20 Best Jeep Renegade Lift Kit (2023 Updated)

Perfect fitment for my 2016. It made the truck look a lot better! Overall I haven’t noticed a ride quality difference. The install was a bit rough by myself, but I watched the American Trucks install video for the another leveling kit to do the rear install.

For the fronts I recommend watching a front strut spacer install, BUT find a separate video (from YouTube) on how to add the 2 inch plastic spacer. Another recommendation, if you are doing this by yourself without a full lift: When doing the rear, put a jack stand on each side of the truck under the frame near the rear seats.

Place another jack stand under the center of the rear axle (Where the driveshaft connects) and use that for maintaining equal balance for both sides. *** GET AN ALIGNMENT WHEN YOU ARE DONE! Don’t cheap out, it will ruin your truck! ***.

Ordered the kit for my 2017 Z71 Sierra with the stamped steel control arms. I verified on the Rough Country website that I received the correct kit for my truck (SKU: 1312). I started the install process and quickly realized that the lower 2″ spacers would fit fine – but the.

5″ Upper strut spacers require a spring compressor. The kit includes circular upper strut spacers NOT the triangular ones with the bolt holes that are pictured above. I also noticed that the instructions in the box (different than the ones included on website) clearly say that you need a spring compressor to install the.

5″ shims. Very disappointing especially when the truck is apart and you were promised a fully bolt on install.

I got this kit as I wanted the extra 1/2 lift over the 2 leveling kit. What I found though was that it costs quite a bit to have the plates put inside the strut due to strut having to be taken apart to install.

I opted to just do the 2 level part and rear block only as it didnt require strut breakdown. It was going to cost an extra $160 in labor at the garage to install the extra 1/2 discs. Otherwise this is a great quality kit and should last a lifetime.

The ride alone is five star. I have a 2013 JKU. Working off of jack stands and 190,000 miles it was a good effort getting it installed. It was well worth it. I had to modify the brake line extension brackets.

My brake lines were not long enough. All you have to do is bend them out and drill a new hole for the length of your lines. Also, working off of jack stands, I had to use a spring compression tool to get the new springs in, but that is a piece of cake.

Just a heads up for you guys that like to plan out your jobs. You will have to straighten your steering wheel, piece of cake. Also plan on an alignment after altering you suspension that much. The kit did not come with sway bar end links.

I bought the 2. 5″ for the rear and moved the stock rear to the front. Your goal is to keep your sway bars near stock ‘level’. This will effect your ride also. Good luck!!.

As much as I would love to off-road, I don’t. I never have, I noticed a clunking noise coming from the rear of my Jeep so I took it in to the dealer. They informed me that both of my rear shocks were broken.

Broken to the point that they couldn’t put my vehicle on the lift because the springs would come out, and broken to the point that it was unsafe to drive. I contacted Rough Country and was told that it is unusal that this would happen at this age.

But sorry there is only a 3 year warranty. —Way to stand by your product!.

This is a simple kit that not only let’s you run big tires the performance is second to none. You would think that adding this kit along with big aggressive MT’s my Jeep would be all over the place, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

This kit comes with new coils and shocks that actually makes my JK’s ride and handling performance 100% better than it did brand new. Once again I would highly recommend this and any other Rough Country product.

I recommend have a mechanic with a alignment machine install. You can do it yourself if you have the skill, tools, and left but still will need an alignment. Fit perfect on 2021 TRD Off Road. minor cutting required.

Ride like a Taco. Running 32s (265/75R16 Faulken). I like it better than Rough Country (which I used on 6 other lifts).

It is a good kit. Tacoma owners make sure that if you go 33s, you will need to trim. I would suggest getting UCAs for alignment purposes. I’ve been struggling with alignment with stock UCAs

Thinking about this lift…but instead of the rear block wondering about an “add a leaf” to get both the rise bit also the practicality of being able to load or tow with less sag? Thoughts?

I purchased a similar product from another competitor and was not pleased with the fit or the tech support so I send it back. I purchased the Tuff Country brand and was very happy with the fit and ease of installation.

Easy insrall, Didn’t need anything else , actually raised front of my 2014 JK 2 door Wrangler 3″, and my other sons 2017 unlimited by 2. 5″. Both installed about 1. 5 hrs. Each. HIGHLY Recommend. 2014 and 2017 Jeep Wranglers.

Excellent reusable filter element, used by the likes of F1 teams in professional racing. Well built, no fitment issues. Sounds slightly better, freer breathing, could be slightly more competitively priced against some of its other competitors.

the extra length allow for running up to 14 inch shocks or 12 inch shocks with extension to fine tune the full travel and compression

I have not install these as of yet, but they seem to be a good quality product. I purchase Crower cam shifts to match. Looking forward to the power additive these products will produce.

The pros: Top was pretty easy to install. I consider myself to be somewhat mechanical, while my wife is not very. Together we installed the top in four and a half hours. This includes drilling out a broken screw and going to the local hardware store to buy a bigger screw for a stripped hole.

I dont recommend the use of a power tool to install. The top is very easy to operate with the windows out, we enjoy it very much in the fully retracted position. Fabric seems to be top quality as well as overall construction.

The cons: Screws are easy to break. I recommend hand tools for a better feel. Windows are a pain to install. Rear zipper is hard to get started and side windows are difficult to snap into door surrounds.

The most irritating thing to me is the Sunrider position. Its great for the front passengers, but fabric hangs down on the heads of rear passengers in our JKU. Passengers are constantly pushing fabric off of their heads and without passengers renders your rear view mirror useless.

Very happy for the most part thus the four star rating.

I had enough bolt left with my stock torsion keys to crank up 1. 5 inches, and that was as far as I was willing to go for A-arm clearance. I did use the shocks, and as far as I can tell are good quality.

The add-a-leaf worked out well. Removal of old parts was painful do to age and rust, but that’s unrelated to the kit. Overall I am satisfied, but wish I had skipped buying the torsion keys. I am very pleased with the new shocks as I already needed new ones so badly.

Could not be happier with how my truck turned out. Did need to call Tuff Country tech support and they where extremley helpful with a few question I had. Ride did not really change which is good, was worried the ride would be too stiff.

Quality product, made in USA is a bonus. 2002 Toyota 4×4.

This kit went on pretty easily. Took my buddy and I about six hours. Had to cut off my old ubolts, but everything else went pretty good. Really like it sitting higher. Off to get new rims and tires! Toyota 1997 Tacoma.

I’m a DIY everything person and the instructions were very easy to follow. The tow bar hole that needs to be drilled could use more clarification on height. By the picture it looks like you drill even with top of the hole but you actually drill even with the center.

Other than that one step everything was super easy with no questions and it looks great. Just waiting on rims and tires now. Can’t wait to drive it on the beach!.

This is a good kit for the price but be cautious. if this is all you install on your vehicle you will have terrible tracking unless you add an adjustable track bar to your order. I found this out the hard way after installing everything and the jeep dog walked pretty bad.

An adjustable track bar is pretty much mandatory with this kit. I suggest ordering one that comes with it to save time and hassle.

having this lift for over 3 weeks now, I expected to be done with the lift by now. It’s very good quality and clear directions. HOWEVER, I’m thinking this is more of a retro fit type of kit, because many of the provided bolts were not the same size as what you take off, and bolts that are to be re-used are in the most awkward spaces.

What I mean by that is the one’s meant to be re-used ended up being ones that were the most rusted, and we had to purchase new ones anyways. Other than that, very nice kit so far, just be prepared to buy more during the install if you have any rust already on the car (and in our cases, be prepared to buy a set of torches lol).

My TJ was riding crooked (leaning on it right side) added this spacer and it leveled everything back out! Install took some time, but with the right tools only a couple hours.

I’ve only installed these in the front of my LJ, but it was not difficult. If you can take the brakes and shocks off, you can install these. Lifted the front exactly 3/4”.

Parts were well packaged, lock-tite was included for the bolts and nuts for the spacers used to drop the sway bar; so were the bolts, nuts and spacers with the formed spacer, which was painted black.

Directions with pictures were very helpful and confidence inspiring. Called tech service after installing the front spacers, looked really nice and level, tech assured me the rear spacers would be a noticeable change as well, and he was right.

Drive characteristics after install was very similar to before install, which is a positive to us. I am somewhat capable, but it has been a long long time since I done anything like this to a vehicle.

I am very pleased with the components and the directions as supplied. It took me about six hours to install. I could have really benefited from proper LT Jack Stands and a helper to push down on the rear axle to get the rear springs out and back in.

At 52, out of shape and fluffy, this was a seven on the difficulty scal. Proper tools would have really helped along with some muscle to extend the rear axle.

I bought the lift, received it about a week and a half after the original delivery date. It was missing some parts like the rear sway bar components, also had different sized washers in it for the same size bolts.

I know this because some washers didn’t fit any of the bolts in the kit at all and were too small for any bolts removed. I’ve sent them a request to the customer service department and haven’t even gotten a confirmation email back just no response at all.

I feel like the bds kit would have been a better route at this point. Also I have the larger axle on my truck and they sent two sets of u-bolts for the rear axle but one is too narrow to fit around it and the other was not long enough because of the added length for the overload springs.

Highly recommend any other company.

Installed over a weekend. Had to order a socket for the pitman arm nut. The biggest issue I had was the spring packs in the back and adding the “helper” spring. The bolt kit I had did not work but called Rough Country and they sent me new bolt kits out asap at no charge.

Thank you! I took it over for an alignment once completed and they said that it did not need one. I have 20″ Fuels with 37″x12. 5″ and have just a little rub at full turn. I like the kit but it does sit a little lower in the back and is not level.

I also ordered the steering stabilizers and installed. I took off the stock stabilizer but after driving, I put it back on and like driving more with both.

I would recommend this product to anyone. Before the installation my truck was 1 1/2 inches lower in the front than the rear. After installing the kit, and the truck was lifted there was only 1/2 inch difference.

The truck looks great and rides smooth. The only advice I have for future customers is 2 things. As it is also recommend by Tuff Country, I recommend an alignment immediately after installation because it will chew up your front tires if you don’t.

And I definitely recommend using a professional grade strut spring compressor. We had issues using our own compression tool, and ended up taking the struts to a shop and have them install the aluminum spacers on the top of the springs because it actually broke our compression tool.

The shop only charged us a very minimal and reasonable price for the both of them. 2013 Ford F-150 STX.

Installation was easy , but don’t be surprised if you’re expecting a level lift and you don’t get one. The lifting blocks could have been painted or powder coated, they are already showing signs of surface rust.

Did not own the kit for long, removed it and installed a better kit that gave me what I wanted. This kit is over priced. 2010 Ford F150.

I purchased a 2. 5 inch kit. My first kit installing and first 4×4 vehicle. Back went on super easy and happy with height and stance. Front also went on fairly easy but had to cut the u bolts to be able to get a socket on for torquing.

I attribute that to my leaf pack only having 4 leafs. After I got it installed, front springs sat completely flat. I heard mixed things whether the springs should be completely flat or have arch. Called customer support, asked my question, they requested me email a few measurements and pictures, did that, never heard back they just mailed me new front springs.

I assumed I for the wrong ones at first. So, spent another weekend replacing the front springs…. too short. First springs measured 46. 5 inches, second ones 43. 5. Springs brought my front axel forward 2.

5 inches and when I put a tire on and let the truck under it’s own load, tires were in the fender and not drivable. Called rough country support and took a 4 tries for someone to actually listen and answer my first initial question about if they should be flat.

Long story short, told me to install the original ones sent……. another few hours of my time. So I all, took me about 22 hours to install including my 6 calls to customer support. Do your research on the kits before ordering from here.

In the end I am running the kit because it’s on, but won’t purchase again from here, will explore other options.

This kit exceeded my expectations 10 fold. I replaced my original worn out stock suspension on a recent axle upgrade. My lift was closer to 6″ after install but suspect some settling. Bare this in mind if you are replacing old and worn out components it will be more then 4″ of total lift.

The ride is night and day compared to my old worn stock stuff. Also the shock mounts on squarebodies will require some indexing to fit. Nothing big but should be mentioned. If looking for a lift on a budget look no further.

Lastly I have to say customer service is like no other. I had an issue with my u bolts being too long based on the springs. They instantly sent me out replacement u bolts no questions asked same day.

I actually talked to a real person and they were most defiantly located in the USA not some third world country. Rough Country keep doing what your are doing. There are few companies that can still deliver a good product these days and back it with good customer service.

The springs are good (back built better than the front). The shocks are dinky so I’m hoping they work well once they’re put on. The parts come in boxes with a number on the box but nothing tells you what is for the front or rear so if you can’t tell by looking at the part, get ready to call.

It comes with a bushing set but doesn’t have the bolts that go through the pins so expect to spend some time and $$ finding those. The only way I found them was in a complete bushing set which made the set that came with the kit useless.

Customer service was a joke, basically here’s what it comes with and good luck. Apparently after making several calls to them, they don’t even sell the bolts that go through the pins in the leaf spring.

I have two more of these trucks and I definitely will not be purchasing the lifts from here. Will go back to the superlifts that I have used on all of my Fords.

I installed this kit on my 2014 Unlimited Polar Edition. The ride quality is great for daily driving – the suspension is much more responsive than stock. The responsiveness makes the trail experience much better as well.

I felt like I didn’t get tossed around as hard after installing this kit. The install was straight forward minus the track bar relocation bracket. It didn’t even come close to fitting and I had to drill out the factory location so the new bolts would fit.

It was also hard to tell what this kit comes with. It has bump stop spacers for the rear, but not the front. Also, an adjustable front track bar is needed to properly align the frame and body with the front axle.

Other than those couple of items, this is a great kit and I couldn’t be happier with it. My jeep looks great and drives great.

Alignment was perfect. Much more responsive than stock on road and more capable offroad. Leaf pack squeaks like crazy though. That’s the only draw back. If you plan on pushing the weight rating on the medium duty leafs I’d recommend going with the HD pack to save yourself the bottom outs that will occur.

Straight forward install, took 3 hours total front and back. I used this spacer for the rear with a 1. 75in front spacer to improve the stance of a ’12 JKU. Did the job and 33’s fit just fine under there.

Comes with a good set of instructions.

Directions were dark and confusing to follow due to the darkness in the photo instructions. Other than that happy with it so far. Rides as good as it did if not better.

This lift was an easy install and just the right height for my jeep. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The jeep looks amazing. It rides great and the vertex shocks are impressive. Huge upgrade over stock. So happy I chose this kit.

It can be very difficult to find accessories, parts, kits, for my 2003 Tundra, so it was nice to find this first generation Tundra suspension kit for my truck. Utilizing the preexisting front coil-overs and maximizing factory parts, you get the best value with this kit and installation wasn’t terribly difficult for me, personally (only needed two jack stands, one hydraulic jack, no air-tools, no impact wrenches, just my socket set, pickle fork, etc.

basic tools for most home garages). My only beef would be that the kit does not come with extended sway bar end links. The factory sway bar is at too severe an angle to meet with the OE end links (threaded rod at top, 90 degree ball joint at bottom), and it is virtually impossible to find a suitable end link in an extended or adjustable version to make it work.

I had to buy OE end links and weld an extension to the threaded rod on top to make it long enough to mate with the sway bar. Also, the kit did not come with rear shocks, and your old shock absorbers are not going to have enough travel after the lift is installed.

Make sure you buy a pair of Tuff Country’s SX8000 (that they recommend) or some rear shock that compresses to 14″ and extends to 26″. I used Bilstein’s. 46mm Monotube Shock Absorber (item#24-185417).

If you buy Tuff Country’s SX8000, be advised that you have to also purchase the rubber boots separately (don’t know why the manufacturer doesn’t include it, poor business choice for them). Of course, with most any lift of this size that utilizes the OE rack and pinion, steering performance is going to suffer, depending on your tires.

I’m considering upgrading my power-steering sometime in the future, although I was impressed with the manufacturer taking the time to include poly bushings for the rack and pinion mounting to the lower sub-frame.

All-in-all, I think my truck looks great, and after a precision alignment on the front tires, and replacing all the ball-joints and bushings (while I had the suspension all apart, I figured, “why not?”), my truck performs great.

I would definitely recommend this product to other first generation Tundra owners (unless you want to fork over a few grand for a complete suspension swap out for a lift, in which case, have at that).

Just finished installing this past weekend on 2000 Toyota Tundra SR5. We took our time and followed the directions, and had great success. Lift arrived 2 weeks ago and was missing 2 of the subframe bolts.

Contacted company on Monday, and they had the replacement bolts at my house on Wed! Relocating R&P does cause steering shaft to rub the factory fuel lines, but I was able to slightly push them up and out of the way.

Installed 33×12. 50s on 20s with a 44mm offset and absolutely no rubbing of tires on frame rails, fenders, or bumper. Kit even includes new R&P bushings. It was a little challenging to install, but it was also my first time.

All in all, great lift! But if ur not prepared to install yourself, you better be ready to fork out another $800 or so to have it done at a shop! Extremely satisfied with the outcome! Wish I could’ve included before and after pics! 2000 Toyota Tundra SR5 4WD.

Got this kit very quickly. My buddy and I installed over a weekend. Not a simple install, but doable it you follow the instructions. Looks amazing with the new tires and rims that where put on yesterday.
