Good with small footprint leaving more space on my desk. I never used the numpad anyway. What I do miss is the backspacer/delete key. Now I can delete only backwards. To delete forwards you need to hit function + delete for one character, or function + option + delete for whole words.

I’m getting used to it. To change volume you need two hands, one for the function key bottom left and the other for the volume keys top right. That is a nuisance. My old keyboard had these right next to each other.

F1 and F2 for brightness do not work. I’ll look into more shortcuts from Apple and their help line is always good. The keyboard has a lovely light touch and doesn’t slide around the desk like the cheapo Windows ones.

I’ve covered my new Magic keyboard in cling film because the last one did not like the drink of water I gave it and these Apple products are expensive. No need to buy the special cover. I wish they still made things with cords and am leery of how long this battery will last before the whole thing has to go to the landfill.

Such is life these days. I switch off the tiny button on the outside of the keyboard and turn Bluetooth off to save the battery whenever I’m away from the computer.

Small form factor, does not leave much of any footprint on the desk, lightweight and thin, so it can fit under something if you need to make more space on the desk. The Bluetooth connectivity makes it very versatile, using it from any position in the room, and has a strong connection with no visible delay.

The layout is great, besides the directional arrows being a bit squeezed to compensate for size, the layout feels very standard and your fingers will feel like they are in the right spots. Maybe?: If you are planning to use this with a windows computer, be aware that if it does not have bluetooth, then you will only be able to use it by plugging it in via lightning cable.

On the topic of Windows, some of the shortcuts that the keyboard uses are a little misplaced due to the main Operating System the keyboard is supposed to be ran on is MacOS If you are conditioned with standard membrane or even a standard mechanical keyboard, it will be a weird transition into the shorter travel distance offered by the keyboard, but in my opinion, it isn’t a bad transition and it isn’t too long before you are back to your comfortable stage.

Cons: Price is a little weird with this keyboard, it isn’t a bad value, but you can find other keyboards with a similar feel for cheaper, but not necessarily the engineering and the sheer quality of the keyboard.

In my opinion, the retail price should be brought down to either $89. 99 or even $79. 99 to create the perfect value. The short travel distance isn’t for everyone, and for keyboards, the typing experience really makes or breaks the customers mind.

If you are used to full travel distance keyboards, which are typically anywhere from 2. 5 mm – 3. 0 mm to bottom out, and want to stay at that travel distance, this keyboard will not feel good at all.

I use both a mechanical keyboard and this keyboard for my at home and at work stations, and it’s a weird change, but I like both and don’t have a preference as to what I need to have. There isn’t an LED or way to tell how charged up the keyboard is, only an on/off switch, and the lightning port.

Through MacOS, it’s as easy as checking in your bluetooth settings how much battery you have left, but it is just a disclaimer. I also don’t know why Apple chose to make the “power button” with an eject symbol on it, with the lack of CD drives in MacBooks and now the new iMacs, it doesn’t make sense as to why they wouldn’t just put a power symbol on it, so just a little bit of confusion there.

Decent keyboard that’s a little more compact to a normal one so you need to get used to it. The key feel doesn’t feel outstanding, most laptops tend to have better feedback, these sort of feel bland.

That’s about the best way to describe it. Wehn you press a key it just sort of runs out of travel at the end of the stroke, there’s no click, or noticeable ‘press’ but it’s alright and allows pretty fast typing after a while of getting used to it.

This has a neat feature which you can switch between different bluetooth pairings, this is pretty handy if you have your phone next to your PC you can multi-task very well, especially if your mouse can do the same.

The design is very solid and it includes a set of rubber pads to raise the keyboard to a comfortable typing angle, this is pretty essential as without them it’s pretty much completely flat on the table.

Issues: This doesn’t come with a bluetooth dongle in the box! Seems minor, but it’s incredibly irritating if you have a PC without bluetooth, needing to go out and buy another dongle just to make it work.

For what it would have cost them, and the price of the keyboard itself, you’d think they could have included it in the box. Instead, it comes with a USB-C to USB-C connector. Again, that would have been useful if it wasn’t only compatible with a USB-C ports that’re only on mobile computing devices which have bluetooth anyway.

Most people would use a USB port, power bank or wall charger to charge these and the majority of those still come with a USB-A connection, so the C to C connection doesn’t really make the most sense.

At least if it was standard USB-A on one end you’d be able to use it wired, but oh well. This is clearly aimed at Mac users first, Android second and Windows very last, as such the “Windows” key and ALT keys are swapped around if you are used to Windows keyboards which can cause some annoyance when first transitioning over.

Not the keyboard’s fault as it’s clearly shown in the photos, just something to be aware of if you use multiple keyboards in your day. You may be able to switch these over in software somehow. Overall a nice keyboard with some quirks.

Would be nice if there was a dedicated Windows version but it’s manageable, seems to be the only real decent aluminium keyboard on the market at this price so I’m happy.

Overall this is a very good keyboard. It has a very low profile and the scissor keys are second to Apple’s wireless Magic Keyboard. Using this keyboard at work gives me more space than the old keyboard I was using.

I have it paired to a Windows PC and have not had any issues navigating with this made-for-Mac keyboard, The sound of the keys is not as defined/tight as the wireless Magic Keyboard, but again, it is second to that keyboard.

Battery life significantly decreases when using backlighting, which for me is fine because I easily leave the keyboard charging when I end my shift, ready with a full batter the next day. This is the latter. I recently obtained a new Mac Mini and this keyboard (the Logitech MX Keys Mini). While setting up the Mac Mini, it came time to connect a keyboard with it or else you cannot complete the setup.

I was really excited to use this keyboard until I found out they did not include a USB unifying receiver. This wasn’t the case of a missing part—I later found out that none of the MX Keys Minis come with a USB unifying receiver.

Why? This is such a useful feature, especially when Bluetooth doesn’t work. “No matter,” I thought. I’ll just try to connect the MX Keys Mini via Bluetooth—except it couldn’t be found by Bluetooth. Figures.

I even tried connecting the MX Keys Mini with the charging cable thinking that would work. It didn’t. How can Logitech charge $100 for a keyboard and NOT have multiple ways of connecting that keyboard to a computer? And how can you get rid of such a useful feature like the universal USB unifying receiver?! So, because this keyboard could not connect to my new computer, I was locked out of finishing the setup because there’s no way of continuing the setup without a keyboard input.

It just so happens that I had a second Logitech keyboard on hand—the Logitech Ergo K860. And this one actually came with the USB unifying receiver. Thank god right? No. The USB unifying receiver didn’t work.

Really? How can you mess up something as simple as a USB connecting device. I then tried connecting the Ergo K860 via Bluetooth, but this also could not be found. So I had $230 worth of new, premium Logitech keyboards that could not work with setting up a new computer—a common Mac.

None of these keyboards came with a backup way of connecting to the computer rendering them useless. The only way I could finish setting up my new computer was with a cheap $30 keyboard from a separate brand.

I had a lot of positive experiences with Logitech in the past, but they really killed any positive feelings I had for their brand and their products based on last night.

This keyboard will replace my aging K810, which, in my eyes, was perfection in a keyboard if they had included the Unifying receiver for it. Fast forward what seems like 10 years, and Logi finally came out with a replacement, the MX Mini.

It has a similar feel to the venerable 810, but is reasonably heavier. The keys are slightly lighter in touch than the 810, so I prefer the 810’s feedback more. The bad news, is that some unfortunate product decisions were made.

First, they did not make this keyboard compatible with the Unifying receiver. That would have enabled most users to maintain their current Logi ecosystem. However, they also did not include the new Bolt receiver.

Given that the full size MX is the same price, one would think that the low overhead of including the Bolt receiver would be easily justified. I strongly suggest including the receiver in future iterations of this product.

The second odd choice is the strange F keys, which also default to the icons of each key vs the F functions. Including emoji keys is just strange, most software automatically accommodates emoji use already, no need for hardware to trigger it.

However, at least they include the volume control, delete, and brightness keys. If they begin to migrate all of their product over to the Bolt receiver, then this keyboard could be their greatest triumph.

I still have my old 810 in use on another computer, but when it finally fails, I know what will replace it. Finally, Logitech support has always been reasonably prompt, so I feel comfortable spending $100 on a keyboard from a known source, vs the oddball products with oddball brand names sold elsewhere.

Just include the receiver guys, it’s silly not to.

The Magic Keyboard is easy to install and use, and it provides the closest feeling to a laptop experience. The strong magnets on the keyboard attracts the iPad and places it in the proper position. Once installed, you can immediately use the keyboard and trackpad.

Now you can use a cursor to navigate your iPad and apps, and type with responsive keys that give that laptop feel. The only complaint really is with iPad OS, because it limits the iPad’s use to a glorified iPhone with extra features.

Something like Finder would make the iPad into a more serious product, and rumors are that iPad OS 16 seeks to achieve that, but still a rumor for now. You can still do a lot with the magic keyboard and should be an excellent addition for the majority of people; typing emails and notes, and surfing the web for leisure or research, will always be much more comfortable and satisfying than just holding an iPad and having to swipe and tap on the large 12.

9 screen. Lastly, I love it as a stand when I use my iPad as a second display with my MacBook Pro because the angles that can be set are comfortable enough to view the display for long hours, and the sturdiness of of the “hinge” ensures that angle is maintained.

Since I work remotely, there are times I want to work outside, whether that be my yard or at a park, so being able to use the iPad as a portable second display makes work a fun experience. In short, this is the best way to get a laptop experience from your tablet, but just remember that you will still lack some capabilities of Mac OS.

I would strongly recommend the Magic Keyboard for people look for a laptop experience with their iPad.

I had an 11 inch ipad pro (2020) model for over a year and quickly regretted not getting the larger 12. 9 inch size. When the new one came out in late 2021, I knew I wanted it and wanted this keyboard case.

I loved the iPad pro 11 inch, but I hated the typing mechanism on the iPad itself. I found myself feeling restricted in how I could use it, but I loved the touchscreen interface. This keyboard was the first thing I purchased with my new iPad 12.

9 inch pro I just got and gosh, I should have done this years ago. It’s awesome! It’s the perfect combination of typing, ease, and use. I do wish the outside of the case had more cushion, but all Apple products are well-made, so I feel this will be okay.

When I go somewhere, I’ll just take it on the go. The only thing I would say, it shtere needs to be a better system for having a place to store the pencil on the iPad itself. However, all other cases you buy that don’t come with a keyboard (or do) for the iPad pro aren’t anything close to what Apple offers with this.

Can this replace a lapytop? No. There are still things my Macbook Air can do that this can’t, but this is hands down the best way to use an iPad if you prefer to use it while responding to quick emails, browsing the web, interacting with apps, and more.

The mouse hovers over the apps well and allows you to click on them like you would click on anything with a laptop, except because they are apps, the user experience feels way more high-tech than using your finger or just using a regular laptop.

It’s really hard to explain until you use this firsthand. This is the only way to use an iPad in my opinion, if you’re an adult (kids wouldn’t need this unless using for school, really), and if you like to use your iPad as an “in-between” device of a laptop and desktop for work like I do.

Totally worth it! I have a smaller iPad mini that I’ll use like a regular, on-the-go tablet, but for a Pro device, this is hands down amazing. Yes, Apple should make the iPad Pro more “pro-like” in its abilities to convert files and do other tasks like a regular laptop, but that has nothing to do with this keyboard.

Keyboard: The keyboard is pretty-great all around. I use my M1 MacBook Pro on a daily basis, and while typing on this doesn’t feel quite identical, it isn’t far off. The key travel is really great and the space/size is perfect.

I wish it had a row of function keys, alas. Trackpad: The trackpad is nice enough. It is very responsive both in terms of moving the cursor and clicking on apps and tasks. I do wish that more apps utilized gestures and features of the Magic Keyboard, but I can’t really fault the product for that.

It’s not MacOS, after all. Quality: I really like the quality of this keyboard. It is slightly thicker than the previous gen keyboard to accommodate the slightly thicker 5th gen iPad Pro. It feels sturdy when the iPad is attached and I THINK it leans a little further back than the previous gen, which is nice.

Overall, I like this product a lot. At the end of the day, if you’re thinking that attaching this overpriced keyboard to the M1 iPad Pro is going to replace your laptop, that’s probably not the case unless you’re just surfing the web or using Amazon to shop.

iPadOS is still the limiting factor in allowing an iPad to be an out-and-out alternative to a conventional laptop. That said, the Magic.

I read and watched many reviews on the Logitech MX Key Mini and the Apple Magic Keyboard. The Logi does have more features: Supports more than one device, and has backlighting. At the store I tried both hands on.

I purchased the Magic. Now at home I have been using it for several hours. I must point out that I have the excellent Logi K810, and I also own three Logi mice – great products. What I can say is that typing on the Magic is like “magic” for me.

I hardly notice I am typing at all on a keyboard. It is like I am typing away on a cloud. As far as backlighting: The laptop monitor actually casts enough light on the Magic for me to be able to see the keys when I need.

Last but not least, I did not have a need for multi device support – I wanted to be Apple centric when using the Air. I recommend the Magic for four reasons: In my case the typing experience is awesome, native Apple function support for all keys, the keyboard form factor is beautiful, and my Air connects seamlessly and almost instantaneously.

Excellent product – hope it will last as most Apple products do.

Replacing another keyboard(they are not spill-resistant) for my 2012 iMac. I was surprised the price had jumped from $79 to $99. It was not until I got home and noticed the keyboard was slightly different.

that I did more research. This keyboard is compatible with macOS 11. 3 or higher and the M1 chip. (my 21. 5” iMac runs 10. 4) If Apple announced they were updating the design and no longer providing this accessory for older devices, I missed the news.

And I still needed a working keyboard. The $129 Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad is still available for older devices. Yes, that’s $50 more than the shorter keyboard but it’s only you can decide if its worth the investment.

The good news is the 11. 3 and higher version carries a $199 price tag, And if matching your accessories to your device is not important, you can look for a third party keyboard. I am giving this item a rating because although I made the error in selection: I hold Apple accountable too.

Needed to replace my keyboard and after some research decided to check out the MX Keys full-size wireless keyboard. Keyboards are very subjective, but I was specifically looking for something with low-profile, flat, quiet keys and this truly exceeded my expectations.

The backlit keys are the feature you always wanted but never knew you needed! Having owned several Logitech keyboards over the years, this one is in a class of its own — the build is solid, it pairs with 3 devices, and you can remap most of the Fn keys.

And this is a cool feature — if you copy/cut text using keyboard commands (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + X), you can then paste the selection (Ctrl + V) into one of your paired devices. (I knew this feature worked with an MX mouse, but I don’t have one and was surprised to learn it worked with just the keyboard) Typing on the MX Keyboard is pure joy — by comparison, the other Logitech keyboards I’ve owned feel like pure junk.

I actually look forward to typing. It’s a real game changer. So why only 4 stars? Two reasons. First is Logitech’s software. They have made (some) improvements, but overall it is still a hot mess and I’m not feeling so great about the security of the Unifying receiver (my M650 mouse came with the new Logi Bolt which is far more secure).

Both the M650 and the MX Keys also pair via Bluetooth, but I was having some trouble getting it to pair. because, Logitech. Ultimately, I ended up trading up to the MX Keys for Business version which comes with the Logi Bolt receiver and is also Bluetooth compatible.

They keyboards are nearly identical (one or two Fn keys are different) but the additional security was important to me and is also something that most IT departments will support if you want to pair the keyboard with your work laptop.

If you need to replace your keyboard or are looking to upgrade, this should definitely be among your top choices.

The keyboard is great. I love the feel of the keys. Most Important I find the backlighting the biggest feature. The inclusion of backlighting on Logi keyboards keeps me using them over the Apple Keyboards.

The Mac Studio M1 Max machine is a beast. I am running Mac OS playing 4k Apple TV video and playing a racing game in Apple Arcade. This in Parallel(s) to a Windows 11 Virtual Machine running the DIRT video game in Steam while steaming 4k Video on Youtube in Microsoft Edge.

While this is going on I am running a Fedora Linux Virtual machine streaming 4k YouTube video in Firefox browser while running a SNES emulator playing Super Mario Kart. Granted you can’t simultaneously play 3 games at once but at any point I could mouse over to any of the games.

Click into the window to bring that game to the forefront and resume playing with the Bluetooth connected PS4 controller. With all of this going on I saw no blips in ANY rendered windows. I had 2 monitors hooked up so I could see all items running simultaneous in Mac OS and Windows.

I had to swipe over to the Linux screen to see that performance. EVERYTHING ran smooth as butter and ready for this >> using 34-48 % CPU, 25GB of 32GB of Memory (Windows VM used 11GB). My system monitor showed 125 degrees (F) across all cores.

Energy used was 25 watts! An equivalent Intel based iMac Machine running half of what I was running tonight would have been spinning all fans at full power and bogging down. During my tests the RPMs were reported at 1300 RPMs and I don’t hear a thing.

Hats off to Apple and their design of Apple Silicon. Now if their Software Team could deliver at the level that the Hardware team does then Apple would be untouchable.

I bought this keyboard for my entertainment room. I wanted a bluetooth keyboard with a number pad and the option to connect to multiple devices. I have this keyboard setup with the following devices: PC (connected via bluetooth) PS4 (connected via RF adapter) iPhone (connected via bluetooth) Items I can provide feedback on: 1.

) This keyboard is heavy. It’s weighted so if you put a full-sized tablet in the device slot, it will not tip over. This is not a bad thing at all, just something I didn’t think about when I purchased it.

2. ) This keyboard does NOT pair via bluetooth to a PS4. Thankfully it comes with a USB RF mini transceiver and I use that to connect my PS4 to this keyboard. 3. ) I wasn’t sure about the round keys, but they have a nice tactile feel to them and the key press is comfortable and quiet.

4. ) The device slot along the top of the keyboard is wide enough to hold my iPhone13 in its case (portrait or landscape). 5. ) The power switch is along the upper right side of the keyboard. It’s small and out of the way.

6. ) The function keys F1-F3 are utilized as device switches. You need to use the fn button to utilize the function keys as a standard keyboard. 7. ) The battery compartment cover is not the greatest; however, since the keyboard is rated to provide ~20 months of use on 2 AAA batteries, you do not have to go into it very often.

8. ) The keyboard does not tilt (due to the built in device tray it would not make sense). Given this sits in my lap for most of its use, it does not bother me. Overall I’m very happy with the keyboard and would buy another if needed.

A lot of the things I thought would be “pros” for this keyboard aren’t. For example, the tray for holding other devices only works if you don’t have a case on it. My Kindle Fire would only fit standing perfectly straight and would fall over if I bumped the keyboard.

I tried taking it out of the case but that wasn’t much better. The 3 white keys at the top of the keyboard are great as long as you only plan to use them to switch between devices. If you want to use them as F keys (F1, F2, F3) you have to press the FN key while pressing the F key.

That’s true for ALL the F keys. It should be the opposite; you should have to press the FN key to switch devices and all the other stuff. If I press the F5 key it gives a context menu instead of refreshing the webpage.

You have to hold the FN key while pressing F5 to reload. There isn’t a dedicated page up key. You have to press FN and the 9 key on the number pad (not the 9 above the letters) to go to the top of the page.

Same for Home, End, page down, and insert. There is a Delete key at the end of the F key row. I’ve used Windows keyboards for 25+ years and never had a problem. I’ve even used several Logitech keyboards and loved them.

This K780 is making me have to relearn things I’ve always done. I’m constantly hitting F5 and getting the stupid context menu. I’ve started doing CTRL+R to refresh the screen. That’s still something I have to do differently than I have for over 2 decades! I really wanted to love this keyboard.

If it’s your first keyboard you’ve ever used then you probably won’t have a problem since you won’t have to relearn basic things. If you have used keyboards before you may want to consider a different one.

If you really want the multi-device option then I hope you can learn to use the F keys again.

I bought two of these a few weeks back because I run two computers simultaneously. Like: Quiet keys, almost similar to laptop keys, quiet but a tat harder. Smaller than a full size keyboard. Round keys, I thought it would be an issue hence I bought from Office works in case I need to return, but it turned out, round keys prevent mistyping the next key which is great.

Fast change of specific computer connection at the press of button. Bluetooth. Dislike: no CAPS lock indicator. heavy weight due to the tablet holder. Additional width due to table holder. No keyboard stand to tilt it.

F1 to F12 and PrintScreen keys need to be accessed with Fn key. Conclusion: My dislikes can be worked around, so overall, great keyboard for what I need, it’s a keeper. I use it for work, mostly typing.

This key board is specifically for MAC and Very popular because of having smart Illuminated and fast keys, having facility to connect Bluetooth, low energy technology, rechargeable and easy to switch keys to connect up to 3 devices.

It is rechargeable and once fully charged, its battery last up to 10 hours which is the most important bit for me. Besides this I like the keys colour which is not just white as compared to Apple. Its keys sound is simply great and fingers can be easily moved around and look wise its quite different style and look which give you better option to do more without compromising on typing speed or style of keyboard.

Brightness and music can be easily controlled by a single button which is just close to each other. I especially like its weight and the rubber grip which hold tight. Overall, very good quality keyboard along with nice packaging and boxing.

Really a great alternative if you want to change or wanted to do something more. Highly recommended.

Well, what can I say, this is such a great small keyboard. I am using it with a McBook Pro 15inches in a home setup and I have been a very happy user. The typing feeling is nice and consistent. The keyboard lighting comes in very handy for late sessions and can also be turned off as needed if you want to save on battery.

The addition of a screenshot and emoji keys are quite useful to save on a few clicks. I am mostly using it plugged as working from home so can’t comment on the battery longevity. The one thing that took me slightly by surprise is that the scale of the keyboard is different from my MacBook which means that switching from one to the other makes me mistype for a few minutes but not a big issue for me and this is not the fault of the keyboard.

All in all, I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this for just over a week now, it has been a great replacement for my old Apple Wireless keyboard. It’s nicely built with quality materials not cheap plastic and has a solid feel to it not hollow, but at the same time it’s light and not bulky.

If you like the feel of apple keyboards but don’t like the over inflated apple prices this is a great keyboard. The key response is the perfect for me, the level of sensitivity I press the keys when I’m typing is important and it seems to pickup what I typed without double typed letters in the middle of a sentence.

It’s very easy to link via bluetooth, the battery is OK but it comes down to how often you use it and what for, I don’t think it would be good for gaming but that’s just my preference others may like it for gaming.

As for typing I highly recommend you get one.

This is a great budget option for the iPad Pro user who is wanting to get more out of their tablet. If you want a laptop like experience but don’t want to spend the money on the Apple Magic keyboard this is the next best option.

It does have some advantages over Apple’s keyboard as well such as the function row with quick access to change backlighting (for both screen and keyboard), volume, as well as a few other quick access buttons.

Overall the typing experience is good. Not quite as good as the Apple magic keyboard, but very good for a folio style keyboard and better than some of the other ones I’ve used in the past (including Logitech’s earlier designs).

The touch pad seems just a slight bit less responsive than Apple’s but it definitely gets the job done and has more surface area in direct comparison. What really makes this keyboard case stand out is it’s versatility.

It has the ability to go from keyboard typing mode, to no keyboard propped up, or set down with a slight angle for sketching. As with anything there is some trade off to this design. The typing position takes up a lot of room! This isn’t a problem when using on a desk, but trying to use it in a lap or on a small table becomes difficult if not impossible.

The kickstand seems to hold its position pretty well but it is still very springy. So tapping or touching the screen in any position will cause it to give (this is most noticeable and most annoying in the sketching position.

The keyboard attaches by magnet so it’s as easy as pulling apart or touching together to change your iPad’s setup. The bumper adds a layer of protection that is nice for keeping the iPad safe, but at the cost of wrecking the light weight sleek feel of the iPad.

With the Apple Magic Keyboard or a folio like the one ESR makes you can easily remove the iPad magnetically and use it unencumbered. With the combo touch you are always stuck with the thick feel and added weight of the bumper and kickstand.

I do really like the finish, it’s less prone to fingerprints than the Apple magic keyboard and seems like it would be easier to clean. To the eye it almost appears to be a fabric but has a nice look and feel and should be easy to maintain.

Ultimately it’s a great deal if you don’t care about having the best typing experience available and have plenty of space to stretch it out. I personally prefer the Apple magic keyboard for it’s fit/finish and the way it props the iPad up in a smaller foot print (not to mention the extra charging port) but it comes at a cost.

After researching through countless case/keyboard combos for iPad Air 4 (and there are quite a few with 4+ stars) I realized they were first designed for iPad Pro and iPad Air 4 happened to have the same form factor…hence they were also including iPad Air to include their sale without spending more time/money.

The biggest issue with this is they all partially (or fully) covered the Touch ID button with plastic piece. This sort of made sense since iPad Pro uses Face ID and the power button is simply a power button.

I also read many reviewers complain about the occasional pairing issues and the need to separately charge the keyboard. Plus the keyboard didn’t separate in many products. For a while I thought that the Magic keyboard was the only solution…but I wasn’t comfortable spending $300 for it, not to mention when you separate iPad from the keyboard, the iPad is unprotected.

This was a concern for me since the camera lense was not flush with the body so it could easily be scratched if I was not careful where I place it. I didn’t want to spend $300 only to scratch my lense.

We’ll, somehow I came across this Logitech product. After researching further, it was obvious this is the product for me. It uses iPad’s smart connector so you don’t have to worry about the pairing issue or charging it.

And after separating the iPad from the keyboard, it still protects my iPad. I also like the function key rows at the top, which the Magic keyboard lacks. It’s nice to control the brightness and volume level (along with other functions) on the keyboard.

After receiving it, I’m quite happy with the keyboard. I could type away like a small laptop. The touch pad is larger than the one on the magic keyboard and really responsive. The case’s surface is actually.

better than the magic keyboard where you can leave fingerprints. It has cloth-like material and feels pretty good to touch. Since this is made specifically for my iPad Air 4th gen, the cutout for the rear camera is just right and protects the lense (unlike the other ones where the cutout is for iPad Pro.

The Touch ID button is clearly cut out and I don’t have any issue unlocking my iPad. I have to admit it’s well worth the price of this product. Now, the reasons I didn’t give 5 stars (I would have give 4.

5 if I could) were if you have Apple Pencil like me then it’s not easy to open the case because there isn’t much area to pull it apart. I end up having to take my pencil off so I can latch my finger to the edge.

Another issue is its USB-C opening. It works with the one that comes with my iPad, but many 3rd party USB-C would not fit…not to mention attachments. Magic keyboard doesn’t have this issue because it doesn’t cover (read protect) iPad edges.

Otherwise, it’s good as or in some areas better than the Magic keyboard. I think Logitech did well putting together this case specifically for my iPad Air 4. Lastly, it weighs almost as much as the magic keyboard so don’t be surprise the heftiness.

Some may not like this, but I personally like it better than lighter weight but flimsy case. The whole point of the case is to protect its iPad.

Trying to find a case/keyboard combo that uses the smart connector on the iPad Pro is pretty much impossible if you’re not using the Apple Magic Keyboard. This is an excellent alternative if you’re not willing to shell out the $350+ USD for Apple’s product.

The Combo Touch Keyboard Case from Logitech feels like a very solid product! Key spacing is good. You actually get the function key row! Backlighting of the keys! Fully functional trackpad! Very durable case! The ability to remove the keyboard and lie the iPad down flat or use the kickstand to write or draw is a great plus! That being said, there are some slight cons to this wonderful keyboard case.

The amount of weight it does add to the iPad overall is a bit much at times. Because I do IT work in a manufacturing plant, I need to be a bit mobile to troubleshoot and take notes/document issues. While at times I’ll leave the keyboard at my desk and just take my Apple Pencil with me, it’s still pretty heavy to hold and write at the same time.

While at the desk with the keyboard, use with the kickstand does take up a considerable amount of space. Because of the amount of space it takes up, you can almost forget about trying to use this to type while it’s sitting on your lap.

It’s just too big and floppy to try and balance properly. Overall, a fantastic product and alternative to Apple’s offering, especially coming in about $120 USD cheaper.

I got my iPad Air 4 recently and was looking for a protective case and keyboard to go with it. I spent hours upon hours watching videos on whether to buy the logitech combo or the Apple magic keyboard.

I decided on the combo touch and I am so glad I did. This is a quality product, the build, the protection, the keys, the trackpad the whole thing screams quality. Super easy to use, the function keys that come on the combo touch and not on the magic keyboard are a real game changer and helps you navigate through apps and web pages so much faster, the volume buttons and brightness buttons leave you never needing to even touch the screen.

The fact you can disconnect the keyboard so easily makes it ideal if you also use your iPad in bed to watch content etc like I do. All around I’m chuffed with this, its not cheap but its worth every cent and still $150 cheaper than the magic keyboard.

If you are looking for a case that provides full protection, a keyboard that you can remove when you want and still be protected, plus a great typing experience then go and buy this. Thanks JB Bondi my click and collect order was ready within 20 minutes on Easter – great service as usual.

This Combo protects the iPad Air within very well. It is easy to remove the keyboard thanks to the magnetic hinge which also connects the keyboard electronically to the iPad. The landscape stand integrated into the cover part is easy to open and close and is adjustable.

The Combo has it’s own battery which is charged when the iPad is charging. I LOVE having a keyboard for the iPad Air! You can do just about everything on the keyboard and touch pad that you can do on the screen with the major advantage that the screen stays clean.

There are a few negative points to consider: 1. When the keyboard part is connected the iPad is only practically useable in landscape mode. 2. It is heavy and makes the iPad Air much thicker. 3. It is a tiny bit buggy – I’ve had the touchpad pointer disappear and saw online that it is a known issue.

I was able to resolve the problem by powering the iPad Air completely off and then back on without removing the Combo and the problem has not re-occurred. 3. You can’t swing the keyboard 360 degrees to the back of the iPad.

Don’t try it because the keyboard will just come off in your hand.

I bought this case & keyboard as the previous one lasted 7 years & was excellent at protecting the iPad from falls off the sofa! The new one seems just as robust but has design faults. (1) The previous case had many more magnets to attach the keyboard – which I use as a support only – to the top of the case.

This one has insufficient magnets to attach to the case consistently. It’s always coming undone. (2) In contrast, the magnets that close the case are really strong and I can’t get the iPad open easily.

This happens every time. (3) The iPad thinks you’re using the physical keyboard as a keyboard and the onscreen keyboard disappears. These faults are driving me mad. If you don’t use the iPad as a TV, you’ll probably be OK, except for the keyboard disappearing.

(BTW the 12. 9″ iPad is huge. Do test whether you need such a size. Part of the case problem).

Logitech makes really nice folios for iPads. I first had one years ago and the service I received from Logitech was amazing. One of the keys popped off and when I contacted Logitech to buy one key, it replaced the folio even though nothing else was wrong with it.

It was so long ago that I no longer remember if the folio was still under warranty or not. Great customer service. I’ve been using the new folio for about a month-ish and am very happy with it. The touch on the keyboard is perfect for me and I find the charge in the iPad is good enough to take me through a full day of use.

Yea, it is powered by the iPad so you don’t need a separate cord or another thing to remember to charge. The folio also keeps my iPad screen free of extra dust and fingerprints that I would ordinarily get ifI were not using the folio, along with extra screen protection when it is closed.

There are keys you can use to brighten/lighten the display, increase/decrease the speaker, etc. , that make it a little more convenient than finding the buttons on the iPad. This costs more than a cover, but it is worth it to me.

Having the folding folio allows me to put in in a purse or other bag and not fret about messing up the screen. Yes, I am very happy with this Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Folio for iPad.

Well – lesson learned! My new expensive iPad Pro 5th generation just went crashing down onto the pavement and its all cracked. It was less than 2 days old!!! The magnetic which holds the iPad onto the Apple Keyboard Folio somehow lost its magnetic hold – and since there is no actual plastic sides which enclose the iPad – its easy for it to lose its magnetic hold on the metal iPad and become loose and away from the Apple Keyboard Folio – good thing I have Apple Care so I am not paying $750 to get a replacement glass – just only $50! So I now have another brand keyboard Folio which has sides on the iPad and holds it securely to the top half of the Keyboard Folio.

That other brand keyboard Folio doesn’t have a magnets to hold the top of the Folio cover!!! I hope you don’t learn a hard lesson that I learned – already paid for this Apple keyboard folio and then had to pay $50 to repair the iPad cracked screen – then I installed a iPad screen protection (yes they do make those) and then had to buy the other brand keyboard folio – the time and effort to get it repaired and the cost of the 2 keyboard folios – and the cost of the iPad screen protector – was a very expensive time consuming lesson!.

I am happy with this folio. Covers the iPad Pro completely, automatically activates the keyboard when placed in the proper position(s) yet doesn’t interfere with the touch screen. Keys are a bit close together for my hands, but a function of the smaller footprint.

I do not see using this for extended keyboard entry functions; but did not purchase my iPad Pro to replace a laptop/notebook. I view it as enhancing the functionality of my iPad Pro. The magnetic attachment to the back of the iPad Pro seems somewhat flimsy and the cover has detached several times in normal usage during the first month of ownership.

I would not view this a a protective cover device and would not anticipate it preventing any damage in a drop/fall event; simply a cover to protect from normal scuffs, scratches, etc. I purchased this as a Deal of the Day, at a significant discount, otherwise would not recommend.

I absolutely love this keyboard. My typing experience has been wonderful. I had the magic keyboard and returned it for the smart folio keyboard. Don’t get me wrong the Magic Keyboard was nice. I especially liked the trackpad.

However to me the Magic Keyboard would work better if I had the 12 inch iPad Pro. So I wanted a keyboard that lets me still feel like I was using an iPad. I can flip the iPad over and use it as a tablet.

The keyboard becomes deactivated then I can reattach my iPad. Once you disconnect your iPad from the magic keyboard you iPad doesn’t have any protection. So if you use your iPad as your main device the Magic Keyboard is the way to go.

If you’re not typing for long periods of time and only occasionally and won’t the iPad experience. Get the Smart Folio Keyboard and save yourself the money.

I’m a little surprised about the quality (and thought-process) of this product both for it being Apple and having the price tag it has. When the keyboard/iPad is shut closed, it’s extremely difficult to “open” it.

You need two hands to wedge it apart and then open the case, if you’re expecting an effortless flip open like you would a laptop, this will not provide you that. The edges feel quite cheap for how heavy it is.

The keyboard is “clicky,” if that bothers you, you likely will not like this. Additionally, this isn’t really suitable for anyone that wants to take their iPad off their desk. You either use the iPad (protected) in the keyboard case or you take it off and use it (unprotected) without the keyboard.

The viewing angles are EXTREMELY limited. as in essentially only one angle. again, more suited to the desk user. If you’re looking for another alternative (and cheaper) I refunded this one for Logitech Combo Touch and have found it to be much more practical.

The only pro of this case is the charging port, which leaves the iPad charging port open for SSDs or other dongle uses.

Excellent but rather expensive keyboard for the IPAD. A refurb unit was $250 but n my opinion well worth the price. No documentation came with it. No Pairing info but realized it wasnt needed. When the IPAd was magnetically connected to the keyboard all was recognized within a few seconds.

There is no place to attack the Pencil but its a sim pal process to attach the pencil to the top of the IPAD. It magnetically connects instantly. Very happy with the purchase. It replaced a third part keyboard that lasted maybe a year.

Could not hold the IPAD in any position. Im very happy with the Magic Keyboard and would recommend it for the purchasers of the latest 12. 9 IPADs.

If an iPad is used like a laptop with a lot of typing then this keyboard is a must have. I had Apple’s Smart Keyboard folio, which was ok for typing for a while but the difference with this keyboard is really huge.

I am not talking about the built in trackpad which transforms the iPad’s functionality. The keyboard feeling is really great. You’ll make fewer mistakes while typing and you’ll never get tired of it.

The extra usb-c port which may work as a charging port is great too as it frees the main port of the iPad for extra connections. The downside: Apart from expensive, it’s heavy and with the iPad attached to it it’s like holding a laptop in your hands.

The second downside is that you may not flip it entirely. So if you want to use the iPad as a book to read then you have to detach it from the keyboard completely.

I plumped for this over the new, and more expensive, Magic Keyboard. For me the fact that it folds flat and allows you to use the iPad as a tablet without having to be detached was important. The typing experience is just fine and i’m not trying to replace my MacBook with it.

If I had have been, I probably would have chosen differently. Two things though; the cover is protective and slim, but it’s finish is not particularly premium. It could definitely do with an upgrade in the looks and feel departments.

Also, on the older and smaller iPad Pro, it had a folding design that meant the keyboard wasn’t facing out when folded flat against the back of the iPad. This is no longer the case, and for me, that’s a significant downgrade in functionality/usability.

Like the best Apple products, ‘it just works’. Good size, full QWERTY keyboard. No connections – the magnet aligns the keyboard / folio to the iPad in the correct position. Keyboard is active when the ipad screen is sitting up.

If you fold the keyboard round the back of the ipad, the keyboard is disabled. The keyboard acts as a cover for the ipad screen too, switching off the ipad when closed. Keys are responsive, large enough and comfortable to use.

Looks and feels good. Thoroughly recommended.

I can’t believe I bought this keyboard folio under the “heavy use” category. It’s brilliant honestly, with the only sign of wear I see is one spot on the back from a sticker or something. I’ve tried wiping it away, and it has stayed, but I don’t care.

After a good cleaning, I can’t feel it and its not like I’m constantly looking at that side of the case. So to me, it’s practiaclly new.

At first I was really excited for it – hard to find a SmartConnector keyboard for an old iPad Pro. When I first bought my iPad Pro, I got a Logitech SmartConnect keyboard for it, which I thought was tremendous.

It gave out after about 3 years and is no longer made. I bought a Lenrich USB keyboard to replace it, which was heavy as a pig but worked okay. When it gave out, I looked for another SmartConnector keyboard.

I found this on eBay and thought I’d give it a shot. It arrived okay and was in good condition. When I first used it, I noticed a subtle warp. It wouldn’t sit solidly on a table. Irritating, but no big deal.

A few months in, I started getting messages from iOS saying “accessory not supported. ” If I wiggled it around enough, I could get it to work but it seemed the contacts were no longer secure. Those messages got more and more obnoxious until I just replaced it with another Lenrich USB keyboard.

Works when it wants to was someone elses title; I agree. I bought mine new with my iPad Pro 12. 9 (1st gen). The lettering started coming off the home row within months. I dont know why I didnt immediately go to the local Apple Store for a replacement.

Here I am with this same unit, years later, missing labeling on five keys. The fabric is coming up around the home row keys and the spacebar. The keyboard will often fail to remember that modifier keys are being held.

It will also suddenly behave as though keys are being held (when theyre not). Sometimes it just wont work at all, or apps wont respond to commands, but will respond to typing in text boxes. Nothing makes sense about that.

My iPad has started telling me to unlock it to use accessories, even though the keyboard hasnt been removed (it never used to do this). It also seems to be triggering the charging notification sound (with no charge cable connected).

On top of that, iOS has a LOT of keyboard lag. I dont know why this is getting worse lately. I dont know if its the keyboard, the Smart Connector between the two devices, the OS. Thereve been no changes to iOS on this device since Apple stopped updating iOS 12.

All of these complaints and it still seems these keyboards are the best choice forthis device in the physical sense. The compact nature, no batteries, no cables, no bluetooth, the Smart Connector is made for it, the sturdy angle the iPad sits at.

But it was clearly not engineered for longevity or durability, and was expensive from day one. Trying to find a replacement, at this point in time, leads to similar prices for used units. Very few companies sell keyboards for the first generation iPad Pro.

Any Bluetooth keyboard should work, but then you need something to hold up the iPad.

I’ve struggled for ages with bluetooth keyboards for ipads. and aside from the slight inconvenience of having to charge those other devices and constantly having to reconnect them, the keyboard lagged so bad.

I actually took a video one time of me typing at a relativ3ly normal pace for about a minute and then showing how long it took for all the letters to appear on the screen. at least 3 times as long. that being said, the smart connector keyboard is brilliant.

it is literally the same speed as if I were on my laptop. It so much feels like my laptop, that sometimes I reach for the trackpad instead of the touchscreen. I appreciate that it also acts as a case.

slightly wish I could have more stand angles but its not that big of a deal.

When I purchased this case the photos showed you could magnetically charge your Apple Pencil, which you cannot. I only found out after emailing support to find out why it wasn’t charging, they responded and told me the product doesn’t support Apple Pencil Charging.

I sent them a screen shot of the product image from the website showing a picture and description stating it did. They replied and said the image was incorrectly added to this case. This was the main reason we had ordered this case.

They have since removed the photo, so hopefully there will be no further confusion in the future. If you are looking to charge your Apple Pencil while using a case then this may not be the case for you.

After looking at several options for my new iPad I settled on this case based on reviews from several sources. So far I really like the case. Well-lit keyboard, very tactile, case is pretty well made and doesn’t break the bank.

This case is everything that it advertises. Love the removable keyboard. Keyboard function keys make it easy to navigate the iPad. Extremely easy to pair.
