20 Best Jiu Jitsu Rash Guards (2023 Updated)

Disappointing quality, the graphics are peeling and the stitches are coming apart, after wearing it less than 20 times. The logo (which they say is fully sublimated and will never peel) now looks like “EL T Spo ts”, and I have stitch strings hanging from my armpits.

not a good look for your brand. I’ve worn other rashguards for 2-3 years without any of these issues. Worst of all, the customer service won’t honor the product. Do not buy these rashguards. The price is attractive, but you’re WAY better off spending the $40-60 on a quality rashguard from other companies that actually stand behind their products’ quality.

A while ago I purchased these in 4XL. Now the size is not available anymore. I am 198cm tall and weigh around 120kg. I think 3XL might fit, but that is gone as well. What happened?

I purchased the men’s shorts, spats, and rash guard. Everything fit very nicely and quality of the material is good. The price was amazing for what I got. Definitely a great buy! I highly recommend!

I love the core series rash gaurd. Holds up well and haven’t had mat rash since purchasing. I’ve torture tested this thing with multiple heavy weights multiple times a week with the same one and 6 months later no obvious wear yet.

Don’t buy anything via website if they are still using Amazon shipping, my orders never came, shipper scanned it was delivered, no where to be found. Customer support was not helpful making me jump through hoops, called Amazon and was told they can’t help as it was not done with them.

So I lost my orders. Why do I have to get a police report instead of having the shipper responsible for their mess up? Amazon does not make it difficult for customers when orders are missing or lost by Amazon shipping.

Just does not make sense.

157lbs 5’11” female (lean athletic build) used sizing chat. Body fit was only ok, but the sleeves are so short. Above my wrists by about 2 inches. Top of sleeves a bit baggy.

I can’t say enough good things about this rash guard and hayabusa as a company. I originally ordered two XL’s of this item but they were too small. Immediately upon submitting an exchange, the larger sizes were shipped.

I received the replacements very quickly which was greatly appreciated. The rash guards themselves are very high quality and keep me cool when rolling, even when under a gi. I love the simple design and the fact that it’s not ranked.

Rash guards with all those qualities are hard to find and I’ll definitely be ordering more as well as the long sleeve version.

Background- I’ve worn this to class twice and I just earned my bluebelt in BJJ. Pros + one of the coolest rash guard designs I could find (all the girl shirts were kinda ****). Bonus: I didn’t realize the inside of the shirt is bright blue, so where you flex/stretch it highlights the black by subtly showing through- very cool! (I would have definitely advertised this feature if I were Hayabusa!) + waist band has good tight grip + feels like quality + Shipping was super fast! I had it 2 days after I ordered it! (I’m trying to buy from companies directly instead of Amazon due to their political censorship) + Free shipping & free returns- that makes me feel comfortable buying clothes online.

Cons – Not available in women’s sizing- I had to order a small to get the right the arm length, but I could have used a looser size (I’m 5’2″, 160lb) Or I just need to work on my 6 pack- ha – I looked over my shirt for this review (didn’t think I would come up with any cons honestly), and I noticed that there is already some balling/signs of wear around the chest logo.

That was a bit disappointing- didn’t expect a Hayabusa shirt to do that to me after only 2 rolls/classes. – Price is a bit much for showing signs of wear after only 2 classes.

The rash guard color bled onto my skin, thought it would be different when i washed it and wore it a second time and same result just lighter color bleed. It also bled onto my shorts and the other compression gear i had ruining them both.

Second, I didn’t think i was rough on the material but it got damaged fairly easily pulling on the material lightly to readjust it, it would frizz with little snippets of the fibers starting to sprout out.

Overall disappointing.

We got this as a gift for my husband. We weren’t sure about the fit and quality so we only got one. Fortunately, the fit and quality of the rash guard is amazing. My hubby loves it so we probably need to order a few more.

The material is really good. It’s durable and has endured a lot of washings while still offering awesome support according to my husband. The sleeves don’t run up your arm so he uses it while doing his jujitsu classes.

Definitely a good buy!.

These are excellent rash guards for the price. I know these technical fabrics come at a premium but some rash guards are ridiculously priced. These are very fair and provide solid value for the buyer.

The fit is mostly true to size with perhaps a tendency towards being a little baggy in the torso area (sleeves are perfect). I like the feel of the material and the mesh panels under the arms is a brilliant addition that you don’t see really anywhere else.

These rash guards keep me cool and fairly dry even after a couple of hours of intense training. I wish the waist hem of the rash guard had more elastic to it to make it cling tighter to the body like some other brands.

I like it. It fits pretty nicely and doesn’t feel restrictive, which is good if you are doing classes and rolling afterward. There’s a cool pattern near the sleeves that was a nice surprise. Sleeves could have been a little shorter, though.

They bunch up just a little bit at the wrist.

I’m really surprised. I ordered two shirts. Same shirt. Two different colors. One blue. One orange. When they came, the orange shirt was markedly smaller than the blue one. The blue one fits. I like it.

The orange one looked like a Youth Size Large. I could barely get it over my head. So, I sent it back and exchanged it for another orange size Large. I wrote a note in two different locations online explaining what happened.

I got the replacement. It was exactly the same. Way too small. It was about an inch shorter and and inch narrower (2″ smaller circumference) than the blue one. I weight 170 lbs. How can a large be too small??? I was going to order a couple pairs of boxing gloves, but now I’m questioning your quality control.

I hope you guys check your shirts to see what I’m talking about. Is nobody else sending back the orange shirts? Disappointed, Bill Shuttic.

Hello, I love all of the products Fom HAYABUSA It is of an excellent type in terms of quality, quality, comfort and durability as well, but the big problem is getting an XXL size and my favorite camel colors.

You do not have a large size XXL, not even in MMA boxing gloves, not even in actual accessories, we feel unfair in this respect. There are people like me too 180 cm, and the size of your boxing shoes is 14 USA, and the socks are also Please pay attention to this matter, we are here.

The fusion rashguard is a little thicker than usual hayabusa rashguards and you can really feel its build quality. It also runs a little smaller than usual. Having bought the hayabusa geo rashguard at the same time.

The fusion feels a little tighter overall, although not uncomfortably so. If you prefer your rashguards to fit like most others. Consider sizing up. The dynamic shifting color also dosn’t look as extreme/bright as in the photos so you’ll want to manage your expectations.

It is much more subtle. It mostly looks like the main color. And darker than in the product photos. If you want a thicker/heavy duty hayabusa rashguard, then this is the rashguard for you.

Great quality for a low price. I received my rash guard a couple hours before open rolling at my gym. Didn’t have time to wash it, but I wanted to try it out. It was comfortable and very breathable. There was no pilling, sonething I’ve experienced with other rash guards from the friction, after a heavy session with multiple sparring partners.

The fit and material are good, but this short sleeve version has a paragraph about Elite Sports on the back. almost like advertising. Several at my gym thought it was inside-out! The long sleeve version of the same rash guard did not have this writing and was much cleaner looking.

Im very happy with this product. Im 5’10 220lbs and the XL fit true to size. In fact I could probably of gone a size down to a L for a true compression fit. Its good quality for the price and the armpits are made out of a mesh material that does a good job of keeping you cool.

Bought this for my 8 year old daughter. She chose the design, and loves it. It fits well and as my husband knows from experience is good quality. Customer service were really fast in responding and helping around size too.

Woukd recommend.

My daughter is a skinny bunny 11 year old and after reading the reviews we bought the medium size. These rash tops definately run small and we had to return the item (from NZ) and re order the bigger size.

The customer service was great and refund for original item was quick.

Literally had so many compliments on this rash guard to the point 3 other people want it now too! I got M sizing – i’m 5’9 and a muscular lean 66kg it fits well just a touch on the large side!

I used this rash guard to roll in Jiu Jitsu training — both in an no-gi session as well as under my gi in a normal session. Love the material and the non-slip features. Overall it runs really small. I wear men’s small in all of Ten Thousand’s gear.

According to the size chart for the rash guard, my chest size would get me a large or extra large. I purchased a Medium in the rash guard size. The lengths of the sleeves and shirt were perfect but the fit was too snug.

I’ve worn rash guards, compression shirts, and wet suits before. I know they’re supposed to be snug in fit. However this was a little too snug to the point that I felt restricted in my movement when rolling.

If I size up to a large, I feel the length of the shirt and sleeves will be too long.

I bought this along with the Fight Short three months ago when I started taking BJJ classes. I have been wearing it for both gi and no gi classes. It shows no signs of wear. Note that this runs skin-tight (bought size Large – I am 6’1, 200lbs, athletic build) and I was initially concerned that I would need to return it, but for grappling, this has ended up working well as there is no loose fabric.

In combination with the fight shorts, it stays tucked in even during long open-mat sessions.

The feel of the material was great and I couldn’t be more of excited that Ten Thousand is making fight gear (long sleeve rash guard please!). Unfortunately this ran extremely small. I’m an M in every other garment I’ve purchased from Ten Thousand but this item was unwearable (way too tight and constrictive).

The material and cut on this is fantastic, great compression, nice cuffs at wrist too (most of mine don’t have these). I can definitely tell the difference between these and the cheaper ones available on sites like Amazon.

The material is much thicker and compressive. The only downside for me is the length. I have a long torso and although it goes down just below the belly button, it tends to ride/roll up after rolling on the mat awhile.

I wish these were a little longer to help stay inside my gi pants! I’m 5′-3″ and 140 lbs, 36 DD and 28″ waist. The medium fit great except the short length, not sure a large would have fixed this as it wouldn’t have been as compressive and can’t imagine it’s another 2″-3″ longer that I would have needed.

The artwork is amazing too with great colors, very vibrant!!.

I have serval rash-guards from tatami and all of them are XXL. I was super pumped about this one. When I got it the item did not fit. Upon asking the customer service why. They advised that they use several suppliers so not all sizes were the same.

to me this is crazy when I order from a brand I expect that all sizes would be uniform. This was not the case on this item. Qc missed the mark in my opinion. So when I order enough to get free shipping.

I am now out shipping in order to return this item as well.

From its fit to its appearance, the Chess Gorilla Rash Guard is the best. Comfortable and gets the job done while simultaneously catching everyones attention in the gym. Theres nothing like it on the market.

I am 5 ft, 7 inches and 117 lbs. I have always worn body glove rash guards in extra small size without any problems. However , this particular one is short in the sleeves. I have redeemed it’s usefulness by cutting into the seam line close to the base of the arm sleeve to create a thumb “hold”.

That has provided the coverage I need while maintaining the ability to swim at the pool. It is too bad it requires redesigning.

I love body glove. I wear a small but get a medium and it fits perfect. Maybe I should where it as a second skin but I really like a little room. Fits snug in the shoulders and arms but I have some room to breath.

Have long sleeve and short sleeve in multiple colors. I wear it on an island off the Florida coast. Even the black is cool enough when I get it wet to wear all day.

Yes, I’m very impressed with this shirt. I live in Vt and Me. and the water can be bitter cold, and it really takes the edge off. Great base layer under my wet-suit too. My sizing is difficult, I’m really a large tall, or xl to get the sleeves long enough.

I bought this shirt for 25$ in the blue color, I also bought the same exact shirt in white. For 23$ (everyone complained it was a little see threw so it was discounted for that reason?) which it is slightly but even with a black sports bra on.

You really have to struggle to see anything. Same size, same material, same cut, everything except the blue was made in India, the white was made in Mexico. The neck line on the blue is HUGE, hangs funny and is extremely uncomfortable, the white one perfect.

The length on these vary like over an inch! The blue one is extremely short for no reason! The white one fits amazing and even though it is the slightest bit see threw I’ll take that, with a cheeper price tag, over this poorly crafted blue shirt.

So wild that they carried so much. Very frustrating for this name brand being so expensive.

This is a great quality shirt, it really is. However, I bought one, in white, largely to wear when it is very hot and sunny and I’m outdoors (hiking, running, golf, sports, yard work etc). I’m not sure if the reviews here are Aus-only, but if you’re in a hot place this is not even close to wearable in summer.

I do get hot pretty easily, but this thing wears more like a light jumper than a t shirt. The short sleeve version is the same, I can’t wear it if it’s warm or humid. The material is just too thick. The upside is that it’s very comfy and super well-made, out of nice thick material.

Maybe after 20 years of wearing it, it will have lost enough thread for it to be a summer shirt! It also runs pretty big, I usually get an L or XL in Aus or Asian brands, but I could have gotten an M in this.

This shirt is really weird and not in a good way. It’s massive for one. I normally wear a L/XL shirt depending on the brand so I went with an XL and this thing was massive. I could have easily purchased a medium and had been ok.

Second of all, it super boxy. I’ve never had such an ill fitting shirt through the midsection. I had so much material on the sides of my lower torso it was ridiculous. If you like a form fitting shirt that’s not baggy, just skip this.

I don’t know what they based the template of this shirt on but it’s terrible. I love Patagonia clothing and it’s mostly what I wear but I’m sending this back. They need to seriously work on this shirt.

This rash guard is awesome. I just started BJJ and bought one other rash guard from another company and the difference is night and day. The feel, look, durability is superb and far better than my other one.

Im a big guy (310) and it ain’t all muscle and this thing fits great (3xl). I intend to buy others, but I don’t think they’ll ever wear out so it’s not replace worn ones! The only addition I’d love see is some competitors use a gel like strip at the bottom to keep it from riding up.

This rashguard is awesome. The material is really comfy and on the thicker side so it doesn’t stretch and slide around unpredictably or leave you shivering as soon as you stop training. Size up one size from your FWH Tshirt size and the fit should be perfect for moderate compression.

The size chart accurately reflects this size difference between shirts. I also got the Luck rashguard and it is just as amazing.

Ordered the luck rash guard shirt and the order got mixed up and I received the shorts instead. They were extremely helpful and fixed the order and also let me keep the shorts they fit great very comfortable and flexible I will definitely keep ordering from FWH they are also well stitched and fill very tough.

Quality is really awesome, but the fit is not perfect. Their size chart isn’t really easy to use, but the rashguard fit nice and perfect except for the arm pit, it is really tight and irritating.

Love this rashguard! I always have a hard time finding one that can fit me (I’m 5’2, 48kg), this rashy is comfy and fits like a glove.

I’ve wanted this top for a long time now and waited for it to come back into stock. Well worth the wait. Great design and great for training in. I’m an XL/L in most tee shirts depending on how tight I want it.

This is a 2XL and perfect fit, make sure you size up one or two sizes.

Request for return slip. We always buy Volcom. We live Volcom products. This one just was not a good fit. Husband did not like the material.

Like the Style of your Products – Sizes are off. The XXL size is not a normal American man XXL. You don’t offer XXXL. I would buy your stuff if sized properly.

Sturdy and feels great. Thicker than other cheaper rash guards and I have friends who have been using them for a year with no complaints. Durable. No complaints.
