24 Best Keyboard For Photo Editing (2023 Updated)

The keyboard on my laptop is acting screwy, and I just needed a Bluetooth keyboard to tide me over until I could get the keyboard laptop repaired. The Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard (K380) was available at my Target, so I just bought it once I saw the number of positive reviews on Target without doing any more research.

It’s literally become one of the best purchases I’ve made this month. The keys sound and feel amazing when I type, it pairs very easily to my laptop, tablet and phone with just a button press, and the whole device has a nice, weighty feel to it with rubber skid pads on the bottom.

I’ve only had the keyboard for a brief amount of time, but I’m already incredibly pleased with Logitech’s design choices. The price point makes this an even better buy. In a day and age of poor shopping experiences where I’ve noticed more low quality items for higher prices, this keyboard was a pleasant surprise.

The Logitech K380 Bluetooth Keyboard is well worth using and good to have. It’s the right size for my tiny work area and feels nice to use. I bought it because, additionally, it is supposed to be able to interoperate with several Bluetooth devices conveniently.

While I would never question that premise, I used several hours to pursue traditional, reasonable, escalated-severity problem-solving procedures attempting to get the keyboard to be discoverable on two of the three Bluetooth-enabled Windows 10 systems it was intended for.

I’m keeping it because it works on one of the three systems. I found no hardware/software/Bluetooth version compatibility information suggesting this keyboard will not work with all Windows 10 systems with Bluetooth enabled, so I hope this additional information about my experience with the keyboard is helpful!.

Fantastic keyboard with linear red switches which are super smooth. Solid metal frame which looks and feels amazing. RGB lighting is bright and easily programmed using the downloadable ngenuity software.

I had a clash with the software when MSI afterburner was running so turn that when modifying keyboard settings. Keycaps are a little bit slick (smooth not matte finish) and can easily pick up fingerprints and oil.

However, small things aside, I really like this keyboard and recommend it to anyone looking for linear switches an RGB lighting.

The keyboard is solidly built and has some weight to it. Each key is responsive and spaced enough not to feel cramped. The only absence is a numbered keypad found on the far right of most keyboards. Other than that, it seems all the regular keys are accounted for.

The keys light up in a multitude of colors and can be shut off with a touch of a button. I find this a wonderful and unique feature that I’ve never seen before. The negative features are several. The colors don’t seem configurable.

It would have been nice to have them all in one color. There was no manual, so the possibility of making them all one color is not known. And when you turn the lighting off, the key markings are difficult to see because they are so faded.

There is a key with the icon of a joystick that disabled the windows keys during gaming sessions. The purpose of this key was not readily apparent and did require some investigation on the internet. Another drawback is the keys are a bit loud, almost reminiscent of a typewriter.

This could get annoying if other people are in the room. I’m assuming the loudness will not affect those using this with a gaming headset that blocks interior sounds. I enjoyed it! Overall, the keyboard is well made, it has a few annoyances, but if you are looking for something that can take the pounding of long gaming sessions, this certainly fits the bill.

And although it has some negatives, I think it will be useful to gamer’s once they get the hang of it. So, for those reasons, I do recommend you give it a try.

A lot of the stuff Logitech made in the early 2010s or late 2000s are some of the either janky or supreme stuff on the market. This is one of those items that came off the cuff of a really funky predecessor.

Where the oddly titled keys were essentially removed, and we get one of the most bells-and-whistles yet remarkably intuitive piece of equipment that fits for any avid gamer. Getting this below $80 is an absolute steal.

This is a good keyboard (I used the Orion spectrum not the spark different keys). The main thing that stands out for me is this is a gaming keyboard not a daily typer. Corvettes have leather when they really should have fabric seats.

Sometimes people get sporty confused with luxury. This keyboard works very well for gaming but for daily typing I feel like the keys are a little stiff. People who haven’t used a mechanical keyboard would not notice this.

I am currently using a G710+ which has brown cherry keys. I love this keyboard and use it at my job (development). The lighting on the Orion is amazing and I found the interface to setup the keys very simple.

I felt like the keyboard didn’t need to be so large (example the ends round off, they should have just left it like that but instead they added extra material that widens as it comes closer to you. ) To me this is wasn’t needed and just takes up desk space.

I also think that the pad in front should be removable (you can remove it but there is plastic that will always be there, meaning that the front pad is designed to be switched between the different styles more typing or gaming).

Its a nice keyboard and great for gaming but not my main go to as to which I was hoping it would be.

There’s just something about the Apple Magic Keyboard that makes typing and using shortcuts for tasks a pleasure. I’m not an Apple aficionado or welded to Apple products but typing on this keyboard has been designed to feel effortless – and that’s been my experience.

The keys have just enough ‘give’ and the shortcuts just work. I bought the full-sized keyboard because I use applications that require me to enter numbers everyday and the numbers section just works for me.

This is a stylish keyboard that, yes, is more expensive than alternative brands but it feels like a keyboard that’s been built to last and is well designed even to the point it’s easier to clean than ‘traditional’ keyboards with less chance of crumbs etc getting between the spaced surrounding they Keys because the keys are flush in place.

In short, it doesn’t feel clunky or cheap as other keyboards do. Finally- if you have a MacBook or iPad the Bluetooth connection and battery life between charges are flawless. A note on my experience of buying this from John Lewis – delivered on time, I was kept fully up to date and the purchasing experience, as you would expect, was top-notch and professional.

Why, oh why do I have to be an Apple fanboy? It’s so unattractive. But look. As a MacBook Pro user who has his laptop hooked up to a monitor, I do need an external keyboard. After Apple ditched the wired version, I refused to indulge them on their wireless shenanigans, and went for a third party product.

Big surprise: It’s not as good. Not as expensive, for sure, but saving forty dollars is not a bargain if you’re constantly unhappy. And keys that won’t respond, or are in the SLIGHTLY wrong position, or don’t give your fingertips the right feedback, are like a pebble in your shoe.

Gotta spring for the real deal. So far, it’s still running on its first charge, so I can’t even really complain about the wireless thing. You win again, evil empire.

Since many of us are working from home our desk becomes our home office, gaming center, breakfast lunch and dinner table. I was in the market for a keyboard that does everything. A few important features for me was it had to be mechanical, have decent feedback, feels good to type on for hours and suitable for FPS gaming.

I narrowed down to 4 keyboards that I thought would be suitable. I tested the Keychron V2, Razor Tourament TKL, Microsoft Sculp ergo and G915 (clicky). There’s something that I love about each of the keyboards but ultimately I ended up with the G915 for a few reasons.

1. The feedback of the clicky is great and the sound is addicting to me. 2. It’s just loud enough to hear the click but isn’t overly loud to the point of it being annoying. 3. The spacing is perfect inbetween the keys.

I have big hands and I found myself making typos often when keys are smaller. I also found that linear keys requires less pressure and I was making tons of typos on the Razor Tourament keyboard. 4. The MS Sculp ergo keyboard is great for long typing sessions for work but the keys gets stuck sometimes which overtime can be an issue.

5. The low profile keys is very attractive and I feel I type faster because of the shorter height of the keys. Some people buy this keyboard because it’s wireless, it can do bluetooth and it’s a gaming keyboard with decent battery life.

I purchased 2 of these and my wife loves it as well. She said the battery least a good 10 days of heavy 8 hour work usage because you the low battery signal. At 179. 99 I do believe this keyboard is a tad overpriced.

But at the original MSRP it’s not worth getting. I think if the price drops another 30 dollars it would be just right. Def give this keyboard a try if you have similar requirements as me! Good luck.

If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard with clicky keys, this is for you. It also has RGB LEDs which can be set with the iCue software to do either patterns or application specific color patterns (like movement cross in a specific color).

Like all the blinkenlights it can be controlled via Asus’ Aurora software (or OpenRGB on linux). The only thing I didn’t like about the keyboard is the keycaps are essentially upside down for the letters (the shift-character is below the un-shifted character) For example the ^ is below the 6 but still works the way you expect, which for numbers is fine but on things like the backslash are confusing initially.

The spacebar has a crosshatch carbon-fiber texture on it which is nice. Unlike a lot of modern keyboards the USB cable (USB-A) is built in (and quite thick with a braided cover) so if you were hoping to color match with a custom cable this isn’t for you.

It has all the usual media keys and flip-feet. A spare USB-A passthrough port on the back is where you expect it to be. The media keys work on the Mac as is, on windows you load the driver (plug-n-play on win-10) and it worked on Ubuntu out of the box.

The other thing I would note is the back corners are quite sharp (odd on a molded piece of plastic) but 2 seconds with a nail file and the corner can be dulled down.

I love this Corsair k70 low profile keyboard. I love the lights in this keyboard. There’s so many different variations that you can use. It really adds to the experience if there’s low light or at night time.

And I use this for playing digital pinball games. I bet you didn’t know that was a thing. I remember playing that back in the 70s and I loved playing pinball with my friends at the store. So I found a website that you can purchase these games.

And you use the shift keys for your flippers and the control keys will nudge it. Well trust me I pound on these keys and it can take a beating. You don’t have to do that in order to play these games but when I’m in the zone I accidentally do it all the time.

Doesn’t make the ball go any faster but of course when I’m in the zone I forget this isn’t an actual pinball machine and I pound on the keys sometimes. That’s why I know this keyboard can take a beating and still holds up with no problem.

I have never cracked one of the keys on this. Now the old model they had a few years ago those keys cracked all the time. Not this one. They have redesigned this and this thing is sweet. And it has a control for the volume on this silver wheel at the top.

And you can lock the keys with this button at the top that has a picture of a padlock so that while you’re playing a game you don’t accidentally hit the Windows key or something and screw up your game.

I think this thing is definitely overpriced but at least you know you’re going to be getting a really good keyboard that should last for a long time. It even has a USB on it for hooking something up to it like your mouse or a webcam?.

I’ve owned this keyboard for several months now and it’s delightful to type on. I own a ton of mechanical keyboards and this is by far the cheapest one I own. I enjoy typing on it more than several keyboards that cost 3-4 times as much though! The Outemu blue switches feel comparable to other clicky switches I’ve used from Kailh, Cherry, and Razer.

The sound is satisfying and the actuation force is good. The key feel is more consistent than the early Razer Green switches on my old Blackwidow Chroma, but maybe not quite as much as real Cherry blues.

The keycaps are doubleshot, though ABS I believe. Still, they feel great and are a step above the laser etched ABS caps on more expensive boards. Really though, the reason I bought this keyboard was to port the open source QMK firmware to it.

Unfortunately, the big downside of Redragon keyboards is their lack of RGB customization. You get to pick from a set of around 15 built-in effects or you can set the keys to custom static colors, but you cannot do fancy effects from the PC and there is no software SDK to integrate the lights into games or sync them with other devices.

I really wanted to get this keyboard working with my open source RGB control software OpenRGB, and I found that some people were in the process of porting QMK to the board. I jumped in to help and after several months of work, we have a pretty much fully functional QMK port that supports direct light control from software using OpenRGB.

I’ve included a link to a YouTube video showing the Overwatch RGB effects working on this keyboard using QMK firmware, OpenRGB, and Project Aurora.

Since I currently am trying to use a small setup for my gaming PC, this tenkeyless is a good value-for-money. I think the action is a little high and loud, and the font used on the keycap prints isn’t for me.

However, it is pretty accurate, and at less than half the cost of a Razer Huntsman or Corsair tenkeyless (those are nice, though!), I think this is a great buy. The RGB options are great — if you can figure out how to get them to work.

While there are software-less instructions for pre-configuring the “Coastal” preset circulating around the internet, to access other RGB presets — some of which have some neat animations, btw — I ended up having to download international software.

All that aside, overall, I have a nice compact gaming keyboard for a modest investment.

This is a phenomenal keyboard if you want a cherry red mechanical keyboard! Do note that this is a 10-keyless board and so it will be excellent for taking up less space on your desk! The keys have very little play if any and the RGB is miraculous! Some models only have red backlighting but this one has full RGB spectrum.

The RGB effects are built into the board so no need to install software and are easily changeable by pressing a function button on the keyboard. Another big selling point that convinced me to buy this board is that it has a real metal backplate in between the keys.

When you pick up this board you can tell just by the weight that there is real quality in this board! Easily customizable with your own keyset! All around a great keyboard!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis thing is heavy, like very heavy, so feels like you are getting your money’s worth here. Out of the box it has horrible case ping, an almost metallic-like hollow sound with every keystroke, this is 90% resolved by lubing the switches which I HIGHLY recommend as it takes this keyboard from entry-level to pro.

Reckon it could still use some foam inserts but not essential. The stabs have been improved it seems, the sit TIGHT in the plate which helps with rattle, initially I was not sure how to get them out cause they were so tight, just have to remove some keys and get a screwdriver in there and press down quite hard in the clips.

They also to my surprise came pre-lubed, however not really enough to fix the rattle that was still there, after lubing them up with some krytox and dielectric grease (don’t hold back), they sound and feel MUCH better than stock.

The keycap puller is nice and easy to use but the switch puller is rubbish, it’s ends are too rounded and cant get under the switch to lift them out, thankfully I had another switch puller that worked much better, if you don’t have one, you can use a little flat head screwdriver to lift the switches up a little then the puller works.

The lighting is not for me but it’s ok, I find it VERY ANNOYING that the light resets every time you turn your computer off, wish it would remember because I don’t like the default rainbow setting, hope they fix this.

The cable that comes with the looks rather cheap and thin, suspect I’ll replace it one day with something nicer. The keycaps have a nice feel to them and look great. Love the TKL form factor, was much smaller than I thought coming from a full-size board, also glad I didn’t go for the ATL as I think I would have found this too small.

All in all a very nice keyboard and I look forward to trying different switches (got Halo Clears by accident however after lube they came up quite nice, a little heavy on the press for my liking). Also have noticed some wobble in the case, it’s not 100% flat, did not notice initially as had it on a pad but on a flat surface it’s much more obvious and disappointing for something that is meant to be so rock solid.
