20 Best Iron Patches For Anemia (2023 Updated)

I can’t say lot about the patches yet as iron deficiency takes a long time to see if something is effective. Will update in about 4 months of use. The patches themselves seem to stay on my chest but almost immediately fall off the arm or anywhere there is movement.

The company however I’m not totally impressed with. I bought a full year package so I could get 2 day shipping. There website said that fulfillment takes 1-2 days. So it should have been at my place within 5 days.

I got it in more than 2 weeks. Not great when I placed a large order with the sole purpose of getting them fast.

I was needing a way to get iron quickly & easily, so I’m very glad I learned about Patch Aid. Bought these for my husband. His iron was low according to his doctor. The prescription iron made him sick. So I told him to try these patches instead. Worked perfectly and no side effects. Definitely recommend.

Adheres great IF directions followed. Be sure your material can withstand the heat of your iron set to cotton. Preheat your material and attach the patch. If the patch is larger than your iron, move the iron slowly while maintaining pressure from the center outward to the edges.

This adds months of use to your raggy Carhartts. If you apply from behind to repair a tear, lay the pants on wax paper first, so the glue doesn’t bond to the ironing surface.

Absolutely worthless. My long-time nutritionist suggested that I use these to supplement my calcium in addition to my normal 2000 mg of calcium citrate. My calcium and iron levels have crashed since I started using them to extremely dangerously low levels.

I’ve done some research and there’s no evidence that these things work. Just think about it: how can 1500 mg of calcium possibly fit onto this tiny piece of nearly- weightless tape? I don’t see any studies that prove that this is a legitimate way to absorb this much calcium or iron or, for that matter, any of the other things that are supposedly in this patch.

I would love to see some evidence that I’m wrong because this would be a dream come true for me, plus I invested in a year’s supply. I’ve never written a review of a health product before, but this has the potential to cause serious health issues and may have contributed to what’s going on with me.

I have labs from right before I started with these and from one month in. Scary.

I have a disease called Gastroparesis where my stomach does not empty properly or very slow emptying. The result is fermented food and hairball like rocks of undigested food can form and be deadly (his includes undigested pills and capsules).

Also, you do not get hungry and therefore eat very little resulting on poor nutrition. Since I began taking Patch Aid vitamins, minerals and supplements, my hair and nails have started growing normal again and my appetite and overall health has improved tremendously.

I highly recommend all Patch Aid products. They really work.

My definite go to for Iron supplementation. I have had difficulty taking various iron medication prescribed by my GP. To the point where I have been prescribed a iron supplement given to children! This product provides an alternative route i.

I have been very low on iron for years and even have had infusions to raise my levels, nothing worked. I have been using the iron patches for over a year now and my iron levels have raised and they are not looking at anymore infusions.

I am still tired but I am also 82 years old. The patches are easy to use and I don’t need to be concerned about stomach problems from taking pills. They have been great for me and I would recommend others to give them a try.

I cant take pills because it upsets my stomach so this is a great way to get iron. Im only slightly anemic so this is also a great low dose option. For the first week though, youll probably ache a little and you might have some annoying effects like a twitch here or there depending on how severe your anemia is.

This is a great patch compared to others that I have used. It has really good adhesion and doesn’t lift at the corners like my other patches. I have actually used this to patch my recliner saving me hundreds of dollars.

I had to use it to cover existing patches that lifted around the edges and corners. The color is also a perfect match for my recliner.

I tend to have blowouts in my elbows of my shirts. I bought these patches to reinforce two of my favorite shirts. They were casual shirts that had many years on them and were quite comfortable. I am sure these patches have a proper use but the adhesive was not of adequate quality to stay in place during washing and wearing once they had been applied.

It did not work for me. I think if you were going to so around the patch the edges will stay down and work long-term.

Product works as advertised. Set your iron to steam-free moderately high setting, preheat the fabric with your iron, apply the patch and hold under heat for about 15-20 seconds, and it’s finished. Simple to use.

It can be readily removed by reversing this process, and then wiping away any residual adhesive.

I take these every day to stop leg cramps. I generally take 5 to 8 capsules per day, one or two at a time, as needed. I do not have stomach problems with the capsules.

I started taking it and after a week or so I started having burning in my stomach/bladder. The doctor told me to stop taking some of my vitamins. I stopped taking the iron and after about a week the burning was gone.

I take this product for anemia. It’s only been 1 week, so too early to evaluate, except that it’s easy on the stomach. I gave three stars because it needs proper labeling. It would be more clear to the consumer if the label said 28mg of elemental iron.

The way it is worded now, one might think that 28 mg pertains to iron salts, which only contain 20%-30% of elemental iron. Also, not sure why the label says take with food: doctors recommend to take iron supplements on empty stomach, 1 hr prior or 2 hrs after a meal, unless you can’t tolerate it without food.

Patches are good- notice the sizes before you purchase. Delivery person just put it on my door knob. Never knocked or ring my doorbell. SO Unprofessional!!!!! They should follow directions!!!

Love these pretty little iron on patches. Im bad to burn cigarette holes in stuff and these are just the right size for a cigarette burn hole. Theyre very pretty and stick very good.

They do not stick with just ironing. Just sew them on. Even then, they don’t last super long against frequent friction, but I suppose no fabric would.

I have taken Poly-iron 150 for 6 years. I am borderline anemic. Have purchased this product at the drug store in the pharmacy. It has become more and more difficult to find this product. So happy poly iron is available from this on line drug store and at a much better price.

This is an iron supplement capsule. You swallow with water. I take because Doctor recommends. I can not answer questions about quality. I assume it is of eXcellent quality. I have purchased many times From other sellers.

I don’t know what’s in this but I’ve been taking it a few days and. i think I have low iron genuinely speaking I always feel exhausted, fatigued and my body hurts when my menses start. Starting taking this just a few days and I feel the difference.

Not so run down and drained ( I do still have the same symptoms) BUT THEY HAVE REDUCED. Buy it ladies. ESP those with periods from the underworld.

Spa tone is a great way to get iron easily and without side affects like you get with tablets. It is gentle on the insides and your body absorbs it quickly. Easy to use. I recommend this product for anyone who has trouble with other types of iron intake.

It came quickly even with COVID delays and was packed well.

I had been feeling low on energy of late, so tried Spatone. Helped almost immediately. When on holiday, bought another form of Iron Tabulate, with Vitamin C, but it just didn’t seem to help. Went back to Spatone on return home – immediate difference.

I’ve been anaemic since very young (possibly birth ?). My mother tried everything to get my iron levels up when I was young, and even though I was eating meat, I still had low iron. At the age of 21 I became vegetarian and have maintained that lifestyle to date.

I struggled the most when it came to my monthly cycle, tried every iron supplement I could get my hands on. nothing helped until July 2018. I started taking Iron chews ( 1 a day) and at first they didn’t seem to be doing much.

After about 3 months taking 1-a-day I decided to take 2-a-day because the exhaustion I went through before each period was just too much. in July of 2018 my iron levels were 8, then crept up to 11, then down again to 9, up again to 22 and now (7 months later) my iron levels have gone up to 43.

This supplement keeps my iron where it needs to be and has helped my body the past few years. After a colitis flare 4 years ago, I was underweight and this was in the kit that got my body back to nourished levels.

My primary doctor detected a few years ago that I had become an on-going anemic and she recommended taking 18 mg of Iron 3 x day. A friend suggested taking only Ferrous Fumarate because it does not contribute to constipation.

She also said I should take Vitamin C to make sure the Iron was absorbed. The doctor concurred. We have ordered your products for a number of years so it was only natural to order this one, too. I’m happy to say Swanson’s 18 mg Iron Ferrous Fumarate has kept my anemia at bay with no unwanted side effects.

However, since it has not been available for a few months and there has been no word from Swanson when a supply is expected, I have no alternative but to look elsewhere.

Ferrous fumerate is the most readily available form of iron for the body. It cures anemia if used daily for 6 mos or more. Ferrous sulphate, given by Rx for women, is worthless. It’s from iron shavings, & can be moved around with a magnet.

The body can’t use it & it’s quickly passed through the system. This iron product is the real thing. Works great!.

I had some health issues which on-line research said could be the result of low iron. I took one Swanson Iron Ferrous Fumarate 18 mg capsule daily and between one and two weeks later the symptoms went away.

I’m one of those people that take supplements and oftentimes don’t feel I see results. This time I definitely did! I must say this must be a good iron capsule. Thank you Swanson!.

My husband’s iron has been a little low since his total gastrectomy. His multivitamin already has 45 mg iron so we wanted to add a little more iron to start, and these tangerine chews are just the right amount.

He can’t swallow pills so it is great they are chewable. He says these have a pleasant taste, more like fruity candy than a vitamin. It remains to be seen if it will help his iron levels, we will do blood work again in 5 months.

I have NEVER, in my life, enjoyed taking an iron supplement. UNTIL NOW!!! (i kid you not. ) They have all tasted like I was eating pennies and the flavor would repeat on you for hours. NOT THIS KIND.

I just used this product for the first time this past month and the taste is great. The chewable is very large but it breaks down really well and quickly. Another thing I like about this particular supplement is that you only need to take it once a day.

I haven’t had my levels checked recently so I couldn’t say whether or not it’s keeping my iron levels in check.

I like it so far, but have two issues. I wish it came in a little bit smaller dosage and I wish the capsules were a different color They look exactly like my multi-vitamin and my probiotic capsules. Get a little mixed up when filling my weekly pill container.

I have taken Easy Iron for years, a couple times a week, because my diet is typically low on iron. I have more energy since I started taking it. No side affects. Easy to swallow.

Easy peezy repair kit. Have been using this product for years!! I love it because its so simple to use. My husband has a favourite pair of work trousers and a favourite pair of jeans which are so comfortable and although they are falling to pieces he cant bear to part with them! Holes and tears are quickly repair by just ironing on by cutting the appropriate size patch to fit the tear – job done.

I chose these patches as they looked exactly what I needed to fix a pair of jeans that had a hole but were otherwise in good condition. I followed the instructions and the repair looked good. I wore the jeans the next day and they were fine for the first three hours then the patches just came off.

I had ensured the edges were secure etc as instructed but they just came off completely.

Bought this for a repair to an expensive Shirt. Tiny cut within the button band repaired with a small oval ironed on the inside. Damage was almost completely invisible. Well worth the cost & still have plenty left should anything else need fixing.

I have used tried other brands but Easy Iron is my fav and so easy on my tummy and stool. It took time for me to figure out my system and as I see comments that this not raise their levels, I share some info in case it help.

Check your bloodwork every 3-months. If it doesn’t rise much you may need to double up even though 18 mg is typically the full dose needed by adults. I had come to realize I have trouble absorbing various minerals and Iron be the worse, likely bc I have high acid which prevents absorption.

Adding probiotics to one’s diet can sometimes help that, but if not, doubling up the dose helped and bc I monitor my blood regularly I already know, as does my Dr, that I will never get toxic overdose.

Also, ensure to take this supplement on an empty stomach to help absorption. I am finally happy to say, after 40 years of misunderstanding what my body, I now gradually create normal levels of iron reserves for my body’s needs.

Purchased these pills years ago (2014). No upset stomach. However they do cause constipation for me. Never had issues with my Hgb levels while taking them. I was able to maintain a normal HGb range of 120.

Would recommend. They cause no stomach upset or nausea like the 65 mg iron capsules.

This product works great. I was diagnosed with iron-defiency about six months ago and have been looking for ways to remedy it without having to go back on the prescription medication. Do not take this product if you are pregnant or have any other health problems that are contraindicated with taking iron supplements because it may interfere with treatment, particularly at higher.

These work great! One tip though when applying, as soon as you remove the iron from the patch use an oven mitt or towel (so you don’t burn yourself) to apply pressure to the patch for a minute as it cools.

This makes sure the contact is solid as the glue solidifies. I was having issues with the corners lifting up, but pressing down on them as I mentioned above made them bond solid.

I use these on the insides of my shirts that I wear when I volunteer at my local animal shelter. I get holes and rips from the cats nails and these patches work great. I just cut the size I need and iron them on the shirt for 30 seconds.

I’ve also used them on the insides of my jeans to hold together worn areas and they stay also. You do need to trim the patch and make it rounded so that it sticks better, just like the directions say.

I was already taking Iron supplements as advised by my neurologist to help with a sleeping disorder. My doctor recommended taking vitamin C beforehand to help with maximum absorption. He also recommended I did not eat high protein before or after so it was not expelled through waste.

The pills are small and coated so there is no taste when on your tongue. I hope I have the same increase in iron levels in my blood work in a couple of months. That will be the true final test. I’m excited to see the results because these are a little more affordable than the other brand I was taking.
