Best Joke Books For Adults (2024 Updated)

I bought this jokebook for my 7 yr old nephew because he likes knock knock jokes. I thought this book was pretty nice when it arrived and I looked at it. There is a knock knock joke on nearly every page and a few riddle type jokes and tongue twisters on other pages as the cover states.

Takes awhile to go thru them. I’d say the jokes vary in age range, meaning that a 6 to 14 yr old would probably like all of the jokes, a 3 to 5 year old would get some of the jokes, and I (being 56 yrs old) got a kick out of some of the jokes.

(Sort of like Disney movies). Also the colorful pictures of various animals filled in the background of the pages.

Used with my 7 year old some of the jokes were hard for him to understand. Was a fun read but probably better to check out in the library rather then spend money and loose shelf space.

I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter and her 9 year old brother enjoyed it just as much as she did. It was so nice to hear them laughing together for days instead of arguing.

My Husband is going to love this book! He’s always coming up with Dad jokes! (Which are lame! haha) This book has actually funny jokes! (Lame but not as much haha) Dad jokes are always lame! lolol Love this book! If I tell a joke from this book.

It’s now a Mom joke. bahaha. (those are lame too) Totally a need to buy book if you’re a parent!.

I bought this book because my students “hated” my dad jokes, and when I saw it I just HAD to have it. Every day at the end of my homeroom I read a page of them. Really, it provides a good laugh for us to get our day started!.

These types of books are hilarious in my opinion. I got it as a gift for a guy who just became a new dad and it was great and funny. It is great to just look through the book and I guarantee there will be at least one joke that’ll make you laugh.

My 8 yr old daughter loves jokes, but when she told me the kung flu joke yesterday, in light of the anti- Asian hate crimes happening across America recently, it was really hurtful to see it in the joke book as a ‘joke’’.

We have been Highlight readers for years. Disappointed.

I picked this book up for my 5 year old grandson. He loves it. I asked him how he would rate it and so the five star is a mix of his and his parents response. My son says my grandson will be reading it and telling jokes and laughing.

My son does say that there are some of the jokes my grandson reads and starts to wonder what the jokes mean; but, he’s six and learning and having fun in the process.

I sent this to my 7 yr. old grandson. He said it’d Hilarious! My daughter, his mom, uses it every morning to open her conference calls at work! She loves it, too!

I needed my hands on another copy of this comic, and im not even a huge comic guy or batman origins in general. But for this one, i definitely needed another copy. strongly recommend for any comic reader or collector.

Really? This is famous? Takes 15 minutes tops to read, isn’t particularly compelling apart from Bolland’s art, nothing here that gave me the slightest sense “I’ll read this again some day. ” Glad I didn’t spend much money on it.

I purchased Batman: The Killing Joke and unfortunately it took 2 weeks to arrive when it first said it would be here in 4 days. FORTUNATELY once it arrived it was WORTH the wait! This was the best portrayal of the brutality of the Joker I have ever read or seen! and also the best depiction of the complicated (and you could say twisted) relationship between Batman and the Joker.

Truly an epic piece of fiction. Highest Possible Recommendation!.

The book is great. The reason why I gave it only two stars is because whomever delivered this, left it on my front porch in the rain. My front porch is not covered. The book was just laying in the cardboard box without any plastic covering around the book, and whoever delivered the package sure didn’t take the time to put the box in a bag, or maybe leave it on the covered porch, clearly visible from the road.

The book was soaked, and although it has dried out, it looks horrible. Maybe use a different carrier.

Hilarious! There are lots of new groaners at the dinner table each night.

My boys (14 and 15) and my dad have had endless hours of fun with this book. I have heard more dad jokes than I knew existed!

I ordered on Dec. 5 shipped on Dec. 7 from WI. to ILL. Cincinnati, Knoxville, Nashville, stayed in Nashville for 7 days then to Memphis then back to Nashville on Dec. 20. We left for Ms early a. m. on Dec.

20 for 2 weeks. The book was for my great grandson who is 8 yrs. old who likes knock knock jokes. We came back after new years and still no book!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Sheila Hollenbeck.

This was a really fun “last day of s chool” gift for my 7 year old granddaughter. She loves jokes andis a good reader. She got a big kick out of this and “knock knocking” the whole family! And now her toddler brother has learned to say “knock knock” as a fringe benefit!.

Both books arrived damaged. There was torn covers and a broken back on one. This was done in shipping I’m sure, but recommend you ship in something more substantial than a plastic bag.

My six year old granddaughter LOVES jokes and to tell them. She read really well, it will be perfect. Great Easter gift . More books less candy.

My grandsons love joke books. This one has been rated G so far unlike others I bought for them. Very appropriate for 1st and 2nd graders. Love that it is divided into topics as well.

I first fell in love with Tim Vine’s great one-liners when he did two guest spots on John Bishop’s Christmas Show. After reading many more of them online, I bought this joke book second hand on eBay.

Absolutely brilliant fun; I’ve whizzed right through it about four times, and even highlighted all my favourites for next time! There are some absolute crackers (and some pretty chronic ones too!) All in all, a great laugh.

Bought this for my dad who loves “dad jokes”. I thought there were some good ones in there. He likes it, but said there are like 3-4 that don’t make sense or are far reaching. Overall pretty good. Looks exactly like photo.

It is divided into 3 sections or parts for the type of joke. Each page has 2 jokes (4 total if you do front & back.

My daughter and I stopped by our Hallmark store to look around when she came across the dad jokes book. I looked at her funny and thought why she was looking at that for her dad. I browsed a little more and came back around and she was still looking through it.

I had to ask why she was looking at it and her response was that her son who is 14 is always getting on the internet and looking up jokes and coming out to irritate his dad with them and she thought it would be something he would read.

That night I get a call from him and he was already looking for a joke so when his dad gets home he could spring one on him. He said the book was fantastic. Money well spent to give him a little pleasure.

My son in law not so much. But you can’t make everyone happy.
