I really wanted to hate these because the ingredients are not the best haha. Alas. I could not 😔 This brand is honestly the best meat sub I have ever had. These sausages are 🔥🔥🔥 along with their burgers breakfast patties.

I do buy these on occasion, or when on sale (pretty pricey products) which is ok, since they are not healthy to eat often But overall if the health aspect doesn’t bug you. I would DEFINITELY try their line of foods.

Cooked these and grilled veggies on the BBQ tonight. They were so good. They are the best plant based sausages I have tried (the other ones were kinda like a cardboard texture and not as tasty). They BBQ nicely and are like the real thing.

Juicy like a sausage that drips and the flames go up. I went vegan in January and don’t regret it. I’m looking forward to trying this brands burgers.

As a vegan of 6 years, this is my favorite fake meat product by far. To me, it is indistinguishable from real meat, and my meat eating friends all love it as well. It has the perfect amount of spice/flavor, and is easy to cook.

It does not cook like real meat though so make sure to not overcook it or else it will become very tough. It is great in buns, in pastas and sauces, in sheet pan meals. Highly recommend!!!.

So versatile for pasta. I’m not vegetarian but I’ve never been a fan of meatballs. These are incredible ingredients and the nutrient profile exceeds my expectations from a vegetarian substitute, with adequate protein.

I usually make with a high protein pasta but they’re amazing also with ravioli, flour noodles, vegetable or gluten free noodles. I make these several times a week they’re a staple and packed with veggies and fiber too.

I make on the stove top in a sauté and they are fast to cook in under 10 minutes, I can meal prep a variety of dishes for the week. Amazing in spaghetti dishes, cream sauces, buttered noodles, and more.

I’m a huge fan of Field Roast products simply because the ingredients are recognizable! I like the texture and taste of these sausages. And I love how they’re individually wrapped. That way I don’t have to cook all of them at once.

And what is left over lasts in the refrigerator without going back quickly. Typically I sauté these with onions and peppers and add it to some pasta. They can be a bit on the salty side so don’t add too much salt when cooking.

These are tasty and easy to prepare! They work great as a sausage on a bun meal and at BBQs. But they are also great in casseroles, pasta and rice dishes etc. They are an excellent sub for meat sausages that are part of the meat industries violent filled, unhealthy, and damaging to the planet products.

Why go through all the trouble to make a delicious chicken sausage and then stuff it into a pork casing? Seriously, I do not understand the logic behind the dozens of manufacturers who insist on ruining their sausage and limiting their consumer base by putting otherwise edible sausage into pig intestines.

These tasted so good but they had HUGE chunks of ?? gristle? hardened fat? tendons?? not sure but literally couldn’t chew it. i sliced these up and put them in some jumbalaya so you could easily see the spots in the sausage.

I would expect that from a bratwurst or something like that but not a sausage made from chicken claiming to not have the bad stuff in it. I really liked the flavor of these so that sucks!.

This Italian style sausage is amazing! I love that it is actually chicken and not pork. I love the fact that there are no nitrates, no MSG, gluten free and the chickens are raised without any added hormones.

I highly recommend the Italian style which has mozzarella cheese in it.

I’ve tried this twice now, and both times it has had a noticeable bitter aftertaste that just really doesn’t go with the rest of the flavor, with salame expectations. This is supposed to be a semi-premium brand, and a lot of their stuff is good, but this is not one of their best products by any means.

It also seems excessively fatty. Sure, salame in any form (even “lite”) contains a lot of fat, and it’s visible, but this seems like it’s more fat than meat, or close to it. I just ordered this from Amazon Fresh as a replacement, because my usual brand was sold out.

Next time I’ll wait. Texture-wise, it’s just fine. Fairly thick cuts, and good for sandwiches or on crackers, if you end up liking the aftertaste. It’s just not for me.

This is a 42 oz. package of smoked sausage, (not beef), and it has to be the best there is out there, even better then any other Hillshire sausage there is for sale. Why? The casing is a firm, crisp snap when biting into it, unlike any other sausage this casing is the best.

The ingredients inside are blended to be just perfect in taste compared to any other sausage out there. The price is only $8. 46 and it seems like once it is stocked it stays sold out before any other sausage.

Matter of fact, this is not even on their website, only the beef sausage is and that is also 42 oz and a dollar or two higher then this is. When this is in stock I buy enough to last the whole month, every month and keep in freezer till needed.

Try this sausage and you will notice the taste and you will be hooked. The problem is first finding it for sale, 42 oz. package $8. 46 and I believe Walmart is the only store that sells it and it is not even on their website for sale but it is in stock in the stores.

We are lifelong Kielbasa and Smoked Sausage enthusiasts. We have cooked a multitude of brands in many, many ways. This product did not measure up to our standards. Bland: My husband and I were nibbling on the smoked sausage as I was cutting it up.

We both decided that is was quite bland and flavorless. Fatty: When pan frying, I add the sausage to a large, dry pan (meaning no extra oil or butter was added). In my experience with other brands, the sausage gets a nice browning and just a little fat is rendered.

This product rendered so much fat so quickly that the sausage pieces were almost submerged. No browning was possible. Salty: I removed the sausage from the pan before continuing with the dish since there was such a large amount fat rendered and my husband immediately tasted the meat.

He nearly choked it was so salty. I tasted it as well and found he was right. I have never tasted anything as salty as that. I added no more salt to the rest of the recipe. I did not even salt my pasta water in an effort to reduce the saltiness.

The efforts helped, but the finished dish was still too salty. and that was all simply because of the level of salt in the meat. MSG: This product contains MSG. I did not realize that or I probably would not have bought this product to begin with.

I am of the firm belief that if a manufacturer cannot make their product taste good without adding MSG, then they should not be making it at all. Taste/Texture: Ironically, adding MSG did nothing to enhance the flavor of the product.

As stated before, the meat was incredibly salty and that was all we tasted. As for the texture, the meat was mushy and did not have a pleasant mouth feel. Summation: I will never purchase another Hillshire Farm product again.

I would never recommend Hillshire Farm products to family or friends.

My household does not eat pork. Unfortunately, we were given a sausage that has pork in it. I attempted to do a return but the link stated there is an issue. I guess I will have to give it to a neighbor.

I do understand they are trying to give the best service but if a person requests beef only, turkey only, or chicken only meat products. Pleeeeeaaaase by all means, try not to substitute those “meat only requests” bc some people just do not eat anything other.

The absolute tastiest soprasada I’ve had since I visited Spain. A thin piece of toast cut and spread the soprasada and toast lightly and you have delicious appetizers or lunch! I’m looking forward to adding it to my recipes for extra flavor.

Great sobrasada, really accurate recipe like sobrasada from mallorca. Perfect to use with your favourite tapas recipes, as a pate spreading on a toast, or cut a slice of sobrasada and put it on the top of an egg while you are frying it.

It’ll add an incredible flavor to your sunny side up eggs.

Worth to try tris product but still need to improve flavor and softnes. Maybe you should import some batches of the black mallorquin sobrasada

There is something wrong with these. Horrible flavor. Thick sodium aftertaste covers your tongue. The sodium flavor is extremely strong!!! I do not recommend this product. I threw these away and received a refund.

I will not purchase this item again.

I have used johnsonville , italian sausage since I was a kid , 35 years or so. Been a huge supporter of the flavor of the mild , I found your sweet Italian sausage a few years ago at my local grocery store and gave it a try , fell in love with it ! Used it for everything ! Used to buy 8 -10 packs and keep them in my freezer , always had it on hand , recently I thought I purchased a bad batch , maybe the store let it warm and then rerefridgerated , not sure but it was horrible , ruined my sauce ! Totally overwhelmed the flavor in everything.

Threw it all out. Started again. New packs of sausage , a lite sauce and same thing. Emptied my stock of sausage into the trash , 3 more attempts made , same outcome. I changed 2 different stores. Same , I just used a new store , never let it touch a freezer and cooked it on the stove , horrible ! I’m really disappointed ! I will not be purchasing anymore johnsonville products , I’ve donated enough money and time trying to find out what was wrong ! And it was the sausage itself ! If you changed the recipe, I’m really really sad about this and hope I find a replacement.

I bought the last package of these in the store, thinking they would either be just OK or really bad. They are really good! This may be our new favorite sausage. The seasoning is perfect, and the sausage consistency is excellent.

Decided to try cauliflower pizza, and was very disappointed. Opened the box and pizza looks like someone forgot to finish adding sauce, vegetables and meat. You can see the crust through the sauce, they might be using 2 Tbs.

of the sauce on the crust, maybe 1 tsp. of onion and 1/2 tsp. of pepper, 1 Tbs. of cheese and about 4 pieces of sausage. That pizza should be sold for the kids, not for an adults. Pizza crust does not taste like cauliflower at all, taste more like regular sweet crust, so tasteless and flavorless.

I do not understand where are the calories coming from, it is almost no ingredients, even if you are on the diet, do not waist your money.

I was surprised and thrilled at how delicious this pizza was. Italian sausage and pepper is one of my favorite pizza versions so I had to give it a try. Cauliflower often has a strong taste that is hard to mask but I did not detect even a hint of cauliflower.

I am also picky about textures and nothing was off about the texture of this crust – it was just like traditional pizza. I’m so glad Walmart is carrying healthier versions of the foods that I love! While this pizza isn’t lower carb, it has extra veggies and better ingredients than other pizzas.

Now if only they’d carry Banza pizza too, I’d be thrilled!.

Ever since I learned I had a gluten intolerance, I’ve searched for a pizza that could “bring it!” When it came to taste, texture and yumminess. Every one I tried let me down until I found Caulipower! I honestly was expecting much when I bought it because I’d been let down so much.

My initial opinion changed as I took it out of the oven. With my curiosity peaked and some hope back for my most favorite food I took a bite. That sealed the deal!!! My mouth was awash with complex flavors and the texture was what it should be.

I have stopped looking. For me Caulipower has set the threshold at an Olympic level…. And frankly I stopped looking. Why bother when you’ve found this level of goodness.

I truly love Johnsonville Italian sausages are so easy to cook and delicious. I cook the sausages in a bit of water then fry them in olive oil until browned I remove the sausages and sauté red, yellow and orange Peppers and a sliced Vidala onion with salt and pepper.

When they are close to tender I add the sausages and finish cooking it all together. At the same time I will be cooking long grain white rice that I will later serve with the sausages and peppers over rice.

It is delicious.

I’m very picky about Italian sausage. My Italian father in law used to buy his sausage from a small place in Dallas. It was fantastic. Since then I’ve tried nearly every brand and also the sausage made by almost every Italian deli I run across.

Most are either over ground or lacking enough fenal or something. Ive found that the Johnsonville hot sausage is the closest to what my father in law used to buy with the right proportions of ingredients.

I have been on Keto for the past 3 years and Johnsonville Hot Sausages are my savior. It is something that I can throw into a pan and add almost anything and know it will be super tasty. Having been on Keto for so many years, I can tell you that I have eaten pretty much every brand out there who makes spicy Italian sausage and I seriously can tell a massive difference in taste and quality in Johnsonville vs all the others.

It tastes better, fresher and in those other brands I feel like I get a lot of what I call knuckles and elbows. Not once have I encountered a weird texture. I am literally about to make something right now.

The pork sausage is made with mild Italian spices. I have removed the pork from the skins and used the ground pork in my lasagna and my spaghetti sauce when I want to add that extra bit of flavor to my Italian cuisine.

I like that the package comes with directions for cooking as well as nutritive value. They are quite high in Sodim, cholesterol and saturated fat, however; I figure if I have them occasionally I am not doing my body any harm.

I also like that Johnsonville is a name that you can trust to give you a quality product. I like that there are so many side dishes that go well with Johnsonville Italian Mild Sausages. I have even been kind enough to share with my pooches who also adore Johnsonville Italian Mild Sausage.

I would recommend Johnsonville Mild Italian Sausages to any meat eater that enjoys a juicy flavorful Sausage.

This is the only brand of Italian sausage I will buy. It’s is packed with delicious flavor. I was having trouble getting my hands on it during pandemic and tried my stores brand. I was amazed at huge difference.

Nothing like the taste of home in Wisconsin. Boil it in a pot of beer and water. When it’s been boiled for a while it’s perfect to pop on the grill for that smoky delicious flavor of being cooked on the grill.

Watch it closely as you don’t want to burn the brat. You want that browned cooked brat but not cooked so much it burst it’s skin. You want all those delicious juices for when you bite into that brat.

We use this when making gravy for biscuits and gravy. It hads a beautiful savory flavue to the gravy that keeps it from being boring or bland. We also like to cook it up then scamble eggs with the sausge in it.

Such an easy yet flavorful meal.

This sweet Italian sausage is excellent! It’s full of the fennel flavor you associate with an Italian sausage and is so tasty. It’s great out of the casing and put it in tomato sauce and serve over pasta or in lasagna or any baked pasta.

The closest I’ve found, off the shelf to the fresh ground Italian sausage I ordered from the butcher years ago. The Pandemic has really impacted Sausage production & I have been unable to purchase Italian Sausage from any company at any of my local stores in nearly a year.

I am hoping that changes. I tend to mix it 1 sausage to 1 lean hamburger for Spaghetti or 1 sausage to 2 hamburger for Meatloaf, but I’ll use it straight up for additional pizza toppings, quiche, frittata, breakfast burritos or even biscuits & gravy.

Jimmy Deans maple sausage is THE BEST on the market. It is the only sausage i can get my kids to eat and pairs perfectly with biscuits and gravy, so much so that we wont eat it with any other kind of sausage.

I dont understand why it has been discontinued. Both in Florida and Georgia, they would fly off the shelves and you were lucky if you found it. So im not sure why you say it didn’t sell much. And even so, if the demand wasnt as high in certain areas, you could have cut back in just those stores, instead of taking it away from everyone, everywhere.

Or maybe advertise it? I see commercials for Jimmy Dean sausage all the time, but not sure Ive ever seen one for the maple. Ive eaten maple sausage since i was a kid, and i fell in love with it. The taste just feels like home to me.

And based on these comments, im definitely not the only one! Please reconsider bringing back your maple sausage!! We miss it so much!!.

I’ve been a Jimmy Dean bulk Sausage consumer for years, usually breakfast patties, sometime as an ingredient. So the Wife brings home this Sage stuff for a recipe, doesn’t end up doing it so I’m using it for breakfast.

First problem you can’t make patties out of the stuff. It’s like ground beef that’s too lean, it brakes apart. When you try to ball it up to start the patty all kinds of liquid squeezes out. This is nothing like the perfect little patties you get from the regular sausage.

Second problem, I have never see so much Water or some kind of liquid cook out of a sausage patty. I had the entire pound broken up into eight really bad looking patties and there must have been a half cup of Water I had to cook off before the browning could begin.

And finally the flavor was undesirable, that’s all I can say. Wasn’t horrible, wasn’t good. Maybe this stuff works better as an ingredient, I don’t know. I will caveat this comment by saying that the use by date was two months ago.

But it was frozen the entire time. The wife does this all the time, brings it home and straight in the freezer until we want it. I have never before had an issue with Jimmy Dean that was past the use by date that had been frozen, never even given it a second thought.

I sure hope there’s no more of this in the freezer.

I I have never thought to write a review about a grocery store item before, but I just have to tell everyone: these sausages will make your life better. I’m not even on a specific kind of diet, I enjoy old fashioned sausage made out of pork.

But this sausage just hits on a whole other level. It’s SO flavorful. If you cook them right (med high in a frying pan or skillet with about 1. 5 cups if water), it’s everything good should be. I got the Caprese kind of by accident.

I tried the Apple Bourbon, which was amazing, so I went running back for that, but my store was out of it, so I took a chance with the Caprese. Caprese was just as good, but with a distinctly different flavor profile.

Now I’m just waiting to try the Aloha. That looks like it will be heaven on Earth to me. I’m sure the fig and feta packs a punch too. Whoever makes these just knows what they’re doing. Try them. You will not regret it.

This sausage is very good, it’s got a light texture and flavor, so it pairs well with a lot of dishes. Each sausage is individually wrapped, which is great, so you can easily use just one at a time if you want to.

I don’t like meat sauces, but I like this cut into smaller pieces and pan fried to give it a bit of a sear. Then I use it in baked ziti or on top of something like spinach ravioli.

Tasted better than I thought they would! The cheese oozes out as you bite into the sausage, it’s so good. Healthier than pork sausages and the taste is really good. I know they aren’t breakfast sausages but I had them for breakfast with eggs, grilled tomato and buttered baguette.

If you microwave this it becomes nothing but a soggy mess of dough, sauce and cheese and taste disgusting. I remember buying these years ago and they would include a silver microwave cooking plate to help crisp the bottom for microwave cooking, they don’t do this anymore, thus they shouldn’t even suggest on the box cooking in the microwave.

Maybe it taste better in the oven, but I won’t be buying again after a poor poor experience! Should have stuck with the personal Red Barron ones!.

Only acceptable if it’s cooked in the oven. Do not microwave. I miss the old version of Celeste. It was so good. This has some of the old taste which is why it gets two stars but it’s gummy in the microwave.

I grew up on Celeste and would love if they listened to bring the original receipt back as well as the family size.

The ONLY acceptable frozen pizza. Absolutely no arguments allowed. Celeste pizzas are the best. Zesty 4 Cheese is my favorite. I’ve put a few friends onto this one. Extremely flavorful and so so satisfying.

Jacks pizza has always been a must-keep in my freezer! They are super easy to throw in the oven without having to do any more work besides taking it out and cutting it. I’m pretty picky about my pizza because the crust for me has to be just right.

I don’t like card board feeling crust, and jack’s pizza has great crust! I usually never eat the crust on pizza because it’s super hard and crunchy but jack’s pizzas crust is never too crunchy! They’re supreme pizza is my favorite! Super tasty, affordable, and can feed a decent amount of people.

This is by far the worst pizza I have ever had the displeasure of tasting. I have, in my desperation for a decent meal, purchased a few different pizzas, and I feel very confident in saying none of my experiences were positive.

The sauce feels as though it lacks any flavor, the cheese fails to melt so awfully that I’m almost convinced its plastic, and the dough is either helplessly soggy or inedible because of how crispy it is.

Everything has this odd tinge to it, almost like its freezer burnt or just past its expiration. Though it may not be the products fault itself, I have terrible luck whenever I attempt to eat one of these disgraces to Italy and Italian culture: hardly 15 minutes ago i bit off a chunk of the flesh on my tongue while trying to chew through the stone that these people are okay with calling pizza dough.

I read the reviews and I don’t know what they got but no way are they for real! The Newman’s margherita pizza I got was horrible. The crust made a burning smell as soon as I put it in the oven, the crust was hard as a rock, the sauce tasted like condensed Campbell’s tomato soup, and the cheese would barely melt.

Eating this thing was like eating a grilled cheese sandwich that was dipped in cheap tomato soup and then bakes going horribly wrong. If Italy would find out what we are doing to their food they would declare war!.

I cook, so, even if I’m in the mood for pizza I’ll most often just make it. But I’m human. I have my lazy days. Especially with my work schedule. I love many Newmans products but this pizza is fantastic.

I’m a big fan of thin crust, and I really like this one. All the elements are great and the flavor is excellent. The crust is nice and crispy.

Just this evening my wife made meatball sandwiches with 2 pounds of this product mixed with a pound of ground turkey. Everyone had seconds on the meal, including kids ages 7, 5 and 1. The baby gobbled up the chopped up meatball and demanded more.

I actually had forgotten this was the Member’s Mark product, and thought this tasted just as good as Johnsonville sausage. Beyond that, the price is amazing for 2 pounds. At the local grocery store, if you can get Johnsonville on sale for 1 pound that’s uncommon.

I am looking forward to using this again in other dishes.

Ordered my sausage at Curb Side pickup. When I got home I saw that the meat was all brown & smelled sour. No expiration date! Threw it right in the garbage! Sams should be ashamed of themselves. They should teach the Employees to check expiration dates before selling it to the customers-but since there was no date you can truly see that the meat was Brown! This is very inconsiderate.

Good quality. Separate 1 pound packs are convenient. I usually use one and freeze the other for later. No repacking needed. Just toss in the freezer.

These have an odd taste, nothing Italian about them that I could tell and the texture is hard to describe. I’ll say the closest I can come is that it is similar to instant mashed potatoes without enough water.

I couldn’t eat an entire link and I can usually eat anything. I even made the mistake of buying two packages of them and I’m throwing away one unopened package and the three remaining ones from the other package too.

This is unheard of for me to throw food away, but these are that bad and I don’t want to take a chance they might make my dog sick.

My family uses these just right but not too spicy sausages in big rolls for 4th of July with trimmings (or any time), cut in coins with spaghetti, so good with eggs, goes with just about any sauteed veggies.

Top chili or Mexican beans with it, zings up the flavor. The ingredients are healthier than many veg meat alternatives, too. Vital wheat gluten and tofu are excellent protein sources Not super “processed”, no engineered ingredients.
