately, the steel insert has too small a diameter to be a snug fit inside the main bars. After tightening the 4 bolts holding them all together, the fit is so loose that the bars wiggle and rattle.

Tightening the bolts to the recommended torque did nothing to correct the looseness. Neither did making them tighter. This appeared dangerous to me, and I promptly returned the tow bar to Walmart. Not a good product, and it’s especially disappointing that it has the Reese brand on it.

The only possible explanation for having the bars in 2 sections is to make it fit into a smaller box so it takes up less shelf space at Walmart. Husky has a tow bar that can be viewed online that appears to be made by the same manufacturer using the same components except the main bars are each made in one piece.

And it’s at a lower price than the one with the Reese branding at Walmart.

I purchased this tow bar to tow my son’s (Heavily modified) Suzuki Samurai up to the off road park behind my Chevy Blazer. The tow bar was easy enough to mount (drilling required) with the included hardware.

It has a two piece arm construction. There is a solid metal insert that goes between the two arm pieces to add rigidity to them, but the insert remains slightly movable inside the arm pieces, creating a little slop in the tow bar.

Because there is no brake control on the towed vehicle, the tow bar “clunks” and jerks a little on stops and starts. Probably not noticeable behind a large tow vehicle like a motor home, but is noticeable behind my Blazer.

Probably would be better if inserts fit tighter into arm sections and bolts would squeeze it down to make a tight fit (no slop). Other than a slight “clunk” every now and then, it works fine. This tow bar is rated for 5,000 lbs.

I believe this would be extremely noisy with a lot of jerkiness trying to tow that amount of weight.

Shipped quick, easy install. Had my 15 year old put it in and it took all of 15 mins. Only issue the top bolt requires a hex wrench that is bigger than anything in stores. I just used channel locks but it seemed odd.

For being called a Steel Classic, this Truck is mostly plastic. The Cab is Steel, but everything else is plastic. I think if it was just called a Tonka Truck, it would make more sense. The wheels spin nicely, the tow arm moves up and down, the latch to keep it up or down works most of the time.

The stickers are almost all placed correctly. But the plastic on the end of the tow arm is a bit weak and when trying to tow other vehicles, a slight bump will drop the load. I think i was just expecting more from a Steel Classics series item.

It feels like a knockoff Tonka, or like it was outsourced to save money.

I was so excited to see the Steel Classic Tonkas available! Having fond memories of the total metal Tonkas we had played with. Well I suppose this is as classic as it will ever get. There still is a lot of plastic features on it, but the tow truck brings such excitement to my grandson and he was not disappointed one bit.

And that is what matters. This is a high quality, well built and no doubt sturdy, long lasting toy. Not as I remember, but much better than any others we have tried that are mostly plastic.

Tonka has done an amazing job with this toy truck. It’s large easy for kids to grasp. Metal design makes it durable , paint is so cute ! The details are realistic and functional. You can actually tow another toy with it.

The wheels are bigger so Roa easy for kids to move it all around in various material.

The installation would have been simpler with instructions and new bolts, both of which were neatly tucked into the receiver opening. If only I had known sooner than later. So, words to the wise: (1) After opening the box, look inside of the receiver neck; and (2), there are install videos available on U-Haul’s website.

The hitch came as described. Took about an hour due to the plastic splash covers, and we had to remove one to get it on there correctly, but overall it was easy to install.

Fit great, fast shipping. Was easy to install.all hardware included.

It was quick and easy to install once I cleaned out the surface rust on the bolt holes of my vehicle. The one thing I will say was not correct was the wire to pull the bolts through the inside of the bumper into their spot for mounting the center beam.

It came up a couple inches short I’m assuming because the bumper looked shorter in the picture for the instructions. Luckily I had another one from a previous tow package I mounted on another vehicle that worked.

I purchased a Draw-Tite hitch for 2017 Equinox and I am very happy with both the high quality of the hitch and how easy it was to install. It fit perfectly and was a very easy and uneventful install.

This is the 2nd Draw-Tite hitch I purchased (other was 3 years ago) and both are excellent products.

I have had two Draw-Tite trailer hitches before this purchase,both came installed on pick-up trucks,so I knew it was a quality product. This is the first one I’ve had to install myself,and it could not have been easier.

It only took about 25 minutes and that counted getting tools out and puting them up. The hitch hides well under the rear facia and is still easily accessable.

Out of my 6 kids, 5 of them played with this! My oldest is 16 and obviously didn’t have interest, but my 13yo, 9yo,6yo,4yo and 2yo ALL loved this. They played with this for hours on end. The sounds of this were not loud loud either like most toys.

They only wished that the towing part actually came out to put other cars in it. Other than that, they loved it! I highly recommend this for boys and girls!.

My son really like the truck, he loves to play with the truck and with the car attached. The car can move back and forward. The truck has sound that makes the game more realistic and fun. My kid used other brand cars to play with this toy pretending that they are all broken.

For me, the quality isn’t not great but looks like the kids doesn’t care about that. He loves his toy.

My son liked this tow truck and was entertained a few hours. It has a rolling wheel to pull the little yellow car into the tow truck. Unfortunately, the little hook that attaches the cord to the yellow car broke after a few hours after receiving it.

My son still plays with it but he’s not as excited as I thought he was going to be.

This is such a cool little gift ! It is a great stem toy for kids to figure out how to load and unload a vehicle !! It is made well and will definitely endure a kids rough play !! The colors are vivid which draws kids in !! I love the fact of the materials it is made from !! This brand is the best and I’d buy all the toys.

I was cutting some tree trunks that had been dropped by a tree service, but found several 10 footers buried so deep in the mud that they needed to be winched out. However, I couldn’t get a strap around them due to the depth of the mud.

The wood was 3/4 of the way into the ground. I needed to find a way to attach the winch hook to the trees so I bought this tow hook and screwed it into the trunk with 1/2 x 3 lag bolts using an electric impact wrench.

It worked great! I used the HF Badlands 12k pound winch in the cradle that goes into the trailer hitch on my truck. The tree was heavy enough and stuck enough that it started to pull my truck, but a little perseverance worked.

The hook held, the winch performed wonderfully, and the tree came out. I had to repeat this procedure 3 more times that day. A perfect yet nontraditional use for the hook.

As long as you don’t go mudding up to your windows, This tow hook will work fine for you. Any light or medium pulling will do fine with this hook. From researching I found these cheaper tow hooks (curt as well) can straighten out when doing hard pulls.

Try not to pull at an angle or from the side as well. A straight pull will be your best bet. If you have no choice but to pull from one of these bad conditions, then be prepared that the hook may be damaged.

Learning the limitations of the product and techniques of pulling is the most important thing. The bolts are about 3 inches long and are a coarse thread. The nuts are nylon locking nuts. The retaining clip actually sits flush with the tip of the hook.

It’s not spaced out like in the picture. The mounting holes are made for a universal fit, in which you drill out your frame and bolt the hook onto the truck. But the holes will line up with a Wrangler YJ or TJ tow hook.

I used this on a 2000 Tacoma and it fits perfectly on the front of the frame. Remove the 2 tie down loops that come stock on the Tacoma. They are x2 size 17mm socket on both sides. Use plenty of WD40 and a long breaker bar.

Use a heavy duty 1/2 socket wrench. I broke my 3/8 socket wrench on these bolts. They are on tight. I couldn’t use the bolts from the tow hook kit or my original Toyota bolts. The tow hook bolts are the correct lengths at 3 inches, but the thread pitch is wrong.

The Toyota bolts are too short. I was able to find bolts from my spare bolt bin that were the 3 inches, the length was half smooth and half threaded, and the bolt was grade 10. You can find similar M12 x 1.

25 x 75mm bolts at your local hardware store but they will most likely be grade 8. (12mm x 1. 25 x 3inch is the same). The higher the bolt grade the stronger the bolt – Grade 8, 10, 12, and A2, (There may be decimals after each of these grades).

Grade 8 will work fine, but if you can find higher grade bolts, that will be better.

These are good quality hooks at a good price. However, I bought these for my ’92 Jeep YJ because a few reviewers said they fit, Not true if your looking to put them in the stock location on the front frame rails.

You’ll need the hooks that have three mounting holes (even though you’ll only use two) these only have two and the center to center is to short.

My child received and tested the Adventure Force Tow Truck and loved it. He got excited about the real life sounds it makes (backing up and loading). Only complaint I have if I had to have one would be that the doors do not open much and my child loves to open and close the doors to any and all vehicles.

These do open but not much, just a crack, and I’m afraid it will brake since he likes to open them up all the way.

My son love this tow truck, it is big and has a sound. Also, you can switch off the sound if you don’t want a loud or you just want a quiet playtime. Cute tow truck you can hook another car at the back.

Overall, i would say kids will love this tow truck. Perfect size and great product.

So make sure your transmission is in park and your transfer case is in neutral … google it. Also put the bumper mounts with the opening facing up. Instructions were crap, product was great. Also you need safety chains… not included… probably should be and just make it $99.

00. A long chain running through frame of both vehicles was pretty easy to rig. If you own a jeep and any other truck this is a great purchase! I had to kee looking to make sure it my jeep was still back there I couldn’t tell a difference going up even big hills.

This saved me literally thousands. My Jeep TJ broke down a few hundreds of miles from home. Had it towed via wrecker to a local mechanic whom the tow truck driver recommended. He tried to seek me an entirely new engine($6500).

I politely declined. I got my Jeep towed back home to a trusted mechanic with this tow bar. For under $700 my mechanic had the ol TJ running good as new. The tow home was going to be over a grand. This tow bar and a couple of tanks of gas was a lot cheaper.

Pulled smoothly and hitched up nicely once the brackets were put on. I look forward to taking the jeep along with us on vacations in the future, in tow.

I used this tow bar to pull a F150 with a Chev 1500 from St Louis to Houston. It worked well. I had to remove the bumper from the F150 and drill some holes on the plates to place the connectors, also, I disconnected the driveshaft from the rear differential, but it pulled the f150 very well and held up like a charm at 60-70 mph for about 800+ miles.

Now the only issue is to replace the bumper and remove the connectors, yes I replaced the driveshaft on the rear differential. I highly recommend this item over a tow dolly or trailer. If you have all the tools and chains, etc then it is a great option over the tow dolly and trailer for a quarter of the cost.
