I bought this monitor to make it easier to share pictures and other content from my phone with small groups. The monitor was easy to set up and the controls are simple to figure out without even using the start up guide.

In the past I used an iPad to show people my projects and photos but with this monitor I retain control in the palm of my hand while the ViewSonic display mirrors the content to my audience. This also helps us to all maintain a comfortable distance from each other.

As expected, ViewSonic has delivered an excellent portable monitor. The screen is bright and alive. I like the fact that you can charge your devices off of it when it’s on AC power. AC power is not necessary.

it runs just fine from my laptop’s USB-C port.

Best 17” portable monitor I’ve found in this price range. The settings were perfect right out of the box. Excellent picture and color matching. Integrated stand is sturdy and a good size that doesn’t take up too much space.

Magnetic cover makes storing easy.

It’s a fabulous screen, just the right size for me, clear, detailed and with bright colours. I added computer speakers for optimum audio, as I have always done with my TVs and computer screens. I appreciate good sound and don’t expect it at all from a thin screen or TV.

As a low income person, this is the frst time I’ve spent decent money and bought a new screen. I’m so pleased I did. The one thing I find awkward is the single central knob for the screen’s controls.

It took a little while to become adept at it. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the KISS approach: a labelled button for every function on the side of my devices. 4 stars for that.

It’s a good monitor for its price, and I really love the reading colour mode it has, that’s been a godsend while studying! The colours took a lot of fiddling to get looking right in other modes so it’s not the best choice if you’re an artist of some sort imo.

The lack of a height adjustment is a little annoying too but I bought it knowing it didn’t feature that, still expected it to be a bit higher. I’m not unhappy with the purchase – the rating is more how I feel about it when compared to other monitors that are a bit more expensive, it might be worth looking around if you need something more colour precise and with inbuilt height adjustments first.

Fits perfectly in my space, has an awesome picture, and is easy to use. Can’t ask for much better at the price.

I thought I found an affordable USB-C monitor but it’s not that simple. Since there was no USB-C cable included, I called B&H support, and after 15 minutes of discussion they suggested buying an Apple Thunderbolt cable to use with my MacBook Air.

The cable did not work. I then called ViewSonic help, and they said that sometimes the Thunderbolt USB-C cable won’t work, so suggested a plain USB-C cable from Best Buy. I returned the Apple cable to B&H and ordered a USB-C cable.

so I am hoping it will work. The Monitor itself seems fine, but I picked it for the benefit of being able to charge my laptop along with conenct video and audio.

Best Buy got it to me in 2 days with regular shipping. It was easy to set up. I have it connected to my Surface Pro via a Surface Dock. The stand for it was high quality. It’s easy to tilt and swivel the screen.

I love all the USB ports. It can also be programmed to reduce the blue light in the evenings. I kind of wish Best Buy had the 2K version of the monitor in stock when I bought this. The only bad thing is.

I don’t know why ViewSonic included the speakers though. They seem pretty pointless.

Admittedly, I am not a tech snob, but the reviews I read prior to purchasing said this was a great value. I have been very pleased with the monitor. Setup was easy and the picture is great. Only problem was the “comes with” section was a bit confusing, as I have a Surface laptop and the packaging says it does come with a mini Display Port connection, when in fact it does not.

I needed to purchase separately.

In general a good monitor, however having a very limited vertical angle of viewing. If you really want to see a sharp, colour-balanced image you have to have this monitor directly in front of your nose and on eye level (horizontal viewing is really decent).

That also means that in vertical positioning this monitor will keep you frozen in one place. So, if the future user wants to have a monitor used vertically, or horizontally but angled (like without stand on the desk) this monitor is definitely not a good choice.

Unfortunately I have learnt it too late to return it to bestbuy.

After several years, I am the happy owner of three LG 32UD59-B. I did not purchase these all at once. The first LG 32UD59-B was actually my fifth 4K monitor purchase. I started with two really inexpensive 28″ 4K at 30Hz.

These are too small, but got me hooked on 4K. I then purchased two really expensive 32″ 4K at 60Hz monitors. They worked great, but when I wanted to purchase some more for my work computer at home, my office and my wife, I just didn’t want to spend the money and I wanted a more cost effective 4K monitor.

I decided to give the LG 32UD59-B a try because it was way cheaper, 32″ 4K at 60Hz. I figured the high level specs were the same as the much more expensive competition. After about a year, I realized I liked the LG just as much as the much more expensive competition.

I only use DisplayPort, 4K at 60Hz with native resolution scaling set to 100%. The LG supports HDMI, but I don’t use it. I tried HDMI and it works, but its trickier to ensure everything works at 60Hz, while DisplayPort works at 60Hz with any DisplayPort cable I own.

As time passes, I continue to buy additional LG 32UD59-B. One for the wife and one for office. I plan to look for sales and probably will end up getting another couple more for office, living room, 2nd one for wife.

Out of the box, the sharpness is set too high and you get white highlights around black letters. I guess they are trying to make it easier to read text, but it doesn’t work. LG 32UD59-B allows me to adjust the sharpness way down so I don’t get weird highlights around black text.

There are adjustments you can make for the background too. I normally dial down the contrast so the black is blacker and less white bleeding through the background. I also use this for gaming. 4K 60Hz 5ms refresh rate isn’t awesome for gaming, but its good enough for me.

Games look and play great with my 1080Ti.

I’ve been working on increasing productivity with my home setup for a few months now. That included trying a number of different panels, from TN to IPS and VA. My Perfect World scenario had me combining my productivity and gaming monitor into a single monitor.

Unfortunately, I discovered (via more than one monitor) that curved displays actually cause me to get nauseous after a short while. It didn’t matter how shallow the curve or wide the monitor; I got nauseous eventually.

So, I gave up on ultrawides for a bit. Then, I decided to try an alternative approach: Use one monitor for fast paced gaming, and one for productivity and slower games. I first set out to find flat panel ultrawides with G-Sync to pair with my 1080 Ti GPU.

That didn’t happen. So, I searched for a while and found the LG 34UM88-P and Samsung SJ55W. The LG is IPS, and the Samsung is VA. Honestly, I don’t have a strong preference for one over the other. The slightly better colors and viewing angles are nice on IPS, the deeper blacks are nice on VA.

Since I wasn’t worried about fast-paced gaming on them, I didn’t care about VA bleeding black in fast scenes. I dug into reviews and specs and found this LG 34UB88-P. It’s the business version of the 34UM88-P and has a 3 year warranty instead of 1 year.

Note that I also looked at 29″ ultrawides, but I wanted to keep a comparable resolution to my gaming monitor (Dell S2616DG, which is a 27″ 1440p TN panel), so I limited most of my serious searching to 34″ 3440 x 1440p monitors.

Ultimately the 3 year warranty, slightly better colors, and availability at a good price at CDW pushed me over the edge in favor of the LG. This monitor is beautiful. Out of the box, it’s already excellent.

I found its green to be a little higher than it needed to be, and the brightness was way too high (same with every monitor ever). I ended up knocking the Black Stabilizer in Game Adjust to 0 (this should be the default) and calibrated the monitor with my X-Rite i1DisplayPro.

It looks gorgeous and is perfect for my needs. One minor gripe is that if you use the hardware calibration, it greys out some settings like Black Stabilizer, and I can’t tell if they’re permanently at 50 or permanently disabled.

As such, I ended up calibrating a second time just using the Custom color profile and DisplayCAL software. This kept all of the options available to me without having to worry if something wasn’t optimized.

Highly recommended. This should be far more popular than it is. People are obsessed with curved monitors and regurgitate a lot of misinformation about the benefits of a curved vs. flat display (e. g.

that flat monitors warp visuals at the edges of your vision–this is simply untrue. It’s people trying to convince themselves that curved monitors don’t causing visual warping).

We purchased several ViewSonic VP2756-4Ks for general use in our university’s Graphic Design labs. We have only used Apple displays for the past 20 years, but their limited options and high cost made that choice impractical.

We did have a few beige ViewSonic CRTs back in the day which served us well. This model exceeded my expectations for this price point. The colors are vibrant, brightness is uniform and crisp. I wish the resolution/pixel density were a bit greater, and the option for hardware calibration would have been nice, but again at less than $500, I don’t think that would have been possible.

I like these well enough that I personally purchased one for my art-student daughter to use in her dorm.

This monitor looks really good and the setup is very easy. This is my first 4k monitor. No bleeding, or dead pixels. The HDR10 looks quite well (beware, overall brightness is reduced) on Windows 10. Viewing angles are great.

The base is quite heavy and sturdy. This is my first 32 inch monitor, but the weight is noticeably different than my 27 inch monitor. It is also pretty simple to calibrate the colors, to give you much more color accuracy or to your liking.

I had a little heart attack because my box arrived damaged. Luckily, the monitor is in pristine condition. As it stands, I do not see any cons to this monitor. If my pockets were deep enough, I would have bought a second.

Bought this product to be the second monitor for one of our office workspaces. It looks great! Super clean look. Love the range of motion – it was purchased for someone who has bifocal glasses and she needs her monitors to sit a certain way so she can see them, and this fit the bill perfectly.

It also feels like a really substantial piece of equipment, which I like. While I have some cheaper monitors around the office that look alright, they don’t measure up when it comes down to physical quality and adjustability.

I have 2 computers I use every day connected to my monitor: a MacBook Pro (via HDMI) and PC w/ GTX-1080 (Via DP). The main reason for upgrading from 2560×1440 to 3440×1440 was for extra desktop space on the MacBook, and as a bonus I was curious to see how it would work w/ games on the PC.

The 1st problem is that the HDMI adapter on my MacBook cannot drive 3440×1440. That’s annoying, but it’s not the montor’s fault. However the monitor does not automatically adjust the aspect ratio/resolution to match the incoming signal.

So I have to manually set it to 2560×1440 when connected to the MacBook. Then when I switch to the PC, I have to manually set it back to 3440×1440. That would not be so bad if you just had to do it once, but the settings are not for the individual input source but global.

So EVERYTIME you switch to a new input you have to manually reconfigure the monitor through the OSD. That is a serious flaw. All the input sources should not have to share the same settings. The OSD controls are buttons hidden on the back of the panel, so you have to use “back=index finger, enter=middle finger, Down/Right=ring finger, Up/Left=pinky”.

Luckily the directions are labeled on-screen so you can see them in the dark, but the number of different button presses required to just change the aspect ratio is maddening: index-middle-ring-ring-middle-pinky-pinky-middle-index-index-index every time I switch to my PC, and then index-middle-ring-ring-middle-ring-ring-middle-index-index-index to switch back to the Mac.

It never gets fun, and it”s easy to accidentally press the wrong button and then be in the wrong submenu or turn it off by mistake and then have to start all over. These are limitations we used to expect from technology on the 1990’s, but that was 30 years ago.

Surely they can do better. I’m really tempted to return it, but I need my old monitor for a family emergency and just don’t have the time.

Very simple to use, very lightweight, display brightness and contrast are pretty good. Includes USB C-C cable and HDMI to MiniHDMI cable. USB-C connection worked perfectly with Windows 10 and no problems on HDMI when using an external 10W USB-C PSU.

Couldn’t get the USB-C to work with my Android phone due to lack of USB MHL support, but not an issue with the display. Connection ports on the side of the unit are slightly inconvenient, particularly in the vertical orientation.

Might have been better if located on the back – but still usable. My main criticism having bought this for travelling is that it only comes with a soft shell case which offers minimal protection. A hard shell case is really required if you are going to travel with it.

Picture quality is sharp and crisp. I have had an older version of this monitor for over 3 years now with no issues and wanted to use in dual setup. It has some new presets for the contrast, brightness and colors, which do not match my older monitor exactly, but the custom setting works well and I was able to get it to match my older model.

I gave it 4 stars because I am not a fan of the integrated speakers and would not suggest them for listening to music. This is also color variations from angles greater than 45 degrees. I am using this setup for work, so not that big of as deal for me.

For those that like the frameless look, this is not for you. I hope this one lasts as long as my first one.

I purchased these monitors back in August. The monitors are nice and big and sit well with my eveo monitor arms. A few months after use, I notice a vertical line on the right side of my screen. I was hoping it was a driver, cable, or refresh rate issue.

Just my luck it was none of those. The 3 month grace period passed for me to return/exchange the product. Now I’m stuck with a monitor with a vertical line that’s going to get worse as time goes on. I’m usually particular about uniformity with the products I use, but once I render this monitor unusable I may replace with my dell monitor that I’ve had for 8 years with no issue.

Overall, I like ViewSonic, I purchase their 22″ monitors for work all the time, but this personal purchase left a bad taste in my mouth.

The monitor specs are top-notch for gaming and everyday needs. The picture quality is great. Brightness is wonderful too. I love this monitor so much. I have no complaints about it whatsoever. I highly recommend this product.

I bought two of these monitors, and they both have the same strange problem. Whenever they are powered on, or come on after going to sleep, they are in some bizarre mode where display quality ( particularly for text) is mediocre.

Text (whether it is black on white or white on black) has the rainbow effect. It almost looks like the monitor is not synched properly, or some other signal conditioning is not getting applied. I am running Ubuntu 16.

04 using DisplayPort, (with two different brands of cables) and have not tried any other connections. To correct the problem, I go to the menu and switch the ViewMode to a different setting (which fixes the problem), and then back to the ViewMode I want.

Apparently this “wakes up” some aspect of the monitor’s firmware, and the signal is properly displayed. Once operating properly, the monitors perform as expected for the price.

Monitor has good picture but mine out of the box displayed a medium sized black vertical line on the right side. I spent close to three hours of my professional time trying to get rid of it. Downloaded their driver, changed the HDMI cable, tried a different laptop, tried fudging with the gaming settings but could not get rid of the line.

Line shows even with no video cable connected. Description says monitor is 75 Hz but this frequency actually does not show up in the display settings options. Wanted to keep it but was marred by poor quality control.

Such vertical lines are usually caused by a bad ribbon inside, or a bad connection. Indicates poor QA and pretty much useless web support. Was a total waste of my time. Went with a refurbished 24 inch HP monitor from the jungle store for about the same price but worth a lot more.

Came out almost new and good picture. No lines.

This is IPS? Really? Can’t be. I’ve never had an IPS panel look this mediocre. From the major screen door effect to the bad viewing angle, to the bad colors, I have a hard time believing this is really an IPS panel.

For the price, my expectations weren’t high. But I work with a lot of different monitors and LCD panels, and this is worse than many TN panels even at the same price point. Also, doesn’t have Display Port, so no FreeSync with Nvidia cards.

Coming from a Gamer, this monitor is perfect as a secondary monitor for multitasking and much more, if you are not, it is a perfect fit for a great price at the same time. The colours are very good for the price and it takes a couple of days and it seems like the monitor has adapted to the colours demanding from my pc.

In the end, for this price and performance I strongly recommend.

This is a replacement for a 10+ year old monitor. I bought it because I re-did my office and wanted a white monitor. It was the only reasonably priced one I could find in the size I had room for. I am very pleased.

It works fine; the picture is great. And it looks wonderful in the decor of my office. So you get that I am not overly “techy” and the specs are most likely good. But again, I mostly settled for it because it was white in the right size.

It’s perfect for my use.

Nice crisp picture with quality stand. Ordered this for my son to fit on his small college dorm desk. Because these type of desks are designed to be bunked, the shelf on his desk was fixed and could not be removed.

He only had around 17″ to be able to slide it under a shelf. Most monitors use a cheaper fixed stand that doesn’t provide height adjustment. Only a few business monitors have this type of sliding stand and they were all more money.

The stand allows the monitor to be lowered enough to sit below the shelf and further back on the desk. He has a 14″ laptop set to the side and uses this 24″ monitor as the main screen to do drafting work on.

I’m sure he will use it for movies also when the ladies come over :). I liked that it has a display port and hdmi. Another advantage of this type of stand is that they can be rotated vertically. This is nice to view document pages one on top of the other instead of horizontally and requires less vertical scrolling.

I’m in IT and set the Dell and HP monitors up regularly. This one is as at least as good or better in picture and build quality. I would definitely buy this one again at the same price point.

Great office monitor. Adjustable height, swivels to portrait, VESA mountable, great color, easy on the eyes, excellent price and warranty. Even comes with a DP cable. We have employees clamoring to swap their 3 year old, $350 best of class monitors (at the time) for these.

That says a lot.

As of writing, I have had this monitor for a few months now and I must say I am very happy with it. Colours and text are crisp and it has many modes for different scenarios. It is nice for casual Photoshop and light editing work.

Its very enjoyable to game with as well, whether that be gaming on PS4 or PC. The panel is very bright as well. The speakers are average but acceptable. The viewing angles on this panel are pretty poor even for a TN technology.

My older monitor was also TN panel as well, but it had better viewing angles than this. You have to look at this monitor dead-on to get a good experience. The buttons for the control panel are slightly misaligned with the button stickers on the front of the monitor which is slightly annoying when adjusting the settings.

Overall, this is still an excellent monitor, and with a cheap price-tag like that, you getting a ton of bang for your buck. It has a few small drawbacks but I would still recommend this to people despite them.

I had put this monitor in the very peculiar position of being compared to a ~1000$ LG 1440p 34′ Ultrawide panel. When I realized how bad and inaccurate the colors of the monitor were, I went for a total upgrade, and for a few weeks it sat next to a monitor that completely outclassed it.

Now, of course IPS delivers more, and you get what you pay for, but this is getting less than what you pay for. If you imagine trying to reach the color black by furiously scribbling on paper with nothing but an HB pencil, that’s darkest black you’re gonna get (a dark, hazy grey).

Everything is extremely washed out. If I were to give it an eyeball estimate, this thing could reproduce about 75% of the RGB spectrum without compromising on other aspects of the image like gamma or contrast.

For you gamers out there, I beat fallout 4 on this thing. It’s probably the only time this monitor contributed to what I was looking at; really building that post-apocalyptic vibe.

While I did not buy this through Newegg, I have purchased two of these monitors and use them as dual monitors. Compared to other monitors I’ve seen in this price area, I must say I’m pretty impressed with these.

I show people stuff on my screens a lot so I needed something with a large viewing angle. This monitor does not get distorted looking at it from an angle but past about 45 degrees I would say it gets a small bit of a red tinge to it.

The matte finish doesn’t reflect too much. Blacks are fairly black and the backlight isn’t very noticeable on dark screens as long as the brightness isn’t extremely high. The speakers themselves don’t get very loud at all.

At both 100% Windows volume and monitor volume, it’s audible but not much more. They do sound fairly clear but unless the room you are in is silent, you’re going to need something more powerful. The stand the monitor sits on is fairly awkward in its shape.

From front to back it takes up 8 1/4 inches while my wife’s monitor which has the exact same dimensions as this one is only 6 1/2 inches from front to back. Those nearly two inches do make a bit of difference on a desk.

The monitor itself can be tilted a bit but the height cannot be adjusted. If it wasn’t for the fact I don’t use the internal speakers in my setup, I would probably rate this 4 eggs. But since that isn’t too much of an issue, I’d more rate it 4.

5 eggs due to the weird stand. As that is also more of a personal preference, I did round this up rather than down.

I bought this monitor because it was Blur Busters 2. 0 Approved. Its backlight strobing feature, “PureXP+”, its highly customizable with an “optional” software download. I put optional in quotation marks because, while it’s perfect after tuning the PureXP+ parameters, the factory presets are simply terrible.

Absolutely horrid. It shouldn’t require manual configuration to this extent. Viewsonic should put more effort into manually tuning PureXP+ at the factory. If I didn’t have to spend so long tuning it manually, I would have given it five stars.

IšverstiShow in original languageBought this a week ago from BB when on sale for $399. I have a powerful gaming rig that can do 2k-4k but opted not to cause I like frame rates and smoothness and 1080p doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Coming from LG 75hz IPS this monitor has not disappointed. I’m not even using Gsync or Pure XP mode and I have no screen tearing or stutters and the image is fantastic. Shooters now have amazing clarity just on default.

With PureXP on, it’s even sharper. Colors are fantastic, of course because of IPS panel. Some reviews claimed the HDR was weak in contrast and brightness but when I switched it on in Windows, no calibration yet and watched some HDR content, it was lit up like a Christmas tree.

Made my eyes hurt it’s so bright. Colors are extremely vivid. I had to tone it down from 50 to 30. Well built, doesn’t feel cheap. Nice metal stand with telescoping and 90 degree so you can play your pinball games or other arcade Mame games correctly.

Headset rest and mouse tether built in ( man I love this) and 2 optional side blinders come with it to block glare from windows if you need to use them. The monitors RGB also syncs to a Cooler Master case so you can mimic what you’ve set on your case if you like that sort of thing.

The input lag is non existent even if you set it at Standard. I’m EXTREMELY preceptive to input lag from gaming consoles and PC usage on bad monitors and tv’s and it is non perceivable from Standard to Fastest.

I Play Planetside 2 which requires high accuracy and reaction especially at medium to long distances and have no issues at all, even with Gsync enabled. If you want constant bias lighting from the rear rgb, you will have to either set it from the case software or download the monitors software as the presets in the monitors settings are limited to just on/off/breathing and strobe in specific colors.

plenty of inputs, HDMI 2. 0, Display Port 1. 4, earphone and actually decent 3w speakers that are above average for a monitor if you ever need back up. It’s really a great monitor. Be prepared to spend the first few hours playing games and playing with PureXp and then Gsync cause it’s a different wonderful experience using both.

One note if your not familiar with IPS monitors: They have the best color and image and are much more advanced with refresh rates and input lag than years ago compared to TN and VA panels but there is an IPS glow effect in the corners which is because of the angle of the pixels to give you that IPS image.

If you move your head in front of the corners, it’s not visible. You can only see this on a pure black screen if you are in total darkness, which is not how you use IPS monitors. For this, setting the brightness down masks it a lot as well as setting it on a n ECO mode, which I use 24/7.

There’s small, really small, lighting increase in a few spots on top and bottom in the same 2 places that is not a defect. If you move your angle to eye level with it, it’s not visible. It’s inherent of the tech and backlight bleed is in every form of panel tech.

You can only see it if the brightness is cranked. Under normal PC usage and in games, none of this appears and none of the image is washed out in those places. You can return monitors and try again but panel lottery with monitors and tv’s are a crap shoot.

Could be worse from what I’ve seen posted from other monitor manufacturers.

IšverstiShow in original languageI got this monitor after trying out the Samsung Odyssey G9 for about a month and then returning for a variety of reasons. This was the replacement I landed on and it’s great! Before the Odyssey G9, I was using a Dell S2716DGR, and this screen feels faster in its response rate and has much better image clarity and color.

I’ve used it at both 144Hz and 165Hz with zero issues. And wow, some of the colors just pop! The reds and blues are so red and blue! On my previous G9 monitor, I didn’t need to tweak the color or brightness setting even a little, so I just used the straight out of the box settings and was very happy.

For the ViewSonic out of the box, the color settings were decent but brightness was very dim. I was extremely disappointed actually, but then I discovered that “ECO” mode was on so brightness would only go up to 40.

I turned off ECO mode and eventually landed on 60 brightness as my favorite spot and it looked great. I also configured the panel R,G,B color settings (the color values, not the RGB LEDs on the outside of the monitor) from one of the review sites and paired that with the ViewSonic drivers and ICM profile (the ICM gets installed automatically with the drivers) in Windows 10.

This was my first IPS panel, and I was surprised by the amount of “silvering” that it had in comparison to any of my previous monitors. It was easy to deal with just by changing the viewing angle, but it was rather jarring at first.

That’s not an issue with this monitor, but rather with the IPS panel type that the monitor uses. The RGB effects on the exterior of the monitor are nice IMO. They light up behind and underneath the monitor giving a gentle glow on my desk underneath and behind the monitor.

You can turn it off or set it to rainbow, flashing, breathing, or static with just the monitor. Never tried the ViewSonic software. The stand looks great and is very sturdy, but it takes up a lot more room than the old Dell monitor did.

I mounted it to a VESA stand with zero issues. Now, this part is entirely subjective. I could never get used to the way this monitor looked after having gotten used to the contrast ratio and the lack of “silvering” on the Odyssey G9.

I eventually swapped this monitor for a different monitor with a VA panel, but that is no fault of this monitor. I should never have considered an IPS panel since I want such an extreme contrast ratio, but I didn’t know that’s what I wanted until I already had this one.

Would I recommend this monitor for gaming or media viewing (Netflix, YouTube, etc. )? Absolutely! Just be aware that it won’t have the same contrast ratio as a VA panel, like the Odyssey G9 had. If I’d never had the G9 in the first place and just upgraded directly from the old Dell, then I probably wouldn’t have even realized how different the contrast ratio could be.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this to replace a 15+ year old NEC 2070NX (which is still going strong!). I just wanted something a little bigger with a slightly faster refresh rate. I mainly do photo editing but also watch movies and game on occasion.

The picture and build quality of this monitor is very good. The only thing wrong with my monitor is that there are several VERY noticeable areas of backlight bleed. It’s bad enough that it should have been caught during QAQC testing.

However, there are no dead or stuck pixels, which is pretty impressive. I chose to keep the monitor because I was worried that I might get another one with something worse wrong with it. I’m still quite happy with the monitor, but the backlight bleeding is an annoyance.

(International Purchase) Received in good condition. No issues, no dead pixel. SRGB mode IPS color reproduction needs a few tweaks, but overall good. Bright monitor even at 40% brightness. Works well with it, using DisplayPort for it to work with NVidia EVGA gtx 1650 super.

Fairly New. Will update review along the way. One thing to note, all cables are provided. so, no need to buy an extra unless you want or have too.

Im not sure what it was but this monitor looked horrible! Im using a GTX 1650 Super so its not a high end GPU, but wow did this monitor look sub 1080p. I have a two monitor acer nitro xf243y setup and those look way better than this one.

Even worse on the PS5, I played Ghost of Tsushima for a couple mins and the scenery looked jagged and not very pleasing to the eye. I returned it after a day and yes i did play with the settings. Oh and it still had a DVI port, that’s an old.

Comes with DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort cabling in the box. Stand is already attached, just need the base/bottom attached to that and you’re good to go. The fastest/easiest time I had setting up a monitor yet.

Has FreeSync, and as far as I know, it seems that it works with the new NVIDIA gsync drivers. I tested it briefly with Battlefield V and I didn’t have any obvious problems right away. Works great, has lots of nice features from Asus like blue light filtering, extensive menu options, and 7 color profiles.

Price is higher than normal 1080p monitors, and you can get a good IPS 1440p, 144Hz monitor for less than $100 more, but my computer isn’t really capable to use 1440p/144hz unless it’s on all lower settings at lower FPS than I could get in 1080p.

Not a trade-off that’s worth it for me right now. I play lots of FPS games, including Battlefield, CSGO, Overwatch, and I’m glad I went with this monitor. I have recently tried TN and VA panels and this is ideal for what I look for in a monitor.

TNs have the best gaming performance for sure, but their colors and viewing angles are pretty bad; VA panels are a nice compromise between TN and IPS but there can be ghosting/some kind of issue in gaming and response times can be pretty bad.

Was unpleasant for me so I couldn’t use VA. IPS has the great colors, decent response times, and overall great panels. Finally can use one at 1080p! The 27″ screen is nice, some people complain about this resolution at this size, but I don’t mind it.

I’m not too picky, however. I think it helps when gaming, compared to something like a 24″. Overall, very happy with it in the 2-3 days I’ve used it so far.

Got this for the USB-C connection. Was connecting to a Surface Pro 7 through a Surface Dock 2. The USB-C to HDMI adapter didn’t work well this way. With the USB-C direct from the Dock to the screen, connects every time I plug the dock into the Surface Pro 7.

Otherwise, looks great, good color, built in speakers (adequate for basic desktop use), and reasonable price for a USB-C monitor. The downside, no USB hub (if it did, I wouldn’t need the Dock). That would have increased the price too much.

This monitor is perfect for WFH, it works on both PC/MAC. You should download the driver for PC, MAC works out of the box. I had to get a separate thunderbolt 3 cable, luckily we had them at work($40).

Did not work at first, after driver installation and reboot, I had to plug in laptop first then the power to the monitor and boom it works. Sometimes I have to repeat process for MAC, but PC seems to work fine.

Tested on Dell E7480 and MBP(2018) 15″ and 13″.

For the price, this is a great screen. However, each time I want to use it I need to unplug it and plug it back in for it to recognize my laptop. Not sure why this is the case but it’s really annoying.

Once it’s on and working though, it’s great.

I bought this monitor over the summer months for school without buying a warranty, and opened it and tried it to make sure it worked, then put it back in the box until school commenced. 2 months later I started using it for school (so I was outside my Best Buy return date) and it started taking 5/10 minutes to turn on.

To me this wasn’t a huge deal, until it started taking 1-5 hours to turn on (it was just a loop of the logo). Fastforward to now, it is completely dead and will turn on occasionally (maybe once every 3 days).

I regret this purchase and had to buy another monitor. Not worth it. Would recommend buying a warranty with this one. Other than the whole turning on issue I will say that when it works, it works quite well.

Had this monitor for about a month now. It arrived the next day the courier who delivered it waited until had opened the door so I could take delivery. The monitor was very well packed it had no blemishes on it and came complete with cables.

Picture is excellent very easy to set and the height adjustment has a smooth action. Speakers on the monitor do sound a bit thin and tinny though. This is OK as I run my audio sound directly from my computer to a separate set of speakers.

Overhaul, very pleased with monitor and service from CCL computers. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have not had it long.

Very well built monitor that has a great picture, deep blacks due to the VA panel which is reasonably responsive considering its a VA – there are no signs of noticeable smearing during dark panning scenes in particular.

Fantastic built in speakers which is something monitors usually cut back on. 4k looks as good as you would expect and 1080p upscaling is handled well. All in all its a great monitor and probably one of the best VA monitors you can buy.

VERY NICE MONITOR. My older monitor developed some visual issues and I needed the dvi connection for my current computers. My current monitors have a resolution of 1440×900 and I thought that was pretty good.

I was about to be surprised and pleased! My plan was to test the new ASUS monitors and then store them until I had to replace the old monitors. But when I turned on the ASUS VA24EHE 23. 8 monitor, the difference was like night and day.

Working on typing, or excell projects are incredibly clear. Watching movies, either from my stored movies or yTube, it’s like being at a theater. I will be using the new ASUS monitors right away and using the old monitors on other computers.

I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS on the color rendoring, games are vivid, I have not noticed any black ghosting. The only negative is a slight light bleed through on dark blackout screens. But with a light behind the LEDs that is a tough image to correct.

I think the expensive OLED screens are the only ones that can have true black colors as they have no light behind the black colors. But for the price, the ASUS is more than what I would ever need. Now the ASUS screen is virtually boarderless.

This allows the visual screen to be larger than the old stock screens of the past with the frames encircling the screen. The large screen size is great for my eyes, and the 1900 resolution allows many windows on the screen.

If you couple this with linux where you can have multiple desktop screens, ( THIS IS A VERY NICE FEATURE ), you have almost unlimited screen space. There are no speakers in this monitor. Any additional connections always seem to create problems with my monitors.

This one is simply a great monitor, I really like how it reproduces the screens, pictures are just gorgeous, and Movies are fabulous. For the price, this ASUS monitor was the right choice for me. In fact, I bought 2 of them for my paired desktop computers I work with.

I am extremely pleased with this monitor and I do RECOMMEND this monitor if you have the connections for it. HDMI / DVI / VGA 220331 0926.

A outstanding monitor for the price! Very difficult to find slim bezels, an above average refresh rate, and a 1920×1080 ips panel on the cheap. This monitor hits all three. It’s gaming features make it an ideal choice as a monitor for a laptop gamer looking to expand their setup and the low price make it an excellent choice for a multi monitor setup! With a 75hz refresh rate it offers a step up in performance without over the top “gamer” aesthetics and retains a professional look.

It has been perfect as a primary monitor for my laptop docking station at home where it is used for work, video editing, and steam games. My only complaint is that the brightness is a little low but it is sufficient for most rooms and looks amazing at night.

Overall a great value monitor perfect for a work from home setup.

Simple, no-frills monitor. Seamless connectivity with my mac laptop. Great color rendition and resolution. Control adjustment on the back face take a little getting used to, but work just fine. For the price it’s pretty much faultless.

Strongly recommend.

UPS brought this by this morning and Ive had about 5-6 hours to mess with it and get it setup. Now I know this might seem odd for only having used this for a handful of hours to write a review so think of this as more of a first impressions sorta thing than a full review, which I will make at a later date if anything significant changes in how I feel about the product.

Picture quality if fantastic! With a myriad of adjustments at your fingertips, you can have this looking just like you want in no time. The he brightness options are great and the color is fantastic.

The only thing Ive found so far to take issue with is the HDR. I was under the impression HDR was suppose to make the picture better somehow but honestly it just seems to wash everything out. Mind you ive only used this for a limited time but my first impression is HDR is kinda meh frankly.

I will be trying more settings and trying to learn more about how each works to see if Im just missing something going forward so maybe HDR is really great, but out of the box impression is it just washes things out and makes them overly bright.

Thumbstick menu selection works nicely and the added crosshair settings for gaming is kinda neat/interesting but I havent had a chance to put them to the test yet, but overall the controls and settings feel robust with the many options available for tweaking the look of the monitor.

Threw a few movies on to see how they fare and dang do they look good! Fifth Element, Endgame and a handful of other titles that tend to be very colorful and contrasty really shine on this monitor. Havent gone through my entire library of 1000+ movies but the handful I did take for a test view look great! From old classics to new digitally mastered films all really looked wonderful.

I have a 4k LG monitor as my second screen and between the two, I gotta say this give the 4k a run for its money. Gaming on this monitor actually feels a lot more responsive than my previous 144hz monitor and im very excited by that.

Games look smashing on this. Everything feels smooth and snappy and just looks fantastic across the board. So far Im really impressed by the performance. Gonna crank up Cyberpunk later and see how that does but everything else has been grand so far.

One other thing of note is the clarity of text. I guess I hadnt noticed it because I was use to my old monitor and it wasnt very good, but the resolution and clarity of text is so much sharper on this monitor.

It really is kind of striking when you realize what youve been putting up with once youve gotten something that performs so much better. The text on webpages is sharp and clean whereas my old 144hz monitor there were places on the screen that tended to be blurry or hazy.

The overall quality is excellent, but I am knocking one star for two reasons. 1st, there is NO adjustability in the stands. No tilt, no height, and no rotate. This made the stands unacceptable, and I had to purchase a monitor mount/arm to use them at an acceptable position.

2nd, there is a black band that surrounds the screen making the “ultra small bezel” much less small in reality, which also makes the usable screen size less than portrayed. Other than these two points, this monitor is great.

I am running them at 50% brightness and they are still plenty bright. The image quality, resolution, and refresh are fantastic for the price. If you don’t mind the lack of adjustability and/or the fact you will need an adjustable monitor mount, and the fact there actually is an average “bezel” (though most of it is “on screen”), then I would definitely recommend these.

I do not regret the purchase at all.

I purchased this monitor for usage with a PS5 and to play competitive games like NHL 21, etc. The performance and the display is absolutely beautiful. The problem however with the monitor is as follows: 1.

The monitor will randomly adjust the brightness during gameplay significantly. It is incredibly distracting. The only way to reset this is if you turn it off and then on again. Imaging being in a 3-2 game, and your opponent goes on a breakaway and the brightness dims to almost an unviewable display.

(Yes, he scored on me. ) 2. I had called Asus support (offshore) to discuss the issue, and they were absolutely terrible. Basically told me to reset it and then it should be fine, it wasn’t. The tech was clearly troubleshooting from a menu system that told him what to say.

3. On the Asus forums, the display change is a known problem with the monitor and they have been aware of it for months. and have done nothing about it. At the price point of $400 plus, I would stay away.

4k UHD ultra-wide with great pixel density. Pros: Synced with my 6700 XT without issue. High build quality with sturdy stand. High speed DisplayPort cable included. Cons: No software included and not available directly on the product page.

Must hunt it down online. Monitor came with 2 dead pixels. The pixel density is so high, it’s barely noticable, but still very disappointing to see in a brand new monitor.

Great monitor for gaming and productivity. Being an IPS panel the colors are great but with the downsides of having less contrast when compared to a VA panel. Pick your poison I guess. Overall I am very happy after having switched from a Samsung G9 which while impressive was just too big for my desk.

OK monitor, but can’t get my 2070 RTX to work with this monitor in G-Sync mode, nor FreeSync. This is very little info on the web for this particular monitor. Took two stars out because of the needed sync support for gaming.

That’s the whole purpose in buying this.

Display looks great straight out of the box, with no adjustments. With 4 times the pixels but less than twice the screen area of my 21 monitor the smaller text and icons took some getting used to. If space, viewing distance, and budget allow a 32 might be better, but after a week I’m really happy with it.

Mine came with an HDMI cable instead of the DP cable it’s supposed to have. No idea if that was a one time packaging mistake for mine or a (temporary?) glitch at Viewsonic, but they shipped me a DP cable the afternoon that I called about it.

My only complaint is the lack of positive stops at the portrait and landscape positions when rotating the display, but it does stay in position (including height and up/down tilt, too) with no problem.
