20 Best Keyboard For 50 Dollars (2023 Updated)

I was excited to try this new keyboard and hoped that it would be a worthy replacement for my aging (3 year old) Razer Huntsman Elite V1 who’s volume control has long since stopped working properly. Upon unboxing I noticed that it just wasn’t near as heavy as my Razer and didn’t feel good in the hand.

I set it down on my desk and after plugging it in I tried typing on it and it just felt cheap and the switches appear to be exposed underneath the keys. Then I was greeted by difficulty in storing my lighting profile plus it caused icue to drop my dark core pro se profile.

So I wipe both devices and start again and was able to store the profiles and thought that I was getting somewhere. I then started playing some videos and upon tapping the spacebar to pause I noticed that my video did not pause and was doing some strange things so I tapped the spacebar again.

This time I noticed that it had stuck in the bottomed out position. I tried a persistent tapping and prying on it and was able to get it free. I then started tapping on it to see if it would do it again and lo and behold it stuck in the down position again.

I immediately unplugged it and put it back into its box to return to Best Buy. This kb cost far too much for this kind of poor quality and I’m going to get the Huntsman Elite V2. If you’re buying a kb or anything else do yourself a favor and try to go by the store and put your hands on them before you buy.

No I would not recommend this keyboard to anybody.

Coming from a Corsair K70 RGB Mk. 2, I had some reservations about buying this keyboard. I was worried about latency, charging, and the GL switches. Now that I have it, I’m honestly more upset I didn’t buy it sooner.

There’s no noticeable latency, there’s very little fatigue after coding for hours with it, the keys are responsive, and the battery lasts a decent amount of time even with full lighting. There are a handful of drawbacks to be mindful of however.

1. The software. The first time it complained about needed to be charged, the lighting scheme froze in “recharge” mode until I restarted the app. I don’t know how, but as good of a hardware manufacturer Logitech are, their software over the years has been consistently quirky and poorly designed.

2. It also only saves presets on-board. If you’re using a custom lighting configuration, you HAVE to use the software. The side effect of this is, when the keyboard boots, you get the default rainbow effect until it connects (only a couple of seconds but meh).

This also means if you want custom lighting when switching between devices, you also will need to install the software on the second device. Not massive but this feels like something easily fixed with a firmware update, but I’d be surprised if they do.

3. The placement of the G keys on the side. I had to set G5 to act as a second ctrl key due to me being used to the ctrl key being where it is lol. I’ll probably grow out of it the more I use the keyboard, but it’s definitely a gotcha.

4. Keys secondary functions (like symbols on the num row) are silk screened on so they don’t light up. And a minor gripe, but if you put it on the floor, unless the feet are up there’s not really many places to grab it with one hand since it’s so low profile and doesn’t have a wrist rest.

Despite it not being 100% perfect, it’s one of the nicest keyboards I’ve ever used, and works for enough of my use cases that these drawbacks aren’t a dealbreaker. I’d recommend it to most.

I love the feel of mechanical keyboards, especially for gaming. I was looking for a mechanical keyboard with good tactile feel but a quieter ‘click’. It’s very difficult to find good information about how the quiet mechanical keyboards feel to use – and it’s expensive to play a guessing game.

In the end I bought this keyboard because the ability to have Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired options was useful for my work from home requirements. It’s a very nice keyboard, and I would recommend it.

The tactile feel is not quite the same as what I really want in a gaming keyboard. which I think is because of the raised nature of the keys. They’re a little bit wobbly just by the nature of the design.

However the experience of typing and gaming is satisfactory and the wobble does not impact the action of the key when pressed. Having an integration with Discord for the Macro keys is also a nice surprise bonus, as (at the time of writing) Razer does not have this.

on my previous Razer keyboard I had to bind the mute/deafen to a key combination and then bind the macro keys to that key combination. It worked, but was a bit messy.

I purchased this open box, complete. Staff let me review the product before checkout. The brown keys are not overly loud and feel responsive. I had a hard time adjusting my right hand keystrokes as I’m coming from a full-size keyboard but acclimated quickly to the change.

Backlighting is good. Software is fair. The Bluetooth connection has been easy to set up on several devices (cell, laptop, desktop). There’s a switch to quickly change devices. I like the size: my desktop feels cleaner, I can easily carry it in a laptop bag, and it still has some heft and firm grips on it so it stays put when in use.

My favorite features are the Bluetooth and size. Only issue I’ve experienced has been that a key was not functioning upon first use. The 6 key would not activate, unless I used the Fn key in unison, in which case the Fn6 (F6) would work.

This was odd. The issue resolved itself however within a day without any action on my part. There are better keyboards out there, but for a budget entry to mechanical keyboards I am happy with the quality, the price, and the features.

The keyboard is smaller then I expected. However, after using it for an hour I fell in love with it. I use it with my desktop and laptop simultaneously. The quick switch button works immediately. The keyboard feels really nice and does not make too much noise.

The typing experience and gaming are both excellent. The only thing I miss on the keyboard are the independent arrow keys. I just need to get used to using the FN-W-A-S-D keys for arrows. Other than that I absolutely love the keyboard and would highly recommend.

Overall pretty good keyboard, it’s hot-swappable, comes with 4 different types of key for you to put on your keyboard or just to have. It is USB Type C so you know it’s going to be fast. It has magnificent RGB lighting.

It seems and feels like a good keyboard for a Streamer/YouTuber (Wink Wink). The packaging was kind of fancy ngl. It’s brown switch (so you don’t have to slam your key’s so it’ll respond)So So it’s good for fast swift movements for when your typing/gaming.

It’s actually really satisfying to use it (Kind of like an ASMR keyboard) It’s good for setting up keybinds for when recording, streaming, etc. So in conclusion pretty good keyboard. For its price, it’s amazing actually! Detachable cord, Bluetooth, Brown Switch, beautiful RGB lighting Small and compact design, kind of heavy, and is really fun to use.

So I give this keyboard a 5-star rating.

I really like the Drop Alt for both the design and form factor. It is an excellent board out of the box, but still needs some work to become perfect. I also like the weight of the high profile, its pretty hefty for its size and does not move around.

If you intend to travel around with it, would recommend the low profile one. While perfectly ok to use out of the box, putting a bit of effort and patience makes the experience so much better. I know at the price, it feels like it should be perfect out of the box, but the reality is that this is an entry level hobbyist board and has some room for modifications.

Being a hot-swappable keyboard, removing the switches and replacing them is a breeze. I would personally recommend changing the stabilizers as stock ones aren’t great (very very rattly with metallic ping).

It is again a very easy process as they are plate mounted stabilizers, and do not need to be broken apart and reassembled to do this. I got the Everglide plate mounted stabs from Drop, but ended up with Durock plate mounted stabilizers.

The keyboard went from okay to amazing after installing lubed switches and stabilizers. A quick google search can show the process and the effect of lubing switches/stabs in case you are not aware. The only issue I faced is that initially it was not waking the PC from sleep mode, but a firmware re-install resolved that (for Windows users, do check that device manger does not allow the PC to turn off the USB’s to save power.

Go to Device Manager – Keyboards – right click and select Properties for each device listed – go to Power management tab – “allow this device to wake the computer” should be checked and “Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power” should be unchecked.

) Another issue is that there is no memory for the lighting presets, and if unplugged it will go back to the default lighting mode every time and needs to be changed manually.

I used to think that high-end keyboards were pointless. I’d buy a keyboard once a year or so, usually something expensive from Razor or Corsair, and by the time I remembered how briefly I had had the previous board, it was already too late to do anything about it, or more frequently, switches had worn out.

As someone who spends a ridiculous amount of time typing (it’s my job), I now understand how important having a quality, comfortable keyboard is, and how much of a difference it can make in someone’s daily life.

On sale, this is an absolute steal, and even at full price, it’s a great bargain. This keyboard is very well made, and has a hefty, solid feel unlike anything else I’ve ever used. The fact that the keyboard is entirely modular also means that I’ll never again need to replace a keyboard, or buy a new one.

Switches and keycaps, even the underlying PCB can be swapped out or replaced as needed, and can be done so easily, thanks to the included tools. The lights are also very cool, and even though they can be a little distracting, they can also be turned off at will.

The included switches (halo true) are also outstanding, and quiet. You can pick whatever switches you want, of course, but as someone who hates clicky keyboards (used one for years, probably have a mental condition), this option is super nice.

Bottom line: if you work with computers, or are a writer, or anything involving more than 10 hours per week on a computer producing work – something like this should be considered an essential purchase.

And having tried many, many mechanical keyboards over the years, trust me when I say that 1) this is really not an expensive keyboard, and 2) it should be.

The ALT is an expensive board with some fundamental issues that it doesn’t need to have at this price point. For my first mechanical keyboard, it was generally a decent experience; however, two things stick out.

One, the board pings like crazy out of the box. My headphones block much of the noise, but every switch input is accompanied by a quiet, high-pitched ping*. Keep in mind that I haven’t yet lubed the springs at time of writing, which may be contributing to the sound, and that it is lessened by putting the board on a mat, but other reviews I’ve seen suggest that the ping isn’t really something you can eliminate.

(*: The ping was indeed alleviated by spring lubing with GPL105, but that’s an unfortunate extra expense in addition to the high stock price. ) Two, the stock stabilizers really suck. My spacebar sounds like a shotgun going off compared to the relatively quiet alpha keys, and it rattles as though it’s scared to be touched**.

I can wiggle the backspace almost enough to touch the adjacent = and Del keys. While this could be alleviated by buying better stabilizers, the fact that the board only supports plate-mount stabs means that you can’t reduce rattle or wiggle nearly as much as you could with PCB-mount stabilizers.

(**: Spacebar and rattle sound was alleviated by bandaid modding and generous lubing, as well as swapping the spacebar switch stem with a linear stem; I used Gateron Yellow) Some of the other issues are much more personal and may not affect you.

For one, although I’m aware that it would be a bonus and is certainly not obligatory, I would have appreciated some extra keycaps to represent other options for the navigation keys, as I found all four choices to be better accessed through function layers, and now none of the keycaps on the right side say what they actually do.

This is on me. The last thing is that since I chose Halo Clears, I have to note one of the defining qualities of the Clears and Trues, which is that they wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. You really can mercilessly tug these keys around; I suspect it contributed partly to the wiggly stab keys, but it’s also present on the wider non-stabilized keys, such as right shift and caps lock.

Although this review probably came out with a pretty negative tone, I do think I could have done a lot worse for a first keyboard; while in retrospect I wish I had gotten the high profile case, or the CTRL, or even an entirely different keyboard, it’s not the ALT’s fault that it helped me learn more about what I like in keyboards by having some of the stuff I don’t like.

If you’ve got money to burn on a somewhat expensive option, and you won’t feel like smacking yourself when you replace the stabs, buy lube just for the switches and springs, buy a high profile case (at a frankly ridiculous price for a mostly aesthetic upgrade–seriously, this needs to be a trade-in option when you could just get a bare-bones kit for a few more bucks), or whichever things dissatisfy you about the ALT, then I certainly recommend it.

but in the end, it might just not be the ideal board for me, and that could be different for you. I hope this review helps you, the buyer, come to a decision you’re happy with; stay safe, hope you’re doing well in these times.

(EDIT: Changed from 3* to 4* after lubing switches and stabs with 205g0, as well as clipping + bandaid modding the stabs. Honestly made a world of difference, although the sound profile is still a little sketchy; if you’re fine with spending the extra $15 on lube and a brush, then a lot of the problems I noted above such as excessive rattle and shotgun spacebar are alleviated, though not eliminated; the rating remains at 4* rather than 5* due to the board still being rather expensive, and for the lack of extras as noted in the second-last paragraph.

I really wanted to love this keyboard, but two things prevent me from giving it a good review. It all has to do with the arrow keys. One: the arrow keys have been remapped to the u-h-j-k keys, which means in order to use them, you have to use your right pinky to engage the Fn key and then shift your other fingers one space over to the left (if you want to use the arrow keys similarly to how you normally would).

Contrast this with the Razer Huntsman Mini 60% keyboard, where the arrow keys have been remapped to the i-j-k-l keys, so that your fingers can stay where they naturally rest on the keyboard while your pinky engages the Fn key.

It’s a subtle difference but it makes the Razer WAY more usable for fast typing, whereas this Corsair is more of an inconvenience. Two: the windows key becomes a “lock” key when you hit Fn + Windows key at the same time.

This locks the Fn functions of the whole keyboard. This is probably not an issue on Windows, but on Mac OS, this prevents you from being able to use Cmd+Shift+Arrow keys to select blocks of text. Since you have to engage the Fn key to use the arrow keys, and the Windows key becomes Cmd on Mac, this creates a conflict between the key mapping of the OS and the specific function of that key with this keyboard.

These might be extremely niche use cases, but for anyone who does a lot of fast typing and uses keyboard shortcuts to select blocks of text on Mac OS, you’ll likely feel the burn of those missing functions.

I tried really hard to figure out a button remapping solution that would help, to no avail. You might say “well it’s a 60% keyboard with no arrow keys, what did you expect,” but like I said, the equivalent keyboard from Razer does not have this problem.

Corsair made a bad design decision, and it limits the capabilities of this keyboard.

Corsair has managed to build a keyboard that is both the smallest and the biggest I have ever seen. While the K65 Mini has a miniscule footprint, its nearly two inches of height makes for a somewhat imposing presence on your desk.

And I absolutely love it. Despite the plastic shell it is a remarkably sturdy piece of gear with absolutely no deck flex, a satisfyingly smooth (though not at all tactile) typing experience, and all the top tier features you’d expect from a premium keyboard from Corsair.

It is over the top, showy, and absolutely glorious. For those who haven’t tried mechanical “gaming” keyboards before, I should probably explain that they are one relatively few examples of gaming specific gear that actually does have a measurable impact on your gaming performance.

Standard membrane keyboards register a keypress only when you bottom out a key – and generally struggle to accurately register keypresses when you hit several keys simultaneously or in close succession.

Standard mechanical keyboards use individual switches for each key. These switches can be designed to trigger (aka: actuate) with much less travel, so you don’t need to bottom out the key before the computer registers you’ve pressed it.

Good ones also feature microcontrollers that can better track keypresses as they occur, providing full n-key rollover (registering multiple keyboard presses) and eliminating ghosting (when a keyboard fails to register a keypress because it happened too close to one that was already being processed.

) Gamers love them because the more responsive and reliable control inputs improve reaction times and make it easier to use complex keyboard commands or combos. They’ve also proven to be quite popular among particularly fast typists, who can sometimes have issues with random typos appearing as a result of ghosting when they’re going at full tilt.

Corsair, in their typical fashion, has decided to fully embrace overkill with the introduction of their AXON microcontroller. AXON is able to check for new keypresses 8000 times every second. This is far, FAR more than any human should ever be able to take full advantage of, but on the flip side that also means that there’s even less time spent waiting between the moment you press the key and the moment it gets sent to your CPU.

And as if this weren’t enough they also built this particular board with Cherry MX Speed switches (also known as Cherry MX Silver, depending on who you ask. ) These actuate after just 1. 2mm of travel and require 25% less force to use than the standard clicky blue switches that have been the defacto standard for the last few years, making the keyboard even more twitchy.

They’re also linear switches, meaning they don’t have the tactile “bump” to let you know when the switch has fired and make significantly less noise as a result. Having used both I can tell you that typists will likely not find linear switches to be nearly as satisfying as tactile ones, since being able to feel each keypress land can greatly assist with overall accuracy, but for any kind of twitch gaming you’re going to be hard pressed to find much better than these speed switches paired with the AXON Controller.

And it doesn’t hurt that the keyboard looks great either. Corsair’s iCue software has come a long way since it first released and allows you to set up all manner of complex lighting effects and animations if you want, and the diffusion plate installed beneath the keys means that the entire thing glows with a softer and more pleasant effect than you get with most per-key lighting.

It’s particularly stunning with the optional “radiant” spacebar installed, though sadly this and the optional Corsair escape key are both painted single shot keys rather than the more durable molded double shot keys that the rest of the keyboard uses, which you can definitely tell if you look close enough as the surface finish doesn’t quite match.

As far as my actual usage experience goes, the only issues I really ran into come down to the fact that I’m just not used to using a 60% keyboard, which is really just a matter of practice. These keyboards are basically what you get when you decide that the already diminutive tenkeyless designs are just too big for your liking.

60% keyboards have no dedicated arrow, function, or navigation keys, requiring you to use function key combos for all of them. Corsair, to their credit, packed in a lot of these key combos. In addition to the usual arrow keys and function keys there’s a virtual mouse (which is just as clumsy as you’d expect trying to replace a mouse with a keyboard would be, but really nice to have if you ever find you actually need it,) media keys, macro keys, lighting controls, and the ability to lock the Windows key to prevent you from accidentally minimizing a game while you’re playing it.

There is a definite learning curve required to get good at these, and it feels a bit clumsy if you’ve gotten used to having a full keyboard available, but some will no doubt find it worthwhile to reclaim the desk space.

In my case, for example, I’m planning to mount the keyboard in a VR simpit I’ve built for games like Elite Dangerous or Microsoft Flight Simulator. The fact that I can attach it to a miniscule tray that I can swing out of the way without worrying that I’ll accidentally smash something in the process because I can’t see out the VR headset more than makes up for having to hold FN-K to scroll to the right.

I’d primarily recommend this to any gamers looking for a way to save space without compromising on quality or comfort who also don’t anticipate doing a ton of word processing.

This keyboard is an absolute pleasure to have. It is a sleek, compact, and overall very beautiful keyboard. One of the main reasons why I bought this keyboard was for the sound of the keycaps. I used to have cherry MX reds, which are satisfying, but I was looking for something less “clickaty-clackty”.

The K65, when I demo’d the display, felt amazing. It is very satisfying to type on and offers solid feedback when pressed with an accompanying solid sound that is not too loud. Another reason why I bought this was to reclaim desk space.

Switching to this K65 mini has freed up a good 70% of space. It is light, portable, and very easy to transport. This is NOT wireless, nor does it have a USB run-through near the top. The only issue I have with the keyboard is the positioning of the FN key.

The FN key is used when you want to do other actions that normal keyboards have a dedicated key for. The FN key is positioned to the right of the spacebar. If you play games that require F1 and do not want to rebind it, taking your hand off your mouse and then hitting FN+1 is a very cumbersome move.

This would have been a perfect keyboard if there was another FN key to the left of the keyboard or if you were able to reprogram the keys, but unfortunately you are unable. Overall, this keyboard is a 9/10 for me.

I was able to get it for 89. 95 which is an absolute steal.

Finally – All the features of MX series with mechanical characteristics! I’m already a BIG fan of the MX series, owning a full-size MX Keys keyboard and a separate Craft keyboard for my second workstation at my desk (for my creative work!).

I also have both an MX Master 3 and 3S mouse, an MX Vertical mouse, and the MX Anywhere portable mouse for travel (spoiler alert, I’m a Logitech peripheral fan!). Alas, I loved the MX series, but the keyboards required a compromise to take advantage of their build quality, backlighting, and reliability – Chiclet keys (low profile keys like a Laptop has!) The MX Mechanical doesn’t disappoint.

It has smooth, reliable key travel with a satisfying, but not-too-loud “clack” feedback that mechanical keyboard users crave. ALL of the MX Keys features are here, including customizability, EXCELLENT backlighting, and compatibility with Logitech’s own receiver format, and bluetooth PCs, tablets, phones and other compute devices.

There are a few new features specific to the mechanical keyboard that I thought were great: – The keys are two-tone, separating alphanumeric keys from functional counterparts – ABCDEFG1234 etc are all in a lighter gray cast, while SHIFT, ALT, CTRL, TAB, SPACE, etc are a darker color – It just gives the keyboard some style without losing the professionalism of the MX line – It would fit in with a business PC on an office desk, or in front of the latest gaming PC and frame sync monitor.

It really bridges the two worlds. – The keys aren’t just backlit, but customizable. There are multiple backlight settings available – Not just brightness adjustments. A few of note include a “wave” pattern to show off the variable backlighting in a wave pattern across the keyboard, and “breathe” pulse of all the keys, and a “contrast” feature (my favorite) where the functional keys are highlighted vs the alphabetical keys – Something that makes a difference for me in finding my way around the keyboard in my peripheral vision in a dark office.

There are a few quirks as well, mostly due to a generational leap that Logitech is making: – This keyboard is NOT compatible with Logitech’s UNIFYING receivers that they’ve been including with peripherals for YEARS now.

They have upgraded it to a new technology called Logitech BOLT which will replace UNIFYING in their lineup. BOLT has some technical advantages, such as reduced USB bandwidth and I believe better coverage/reduced latency but this will disappoint those who are only upgrading one peripheral and expected backwards compatibility with their other desktop components.

BOLT is the new UNIFYING at Logi, but you’ll need to upgrade everything to take advantage. – Just as with the hardware, the software is being replaced also- Gone is support for Logitech Options, the keyboard and mouse customization software for the rest of the MX series, to be replaced by Logitech Options+, which gets nary a mention on their Options website.

I spent about 30 minutes troubleshooting how I had the latest version of Options and STILL couldn’t see my MX Mechanical in its configuration screen. The good news here is that Options+ DOES support many of the older MX series items also, so upgrading to it in a mixed estate should be no problem.

All in all this is a generational change, which will delight some and infuriate others, but I’m so happy to have this device, no doubt inspired by Logitech’s gaming division and enabled as well as the rest of the EXCELLENT MX Series, in the stable.

I loved it so much I went out and added an MX Master 3S to the set (which I will review separately) just to have everything on my station on BOLT and Options+ and to take advantage of its improvements.

I am very skeptical of low profile keyboard in general, I have tried only couple of brands, the Keychron K1 and the Logitech G915 KTL so I can’t be so sure if the whole low profile keyboard market is that bad.

The Keychron K1 looks attractive, but for sure it can not compare with the quality and design concept from Logitech, where the G915 KTL looks stunning in every way, but when it comes to typing experience, both the Keychron K1 and the Logitech G915 feel terrible.

Here is why they are bad, they are both having the similar problems, the low profile switches and the keycaps are so loose, if you put a finger on a key, don’t press down but move your finger tip around, the key is basically follows you finger tip, this is where the problem is.

When type ping, you need to feel the stable keys and that where your typing confident is. When the keys are so loose and moving around to much, your typing experience and confident will start to go down, they will cause a lot miss type because your brain keep on telling your fingers to re-adjust to fine sweet table spot, but there is none, because of the keys design and the keycap with two legs insert design make the whole key construction even more unstable.

That is the key point of what a good keyboard about. Okey, that is the enough talk about the old stuffs! Let us now talk about the new low profile MS mechanical keyboard, I bought the Mini version with Clicky switches (I have alway been loving the clicky switches).

the MX mini came with different switch compare to the G915, I can feel that they are move stable, with a little more down ward travel, right the way out of the box the typing feels great, the switches are more tightly feel and the keycap’s insert leg is like the Cherry MX style switches, so they are less wiggle around.

This is the key to the overall feel and confident when typing and this is why this keyboard is a lot more satisfying compare to the G915. There are so many review nuts on YouTube they talk too much about stuffs like sound test and mod this mod that, listening to them will dry you crazy.

For me I just wanted to focus on the satisfaction and how confident I feel when typing, because that is what you do, you need the keyboard so you can type text all day, not to listen to what kind of should the keyboard producing, or this and that.

One other important aspect about the keyboard is the layout position of every key, a good layout contributes a lot to how quick one can learn and adapt to keyboard and become productive when you work, for that I think the MX full size and the mini are very well design and I have no complaint what so every with Logitech good track record on keyboard overall design and layout.

One addition sell point about this keyboard is it’s ability to automatically select Mac or Windows keys map this is the feature I wanted for a long time but not many company out there make the Mac Ready keyboard like Logitech, I think they finally get it.

The Mac is taking over the PC market and that is why Logitech starting to listen to its customer request features. I am going to keep this MX Mechanical Mini as my main daily keyboard. I wish if Logitech will put the same switches and keycaps on the G915, that will be even a better keyboard in every way, I love the G915 KTL design and KTL layout is my standard form of compact keyboard, unfortunately Logitech put the bad switch on the current G915 and that makes it such when typing, if they upgrade the switches to something like this MX mini or better, I will buy it right the way.

Something to improve on are the switch can be a little more tightly build and more stable, little less wiggle will be even better, if you have ever type on the Pro X gaming keyboard, you will know what it mean to be the best keyboard that I have been using as my daily coding keyboard for many years, the feel is amazing, I can type fast and so confident with PRO X KTL gaming keyboard.

The Keychron K1 look attractive, but for sure it can not compare with the quality and design concept from Logitech where the G915 KTL looks stunning in every way, but when it comes to typing experience, both the Keychron K1 and the Logitech G915 feel terrible.

Here is they they are bad, they both have the similar problem, the low profile key and the key cap are so loose if you put a finger on a key, don’t press down but move your finger tip around, the key is basically follow you finger tip, this is where the problem is, when type ping you need to feel a stable key and that where your typing confident is.

if the keys are so loose and moving around to much, your typing experience will loose confident and it will start causing a lot miss type because your brain keep on telling your fingers to re-adjust to fine sweet table spot, but there is none because of they key design and the keycap two legs insert design that make they whole key construction even more unstable.

That is the enough about the old stuffs! Let now talk about the new low profile MS mechanical keyboard, I bought the Mini version with clicky switches (I have alway been loving the clicky switches). and they came with different switch now where I can feel that they are move stable, with a little more down ward travel compare to the G915.

right the way out of the box they the typing feels great, switches are more tidily build and the keycap’s insert leg is like the Cherry MX style switch so they are much less wiggle around. This is the key to the overall feel and confident when typing and this is why this keyboard is a lot more satisfying compare to the G915.

There are so many review nuts on you tube are talking to much about stuffs like sound test and so much un important feature about the keyboard. For me I just want to focus on satisfaction and how confident I feel when typing, because I what you do, you need the keyboard so you can type text all day.

Not listing to sound or this and that. One other important aspect about the keyboard is the layout position of every key, a go layout contribute a lot to how quick can learn about keyboard and productive when you work.

For that, I thinks this both the full size and the mini are very well design and I have tom complaint what so every about the layout. One addition sell point about this keyboard is it ability to automatically select Mac or Windows keycap which I wanted for a long time but not many company about make the Mac Ready keyboard like Logitech.

I think they finally get it. That is why I am going to keep this MX Mechanical Mini as my main daily keyboard. I wish if Logitech will put the say switch and keycap on the G915, that will be even better keyboard in every way, I love the G915 KTL layout, unfortunately Logitech put the bad switch on the current G915, that make it a nice looking keyboard but such when typing.

I they upgrade the switch to something like this MX mini, I will buy it in a hearth right the way. One this to improve on is that I think the switch can be a little more stable, a little less wiggle will be even better.

like the gaming keyboard Pro X keyboard that I have been using as my daily coding keyboard, the feel is amazing, I can type fast and so confident with PRO X KTL gaming keyboard. Thanks Logitech for this MX mechanical keyboard, and please make the G915 KTL better with the new switch and keycap design.

Buy at your own risk!!!!!! They have terrible quality control and even worse customer service. I made a purchase in September and after dozens of emails (yes, emails! They don’t have a customer service phone number) and sending me 2 (yes, TWO!) broken keyboards, they offered to give me $40 and for me to keep the broken keyboards.

All I wanted was a working keyboard. I offered to send them back the keyboards so they send me a working one and they refused! So laughable. And btw @Google, before deleting this review, contact me and I’ll show you the email receipts.

I have no doubt that this company will lie and say my experience never happened, but I’d gladly share the email chain with you to show that everything I said above is true.

I bought this keyboard as a gateway keyboard to mechanical keyboards. The keyboard itself is pretty sure and have a bit of weight to it to keep it from sliding around. The RGB settings is very pleasing to look at and the sound of the sound of the Gateron brown switches does not sound as obnoxious compared to other switches.

However, the keyboard is a bit tall and you would probably need a wrist rest. Kinda disappointed that this was not the hot-swappable version and it was over-priced compared to other retailers.

super easy to type ,far better then what I had and more sensitive then laptop ! Letters a little smaller ,no issue though ! My hands will feel so much more relief and ability to type twice as long with half the effort ! I had low profile backlit ,this are twice as nice with many added functions built in including HYPER ATTACK and millions of light displays for gamers ! Promise you will love love love ! I am 60 yrs old and invest in gaming products simply because they function better and last longer ,built for abuse ! Keys a tad noisy if that are an issue ,move on by , but you will over look the noise promise ,if you had it ! My main reason to purchase were low profile ,backlit and ease of use ! It met those 3 plus some.

I had to get this keyboard as it was bundled with the GPU I wanted to buy. Turned out to be not too bad of an upgrade from my standard keyboards. Not sure if I’ll like the ‘click’ response of the keys over the long term but for now its a positive and there’s no doubt if you missed a keystroke or not.

The RGB function can be customized using pre-programmed variations that are easily stepped through using 2 keys. You can also make the back lighting dimmer or completely off if that’s your thing. The material seems pretty solid, nothing flimsy about any of the components that I’ve noticed.

Comes with 2 extra key caps and a remover tool.

This was a combo with a GPU and ironically my keyboard had just started giving me problems so I bought it as soon as it came up. then I went back and looked at what I had bought. Wasn’t real thrilled with what I was reading; the idea of a low profile keyboard didn’t sound like something I would want.

I didn’t know how I’d feel about shorter keystrokes, but after about 20 minutes I really dig it. Another thing that is nice is that I was able to install the Dragonforce software on my tablet and configure the RGB lighting and it stores the settings so I didn’t have to install the software on my main rig.

The aluminum top is a nice touch. I telework so I’m literally using this thing all day and then at night I’m using the same keyboard and it’s great for both.

Brought this keyboard for my daughter to introduce to PC Gaming. After getting home and testing out, considering ordering another for myself. Led is vibrant and can be configured with no software. Linear switched and board sounds and feels great for such a cheap board.

Further research there appears to be a large mod community out there for this board.

Brought this keyboard to play fps games and man it is truly amazing its smooth, key presses feel nice, no lag on key presses playing any fps is just a breeze with this keyboard. Its super light and easy to move around.

This is a review of keyboard 70012 “ProHT powered by Inland”. It looks a little different than the picture, despite having the same model number. The numlock/capslock lights are in the traditional space instead of set up like stairs in the online photo.

There is also a “winlock” light when you press Fn+Win, which disables the windows key (handy for gaming). The key set-up is neither ISO nor ANSI, but it’s closer to ISO, with the upside down-L enter key and the smaller left shift key.

The RGB lights can be turned off by pressing FN+down arrow several times. The fn key has a lot of features regarding the lights and media shortcuts, but none of this is labeled on the keyboard. You’ll have to save the cardboard box or just forget about them.

The keys themselves have a nice click and tactile feedback when pressing them. It sounds like a typewriter. It can get quite loud when you are typing fast. I like it, but I do get self conscious when typing during a conference call.

The top half of the case is a nice solid feeling metal, which is surprising in this price range. The bottom half is the plastic you’d expect. All in all it’s a great keyboard for the price. It would be 5 stars if the function keys were labeled on the keycaps and if it were a true ANSI or ISO layout.

This keyboard is a wonderful keyboard for someone who likes to have a brightly colored lit keyboard that gives definite feedback when typing – as the keys fully depress and make the click-clack sound (almost too much but I love the feeling and sound as long as I am not trying to be subtle).

There are a few quirks though. The shape of the enter key and the location of the \| key are slightly abnormal so they take a bit of time to get used to. There is also a button near the bottom that will change the lightshow pattern of the keyboard from a solid glow to all sorts of chasing lights and blinking lights to lights only when you type to no lights; the issue is that this button is easily bumped and to return your keyboard to the lightshow pattern you want, you must keep hitting the button until you get back to the one you want.

It’s a quirk more than a real flaw.

The lights make this a very pretty keyboard. The functionality however, leaves much to be desired. Keystrokes are often missed. I seem to have more issues with “5” and “d” (I had to type the 5 three times just now to get it to show up).

Also, there seems to be a stutter effect from time to time where the keyboard lags and enters a single keystroke 10 to 20 times. I’ll be replacing this keyboard soon, and that makes me sad as I had such high hopes.

The lights help in the dark (if I need to look) and the clickyness is awesome with a mechanical keyboard. I’d pick something more reliable if I were you.

I needed a small (temporary) gaming keyboard and thought to give this a try. I wanted to try small and I got small. Keys have a light mechanical sound/feel to them. The LED lighting was nice and the build quality seems OK.

Those are the pluses. I’ve come to the conclusion that small is not for me. I miss being able to hit a function key without using the Fn key, among other keyboard combinations. That is my issue though.

The keyboard functions as designed and I knew that before buying so no stars taken off. It works and looks pretty. good enough.

This was my first mechanical keyboard I’ve bought, but after using it for a month I can say that I can understand the hype. The product comes with a key puller and switch puller, and asks you to download proprietary software if you want to modify the RGB lighting.

The lighting itself is the brightest I’ve seen of any keyboard, and there are plenty of presets to choose from. It was also fairly cheap at $39 at the time of when I bought it in June 2022, so I hope it stays cheap! The keys are textured ABS, and with the Brown switches sound “most” at the depress.

Very nice, would buy again for the price and form factor.

Contrary to other reviews, this is NOT / was NEVER a clicking keyboard. This is a silent red switch mechanical keyboard. That clicking keyboard (sound & tactile feedback) is a blue switch. Also, this does NOT have dedicated arrow keys.

Arrow keys are on 65% and up keyboards, while this is a 60% keyboard. I think people that are new to the mechanical keyboard scene need to do their research before they buy and regret their purchases.

Product feels and looks nice to a certain degree. There is a software but it is in another language and is of no use to anyone who only speaks English. Do not game with the keyboard in Bluetooth mode because it will be very laggy and responsiveness is very poor.

Other then that the keyboard does fine connected via the cable.

A exceptional budget keyboard that gives you more bang for your buck! If you want to get into mechanical keyboards I definitely recommend this as your first buy. Switches are a tad shaky but I don’t notice it mostly when I’m using it normally.

Overall great quality for it’s price, I believe the switches and keycaps are hot swappable too.

Great product for the price, the clicks are not too loud. I like the option to be able to connect wirelessly. Also the option to swap out keycaps. Would recommend for anyone looking for a budget 60% keyboard.

I feel like I hit the Jackpot with this keyboard. Its so hard to find white components for PC’s that are high Quality. The Razer Huntsman Mini carries the brand’s standout optical mechanical switch keyboard.

With each key’s light feel accompanied by premium double shot PBT keycaps, it can be great for both gaming and typing. I will have to advise against installing the Razer software. You can simply activate gaming mode by pressing function key +U.

The Razer software has A few bugs that need to be straitened out before I will attempt to re-install. A lot of people compare this to the Ducky 2 MINI, Since I snagged this from Best Buy for half the price of the Ducky 2 mini and this being an all white keyboard vs the blue enter Key on the ducky II I figured this decision was A no-Brainer.

Even if the ducky II mini did not have the blue key I would of went with Razer regardless. Using Razer mechanical keyboards at work and at home with clicky optical keys keys is perfect with me. I feel that Razer keyboards have build quality that are built to last If you feel the need for that.

15 MS faster response time to compensate for your slow reaction time when playing Apex or War Zone then by all means get the linear switch version. I find this keyboard to be more then enough for my needs.

Even after 2 weeks I am able to navigate fine when writing code without having the standard arrow key’s.

Outstanding keyboard for the $85 sale price I purchased it at. I likely would have purchased a different board instead if this was full price ($130). I’m also really happy that I purchased this 60% board instead of Corsairs, mostly because the arrow keys on the Corsair board are too far from the function key, and the switches on this board feel better.

Pros: – The 60% form factor is great for both saving desk space and freeing up space for your mouse in shooters. – The PBT keycaps feel great. – The RGB is subtle and sufficient. – The Razer optical red switches are so far my favorite mechanical switches.

(I’ve previously tried Cherry reds, silent reds, silvers, browns, blues, and Corsair OPX). Additional pros: – The red switches have a bit of resistance before you press, so accidental presses are less common than on other linear switches.

– The keys are significantly quieter than all other mechanical switches I’ve used, including the silent reds. Additionally, there’s enough room in the keyboard that you can open it up and install a layer of foam to further dampen the sound of the keyboard.

– There’s no noticeable latency. (rtings claims that this keyboard has less than 4ms input latency) – The detachable USB-C cable is nice. – The placement of the secondary function keys is fairly good.

After a few weeks of practice and learning, there’s basically nothing that I’d need a bigger keyboard for. It’s now second nature for me to use the function key to access the arrow keys. Cons: – The “feet” to raise the keyboard are borderline useless because of how badly the keyboard slides around the desk when they’re down.

It would have been better to just not include incline options with this keyboard than to provide feet that are that bad. The keyboard is otherwise stable when flat. – No on-board memory for saving profiles for use between computers.

– The pre-programmed secondary functions cannot be reprogrammed, period. Not on the keyboard itself, and not in Razer’s software. – No included wrist rest. I recommend budgeting for one when buying this board.

– Razer Synapse software for the keyboard is not good. It chews through a good amount of CPU resources, and it updates sufficiently frequently to make using it truly obnoxious. I highly recommend never using the Synapse software to control fancy lighting effects.

Your CPU will heat up more when the machine should otherwise be mostly idle, and it can lead to frame drops in games. I only boot Synapse up to change the sensitivity on my Razer mouse, then promptly shut it down.

– And one really minor gripe. the keys *slightly* rattle a bit when pressed. Other than that they actually sound pretty good.

As a senior software developer, I spend nearly all my time using a keyboard – working, gaming, chatting, etc. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole and have dozens of keyboards – split, joined, ortholinear, chording.

You name it, I’ve tried it. I tried another brand’s “Red Linear” and it was awful for both the feel of the keys and the ringing noise after each press. If you’re serious about a soft touch and a good ‘warm’ keypress sound, The Huntsman Mini is in a whole new league and is highly recommended.

Perhaps it’s the optical switches, or just the build quality of the back board, but it feels fantastic. Of course, this is a 60%, so if arrow keys are important than avoid the mini, but if navigation shortcuts don’t phase you and you want a compact, full featured keyboard then look no further.

Typing speed out of the box was easily 70wpm for me with minimal errors and mis-strokes. The sensitivity seems to be dialed in perfectly. With a bit more practice on this board 100wpm+ feels easily attainable.

This is a worthy keyboard – especially for the price. Signing off, Keyboardiophile.

Keyboard in itself is very good (a little noisy, but it is the mechanical version, so. ),. if you don’t need the backlight. It has a stupid fix 5 seconds timeout (why no update to make it user adjustable ????, seems it is user requested from years on logitech forum).

That ‘s a killer in my case, used a lot for CAD application mainly with a mouse / 3D mouse and from time to time the keyboard in a dark environment. Workaround is to leave the keyboard always in charge, but even the timeout change to 1 minute.

It is a pity so good is the keyboard on its own.

Mit mechanischen Tastaturen habe ich mich auseinandergesetzt, wollte aber nicht zu tief in die Thematik eintauchen. Aus meiner Sicht die Ideale Tastatur. Leise ist die Tastatur nicht, jedoch sehr hochwertig und ich mag das Schreibgefühl.

Noch etwas ungewohnt, aber es gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich finde, dass die Mechanical deutlich hochwertiger als die MX Keys verarbeitet ist. Würde ich wieder kaufen!.
