This is the best equine product that I have ever bought! I have a 25 year old TB mare who has always been on the thinner side. She was diagnosed with PPID a year ago and has been a VERY picky eater since then because of the medication she is on for it.

I tried everything for her – all different kinds of feed, alfalfa, beet pulp, oil, shredded carrots in her feed, holding her feed pan up to her nose so she would keep eating, etc, etc. Some days she would eat well, and other days she wouldn’t even finish her grain despite being left in her stall with it all day.

I thought I had ordered the pellets like I normally do, but when my order arrived it was the powder. I thought I would give it a try. HUGE waste of money, esp. since I bought the 10 lb bag. I added this to my horses grain and supplements (which I make up in baggies one week at a time) and tried to feed it tonight.

He attempted to eat it at first, but it turned into a glue like substance in his mouth and he refused to eat the rest of it and turned his nose up at the rest of the grain. He was trying to get the stuff which was stuck to his muzzle and roof of his mouth off for over an hour.

Now I’ve not only wasted money on this 10lb bag, but also a weeks worth of supplements and grain since this powder is now mixed in with those baggies. I wish the product name stated this was a powder, and that the pelleted form product name stated it was the pellets.

It would have prevented me from wasting money and getting this totally unedible powder. I can’t even give away the rest of the bag to others at the barn, because no one likes the powdered form.

Bought this for our 32 year old 1/2 Arab gelding. At the start of winter he was a bit stiff in his back end and was keeping himself separate from the other horses. After just a week or two on this supplement I saw him playing with my other gelding, trotting circles around him, play biting and rearing up.

He is the one initiating play on a regular basis now! I highly recommend this product!.

I never give bad reviews, but this time I feel that I should warn others. I received a product that was completely open and the seal was broken. It was not due to shipping. Clearly the employee who placed this product in the box would have seen this.

I was told by PBS that this was not their fault. That they purchase their product directly from the manufacturer. Yet when I asked who is responsible for shipping the product, they are. I am not a fan of the blame game.

I will never order any supplements from here again. They do not take responsibility.

This has worked well for our horse. I have seen improvements and would definitely recommend. I just wish the price wouldn’t fluctuate so badly. It was just priced at $13 and now it’s back up at $22. That’s a huge difference.

It would be nice if Chewy would stick with their low prices, it would definitely keep customers coming back instead of buying it somewhere else. Other than that, I love the Animed joint supplement.

My 24 year old Arabian horse was starting to move a little slower, drag his hind feet, and start out stiff when we’d work together so I started him on Flex-Max to see if it would help him. Now I view joint supplements with a bit of suspicion as I haven’t found a lot of research to support their efficacy so I didn’t tell anyone about starting him on this so as to not inform their responses if there were any changes.

At his next farrier appointment his farrier commented on the significant decrease in toe dragging and remarked that he did not lean on her near as much as he had the last few years, asking if I changed anything.

When I told her that I started using this supplement she said to keep using it as she definitely noticed a difference. Same with a student that would exercise ride him, quicker to warm up, less creaky joints, and more comfortable overall – again only after she said anything to me did I tell her he started a joint supplement.

In the field he’s been trotting and running around, excited to come in in the morning and run with his herd from time to time. For him it’s definitely been worth the investment. He used to be on daily Equioxx, but during the three years he was on it we saw very little in the way of change for him.

I stopped the Equioxx three months before starting him on this supplement and only wish I had started him on this sooner.

Feeding this to an 18 year old green broke horse who had a major tripping problem when he came to our barn. Even with consistent work he was heavy in the forehand, but since starting this the tripping is virtually eliminated.

He seems very comfortable and is enjoying learning how to jump. His mane and tail are starting to grow out as well, and his coat really shines. Definitely recommend.

I’m pleased with the normal size of these pellets. I had previously tried another brand whose pellets were small and easily turned to powder.

I started my 1300+# Warmblood Belgian on this hoof supplement just a few weeks ago. He has a tendency to pancake out and gets a lot of stress cracks and breaking in his hooves. During his last trim, my farrier told me to get some biotin in him to see if that would help.

I got on the web and started researching products, and ended up choosing this one. I waited to do this review on purpose, because I wanted my farrier to notice a difference during his next trim, which was today.

For the first time in YEARS, Tucker had no cracks and no big chunks missing from his hooves. My farrier noticed and asked what I put him on. I ordered the 60 individual packs, so I gave my farrier one and asked him to show and recommend it to other clients.

We will see in 6 more weeks what Tucker’s hooves look like, but having only been on this supplement for a few weeks now, I am confident this one is going to be a part of his daily diet for the duration.

I have two horses, a boy and a girl. The girl has navicular and was having chronic lameness issues at around 13 years old. I put her on this, and wow did it make a difference in her! All the soundness/stiffness issues went away (it wasn’t just my imagination, the trainer noticed it as well without prompting).

At around 15 years old, the girl had what turned out to be a hormonal meltdown, but as part of trying to figure out what was going on with her, I pulled her off it. Wow, did I notice a difference in her soundness and stiffness when she wasn’t on it (not in a good way).

She’s back on it (along with Regumate to deal with the hormones lol). The boy horse (technically a large pony, but he has ‘horse’ status for his efforts) is 23-ish and he went on it about a year ago.

I didn’t/don’t notice the difference with him like I did with the girl, but I keep him on it. I suspect if I took him off it, Then I would notice the difference. They both eat it, including the picky eater girl.

Another trainer from the first one (who noticed the difference unprompted) recommended the product, and when I asked the vet about it, she recommended it as well. My dog is on a dog version of it as well now.

It is doing wonders for my mare! My 10 year old OTTB has arthritis in her fetlock and had progressed to being chronically lame 24/7 and euthanasia was unfortunately being considered. Her vet suggested starting this and Equioxx and now she is a completely different horse! She’s so happy now! She’s been on it for a little over a month and I’ve only seen her stiff once! She is so much more active now! I can’t be sure if it’s this supplement or the combination that she is taking, but I’m still giving it 5 stars and throwing it all of my support! Also, she is a very picky eater and I did have a little bit of trouble getting her to eat her grain with her new supplements.

The Cosequin ASU doesn’t have a strong smell, but it does have a little bit and does tend to settle to the bottom of the grain. I ended up adding just a little bit of brown sugar to her mixture and spritzing it with water and now she loves it!.

Bugsy, my 19-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse, has been on Cosequin products for many years now. I started him on regular Cosequin when he was about five or six years old for maintenance to keep his joints healthy – especially since he is such an active guy! Then I switched him to Cosequin ASU when I heard about the added benefits.

I purchased Sho Flex for my 23-year-old Saddlebred after I learned she had some arthritis settling in her joints. After being on the supplement for a week, I could feel a difference in her. She move more conformable and doesn’t feel so stiff during warm-ups.

Seems to help my older Draft mix that is stiff in the Morning and smells great; like delicious cookies Only draw back is it is powder so will blow away in the wind but mixes well with feed.

I have a mare and two miniatures who don’t get full rations because they’re such easy keepers. I’ve tried ration balancers with mediocre results that generally led to more excessive weight gain for them.

After testing for metabolic issues for one of the miniatures my vet recommended a forage option and advised to top dress a vitamin/mineral supplement. I’ve always been thrilled with the price and quality of Santa Cruz so I immediately ordered this supplement.

I did not expect the results I got. I put the (now pregnant) mare and both miniatures on it. The mare gets a light feed (about 1lb per day) and the minatures a handful of hay pellets with it. Nothing else changed around their diet.

Not only do they look great and feel great but they all turned 2 shades darker in the height of summer on full day turnout. These horses have been supplemented with copper/zinc for a year and there’s something in here above and beyond.

I’m putting all my horses on it, the cost doesn’t even matter at this point. I’ve rarely run across a feed or supplement that is “just the right thing to do”.

I have tried literally every product on the market to keep one of my geldings from gettting white line disease and abscesses. I put him on Cosequin ASU Joint and Hoof about in December and his farrier appoint on April 1st the farrier couldn’t believe how much better his hooves looked.

I live in Minnesota and it’s been nothing but mud, wet paddocks here for the past 6 weeks – 100% recommend! **My horses don’t have a problem with the taste – I mix it with their other grain and they don’t even notice it’s there.

This is the only supplement I feed because it does work. I have a horse with high ringbone who has been lame for extended periods of time so I started and maintain him on Cosequin and the lameness resolved.

If you have horse with arthritic tendencies this should be the first line of defense. I also use it in my dogs, including a tripod. As soon as she lost her leg, I started her on Cosequin for dogs to protect her remaining legs.

I have been using this for our draft horses. I have seen a huge difference already in about two weeks now. All of our drafts are rescues and range from 16 hands to out big 20 hand Belgian. We just feed one scoop a day with 2 pounds of senior.

All of them are moving alot better and even made a limp go away on our 20+ year old Belgian mare. This is worth the price and I am going to make sure this is on auto ship. Thank you Chewy.

Our 32 yr. old Arab Stallion had a cracking popping sound in his front R. foot. He was also lame in the same foot, and not putting any weight on it. Prince actually kept the foot up, and did not walk on it.

On advice of our Lg. Animal Vet. we started giving a bolus dose of Flex-Force for 2 weeks, then a maintenance dose after that. He ate it with no issues when dressed on his Senior Feed. Within 2 weeks, the crack pop sound disappeared, and he gradually started putting weight on the foot and then he began running using the foot as if it had never hurt him.

This took about 3 weeks total after starting the Flex-Force. He walks fine now, perfect actually. We stopped using the product when the Gal. was finished, but Prince Rimadi began to act depressed and exhibited some digestive problems including a bout of Choke.

We ordered the 2nd Gal. today. I feel this supplement improved Prince Rimadi’s health overall, and we will continue to use it. We are so pleased with the final results. Thank You Flex-Force.

I’m a huge fan of Fluid Flex! I typically don’t write reviews, but I had to for this awesome product. I’ve tried several top brand joint supplements for my horses, none of which held a candle to Fluid Flex.

Thanks to Horse. com I can buy it for much less than I can at the local feed stores. I have a breeding Friesian stallion that does amazing on Fluid Flex. I took him off of it for a couple of months to see if I could tell a difference, and sure enough, he got stiff in his stifles.

Within a couple of days of being on Fluid Flex he was back to normal moving agile and being extra happy!I also feed it to my daughter’s senior mare that she jumps with. Our mare is a 21-year-old QH, but she acts like she’s 10-years-old with tons of energy–she moves and jumps flawlessly.

Both of my horses eat it right up; I pour an ounce over their other supplements each morning. I highly recommend Fluid Flex! :).

I am usually not a fan of supplements and their claims, but I have had good success with FluidFlex in three different old horses (mid 30s, and mid 20s). The horses were generally healthy, but their joints were no longer as flexible and moving could be painful for them, especially in winter, cold mornings, etc.

I put them on FluidFlex and gave them just the maintenance dose from the start. By the time I had used half the bottle, I could tell that it was working. By the end of the month (and the bottle) I bought the gallon size; it would have been cruel to withhold the supplement.

In each of the three cases the horses acted younger and happier, were more likely to trot to/from pasture (voluntarily), and often their light riding years were extended. All three horses liked the taste.

The horse I use this product on has issues on his fronts, he has a broken back pastern axis which is controlled by a good trim taking the toe back, he also knuckles forward if he’s set up too high, so his trim has to be just right for him to stay balanced.

Even with a balanced trim he would very often trip every 10-15mins. I had him on hyalone hyaluronic acid for 2yrs Dr De Paolo’s product, I just never really new if that product was doing much, his hocks would click sometimes and he would resist letting me pick up his hind feet.

But never any lameness or soreness. I started him on HA Grand first and he didn’t like the taste much, but the ingredients in this product are awesome, I instantly seen great results with the HA Grand, this product is for joints but also geared towards soft tissue, tendons, ligaments, cartilage.

In spite of him not gulping it down in a flash I kept him on it because in 1hr instead of tripping 4+ times it was down to 1-2 trips which was significant improvement. I literally saw results within a few days of using it, which blew my mind because I always thought it took 6wks to get into their system.

With a little more research I found Total joint care, wow, this horse went from 1-2 trips per hour to no tripping at all on most days, now maybe once a wk he will trip 1 time. Before we figured out this horses trim cycle he literally would fall down.

I loved the results of the HA Grand so I alternate between the Total Joint Care & The HA Grand daily, this horse now falls into the category of every other horse, he trips here and there. It’s been a process trying to figure out the best supplements for him, but hands down I recommend these 2 products.

Also no more resisting on his hind legs when picking his feet & the clicking has gone. I always thought a liquid HA was better than a powder but I don’t believe that is true anymore, not with this horse in any case.

The Total Joint Care is geared towards joints more than the HA Grand. It contains all the joint care ingredients in high doses, it has everything you need. It does contain MSM which makes some horses crazy, but fortunately that hasn’t been the case with this guy.

I believe this horse also had a lack of synovial fluid around his joints and these products rectified the problem. Definitely give these 2 product s a try if you’re looking for an all round joint supplement combined with soft tissue supplement.

If your horse is prone to tendon or ligament issues this product contain collagen tho help strengthen the fibers. The Total Joint Care is a little pricey, but I’ve paid a little less for a product that didn’t have any benefits after 2yrs so.

I wanted to love this product but. sadly I couldn’t get my mare to eat it , do to it being a powder. It just fell to the bottom of her feeding pan or she would just eat the grain off of the top and ignore it.

Even when I mixed it with a small amount of Omega oils , she just wouldn’t touch it. This is very sad because I truly think this product would have helped her. I am hoping Ramard will make this a pellet someday.

I do think this product is of a higher quality and is a excellent choice if your horse will eat a powder supplement.

whenever I look to add anything to my horses diet I really do search for the best product for the particular need. Sometimes this takes days of searching and even phone calls to product companies and even vets.

That being said, my 5yr old paint mare was recently diagnosed with high ringbone and so began my search! When I found Ramard Total Joint Care I felt like I found the right product. It is one of the highest combo joint care I could find.

Very high in HA, Glucosomine, Chondroiten, MSM, Vit C ,a little zinc etc. I also bought Iconoclast support boots, the shoer is rolling her toe, and so far so good. the trainer rode her gathering cattle for 8 hours, without boots and not a lame step! Not sore the next day either.

Just re ordered the product but it is on back order, so patiently waiting. I am convinced this is a great product. Also no problem getting her to eat it! Palatability: 5.

My 26 year old TB mare was getting a clicking sound in her ankles when she walked. Buying a joint supplement was stressful, because she is PICKY! She has turned her nose up at a lot of supplements in the past.

Anyway, she loves this! I hand feed it every day, because it’s like a treat. In about two days, I noticed her energy level increase, but wasn’t sure if it was a coincidence. It’s been a couple weeks now, and her energy has been up and no ankle clicking.

Purchased this to help with feet after realizing a new zip code wasn’t doing my guy any favors. He was on Cosequin ASU and seems to have maintained soundness. Too soon to tell from coat/ hoof condition, but I expect good things.

Started feeding this supplement 3 weeks ago and have seen drastic improvement in my 22 year old Arab mare. She is running and bucking and enjoying life again. Didn’t think it would help her, I was wrong.

She eats it with no issue and is like a youngster again. 3 weeks ago I thought I would have to put her down, now she is back to her old self. My only regret is I took to long to try it!.

I use this for my old horse and young horse both have leg joint problems. Both have short tails due to dog pulling them therefore I work at keeping them growing. I use this for the gut because I show and it is stressful.

Easy to use won’t mold premixed feed when carrying to show because pellets – little to no moisture. Bit pricey but worth it.

Started Horse Guard 4 in 1 Trifecta, recommended by a friend who has seen amazing results, especially in hoofs. Too soon to see results but I’m happy the finicky horses are eating it so just ordered more.

We had a very stiff horse that nothing else seemed to work for. Hock injections did absolutely nothing. We started him on this and the change is dramatic! He went from looking short and sore to jumping courses with ease! So much so, we now have all our old school horses on it and it’s been a dramatic change for our entire program.

More success with this than even cosequin. Haven’t had any issues with palatability or it sticking to the bucket the way that cosequin does. Definitely A LOT of bang for your buck. One or two of our REALLY stiff horses are on the loading dose (approved by vet), but adding that extra scoop has made them happy and comfortable when bute didn’t seem to help at all.

My vet recommended that I give MSM to my horse who has a new heaves diagnosis. she’s an aging mare, and I knew it couldn’t hurt. She’s doing well, and didn’t have any episodes this year. Will keep going on this supplement for her, and my other horses.

She is now 17 and in the best health she has ever been in. Got rid of the fancy stuff and started giving her this with a simple basic supplement. Add in some Omega Shine, and She Looks Amazing. She really is the healthiest, strongest, shines like a black diamond (and she is out in the hot sun by choice).

She is happy and healthy. I will never be without this product, and she loves it. Now the whole family is using MSM now. My German Shepherd no longer has hip problems, yes, this supplement is that important.

Before being on Horse Health Joint Combo Classic Pellets my mare would be a little off after a long show, but now she stays sound and moves freely. I would recommend this for any hard working and/or older horse.

I have been feeding this supplement for about a month to my 22 year old QH mare with poor knees, and my 11 year old mare who survived two bouts of Lymes Disease, but now has calcification and some stiffness in her pastern joints as a long term result of the LD.

The palatability of this product has been reassuring to me; they eat it first in their grain feedings. Other products may be more inexpensive for the results, but if the horse needing the glucosamine and chondroitin won’t eat it; there is no economy factor.

This seems to be doing the job; will be looking for long term results over the next few months. Shipping is so reasonable, and being able to purchase the large 8# tubs is another plus!! Thank youi!.

My mare who is 26 roughly has a heart of gold and a love of running. She started getting stiff to the point of not being able to let me pull her back leg backwards for me to pick it!I knew it was time to get a supplement and I am so glad that on the first try I pick one that was golden! The loading dose is three to four weeks 3 scoops twice a day and the bucket will last you about two weeks.

It’s been years since I even bothered to try comparable products, they never yielded the results that I get from Legacy. The ingredients are a good blend that work synergistically to bring joint relief.

Our horse has been showing discomfort by laying down more (she has laid down when tired since she was a baby) 25 years old now. She didn’t want to get up in the mornings. This was not colic since she was eating & pooping.

Whilst I am generally sceptical about supplements in general as I think we over supplement our horses, I decided to try this when I was eight months pregnant and doing the one millionth poultice on my horse which has gotten abscesses twice a year at least for the past four years,some lasting 8weeks.

It was the last dangerous straw so decided to try a supplement. I looked online and this came up as having good reviews and available in this country. Since I started using this in October 2015 his feet are harder and we haven’t had an abcess despite very very wet ground.

I’m very pleased so far. I have noticed his feet are much more hardy, not rock crunching yet but much better. He is still barefoot.

This is amazing stuff, the double dose biotin is such a good idea as I know my horse is getting enough to improve his feet. Within two months my TB’s feet have massively changed for the better. He has now held shoes for more than 4 weeks which was impossible before! he has typical TB feet that crack and chip all the time but even in this really dry hot weather we are having his shoes have not come loose and his feet are looking the best they ever have in the summer.

Was very sceptical that any calmer would work on our very stressy mare. She was a nightmare on the ground. would pace the field when just 1 field mate would leave. Box walked and generally stressed and crabby.

We’re now a week in on relax me and she’s so much calmer. she’s happy, not spooking half as much and just generally more relaxed but hasn’t taken all of the fun edge and challenge away from her personality.

This stuff is great. My horse has had a very hard life; he used to be a high-level reining horse and then was a used & abused lesson horse before I got him. He has extremely stiff, ouchy movement unless I provide him with supplements.

First, off SCAhealth is the best place to buy REACH. Great price and excellent delivery! Purchased my daughter’s horse at age 15. We immediately put him on REACH as a proactive measure for his joints.

He is a pleasure horse but works 2-3 class A shows a year. This has increased his athleticism and at age, 17, he doesn’t show any signs of aging, creaking or stiffness. We will be putting our 10 year old on this year for proactive reasons too.

We really like the ingredient list and the amount of glucosamine is second to none. Just wish it came in larger option.

I have a 22 year old, severely arthritic gelding who I thought I would have to put down because of his arthritis, by mid summer. I saw him try to cross a small creek and fall flat on his face when he landed on the other side.

A friend of mine recommended this joint supplement to me. I bought it here on horse. com and tried it. I gave it a month. My old gelding who wasn’t able to trot, and was miserable, has begun play fighting with my barrel horse.

He’s since jumped that creek and he’s been running around like a colt. All of my barrel horses are going on this supplement for life!.

Ever since we picked up our now 16-year-old Morgan mare lesson horse four years ago, she always had some sort of immune-related issue whether it was a hypersensitivity to bugs resulting in hives, “goopy” eyes from allergies, fungal infections, you name it, she has had them.

After working with the vet and quite a bit of trial and error of different medications, we found a remedy that worked for her overall and could keep her comfortable but I was hoping for something a little bit more to support her, especially because she has a heavy lesson workload and also is our reliable beginner show horse, so she is working hard and traveling quite a bit which can be taxing on their immune system.

My vet suggested an immune supplement for her year-round. After reviewing a few options, we decided on SmartImmune as my vet really liked the idea of the additional digestive support this supplement offers for this particular mare in addition to the other comprehensive immune-supporting ingredients.

We started this supplement for her in April after she had a bad case of hives like she normally does at the beginning of and throughout summer. After we started giving her SmartImmune she did not have another flare-up with her hives all summer.

She also traveled extremely well to all the horse shows that we brought her too this summer (she normally gets loose stool when traveling). We also noticed an overall change in her demeanor that became more pleasant, which we can only assume is due to the fact that she was feeling much better.

We will continue to keep her on this supplement throughout the winter into next summer. I will also mention that this mare is usually a very picky eater and she eats this on it’s own or mixed in with her ration balancer.

My 13yo OTTB gelding has been on this for about a month. He’s arthritic (average what you’d expect for a teenage OTTB in full work), and he has mild KS. I had read elsewhere that devil’s claw was a good ingredient for mild pain associated with KS, plus I liked that this has all of the standard joint supplement ingredients.

It’s affordable and palatable. My horse is a semi picky eater, he’s funny about strong smells or a large amount of powder. This is pelleted and doesn’t have a strong smell at all. He didn’t even notice it in his grain.

I noticed a difference within a week or so. My horse tends to get tense, anxious, and hollow in cold weather due to discomfort, and he became a lot more relaxed, soft, and elastic after being on this.

I am combining this with a separate dose of pure MSM for the winter months, which has helped him even more. The only downside of this supplement is that it’s not USEF legal. If you’re not showing, it’s definitely worth trying! That is the only reason I switched to something else.

My horse bowed a tendon in one of his back legs in 2021 and then after healing (without the use of these pellets) that took almost a year to come back from, he re-injured it again in May of 2022. Along with stall rest, liniments (to keep him comfortable), and standing wraps for support, I decided to try SmartFlex Rehab to hopefully give him a boost on the inside.

My hope was that if I gave his body the ingredients it needed to heal we wouldn’t have to go through another /year/ of rehabilitation. I’m SUPER happy to say that after a full month and a half of him being on this, he’s already showing signs of healing.

He’s not 100% of course, still on lots of stall rest, but I can tell he’s much more comfortable. We’re already moving on to about twenty minutes of in-hand grazing and short trips around the pasture at the walk.

I’m definitely planning on keeping him on this supplement for at least 2-3 more months before I reevaluate! Love this stuff (just wish it was a little more affordable!).

My giant breed100lb dogs x 2 seem to thrive. Both had musculoskeletal injuries that healed nicely, have used this since they were pups. I double my regular 1/4 teaspoon dose I give them with each meal x 2 daily when they twist or sprain something.

They seem to perk up and spring back. Their dog food already contains some from the manufacturer, but its really not at an effective level from what I have read elsewhere. This product has served me well with my giant dogs.

Update: Dec 10, 21I now have 4 Black Russian Terrier, just adopted 2 more, received at age 89 5663 in human years, at about 110lbs each. They both limp significantly and have trouble with the stairs due to their advanced age.

So, I give them 1/2 teaspoon at each twice a day meal for each and hope they live out the rest of their lives in comfort. I also give them coconut oil which is supposed to be anti-inflammatory. Also add a squirt of wild caught salmon oil.

I also cut back their food. Less weight and less to lug around. I trust this supplement will assist them in their advantages age. My original 135lb and 120lb dogs are doing great.

I have a mare who has shoulder bursitis from an accident with her last owner. I had trouble finding something she would eat and help with her pain. She often went lame and started carrying the majority of her weight in her back legs and Cleaning her hooves was a struggle because of the bursitis.

Our vet recommended cosequin and only 3 weeks later I noticed huge differences she started putting more weight on her front feet again and cleaning her hooves is so much easier and she rarely becomes lame.
