Best Jeans For Small Waist Big Thighs (2026 Updated)

They are great. They fit well. My only suggestion is to use thicker jean material. They will eventually wear thin before their time between the thighs and then create a tear. It’s the same situation with the blue jean version of the shaping jean.

It’s happened to me once already. They last maybe two years before it happens. That’s wearing them almost daily. I wash them on cold and hang them to dry. The materials Levi uses are becoming lower quality as the years pass.

I’m not sure why they would do that. It only reflects poorly on them as a company.

Have owned several pairs of size 18 over the years, but put on a couple of kgs over COVID and decided to go up a size to a 20 for a bit more roomy comfort. But, turns out the fabric either changes between an 18 and 20 or it’s a newer version of thin, stretchy denim.

Ordered online so couldn’t physically inspect in store but this new pair had little shape around the butt/gut upon first wear and have stretched by a crazy amount after first wear, that they actually just fall straight down.

Of course it’s now difficult to find a size 18/20 belt, will probably try and just alter them myself for a home pair, as I can’t return. Disappointing.

My favorite pair of jeans!!! Stretchy, comfy, flattering shape for curves. I normally wear a 31 to 32 waist and 32 length. I got a 32 waist cause my last levis were quite tight, they were feom the 700 series.

I found with the 300 series pants, the size is more appropriate to curvy and larger sizes, specifically love the 311 because it tapers to the leg, not quite a skinny jean, a comfortable version. I could definitely fit at 31 but i kept the 32.

I love the dark wash on these jeans, the colour will come off by touch when you first get them. If you wash with vinegar i heard it stops the colour from running, havent had a chance to try it yet. But definitely super flattering, had alot of comments already, worn 2 times.

Have been wearing these jeans since they practically made their debut, but haven’t purchased any new one’s until just recently as they have held up beautifully. The fit, as usual is just perfect, but something about the fabric has changed.

I used to be able to wear them a couple of times before washing. That is no longer the case. I put them on, and within an hour or two they are baggy and just very loose – not retaining their nice, snug shape.

Can’t get a second wear out of them. Disappointing, to say the least! Also wished you offered them in say a 30-31” length. 32” is very long! Have not been able to find someone who can do a good job hemming jeans.

The petite length is just a little short for me. I live in “cowboy country “ and we tend to wear our jeans stacked a little over boots, but a 32” inseam is still a bit much for me and the petite length is too short.

I typically wear a 10 in NYDJ, but have lost about 12 lbs so purchased an 8. They fit great, but we’re loose and baggy within an hour. Unable to return them as they have been worn and washed. So I purchased a size 6 to see what happens.

Tried them on, They fit, nice and snug but not tight. Haven’t worn them all day yet. All that being said, I still love the fit, style, comfort, and different washes offered. Am just not at all thrilled with the fact that they don’t retain their shape for very long at all.

NYDJ is my favorite brand jeans at this stage of my life. I appreciate the fit that accommodates my thicker mid section. However, these pants do not go by the typical NYDJ size chart. According to the NYDJ website, Size S is supposed to accommodate sizes 0-2-4, M 6-8-10, L 12-14-16.

My ‘normal’ size in this brand is 6 but I also have size 8 & size 4 in my collection. I prefer this straight, pull on style for the smoother front, without a zipper. So when I ordered size M, I thought they’d fit great, maybe even a little big.

But, they are a pretty snug fit, for my taste anyway. And, they did not stretch out much, if any at all, even after wearing straight for 3 days! Impressive, even though I was hoping they’d get looser.

Jeans always stretch out! These do not! I’m not used to having my jeans so snug in the rear & thigh areas. I’ve never worn a size 10. Ever. So, I decided to try the size L. I figured if they don’t fit, I’ll return them.

I got them & there isn’t much difference between the size M & the L. The waist is about 1 inch bigger, the seat and the thigh area are a tad bigger but still snug. But, in all, the size L is more comfortable.

Never would have guessed! Try these but size up. I think I can get comfortable with the more fitted rear & thigh & I think these might become my favorite. I’m keeping both sizes because I know there’s a thin 5-pound-line that I straddle so I’ll be comfortable in both sizes from day to day.

I did what they said ordered one size smaller, perfect fit! A perfect fit, shocked! They are not super tight, fabric is beautiful cool soft like old denim, and move beautifully with you not against you as you sit bend etc.

The fabric is fabulous , does NOT stretch out, pull on or open zipper works. The cut for hips etc works as waistband does not cut in or gap with movement. I am 5’6” , 46 hips, 40 waist, calf is 15” , 29” inseam – ordered 14 regular in Hollander color.

Pants are 25” so ok crop. These pants form over my curves but they do NOT look loose or sucked down. I appreciate that as stretch jeans tend to wrinkle up if fitted tight but not these. I am in shock the fit and the fabric not stiff, not hot, not thick, not thin, and well made.

I have bought many other expensive brands and this one beats them all by a mile. First pair in my life to fit, I am 74! Thank u NYDY. ❤️.

I am a lifeguard and rescue diver, and LIVE in these Levis and in Water. Levis 517 have great construction and fit, which only improves when they are broken in — in water. My 517’s never see a washing machine nor dryer – and always maintain the same dependable, rugged ‘swim-fit’, as though they have memory.

and this is due to the way I break them in. First, I buy my waist size or a little more snug. Then, I add 2″ to the length to allow for draw-up and shrinkage and tapered them to a 13. 5 inch leg opening so they fit like men’s 512 used to.

Went to Sheplers last week looking for Wranglers 936 slim fits. Tried them on and they just didn’t work with my body, too high in the waist. On a whim I tried on the Levi’s 517 stretch, 34X36 jeans and couldn’t believe my eyes as well as the way they fit.

The waist came up to just the right height and the length was just a little long which is good for boots. The best part was the fit and the stretch. I can wear these tight, just like I like them and still bend and stretch with no problems what so ever.

Im not kidding, these are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn and I’m a guy who likes them tight, just like how cowboys used to wear them. I also really like the way the waist fits. From the hips up to the top of the waist band the fit is straight up, not as tall but kind of like Wranglers and not like 501s which cut off the circulation at the belly.

After washing they became a little different shade of blue and look good. I took them to a tailor and trimmed up the boot cut so its not so big and that cost was minimal. They truly are my new favorites! I just ordered two more pair yesterday.

These jeans look like jeans but feel like leggings. I love them so much! They are super soft and stretchy. They were a little tricky to find the right size. For reference, I’m 5’4” and fluctuate between 170 and 180.

I carry weight pretty evenly in the tummy, butt and thighs and wear a size 12 in the Bombshell jeans. I originally bought the lean jeans in the 0 size. They fit pretty good everywhere except the lower tummy/crotch area and the butt.

It was just kinda baggy and bunched weird and they were overall a little baggy—I like my jeans tight. But the elastic waistband part fit perfectly. So I decided to try the 00. And I got them in tall.

The regular length was a little short for my taste. The waistband is a little tight. But it fixed the weird bagginess problem in the lower belly area and butt. If front pockets are important to you, I wouldn’t go for these jeans.

They are very shallow and quite useless. I wish they would give them full pockets or just get rid of them altogether and sew them shut. But they are fantastic jeans even though it’s been a bit of a journey to find the right size! The first photo is the 00 tall.

Can’t say enough about this brand! I wear a size 28 no matter what cut or style I try on. No more trying on hundreds of pairs to get the one that fits! What makes these so awesome is the stretch in the waistband!! It’s perfect you can get a good tight fit without being strangled by the waistband.

I own so many pairs of these jeans, I reach for them every day. 5’7 140lbs size 28 is perfect I’ve never gotten so many compliments. Try a pair please! So many cute styles.

I wish I had several pairs of these jeans in various colors! They have the perfect amount of stretch and are so comfortable! I did size down one size. Love these so much!

I ordered one size below the size I normally wear and these jeans were still at least one size too big. They are cute but just need to size down.

I’m 38 but re-discovered A&F jeans recently. I really like them, they fit very well and I love the Xtra short length since I’m 5’1 (117 lbs, muscular). There’s a lot right with these jeans but where they miss the mark is the heft of the denim.

It’s too thin. Doesn’t keep its shape and end up a size bigger at the end of the day. I wish they would use thicker high quality denim because the rise, pockets. Fit and length are perfect.

Color is so cute for the summer! The waist is a little big, but they fit perfect on my thighs and butt so couldn’t size down. Maybe a cute belt will help! The material is a real Jean, thick material! they are good.

My new fav for jeans and shorts too. Just wish the waist fit a little more snug and didn’t stretch out overtime! I will say my size is a bit bigger on Abercrombie then American Eagle. Usually an 8/10 at AE but i get a 12 here! So beware of that.

I opened my shipment and immediately smelled moth balls. It made me gag. I tried them on anyway, and they fit. “I can wash the smell out,” I think. I remove the tags and wash on cold. I use detergent, Oxy-clean, and Borax with extra water and and extra rinse.

I take it out, and not only does it still smell but the other clothes I washed with it smell now, too. UGG. So I wash them again with more detergent and an extra rinse. The smell will NOT GO AWAY. If I wanted to smell like that, I’d dig around in my grandparent’s attic or find the bargain basin at a thriftshop–not spend $60 on a pair of pants from LL Bean.

These jeans are high rise which are perfect. They run tight around the ankles. I have three pairs – white, gray and blue. They all fit differently.

Very soft and durable denim jeans with a comfortable waistband! They are comfortable and very flattering with the tapered legs! I will be ordering in another color! Very pleased!

I thought these jeans looked so cute I ordered them in two colors. I am 5’5″ 125 lbs and normally order a size small or size 4 in jeans. I could not get close to getting these pants buttoned and I could barely fit my foot through the leg opening.

The quality looked nice but I had to return them.

Perfect fit in waist, loose and comfortable through legs and perfect mid raise. Pockets though seemed smaller compared to other branded jeans. Quality was reasonable.
