20 Best Item For Base Parts (2023 Updated)

Simpson’s 6×6 post bases, were too small for my 6×6 posts, making them absolutely worthless to me. Don’t even think about purchasing these, you will regret it.

Should work perfect for holding a 6×6 post up off concrete. Heavy guage metal. Galvanized type steel.

This looks to be a superior product for dry-securing a vertical 6×6 post to a concrete pier or footing, but I was disappointed that the 5/8″ rebar in the description was not included. Item depth is specified as 14.

38″ which seems to indicate it comes with the rebar but it did not, and since I now have to go buy a 5/8″ threaded anchor bolt separately, I feel the depth figure is misleading. I’ll give the product 4 stars as it seems well designed for the purpose, but buyer beware of the missing anchor.

It would be nice if Home Depot would revise this product’s web description to make it clear that 5/8″ rebar is not included.

I purchased 2 of these ram ball and installed them on my motorcycle dash. It fits nicely under my windshield of my Honda ST1300. I’m able to put a phone on one side and a GPS on the other side. I don’t think they’ll catch a lot of water from the rain in this location.

It doesn’t mount well on curvy surfaces, but I made it work. I still have a good view of the road in this location. It has plenty of mount holes and it didn’t come with screws.

I can’t say enough good things about RAM and their products. Excellent design, extremely durable, reliable, simple to use, and customizable. I have a canoe, boat, float tubes, and a kayak. ALL have been fitted with ram mounts and I am easily able to move my fishing electronics from vessel to vessel with easy and simplicity.

They offer superior performance to any similar style mount system available, I would choose RAM over anything else in a heartbeat.

Got this to use with a wet/dry vac that fits on top of a standard 5gal. utility bucket, to make it more stable-works great for that; it would be nice if you had a choice of colors though-looks funny with a white base, blue bucket & black vac; thought about painting it, but as it’s flexible the paint would probably flake off.

This is a rubber base for a 3-5 gallon bucket. It is not made out of the same polypropylene material buckets are made of – but a flexible rubber. A bucket fits snugly in the rubber and won’t fall off while being carried, and the rubber is non marring, so this product is good for protecting finished floors from being scratched by a bucket.

And the rubber is good quality and will likely be durable. It also has three screw holes for attaching the base to the floor. But in this function it bears pointing out that the rubber base will be more difficult to clean than the polypropylene bucket, not only because of the difference in material, but because of the oval cutouts around the rim of the base.

So less than ideal as a base for a bucket being used as a compost toilet or other fixed use purposes. So at the $13 or so i paid for it (with shipping) its a good value as a protective base.

I convert Lowes buckets into “Bety” buckets. Since these buckets are light, they tend to slide around the back of the boat. Or worse fly out if I forget to add water. So I decided to try this product.

Although it is a little pricey for me, it is well worth the addition. Fits great and adds weight thus lowering the center of gravity. Plus when I move the bucket to the car I know it is less likely to tip.

The base plate has eight radial gussets on the underside around the post. Once you drill the hole for the post, you have to do additional material removal/tapering around the hole to clear the gussets so the plate will bolt down flat to the deck.

A real PITA,.

This base is made by Leopard, not Attwood. It is a knock off of the real Lock N’Pin Attwood product and it shows. The seat wobbles significantly. The matching seat pin is also made by Leopard. not Attwood.

Taking both items back.

Bought these to replace mounts on an older pontoon. Also have the same base mounts in my bass boat. Only downside is the nylon insert. All my other mounts have bronze. Looked to find bronze inserts to replace the nylon, and they’re as expensive as the entire new mount.

Just have to see how well the nylon holds up. I could not find a 7×7 mount with bronze, so this is it.

Not a great product. It’s very lightweight and screw to keep umbrella in place doesn’t tighten enough to keep umbrella from spinning in a light wind when umbrella is out. Also traps rain water in the hole where umbrella goes so collects nasty water throughout season and then holder is full of disgusting black old rainwater at end of season.

We filled it with water, it recommends sand or water, and it was not heavy enough – it moved very easily. Probably would not recommend this, overall.

The bottom steel plate rusted through in two weeks. It stained the concrete. I had a power washing Co try to remove the stain. No luck. The metal is too cheap. I have since placed a neoprene square under the metal plate.

The base still rusts but at least the pool decking doesn’t suffer.

Incredibly easy to put together. The base is much wider than I expected and much more stable than a similar one that I had. I especially like the metal pipe for the umbrella pole and this contributes to the stability of the umbrella.

Using water to fill currently but plan on switching to sand as that will give more weight to the base. I would definitely recommend this product.

These mounts are subject to a lot of sideways torque. The previous USA-made versions were thick enough to withstand the forces from use. They would last indefinitely. The mounts on my 1987 trailer table have never been replaced.

What’s available now seems laughably thin. Just thick enough to survive the 90-day warranty period? I would gladly pay more for a well-made mount. But all that seems to be available now is this flimsy Chinese stuff.

I mixed some polyurethane construction adhesive with sawdust and stuffed it into the interior. I’m hoping this strengthens it enough to do the job.

I did a lot of reading and some had mentioned the overly lightweight construction but I agree with some others that had pointed out that these being for travel trailer dinettes are made to purpose. Think about it.

At the extreme I could use a heavy duty cast iron base which is so well attached that when I accidentally lean heavy into this table, the base holds tight and all the screws rip out of the wood! I recommend buying 2 even if you only need one.

I realized while replacing the obviously broken one, that the other was damaged too, just not as visibly. Works exactly as it is supposed to.

Ok folks, I read reviews before I purchased. Im saw complaints about durability. Its for a camper folks. Do you really want these made from cast iron or tool steel? I prefer the breakable versions that leave the floor underneath intact if someone leans on it too hard.

These were a perfect fit and it took about 10 minutes to replace both base pieces and one on the table. These are clearly marked made in China. They were easy on price and fixed me up with minimal aggravation.

Bought this to replace the bow mount on my 2015 RT188. worked great. The ONLY issue is the pedestal doesn’t screw in all the way and is a B to remove. Has about a 1/4″ gap between the bottom of the pedestal and the mount.

It’s not stripped so I’m guessing it’s something to do with the nut that is welded onto the mount. But I fished out of it and there is not wobble and I believe it’s far enough in to be OK. For the price I consider it a good product.

Heavy duty threaded base! Works perfect even with the lock n pin pedestal. Exactly what I was needing and it is sturdy with the pedestal.

The threaded pedestal base by Swivl-Eze is a very good product. I have been using these for years. The only issue I have had with them is the black insert is a bit tight. I remedy this with a 3/4″ drill bit.

My sweet granddaughter’s other grandma was able to buy a used Baby Trend Car Seat at a yard sale, which came with 2 seat bases. With 2 sets of grandparents and several cars that will be toting this baby around, 2 bases would not be enough.

I was able to call the customer service of the car seat manufacturer and asked about possibly purchasing an additional seat base for this model car seat that my granddaughter has. The CSR at the Baby Trend Co.

told me Target carried the base and I would be able to purchase one through them. I was thrilled. I went online, found the item, purchased it and received it in less than a week! The item came in good time and in good condition and works perfectly.

I have a three month old and we needed an xtra base for the grandparents. This base is very sturdy even if the height needs adjusted. If you take the time to install it right there is no problem. Something as delicate as a newborn deserves the time spent on making sure they have proper installion of this product.

This was purchased as a gift for my brother as a backup base for their other vehicle. It works perfectly so they don’t have to swap out the entire seat and base when they change out vehicles.

I am not a Gundam fan but I do appreciate useful things such as this display base that can be used for other model subjects. I had been in search of a suitable display base for science fiction model flying saucer and the Bandai display base is exactly what I was looking for.

Something industrial looking but not too silly in appearance which Bandai provides with this product. The one thing I found overwhelming was the abundance of specialized parts for allowing support and display of a Gundam model for which this product is intended.

Some of these items are quite useful for other what-if modelling projects so I was glad to add these to my spare parts box.

Their Packaging is a Joke (Box was filled side to side with just enough space for ONE sheet of bubble-wrap at the very top), they Advertise their Private warehouse with such pride but blamed literally everyone else in the process from the Post office to the Customer (me) for this when I contacted them.

This Product along with many other Items were BROKEN because of it. Unprofessional Staff, Private Warehouse is a scam and you’re better off burning your wallet than getting anything from this place.

The stand itself is massive compared to other (older) stands Bandai produced. It shouldn’t have any problem holding up most of Bandai’s kits.

One nice thing about these is that we were able to let both of my sons’ baseball coaches’ use these at the schools for practices. They really appreciated borrowing them so the kids could see where to run next.

Another nice thing is the pitchers plate (some sets don’t have these) so the kids know where to stand and stay on their mark. The biggest down side to these bases is that they are very flimsy and thin.

I wish they were a bit thicker but they do okay for playing in the back yard with the kids. Before we used wood or plastic plates as our bases and the kids and I like these a lot more. Much easier to see.

Overall, happy to have found these!.

Larger than I expected, but they seem to be real base sizes rather than toys. Rubber is of high quality and heavy duty. Will take some abuse. Great for throwing around the yard for family games! Great value for the price.

I got these bases for everyday use around the house for my 8 and 10 year old boys. We tend to have kids over a lot, and always use rocks, sweatshirts, or sticks for bases. It never ocurred to me to get bases, but noticed them during Christmas shopping.

WOW! When they arrived, I couldn’t believe how heavy they were! In a GOOD way!! I am sure they will work out great! I paid $8 and still can’t believe the quality! I will probably order more to give to the boys’ friends on their birthdays to snazz up a gift card!.

Don’t think you can have cheap and cheerful Ram Mounts are solid, they fit together on a simple principle and they’re use and purpose extends to many diverse area’s. Imitation may well be a form of flattery from outsourcing in this case buy once, buy right and you will not regret it.

Lifetime warranty sounds good to me. Happy customer.

It’s the weak link in my order. It’s stuck down well… BUT Due to it no stiff construction it wobbles like made. If I ordered again would go a ridged one and use 3M tape

Great and flexible mounting base for your RAM mount needs. Utilized for a cellphone RAM mount on an irregular dash surface (smooth but irregular). Worked great. Do not try to adhere to any rough dash surface, however.

Overall, very pleased with this mount base.

When I bought my double arm repair stand, I was having trouble deciding whether just to bolt the stand to my shop floor, or buying the base. The base has a pretty hefty price tag, but I am now very glad that I bought it.

The base is very very heavy. It arrives in a flat cardboard box that doesn’t look like it would be that big of deal to carry, but don’t make the mistake of forgetting to lift with your legs, as you will regret it! The things that I like about this base are: 1) it is not very thick, so it is not a trip hazard; 2) it has a big foot print, so once it is bolted to the repair stand, the stand becomes very stable, even with two bikes; and 3) it is moveable, although with some effort.

Being moveable is a big plus, as even though it is very stable and very heavy, you can tilt it by leveraging with the repair stand, and then move it without having to lift it. In my case, that was a big advantage as I wanted to play around with the distance I wanted it from my work bench, and so it made fine tuning the distance easy, which would have been very difficult to do if I had bolted it to the floor.

So although the base is expensive, it is worth the money. As a side note, you may want to glue some outdoor carpet to the bottom. I have a concrete painted floor in my shop, and so it slides fine without the carpet, but a piece of indoor carpet would probably help save getting a scratch in your floor surface if you are concerned about that.

I chose this base because it does not require drilling holes the garage floor and makes the stand mobile. The placement of the mounting holes makes the attached repair stand very stable. My only issue is that the assembly documentation to attach the base to the repair stand could have been more clear.

It should be stated up front which side is top and which faces the floor (may not be obvious to all) It should also be stated that if you don’t have something to support the plate giving access to both sides it’s a 2 person job.

Fortunately I have a hand truck with a 2nd pair of small wheels. I was able to lay it down and support the plate when slid to one side. Separate point. I’ve assembled a number of Park Tool products and found it difficult.

Specifically the instructions contain assembly instructions for pieces that are already pre assembled. My real peeve is a piece paper with instructions on one side and the parts listing on the other side.

I will keep this simple. I was in the market for an adjustable base for the reason of wanting to be more comfortable while watching television in bed. I thought the price point was absolutely reasonable being that I caught it during the Memorial sale period.

The delivery and setup went without a hitch. The base is seemingly quiet when in operation and goes up and down smoothly and with ease. The remote is battery operated and very easy to use. The base feels sturdy when I climb in and out of bed.

It fit in my existing king size bed frame like a glove. I gave the unit 4 stars instead of 5 because my only cons are that I wish the head portion was a bit smaller divided like the foot section. When the bed is in the raised portion a great deal of the mattress rises making it difficult to grab things (water, glasses, etc.

) from my nightstand. I literally have to reach around the bed to get what I need or lower the bed some. Also, when raising the head portion you have to ensure that you are away from the headboard enough for the unit to operate; otherwise it won’t raise.

Other than that I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this base to any family or friend. I’ve had it almost a week but so far so good. I will post an update in about a month or so.

I used this mount to attach my PowerVision to my Harley during autotune. Works great. 1″ ball size is small enough to he non intrusive, but still provide a secure enough grasp to handle small electronic devices.

Probably need a bigger ball for a tablet, but this works great for my needs.

No issues with this item. I just wish I had screw hole details before I bought it, or it comes with a couple of suitable screws. Considering what it is typically used for (mounting equipment with the square mount holes), the screws typically used could be included.

Great bit of gear, worked perfectly to mount my Garmin Montana mount to my motorbike handlebar.

Takes moments to install, and moments to uninstall and adjust if you didn’t get it quite right the first time (I. e. the leveling bubble doesn’t cross the indicator line). The LATCH system requires a little muscle if your car’s upholstery gets in the way of the connection, but I like that the entire base snaps into position with one motion.

I haven’t tried attaching it with a belt, but it seems easy enough to understand and everything is well-labeled with helpful diagrams on the base. My only complaint is that the support leg takes up valuable real estate in the floor board when we have to pack the car for road trips.

It also makes it impossible for my older daughter to slide by the infant seat base to get to her car seat when I’m trying to load everyone and everything into the same side of the car. This base is also *heavy*, but that’s what allows the seat/carrier to be the lightest on the market.

I know that the three-legged bases have been tested as being safer and I do appreciate that this was the base included for our Nuna Pipa. I think any parent would rate any base lower because there is room to question if you installed it right.

Yes, the green checks and level indicator are great features BUT it is hard to see if the leg is green once installed. We had to use our phones for light and camera to see if the leg was in the green section.

Overall very easy to install using the Latch system. Two clicks and then checking the leg. I also liked how there is an incline feature that you can flip out of the bottom. By using this feature, we were able to get the level in the center on the first try.

Overall, great product and I love this brand.

I’m very happy with the Nuna Pipa Lite LX car seat base. I purchased this additional base for my car so we didn’t have to keep switching it between cars or just using one car for pick ups. The base is well made and exactly the same as the base we received when we were gifted the Nuna Pipa Lite LX car seat.

My husband installed without an issue. I would highly recommend getting a second base if you use two cars. Great product!.

There is nothing better!! Nothing, I promise. I have no need for those gross little cubes of fake broth or powder packets. This taste home made, ever flavor, every time. Making rice? Use this with the water.

Making soup, you’ll never go back. Steaming/poaching fish, ohh yaa. Pasta sauces, sure. Casserole, yup that too. Anywhere you would use plain water you can boost the flavor and add complexity. Just watch the salt content.

It needs the high salt content, but if you accidentally used too much you’ll know it and you can’t blame the bullion for that. That would be user error. If you are a no salt kind of person they do make a low sodium version as well.

I am a die-hard fan of Better Than Bouillion beef and chicken bases. Not ony are they absolutely delicious – much better than any boxed broth or bouillion cube – but they are far more economical. At Target in my neighborhood, Chicken Better Than Bouillon costs $4.

99 for an 8 oz. jar which makes 9. 5 quarts of broth. Thats 53 cents a quart! At the same Target, A quart of Swanson in a box costs $2. 99 and a quart of the Target brand Good and Gather costs $1. 79! The Swanson is almost 6 times more expensive and the Good and Gather is over 3 times more expensive.

To say nothing of storage space. 9. 5 quarts of boxed broth will take up a lot more space in your pantry than one 8 oz. jar of Better Than Bouillion. I rest my case!.

Generally, this is excellent bouillon. Unfortunately, the two jars delivered to me two days ago are inferior. After opening the first jar, it appeared darker than usual smelled “off” and had little chunks throughout the mixture.

Opened the second jar which still didn’t smell like the BTB product I’ve purchased for years. Tried making my usual gravy from the second jar; it came out horribly! Dates on both jars are good for another year and one half.

Suspect they were stored in an overheated area for too long and the batches got compromised.

Let me get one thing straight. I am a huge LEGO Jurassic World fan. Like, I have around ten sets and about a thousand extra pieces built into my version of the Jurassic World park. This baseplate helped me get the main street part to work great.

Otherwise, stuff would fall over, and I can also have unbalanced builds, like zip lines, feeders, and catwalks, over exhibits. We also use them to make stop motion movies and speed builds, and have made some cool ones in our house, with themes such as LEGO Friends, Jurassic World, City, Harry Potter, and several others.

The figures can hold tightly, and even though the baseplates are thin and floppy, they will hold a lot of unbalanced weight before falling over. The mostly flat bottom will help attach to a table or desk with rubber cement.

However, it does not attach to other plates or bricks on the bottom, which is fine for me, as I don’t know of any times I’d need this higher that I couldn’t use other objects to move it higher, but I know that some people will wish to do so.

As I mentioned, the bottom is mostly flat, except for divots, the inside of studs, that are left hollow, further reducing the price. Since regular plates take about $150 to cover the same area, I happy with this price.

I found it on a sale, but would have paid for the non-sale price too. Overall, this is an amazing purchase, that any LEGO fan should buy.

TL;DR – very flimsy baseplate. Not sturdy type like regular LEGO. I’ve never had LEGO baseplate before. Got a table like a smaller version of the LEGO MOVIE (I). Much smaller version. So I was expecting it to be very sturdy, especially since my kids were like, regular kids – rough with toys.

This baseplate, unfortunately, was very flimsy. It bended easily with minimal force, and when it was shipped in a bubble envelope, I thought that it was a book that I’ve ordered. Anyhow, if you grabbed it in a horizontal position, you could see it bend in its own light weight.

It’s about 1/16 inch thick and not made of those tough LEGO plastics. Good for adults or older kids, but not for little kids (for rough handling).

This baseplate is what I grew up with. Note that the bottom is flat and cannot build on top of other studs. I really don’t mind how flexible it is because you’re not building with it, just on top of it.

This piece is ESSENTIAL for all Lego builders. And you can never get enough. BUT: Lego, please offer 2-packs (Blue and Green, White and Grey), and lower the price of the grey piece. Also I’m a fan of the Road baseplates but not the offering or the price.

Listen to your customers and offer 2-packs of 2 straight, 2 curved, 2 T, and 2 4-way intersections. You have to understand that when you place two crosswalks beside each other they look stupid. Take a piece of paper and cut little squares then sketch out the current offerings to make a 6 to 8 baseplate design.

It’s crazy-expensive to buy them in these offerings and still make your city look organised. OR, do a 3-pack with 2 straight and 1 single 4-way, or do a 4-pack with 4 curves. Please play around with the offerings and tell me it’s fair for Lego fans because I’ll tell you, it’$ not.

The occasional T-intersection is perfect for a firehall or a hospital, but having too many makes for a janky looking city and I refuse to buy the roads for this reason. Also they don’t have enough studs on them to make them the same price as the regular baseplates.

Add some connector pieces (A bench, anything) to increase the value and make some Lego fans happy. For a decorative piece (road vs 32×32 stud baseplate) it’s not worth the money, but the baseplates could come in 2-packs and take off a dollar or two; you’ll sell more of these.

Terrible craftsmanship. My 6 year old would have made a better product. Post from seat fits loosely in hole and wobbles. If I wouldn’t have spent time making the product more attractive I would have sent back.

Wholesale Marine is a fantastic company but this product fails.

Bought this to add another seat base to the front deck of my Lowe Stinger ST188. Great product with typical Springfield quality materials and finish. Took me about thirty minutes to install. I will only use Springfield Marine seat bases and pedestals in any boat I own.

Springfield products fit perfectly together, sounds obvious till you see other products that aren’t. Installation of the plate was easy. Looks great and feels even better when I’m sitting on the lake in comfort doing what I love to do.

I ordered this glass rack specifically because of its larger capacity and customized color. These racks allow me to easily determine what kinds and how many glasses they are holding. I was concerned about their size since my wine glass of choice happens to have the same listed diameter as the max diameter of the individual compartments.

They fit in the racks perfectly.
