My dog’s name is Sabbath. She’s an eight year old Rottweiler, that wandered into a church parking lot, on a Sunday, more than six years ago. The congregation named her Sabbath and fed and watered her for weeks, before finding a foster mom, who later found me! She was young, but already had puppies and had only one eye! She’s been my heart and soul for six years.

I refer to her as ‘The Holy Rottweiler’! Anyway, last year, she developed eyelid tumors and was in a cone for a month. Four days after removing the cone, she came down with Addison’s disease, (a disease of the adrenal gland).

She almost died! These last couple of months, I noticed her back legs and hips, beginning to weaken. She was wobbly and had difficulty getting up and so forth. Hip dysplasia is common with Rotties. Just recently, her cortisol levels dropped and her medication had to be increased but that was not the only malady that presented! Her hips and back legs, just finally gave way! She would have to drag herself to the back door, with her front paws.

She couldn’t stand!! So, after a consultation with the vet, I decided to start giving her glucosamine. I did my research of all the ‘mainstream’ brands for humans, anyway, much to my dismay, were products of China! I found it ironic that I would be giving my dog a supplement, from a country, that routinely eats them for dinner!I went to Walmart and settled on VetQ.

It was reasonably priced and my baby girl loves them!Now, somehow, in ten days, she has gone from dragging herself by her front paws, to a little while ago, in the back yard, to flipping on her back, feet high in the air and wiggling back and forth at a fast pace!I can’t say you will have the same experience or that your dog will respond this fast but I would like to think it was the VetQ.

If you could have seen her ten days ago, you too would think it is a miracle drug! I can’t say for sure it was the VetQ but it sure seems as it may have been and anyway, it’s reasonably priced and it must taste wonderful and almost, most importantly, MADE IN AMERICA AND NOT BY DOG EATERS!.

My lab is 10 years old, we call her our old lady. For the last few years we have noticed she was starting to get a little bit stiff in her joints, and recently she has begun to have trouble jumping down off of our bed.

As another person said, this is a metal container that is painted. I don’t think this product is stored well or transit is just too hot. These are the consistency of melted tootsie rolls covered in mineral oil.

If you order in the warm months it’s just a solid mass. If you use a knife or something to try and cut them apart in the container, the paint chips off onto the product and it is assumed that is toxic paint.

I am not a packaging expert but there has to be better options than this. That being said, I do think this product makes a difference, more so than Cosequin. I like the ingredient list more so and my dog tolerates it better.

I use along with a collagen supplement and my 12 year old boy is limber and quick. Fix the packaging and it’ll be 5 stars.

Our dogs absolutely love these and I think that they do add high quality nutrition to their diet helping keep their hips and joints mobile and healthy. That being said they often (3 out of 4 so far) arrive melted together and are hard to separate and use.

We asked for a replacement from Chewy when the first melted one arrived but the replacement was melted as well. Chewy’s customer service is the very best out there. There is simply a problem with the climate control / packaging for this product.

We believe the problem originates while in storage. We don’t think it melts in shipping, although it could in the warmer months, because it arrives melted even when shipped in the cold of winter. If our next one arrives melted we will search for an alternative.

My dog Lucy’s hips suddenly began to deteriorate quite rapidly early 2019, to the point where she couldn’t hop onto the bed at night, and even on some particularly bad days we had to carry her up and down the stairs.

I got this for my genetic nightmare retired research dog. She has degenerative disc disease and nothing was helping long-term. She is on Galliprant and Diazepam daily but she was still in so much pain she would be shaking/panting/crying probably constantly 4-5 days per week.

We tried a couple of supplements that the vet suggested and she stunk so badly of fish that we discontinued them. We tried this and within probably 3 weeks we noticed a difference. My previous German Shepherd was born with hip dysplasia. I began giving her this supplement when she was 8 wks old. She died in February from cancer. Prior to her passing, she had to have surgery for that cancer, and she went through much diagnostic testing prior to her surgery.

I had previously purchased these in November 2020 and my little guy loved them. They appeared how they do in the picture, small and round chews that he’d eat up right away. I ordered replacements in April 2021 and although I ordered the same thing, what I received was a bigger jar, with bigger, square chews inside.

My dog has a summer skin allergy. It does not stop her from itching totally but it is a lot less than what she normally deals with. I had her on medication but I think her system got use to it and it stopped work.
