20 Best Jeans For Petite Curvy (2023 Updated)

These jeans are perfect for a 55 height, some fat tummy and curvy hips. They feels comfortable and sexy all at once. NOT for slim figures at all!

I bought the petite in 29’ & 30’ the 29 fit perfectly. I normally wear size 8P in jeans but I have 7 extra COVID pounds to factor in so I was thrilled to see size 29 available a 28 would have been too tight.

For reference, I’m 5 2 1/2 137lbs curvy& short-waisted. These bootcut jeans lengthen and slim my legs and bring up my tush. They are comfortable with just enough stretch. Very flattering for my body type.

Not sure what the inseam is but it seems longer than 30’ which makes me look taller. Looks great with my summer wedges and my heeled booties. Excited to have found mid-rise bootcut jeans that tick all the boxes.

High-rise jeans are too high for my short waist. I’ve tried a couple of other mid rise bootcut brands but the fit just wasn’t there. If you’re looking for mid-rise bootcut jeans this is the one! I’m ordering two other colors because this style is a staple in my closet and worth every single penny.

The provocateur is a nice color that goes with dressy and casual tops. Love love love them!.

They were long and I am 5’6, but I would have kept except the thighs were tight. I thought they might stretch but they didn’t enough to be comfortable. For the record my thighs are normal, regular. I wanted more room and the fit says curvy.

They are going back and I did like the fit and look except for the thighs being too tight making bending uncomfortable. I would try another pair but I had to order them online and just don’t want the hassle.

These jeans are amazing. They are so comfortable. I have fat calves and I’m so sick of squeezing them into skinny jeans. I’ve tried the mom jean look and just can’t pull it off, also I don’t like high rise.

Anyhow, the rise of these are perfect. They don’t cut into your belly when you are trying to WFH. They look amazing too. I find myself always reaching for these jeans instead of my MANY other options.

The one thing I wish is that they were not stretch, like the old days. But the stretch in these is comfortable. Anyhow, you should buy these jeans. They are classic. I have a very athletic build, from cycling and lifting weights and these are my favorite jeans!.

These jeans are incredible. I am genuinely grateful to whoever invented “curvy petite” as a size. I seriously almost cried when I put them on for the first time. For reference I am 5’3, 127lb and have a large butt and thighs and a small waist.

The size 6 fit perfectly. My whole life I have struggled to find jeans that are big enough for my butt/hips/thighs, but small enough in the waist and that aren’t too long. Some designer finally realized that most women don’t look like little boys, with straight up and down bodies! Hooray! I am so happy to not have to constantly pull my jeans up to avoid a plumber crack.

The wash is super flattering too. I just bought a 2nd pair and plan to buy more if Banana republic continues to release more colors/washes, especially darker washes. There aren’t many reviews for them, but trust me, BUY THESE JEANS! P.

S. I also like that these are mid-rise, not high-rise.

I really like these jeans but find that each order ends up being a different length. I’m not tall, only 5 foot 4 and I had to return because they are too short. After washing they would probably shrink a bit and be even shorter.

Same style I bought two months ago fit perfectly but this recent pair just at my ankle.

Finally!!! No smooshing, spilling or flattening here. Built for the thigh rub and flexes with your infinite to do list. They chill with you on the sofa and are the perfect dinner date. These jeans never shame my assets but put all others to shame.

I recently bought these Elastic Waist Pull On Skinny Legging Jeans in color Deepest Indigo. They’re very comfortable and I appreciate the real/functional front and back pockets. There is more looseness in the legs than I anticipated.

My legs are NOT skinny, but the fit in the legs is more like a skinny jean and not so much like a snug fit legging (not saying that’s a bad thing; it’s just not what I expected based on the online pics).

I am also very petite in height, but the shorter petite length wasn’t available in any size, so I took a chance and ordered the longer petite length. The pair I got are a little longer than I need, but not so much that I need to have them altered, so it worked out okay (I laundered before wearing).

Overall I’d recommend these if you’re looking for a jean alternative.

I have struggled to find jeans long enough my entire life, and the struggle only became more real after I had kids and none of the waists fit well either. These are perfect on both counts and cost 20% of what I was paying for other attempts.

I wasn’t sure about the high rise, but they are comfortable to sit, stand, eat, and do life. They lay nicely underneath clothes without any puckers or zipper issues to deal with. And they stretch all the way to my ankles and beyond.

Sometimes the jeans loosen as the day goes on, and I really like the option of having a belt to keep the jeans in place. I have observed that others feel as I do about the belt loops. Give these jeans a try, and buy a few different sizes at once so you can decide which is best for you! It’s easier to return a few than to keep exchanging through the mail.

They may run out before you find your perfect size!.

These jeans were my first LE purchase and after hearing great reviews, I was super hopeful. The curvy, petite, mid-rise option was GREAT for my waist/hips/butt. I’m a short pear/hourglass and definitely have a “mom belly.

” This managed to get things that fit my hips and back without either squeezing my muffin top OR being way too loose, which are the typical extremes. The dissapointing thing is- they are NOT skinny jeans.

There are multiple inches around my ankle, more like the straight legs that are coming back into style. Which is fine. if that’s what you want. I personally wanted a traditional skinny that was tight fitting at the ankles.

Perhaps LE’s “curvy” is meant for those big calves & ankles also, and this wouldn’t matter/would be positive to those who have thicker legs in addition to curvier hips. On me though, it’s a perfect fit from waist to thigh, then becomes baggy from knee to ankle.

If you are okay with that, it’s probably a great choice. Just do not personally feel this should be called a skinny jean. Also, they do attract lint so be prepared to lint roll! Haha.

I normally have LE jeans figured out. I wear a size 6 in most other brands, but for LE I always size down to a 4 and they fit well. These particular jeans, in the dark wash, LOOKED smaller immediately when I received them, and indeed they are very tight on me.

I have worn them, so perhaps they technically fit, but they are super tight in the waist specifically. I wonder if my body is not really the correct shape for the “curvy fit”? So to other shoppers, be aware that there may be more room in the hip/thigh area of these jeans, but the waist area is smaller! Also, I agree with a previous reviewer that the petite inseam length of 28 feels a bit “too short.

” I have other brands of jeans in 28 length that just cover my ankles, and these sit right above my ankles. On the bright side, I got the dark regent wash and didn’t experience any color bleeding during wear or wash.

This review is for women who have recently discovered the miracle of pull on skinny “legging jeans,” aka jeggings. I tried several different styles and brands—with zippers and without, high rise and lower riding, with and without pockets.

These are the perfect combination. If you wear your shirt untucked, then who needs the zipper? This waist is nicely smooth and these pockets (a necessity) lie flat. The color saturation of both the black and indigo is nicely intense.

A note to petites: at barely 5’3”, I thought I needed the 26” inseam but since it was out of stock, I got the 28” and planned to hem them. I was pleasantly surprised that I don’t have to.

These jeans are awesome! They’re stretchy and forgiving and the cut is perfect! I bought them during the Anniversary Sale so they were almost $30 off regular price. These are jeans you need to size down one size which make me feel happy cuz I’m bought the size 6 Petite – meaning I’m really a size 8 Petite.

I’m 5”1. 5 and these jeans don’t need any hemming whatsoever if I wear my platforms. From lower platforms to the higher platforms, these jeans are working for ME! I feel so chic and feminine. Sometimes a smaller sized pant can reinvigorate my spirit and these pants are perfect for that result.

We all have ways to keep looking fit and this is one of mine. Wearing these jeans reminds me of how sexy I am and gives me just the boost I need to continue to keep fit, trim. Also, I’m a 54 year young minded woman that loves fashion and looking HOT.

I ordered a few different pairs and styles of W&W jeans I thought were super cute. When I put them on they were super comfortable, fit perfectly however the pockets in each pair were never sewn in place correctly.

Each pair the pocket thread came lose, leaving a large hole. Getting in the car to my granddaughters birthday is all it took and had to leave my long open sweater on the whole time. Second, Cleaning up the house and put a Bobby pin in my back pocket that fell straight to the floor.

I thought, I spent enough money on these why are the pockets threads not secure? So I sewed them up myself! My body type is hard to find jeans. I’m 5. 5, 165lbs, 40 years old, and very curvy. I hope they fix this issue because I refuse to spend another dime on this brand if I have to go back and check their work! Ridiculous.

3 stars- 1 for the fit, 1- for the color, 1- for the effort. Two missing on the embarrassment it caused and I had to finish the seamstress work myself.

These jeans make my petite legs look longer. I am a size 4 petite in these jeans but normally wear a size 6. They run a tad big and because of the stretch in the waist I am able to fit into a size smaller.

They are fitted in the thighs and flare in the calves to give my legs a flattering silhouette. The high waist gives no muffin top! The denim material is not too thin and not too thick. I wash them with woolite in cool water to perserve the color and texture and pop in the warm drier for 5 to 10 minutes only, and then hang.

The length is perfect for my 5’1″ frame. I like to wear a slight heel with my jeans. I think bootcut jeans should be worn almost touching the ground to give that longer leg appearance. The nice thing about the length is that they can be hemmed shorter, which Nordstrom does for free.

Some jeans in petites come too short and thus cannot be lengthened. They are so comfortable to wear all day. I love them!.

Unfortunately i think my days of buying my jeans from Aveneu are over. The chemical that they use on the material is unbelievably difficult to get out. And it’s only certain material. Tends to be on the Avenue brand jeans.

The ones that have an avenue waist tag but the hip tag says “city chic” tend to not be so smelly. And the thought of that being next to my skin & potentially getting into my system just isnt going to happen anymore.

It’s really sad that companies seem to care more about the money than they do the health of their customers. I bet the CEO of this company doesnt buy jeans that are checically treated. I am a long long long time customer & sadly i will have to look elsewhere for my jeans from now on.

I have worn the Butter Denim in 3 different sizes (28 T, 26 T and now 24 T) over the last 5 years or so and they are my go to. They are so comfortable and my first pair, the 28 T have held up flawlessly.

Little to no scuffing or wear anywhere on them and I’ve worn them more than enough to show. However, bout three months ago I bought a smaller size (26 T) and am seeing the crotch thin out very fast, which is alarming, but on the 28 T that I have had in the same wash for years now have not worn down at all.

Probably a fluke on that one batch, or so we could hope, and a total bummer, but honest still the best jeans out there IMHO. I’ll have to see if my brand new 24 T are going to live up to my expectations or shred at the in seem as well.

For the talls girls looking for jeans, I am 6’0 and they are a smidge too long.

I can’t say enough how much I adore these black jeans from Ralph Lauren. Black Jeans are my go to and these have quickly become my favorite pair in my wardrobe. They are made with strong, durable material , you can tell the quality is the best.

And they are unbelievably comfortable. They are stretchy and soft, they feel amazing on my legs. They look so sleek and the fit is perfect. I feel so confident and beautiful when I wear these jeans. I will definitely be buying more soon.

I can always count on Ralph Lauren for great style, quality and super fit. I’ve been buying RL for many years. These jeans are great. I’m ready to move away from the ripped, distressed looking jeans.

These are a nice clean cut pair of straight leg jeans that you can wear with almost any kind of footwear; sneakers, sandals, flip flops. The length was good for showing your cute spring sandals! I’m ready.

I was hopeful, took the tags off and wore them, and was quickly disappointed. They are now in my donate pile because I just can’t. This mid rise is high – mom Jean high. And the stretch in them does not hold you in, therefore accentuating any belly pouch you may have.

The stretch stretches out a bit, so after wearing them for any length of time, I was biting them up constantly, and they did nothing to flatter my figure…they actually ended up looking horrible because the zipper/fly area was so long, it sagged a little bit, making me look like I had a huge gut.

Not a look I’m going for. I’m my opinion, these are a miss. I bought an 8p. If I wanted to try again, I would buy a 4p, but I just don’t like any part of these enough to try and order them again.

I discovered these curvy sculpting pocket jeans a few years ago and they are my favorite by far. I have several different washes. I find that the black and very dark washes run a little smaller and the lighter washes run true to size.

I’m 5’2, 125 pounds and wear a 4 petite in these. These jeans are so comfortable because of the stretch. The high waist means I’m not constantly pulling them up. The length is longer than how they appear on the model.

They go down right below my ankle. I highly recommend any of the sculpting pocket jeans! Please keep making these!.

Midrise is midrise. Highrise is high. Why do they state midrise when they are still higher waisted than true midrise. For those that like the highrise, make highrise, for those of us that can’t wear highrise, make a true midrise instead of this in between crap.

I was a loyal Ann Taylor customer and I haven’t bought a pair of Ann Taylor pants or jeans in well over a year because I can’t wear highrise and their “midrise” is also high. I’m not against highrise or those that like that style, but for those of us that don’t, stop pushing it on us! I thought I’d try these, and to my great disappointment, they are still highrise.

I used to buy all my jeans from elsewhere, but after I tried this pair of Loft jeans, I’ve become obsessed! The mid rise is what I consider a true mid rise that stays up on your waist without needing to be tight on the hips.

They sit comfortably on me, which I love because I don’t feel like I’m constantly pulling them up. I got the 8 tall bc I’m 5’7″ with long-ish legs, so the hem just covers my ankle bone rather than hitting above it (and I can just cuff it if I want a cropped look).

They don’t grab lint too badly like some black jeans.

I have a pair of these I purchased a couple of years ago and they fit wonderfully. They are long enough and fit close without being too tight; and they are comfortable to move in. This newer version has a crotch is too low and they’re definitely not as long.

It’s clear they did not use the same manufacturer or used a new style template. Not a fan of these.

Thank you for making a mid rise Jean. For reference I am 5’1” and 122 lbs. I am not curvy. My torso is short and for my height, my legs are long. I have a thick waist and slender hips. Your high waisted pants/ jeans don’t fit me because of my shorter torso but these are great! Keep making these for those of us who don’t want clothing that accentuates the waist!’.

These are a replacement for a pair I bought a few years ago. I have been wearing the curvy fit in Talbots jeans for years and find that they always fit perfectly; just snug enough through the hips and small enough in the waist.

They also offer a little more support through the tummy which helps create a nice side profile. Will be back for more colors.

I was looking forward to receiving these jeans, but when they arrived they were sized wrong! I ordered 4 petite curvy, and that what was on the Jean, but when I tried them on, they were about a foot too long! Had to take them back to my store! We measured them against a 4P and they were a lot longer!.

This is my second pair of these jeans (the other one was a blue color). The high rise/curvy fit is great; fits around the waist without being too tight in the thighs and hips. But I agree with the previous reviewer that these are not deep black; more a dusky black or super dark charcoal.

This changes how much these can be dressed up (in my opinion); they look more casual. I will use them for that, but just fyi for future buyers. Also, the front pockets are shallower than you might be used to in jeans.

I took a chance on these curvy roadtripper jeans as a final sale item. I have only purchased one other pair of Madewell jeans, the regular roadtrippers, and had to send them back because they were both too tight and too loose.

I expected this curvy style to work better for me, which it does. I’m still trying to figure out my sizing in Madewell jeans, so for reference, in most other brands I am size 27. According to Madewell’s size chart, I might be either a 26 or 27 depending on the measurement.

I would have gone with a 27, but a lot of the reviews said to size down. So I got a size 26, and they fit. great! This is actually the first and only pair of legitimately high-rise jeans I feel comfortable in; normally they constrict my breathing, but these are super stretchy and also just really flattering.

I removed a star because they have that “rubber smell” that I associate with like, juniors’ denim at a cheap department store. If you know you know. I’m concerned for their longevity.

When I received these in the mail, I was shocked at the quality. I know colors on monitors can vary, but these jeans are significantly – SIGNIFICANTLY – lighter than pictured and lighter than my previous pairs.

The fabric is cheap. The denim is not smooth and thick – it’s thin, scratchy, and you can see vertical lines going all through the fabric. The zipper and button felt cheap, too. I’m returning them and will have to go in-store to see if all of their denim is like this now, as I don’t want to have to mail in more returns.

My favorite pair of jeans was from Madewell, and I’ve had them for many years. Unfortunately, they finally gave out at the inner thigh right before I was going on vacation, so I needed to order a new pair ASAP.

I thought I was ordering the same model but they must not make the ones I had anymore. These are not long-term jeans. They feel like they were manufactured knowing people would have to throw them away after 6 months.

I was obsessed with these jeans about a year ago. I wore them multiple times a week and they just paired perfectly with everything. The unfinished hem, the perfect knee holes, the high but not too high waist.

It was all chefs kiss. But after about my sixth pair of them I finally gave up on them. The quality of these jeans are actually terrible. I had to repurchase these jeans at least six times because of holes in the crotch area.

Granted I did wear these jeans very very often, but a $128 pair of jeans should be able to withstand frequent wear. The fabric is so thin that within six months of buying them they would form giant crotch holes on either sides of my thighs.

The last pair I got even the zipper broke before they were a year old and I had to line up around the missing zipper section in order to zip them up. Finally I traded them all in with their donation program and bought a pair of the perfect straight jeans, hopefully these won’t crotch out as fast!.

These jeans are definitely more of a jegging material wise but that’s what I love about them! They are as stretchy and comfortable as jeggings but by the look of them they look exactly like a regular pair of jeans.

Definitely the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever had by far!! The only downfall is that if you have thighs that rub as you walk (even just a little like me) then they will wear easily and cause massive pilling and eventually cause tears, but honestly these jeans are so comfy that I don’t mind switching out for a new pair as necessary (I’d say about every 6-12 months depending on how much you wear them).

Stick to size, DON’T size up, unless you have a bigger middle as they fit exact around waist, but then the will be larger on the leg. Wish they came in a light wash to maximise rather then minimise curves but has a light part on the butt and goes with all your darker winter coloured tops.

To be fair these show off your bottom even in the black (I have both). Try Canopy jeans for even more comfort but a lower rise waist, Glistening jeans for an easy fit with structure but again a lower waist, and Classic high rise jeans for high waist with comfort and showing off your bottom (I had to size up one on those three).

I purchased these jeans in the medium and dark color and I couldn’t be happier. These jeans are by far the most comfortable pair I have owned. They have a super stretchy fabric, more like a thick legging material then jean feeling.
