Ive had a salon Brazilian blowout and an Aveda keratin treatment in the past. The Brazilian blowout was the best but the smell about killed me and made my eyes water. This product was similar to that.

It has a bubblegum smell but strong. It did make my eyes water a bit but my hair is so smooth and beautiful that it was well worth it. I tend to shampoo my hair to frequently since I exercise everyday and sweat, but if it lasts even 6-8 weeks its worth it.

It took me 3 hours to do my hair. I am now on my 6th hair wash since doing the treatment. I am happy to say that my hair is still straight! I also bought the shampoo and conditioner that went along with it.

I was eager to try this Keratin conditioner after using the Keratin shampoo. I purposely didn’t use any conditioning or styling products after washing and conditioning my hair. My hair dried feeling soft, shiny and I air-dried it into lovely natural curls.

They’re tailor-made to maintaining the integrity of the service as long as possible and are sulfate-free. They’re gentle on color-treated hair as well, so no need for the Color Care version, of which I am not nearly as big a fan.

If you’ve gotten a Keratin Treatment, these two are absolute necessities and I highly recommend picking them up at your salon or Ulta.

I used to just use the Suave Keratin and moroccan oil shampoo/ conditioner for color treated hair. They quit selling the color treated versions, which is lower in sulfate, so I started using the regular suave with high sulfates.

Sulfates are horrible for your hair, especially if it is color/ bleach treated and my hair ends had completely dried out. Most shampoos could not clean out my roots without drying my hair out. My hair is fine in texture, but thick in that there is a lot of hair, so it is very easily tangled.

I tried many different redken sets to no avail. I recently bought It’s a 10 shampoo and conditioner with Keratin. The conditioner didn’t really do anything for me, and at first I shampooed, conditioned, and though it was still better than my redken experience, it still left a few slightly greasy spots in the back of my head.

I started using Hask Keratin deep conditioning hair mask before shampooing, which has also really helped as far as my ends and detangling goes, but realized that I needed to shampoo a little after. Any shampoo that does not have sulfate is far better for your hair, but does not lather well.

This brand of shampoo actually lathers much better than redken, or my attempt to use formulate and other non-sulfate shampoos. This is pretty important for those of us with thick hair that is easily tangled.

One tip if helpful: instead of lathering starting from the top and running my fingers through the back of my head and the underneath layers, I had to add a seperate pump or two to the underneath of the back and scrub up.

For those that try this shampoo once and thought that it left some oil/ grease, try this and shampoo after conditioning. Once I changed this part of the routine, my hair finally felt clean AND hydrated!!!! I have hardly had to brush my hair after using this shampoo.

Another unexpected benefit is that I can now go up to three(!!!) days of not washing my hair and it still feels as clean as the first day.

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It’s a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn’t work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself.

However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it’ll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours.

So it’s really unfair to leave negative reviews on products that don’t match up with your unique chemistry.

This shampoo works really for my hair. The same formula in the conditioner doesn’t. I use their hair mask as a daily. The shampoo is thick almost like honey & has a light, fresh, perfume scent that actually smells really nice & dissipates slightly once my hair is dry.

The shampoo lathers up well but not crazy bubbles like those in sulfate shampoos. I use 2 1/2 pumps for my thigh length hair & I get a really good lather that rinses well. I’ve been buying this formula for a little over a year & for about 2 years I tried several other formulas from this brand.

I’ve tried the most expensive products on the market and non come close to this product for a hair mask! I alternate between this one and Advanced Clinical’s Biotin one. I started a hair restoration journey 1 year ago to restore my heat damaged/color processed hair.

What truely amazes me is that you only need a tiny amount. I have mid – long length hair and the bottle lasts me 9 months.

Didn t come in these bottles and the bottles were NOT sealed and they leaked all over the box. Also my conditioner had a huge crack on the bottle of the bottle and that leaks out too. I got an older set and the scent was awful and the shampoo burns my scalp.

I don t know what they gave me but this wasn t the keratin complex I ve used before. Awful. Just awful. Do not buy. They sell you old stuff.

Keratin treatments work extremely well with this shampoo and other brand related post smoothing treatment concepts. It is important to take care of your hair after a smoothing therapy because it can help lock in the shine and the silkiness for longer.

It also really helps with keeping your hair from losing its straight look. You don’t want to have hair that is frizzy within two months. Brazilian hair treatments that I get in the past don’t work as well as smoothing treatments with keratin protein in them.

That’s why I don’t suggest cross combining products and brands that are not designed for each other. Keratin Complex product last for longer, better, and are a little more pricier, but well worth it in the long run.

I’ve been using all L’ange products for about 3-3 1/2 years now. When I 1st started using these products my hair was horribly dried, over processed from dying and just using the wrong products. I have wavy, fine/medium hair.

In a month my hair was feeling and looking SO much healthier and shinier again. Only used L’ange’s products. Fast forward to last Thursday, went to this Salon and decided to get some unruly curlys revamped.

A little something different, time saving for me, nothing dramatic (wasn’t suppose to have been)! My hair was so healthy and the longest it’d been since I was a teenager. Showed the stylist several pictures of the style I was going for to keep it long with some a few revamped curls like my own natural more wavy curls that had just gotten more straightened I guess throughout the years.

Oh my goodness. I seriously can not say enough about each product, both essentials & hot tools, that I’ve gotten for myself or had the opportunity to try a specific products or hot tool that a friend has! As long as I can remember, I’ve always had a problem w my hair which is why I’ve ALWAYS worn it in a ponytail.

The best haircare I found and swear by!!! My hair have been through a lot of straightening and color. but one day I finally gave up on the trying to chemically straighten my hair thru rebonding but cant leave it from coloring it since I feel more confident and love experimenting with different highlights and lowlights which gives dimension and edge mainly to my look.

First of all I rarely write hair product reviews because I find them to be ok or good, but not exactly what I need. I am 50, have hair just past my shoulder blades that is wavy, dry, and not quite as thick and course as it used to be.

I took the hair quiz and this product and the Argan line were recommended. I decided to try the Macadamia & Argan shampoo, conditioner, and leave in spray. I had already used the biotin line and liked it, but felt I needed more moisture.

This product delivered! My hair is very manageable, feels great, not weighted down, I usually shampoo 2x a week, this has left my hair looking nice between washes. I am going to try the mask and oil in this line as well.

I feel like it has also helped keep my hair tame during hot and humid summer days. I do not need to use a ton of conditioner to get results and my hair actually feels very soft and conditioned with just the shampoo which is really impressive.

I originally bought this because my 8 year old was resisting bathing (lots of side drama) and he discovered he loved the smell of roses. I regularly use the keratin mist spray from Chi, but was looking for a little stronger treatment after dyeing my hair. This was on sale, so I decided to try this one. Overall, it’s ok. If I apply it then actually dry my hair, then it works wonders.

If I apply then let my hair air dry, it leaves this tacky film on my hair that feels unclean. I rarely dry my hair. I will use it as needed when I do plan on drying my hair, but I will stick with the original keratin must spray from Chi for my weekly use.

BTW, when I use it and dry my hair, my hair looks fantastic and is quite soft, so the product does work. The issue is that it only works well in that one situation.

I’ve been using the product for about a month now and I really love it. First, don’t use it on dry hair. It will leave it sticky and terribly greasy. Use it on wet hair only. Second, I have very fine thin hair.

Since my hair is fine and delicate, I was nervous that this treatment might be too intense, or might make me look greasy or damage my hair somehow. The warning not to over-saturate the hair concerned me, so I used a very light touch, only using enough just to barely coat the hair.

I was also pretty timid with the flat iron – I didn’t realize you’d actually be able to see big puffs of fumes coming off your hair, I thought my hair was burning!So after being so very cautious – big surprise – the treatment didn’t take.

I applied it quite liberally, from root to tip, but I made sure to comb very thoroughly to remove any excess product. I made sure to rest my flatiron frequently so it would stay hot enough (my iron only goes to 400 so that may not be necessary if you have a hotter iron) and ironed until I stopped seeing visible fumes from my hair.

Instead of washing in the morning, I waited a full extra day (so about 36 hours). This time the results were GREAT! It did not make my hair look limp or greasy like I feared, just super soft and shiny and manageable.

My hair is not pin straight, but a quick blow dry and flat iron pass makes my hair look perfect and shiny and gorgeous. It’s been about a month (washing with sulfate-free shampoo every other day, sometimes every day since I get greasy very easily) and my hair is still smooth and manageable, but I can tell it’s starting to wear off a bit.

I imagine I will have to do another treatment in a month or so (so about 6-8 weeks total) which I think is fine for the price. My hair is quite long and I think I have enough product left for one more treatment (so 3 total).

I love my hair!Edit: I realized I miscalculated when I did the treatment, so this really only lasted for about 5 weeks. A little bit disappointing, but I guess 4-6 weeks seems typical for an express keratin.

On the plus side, I did a third treatment and I think I still have enough left to do a 4th. Definitely still worth it for the price.

I have very naturally dry frizzy hair, not quite wavy & not quite straight, more so like a tumbleweed-ish afro. It was literally impossible for me to ever wear my hair in it’s natural texture, which meant constantly having to apply heat tools to it to make it look manageable.

With so much heat always being applied to it, it became even more dry & fried, as well as always breaking off, grew at the speed of a turtle, and my shower drain would be FILLED with hair. I’d been contemplating getting a keratin treatment for years but could never find myself to agree with the salon prices that came with them.

After reading reviews on this at home treatment I decided to try it out. the best decision I could have made!I followed directions to an exact, by washing 3 times with a clarifying shampoo and the proper way to apply the treatment.

From start to finish it only took me about 2 1/2 hours (I can’t see how it took other users up to 4 hours). I was never affected by any kind of smell from the formaldehyde, as I did everything out on my back porch.

If you have a mirror you can bring out back and an electrical cord, I HIGHLY suggest doing things outside, I never once smelled anything bad or had my eyes water. I waited 3 days before washing my hair, in that time I did wear it in a pony tail on the last day, as well as went over it quickly with the straightener every morning.

After finally washing my hair, I decided to test it first by letting it air dry, something I was never able to do without a guaranteed result of a wavy frizz ball. I was amazed! My hair dried almost entirely straight, frizz free, and super silky smooth and soft.

The next time I showered, I blow dried my hair afterwards, again it came out extremely manageable and nearly entirely straight. Also not to mention that both showers, I had almost no hair in the shower drain after.

It has been almost 2 weeks since I have done the treatment and my hair feels and looks healthier and I think it even looks like it’s starting to grow faster. Because I have a personal vendetta against unreasonable pricing, I refuse to pay for any type of beauty service that I can do myself. I live in New York City, and even with a deep discount I was paying $150+ for a single Keratin treatment.

So when I realized I could buy professional grade keratin treatment for $60 off gk I figured it would be a great thing to add to my at-home beauty arsenal. Even with the good reviews, I didn’t expect this treatment to work as well as the ones I’d gotten at the salon (I didn’t want to set myself up for failure by having unreasonable expectations).

In fact, this treatment worked BETTER than the salon treatments I’ve had. I have very curly hair, and so my stylist warned me several times that the salon treatment would only eliminate frizz, but not relax my curls very much.

Of course she was right; the first salon treatments I had made my hair slightly less curly (i. e. very wavy), but not straight by any means. So, assuming this stuff would be less potent than the salon treatment, I overcompensated by leaving it on for 48, rather than 24 hours (don’t worry, the directions specifically say people with very curly hair could should try this).

I rinsed and styled normally this morning and my hair is MUCH straighter than (a) it is naturally (b) it was after the salon treatment. Basically the treatment both eliminated my frizz AND relaxed my curls.

To be honest, they’re a little TOO relaxed for my liking, so I advise you not to underestimate the strength of the treatment! In conclusion. PROS- Better than salon quality (at least for me)- Easy to comb into hair- Pleasant smell (better than salon version)- Wasn’t messy- Leaves hair super smooth- Noticeably relaxes/straightens curly hair- One treatment uses about 1/6 of the bottle, so comes out to about $10 per treatment (I have thick, medium length hair)CONS- Doesn’t come with instructions (but you can find them online if you search the brand)- Must buy supplies separately (mask, gloves, clarifying shampoo etc.

)WARNINGS/RECOMMENDATIONS- Be extremely careful not to drip any solution onto bare skin; I got a few drops on my neck and the skin became red, dry and itchy even though I immediately wiped it off with a wet paper towel (resolved after 2-3 days)- Try to flatiron in a well-ventilated or outdoor area if possible (e.

g. porch, patio, balcony) because flat-ironing released copious fumes- Directions recommend a flatiron capable of reaching at least 410 degrees; mine only goes up to 400 and it worked just as well.

I had one treatment done right in the 3 years that I was getting the treatment done at Salons. That was the GK treatment and the girl did a fantastic job. After that I made the terrible mistake of going to another lady who did a Keratin treatment and over processed my hair.

I started to have hair loss and was devastated over how my long hair started falling out. What I did not realize is that she actually did a Brazilian Blowout, all while stating that it was a keratin treatment, which permanently straightens your hair and I will tell you its not good for your hair.

Each new girl I tried to have the treatment done did it completely different. It was so inconsistent and extremely expensive. I had prayed that one day the GK line would be available for consumer use and boy, dreams do come true.

Yes it takes me 3 hours total to do the hair. But something that cost me 350 dollars every few months even if it was just to touch up roots, just became not worth it. Now I can do it myself and know that its being done right.

When I want to touch up the roots a bit, I can do that without going to a salon and having the girl do a shotty job. I have already done one use and have plenty more product left over for another treatment.

The savings cant be beat and honestly this is the safest Keratin treatment out there. You can do the treatment a few times to get the hair smoother but I really wanted to have my curls just frizz free.

I never leave reviews, I know this sounds cliche but it’s true, I’ve done this probably 4 times in my life. I suffer from psoriatic arthritis since 2014 when I was diagnosed, however I have suffered from flaking on my scalp for longer than that but I thought it was dandruff (now I understand why dandruff products never worked).

So it’s been many years since I haven’t see my scalp clean, that I’m able to use dark clothes with no problem or even shake my hair, touch it in public without the fear of flakes falling of. During my pregnancy all this when on remission and it latest like that for about 2 year, until for the past year I’ve been having flare ups specially on my scalp and lately it’s been really bad, I’ve even when thru rounds of having injections on my scalp to control the symptoms and nothing.

My dermatologist suggested this but it was out of stock for a while and finally I bought it and last night I apply it, I wash my hair today with the Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo and OH MY GOD!!! I’ve always done my own hair due to the fact that salons just never get it right and I can never seem to walk out without paying less than $300. Once they see how curly my hair is it’s usually pretty uncomfortable and I’m charged more for having curls it seems.

Anyway, this is the perfect solution for managing curly, frizzy hair at home. It’s extremely simple and works wonders- plus it’s covid free As you can see in the before photo, my hair is super curly and frizzy.

Post-treatment, my hair is easy to manage, shiny, soft, and feels amazing. It’s so much easier and faster for me to straighten my hair now and I still have beautiful loose curls after washing. One bottle is half of what I’d usually pay in the salon, plus if I had to guess it’s probably got at least two more treatments in it.

Definitely 3 more if my hair was shorter. Don’t try googling how to apply it because there are so many different techniques. Follow the instructions on the bottle! Wow the difference is unreal. I’ve been growing out my hair for as long as I’ve been working from home (almost 2years). It’s so long that it almost reaches my buttocks but it’s also started splitting and breaking.

Tried this for the first time and I can’t stop playing with my hair. My hair stays nice longer, don’t have to wash and style it as often and even my bangs need less maintenance. Can’t remember the last time I woke up with my bangs looking good but now it happens all the time.

Getting lots of compliments especially from my man who is long distance and calls me in the mornings to wake me up. “Wow your hair looks beautiful. Did you change it?” Would highly recommended but would also advise that Keratin treatments are not for every hair type… mine is long and thick and it did wonders on it.

My sister picked this up for us both to try and we both LOVE it. We both have wavy/curly hair. Mine is very long and thick and hers is definitely more fine but not terribly thin. We both also use a lot of heat on our hair.

We have similar hair concerns of breakage among other concerns. This mask makes our hair feel so soft and nourished, we noticed a difference immediately. The scent is also amazing! We both have the small packet of it (not sure if it comes in a big bottle or tub).

I fell in love with this hair keratin intensive treatment. My hair gets really dry and damaged in the ends due to the intensive use of drier and flat iron, so once a week I use this to give my hair a more healthy look.

I enjoyed this product, it really helped my frizzy hair. It has a subtle scent, that didn’t last very long but was nice when it did. I would maybe make the scent stronger. I have black hair that’s been damaged pretty badly.
