This case is rugged and water resistant. We use this IPad in the yard that is dusty and rugged. It has saved our pad from 6’ drops and getting banged around.

As my old iPad case wore out, it was time to look for a new one. I purchased the brand that I originally used only to find that something had changed. When viewing videos or FaceTiming, I like to place the pad on my chest or stomach.

I immediately realized a significant drop in volume and found that the “speaker” ports on the new case were not designed like the previous case. The new design only allowed the sound to drop out thru the bottom of the case.

The previous design “scooped the sound FORWARD towards the viewer increasing volume and clarity. After returning the case I purchased and inspecting numerous other brands, I realized that Targus was the only brand that still utilize that feature.

Too bad for the short sightedness of those other brands. BTW, the mic ports at the top of the pad utilize that same feature also.

Like the others comments. This product is flawed. It didn’t really grip on to my device and the corners of my iPad kept coming out. They claim that it passed 4ft drop testing, but Even with the “protective†case/flap/cover for the screen it didnt protect my device for merely 3†drop.

I contacted Targus and referred to their military grade material and 4ft drop testing, but they said that “the device continued to work after the testing. We do not state that no damage occurred during testingâ€.

So if your device broke while it is fully enclosed in this “protective “ cover they will tell you that they are not liable. So if you buy this “protective†case it might or might not protect your device from any drops.

and if breaks it an “oh well†for them.

I bought this case for my daughter’s iPad Mini just under 2 months ago. It is a very nice looking, case that seems sturdy and has the 360 rotation functionality she was looking for in a case. Unfortunately she dropped the case on a wood floor yesterday and the case broke.

The good news is that the iPad was protected, The bad news is that the 360 rotation is accomplished by snapping a plastic disc on the case that goes on the back of the iPad into a plastic disc in the cover and a small piece of plastic that is part of the catch on a removable disc broke off (see arrow in picture).

I called customer service, and the person I spoke with couldn’t have been nicer, BUT informed me that the “Limited Lifetime Warranty” doesn’t cover drops, which I get, and that there are no parts available to repair the cases.

That is the frustrating part. I would pay for one of these replacement discs, they must have a million of them, and could fix the case in seconds and be perfectly happy with the product. Unfortunately, my only option (assuming glue doesn’t work) is to buy a new case, and it won’t be from this company.

Over the years, my wife and I have bought over five iPads. I´ve lost count of how many iPhones my wife has had. We always buy official Apple accessories (cables, chargers, folios etc. ) I mention this upfront so that you understand that what follows comes from a loyal customer and not some Android fanboy just having a whiny rant.

It´s a loyal customer having a whiny rant. I decided to buy my wife a smart folio for her iPad Pro as a birthday present. It was a great disappointment. In fact, I would go so far as to say it doesn´t work.

We have always bought Apple Smart Folios for our iPads. We had tried cheaper third-party products, but I guess you get what you pay for. Though the Apple Smart Folios were far more expensive, there was no doubt that they were extremely well made from quality materials and worked extremely well.

When my wife bought her new iPad Pro, financial constraints obliged her to get a cheap third part cover. For months she was grumbling about how light weight and flimsy it was, how it wasn´t anywhere near as good as the Apple iPad folios, and how she wished she had had the money to afford a proper Apple iPad folio for her new iPad.

I can take a hint. I bought one for her birthday. At first, she was delighted with her present. But within hours she was beginning to complain about the new design. Earlier versions of the Smart Folios wrapped around the edge of the iPad and held it in firmly in place.

The new version only holds the iPad in place magnetically. You can convince yourself that this is sufficiently robust – as many reviews here seem to do – but it really isn´t. It is possible to dislodge the iPad with only moderately vigorous swiping.

If you adjust your position whilst lying recumbent in bed it is very easy to dislodge the iPad from the cover. If you are unlucky, your iPad will tumble with a crash onto the floor leaving you holding the Smart Folio flapping forlornly in the wind.

None of these things ever happened with previous incarnations of the Smart Folio. My wife and I have both had our own iPads since 2011. That´s 20 person years of use without incident. I hope Apple see sense and reconsider this design decision for future iterations of the Smart Folio.

If they are wedded to the magnetic Smart Folios they think they look cool, well they could produce two versions – one magnetic and one wraparound. (They already effectively produce two versions with the cover and the Smart Folio, so I guess one more will make three).

Heck, if cost is an issue, they can charge even more for the wraparound version. I´ll be the first to slap down my hard-earned dosh for a pre-order. But I only want something that works.

I am used to buying iPad covers with a keyboard attached and the image of the thin magnetically held cover seemed both insecure and expensive. However, the availability of a portable keyboard that could be used with various devices, and the inconvenience of heavy keyboard covers led me to give the smart folio a try.

I will never buy another keyboard cover. The Apple cover is expensive. However, it has protected my iPad from falls, briefcase debris, and other mishaps. It also folds into at least two useful positions – and allows the iPad to be charged while being used.

In short, it is simple, light, effective, and elegant. Now to find a Bluetooth keyboard that is the same (smile).

99 at my local Best Buy. I still see no justification for $80 for a rubberized cardboard cover. This gives you the bare minimum of protection. Since I’m generally very careful with my iPad Pro 11″ anyway, that’s not a big deal.

I’ve used a few 3rd party protection gimmicks and they add some bulk and weight to my iPad Pro. This folio cover does not. Bottom line, if you don’t mind paying Apple premium prices for a bare bones folio cover, by all means, get this.

But if the price is too much and you already dropped $$$$ on your iPad Pro and don’t want to fork out even more, there are $20 alternatives that may feel cheap but at least give you something that provides more protection.

I love my new iPad it is a little bit heavier the my iPad 3 but not that it is really noticeable. It is fast and I purchased the 128 GB. Glad I did it is worth the extra money. I want to mention a word about the salesmen who assisted me.

I explained I wanted to purchase a new iPad could he help me. He explained each product in a concise manner and answered each question I had. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I made my selection of the product and wanted some accessories to go with it, like a case and screen cover.

He also helped me make those selections. I was very impressed with the fact that not only was he courteous, knowledgeable and helpful but not once did he make me feel like he was even aware that the store had been closed for over 45 minutes by the time I was done.

In fact he asked if he could help me with any other purchases. I felt ithat he should be acknowledged for a job well done. He deserves a thank you for a superb job. You rarely encounter a sales person like him in today’s day and age.

It came with a clear and well-written instruction and a cable. The texture on the case is printed, so it’s actually smooth (not a dust magnet). The whole case is magnetic to enable a wide range of positions for the wireless keyboard, which connects to my iPad Pro without an issue every time.

I bought this product and it’s really nice. The keyboard has an ok battery life, I charged it to 100% and it lasted me about 5-6 hours. The stylus holder is really helpful and I like that you can turn off the keyboard backlights, let it stay on one color, or turn them off.

But if you have on the backlights the battery will decrease. It is a very nice case though and it makes my iPad feel really protected.

The title pretty much covers it. It was amazing and worked beautifully until it didn’t. The battery died after a full day of use and after a full night of charging I turned it back on only to have all of the lights turn right back off and all keys become unresponsive.

The touch pad and the down key oddly work though. So far tech support has been less than useless so I guess I’m just gonna have to chalk this up to a hundred dollar loss. Really annoying.

I love this keyboard case. It has a lighted keyboard. The keys are responsive. It holds a charge for over a month. It also is flexible for viewing at different angles. It is truly the best value keyboard cover.

The only issue I have is that my hands are big and I end up hitting the touchpad and it causes my cursor to move while I’m typing.

Pros: Deceptively small. This keyboard is only about 1. 5 inches wider than my Ipad Air 3, yet the keys are full sized. Love the function buttons along the top for controlling music, locking, etc. The keys have decent travel.

Feels solid. Cons: There is no power pass through, so you need to chose between keyboard use and device charging. This means you will be frequently plugging and unplugging the keyboard. Which is a significant hassle, and will wear out the keyboard’s cable and plug.

There is no lightning splitter that I have found that would allow simultaneous keyboard use and device charging; all the lightning splitters available just work for headphones. When the permanently attached cable goes bad, the whole keyboard will be going in the trash.

Which will almost certainly happen eventually. The keyboard sits totally flat with no tilt adjustment. To fix that I attached it to two rubber doorstops with double sided tape, to give it more of an angle for comfortable typing.

Sure “feels” rugged when you first pick it up. And when I got it and tried it out, it worked fine. But today, ready to finally get to work on my project, nothing. Doesn’t work on my iPad 8th Gen or my phone.

I purchased this to take along on vacations so I could journal (and ultimately blog) about my journeys. The first test was just completed: a 2-week cruise around Alaska (Ketchikan, Endicott Arm, Juneau, Hoonah, Anchorage, Kodiak, Homer, and Sitka).

I wanted a full-sized keyboard, portable, and easy to manage that would work with my iPad Pro. I chose this for the size, the fact that it is powered via my iPad (rather than needing to be charged), and the fact that it’s a wired connection via the lightning cable rather than Bluetooth.

Nothing against Bluetooth, but not having to deal with pairing simplifies things a lot. This performed beautifully! Connected easily, and no problems at all with performance. It has some nifty shortcuts, many I didn’t use, but at least they’re available.

Despite being a full-size keyboard, the small size means I can tuck this into my carryon along with other necessities and it doesn’t take up much space at all. It’s durable, too — the wire connector appears to be sturdy.

Fits my IPad Air 2 perfectly. Wasnt sure I was going to like it. I used to have the thicker kinds with slots that hold your iPad at different angles. This Logitech style works great. It holds up the iPad perfectly and at a really nice reading angle.

Its a nice case but I was expecting the plastic shell to be thicker/sturdier like the previous Logitech cases Ive had. If the iPad is dropped while the case is closed then the outer cover will protect the corners but if dropped while open the plastic shell does not provide much protection for corners.

I purchased this bag 10 years ago. A few days ago, one of the backpack strap holders broke coming off a train platform. It has had a good life seeing the world with me over a decade. Good bye to the best looking and lasting computer bag I have ever owned! At first I was not sure it would be big enough but it proved itself a workhorse.

My wife has a 17″ MacBook Pro. Years ago I bought her a 17″ Flight Jacket from MacCase for Christmas. She loved the look, quality and function of this lap top carrying case. Great for protecting iPad screen when not in use and for easily being uncovered and turned into a stand for the iPad when drawing with the Apple Pencil, or just for genuine usage. The cover could also just be folded to the opposite side of the iPad.

My only complaint is the leather seemed to wrinkle relatively quickly at the sites where the cover folds but this is unfortunately expected. Overall beautiful and modern look but only giving 4 stars cause it’s rather pricey.

I’m really please with this product. With covid last year I had to purchase an iPad for my daughter to start remote learning. I was worried with spending hundreds of dollars that she would accidentally drop her iPad and break it but I purchased this cover to help protect it and I will say it has.

My son needs an ipad for school so I needed a case that’s going to protect the ipad. The school use this for the ipads purchased through the school so I wanted one for my self.

Good: Covers the most important areas like the power/volume buttons. Feels good in the hand. Grippy without sticking to surfaces. Bad: cover flap has a lot of play. It can slide around while closed. The cover doesn’t come over the edge of the tablet far enough.

Some of the aluminum is exposed. Both of these negatives mean that if it’s dropped from even a small height there is more of a chance of damage to the screen or frame than there needs to be.

It works just as well as the Apple covers and stays closed perfectly. Looks nice. My only complaint is it kind of has a cheap “feel”. very lightweight. but doesn’t take away from the function. It works well and is a beautiful colour.

And the part that covers the back is nice and doesn’t add weight or bulk. All in all, a great product.

The ESR case fits the iPad mini 4 perfectly. It is easy to fit with cut outs in all the right places. The fold over cover works as a stand as well as switching iPad on and off. The colour and translucent back complement the rose gold iPad perfectly.
