Have to say this is disappointing. There are annoying audio syncing issues, which Amazon is aware of. But their method of fixing it is kind of bizarre and it doesn’t work anyway. The strangest part is that the audio sync problem is only with Amazon Prime videos.

All the other streaming apps work fine. The other issue is I’m using it to control my TV, receiver, and satellite box, but everytime I tell it to turn on the TV it goes straight to Fire TV instead of the satellite.

Very annoying and difficult to fix. They have their own “live tv” option which is even worse. I can’t get rid of that, it’s an annoying button on the remote. The worst of all is the picture quality isn’t as good as Chromecast or the apps on my Samsung TV.

I kind of want to return this but I’ll keep trying. It’s only been a month, maybe it will get better. Overall it’s a bummer.

If you’re looking for an upgrade to a streaming device, these FIre Cubes are an excellent choice. Way more internal storage, and better processor for faster download speeds. You can use the Alexa feature to do many of the normal multiple click operations.

Setup is very easy. It basically walks you thru the setup. Yes, they are more expensive, but if you’re serious about cutting the cord, and want the best option available, these are a great choice. Like with any streaming device, you need a decent WiFi download speed/provider to have the best performance.

I’ve been using android boxes throughout my home for several years now, since deciding to “cut the cable”. Recently, the android box in our bedroom decided to bite the dust. While shopping for a replacement, I came across the 4K Fire TV Stick and decided to give it a try.

Included in the box: – 4K Fire TV Stick – Power Adapter w/ USB-to-micro cable – HDMI Extender Cable (for best Wi-Fi reception) – Remote (Alexa Voice enabled) w/ 2 AAA batteries – Documents/Booklets (Quick Start guide, product info, warranty etc.

) The first thing I noticed once opening the package was it’s small size, slightly larger than a thumb drive and plugs directly into an available HDMI port. This eliminates the need of running another HDMI cable and frees up space on the TV stand, table, mantle or in our case the dresser.

Setup could not be any easier! Simply connect the Power Adapter to the 4K Fire TV Stick using the included USB Cable. Plug the 4K Fire TV Stick into an available HDMI port and the Power Adapter into a wall outlet.

Once powered, I was greeted with several easy to follow onscreen prompts to setup Wi-Fi, timezone, pair the remote to TV etc. and allow the Stick to update. Once the updates were complete, the Stick will reboot.

The entire process only took approx. 5 mins. Once initial setup was complete, I was brought to the main screen. The UI is very nicely laid out and easily navigated. There are several apps already listed such as Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ etc.

You can customize this layout by adding and/or removing apps of which may or may not be of interest to you. You can set a password and customize parental controls to block access to specific apps, ratings and purchases.

The 4K Fire TV Stick works perfectly! It is very responsive in navigation, opens apps quickly and streams video with no issues at all. I was initially concerned about Wi-Fi reception as our router is on a different level/floor in our home, but the 4K Fire TV Stick has no problem picking up my Wi-Fi and streams perfectly.

Great video quality and virtually no buffer! Much better than my previous android box. The remote is a perfect size and fits comfortably in hand. The selection of buttons are that of typical media players, Play/Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, a circular navigation/select, Home, etc.

The 4K Fire TV Stick Remote also has the addition of Power On/Off, Volume UP/Down and Mute buttons, which allow us control over other devices such as TV, Receiver, Soundbar etc. This is a great feature, as it can eliminate the need for multiple remotes.

Then ofcourse, we have Alexa Voice. With a simple press(Hold) of the microphone button, you can easily launch apps, find and control movies and TV shows etc. all with your voice. Alexa can also give updates on time, weather, news etc.

the possibilities seem “almost” endless. I haven’t used this feature too much so far, but when I have it has worked perfectly. While there is lots of free content available on the 4K Fire TV Stick, I primarily use it for Prime Video, Netflix, etc.

Prime Video is a great service with tons of great movies and TV shows. best of all, its FREE for Amazon Prime members! In my opinion, the cost of Amazon Prime + 4K Fire TV Stick basically pays for itself due to the FREE Prime Video!.

Now that it’s properly set up, I love this Fire TV Stick HD with Alexa! I’m using it with a 2007 Vizio TV in the kitchen, and it’s giving me live and on-demand access to my favorite apps and TV. Did I mention that this TV doesn’t have Wi-Fi and that I planned to buy a new one to connect to my mesh setup? It was Prime week and I mentioned my plan to an IT tech at work and he suggested this HD fire stick.

I bought it for more than 50% off! It was delivered the next day and I started the easy set-up process, but got stuck when asked to sign into my Amazon account to receive a code to input on the set-up screen.

At this point it was all uphill with my limited tech skills. I didn’t think the Fire stick would work if I didn’t already have Alexa. Wrong! The tech at work told me to bring it in, he used my Amazon account to set it up (the Fire stick has built in memory!), I took it home and plugged it in and voila! Now I can use Alexa and see my favorite TV series, along with Netflix and SiriusXM.

I’m lovin it! Now that the Fire stick has saved me the cost of an updated TV, I’ll consider buying a new monitor! Don’t give up on the set up!.

I would not ever buy anything from this site again. This is a fraud, the product description says “New Fire TV Stick 4K with New Alexa Voice Remote Streamer” but when I received the package it was on a remote without the stick and did not even include batteries.

Before this product was shipped I suspected that it maybe only a remote, so I contacted the support for this site and asked the question that if this included the stick as well and here is their response : Thank you for contacting DailySale Customer Service.

And now of course I can not even contact to get a refund and when you go through the site to return it, it is giving me partial credit which will not even pay for the return shipping fees. I paid for a total of $34.

97 including shipping fees and taxes and now they want to credit me $16. 02 which of course does not include the shipping fees that I have to payback. I hope you guys do not fall for this scam.

I got this 4k firestick to replace the previous 2nd gen I had, which altogether stopped working a little less than 2 years after purchase. This one started getting glitchy after just about 1 year. I’m not even using it for 4k or dolby plus, just 1080p and standard dolby surround and approximately 16 months later, it’s almost unusable at times.

Apps freezing up or otherwise not functioning properly, if at all. Even after manually stopping them, clearing the cache &/or data, uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, etc. Not to mention the increasing amount of bloatware.

Bad enough it only has “8gb” of internal storage, with no way to expand it. But, they keep adding to it, randomly, with their frequent updates. I should probably invest in an nvidia shield or at least, something better than this.

To have to keep replacing them every year or so, just isn’t worth it.

I’ve never had an Amazon Fire Stick before. I’ve tried numerous Roku’s only to send them back because my purpose was to eventually cut cable so I wanted a clear QVC and HSN channel like it is through cable.

Roku’s was not good at all. It wasn’t even HD. When I saw this on a Bonus Buy which was a tremendous price and I saw that you could stream QVC/HSN through it I thought I’ll give this a try since it supports 4K and I have a 4K TV.

For me though the tipping point was that I saw a “Mad Men” icon on the screen when he was presenting it, which is my all time favorite show that I haven’t been able to watch or find anywhere. It was on the IMDB channel.

So when I set it up, which was super easy and tells you exactly what to do, I searched for Mad Men and much to my delight I can now watch every episode again! Also when I downloaded the QVC/HSN app you can watch live.

The picture isn’t quite what you get through cable but certainly better than Roku’s, so it’s a winner for me to have this even if I used it for nothing else!.

I happen to own one of these years ago. I now use Apple TV. I bought one these to match with a spare room/guest room TV. For a fraction of the cost in comparison to Apple TV, it really does a great job.

Adding apps like Hulu,Netflix, HBo max,Paramount and Peacock were a breeze. It’s simple A great product for non cable/Dish. Most of the new Smart TV series will do what this lovely box does. My Samsung smart TV is aging but has great picture quality.

This Samsung TV will not accept or allow the Amazon app so I got this Amazon TV box and it’s getting the task done.

It runs & boots like the newer version, but doesn’t have a sd card like the nd generation. It has a usb slot and won’t mount a flash drive. I couldn’t even through a shell get flashdrive to mount for extra storage.

The new fire tvs need a sd card slot. Works well on 2nd generation. Having an external device expands storage space.

I love being able to watch whatever I want and Amazon Fire TV allows me to do just that. It is easy to setup and very easy to operate. I have several Firesticks but I love this little box. It has easily become my favorite and an obsession.

Well, I’ve owned Fire TV Sticks before, but never the Cube. This is the 2nd gen. I gotta say, compared to the Sticks (even the 4k one), this thing is definitely more snappy and speedy. It’s also much smaller than I’d imagined.

It follows the alphabetical format ABCDEF. WHY? – Launcher. It’s. it’s a homepage of ads that makes it hard to access the apps you’ve downloaded. Got a plex server or wanna play some games? You will have to either press the left or right button a few times on the homescreen to access your list of apps or hold the home key + click right to access the list of apps.

I can understand this if you are inside the ecosystem and only plan on using streaming services. but as a poweruser, this sucks – Forced updates A few things to note: – Although it comes with 16 GB storage, the software alone takes up 5-6 gb, so realistically speaking you only have 10 GB of space – If you can’t control the volume of your TV or shut it down, go into settings and configure it there so that it can – Although all Fire TVs support mouse pointers, you have to use a mouse or something like the steam controller to make it show up.

Anything else is in the gray area, unless there’s some niche app on the phone that I’ve not heard of. I would love to know if there are though. That would be amazing. With that said. where are the USB-A ports for non bluetooth mice/keyboard? Now, this is a lot of complaints haha.

The TV Box is inconsistent to its description. It’s not jailbreak version. You have to jailbreak it by yourself, which means you need to spend hours searching internet to find the best suitable way for you to jailbreak(and/or root) it according to your preference.

And, you also need to take the chance that you might brick it forever. The seller does respond to emails, but not much help though. If you are a TV Box guru, you have no problem jailbreaking it. If not, you need to reconsider it.

We all know what the box can do and provide you a lot of entertainments, but only when you are capable of mastering it. It’s not for average ppl, unless you are satisfied very limited free media sources.

BT can’t connect to any BT mouses (I tried it on 4 different brands). Suggestions: Internal memory should be increased to 8GB, better 16 GB. Fix Blue Tooth to access BT mouses. Fix movie watching deficiency of freezing screen.

As mom comes and stays in the US, one worry is that there is no Chinese channels. Once I got this small box, the setup with my router is super easy and there is no download needed, suddenly, tons of Chinese channels show up.

I used the Firestick to view Netflix on a bedroom tv. I wanted to watch “The Crown-session 3” today on Netflix. I had watched the previously watched the first two sessions a couple of days ago. Today I searched with the Firestick on the bedroom tv, and “The Crown” wasnt even an option.

It didn’t come up in the search. What DID come up first on the list was “Becoming, which was a documentary about Michelle Obama. That clearly had nothing to do with “The Crown”! It was like it didn’t want me to watch “The Crown” and watch “Becoming”.

This is clearly an invasion of my privacy and censoring what I wanted to watch. A total violation of my First Amendment rights! I the went to my main tv which has a Roku to watch Netflix. I searched “The Crown” and there it was—the first on the list! I think the makers of Firestick are trying to censor what viewers are trying to watch.

Something in the Firestick search was totally trying to censor what I watch! It really upsets me! Scary!.

When I cut my cords off cable expenses 5 years ago, I bought the original Fire TV Stick. It lasted and worked pretty good but recently after 5 years, it just died –no power, no connection. I researched the newer ones (Fire StIck LITE vs.

3rd generation) and found out the “FS Lite” remote does not correlate to your TV power and volume. So I went to Staples and purchased the regular 3rd generation (says “Fire TV Stick (supports HD 1080 streaming)” on the box and — wow.

Fast clicking, great power. This one does not support 4K, but I was fine with that because my older TV doesn’t have 4K anyway. TV picture is lucid clear, great. On the remote that comes with this stick, the Alexa button is highlighted in blue color now.

It has the 4 express buttons on the bottom to instantly bring up Netflix, Prime, Disney, Hulu. (Rather than always having to go back to a “Home” screen to change ) I could not believe how quick the express buttons connect you to those platforms.

I must say the quadcore processing power in this Fire Stick works very fast — which in an impressive feat considering this little thing has no fan or active cooling. (And unlike the “Lite” stick), the remote with this version stick DOES dovetail with your TV power and volume buttons.

So it’s very nice to use just one remote for mostly everything. Very pleased with my purchase. No complaints. Love it.

Nice improvement to the old fire stick we had. I mostly just wanted it for the shortcut buttons and to control the tv volume without having to keep 2 remotes on hand all the time. The previous fire stick had also started getting laggy despite updating it and emptying the cache constantly to improve performance, and this one has none of the same issues so the updated hardware was needed.

Setting up was fast and easy, and syncing with the tv to control the volume was also quick and painless. That process started automatically after the new fire stick finished setting itself up, no tv code or annoying info to find and type in.

Overall super happy with the upgrade and happy to finally have lag-free watching again.

There was no mention this needs to be connected to a power supply. That’s no big deal as it’s easy enough to use an adaptor if you are short on plug space but it would have been useful information. Also whilst to a tech savvy bod this may be a doddle to set there was no mention of the rig ma role you have to go through to register the apps and also the allocation of an HDMI on your TV or SKY remote.

That saying I am a 71 year old un tech savvy lady and I honestly found it no more difficult to set up than any new tablet , desktop computer or mobile phone! It just takes a wee bit of time and patience but you soon get the hang of it all.

Also whilst there are lots of apps such as BT sports and Netflix, there was no mention that you do need to subscribe to these channels to view, they are NOT free! After all that I am sure we will get lots of use out of it.

My husband is pleased to be able to watch BT Sport on the TV instead of straining with his tablet and at the excellent price of the TSV I feel sure it will prove to be excellent value.

Do that really matter – no still gets you to the same place. Setup was simple but I had all the accounts and passwords ready before I started. Step by step was simple, the sound bar was different – I had to roll through a long list before I got to mine but that that worked perfectly.

I remember setting up that soundbay in my Xfinity remote looking at a small piece of paper folded more times than an origami flower and then still having to pick one of 5 available codes. I wish the 4 buttons at the bottom were programmable instead of fixed – maybe future software upgrade.

This version does require power and comes with an converter – I instead purchased the patch cable which allows it to pull power from a USB port (if you have one open). Much cleaner.

IšverstiShow in original languageI already have a firestick 4k that works great. I recently purchased the Recast which I absolutely love for OTA DVR and live TV features. The firesticks work great for that as it has an integrated guide and DVR library.

There are a few differences between the two 4k sticks. If you are asking yourself, should I buy a max of the regular 4k and is it any faster? Well to be honest, speed wise I can’t tell a difference between the two.

This one is compatible with Wifi 6 but not many including myself has a router with that compatibility. But it’s nice to know it’s there for the future. A few differences. For some reason I don’t get the video previews when browsing the live TV guide.

I’ve gone into the featured content and made sure they were on but still don’t get them. Yet I get them on the regular 4k stick. Hmm, a bug maybe. They work for other apps from the home screen and even work on recently watched TV shows.

Just not the inside the guide. When watching a live TV program and scrolling the guide, now all you have to do is hit the back button to go back to the show. On the original 4k you had to scroll back to the show were watching.

To get back to the guide you now have to click the backward button twice instead of once to get back to the guide or do I like I do and just hit the TV button which brings up the guide. With the max you now have the option to turn off HDR which is good if you have a TV like mine that does HDR badly.

Or you can still go adaptive. I turn it off. You’ll still get ultra HD, just not in HDR. I’m not sure if this is hard encoded in the hardware or software. Those are about the only differences I see. If you don’t have a recast I suggest just getting the original 4k and saving $10 bucks.

If you’re expecting it to be faster than the original 4k, It’s not. I just needed another one for my other TV.

Bought it on sale for $35. This was my first on-line streaming device, so I wasn’t spending much to try it out. Buying last years Ultra LT model was equivalent or cheaper than buying a used lower-end model.

The only issue was that the Ultra LT has less memory than the full Ultra, which causes it to get hung up if you subscribe to too many channels. When I tried watching the “Featured Free” movie, it would not get past ~2 minutes (it would loop back to the beginning).

I read up on this and added an micro-SD card; that solved the problem. I was looking for something that allowed for a 24 news source and their are multiple channels that provide it. I also was able to subscribe to local television stations of major cities I lived in before (Seattle and NY).

The remote has a headphone jack, since it connects via Wi-Fi or BlueTooth (not sure which one), you can walk around your house and still hear the audio. Also, the TV does not have to be on for audio to be played through the headphone jack.

So if you were listening to a music channel, you could have your TV off and connect the remote to your home entertainment system. The package did not come with an HDMI cable, so you will need to provide your own.

This is the ROKU to buy if you are a ROKU fan. The sticks seem to suck a lot and unless you buy a ROKU with a little horse power you will find yourself growling at your toy. The biggest con of ROKU is the overall lack of bang for your buck no matter what ROKU device you buy.

Sure there is the ROKU channel and lots of commercials during your streaming experience, but all the add ons are pretty much available on other and more robust streaming hardware. Walmart introduced an android streaming box not too long ago.

Although it is a little lacking, I think in time they will get with the program and find the right product to sell at the right price point. For now the best experience for your money is a good ol’ android box that will give you apps for pretty much all the services ROKU can provide with the exception of ROKU proprietary stiff.

I still keep ROKU and Fire TV around in hopes they will eventually do something that makes them stand out. So far it ain’t happening.

This Roku LT works like a charm, I upgraded from an older model and this one is so much better. Easy setup, plug the cord that it comes with into the device and into an outlet, then plug a HDMI 6-foot cable wire into both the device and the TV and that’s it, very simple.

The HDMI cable wire is not included so purchase one if you don’t have one on hand. All my channels from my previous Roku automatically came on the screen as soon as I set it up and turned it on. To start streaming, some channels will ask for your email and password, some won’t, still easy to do.

Works perfect. This model is supported by all channels that there is to offer to stream including YouTube. No buffering or freezing, very fast. Easy voice command search option on the remote makes it really easy to find whatever you’re looking for.

Comes with headphones too. I highly recommend this product.
