20 Best Jack Stands For Cars (2023 Updated)

I think it’s a overall good product, BUT I had one of the rubber caps missing. I called JB TOOLS several times and left several voicemails but to no avail. I also filled out the message form for my complaint but likewise to no avail.

Also one of the holes was not big enough for the pin to go through both sides, but no worries, a simple fix. But I would like to have my eighth cap for the stand being that I have spent a lot of CASH with this company or at least have someone get back in touch with me.

AT LEAST!!!.

I researched a number of jack stand product specifications and various review sources before settling on the Esco product. It appears to be well built, it is heavy and the post is made from solid round metal stock.

One of the posts had a nick on the second to lowest hole setting which would not allow pin to go through. It was nothing major and I removed with metal file and didn’t feel it was something that would make me return it.

Look forward to using it on my next DIY project and will feel confident there won’t be accidental release of the holding mechanism as in other designs.

Got these to do a lift kit install on a mid-rise hoist and they have become a life saver for me and my buddy. These have held up a 95 F350 to a Jeep TJ to a BMW and many other cars in between. Best part about these was the price point.

Many others out there cost almost as much as these do but you only get ONE when with Sunex you are getting TWO. Quality is not bad either. Just like any shop tool its going to get beat up and scratch but they have handle it very well.

Update: These things are still holding up great. My buddy and use them a ton and have saved us both on some of the harder jobs we have done. All these have double as axle stands a few times as well. Will add more pictures after I make the files smaller.

I purchased these jack stands because I needed stands that would extend to 30” height and these fit the bill. But didn’t realize how heavy duty the stands were. These stands are safe, secure and stable, even for the heaviest of vehicles.

They have foot pads on each leg making them useful for using on a gravel driveway or in the yard. They are a little pricey but the confidence you will feel while working under your vehicle is worth it.

First off is these jacks are BIG. I mean like crazy BIG and built like a tank! When I opened them up and just saw the size of the retaining pin I was laughing for like 5 minutes. Everything about these felt like a joke because of how huge everything is.

Look at the size comparison compared to small 2 ton jack stands and what I would call a large 6 ton jack stand. They are not even in the same league. In my picture there is a full size shovel to give you a idea of just how tall these things go.

I used these to work on my Dodge Ram 2500 that has a 6″ lift with long travel leaf springs. There is so much leaf spring travel that you have to jack the truck up to a crazy height to get the pressure off the springs.

The Dodge frame is curved just in front of the rear tires so you cant place a jack there, at least safely in my opinion. That’s where these very tall jacks come in. I placed them on the rear section of the frame which is a good deal higher up than the rest of the trucks frame.

I had to get these jacks around 42″ in height to get my truck off the ground with enough clearance to droop the leaf springs and not have the 37″ tires still on the ground. Without these jacks I would have had to use a redneck very unsafe method to try this.

With these jacks I am 100% confident that nothing will happen.

I have a Tundra that I like doing my own maintenance on. I had bought a set of cheap jack stands for this work and never felt 100% safe under the truck with them and figured is my life worth 200 bucks.

These stands are no joke. Solid and stable on my concrete garage floor. I think I could place these under a dump truck and feel safe. I had to laugh when UPS dropped them off and the box was shredded because how do you ship a set of heavy duty jack stands in a cardboard box and I read the reviews about the box being in bad shape.

It did hold together enough to keep everything together though.

Holy cow. No worries about these collapsing on you! These are super heavy and the finish on them is really nice. Be warned though, they are very heavy jack stands compared to any others I’ve totes easily around the shop.

I’m not sure why the email says JEGS 50th Anniversary Creeper & Seat since I purchased three ton jack stands. The JEGS 3 ton jack stands which I ordered shipped fast and arrived quickly. I have not had an opportunity to use them yet.

I unpacked them and found them to be solid and well made. I’m looking forward to using them.

Not built to last it was over painted so the groves was hard to move up and down. It just seems like it was made at Walmart with a kegs name slapped on it. My HarborFreight stands I trust more.

Just the right size to fit under my 2020 Shelby GT350 since it is very low to the ground. Very pleased with these jack stands. Recommended.

Great stable jack stands. Great Quality. Truly beautiful addition to my shop. I love the smaller footprint when working on narrow projects. But whoever decided to make the chains this short, should be slapped.

Checked them out on YouTube & reviews. Only complaints were about the chain attached to pin which I replaced with a longer dog choke chain.. Works great

Decided to order two of these so I could freely move my front drive shaft on my LX570 so I could more easily access the spider joint. They are very sturdy and it’s great that they have their own built in jack, safety catch, and release.

The release (lowering) is nice and gentle. Would definitely recommend this product.

It’s the ultimate piece of equipment for me to carry with my job. With the combination jack & jack stand , it’s safe , saves space , and very suited for the job that I do. It not only works on the trailers I pull , it also works on my truck.

I carry a pair with me whenever I’m pulling my two axle 10K trailer. I really appreciate their light weight. I put them under the rear-most stake pockets to keep the front of the trailer from raising when loading and unloading my tractor.

The jacks really reduce the “adventure” of driving on and off the trailer; especially when I have to do so on my gently sloped road at my property. I’ve also used them while replacing the brakes on my ATV making that chore nice, safe, and stable!.

Obviously, I didn’t max these out. and frankly I WAS nervous about them; being my first aluminum set, my wonky un-level driveway. (my suspension/tires being completely out of the equation lol, as I tackle it solo) but they didn’t so much as creek 😏 I did notice/appreciate the quality of the contact pad/plate; it fit nicely even on my narrow frame, as well as the seemingly convenient to access/operate release arm.

Full, secure support even when accidentally started with poor positioning. Jsyk: The shaft didn’t ’stick’ when released like some do. but that will probably just take some more grime. I’ll have an eye out for more from this manufacturer.

Good for price. Good welds and decent lever. I would feel safer with these then the lowe end ones. Very good advance diy type prob even pro starter.

Title says “. Jack Stand”. It is a pair a pair of jack stands as shown. These are very solid. The locking pin makes them much safer as well. I have a 04 GMC 1500 truck that has a three inch lift and they are tall enough to hold my truck up safely without using the full travel of the lift arm.

The package came as tho the box was wrung through a dryer! The jack has worked out great so far. Lifted two of the three vehicles I have no problem (I haven’t tried the third yet) I’m not anticipating any problems tho.

The stands seem ok. Don’t want to comment quite yet as I haven’t needed them to actually hold a vehicle up. More as support. They do seem very sturdy tho. My three star and main complaint comes from the creeper.

One: it seems ok but more of an after thought. Buuuut, two: this is my main concern. So like I said the box came looking rough. The creeper took the brunt of the damage as it came ripped and ratty. Literal rips in the fabric and scratch marks.

That is disappointing.

Good solid jack stands. The design of the post doesnt allow for the lock tab to be bent in. With post all the way down and you bend the tab in then you cant raise it. I had to grind a path to let the tab pass.

I bought two sets of these to put up my 68 Camaro for the winter. These are a great quality and definitely good buy. I will buy these again and again if I needed some more.

Replaced my normal car jack stands with these to hold my race cars up. They give me plenty of room under it to work on my car and I don’t have to worry about the car moving or falling of the jack stand.

Everyone racing or not that works on cars should have a set.

great jack stand set. We did add a piece of rubber to the top of the stand to prevent the chassis from sliding around on the stand

Iv been doing mechanic for over 30 yrs and haven’t seen any thing like them I played with about every Jack stand out there as I like to play safe finally I have no more worries of getting under a car now it’s all about stability for me and these are them I use them for my mobile mechanics service as I know I’ll be home at the end of the day no sales pitch but thanks speedway cris from Canada.

Well made jack stands welded joints solid. Painted to last. Steel thickness was heavy duty along with casting center lift bar. Giving a weight per stand of 5. 5 pounds. Price for #2 was amazingly reasonable.

Nice and sturdy. Well built and locks are very durable. Comes with 2 individual stands which is also nice. All in all, good brand, good price and great quality.
