20 Best Joint Supplements For Labradors (2023 Updated)

These joint supplements really exceeded my expectations. My 10 yr old Border collie started to do things he hasn’t done in the past 3 years. He has mild-moderate hip dysplasia. These things include jumping onto the bed and asking to play 3x as much, without prompting whatsoever.

I notice he isn’t babying his back legs as much and putting more weight on them. He has his spark back and back to his energetic self. I have tried supplements in the past which always seemed to make the problem worse (limping.

I have two dogs and one of them is getting up there in age. He moves slowly especially in the morning until he his joints loosen up with activity. So I was excited to see if he could benefit from these hip and joint supplements.

He likes the taste and gobbles them up quickly. I have a second, younger dog and he spent a lot of time rolling the supplements around before finally eating it. There was something about the taste or smell he didn’t care for but he is not the dog who needs this supplement so no big deal.

The supplements have a good dose of glucosamine and krill in them. Both of which I think are beneficial to an older dog’s mobility.

I have two dogs that have just entered their “senior” age (9 and 10 years old). It’s been a little under a month since I bought this, and I think it’s still too early to tell if the chews are “working” just yet, however, I like to think that they are since my female dog no longer seems to hesitate going up and down the stairs now!.

I decided to go the Dasuquin soft chews first. I bought them online from Chewy. I starting giving 1st thing in the morning each day. After a month I noticed she was moving better, after about 6 weeks she showed marked improvement and had no problems going up the stairs.

I now have her on a maintenance dose of 1 every other day and she is doing exceptionally well!.

Im always skeptical of claims when it comes to pet supplements especially since the consumer can’t speak for themselves. At least mine can’t! But the proof is in the results. These are literally the most effective joint supplement I have ever given to my 14 year old pointer.

Years ago I started her on cosequin but they seemed to loose their initial effectiveness quickly. These things last! They are really easy to give as they must be tasty. Other supplements come in pill form and my dog knows it! But these are super easy to give since she thinks they are treats.

Do your research and look into the ingredients; this company does a really great job with making that transparent. Everything they include in the formulation seems to attack the problem from all angles.

I really trust in the product and will be purchasing more.

I just started this supplement for my arthritic cat. I’ve read reviews on it and decided to give it a try before going with the option on Adequan injections with his vet. It’s too soon to give a fair review on this product yet, but I would like to say that Nutramax, the company that manufactures this supplement and others that Chewy’s sells, is a wonderful company with wonderful customer service and on site veterinarian backed support.

If you have questions about Dasuquin or any other supplements made by Nutramax, you should not hesitate to call them directly. They are a most pleasant company, knowledgeable of their products and have the added bonus of a veterinarian on site to further help with any questions that the person taking your call cannot fully help you with.

I’ve called them on several occasions and get the same courteous service every time and always end my call with my questions fully addressed and answered to my satisfaction. It’s an excellent company.

My kitty has only been on the Dasuquin for about two weeks, so I couldn’t give a fair testimonial at this point. It’s recommended to give at least 4 weeks at two capsules per day according to his weight, which is 11 pounds, before beginning to see results.

His weight is normal for size. We did try Cosequin, but that was actually when he had his urinary blockage surgery and was recommended for that. I continued the Cosequin for quite awhile afterwards just because of his arthritis, but didn’t see any noticeable improvement, so I stopped giving it to him.

My 10 year old cat named Gigi started slowing down gradually which is expected. I started noticing she wasn’t doing laps around the house after going #2 in cat box, like she’s 5 lbs lighter, anymore.

Then other things but when she started sleeping on floor in her bed at night instead of with me I started paying close attention to her, made sure nails were clipped, no lumps, bumps,or sores. Then she started limping and I took her right to the vet.

Arthritis in knees and hips. Poor girl. I have it too lol. She was so painful they gave her a long acting steroid shot and talked to me about Dasuquin. I started them that day! Of course I’ll do anything for her to keep her with me, feeling good and pain free.

The steroid had her feeling great and she was so happy to feel better. So was I. Weeks later, my Gigi is like a kitten playing with all her toys, getting up on couch and my bed, she’s brighter , and even though I feed her real salmon and white fish, her coat is even more beautiful! The steroid did it’s job and gave the Dasuquin a chance to start working but seeing the continued progress is really amazing! Even better is the fact she gobbles them up and begs for more so no struggle getting her to take them! I use soft chews and rip in half cause they are a little big.

We have been trying this product for 3 mo. now, so I feel like I can give an honest review. I have a 14 yr German Shorthair Pointer. He is healthy and ideal weight, so there are no underlying illnesses.

Just aging. For the last year he has been struggling standing up from his bed and his walks were getting shorter. I decided to give this product a try and after about a month and half I noticed one day that he was just popping up out of his bed again.

And he walks the entire block(about a mile) without skipping a beat, plus energy to spare. He has started his zoomies again, although they don’t last as long, but I’ll take it. I feel like years have been added back to his life, so I can’t recommend this product enough.

I followed the dosage as described on the bottle and he is now on one pill a day. He is a picky eater, but he will eat these with no problem, if I break them in half.

We used the Glycoflex Plus for several years for our English bulldog. It helped him tremendously and added years of quality life. he had early hip and back issues. After trying several products, this is the only one that gave him his life back.

We now have a 3-year-old Boston Terrier and a 2-year-old French bulldog. We had such good luck with the Glycoflex Plus helping our bulldog that we decided to try this less advanced formula as a preventative type for the younger ones.

I have been getting this product for my Pomchi for quite some time and am amazed at how it has helped her to remain mobile. However for the last three or so orders, the container changed in appearance and the product changed also, and not for the better.

Instead of easy to pick up bone shaped pills, they are now soft and clump, making it impossible to pick up just one out of the jar. This makes it difficult to feed and administer the proper amount for one unit.

If I could find a different product to give to my puppy, I would, but so far I have not been able to do so. Just wish you would go back to your quality that you had when I started using the product.

I am extremely cautious & fussy with what I give my fur babies- especially my senior boy Bobby. Bobby started having trouble getting up , walking etc. I tried so many different supplements (only if approved by my vet) but nothing was really helping him.

She is now running after the ball and some Zoomie moments. She will likely have a future repair to her patella. But she is more her playful self now than the past year. I really appreciate Movoflex.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe adopted an abused Chihuahua a year ago. Named him Choco, started working with his fear issues, and health concerns immediately. Ordered Movoflex to help with joint pain concerns caused by a rear knee popping out that our vet addressed.

After two weeks we noticed a huge difference in his wanting to take longer walks. His posture also looked more comfortable while walking. We will continue his recovery by keeping Movoflex part of his daily routine along with diet that leads to more comfortable exercise.

It’s been borderline miraculous for my middle-aged GSD. He’s a big shepherd at 95 lbs, is eight and half years old. I had noticed he was slowing down some in the last 6-9 months so changed from another Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplement.

After giving this to him for about four weeks I noticed he is less stiff when getting up after a nap. Of course he has a very sensitive stomach and can be pretty selective when I try to slip meds into his food.

She loved the flavor and we were able to continue our usual longish daily walks for another couple of years. At 13 she was diagnosed with arthritis in her spine, hips and legs. But she was able to walk around some on her own (minus the stairs) right up to the end.

You may want to take note that the turmeric will stain things yellow so probably keep something under the bowl to protect flooring/carpet/etc. I will definitely recommend it to anyone with a senior dog/mobility issues and will use it with my next pup when the time comes.

This product works. I have been giving it to my 7 year old Pit for 2 years. She has cruciate ligament damage in both knees and had TPLO on one. On 2 occasions I have run out of the product and taken a while to get more.

Within 1 week of not having her daily dose she starts limping. Within 1 week of resuming it she stops limping. So Grizzly hip and joint supplement makes a big difference in my dogs life. I hope they never stop making it!.

I bought this for my 10 year old lab. She has some arthritis and I was looking to help her. I should have been skeptical of no reviews because I usually am a big review reader. I didn’t really like the smell or feel.

The treats didn’t seem to help my boxer’s hip issues any at all. She also didn’t seem to like the taste of them very much as I would have to coax her to eat them many times. Occassionally she just wouldnt eat the treat.

With other treats she eats them without hardly even tasting them.
