20 Best Korean Toner For Acne Prone Skin (2023 Updated)

Glow Recipe is one of my favourite brands and every single time I buy from them I’m shocked because their products always smell so good and the whole aesthetic of the brand is adorable. I get worried about products that smell nice because I try to avoid added fragrance (idk if there’s added fragrance or if it’s just that the ingredients smell good in this case though) as it can cause irritation or breakouts but their products are yet to cause any issues.

This toner in particular really surprised me as I had been using the watermelon mist for a while because it has AHA, which tends to be more gentle compared to PHA or BHA. So, when I bought this because of all the positive things I’ve been hearing about it recently on YouTube and TikTok, I found it works so well! I was mainly purchasing it for the exfoliation properties of the PHA+BHA, however it also ended up being SUPER hydrating (not like overbearing and pore-clogging though).

It feels super light and refreshing, especially if you have a beauty fridge to keep your skincare cold, but even without the use of one it still feels so good. It makes my skin feel so clean and fresh when used right after cleansing (especially in the mornings.

Glow Recipe watermelon products hit different when you’ve just woken up and wanna feel like a Pinterest-esque beauty vlogger). What I especially like is that it has the perfect amount of everything; again, it was hydrating but not too hydrating.

The PHA+BHA that exfoliate and brighten did so without being too harsh on my skin (which was one of my fears and the reason why I usually opt for AHA over PHA or BHA). If you’re scared to use it because of skin sensitivity, don’t be! I’m a teenager so my skin is still a little reactive but this product caused no issues and made my skin better than before.

I first used it when I got it a few years ago, but then puberty was like “lol yeah I’m gonna make you look like a cheese and bacon roll” and so I stopped using it out of fear that it was the cause of my newly developed skin sensitivity and reactiveness.

I recently bought it again, however, and it works wonders! I’ve been trying not to over-exfoliate in an attempt to heal my skin barrier (I recommend korean beauty products for this if you have the same issue because I’ve noticed that popular skincare brands there tend to focus more on hydrating and building the skin barrier for preventative purposes rather than dehydrating to limit blemishes despite it just being a short-term solution because it risks weakening the skin barrier like some western products do) but this was gentle and hydrating enough to exfoliate without damaging my skin barrier, thus not impacting the protection from irritants and whatever outside dangers that cause breakouts.

Anyways, I love it and you should too. It’s like my holy grail.

This is my favorite toner. I have been faithfully using it since 2019. I’ve repurchased it at least four times now. However, within the last year REN redesigned the bottle to remove the pump dispenser for the product.

This is upsetting because the pump allowed me to get the right amount of product every time. With the new bottle set up, I get too much product on my cotton pad which leaves me with a lot more wasted product and a sticky residual feeling on the skin.

The old pump was perfect and I hope REN reconsiders bringing it back. Otherwise this formula is wonderful. I have oily skin with more noticeable pores. When I use this product I feel that my skin is lightly exfoliated and tightens.

It has never caused my skin to become dry. I recently implemented a retinol into my morning routine within the last month, along with using this product and my skin has not dried out. Considering the issues I have with getting too much product on the cotton pad, that says something.

I think that the product is wonderful and recommend it. I don’t plan on ever purchasing other toners as a result of how well it works for me even though I dislike the new dispenser. It’s the only reason this product is getting four stars instead of five.

I was recommend this toner by my cousin and it is expensive so I held off and continued to use a crappy astringent instead through this plague which hit our earth and after 33 years of having zero acne ever I all the sudden start having plugged nose pores and a bubbly chin because of having to soft steam my face meat with my hot dragon breath behind a mask for nearly 2 years.

Gross. Not cute. Then I finally relented and bought this witchcraft tonic and with in 3 days I was and continue to see a total 180? Not only that I literally glow like it’s golden hour all day. Its like been a month now and though it recommends to not use it around your eyes I swipe lightly and it’s also been getting rid of makeup stains / dark circles around the lid and slowly erasing the Scrooge sized money bags under my eyes as well.

This paired with my drunk elephant regiment and I am back to being carded for alcohol. It’s great right out of the shower after you’ve steamed and washed your face. It feels like having soda bubbles pop on your face and you literally can see your pores closing with each little tingle- I promise your skin won’t feel cleaner than this.

Bought this on a whim while at a store. The brand name looked familiar but never used the product before. I love this toner- it’s become a staple in my skincare routine now. I have dry skin and get a few hormonal, cystic spots around my period and this helps whip my skin back in shape.

I’ve used other glycolic acid products in the past that have helped for only a week or two before becoming problematic for some reason but this toner has not stopped working for me. Has reduced redness and dark spots.

I combine it with a thick moisturizer and my skin looks radiant. Just don’t physically exfoliate too rough prior to application or it WILL sting. It is an acid after all.

I love this toner! I’ve previously been turned away from toners because so many of them market themselves as exfoliators or an extra cleanse, but once I got this one, I can’t do my skincare routine without it! This toner markets itself as a 2-in-1, softening and hydrating the skin.

The formula is a thin, watery consistency that I find soaks into the skin immediately. I pour a small amount into my hands and rub / pat the product into my skin. It layers well with other serums and moisturizers.

Some reviews will say it leaves a tacky or oily residue, but I’ve never experienced this and actually love the way it makes my skin look and feel. After consistent use, this product has completely changed the way my skin looks and feels and I don’t go a morning or night without using it.

What really sold me was when I layered this with my retinol and then my AHA/BHA serum. This toner provided the perfect base for more abrasive/irritating skincare products (truly changed the game for me!).

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, but especially those with dry skin. Will be repurchasing as soon as I finish mine!.

The product is quite exactly as described! It works very well as a toner and I can feel the moisturizing aspect. I like to give my skin breathing room/absorption time before my next product. With this toner alone, my skin already would feel softer even on a dry day before my moisturizer.

My skin is combination. With moisturizer alone, sometimes I feel it’s a bit hit or miss how my skin will be during the day. With this product, I feel a better reassurance because it’s just about any time I use it, my skin turns out well.

Because my skin is already softened by this product, I feel any other product whether it be a serum or moisturizer, it applies and absorbs a lot better. Especially for days I plan to wear makeup or have more dry spots, I would apply two layers of this using my palms (I don’t use cotton pad for this product), and give it about a minute and fan my a face some so the product dries a touch and absorbs into my skin.

For anyone who uses toners and always wonders what’s the difference or just can’t see the difference, this is a product that for sure makes a difference.

Love. I have dry skin & this is the best post cleanse toner for me. I tried the Laneige milky toner moisturizer and that broke me out. This one I tap on and let it soak in, then layer my moisturizer/SPF and it doesn’t cause anything to pill.

Adding this to my my already moisture focused regimen has done wonderful things for my fine lines–giving this credit bc everythign else I use is great but this has boosted them. I also love to use this before I use a red light mask.

I haven’t used this on super humid days yet, so not sure if it’s a step I’ll continue in the summer. I will say it has been a nice extra step after being out in the sun, I’ve also sprinkled on chest & shoulders.

I (sensitive and severely dry skin type with mild-low mid level rosacea) got a sample of this in my last order and used it for the first time tonight. Did my usual cleansing routine and then threw this on, following the directions to a T.

Within about a minute my pores were much less noticeable and my rosacea was NOTICEABLY lighter and clearer. I had never been capable of getting the redness to reduce so much before. There was very minimal fragrance and it gave my skin absolutely no issues whatsoever.

It absorbed very quickly and left my skin looking supple and glowy. Even my dark circles under my eyes brightened. I 100% recommend after just one use, especially for those with issues similar to me.

I have combination skin, mostly oily. Definitely acne prone. I just purchased this toner three days ago and I love it. It’s super lightweight. Feels refreshing and calming to the skin. Not oily or tacky.

I have PCOS so there’s times where my breakouts are intense, like now. It’s been 3 days since I purchased the sample set that includes the serum as well (probably what brought my attention to this line) my acne is finally going down.

Could be my hormones, could be many factors or it could be INNISFREE. Just saying lol.

I’ve been using the clear line (cleanser, toner, oil) and I’m so pleased with how my skin looks AND feels. It looks soft, if that makes sense – like everything has been smoothed over. Also, I was nervous about the radiance oil making me oily – it does not! Just moisturizes and disappears into my skin.

I started with just the cleanser. Then, I tried the toner bc the one I was using ran out and reviews of the TB clear toner made it look promising. In that order, I got a sample of the oil. Honestly, the oil is what did me in officially bc it completed my whole routine! I am almost through my first bottle of this toner. I’ve used it twice a day every day for almost 3 months now. I’m 24 and have combination/ fairly calm skin. 1. isn’t sticky like other snail mucin products I’ve tried (cosrx) 2.

Noticeably brightens my skin 3. Can use with an AHA, BHA, or retinol exfoliator (I’ve used it with all of these) 4. Softens my skin a crazy amount. 5. Non-comedogenic I don’t like trying toners out because so many of them don’t do anything, but this one is a miracle formula.

I try for an anti-aging based routine. I use this product before my hanskin AHA toner, then an aveeno moisturizer and as a result the AHA does not dry out my skin. It’s amazing. I’ve done similar routines with salicylic acid and retinol, it seriously is perfect.

Wash-> snail rescue-> exfoliator -> moisturizer= glowing, hydrated, baby soft, clean, bright, even-toned, clear skin.

I was super excited to try this toner as I have been trying to incorporate snail mucin into my routine due to my winter dryness! However, I am nearly finished with the bottle and there honestly has been no difference in my skin tone or texture.

Personally, I enjoy using more of a watery toner. This toner is slightly thick upon application. Although it does absorb quickly, I felt that even after my first use, my skin was left feeling even more dry.

I use this toner every single day, AM and PM, and I was still noticing my skin starting to flake/dry out after usage. I’m not sure if it’s just my winter skin acting up, but for this product being 97% snail mucin, I was expecting a lot more hydration! I’m disappointed snail mucin isn’t working out for my skin 🙁 I rated this item 3 stars because it did leave my skin feeling refreshed which is always a plus, however it might just be too drying for me.

I first bought this to see if it would anyway help with boosting my complexion and PIH/dark spots on my face. I was hoping that this product would slightly help with my complexion and expecting it to cause acne breakouts and/or irritation on my sensitive skin.

Sometimes I get surprised by which products my skin decides not to react to. I was speechless with the results that this toner gave me. and then when my speechlessness recovered I couldn’t stop talking about it! My acne went from roughly 50% severe (average pencil eraser-head sized) and 50% cystic (dime-sized) to 40% severe, 30% cystic (Jan 2022) to 30% severe & 20% cystic (May 2022).

This product also lightened up my PIH from a dark brown to a less dark brown and helped (along with rest of my skincare) erase some dark marks. It smells like a tropical cherry and floral combo, sweeter, more tropical, less intense than the cleanser.

The smell vanishes within 3 minutes. This toner feels like a loose gel or a serum in my hands. I prefer to use my hands to apply this. Fat water toner has the EXACT SAME texture on the face as the Avène anti-imperfection concentrate.

I 100% believe that there were some cosmetic formulators/scientists/chemists shared between the teams behind these products. On top of it, both companies have French connections (Avène is French and Fenty Skin is co-owned by LVMH).

You cannot convince me otherwise. The packaging is nice, pretty, and sleek. While I usually prefer pumps for serum, I like this method of pouring out the toner as for me, the toner is too liquid-y to be a proper serum.

I like the quantity, 50 mL lasts ~1. 5 months sporadically used (1-2 times a week) and 150 mL is enough for alternate day application on my face for 4 months. A staple in my skincare routine & must-have product in regards to my acne, PIH, and dark marks.

Strongly recommend.

This is the only product in the line where I know the only issue that came up for me could have came from. I ordered the set that included the total remove it all cleanser, toner, and the moisturizer.

However, with the toner, since it does include witch hazel, it dried out my skin a slight bit. I’d like to mention that I have really sensitive skin and my skin always gets irritated when trying out new products and I experience bad redness although none of these products made my face red which is a first and something I was beyond impressed with.

I have never suffered from acne besides one year in high school or have ever had oily skin and I have never suffered any skin condition such rosacea, eczema, or psoriasis. I only like to use witch hazel on my face whenever I have a small stubborn pimple, because it usually does the trick.

However, I don’t really like to use just witch hazel on my face, because my skin is way too sensitive for that. However, after going through my skincare routine with these products, most likely from the toner, I experienced a little bit of peeling only outside of the area surrounding the outside of my lips, which I thought was kind of weird, no where else on my face, just that specific part.

Also, I experienced no redness at all which is something quite shocking to me, my skin did not feel warm and hot, and I only experienced all little discomfort from my skin on the area surrounding the outside of my lips, because a couple hours later after using all the products I noticed, small white flakes surrounding just that area on my face.

Whenever, I have used a bottled of just which hazel alone from the drug store, it does not matter what brand, all brands that I have used cause my skin to peel by really drying it out and I get a lot of white flakes.

However, with the fat water just a slight bit of peeling because I only had a few white flakes appear on my face on just that spot of my face. I experienced no redness at all from this product alone or the other ones in this skincare line, which I’m amazed with and it’s very difficult to find something that actually works on your face when you have extremely sensitive skin like me and works good for your skin skin, because I did not get any redness at all and my skin did not feel like it was burning for once.

I would like to mention that the white flakes were gone after I splashed just some water on my face and my white flakes were removed and you weren’t even able to tell that my skin even slightly peeled in the first place, which I thought was really great and whenever I put some just some witch hazel alone on my face, the peeling and white flakes never go away after wetting my face with water, they only go away 2 days later after I last used the witch hazel.

I thought the fat water was still good, but would probably be the only thing I wouldn’t reorder after I finish this one that came with my set I ordered, because I don’t find it necessary, since I have extremely sensitive skin and anyone with sensitive skin like myself, I don’t think it’s necessary if the fat water did that to you.

However, I do want to mention that I think anyone wouldn’t mind using this product, who has any other skin type besides those who have sensitive skin like myself and I thought the product was still good.

Only issue that came was that it did dry up my skin slightly, because of some white flakes surrounding that spot on my face and no redness from extreme irritation and no burning at all, which I thought was still great, because for me it’s so hard to find a product that does leave my face all red and feels like it’s burning my face.

I think all other skin types would think that this product is still great, besides those with sensitive skin. This is the only reason why I would avoid this specific product in the future, because of this small issue that resulted after using the entire skincare routine and I don’t think it was a must have for me and why it’s a pass, overall very impressed with the other two products, besides this one.

I have combo dry skin, and when it’s hot-humid-sticky weather, I get tiny zit like bumps around my T-zone. Needless to say, this toner is used for this weather. My skincare routine is catered to the seasons, so it changes as needed.

I don’t wash my face with soap twice a day, I do it once a day so I don’t strip away too much of my natural oils. I feel like this toner could have a higher performance potential on healthy “skin barriers”.

I didn’t get this to “shrink” my pores, rather I got this to protect my pores from clogging invasions from a multitude of foreign threats. I like to apply this toner after light exfoliation to avoid dead skin cells from teaming up together and clumping.

I do get a light tingling sensation when applied, and I do notice some shine control where my problem pores are. It helped reduce the look of enlarged pores. I like to spread the product and lightly pat the product into my skin where I need a bit more help.

I like that it has vitamin C and niacinamide, so it’s a pretty good summer toner to apply for improved spf benefits from sun protection. I personally wouldn’t use this toner on dryer weather like winter.

My go-to is Laneige or Fresh for that. This product works for me, and good luck for people still looking for a product that can work for them.

Never used any Hero products, but I was intrigued after reading reviews. I’ve extremely dry+ sensitive skin. Having sensitive skin means no fragrance, no harsh chemicals. etc, I won’t bore you with details.

So, I was super pumped, but scared bc tbh, I’ve only used maybe 1 or 2 toners in my lifetime–everything breaks me out. After cleansing, I pour the toner onto my clean palms and pressing on my face for better absorption.

I’ve also tried using with cotton pad and the pad just soaks up majority of the products, so I prefer the clean hands technique. I absolutely LOVE the texture of this toner–its not watery nor thick, it’s just perfect.

You can definitely see the capsule particles, but you can’t physically see them on your face after application. I’ve been using this for about a week and I can report back, it has not broke me out, in fact, it has proven skin texture and hydration.

I’ll absolutely keep repurchasing this toner and if you’re thinking about it, DO IT! It’s amazing and affordable. -dry+sensitive skin girl approved! I LOVE THIS! lol.

Not my favorite hero product, tbh. I have really sensitive, acne prone, dry skin which gets a little greasy on the forehead and nose by the end of the day. I use the Prebiotic Moisturizer (which I LOVE) morning and night, and tried a sample size of this out of curiosity.

Pros: applies beautifully and makes a great base for sunscreen and concealer, pleasant scent. Cons: ended up breaking out in little red and white heads on my cheeks and forehead. I gave it a week of use all over, then limited it to the places that weren’t breaking out, tried it only under sunscreen without moisturizer, but kept breaking out after almost three weeks.

Oh well. I love almost everything else from Hero, so don’t he afraid to try things and see what works for you.

Decent toner & lasts forever! I bought this because I needed a cheaper option than Akar’s Balance Toner ($55 and not sold at Sephora). I also wanted to try Belif’s toner because their Aqua Bomb is a great moisturizer.

I saw some reviews about the denatured alcohol ingredient, but since there are mixed feelings about using it as an ingredient for skincare from different YouTubers and skincare experts, I decided to buy it and see for myself.

I ended up really liking the results! I do not break out, it feels good on my combo/sensitive skin, and it allows following products in my skincare routine to absorb into my skin. I love the size, and there is a lot of product for the price.

I have been using this day and night every day, and still have not needed to buy another one. This has not been my luck with other toners. I still prefer the feeling of Akar’s Balance Toner, but for the price of these benefits, I’ll probably keep buying this one.

I love this toner!! I started using this while I was on Accutane because it is super gentle, without any harsh astringents or fragrances. I kept using it even afterwards for the same reasons. It is lightweight but definitely makes a difference in my skin.

My face feels more supple after applying and goes great under my Vitamin C in the morning and under hyaluronic acid/moisturizer at night. Tip: At first, I was using this as like a cleansing toner with cotton pads.

However, I saw a TikTok saying that rubbing cotton pads on your face, despite whatever good product you’re using them with, can CAUSE acne due to the abrasive texture. When I stopped using this in a wiping motion with cotton pads and started putting it directly in my hands and pressing it into the skin I saw a huge difference.

Highly recommend that method!.

I think I’ve purchased this product three times already! Probably THE best toner I’ve ever used(and I’ve tried out a lot of toners)!! I really appreciate how this toner isn’t super watery bc it doesn’t drip when I put it in the palm of my hand.

This toner really hydrates my skin and find that I don’t have to use as much moisturizer either as a result. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable or sticky and doesn’t break me out— i can actually feel it getting absorbed into my skin.

The price might seem steep to some, but I still genuinely recommend this product because it lasts me a good 6-7 months(I use it twice a day), so it’s pretty good value.

So far I am pretty impressed with this gentle face exfoliant. The results are not immediate as physical exfoliant products but the results are pretty impressive. I have been using this toner as first step (for AM and PM routine) for about 3 weeks now and I can really feel the skin’s improvement.

My skin is softer and every step that comes after this toner seems to sink in better. I can be sensitive to exfoliating product but I have never had a negative reaction. Really loving!.

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner What is it? It is a non-irritating toner to add for an instant burst of hydration, the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner works well for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Unlike regular toners with Hyaluronic Acid and Beta Glucan only, it has an elastic formula that helps with higher moisture retention by over 20%. My experience: The texture of this is slightly more tacky than water but still viscous enough to be absorbed easily.

I fell in love. This toner is mild, non-irritating, does not break me out. It is so mild that when it gets into my eye area, it doesn’t not sting my tear ducts. In fact, I think a little entered my eyes just now when I used it, but I didn’t feel anything.

So given how mild it is, this doesn’t do anything to cure acne, FYI so don’t be counting on that. It’s fragrance free as well. This also doesn’t minimise your pores. What this does really well is make your skin feel relieved and well moisturised after cleansing.

I like to use it by patting it on my face with hands, also I mostly use it in my night time routine. I really like the moisturizing and soothing effect and it didn’t give me breakouts. The formula isn’t sticky and absorbs nicely.

Toners always help with the extra boost my skin needs. This toner has hyaluronic acid, lipidure, and beta glucan. Hyaluronic acid is one of my favorite go-to ingredients for hydration. This toner does not fail and does a good job of hydrating my skin.

Recently, I tried a cleanser that dried out my skin (will be doing a review of it, keep an eye out!) and I used this a lot to get my skin hydrated afterwards. The toner is also super gentle and my skin absorbs it very fast.

It does feel sticky afterwards (yay!). The texture is thicker than I expected and not too watery or runny. It’s super easy to work with in my opinion. So this will probably sound a little strange, but it almost smells like aftershave to me.

I actually like the smell of aftershave and this toner but it is a little strong. The company has an unscented version of this toner. For anyone who is sensitive to smell, I would recommend trying the unscented version.

If you are indifferent to smell and/or like the smell of aftershave, this toner is definitely a good one to try!.

I love the ingredients in this Supple preparation facial toner by Klairs , the amazing variety of plant/flower extracts and oils plus glycerines , multi vitamins , hyaluronate and copper tripeptide-1.

The toner has a thin serum like consistency , so a small amount goes a long ways. It helps to balance and maintain skins PH levels while providing nourishment to the skin. Very hydrating , calming and soothing.

Would be great for all skin types , with the exception of those who have sensitive skin. This Supple preparation facial toner has lavender , lemon and orange peel oils. These ingredients can cause irritation in sensitive skin types.

I had never heard of toners until I brought up to my doctor that I was having an issue with acne. She recommended a few different things, one of them being to include a toner in my skincare routine. I promptly went to Walmart, looked at all the products and was overwhelmed (bear in mind I only looked at the acne product section too.

Can you imagine how many more choices I would have found had I looked more!), but this one stuck out to me. The claims on the packaging were what I was looking for and completely sold a newb like me.

I would say it definitely works if used consistently! My face looks less spotty and although my face did break out, I think using this prompted my breakouts to clear up faster. I used this after also using an acne fighting facial scrub type cleanser, and although the acne fighting ingredients were plentiful and strong, I didn’t feel like the combo dried out my face or was too much.

I applied a moisturizer afterwards too and I think that balanced everything out.

I have been using this toner for about a decade on my body, not my face. I have a large chest and get these weird bumps underneath that aren’t inflamed like pimples but still drive me nutts! I use this under my chest, on my back to get rid of backne and between my thighs to eliminate razor burn and ingrown hairs.

I transfer the contents into a spray bottle to make application easier. I’ve tried others, but this one works the best for me. I can tell a huge difference when I run out and don’t replace right away! Love this stuff!!.

I’m a high school girl and have had mild acne on my back and shoulders for a couple years, coming and going periodically. It seemed to be mostly the result of sweaty sportsbras and not being able to shower right after practices/workouts, and while it wasn’t too bad, it was enough to make me self-conscious when wearing bathing suits and tanks.

This was the first acne product I’ve used to try to get rid of it, and I’m so glad I did. I saw a difference after the first day of using this product, which I apply daily after showering with Neutrogena’s Body Clear Body Scrub.

Redness and pimple heads disappeared, tone evened, skin looked clearer. I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and although there are still some hints of acne, it’s much less noticeable than before.

Some more pros: – This product DOES NOT BLEACH/DISCOLOR FABRIC!! This was a huge plus for me because I’m tired of using products that stain my clothes, bedsheets, and towels. – Super easy to apply (I use a cotton pad) and dries quickly.

– For a pretty small bottle (and small price), I’ve gotten so many uses out of it. I’ve been using it every night for at least 3-4 weeks and it’s only about half way gone (and that’s after applying it fairly liberally).

Cons: – I will say that the first few days my back was really itchy, probably because my skin was not used to the chemicals and I do have sensitive skin. This stopped after a couple of uses and overall the product was definitely worth the initial itchiness.

I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is struggling w acne. Overnight (I’m not kidding – I’d have flare ups one night, I’d apply, and the next morning they’d be gone), this product will make your skin more even and clear! I’ve never written a review before but I really believe this product will help you! I’m no doctor but I’d also recommend drinking LOTS of water and thinking about what you’re eating to clear up that acne! I’m so so glad I bought this product.

I absolutely adore the minimal, recyclable packaging with the twist top. I use this twice a day. Once in the morning before my antioxidant serum and once at night before moisturizer. When I saw that coconut oil was on the ingredients list, I was a bit nervous to try the toner essence.

After two weeks, the toner has helped so much with my dry skin from wearing masks. I did not break out from the coconut oil. I have no new closed comedones, no peeling skin with dry patches anymore. My skin is very happy, healthy, hydrated, and glowy.

I don’t mind the fragrance. It’s a delicious fruity green tea smell. I feel that it fits Rihanna’s personality and her skincare line very well. Tamarind and hyaluronic acid are being highlighted as the star ingredients in the essence, but I think that glycerin is the one you should be on the hunt for in the ingredient list if you have dry, cracked skin.

The combination of glycerin, squalane, niacinamide, and Zinc PCA will really hydrate, plump and strengthen your skin barrier, which this toner has and more. My skin type used to be combination oily but gets drier as the season changes and with the mask-wearing.

Give this a dry if you have dry skin or acne from wearing masks, and don’t be too nervous about the coconut oil. If the ingredient was formulated into a toner essence, it’s not the same as using coconut oil on your face.

I’m a 25 year old male. I sample a lot of different skin care brands and products and I always give an honest review about what I think. I received this Fenty Skin product as a sample product as well, and this time is no different.

Overview: This isn’t the first Fenty Skin product I’ve tried and it won’t be the last. Everything I’ve tried from Fenty is high-quality and worth every penny in my opinion. I exercise a lot and I live in Texas where it’s incredibly hot, and all that sweating and heat tends to dry up my skin.

I’ve tried many moisturizers, but this one is different, as it’s not a moisturizer, it’s a toner that hydrates. I was skeptical when I first poured it into my hand, as it felt heavy and gooey, but boy when it touched my face I instantly knew it was a game changer.

I’ve been using it for about a week and half now and my girlfriend has already complimented me on how good my face looks. This product helps your face recover from dry skin and keeps it moisturized/hydrated, all while evening out your skin tone.

PROS: – The only product I’ve used that helps with my dry skin, WHILE also not feeling gross when sweating during workout or Texas heat – Evens out skin and reduces look of pours. – Hydration titan. – The bottle design.

I like the twist head piece, as pumps tend to be harder to travel with and are more likely to leak. – Good for any time. I usually use Kiehls for nighttime moisturizer, but I’m going to start alternating with Kiehl’s and this from now on.

It’s definitely my go-to now for daytime after my morning shower. I also tend to put some on mid-day. – Smells great. – It’s not runny, so you’re less likely to have it drip off your hand when you pour it into it.

– One of those products where you know it’s good right when it hits your skin CONS: – Although I like the bottle design, the fat water looks exactly how it sounds. It looks like fatty water. Was a little grossed out the first time I saw it NGL.

Long review but if you are interested in learning my experience with the cleaning portion of Peach&Lily stick around!!! I was really excited to use this and it let me down. First off let me explain I was only wearing La roche Posey Tinted Sunscreen, NARS Powder Blush, Essence Powder Highlighter, Benefit Mascara (NOT waterproof), and ABH Brow Gel.

The moment I put the cleansing oil on my face I knew it wasn’t going to do well picking up makeup. I used 2-3pumps (I feel that was a fair amount) Then I followed up with their gel cleanser. At that point I STILL felt there was residue.

After that I applied the toner, still getting something. Followed up with essence. After using the essence, I could still see black fibers on the cotton pad. At that point I began contemplating if I should return the produces or keep them.

After all, I snagged a few products during their 5x points promo and it was my Bday month so there is close to 3k of point on the line. Either way, I was influenced and will be posting for people who are in between and want to know cons/truth before dropping $40+ on a “cleansing oil” that DOES NOT cleanse lol As for the toner it’s doesn’t smell and you won’t waste product because it’s so hard to get out of the bottle.

Not only is the packaging beautiful with its frosting glass bottle, but the actual color of the toner completed the “fancy” look, reminds me of a blue lagoon lol. But outer beauty only goes so far right? Yes I was disappointed but mostly heartbroken.

First let down was getting it open. was not budging under my hands so eventually I gave up and handed it to my boyfriend Haha not only are his hands bigger and stronger than mine but definitely calloused so it shocked me when he eventually had to used a DAMN WRENCH to pry if open 🤣 which scraped the cap and ruined any kind of photo OP.

again my heart wept lol As far as the toner itself. another fail for me 🙁 for the hefty price tag not only was the amount minimal but not much effectiveness either. I was a beginner with exfoliating acids so I purchased this gentle one as not to irritate my sensitive, picky skin.

Basically did nothing for me. Absolutely tragic lol💔💔.

For months, I’ve been using the whole Glass Skin product series, and it’s been wonderful! My skin looked incredible—until I started using the Good Acids Toner. I know there’s often a purging period with retinoids, but it wasn’t just small bumps.

This was extreme: a high number of persistent cystic acne around my chin and nose for 6 weeks. Now, there’s red and purple scarring and textured scarring too. I know that 8 weeks is generally the total purging period, but the cysts aren’t stopping.

I also checked the ingredients on COSDNA, and only one ingredients (Corallina Officials extract) was even halfway comedogenic. I don’t know what the issue was. I’m disappointed and upset that all the good progress I’ve had is now destroyed AND there’s now a ton of horrible scarring and damage.

It’ll take forever to get back to where I was. 🙁 Sometimes, it’s just the luck of the draw, skin-wise, but I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this. Would not recommend.

This stuff is SO harsh and if you don’t know about chemical exfoliants DO YOUR RESEARCH! I bought this because there was so much hype about it but found it way too stripping.

I don’t like to waste product though and usually anything that is too harsh for my fave I reuse on my body. How I use this product for areas other than my face: 1. Armpits: I use this 1-2x daily with a cotton pad and sweep it over my armpits.

This will absorb moisture and any smells to leave your pits smelling like nothing. I especially like to use this on my armpits at night after I shower because I tend to sweat a lot in my sleep but don’t like to apply deodorant after I’ve bathed.

2. Feet: about once a month I do a foot soak with empsum salts to remove any dryness on the bottom of my feet. After I scrub the dead skin and dry, I apply this with a cotton pad to the soles of my feet (not my toes, did that once and got a chemical burn! This is what I mean when I say this stuff is HARSH) then I apply a heavy moisturizer like gold bond (I have a review) and put on cotton socks.

3. Self Tanner Gone Wrong: because this stuff is stripping, it will strip off what you don’t want. I’m the summer I used a self tanner a little too liberally and ended up looking like Donald Trump… not cute.

I used this stuff on a cotton pad to remove the tanner build up and give me a natural glow instead of a Cheeto effect. It also works great for areas that got too saturated with colour like your elbows, joins, hairline.

Make sure to follow up with moisturizer because this is sooooo drying.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ move been using this product for almost a year now, and it’s one of my favorite skin care products on the market. Typically, my skin is labeled as sensitive, which is seen as a no-go for using this product, but I gave it a chance and have absolutely loved it.

If your skin is like mine, I highly recommend this product. I have picky skin – it’s not necessarily acne prone, but I do get hormonal acne. I have a sensitivity to fragrances, but not all fragrances such as vanilla or camamille.

I also have eczema, mainly on my hands, that reacts badly to frequent hand washing, a lot of different lotions, and when I eat a lot of sugar or spicy food. My facial skin will also have an eczema like reaction to similar situations.

Even “sensitive skin” lotions or moisturizes make my skin break out in eczema. I think the glycolic acid works will with my skin, mostly because it’s a humectant. It draws moisture in and locks it’s in.

I don’t even have to use a daily moisturizer on top of the toner because my skin is so moisturized after using the product, Secondarily, I think this product works because of the exfoliant/antibacterial aspect of the formula.

For the same reason that glycolic acid works as a deodorant, this product helps reduce bad bacteria from my skin and clears oils and bacteria buildup. My skin becomes less textured, my pores become less visible, my skin is moisturized, and scarring is less noticeable.

This product will forever be in my rotation. + I also use it as a deodorant, and can confirm 100% that it works. I’ve been out dancing and drinking and asked around to see if there was any noticeable odor, and the feedback was all that they couldn’t smell anything! And my armpits are not as gray as they used to be.

I highly recommend using this product in place of an antiperspirant. +.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have difficulty caring for my 70yr old rosacea skin. With the added bonus of an under active Thyroid and Sjögrens Syndrome, dryness and sensitivity will always be a problem.

I had tried most things from spot treatments and all sorts of face masks and scrubs and prescription medications, to facials…Nothing seemed to work and I had taken to just covering it all up in thick makeup.

Which didn’t help and made it worse. Wearing cloth face masks also made it flare plus I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life on antibiotics. I had got to the stage of not wanting to be out and about any more.

Decided that it was time to get back to basics and start again with some research, which eventually led me here. I carefully selected those products which might be of most benefit (a big thank you for all the honest reviews) crossed my fingers and waited to see if they could help.

Well – this is definitely one of them. The Ordinary range appealed initially because it was such a simple delivery system (droppers, etc) and the individual components were clearly identified for a specific reason – so helpful as it cuts out the marketing hype and pseudo scientific mumbo jumbo.

I have now found a combination – in the morning: Inkey Hyaluronic Acid cleanser, then The Ordinary Glycolic acid toning solution followed by their Niacinamide 10% +Zinc 1%, finishing with Natural Moisturising Factors + HA; in the evening: as before but with added Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane – which in a few short weeks has given me the best skin in years.

Keeping the skin clean and the moisture in seems to be what works. I will post an update if things change but fingers crossed (again) that it won’t be needed.

One of the free samples from Maree (thank you!) I have very sensitive combi skin and the usual AHA/BHA exfoliants are way too strong and I can’t use them. This stuff is perfect. Ordered a 100 ml bottle! At first I wasn’t sure it was doing much, although my skin was much smoother and softer, but then it clicked – goodbye to the monthly deep spots that never come to a head and need so much squeezing that it’s scars my face for the next 2 weeks (I know, I know I shouldn’t…but they become mini boils if I just leave them).

I put this on nightly (yes it is that gentle!) and if I see a spot trying to emerge the next day, I put an extra dab and so far it seems to keep them at bay. It’s a revolution for me!.

This product has several ingredients that are often sensitizers. If you are allergic to sulfa drugs or sulfur, avoid this. 3-8% of the population is allergic to sulfa antibiotics. Although there is little antibody-mediated Type 1 immediate hypersensitivity crossover between sulfa drugs and other sulfur containing products, there can be a T-cell mediated hypersensitivity reaction to sulfur containing non-antibiotic substances if you are allergic to sulfa antibiotics.

Niacin flushes the skin as a crucial part of its action. If you remove the flushing, little scientific evidence supports that it is actually doing its job to strengthen the skin barrier, treat precancerous and cancerous skin lesions, and reduce acne and hyperpigmentation.

Some literature suggests that if you do not flush from taking internal niacin, then it is not doing an optimal job at reducing cholesterol or other target actions. Combining salicylic acid and retinols leaves you with a chance for skin irritation.

Combining water with any acid, especially retinols, will increase the chance of having a reaction on your skin because you are adding extra -OH groups and reactivating the acid. Start slow if you have sensitive skin.

Make sure that your face is dry. If you add anything on top of this, be aware that adding watery items may reactivate the acids. If you are sensitive, make sure that you top this with an oil instead of, say a lightweight watery moisturizer.

This is my holy grail and I hope they don’t change it because a few people haven’t done their homework. I have extremely sensitive skin and do my homework on every single item that I put on it. That is how I learned how to use this item in a safe way.

Every item whether it be natural, prescription, over-the-counter, or what have you has the potential to cause an allergic reaction in me. The worst reactions are caused by me not putting anything on my skin and it getting moist such as what happens when you fall asleep on your hand.

Wow! Amazing! Knockout is crazy good but to he honest, I never thought I could use acids in my face to make any real difference. Boy was I wrong. I’ve tried other brands’ stuff which is formulated with acids and supposed to “transform” the skin but all I ever got out of it was a broken skin barrier, flaky skin and acne.

Something is very different with Knockout. I’ve read about Biologique Recherche P50 and all the rave reviews but that price? Umm, nope. So when I saw on a dupe site that Knockout is 99% the same as the BR P50, I was intrigued and after a couple weeks, very impressed as well! I use this every morning (some may want to use it at night) and I always make sure I use a serum and moisturizer after that contains ceramides.

Maybe that’s why I can tolerate it? Not sure. I’m not about to mess everything up to see otherwise. I have the clearest, smoothest, glowy skin I have ever had (even more than with Retin-A) and I will be a repeat customer forever! Please tarte, don’t ever discontinue Knockout!! :).

This stuff friggin BURNS. I know it’s a “Tingling” toner, but honestly it’s like wiping your face with lye. I purchased this initially at the start of summer, and it was alright while the weather was hot and humid.

Being acne-prone and oily-skinned, this was pretty okay at heading off breakouts and unclogging pores. When the weather started cooling off, I was just about ready for a re-up so decided to continue my routine.

HUGE MISTAKE. As my skin moved into fall/winter-levels of sebum production, I realized that the oil on my face was the literal only thing keeping me from realizing how TORTUROUS this product is. The burning got progressively worse, and the DRYNESS – jesus.

My entire face ended up being red, super sore, flaky, and cracked. Either side of my nose actually had cracks from the dryness – and this after piling on mounds of heavy-duty moisturizers daily.

Over this toner is OKAY. I wish I would have noticed that the majority of the reviews were incentivized. The packaging is nice and I like the size of the bottle and how much comes out when you pour. Now for the actual product.

First and for most, this toner smells awful. It’s almost like putting vinegar on your face. Secondly, it’s tacky feeling. It doesn’t matter whether you put it on dry skin or damp—you will notice it’s still there.

My skin has cleared up some using this toner but honestly I don’t look forward to using just because the smell. I was hoping to find a replacement for glow recipe, but 100% this is NOT it.

I got this product not even two weeks ago. I have definitely been using it incorrectly. I bought it specifically for hyperpigmentation. I did not realize this was an acid toner (which I have used others in the past and loved), and that is my bad for not reading the instructions.

I was using this as a daily toner BUT not only was I using it daily LOL I was using it in the morning and my Paul’s Choice BHA at night. Needless to say, my skin freaked!! The last two weekends my skin has completely peeled off as if I had a sun burn or something.

I literally looked like a snake shedding. My skin has been super sensitive and burns whenever I put serum on. It’s also been extremely dry. I’ve been using Ren’s intensive night repair mask and and Youth To the People face oil religiously to try and nourish my skin back to life.

After the second time of that happening, I went online to see if others experienced this and to read how to use. Now that I know how to use it, it does leave my skin glowing. While I have not noticed and probably won’t for a while any difference in the hyperpigmentation, I have high hopes.

I’ve never used this brand before and I bought a few of their products. Looking forward to good results! All in all, make sure you read how to use this first when adding to your skincare routine!! This is NOT a daily use toner.

This is incredible. I bought this during the sale and I am blown away. This toner is potent. If you’ve ever used the Tarte tingling toner, this feels very similar and gives you the same degree of exfoliation for less cost and less tingle.

I love this! Zits on my jaw have pretty much flattened completely over night. The glow this gives you is like nothing else. This can and probably will dry your face, so I recommend using a good moisturizer afterwards.

But if you are a skincare enthusiast or love acid toners, try this out! It’s wonderful. It does smell slightly like vinegar, but it’s not offsetting and disappears on application. Stop being skeptical of these other reviews!!! Read the ingredients list and do your own research.

These ingredients are fantastic and the formulation is phenomenal. I have used this and fallen in love in a short amount of time. Try it out and your skin will thank you!.
