20 Best Jeep Wrangler Jl Accessories (2023 Updated)

This looks great on the Jeep. A couple of issues with quality. First, even in a box that had no outside damage one of the plastic end caps had “road rash” and was crushed on one edge. This will eventually be resolved by Rough Country as they promised to send me one.

The second issue was with the driver side. The tabs/holes were a little off on one of three contact points. Not sure which one as depending on which bolt you put in first there was some binding that kept at least one hole from lining up perfectly.

The weld on the tab was probably off a bit. Worked through it after loosening the bolts, trial and error and forcing a bolt in somewhat crooked. Tightening did line it up but it took a bit to persuade everyone to work together.

Overall I like it. I did not have to drill any holes on bar as indicated in the instructions (all were pre-drilled, albeit at least one poorly). I would buy it again and Rough Country was easy enough to work with when I called them about the plastic end cap.

I would have been done with the whole install in less than 30 minutes if it weren’t for the issue. With the issue it took about an hour. It helps to have a lovely assistant to help with the bulk. If you can’t get one of those then I suppose your bro would almost be as good but probably not as lovely.

These bars look good and function well. My issues are with quality control. The passenger side bar arrived with a area of the powdercoat worn through. The bars were well protected with bubble wrap, so the flaw was there prior to packaging.

The same bar also does not fit parallel to the rocker panel. It has a slight tilt. The drivers side bar had an issue with hole alignment and took some prying and elbow grease to line up with the factory mount points.

Perfect fit, no issues with anything lining up at all. Took about one hour to remove the original rock rails and install these new step bars. Great quality, thick steel. My Wife is 5’2” and needed a quality step to enter & exit the Jeep.

I just have nothing bad to say about these to include the price, which I thought was reasonable. Great purchase.

The following is a correspondence that I sent Star Fabricating regarding the Smart Door Stops. Hello just wanted to bring to your attention that your Installation video shows an incorrect installation procedure with your current Smart Door Product for the Wrangler JK.

I contacted your company just before ordering a front and rear door set for my 2015 Wrangler to confirm that the extension straps as described in the video came with the Smart Door unit. The only reason I questioned it was when I went to order them from Quadratec the salesperson said there were no extension straps in the kit.

After contacting your company, you told me that Smart Door units had been upgraded since the video was made and it no longer required the extension straps. Great! So I went and ordered 2 sets. Unfortunately, the other thing that had apparently had changed was the size of the hole to be drilled into the door frame.

Now I watched the video several times just to make sure I would do the install correctly and I wrote down the list of tools needed to complete it. In the video it stated to use a 1 3/4″ hole saw so I went out and bought a new Bi Metal 1 3/4″ hole saw.

I carefully marked my hole with the template and drilled out the holes. After painting the openings I attempted to place the Smart Door into the door frame. Hmmm, it did seem to fit. I then rechecked the installation sheet and to my surprise it showed using a 2″ hole saw.

I just assumed that the video was correct and missed that the hole has now been increased. You might want to update your video. Once you drill a hole with a hole saw it is very difficult to increase the size of that hole easily since you cannot insert and properly guide another hole saw in the existing hole.

The only way to enlarge the hole if possibly grinding it out. So back to the hardware store I went and purchased a 2″ hole saw and some grinding wheels but on the way home I decided I had done enough damage to my Jeep and would just plug up the holes on the door frame the best I could and forgo installing the Smart Doors.

They look like a great product but unfortunately I won’t have a set on my Jeep and will be returning them next week back to Quadratec. I hope that you will update the installation video that Dennis from Taraflex did for you to reflect the changes.

As far as the actual guards go, they are awesome. Look great. Problem is there is nothing in the description warning that they may or may not fit certain grilles. Mine makes contact against the guards making it impossible to snap the clips by the turn signals back in.

Got all the plastic trees on top back on but had to use some force. May be returning them as I dont want vibration to just scratch them all up. I have a grille with the angry eyes look and even tho there is a customer pic that looks good and like they fit properly, my dont fit and they look different as far as where each side that covers the light sticks out from behind the grille.

Even tho the directions say they work for both sides. Just looks uneven. Pretty disappointed since I waited for over a week to receive them.

A great match to the Rugged Ridge the rear LED taillight guards. These look great and are easy to install but you will have to remove the front grille. This is much easier if you don’t already have a bull bar sitting on top of your bumper! The instructions leave out the helpful tidbit that a long screwdriver is very helpful to pop the lower grille tabs loose from the steel crossmember that runs along the lower portion of the grille.

Once the grille is free the rest of the process is a snap. So, five stars for design and appearance plus three stars for not thoroughly explaining how to remove the grille equals four stars overall. Also these will make cleaning the headlights a little more difficult but they do look really cool.

For those of us who don’t like using side steps, this is an alternative. Better than buying the black plugs to fill the rail holes/rivet holes. Cheaper than most rail guards. Perfect fit. These look great and add texture to the side of the vehicle for a cheap price.

However, you can still see some of the undercarriage, which is what I bought this product to hide since I don’t use side steps. Still, looks much better than the empty holes on the side rails for those who don’t use side steps.

Not as sturdy or substantial as the new trim Jeep is selling on new Wranglers as a substitute to side steps. Quality is good and most you can expect from plastic rail guards.

Love rugged ridge products but this was the second time I was dissatisfied with finish. Fit awesome. Install easy as pie. Took like 30 mins. That includes “ losing “ the 10mm. But the powder coat had issues.

Either from shopping or manufacture. Of course was made right by these guys. Over all happy. But will need to be recoated soon.

Recommendation 1st thing is to inspect hole placements in each hole compartment and check if centered. I am a 62 year old female and was able to install myself. The first panel went on with no issues.

The otherside did not. When I looked closely at the hole placements In the plastic panel in the little hole compartments, some were not centered. Just took a utility knife and gently extended the hole a bit.

The washer covers all no matter what. Done no problem. Only complaint is the two clips for the end did not work well. So I am on the hunt for a better clip system.

Installed my first Jeep Gladiator mod (N-Fab EpYx Step Bars). This was a very easy install. Took me about 45 minutes with basic tools and no assistance. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the step bars do not fit flush with the vehicle.

There is some space which may catch rocks or debris. However I think they look great!.

Bought these despite the product images not looking too good on XT. I found some photos of the Toyota Tundra and other versions of this on N-Fabs site so felt I had a pretty good idea what I was getting.

Bang for the buck is great. They are very solid, with good welds and no flaws in the powder coat at all. I don’t expect any problems with rust based on the quality I’m seeing. (I’ll update this review if I have any issues down the road.

) Install was simple, I did it myself in less than 2 hrs. You probably want a buddy to help hold them in place, but in a pinch you can do it all one person. Comes with two sets of hardware based on what type of connection points you have so you’re set either way.

I uploaded my photos so you can have a look at what you’re getting, since those product photos are not good. I like the look of them and am happy with the purchase.

Easy to mount after removing the old steps about 1.5-2 hours total. They look amazing on the truck and make getting in easy, feel good and solid. Hoping the finish lasts, since the steps are steel.

Like some others, I found the Rubi Rails to be a tight fit, particularly the second bolt from the front on each side, while the rest had more clearance. I was also installing MORryde’s Rotopax side mounts at the same time which overlay the front pair of mounting holes on the pinch seam.

This added a bit of challenge – with the Rubi Rails already a tight fit I found I couldn’t take the easy way out and mount the MORryde panels first and slide the rails over them – the added thickness of the MORryde panels was too much to clear.

After some experimentation I found that by unbolting the MORryde panels from the body and sliding their bottom mounting holes onto the Rubi Rail bolts first, and then lifting the rails up and on while holding the MORryde plate in place vertically (a tricky balancing act for one person), everything eventually made it into position.

Once I’d figured the right sequence out, the second side went together much faster. Other than the tight fit and puzzling out how to get both the rails and MORryde mounts to play together, the rest of the install – really just adding the nuts and larger bolts – was a snap and finished in a couple of minutes.

The rails feel rock-solid and secure, so I’m pleased with how things turned out.

These rails are a great buy for what they cost. Should provide plenty of protection and by adding the step, my short girlfriend can now get in without struggling. The textured black looks good and matches my Barricade bumper.

I read that alot of people had a hard time with install. That was not my case at all. I simply held up the back studs and lined them up, and then popped the front into place by whacking the bottom of it.

It takes a bit of coordination, but once its in, its in. Yes, you will most likely scratch the paint on the pinch weld in the front. Is what it is, doesnt bother me. After that, its just a matter of securing it with provided nuts and bolts.

Mine has a slightly larger gap in the rear than the front. Ill put a spacer or 2 in the front eventually, but once again, doesnt bother me. Other than that, they look good and seem to be a quality part with just the slightest bit of fitment issues.

Id recommend these, cant be beat for the cost.

Chose these rails in large part because I wanted something that could serve as a pseudo step but also hide the pinch seams. Received this 2 days after I ordered. A lot of care was taken with the package despite the bulk and weight.

Each part was carefully wrapped in layers of padding. Install was easier than I expected – I did this myself start to finish, just with basic hand tools. I didn’t use a jack, but did find it useful to use a few cinder blocks to rest the rails on before I lifted them and moved into place on the pinch seam.

Really important – as someone else noted, there is most definitely a passenger side (wrapped in green plastic) and the driver side (wrapped in clear plastic). Since the directions don’t say which is which, I had to guess and naturally guessed wrong the first fit (it was obvious, pinch seem holes and rail screws won’t match up).

Lifting each rail into place does take some effort – they are heavy, and there is very little tolerance to get these on either side of the pinch seam. As a result I had some issue with the passenger side rail in which the rail screws were slightly lower than the pinch seam opening closest to the front of the Jeep (driver side rail had zero issues).

I spent about 20 minutes maneuvering, whacking with rubber mallet and a piece of wood, and finally was able to get enough of the screw through the holes that things lined up and I was able to make it all nice and tight.

Other than that issue, no problem. Took about an hour and a half total. For someone more handy than me, or with better tools and a buddy, I could see it taking less than an hour. Love the way it looks, feels super solid (I’m 190, danced around on the rails a bit and they are real sturdy).

Probably wrote way too much here, but hope this is helpful. I would purchase again knowing how much I saved as compared to the dealer.

I installed this bumper by myself and it took about 3. 5 hours, about an hour and a half to take off the plastic bumper and hardware/foglights, and 2 hours for the metal Arcus bumper and winch install.

It was a little challenging but the main thing that helped was to zip tie the heavy hook plats in place while trying to feed the first set of bolts to the inner frame holes. Before this step, however, I installed my hawse fairlead which was a must because the Badland winch was a tight fit.

If I waited for the last step to install the fairlead I would have had to take it all apart and basically start over. Anyway, I am extremely happy with the looks and functionality of this bumper. It is heavy-duty.

This looks even better in person. I like the power coat finish texture. There are a few nicks on a few corners but very minor. I am no mechanic by any means and this was very easy to install. The most difficult part was to rewire my aftermarket LED.

Tone minor thing, I didnt try to install back the original front fender filler strip that goes in between the grill and the bumper. Now there is a 3 to 4″ gap and I can even see the frame and other components.

I am not too happy with the gap. I might remove the bumper and try to reinstall de filler strip to see if it fits.

So install was fairly easy. Used basic hand tools. There was no tool list or torque spec provided by the manufacturer. This kinda is a draw back especially with the star bit sizes for the front bolts that attach the front bumper face, hooks to the frame.

I Believe it was a T50. I did have to pry a bit on the winch plate to get it to fit in. It is a tight fit and using a jack to support it as it’s sliding into position makes it a lot easier. This is definitely a 2 person project as getting the front bolts in while holding the hooks and front face and trying to align the bolts is very difficult.

Instructions a pretty upfront. Overall good quality bumper love the look and how low the winch sits in the bumper. This is the second one of this bumper that I install as I have it on my wife’s JKU as well.

Installed this for spring. I got it as a gift and installed it myself. The YouTube video was much easier to work with than the instructions. I love the freedom of popping the top. The one thing that drives me crazy is the loose fabric when I pop the top blows out like a balloon.

It doesn’t stay nice and tucked.

Great top, instructions were ok, although some part were pre-installed which was confusing with the parts list and steps within the instructions. Only had a few complaints the tailgate bar doesn’t fit the brackets to well, the screws provided for the tailgate bracket don’t fit and zipper pulls would be a nice inclusion to the kit.

If not, I suggest getting some zipper pulls.

other than installing the driver and passenger brackets this was pretty easy install. so nice and convenient to convert to almost no roof while on the road. a little noisy compared to hardtop but thats expected.

love this thing, will use it all summer and fall until the temp drops and the snow falls.

Love the look, I think Rugged Ridge came out with a new design. It appears to be not as tall and thicker tubbing than shown in the photos. Attachment is with hex bolts – hard to get as tight as a standard bolt.

I added lock washers. Would have preferred standard bolt.

Love the look, HD stubby bumper must be removed to install the Xstriker, I replaced the supplied easy to strip hex bolts with standard bolts after retapping 1 of the treaded holes that had bad threads.

Despite that small issue install was easy and I’m very happy with the product.

Purchased the rugged ridge stubby modular bumper the x striker bar along with my badlands winch really pulled it all together. Nice clean look highly recommended

3 stars for what seems to be a quality replacement, -2 stars for not appearing stock enough and not as pictured. The rubber casing around the edge only covered the rear facing portion of the mirror and not as far around the front half as what it shows in the picture, and like the stock mirrors.

Quality replacement, good materials, just didn’t have the right look and wasn’t what was shown in pictures.

I ordered this because my recently purchased 2007 JK was missing its tailgate bar. Im so glad that there are replacement parts for this sort of thing! I simply installed the hook things and then slid the bar onto my rear soft top window and snapped it into place.

Its as easy as that!.

So Ive delt with 3 soft tops in my lifetime as a Jeep owner and Ive finally found one of the best tops on the market. The quality of this Bestop top blows any stock soft top Jeep produces out of the water.

I highly recommend this product to anyone making the conversion from hard top to soft or anyone fed up with their horrible stock soft top.

So no doubt a great product. First class construction and design. For me I had some trouble getting studs to 150lbs of torque. The two “stop” nuts (you’ll understand as you install) wouldn’t stop! They kept turning together no matter how hard my son (BIG boy!) and I tried to tighten them against one another.

We got studs tightened to 140lbs max. Maybe a third nut would help, not positive. Then the directions said for a 35″ tire the second position would work. You guessed it, 35″ tire, second position, install tire, tire rubbed the bumper! Ouch!! Had to take the studs back out, (seriously is this happening!) and reinstall them in top position.

I know there’s a different clearance between plastic and metal bumper, not sure if that was the issue, this was a Rubicon 392. But once resolved, at that point, absolutely perfect! Looks great! 100% recommend, but with a heads up on the above info.

This wheel mount is awesome for larger set wheels and tires. It took about 2 hours and some creative thinking to get it installed. The kit is a perfect fit. The issues are the bolts that need to be installed into the unit and the lugs that go onto them.

The bolts need to be hammered into place. This is not easy if you don’t have a shop and good tools. I live in an apartment with a garage, so I used a Framing hammer with the help of a spark plug socket on a speed bump bar to get those bolts set.

That sucked. The original lugs did not fit so I used one aftermarket lock bolt that fit and the 2 long license plate holder bolts provided. Not perfect but it worked to hold the tire on. The unit is much stronger than stock and gets the tire closer to the tailgate, keeping the wobble to a minimum.

I purchased this for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. I have 33’s,12. 5×20. I had removed the stock bumper and encountered an issue where my tail gate was not closing properly. I quickly ordered this and I love this mount.

You can move it up, down, or outward away from your tailgate. In my case the tire had to be pushed away-outward from the bumper. This does require two people to help install depending on your tire. Mine are heavy.

It took a full day as there was minor issues but easy and fixable. It is heavy duty and looks great. They provided everything needed for the back up camera, especially for the 4xe, the camera needs the mount bracket.

Very pleased with this purchase!.

Recently purchased my JL Sport, stock they do not have side step bars. So one of the first mods I needed to do was add a good looking pair of side steps. After searching and researching, I decided for these step bars.

I got them right when they said they were going to arrive and installation was smooth and quick (for a pair of side steps). Only down part of the experience was that after I had installed one side, I noticed that I was missing two washers :(, since I had already installed one side, I decided to look for a couple of washers to complete the installation, thankfully I had them.

Called customer service to let them know of the situation and they were very helpful and apologetic towards the situation. They are sending me the parts that I’m missing, so once they get here I can switch the washers that I had put in for the time being.

Product is very sturdy and it adds a great look to my JL. Super happy with the purchase. Highly recommend.

I’m super happy with these. Shipping from ET was ridiculously fast. The rails were easy to install, look as good as an OEM product on my Bronco, and appear to be high quality. They were also much cheaper than a lot of other options.

Installation took about an hour since I also had to remove previously-installed rock rails. The larger fasteners provided with these bars are too beefy for the Ford-provided toolkit. So keep your favorite ratchet set or adjustable wrench handy for a quick installation.

I wanted a set of full-length Step bars for years! The first time I priced them I almost had to get CPR, why were they so expensive? I was checking dealers and “sport truck centers”, a big mistake. I’m not sure why, but up until a few months ago I did a general internet search and this site came up.

Wow! The prices were awesome, and tons of options. Like any other person out there, I hit lowest to highest priced options. I was impressed with all of it. I saw this little tab showing “open box specials”, I started looking and thought (I sell things like this all the time).

I took the chance and hoped at least all the pieces would be in there, I could deal with a few scratches and dents, mounting hardware is an entirely different story. My pickup is already scratched and dinged, I couldn’t care less if my bars were matching 😉 I just wanted a step.

Lo-behold, I get the bars in the mail. a few minor dents on the inside that no one will see, a couple of deep scratches that undercoat epoxy can remedy. I get them mounted up the next morning, and boy the Tundra looks mighty attractive now with the black contrast.

So much better than the stock latches and the hood flutter is completely gone. Awesome new look also. Careful if you have to open the hood after the engine has been running for awhile because these things will be HOT.

Installation is pretty basic. Bad design on the lower mount though. Make sure to go out and grab some low profile allen wrenches to save yourself frustration.

Let’s start the review with the fact that I can’t stop modding my Wrangler. So, when I went looking for a great looking pair of hood latches I was unprepared for the number and amount of aftermarket products available.

There were many styles and configurations of latches and many had terrible reviews. I had already chosen this style and after some research (all great reviews) I decided on spending the money (a bit more expensive) on this set of DV8 latches.

GREAT CHOICE! They went on easy, great fit, and look amazing. Plus, this set is the only one I could find (DV8) that got 5 star reviews consistently. Now, no more hood flapping and I’m secure knowing my hood won’t come flying up at the wrong moment.

Highly recommend.

These hold downs look great and solve the hood flutter issue from the stock hold downs. The downside, and I hope I dont have to open the hood very often, is the number of pieces that come off when opening or installing.

The bottom heim joint will always stay intact, so no issues there, but when you remove the top pin so you can open the hood, the heim joint is disengaged BUT so are the little spacers on each side of the heim joint.

These two little parts can drop on the ground and get lost (happened to me on install) and make getting everything aligned together when re-locking the heim joint a real frustration. These spacers should be integrated into the base so all there would be is the base, the heim joint end, and the pin.

If it was made this way, it would be perfect and, for $109, it should be.

Looks really nice. Simple to install, just peel the adhesive cover and place down. I only got front ones and tried to center it where I would like it before peeling the adhesive. Where I placed it, it comes overtop a small groove.

If I wanted to avoid the groove it would be off to the side a bit, and I didn’t like that look. Not sure how long the adhesive will last.

It’s not often that something simple makes a huge impact but purchasing these door sills was simple and they made a huge impact. The door sills look so great you will want to drive your Jeep doorless regardless of the weather.

I actually had another Jeep owner comment on how great they look while he was stopped next to us at a traffic light! These door sills are easy to install too – it took us maybe 10 minutes!.

Put these on our 2022 Gladiator Mojave. Took about 5 minutes a side and really adds a nice touch to the door sill. The plate feels very sturdy and looks like good quality. The double sided tape felt durable and seems like it will last.

I purchased the Rugged Ridge Rocker Side Panel Body Armor Kit for my husband. He loves them. They look like steel but they’re a heavy duty plastic. They look nice and he said they were easy to install.

Came with all of the hardware needed for installation. His jeep is starting to look like he has envisioned. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Before buying these rocker guards, I checked just about every review I could along with install instructions. One thing I noticed was owners complaining of needing additional nutserts. Looking at my 2001 and where the holes were place, I had a hunch that no nutserts would be needed.

Online directions also reinforced this so why would so many reviews AND the pics here say otherwise? It is because the instructions that shipped with the guards direct from Rugged Ridge have the sliders mounted backwards! This was enough to mislead Extreme Terrain which is now misleading all subsequent buyers.

On my 2001, NO nutserts were needed. Only 2003 and up when the seatbelt was moved will require 1 nutsert that is included. If you need 3, you have it on backwards but this is really Rugged Ridge’s fault.

4 Stars for the product but -2 for this critical instruction error.

Very high quality construction and finish, which is what you’d expect from Borla and at this price point. It sounds great! The sound is there when you want it to be – when you punch the throttle and when you start it up.

There is no drone and when driving around town or steadily driving on the highway. The installation is pretty straightforward. The challenges you may run into is seized/rusty existing exhaust clamp and exhaust pipe.

The video on Extreme Terrain makes it look like you just wiggle the existing muffler off. That’s unlikely to be the case if your JL is more than a few years old, but it comes with the territory and should be expected.

Soak everything down with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster and let it sit over night. But this does not detract from the Borla exhaust system. It’s simply excellent.

I wanted an exhaust that gave my JL a deeper, more throaty tone and this Borla S-Type did it. No noticeable performance improvement but a deeper sound at idle and especially when accelerating. Only the black tips are visible on the street but fit and finish seem great.

I’m very pleased with the richer sound and volume. Not too loud but noticeable. Great blend of volume and tone. I would buy this again.

Great set of pipes. Install was super easy but wanted to wait a little bit before I wrote this review. My only issue that I’ve come across is that the paint has began to flake off after being on my Jeep for 90 days.

After speaking with Borla they have stated it should have never done this and I must’ve gotten a defective product. They have offered to ship a new set of pipes after they are back in stock. Most likely if the new exhaust has no issues I would like to put this product at five stars.

I think it looks awesome but struggled a bit with install. The license plate holder does contain a light however, it seems that any cover will not work due to light placement and the curve on the bottom of the bracket.

As for the rear backup sensors. Getting them off the old plastic bumper was a real pain. Had to call DV8 support to figure out how to mount the sensors. I got the pdf for the install which I will link below, so I hope they will include it on the product page but is much more work than anticipated.

“If you have a plastic OEM bumper spread the outer tabs to release the sensor out of the back of the bumper. Then use a scraper or putty knife to break the plastic welds holding the entire bracket to the bumper.

KEEP TRACK OF HOW THESE ARE MOUNED AS THEY’LL NEED TO GO INTO THE NEW BUMPER THE SAME WAY” and “If you have and OEM plastic bumper use a strong epoxy to adhere the plastic housings to the bumper using the same configuration that was on the factory bumper then place the sensor into the housing reversing the steps used to remove it.

NOTE: the housings may need to be trimmed slightly in order to fit properly. ” I ended up buying MOPAR SENSOR BEZEL from DV8 instead of that hassle so now I have to wait. Overall, it will be worth it in the end but plan accordingly if you have sensors.

I have mixed feelings about this bumper. I like the design of it, that’s why I bought it. I was quite surprised at how thin the metal is. Install should be pretty straight forward, but it wasn’t. We couldn’t get all of the bolt holes to line up, so had to drill out one side just to get the holes to line up.

Now after actually getting it on, I realize it’s on just slightly crooked. (closer to the body on the passenger side than the driver side) Also, after I got it mounted up, I really didn’t study the weld quality.

Welds look like they were done by a high school ag student! Very noticable welds, they even missed a small section on one side, the powder coat helps cover that area, but between the thin metal and low quality welds, I have big concerns about how well this could actually be used as a recovery bumper.

For the price I paid, I can’t complain too much, but it is certainly not worth the full MSRP, in my opinion. It is nicer/more rugged looking than the plastic factory bumper. I will be replacing it with something better quality later down the road.

Like several other reviewers here, I fully agree the receiver port is very impractical and a challenge. The fit, finish, and quality of the bumper is excellent, it looks great, with a clean design, and is not as heavy as some other choices.

All good. But the integration of the receiver port is maddening. You need small hands, and the stubbiest short hitch pin you can find to maneuver it into place (from below and behind), and yes, once in, the pin is a challenge to remove.

The hitch pin hole area is within the enclosed space of the bumper. There are no safety chain holes. I loop safety chains through the D-rings, as attached. But this requires enough chain/cable length to make the longer reach.

If your trailering needs are light and infrequent, then you can probably live with the awkward design.

All in all a decent product but needs clearer instructions on led step location/direction and wire adjustment as to not damage the led wiring when retracting. Also, The corners of each mounting bracket needs to be milled to allow space for a socket to be used to tighten the under frame bolts.

Other than those 2 issues, the install went well and is a good value for what you are receiving. Jeff, Typhoon Services.

I bought these things for my 2022 Jeep rubicon 4XE and the instructions that came with are not the same wiring as what’s in a 2022 Jeep. I spent hours installing this thing and the wires cannot be hooked up and when I called RC- he said I can send them back which doesn’t do me any good since I have to buy all new packaging, take them back off leaving my no rails on the side since they were disposed of already.

RC SAID these would work with my Jeep, but they don’t.

Great instructions and fitment. If you have torque lift camper tiedowns they clear the front frame recievers for the tie downs. Passenger side needed no shim but driver needed some shim and adjusting.

Shim is included too. The light is bright that is built into the bottom of the step which is nice at night.

I have a set of these installed on my Jeep Gladiator. I cannot say enough about the versatility these provide. When driving on the freeway, especially in high wind, setting to 3 stiffens the ride and keeps you from being blown sideways on the road.

Its also great when towing. In the city or for day to day driving I set the to 2. 2, as there are 8 micro settings for 2. We have some bumpy side roads and for me this setting works great for this scenario.

When offroad or when I’m going to be spending the day on dirt roads I will set them to 1. Having such versatility in a single set of shocks and by simply turning a dial is like having three different jeeps in one.

These 3. 3 Falcons are a perfect match along with the Outback springs if your JK is heavy with an Overland build up. Being able to adjust these really helps with the side sway squirly feeling in corners due to extra top weight.

A 2. 5 inch (3 inch) TF Outback spring lift will accommodate these shocks no problem with good articulation for the 4 door JK. Road handling improves considerably when set on 3 for a stiffer ride and much better cornering.

These are way better than the 9550 shocks for a heavy ride with lots of gear. If you want a little plusher ride, set them on a lower setting or even 1, which is more like a 9550 shock set. A good investment IMO, and easy instal.

I installed these shocks about 4 months ago and what an improvement. The Jeep rides much better on the road and on the highway. Its nice having the adjustment dial to change settings when on the trail.

The overall quality of the shocks are amazing and I won’t be going back to a factory style shock again. I would recommend these to anyone looking to improve their suspension.

The sliders are solid and add great style, protection and comfort to my Jeep. The design is also top quality as are materials used. It operates smoothly. The instructions aren’t the clearest in terms of description or order of the install steps.

There are many install videos out there besides Rockslide Engineering’s but for every variation of Jeep there will be differences. Routing wires including finding a path, getting the slack neatly wrapped and making the reach to attach tie downs is the most time consuming and challenging part of the installation.

My short stubby fingers weren’t all that helpful. All that said they are well worth the money. I’m totally enjoying the end result!.

These are very nice running boards for a Jeep that might go trail riding compared to other automatic style running boards. The wiring harness is now different from the install video shown here. The install video on Rock slide engineering is also different.

We got it installed in about 7 hours. The longest time was getting the harness installed. There are 2 pinch weld bolts that need to be removed prior to adding the rails(just behind front tires below where the rubber gasket goes).

The new harness also has different install locations for the rear door sensors. The battery cable is now installed down the passenger side and not the drivers side. Over all, great addition to the Jeep.

A new video might help negotiate the install though.

Bought these in late 2020 for my wife’s ‘20 High Altitude. By late 2021, the battery drained dry. Completely dead. Completely sulfated. Dealer replaced it in January 2022. Now, it’s August 2022. Same problem.

The only add-on are these steps. Functionally, they are entirely awesome, but we must find a way to resolve the sucking the battery dry problem (note, I installed exactly as instructions indicated).

Just installed this exhaust on my 2022 JLU Sport S. The install took me about 45 minutes, and was really easy. Even for this rookie. My Jeep really came to life with this. And the tone is absolutely perfect.

Not crazy loud, but a nice deep semi-aggressive tone when you get on it. And zero obnoxious drone tone. The build quality is top-shelf. I could not possibly be any happier with this purchase.

This exhaust just has the perfect tone it’s not crazy loud when cruising and does not have that annoying drone at low rpms. But when you get on the throttle you will hear it and it’s just the right tone.

Super easy install once you get your old one off.

Amazing quality. Injen took their time and it shows. Nice low sound to make the jeep sound like a Jeep. After removing the stock exhaust, you will see a real bend where it narrows that idk how QA approved.
