20 Best Ipad Case For Protection (2023 Updated)

I have been using the New Trent Gladius iPad Pro Case for several days now and I have to say I love it. First off the packaging was done very well and easy to get into. Taking a minute and read the instructions will save yourself some time in the long run before you put the iPad in the case.

The case is a hard plastic with clips on the sides and tops that allow for the top and bottom to clip together and do so quite securely. The top cover has a clear plastic touch cover that will cover your iPad to help protect the face.

The iPad fits nicely in the back cover and the top again securely clips over the laptop to the bottom cover. Putting your rubber protective cover back on is pretty simple and you are done. The stand is the plus for the case and believe me, my son uses the iPad rugged and it withstands all accidents and holds well.

Now that the case is together the unit as a whole feels very secure and solid. The case is in great quality. The case offers port openings for access to all the connections on the iPad and has a rubber cover over the Home button.

Turning the cover over shows the leather strap and a brushed alloy stand that is mounted in the cover. The leather strap is a nice addition and gives your hand something to slide into to help secure your iPad during usage.

The built in stand can be a little tough to get to come out the first few times but once you do it again seems very secure and firm. The leather strap and stand are in a swivel section that allow you to use them in either landscape or portrait mode.

Again this is a really nice feature. The cover holds the iPad securely even its handled rugged, I need to clean the case once in a while after he touches the screen with food and other eatables. The case looks slim but sturdy and Overall I give the unit a 5 out of 5.

It does exactly what it is designed to do.

Awesome. I use this on my Ipad daily in a manufacturing environment. It keeps my Ipad clean and protected from the occasional bump. It was the only cover I found that had the hand strap on the back, which was my primary reason for purchase.

The strap is adjustable and very comfortable. I carry my Ipad and use it on the manufacturing floor for at least two hours at a time daily and in meeting throughout the day. I have never felt like I would drop the Ipad or that it was uncomfortable writing on it.

I use my Ipad with a handwriting App. I have been paperless since this purchase with the combination of the Ipad, Case, Apple Pen and Nebo. My pen tip is lasting noticeably longer than a peer with a different cover on his Ipad.

I have used the stand rarely, and experienced no issues that I had read in other reviews.

I’ve been through a few iPad Pro cases some where good and somewhere great for durability. But when it comes to durability, comfortability, mobility, and quality I would recommend this case for your iPad.

By looking at the strap it looks very easy to replace (with non original type strap) if the original broke. What I like the most is that it has a removable leather strap that’s also adjustable. This allows me to hold my iPad comfortably and draw which was one of my main reasons for buying this case.

Also when I comes to making a video or taking a picture it does come in handy. It takes a little getting used to for the camera aspect. Since the handle rotates (8 “locking” points, every 45 degrees) it allows you to get angles you normally have trouble using the iPad the traditional way.

Oh and it looks like the metal kick stand can open your beer. haven’t tested it yet.

I like it! Waterproof outer cover. Apple pencil fits in provided slot. Casing feels durable. Protective enough for ipad esp. with a kid using it most of the time. I like how it comes with built in screen protector.

Purchased for using my iPad pro for concerts – looks very smart and professional, folds back fully and the elastic keeps the folded cover in place, it sits on a music stand without any problems. The only slight drawback is that it is quite heavy to hold for any length of time, but leather is heavy I guess.

It makes the iPad slightly heavier to hold than a folder of music, but still more convenient.

Really satisfied with this cover. I have tryed many covers, but this is the top. It smells like real leather should do. It’s stable in every position, and works really great. Could not be more happy with this.

Had a Torro case on my old IPad. When acquired a new one decided to buy another case as the old one after a few years needed replacing due to having dropped it a couple of times. It did though prevent damage to the IPad.

Appears to be made to same standard.

I had one similar but was seemingly very heavy and made my iPad look very bulky. The screen protect and lean look got me to try this out. This fits the my ipad to its T. Inserting the ipad into the case took bit of effort.

This was kind of nice as the end result was a very tight fitting case. I use this with external keyboard and for video calls. So having a kickstand was a primary requirement. Wish it also had a support for portrait mode.

But serves my purpose. Overall weight is surprisingly light.

This product is excellent. This is my third iPad and I have never had any complaints with this tablet. I had to do a backup from my original iPad to make this a mirror image and I worked with Apple representative and they watch me right through it.

I would recommend this for anybody looking for a quality Tablet.

The NewTrent Gladius Mini iPad case was provided to me at a greatly discounted price for purposes of testing it. The case starts out right with excellent package design and instructions for the case.

Since the instructions say to clean the iPad screen, it would have been good to include a screen wipe. The front and back of the built-in screen protector come protected with self-adhesive disposable blue screen cover sheets which are removed when needed to make sure the final installation has no debris or scratches left behind.

The case itself is an excellent three piece protective design that is not found on other cases. The two internal thermoplastic hardshell pieces snap together in a way with 2 clips per edge that ensures the internal case is solid and stays together even if the case is dropped.

The screen is covered at the edges by the hardshell so no impact to the edges of the iPad can take place. The external TPU case is designed so that it fits the hardshell case like a glove. The edges fit into grooves in the hardshell which makes the entire unit seem like one piece even though it is three.

This also provides for a smooth feel to the whole front of the unit. The feel of the case also assures me that my iPad is being well protected. There is no way this case would ever come apart if dropped.

The great design guarantees that. Ports are well protected with high quality TPU pieces that don’t feel like they would ever break off. They also will keep dust and water out. The buttons are covered by raised parts of the case that work well and are easy to feel and see without needing to look where your fingers are placed.

The screen protector enables the touch screen to be used just like the cover was not even there with a smooth feel and no glare or visual deterioration. The speakers, microphone and camera lenses still function well and are not inhibited by the case.

The back of the case has a hardy looking metal stand to use for watching video or with a bluetooth keyboard. The adjustable leather hand strap and rotation mechanism work well and look add to the professional look of the case.

If you do not like the leather strap you can always remove it and then the rotating back still functions to change the orientation for the stand from landscape to portrait. The only feature would like to be added to this case would be a a snap on front travel cover that fits over the case to provide additional protect when the iPad is not in use.

Overall I love this case and can see it outlasting my iPad.

This is really a nice rugged case for your iPad. This particular model will only fit the iPad Air and Air 2. This case has a hard inner clam shell, with built in screen protector, and a soft outer body to protect your gear.

It was easy to take the case apart and there were no issues with the iPad fitting, but the manufacturer does recommend you remove any skin or screen protector on your iPad before putting it in this case to ensure proper fit.

The hard inner clam shell snapped together smoothly and the soft outer rubber shell wrapped around the case with ease. The corners feel solid, affording added protection from bumps and drops. The screen protector still allowed smooth finger swiping and responsive tapping, and the indent for the Home/Touch ID sensor made it easy for your finger to lay on the button for quick unlock.

The case protects your volume control and on/off sleep/wake button, and a there’s a dust cover for the headphone jack and Lightning connector. They are vents over your iPad’s stereo speaker to allow unrestricted sound.

The back of the case has an adjustable leather strap, and offers 360-degree rotation as you’re holding it. It was nice to see an included kickstand to prop your iPad, and because of its ability to rotate, you can prop your iPad either vertically or horizontally.

The soft strap was comfortable on the back of my hand and holding the iPad for an extended period of time didn’t feel cumbersome. I also liked the ability to rotate the screen while still holding it in my hand.

Overall, I really like this case for its ruggedness, smooth feel, and easy handling. None of the functions of the iPad are taken away when wrapped in the protective case. And protection is what is provides.

It’s durable enough for use at work, but still thin and aesthetically pleasing for home use.

My new iPad Air is very thin and light, really nice features to look at and hold; however, I find that I often use it walking around, showing something to someone else, or using it to reference service manuals in a shop environment.

When I think of the cost of my iPad while using it this way, thin and light concern me. I don’t want thick and heavy, just something I won’t drop easily and that has a more durable feel. The New Trent Gladius Air case removed my fears.

It provides full protection to the Air on all surfaces plus it has a leather strap on back to slip your hand into. You’re not going to drop it and it is armored against spillage and most other accidents.

It’s apparent to me that there was a lot of attention to detail in the design of the Gladius Air. There is a full encompassing hard inner shell that the iPad fits securely into. The screen protector is an integral part of this shell; nothing to try to fit on smoothly without dust, fingerprints and air bubbles.

The leather strap is also part of this. It has a solid hold on what holds the iPad. Before you put the iPad in you can adjust the strap for your hand size. It has a double row of holes on either end that hook over a set of pins.

It will adjust for three different size hands. Also, this part has a built-in stand that can be extended with you finger. The stand is metal with a latching brace that slides automatically into place as it extends.

When not in use, the stand fits into a recess just its size with a click. This inner shell drops into a softer outer shell that provides bumper protection all around. The outer shell covers the sound switch, earphone and charging ports with nice rigidly molded flaps.

The flaps have small molded tabs that allow them to be easily flipped open with a fingertip. All of the pseudo-switches feel good and operate crisply. Another level of detail I found interesting was that the shells have arrow symbols molded onto them that indicate where to press for disassembly, should you want to remove your iPad.

When I discover small details like this, the buckle arrangement for the leather strap and the stand latch it makes me believe all of the materials and production received this attention too. The leather strap’s mount rotates all the way around with detents every 45 degrees.

The detents are another plus. I don’t believe I would want the iPad to just swivel around on its own. Unfortunately, there is one thing negative I must say: the rotating mount was unnecessarily difficult to turn when it was new.

It appears though to be mating in as I use it. I am extremely pleased with it and recommend it highly. Without a doubt, this is a five star product!.

iPad case slips right onto your iPad easily. Gives it adequate protection. Got it on sale, but would have paid full price. Has a pencil holder also. Great buy.

This is my second purchase of this tablet case. The first one did what it was designed to…protect my iPad. In that act of course the outer frame was cracked… but thankfully no damage to my iPad, so why not go with a proven replacement.

Brought this case for my 12 yr old son. Didn’t want to spend 80 bucks for the defender so o decided to try this instead. Thank god i did. He’s doing great with, especially since my 2 year old constantly uses it.

Its very durable, not too bulky. Overall its a very good buy.

My sport/pastime is long distance cross country trekking, so accurate map reading is essential. I use the OS live mapping/tracking app, but can now upgrade from iPhone to iPad mini – great since my 76-year-old eyes need all the help they can get! I already have a case by the same maker for my iPhone, which has been soak tested (not intentionally!) on two or three occasions, with no leakage.

So I was especially pleased to get an identical, larger case from the same maker. I’ve taken it out to play three times so far, including in the recent snow, and it’s been perfect. Photo images are excellent, and touch screen still works fine.

And the wide, sturdy lanyard is excellent for map reading on the move. Only one little niggle, since I’m usually viewing and using the camera with the iPad camera-down and home button up, a second camera aperture opposite end would be useful.

No issue with the mapping, of course, as the screen auto-rotates. But aside from that, brilliant.

Ideal for outside use. My only grip is that I wish the camera window was at the opposite end as you would then be able to just to lift the iPad up and take a picture without having to invert the bag and also the strap is too wide and short.

well built case. very sturdy built in strap. only issue was with the screen protector that comes with it. removed it and replaced it with a Tempered Glass Screen Protector for the added protection which made this a complete perfect protective case for my ipad 10.

2 as the one that comes with the case felt like a cheesy thin plastic no thicker than a napkin. which did not offer any real protection to it. outside of that awesome case would recommend it to others as I have purchased other cases from sahara in the past for other items and have not been wrong yet.

some day would like to see a add on for the case like otterbox has (versatile shield stand – that not only doubles as a stand but as a outer screen protection to fully enclose the case when not in use should it fall off a desk.

A quality item, well designed down to the last details. The case is rugged and yet easy to take apart and snap back into place. The hand strap and kickstand in the back are delightfully useful—the kickstand stays in place and can prop up the iPad in either landscape or portrait mode (I set it upside down in portrait mode).

Holder for Apple Pencil is the perfect size. All around elegant design and sturdy construction. I’m thrilled!.

I’ve had my Gripcase for over 8 years now. It still looks as good as when I got it (I got the black one) and I still absolutely love it!!! I use it everyday and teach at a university so it goes with me from home to school, and to all my classes.

I used to have trouble with cracked/shattered glass, but not since I got the Gripcase. My favorite feature besides protecting the glass is the built-in carrying handles. It makes it so easy to carry it even when my arms are full.

The case also serves as a great way to prop it up at an angle. At home, I have the stand accessory that is also a Gripcase product (that’s my favorite way to prop it up). In my office, I prop it up on a stapler, a mug, or anything I have on my desk at the time.

It’s super stable and nonslip, and I can always manage to get it the perfect angle. I’m now buying a 6th gen iPad which has slightly smaller dimensions, so it’s time to get a new Gripcase!.

The Gripcase is more than meets the eye. The design protects the Mini iPad screen because the frame of the Gripcase projects above the screen and on every side. If you drop your iPad face down the iPad stays suspended above the floor.

At first sight, I wanted to immediately return it, but decided to try it out instead. It’s quite a bit larger than expected and altogether odd to the touch. The color is a bright blue (almost an ugly color that clashes with everything) instead of the teal I thought I had ordered.

After using the Gripcase for a few days, I have decided to keep it. It won’t take the place of my streamlined case when leaving home – it’s too large to slip into my purse, but I find it suits me at home.

I use this case for The restaurant Ipad. It is often moved around by different people considering we use it for hosting. It has a kickstand which is pretty handy but is also light weight and durable as long as you can get over the clunky appearance.

I was looking for a case to protect my iPad Air from falls and corner knocks and with some screen protection as well as having an easel back. This does everything except the easel only works for horizontal viewing, not vertical.

My daughter had a different case that was just too bulky and could only stand one way. which was a little tilted. This case is amazing! You can stand it any way you like. take it to your car and hang it on the seat! I was hoping to get one case just like this one for my other daughter’s ipad but unfortunately they don’t make it for hers since its an older model! It’s such a beautiful and strong case! I’ve already recommended it to friends and family.

This is my third in this style of case, ( I have also for several years used the previous model without the wiggly arms – bought about 5 of those ) and so far I am very pleased with it. The kids dig it, the wiggly arms that I thought would be in the way they ( they are removable ) are actually a really great added bonus.

The kids tie them around and use them like a stand. Have not tried them in the car yet though. The case itself is sturdy and has survived several drops already. ( I always have one of those glass screen protectors on the iPads themselves for added security and there is no issue with clearance ) Great case and very happy with it.

This IPad cover was better than I expected. I love the Emerald color and the transparent back of the cover. It is sturdy and fits perfectly. It forms a stand easily.

I ordered the Studio Case for my Apple IPad and it is exactly what I need. I can be hands-free when necessary. It is sturdy and attractive. The employee who helped me was great and made sure I got just what I needed.

I bought this as a second case for my iPad Mini 5th Gen and it has become my go-to case. It’s much better than the other case I bought from Amazon. The case has a tight fit around the edges and is extremely light.

This helps take advantage of the Mini’s portability and ease for holding. It’s got a good feel when holding in your hand in portrait mode which is how I most often use this.

It worked great at first but became very flimsy and not reliable. I prefer something more sturdy/durable. If I could improve it I’d make the entire outer edge hard plastic. It was a decent case so I would recommend it to others.

I purchased this cover on 29th April 2021, not 3 weeks later the iPad I have had for 3 years had a severely cracked screen. I had placed it on the counter and the ‘grip’ failed as the IPad slid forward and off the edge of the counter onto the floor facedown.

Staples took the cover back and gave me a full refund when they saw the extensive damage. Cost to purchase this cover was $51. 95CAN. Cost to repair the cracked screen $300. 00CAN. Save your money and do not buy this substandard cover.

My 6th Gen. iPad was pristine when I placed it in this. If I could give zero I would.

Bought for my husband. He had one before that lasted quite a few years. We needed to find a new cover for his iPad 1st generation but the ones we could find were so cheap. Then I decided to look up Solo (which was the cover that we were replacing that he loved).

To my surprise they were still selling the Vector Slim Case. Although the price is a little higher than what I could find for other covers, I knew that the quality of the item was worth it. We received the item and it is identical to the item we were replacing so my husband is very satisfied.

I bought an iPad Air 2 and went looking for a new case. I am a quadriplegic with limited use of my shoulders, arms and hands. My hands have very little grip strength, so I have a specific criteria when looking at cases for my Apple products.

I looked at Best Buy, Target and Walmart with no luck. Online searches are not helpful because I need to hold the case. After Sunday coffee in a little shopping mall, I went to Staples to search. I found the Solo Vector Slim Case and it was perfect.

The texture of the outside case is rubberized and very easy for me to hold. The magnetic closure is ideal. The inside cover has a rubber mesh that holds the iPad up at various angles. The rubber mesh is also perfect for me when I fold the cover back and rest the case on my leg.

My iPad will not slide off my leg. Unfortunately, Staples didn’t have the case size I needed so I ordered directly from the Solo website. Shipping was fast my case arrived a day earlier than expected.

The Vector is Perfect for me and my iPad Air 2, it has all the features I want in an iPad case. The Vector is priced competitively with cases of this type. Plus, when I find a product that works for me like the Vector.

I’m willing to pay a little more for the product. This type of case is ideal for quads who have limited grip strength. I will share my new iPad and Vector case with my Wheels Connect friends at our next get together.

Good case with solid feel. Feature to stand up screen is very good. BUT, the lines inside that allow for the screen to stand up leave lines on the screen itself when the case is closed. Not sure if over time this will be an issue or not.

Sturdy well built case. Easy clasp close. Stand up feature works very nice. Much better than more expensive one I had previously. Would definitely purchase again.

A very nice young man helped me and I did have my iPad with me. When I returned home I found the case constantly powered down. This was not for my IPad Air 2. I returned it. They were great about the return!.
