20 Best Korean Moisturizers For Acne Prone Skin (2023 Updated)

I received this product for free from Picky Make P:rem in exchange for my honest review. P:rems Hydrate Me. Micro Tension Cream at first glance, came in a cute blue bottle and packaging had all the info on it.

I really appreciated seeing all the ingredients. There is a lot of ingredients in this formula but they are good ingredients. Like; 💥Raspberry Fruit Extract 💥Olive Oil 💥Tea Tree Oil 💥 Rosemary Leaf Oil💥Cyclopentasiloxane 💥3 Types of Hyaluronic Acid.

Just to name a few. The bottle was completely full and it came with a little spachaler 😊 Texture from the look, was so inviting. Like, get on my face NOW you amazing ingredient list of jelly goodness.

I have heard this has been compared as a dupe for Tatchas water cream 💧. Since I personally haven’t tried Tatcha’s water cream I can not compare but this definitely looked so hydrating I couldn’t wait to try.

It says to use a pea sized amount however I used a tiny bit more (because I always just do) spotting lil dots around the face and warming up my hands with the little that was still left over. Then I began to spread it all around.

It glided on so effortlessly and with such immediate hydration It felt luxurious. Now, the amount I did was perfect for me but a little DOES go a long way so you really don’t need a lot. An that is a huge SOLID because it will last for awhile.

It gave off a dewy glow appearance with CLASS. I have like comboish skin but hydration is always my skins favorite buddy. I would definitely say this is a dry skins best friend for sure. I mean depending on your dry skin level, you may want to add a boost of a thicker moisturizer at the end of your skincare routine just to address super dry flaky skin and locking in all the goodness of this guy.

For oily skin this could be a trial and error. It didnt cause any clogging for me but you just never know. So try a very LITTLE at first I’d recommend for my oily skin buddies. There is a fragrance and it smells a little like soap 🧼 combined with lavender but to me it was light.

Thats if you smell it from the bottle. When I was applying it to my face, I didn’t really smell anything obnoxious👃. However, if you are very sensitive to smells in your skincare, this could be a negative.

P:rem also claims to be cruelty free, vegan friendly, no artificial additives. It will last 36 months after manufacturing and 12 months after intial opening. It is priced also at a very affordable and sustainable price at $29.

It is part of a 7 free system meaning no sulfate, paraben, ethanol, talc, silicone oil, benzophenone, and paraffin 👏 🌈 Overall I enjoyed this VERY MUCH! It kept me hydrated ALL DAY! It did EVERYTHING it claimed to do and I was impressed.

This is my first time using this snail cream. At first, I didn’t really think it was doing much of anything but I always like to give any product just at least 4 days of using it, to see the reaction of my skin which is sensitive type.

I’m glad I did with this because after a few days, my skin was definitely visibly clearer and brighter. It really helps removed my dead skin in just days. The things that most impressed me however are: It’s cold type of cream and not feel heavy on my face, good texture, no itchy, mild scent, minimize my pores, and especially it moisturized my face all day in which is a big plus!.

I am more excited now, for another week to see the good result of this type of snail cream. No doubt! Totally satisfied here.

I researched SSF (snail secretions) for a long time before purchasing this. This cream is 97. 5% SSF – from cruelty free, free range snails. If this stuff protects a snails delicate “skin,” i thought it was worth a try.

I have mature , sensitive skin and this hydrates and does not cause any irritation. I layer it on top of my toner at night – so far, I’m loving it!.

I got all 3 products by this company and it seems like since Ive been using them that Im breaking out with huge bumps on my face. I hadnt used it in a few days then when I decide to use it one more time to test it out.

the next day I have one more huge bump in my face. I really thinks its their products that are doing this to me.

A Holy Grail moisturizer even if you have oily skin. I stopped using my other moisturizer and started using this when I got the set from Picky. I’m impressed. It is a little thick for my oily but I’m learning to compensate for that.

It smells amazing and feels so soft and hydrating. It takes so little of the product to do it’s job so that’s a huge plus too. Glycerin and Squalene are two top ingredients with Bergamot and Sage oils in there for that gorgeous light scent.

Definitely recommend.

⚜️ Make P:rem Hydrate Me Micro Tension Cream 65ml ⚜️ Glorious lightweight watery moisturizing cream that is extremely hydrating! My skin is drinking this up! ⚜️ Been using for about 5 weeks and I can see a slight brightening to my skin.

I use morning and night. It does work well under makeup but only use very lightly. ⚜️ It is mildly scented but nothing offensive. It would be the raspberry extract ingredient used in this product. It’s really nice actually ♥️.

The first few days after my surgery I wasn’t able to get up and do any kind of skincare routine and I noticed patches of dry skin forming around my nose and cheeks. As soon as I had the ability to get up and take care of my skin, I used this moisturizer and instantly saw results.

Within one use any of the dry patches I saw vanished! It was gentle and simple enough to not cause any sensitivity yet rich and effective enough to cure even the toughest dryness. I highly recommend it whether you have a skin emergency or are just looking for a nice simple skin reset!.

I have really mixed feelings about this cream, so I’ll split between the good and the bad. TLDR; very calming, gives great complexion, suited for dehydrated skin, but NOT for dry skin. The good: It’s very hydrating, and VERY soothing.

I have super sensitive (and very dry) skin, with rosacea, and this cream cools and calms my skin immediately. It reduces redness and evens out my complexion for the whole day, and it noticeable shrinks my pores too.

Honestly, no cream has ever made my skin look this good. The bad: It is not moisturising whatsoever and my skin is screaming for nutrition all day! I have to use a lot of product, so I’ve used up the whole jar in just 6 weeks, and I still need to add a heavy occlusive cream on top otherwise my skin feels too uncomfortable and tight.

The pore shrinking is great but that usually indicated a drying ingredient. I’ll be trying the calming balm from PY instead, hopefully it’s more suited to dry skin.

A lightweight gel moisturiser suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. It is great because it has a short INCI list, does not contain both essential oil and fragrance (awesome for sensitive skin). It is super hydrating, sufficiently moisturising with a slight occlusivity.

It works well to cool your skin down too if you refrigerate it! I use this every morning and night (sufficient for me as I do not sleep in an air-conditioned room). I have emptied 8 tubs of this product already.

FYI I live in a hot, humid region Oily-combo, acne prone skin.

Did you know that Cosrx have other product lines? I didn’t know much about the Hydrium line until I was kindly sent two products by @glamtouchuk to have a try with (I had the gel cream and ampoule). But today I am bringing you guys a review of the Green Tea Aqua Soothing Gel Cream.

Containing Vitamin B5 for hydration and anti-inflammatory properties, this lightweight gel cream is an oily skin’s dream!. Key ingredients: ✨ Vitamin B5 ✨ Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract ✨ Allantoin ✨ Aloe Leaf Extract.

This product comes in the usual 50ml pot you would typically find for a moisturiser. There was no spatula in the box, but I have plenty of those 😂 the product itself is a pale green gel. Reminds me of an aloe vera gel for sunburn, but it is super lightweight.

Spreads like water but moisturises my oily skin amazingly well. It’s so soothing as well for use after actives. My house is cold, so in turn, the product is always cold which adds to the soothing feeling😍.

It is almost Winter here and the temperatures are dropping like crazy, so usually I have a thicker cream in my stash for morning and at night. I have switched to a thicker night cream (also Cosrx 🙈), but this one is perfect for my morning routine even in the cold.

I layer a couple of skins of a cream toner underneath and then finish with this on top. My skin feels nicely hydrated and not tacky in the slightest. Because of how lightweight it is, my sunscreen application and subsequent makeup applications are also flawless.

My skin is oily, acne prone, and extremely sensitive and irritation prone. Super lightweight moisturizer, perfect for my oily skin in the summer. My skin get’s really oily throughout the day, and considering I also use sunscreen I end up looking like an oil field if I’m not careful.

That’s why I got this moisturizer. It contains no emollient ingredients so it simply absorbs into your skin as a serum would without leaving a layer of grease on top. My skin also has many angry, red pimples which if I’m not careful begin to sting when I use the wrong product.

I have had no issues with this moisturizer. It has a very lightweight gel texture and glides onto your skin like water. I will note, if you’re not careful about the amount you use you will end up with a layer of slime on.

However, you can either leave it to absorb for longer or rinse your face. Definitely recommend for those with a similar skin type to mine. If your skin is dry, you could be able to use this as a serum.

Unfortunately FOR ME this product was awful. 1st, I was looking for something to replace the Primera alpine berry watery cream since that isn’t sold in the US anymore. From kora I already have the Noni body and face oil, oil cleanser, eye cream, turmeric mask, and I’ve tried the turmeric lotion.

The products mentioned I LOVE. so I figured I would give this a try for moisturizer. It’s terrible. For one it oddly lathers up as you try to work it all over your face. I have to drag it all over (and it just streaks even more green) even when I use a tiny bit, and then even that tiny bit doesn’t moisturize enough.

There’s also the fact that it doesn’t fully sink into the skin, rather it sits on your face so later on you HAVE to scrub your face because it will pill/leave product on your face. The scent doesn’t bother me like it does for others, but it makes sense cause it’s not fragrance free.

Anyways, will not be buying this one again. I’ll keep the container and just refill it with the turmeric lotion or something else. My sis has the actual turmeric container, so even if we both had the tumeric refills itll be easy to tell who’s belong to who since I’ll have this blue container instead (same size as turmeric lotion container, refills for both are the same size).

Still on the hunt then for the perfect replacement for Primera.

Omg I have to mention the packaging, even though it’s probably the least important thing about this product, nevertheless, it puts a smile on my face every time I use it. Very eye catching and beautiful.

The moisturizer itself is super lightweight, gets absorbed momentarily but it moisturizes my skin very effectively. It has a nice silky gel-like consistency that slightly reminds me of aloe vera gel, but much more delicate.

It’s almost watery but in a good way, not in the sense that it’s runny. To me, it’s absolutely perfect for summer when it’s hot outside and the last thing I want to do is to apply a thick white cream on my skin.

I’ve noticed how soft this product makes my skin. It also seems to do a really good job at calming skin down after sun exposure or any irritation. The list of ingredients is very interesting and promising.

I’m going to continue using it but so far it’s amazing.

I’ve been using this serum daily for about a month now and I will be repurchasing this! I break out very easily and will usually have to introduce new skin care products gradually due to my sensitive skin.

This is one of the very few serums that don’t make my super oily skin feel sticky and doesn’t make me break out either! It doesn’t feel hot on my skin and absorbs pretty fast as well. 10/10 recommend for oily and sensitive skin.

I have acne-prone, oily skin and this was pretty decent for me. It didn’t cause any breakouts or worsen my acne. The formula is quite light and thin (not very thick or sticky) which works well for my oily skin and under my makeup.

One thing is that it is not as hydrating or moisturizing. It feels more soothing and calming, which is what it’s advertised to do. I went through the bottle quite fast so I wish there was more per bottle.

Peach Slices offered me a complimentary Snail Rescue oil-free moisturizer an exchange for my honest review. Every once in a while, the oily areas of my face seem to breakout. I’ve tried several different moisturizers and usually they are too heavy and oily and they only make the breakouts worse.

If I skip moisturizing or use a light moisturizer then my face doesn’t stay hydrated all day. Once I got past the fact that it came from snail mucin, I started seeing some great results from this moisturizer.

I noticed my breakouts were happening less often and within a couple of days the redness started to fade. If I had a breakout that was inflamed it did seem to reduce it a little bit but not totally. The oily sections of my face definitely had less shine to them and my face felt smoother.

I found that I didn’t need to reapply the moisturizer until the next day. I did actually try using it morning and night and found the results were the same. Even twice a-day, it did not cause my face to become more oily.

One of the things I really liked about it was that it was super lightweight. When I 1st started using it, I questioned whether or not it was gonna work because on appearance it looks like it has a lot of water in it.

But as you rub the product in, you find that’s actually not true and it doesn’t feel like water. It rubs in nicely and doesn’t have a smell. It’s not sticky or oily. In fact, it actually has a gel texture which you would think would clog your pores but it didn’t.

In the short amount of time I’ve been using it, I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin looking firmer, however, I definitely would want more time using it before I make that claim. So for me, I think this is a great product.

I can’t brag enough about how light weight it is and how I didn’t feel like my pores were clogged. That’s a big deal for oily skin. I still have a little bit of trouble with it coming from snails but you really can’t tell other than it’s just in the title.

I can tell you I did look it up before I started using it and they do all the scientific stuff to filter it out and make sure that it is pure and clean before it is added into their products. Once I read that it was much easier to get past the title.

And honestly, I’m glad I did. It’s a great moisturizer.

I got this moisturizer because the other one in this brand was a cream and I was looking for something more lightweight for a daytime moisturizer. However, this has the consistency of a serum and literally melts as soon as hits your skin.

Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you have a dry or dryer skin I wouldn’t recommend. It does feel very hydrating and it leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished and plump, but I was left feeling like I need a little something more.

I’m excited to try out the cream after having tried this one. It’s not oily or greasy feeling on the skin and it does absorb very quickly. If you’re more oily or combo to oliy skin type, you will probably love this moisturizer! The amount of product you get for the price is unbeatable and it does have some amazing ingredients.

I have breakout prone skin that’s on the more than side. which also means that every time a blemish stretches out my skin and shrinks back to normal later, it leaves a dark mark on my skin. it’s annoying because it makes it LOOK like my skin is still troubled even if the breakout is gone.

I really didn’t expect that these snail products from Peach Slices would clear my skin and reduce those dark be spots THIS effectively. I thought I might see a minimal improvement, but that still would’ve been better than no improvement.

in fact – my face looks SO MUCH BETTER that I’m upset with myself for not taking before and after pictures. I just never could’ve guessed! and the fact that it’s only been a week BLOWS my mind! I did buy the whole set: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and intensive mask.

and because of the results I’m seeing, I’ll never go back to anything else! I’m just mind blown!.

I used this moisturizer for a few months now and I do not like the smell. I use the same brand’s vitamin C serum and they both have a strong scent. It goes away after application but my nose is quite sensitive to smell.

It is quite overbearing. I used to use this product at night but it does not layer well! So now I’m using it in the morning/ evening as the product state (without other serums). My skin feels overall sticky, this product is not for me.

Its quite a shame considering the low price and high praise but my skin (or nose) doesn’t like this product.

The best moisturizer I have ever used! It is suitable for all skin types, as well as sensitive and easily irritable skin. This moisturizer is so light weight on the face, yet so hydrating and softening! It contains Centella Extract, which is effective in removing pigmentation and blemishes on your skin, while your skin is left feeling very soft and rich in moisture.

Centella also helps with protecting your skin’s natural moisture barrier. My next favorite ingredient is Snail Mucin which increases elasticity of your skin, helps with its anti-aging components. Ingredients like Asiaticoside, Madecassic acid and Asiatic acid together act to soothe skin irritations and rejuvenate skin.

Lastly it comes with a nice spoolie and a protecting seal, which is perfect for the hygiene. Fell in love with this product right away 🙂 Jumiso Have A Good Cream Snail Centella.

I received a sample size of this product in one of my subscription boxes, and I was impressed that this moisturizer was targeted for all skin types. It worked really well for my skin, and locked in moisture throughout the entire day.

My skin felt much smoother and radiant by the end of my trial with this moisturizer. I have considered purchasing this product on my own. I highly recommend!.

I LOVE this moisturizer! Just like the plum plump serum, it’s super hydrating, absorbs right away, and immediately makes my skin feel softer/more plump. Granted, the plumping effect is something you should get from any hydrating product since all it means is to increase moisture (giving it that taut, plump look) but obviously not all products are created equal.

I’m a big Glow Recipe fan, but until now, I’d never found either of their moisturizers to be anything special/right for my normal/dry skin – the watermelon one was WAY too light (I ended up using it as a serum) and the banana one’s texture was oddly thin.

This is also fairly light (I’d definitely group this with other water gel creams) but somehow it’s very effective in providing both immediate and lasting hydration without leaving behind any residue (the watermelon one often felt sticky afterwards).

It’s not quite enough for my semi-dry skin right now (during the winter) but I can see it working well during any other season. It says it’s best for combination skin, which I would agree with, though I’d say it’s suitable for “normal” (not dry or oily) skin in the summer.

Also I LOVE that it’s packaged in a refillable jar since it’ll actually make a difference in cutting down the amount of waste that goes into product packaging!!!.

Best of all products. It’s great for skin barrier imbalance restoration. It gives a beautiful glow. My dark circles reduced too. Best deal for dry skin. If used daily it might give small pimples but if used it combo with aha/bha toner, the problem is sorted.

I was trying everything possible to improve my skin. I got the balancing gel and nutrition cream as sample. Just in one use I saw results and I bought the gel immediately. Amazing results in Just single use.

Have never come across such a great product that works like this. I have used Products from expensive brands to cheaper ones with good formulation. This one replaces it all and the hardwork that I put in skincare.

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin with both dry and oily regions on my face. Difficult to find a product that does not cause a fuss. I have enjoyed using many of the PKY products, and enjoyed the sample for this product specifically, so decided to purchase the full size.

I would tap the product into my face – takes a bit of time so patience is key – and it feels like there is a healthy moisture barrier created, but I am not sure I love how the product “feels on my skin” after application.

I always used it for my night time routine, because I didn’t think I could wear it during the day (it felt too. barrier-esque/glistening?). I think for my skin type, other products after the gel was needed, or at least serums/ampoules before the gel.

I must say, I did not fully love the product but I would recommend folks to ask for a sample before you buy a larger version if you can. The product itself feels high quality (and look at that limited ingredients list, right?) but just didn’t work out for me in particular.

I’ve been curious about this moisturizer for years, when the hype first started, and I finally went for it. I really like this moisturizer. It is light and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy at all, but I think it really works.

My skin texture has gotten better, and I do think this product had something to do with it. I haven’t seen a huge change in my acne scars, but I am willing to keep using the product and even buy another one, since I like the way my skin has been feeling while using it.

Hopefully, over time, as I continue to use this moisturizer, I will see the other benefits that the manufacturer talks about. The texture of the moisturizer is a little “stretchy” when you take some out of the jar, which I think it due to snail slime, but I honestly don’t mind at all and, like I said, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy on your face at all when you apply it.

The Multi-Function Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream is designed to lessen stimulus and trouble to the skin, it adds nutrition for moisturized and healthy skin. This gel-cream contains 45 ml (1. 52 oz) and has a light cream feel that becomes tacky after a little bit.

It comes in a squeeze tube packaging. The cream smooths out and almost feels watery before it becomes tacky. There is a slight scent of alcohol, but not too overwhelming. It has the snail scent, however, which if you use snail products you’ll know what scent I mean.

It smooths out and really penetrates the skin, the tacky base it leaves I think is a great attribute if you intend to apply makeup afterward. Recommended use is to apply an appropriate amount on the face after cleansing and dab into skin until fully absorbed.

After using, it really moisturizes my skin deeply, which is great for people who really suffer from dry skin. It’s very soothing as well and the scent dissipates quickly. I feel like after a while it tones down the read in my skin and really keeps my skin feeling dewy and hydrated for hours and hours.

The ingredients include 80% snail secretion filtrate which is awesome for skin nourishment. I’d recommend this to anyone with dry and/or sensitive skin. What I like: the texture is really nice and light and it doesn’t feel like it weighing down your skin.

The moisture factor really lasts a long time and not a lot of the product is needed to cover your face. The ingredients are nourishing and I love how it evens out my skin tone and takes away any irritation almost immediately.

What I don’t like: the slight alcohol scent is my favorite and this product can also be expensive and it comes in quite a small size of 45 ml (1. 52 oz) so it doesn’t last very long.

It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. It definitely absorbs into the skin opposed to just sitting on top and creating a ‘film’. Not thick at all- doesn’t seem to clog my pores. Smells a tiny bit strange but nothing overpowering and the scent quickly wears off.

This is like one of the OG Korean skincare staples. It still impresses me after all these years! I do believe it can help heal any active acne you have and the gel feels super refreshing and applies smoothly.

You can even put this in the fridge to make it feel even better applying on your puffy face in the mornings. Do note that this is not suuuper moisturizing on its own. If you have oily skin you might be able to get away with using this alone, but with my combo skin I like to layer with something else to make sure all my dry spots are targeted.

Overall, I love the value of this gel and how it makes my skin look! Subtle glow/dewy.

I’ve used the DR. JART+ CERAMIDIN CREAM MIST for a few months now and can firmly say it’s been a game changing product for me! Previously, I’ve wasted so much money on other brands of mists, even the so-called cult ones, but found them either too sticky, too drying, the shot of mist being not quite right… always something not right.

This, however, is just beautiful. My skin feels instantly comforted with each finely controlled spray and it works wonderfully to enhance the efficacy of my other products, by helping them penetrate the skin deeper.

It’s has never caused pilling and is such great value for money too considering how impactful it is. I mist between most steps in my routine both AM and PM and the smaller size still lasted for about 5 months.

One call out… if you wear lash extensions, cover the area before misting. The ceramides will affect the bonds in the lash adhesive as I’ve only figured out but an easy fix to avoid. A total must-have in my regime.

Wouldn’t be without it now!.

Could easily deserve five stars but hear me out first. I’ve never seriously used moisturizers. Might have been a heavy mistake, but my face never required regular moisture. For several years I was using the Clarins Hydra Essential on occasions.

Received this as a sample back in 2018 and it felt great! Heavy (in a good way), quenching and not heavily perfumed. My skin looked distinctly better after several consecutive usage (used to wash face and apply before bed).

Now, i’ve learned and started to take better care of my skin (retinol, vitamin c, weekly exfoliating, HA, glycolic acid etc), and I thought why not revisit this cream? NOT REGRETTING! I believe this cream is a good reliable shield of moisture for normal reason i’m putting 4 stars despite my satisfaction is that I cannot know for sure if the cream worked well because of my lack of care or because it is truly effective.

All I know is that I trust it for basic moisture needs. That being said, I don’t think a moisturizer should be in this price range considering that creams like CeraVe will achieve the same results for a fraction of the price.

In any case, I cannot see someone being disappointed with Ceramidin, nor someone being impressed.

I used to have bottles of the liquid toner of this, the every sun-day sunscreen, and the water drop hydrating moisturizer (only the ogs know about this discontinued product) but once the pandemic hit, I could no longer afford my lavish skincare and had to go back to affordable drug store.

This resulted in a consistent break outs with hyperpigmentation( Mind you I’ve never had acne before) My skin went from combo to extremely dry. I legit burned and ruined my skin barrier. Tik tok pointed me back to Korean skin care (snail mucin) but once the the toner and moisturizer soaked up my skin felt tight and dry.

I ended up getting a sample of this cream to use as a last step. After about a week I can truly say my skin really missed this ! It’s been a rough two years but my skin is back now, or even better than how it was before.

I love this and I’ll never stop using it. I just wish you guys would bring back the water drop moisturizer. It’s really worth the price.
