This mount was a breeze to install. very good design on the product. There is a issue with what side it can really be facing because the mount can only go to the bottom of the ps4. Which gives u basically 2 options for how u can mount it to the wall.

Which is facing up or to the left. Onother factor is the wall plugs is not the right wall plugs for dry wall if ur not attaching onto a stud. I recommend getting better wall plugs if ur not hitting a stud.

When i installed mine it had a very small shake because of how it attaches to the wall. Thats was not so much a big deal for me but I’m sure most people will rather somthing a bit more secure. The wall mounts for the controls are not really shaped well to hold the control in place and also its all metal so u could scratch ur controls.

They could have lined the inside of the control wall mount with felt to protect from scratches. Other than that its a good unit.

Youtubers like Nerdcubed playing VR games really made me want a VR set of my own, but as the pc versions are extremely expensive and require a very powerful gaming pc to use they were out of my price range.

The PSVR may seem quite expensive with having to buy a headset, a camera and what I would consider necessary yet optional move controllers, but if you already have a PS4 this option is fantastic. Now I haven’t experienced the oculus rift or vive yet and I can guarantee they are better than the PSVR and honestly that blows my mind because the PSVR is outstanding.

The main Downside I found is Some games are a bit low resolution due to it displaying at a lower resolution to each eye but that only affects some games I’ve found. I reckon it’s down to the developers to sort that.

For instance I got Job simulator which looks perfectly clear and a must have experience for sure. I also played the Battlefront X-Wing mission which was hands down the best gaming experience I’ve ever had, quality was fine.

I think like any game you get used to the quality I can play a ps1 game, at first it’s horrible after a bit of time playing you don’t notice the quality. However I tried the demo for drive club vr, this felt amazing but the graphics were terrible, after playing other titles that didn’t feel bad it seemed unnecessary to be of such poor quality.

I’ve only played a few titles so far but I can 100% recommend that everyone that already owns or wants to own a PS4 also owns a PSVR. The best media invention since the tv in my opinion.

Nothing to complain about with the Playstation Camera, but not a lot to rave about either. I bought this in the first place without realising that it was included in the PSVR Headset. I suppose I’m just clever like that.

And for the purposes of the VR it does exactly what it’s supposed to. I’ve had no technical issues with it at all and set-up was as easy as you could ever ask for. There’s not a great deal you can do with it outside of that though.

You can log in with facial recognition. which is a sweet novelty but not necessary when you can do the same just by pressing X. You can also issue verbal commands to the PS4 although frankly I find that terrifying.

There’s been some buzz about motion sensor games like Just Dance, thought I’ve had no experience with them. But the camera itself is sleek, easy to use, and I’m very happy to have it. I’d just recommend having a specific use in mind before going for it.

The camera works great! I had purchased a Sony PS4 controller from Target a few months back that was defective and did not work with my PS4 system I had to return the item and it sucked. I wanted to order a PS4 camera from Amazon but they did not have any available only resellers charging double the price.

I finally took the chance and ordered the camera from Walmarts website. I am so happy this PS4 camera works and the picture looks great on my tv! I will be purchasing my Sony products from the Walmart website from now on.

This is a fine stick for the price. If you’re just learning how to ply with a stick, it *mostly* does it’s job, until you’re ready to upgrade to a better stick that you’re willing to pay full price for.

The stick itself is “clicky”. But the buttons aren’t exactly “springy” and feel a bit off. Despite being just a bit small, it’s of high enough quality to be deemed usable at the very least. Great for first time Stick users, unless you’re a Tekken player, which i’ll get into.

It’s important to note that this stick does not have a Touchpad button. You can switch to legacy mode (PS3), which in usual circumstances allows you to use the Share button as a Select button, if you wanna use functions like Restart in practice modes and whatever.

For whatever reason though, Tekken does not support this stick in Legacy Mode. Where in a game like Tekken 7, the Select or Touchpad button is essential in practice mode when it comes to recording opponent moves, restarting the stage, etc.

These features just do not exist without the touchpad button, or legacy mode support. Meaning you can’t practice properly with this stick if you’re a Tekken player, and the stick probably isn’t worth the cheaper price.

Maybe spend a bit more and get yourself a Mayflash F300 or something along that price range. I’ll keep using this stick just until I feel comfortable with handling one as comfortably as I can with a pad.

In which case i’ll HAVE to upgrade to a better one. Because not being able to use practice mode while trying to improve my chops with a stick is just too big of an inconvenience.

Firstly 5* for Smyrna toys, super fast shipping and good comms. Sadly the stick is a meh. It’s not terrible, the buttons are typically good for a Hori device but the issue is with the stick. There’s too much stick travel, it’s the slackest gate I’ve seen.

As a Zangief / Darun main entering the 2×360 super is like polishing a giant window. Also as other people have commented, the cable storage solution is stupid, you’re forced to expose the fragile thin internal wiring every time you want to stow it away properly.

It’s not a terrible stick, but it’s just not great either. Miles away from my Hori Grail the Fighting Edge model 1.

A good beginner-level stick, which is a very inexpensive and has nice build and quality of materials. Buttons are ok. Square gate isn’t very comfortable to use, but that’s a personal preference I guess.

I liked it, but if you’re really interested in fighting games it’s probably better to just save money and buy more “serious” stick.

The paddles on the strikepack are a great help for shooter games and you don’t second guess whether you’ve hit the paddle or not as it makes a subtle click that you can feel as well as hear so it’s useful both with and without headphones on.

I’ve knocked it down a star as the built in free mods don’t work at all. They just glitch the game out something awful. As I didn’t buy the strikepack for that reason it’s not an issue for me but I imagine it would be for a lot of people.

I bought this think it would do something… and it didn’t. I plugged it into my controller and it lights up but I try to use the mods on it and they didn’t do anything. I read the manual and watched YouTube yet I could not get the mods to work.

In addition to that, I can’t even use my headset because it’s wired and wired headsets don’t work on this. The software was horrible and I couldn’t even download anything because “no strike pack was connected” even though it was literally lighted up on the back.

So in other words, don’t buy this product.

what you have to do, to get it to work if you have a USB headset, is a little much! (unplug your USB headset before you turn on your console, turn your console on first, then choose your profile, then plug the strikepack in, then chose your profile again, then plug your headset in, then choose your profile again) – lol like come on! mine doesn’t fit my gold stranded PS4 controller well, the bottom support wraps-around, sits right on the PS button, it even pressed it twice so far in 2 hours, it has completely fallen off once when I went to rest it on my bed, and the wire is so heavy it pulled it right to the floor.

half the time I look down the little strap, in the front, meant to help secure the unit, is just hanging down. the paddles are so bulky they rest on 1 and a half of my finger (middle and ring finger) making it VERY uncomfortable and awkward ( 100% not spending another 25 CND to get the replacements, when that’s what they should be shipped with) the unit, plus wire it’s self are heavy enough to make it uncomfortable and awkward, and it doesn’t fit any controller I have well enough to even feel like it’s even on there well enough, always seems like it’s gonna fall off from any movement.

I was looking for a cheaper paddled controller option, but this was a HUGE miss for me, the button were nice and responsive tho, probably the only GOOD thing I would say about it. only mod I tried was the Hair Trigger, cause it would be no different than Battle Beaver, or Scuf.

Disco Elysium is easily one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve ever had. There is no combat, and while I initially thought this would be a detractor for me, it turns out it isn’t — I’ve put in close to 15 hours so far and every single minute of playtime has been a complete joy.

The writing in this game is hands down the best I’ve ever seen in a video game. It feels entirely natural and realistic (though there is a lot of profanity and some very graphic/adult descriptions from time to time).

It also has some of the most comedic and downright laughable moments and dialogue in any game. You have to experience it to understand. I love the world you explore. The soundscape is haunting and fitting.

The characters and your main NPC sidekick Kim are all extremely interesting and unique. The voiced dialogue, new to the Final Cut, is top notch too and really elevates all of the writing and conversations throughout the game to another level.

It’s fantastic. The overall gameplay loop is extremely addicting with there being tons of things to discover, interact with, doors to open, mysteries to solve, and it can all be done your way. The skill system is rewarding, and essentially ties into not only unlocking new dialogue opportunities with NPCs, areas to explore, and story progression but also results in you having conversations with the different parts of your psyche which is extremely interesting, often aiding though sometimes even hilariously wrecking your dialogue with characters or attempts to overcome some obstacle.

I’ve never quite experienced anything like this. But if you’ve played CRPGs before, the basic concept of game systems will feel comfortable. If you like point and click adventures, choice based dialogue decisions, and classic CRPGs (Baldur’s Gate, Divinity Original Sin II, etc) you will likely enjoy this game.

Even if you don’t usually enjoy these genres, I’d still recommend giving Disco Elysium the Final Cut a try. As stated at the beginning, this is one is the most immersive, entertaining, and wholly unique experiences I’ve ever had in gaming and I don’t say that lightly.

) All characters you meet have distinct & charming dispositions I must urge you to converse with. If you get stuck on a check, don or doff a piece of garb (you’ll come across a LOT) or allocate a exp point to an attribute to raise stats.

Or, save the ability point you’ve gained (you can stack multiple points) to use on a particularly hard ability check. This is a must play game. I can’t put it down. I can not praise this work of art any higher.

A fantastic story-based adventure. Extremely dialog heavy, (so be ready to read). If you like detective stories, this will be right up your alley. You’re free to play your character any way you want, including just straight-up being a drug-addled disaster of a human being.

This mount is amazing. I’ve gotten so many compliments already on how great it looks having the PlayStation mounted behind the tv. Just visible enough to see but have all the chords hidden. The only issue I’ve had is that because it is flush to the wall it does get hotter then before.

Listened to another review and added a 3/4″ piece of plywood behind the mount small enough so it’s not seen but gives the PlayStation breathing room. Also added some led light strips to it to give an added effect.

Came out looking great. Super nerdy but totally worth it. Couple friends are already are looking to do the same. Really worth the money. Would do this again to any of my other devices.

Items arrived sooner than confirmed date. The mounts fit like a glove for each or my consoles. I ordered one for my switch and og PS4 with the 2 addition control mounts. The mounts, because are universal (one size fits all controls) which is not the case with all controls.

It still holds my control fine; just not as secure as the switch or ps4 mounts. I highly recommend these mounts. I will definitely be buying feature console mounts here.

Game there definitely favors pitching. If you need a non competitive game there’s plenty of offline activity to keep you gaming for days! I love Dimond Dynasty. Think Madden Ultimate team, but 100 times better.

It’s easier to get stubs/coins and there’s all types of items you can collect. Stadium sounds, HR radio cadence, jerseys, equipment, and virtual sets of card collectibles. I’ve spent over 30hrs in dynasty and still not bored.

Sony does a fantastic job keeping this fresh and exciting. You can even upload your “create a player” to your roster. Fun stuff, and a game you must have I. Your collection. Although Sony was forced to bring this to Xbox via MLB agreements, I’m sure they’ll find their expanded revenue stream of Xbox baseball fans as welcomed.

Game is fun. I love baseball, but I haven’t bought a baseball video game in quite some time. ( I actually still play World Series baseball 2K2 on my Dreamcast!). I thought they’d become unnecessarily complicated ( like most modern sports games).

The Show was much easier to pick up and play than I expected. Graphics are good. The stadiums and most players were instantly recognizable. Player movements were convincing. Getting a fun, great looking game & a nice quality baseball hat as a bonus for $20 was an excellent deal, even if it was last season’s game.

I have 11 DS4 controllers and all of them have drift or dead problem with L3 or R3. Sony always claims it’s abuse or normal wear and tear. I technically have 12 controllers. Other than the PCB it’s not really Factory and still works fine.

I repair just about anything with a circuit for a living. These things are engineered to fail or by someone who cares more about saving money then keeping customers happy. 1. The resistive film on the analog joysticks.

These have a reduced contact surface promoting wear. “With exception a few revisions I’ve seen have either multiple contact points on the wipers or just have slightly larger surfaces on them. ” (Why Analog contact media over Digital sensors, It beats me?) 2.

The Tactile switches are not designed for endurance. The L3 and R3 and will always wear prematurely. (They should use high endurance micro-switches like those found in most high end computer mice. ) 3.

Last but not least. These controllers come with an onboard CPU and yet lack any ability to auto calibrate? The Console itself should even compensate for jitter or centering/adjustments, but you don’t see it as an option anywhere? Now with some modern tech the DS5 has the same issues (and more) as far as wear and tear.

Final Thoughts: Battery tech has advanced leaps and bounds over the years and we are at the point we can put infrared digital joys in the controllers with next to zero impact on battery life or even use even lower powered solutions like magnetic field sensors(MFS) Hall Effect(HE)*.

This would increase reliability as no moving parts need to make physical contact inside the joys. Wear can be extended by using a bearings on the pivots/cage to keep the joystick center. *Some companies already do these methods and senors.

Getting a product licensed and approved to be used on their platform wouldn’t be in Sony’s best interest. Now Here is the Gotcha. As far as quality the PCBs are decent and great for modding. Price to Durability I would recommend a cheap offbrand controller as they most often have the same Joys across the board.

That said, remember you get what you pay for. Three $20 controllers will get you about 800-1000hours of vigorous use or one Branded DS4 for $60 can get you about 265~335 hours of vigorous use. Anyways, maybe someone finds this informative.

Initially it looked good, sturdy and reliable. But along the way, I experienced many issues with it: – the controller randomly switches off, in the middle of a game. And it can take several seconds before being able to switch it back on.

Quite infuriating to die in a game because the controller went off in my hands unexpectedly (and it’s not a matter of battery) – the left key (or stick maybe) getting pressed continuously when I don’t touch it.

Basically, it’s as if I was going left all the time. It requires to reset the controller, or the console, and hope for the controller to switch on without continuously going to the left this time. – the PS button appears to get blocked too often when pressed.

I need to rub it gently to unblock it. – When switching on the console with the controller, I need to switch on the controller a second time once the console is on. My previous controller remained on from the first press on the PS button.

My previous controller was a DualShock 4 v1, this is my first DS4 v2 controller. So maybe these issues are inherent to this new model? maybe I had a faulty controller?.

I honestly feel like I paid full price for a refurbished item. When I first opened the box the first thing I noticed was that the box didn’t have tape on the cover of the lid nor did it come with directions.

It came with a charge cord which I found very strange because most PS4 controllers DON’T come with a charger cord. You have to buy that separately, then I noticed how LIGHT the controller felt. It said PS4 on the buttons, but it didn’t FEEL heavy like the normal PS4 controllers feel when you get them with the console purchase.

The buttons felt extremely loose, especially the X button and the R1 and L1 buttons and NOW the X button is “sticking” and doesn’t always play right. Later when I looked at WHERE I’d purchased this controller from because I admit I didn’t check before pressing the “purchase button” it was from some THIRD PARTY SELLER THAT SOLD FOOTWEAR?????? And when you click on the seller’s site, it leads nowhere.

Next time I want to buy REAL electronics, I’ll go to Best Buy.

I purchased a PS4 PRO console at the beginning 2019. Its one of the best consoles I have owned, but when you have a mechanical or mainboard fault the pain begins. The Blu-Ray drive failed 11/02/2022.

I took the console to a local video console repairer in Brisbane after 2 weeks I found out that the PRO console of mine is unrepairable. This is due to a failure on a circuit board which is located in the Blu-Ray drive itself.

The issue is you can’t replace the Blue-Ray with a new one as there are also chips on the mainboard which only recognize the original Blue-Ray drive, so replacing it with a new drive won’t work as the console won’t detect the disks.

I basically have a $460 paperweight now. The only way in can be repaired is to completely replace the mainboard with a Blue-Ray that is a matched pair to the mainboard. I find it utterly ridiculous that you can’t replace the drive on the PS4 PRO with a new one.

I still have my original PlayStation console from 1996. I have had the drive and laser replaced a number of times over the years with no issue. This is nothing more that purposeful built-in redundancy to make the consumer throw the console in the bin and buy a new one.

This is my 3rd ps4 and will be my last. Gets hot too fast like real fast. I’m on for an hour and it starts to freeze and this isn’t the only concern when it comes to the ps4. Every ps4 I’ve had has the same issue’s and I’ve spent way too much cash on Sony and it feels like this is a MONEY grab since I Keep having to get repairs and replacements for the PS4 and frankly it’s getting old.

let me get into the PS4 issue’s. Gets way too hot 🔥, freezes, crashes & doesn’t last long until it NEEDS replaced or repairs. Rest mode is a mess and downloading can cut off while in rest mode and the downloading and copying nonsince is 🐌 slow.

Like 16+ hour’s if your internet isn’t fast. the airflow clogs easily compared to my ps2 and xbox360 and the ps4 sounds like an airplane in turbulence. The storage gets corrupt easily if you have too many thing’s going on the ps4.

The warranty for the PS4 only lasts a short while and it doesn’t cover the majority of issue’s this console has and if you buy digital game’s don’t expect a refund after the 14 day time line. Why do console warranties only last a year is beyond me and most consoles need work after two years realistically.

The Playstation 4 comes in different packages and sizes. I currently have the regular size playstation with the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 version. My Playstation has always treated me right. The features I love the most is the fact I can watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Disney Plus.

Expectations with the product is the fact that it will overtime start to overheat which is a problem. Also if you don’t have enough storage on it you will have to eventually delete other games, screenshots and videos to add a new one.

My time with the Playstation 4 it has always run well. I only started to have issues around September of this year. The problem I have with it is that it tends to “overheat” when I try to play a certain game.

Specifically the game Call of Duty Vanguard. Even when the game isn’t got at all they say I need to let it cool off within 3 seconds or it will turn off instantly. Other than that this game is perfectly fine.

Hello! I’m looking to get the PS5 because it is an upgrade from the PS4 allows us to consume 4K graphics versus the PS4 slim which is only 1080p graphics. I got this PS4 slim uncharted 4 bundle edition and I have been using it almost daily for 5-6 years.

Even after years of daily usage it has not shown any problems or technical difficulties. Since it is only 500GB and I mostly download all my games instead of buying the disk, I needed to buy an extra hard drive to plug into the PS4 for more storage space in order to download a large variety of games without ever having to worry about running out of storage space.

I have dozens of games and I enjoy playing each and everyone of them. It is the slim edition so it is also perfect for travel and transport. I’m looking forwards to have the PS5 also because I want to try out the new adaptive triggers which give it fully immersive realistic experience with gameplay.

I play games like GTA 5 which is a open world game, NBA 2k22 which is a basketball game, Uncharted which is a adventure game that came with the PS4 bundle. Overall I would like to VOUCH for playstation and HIGHLY recommend this console due to its originality, great service in gaming, entertainment and much more! 5 stars for quality and versatility.

I absolutely love my new Playstation 4 Pro. I used to play games when I was a child and then took a long break. As an adult now, I recently found myself with some free time and decided to look into gaming.

I watched a bunch of YouTube vides and honestly had mixed feelings. The graphics looked amazing but I wasn’t feeling the games from the videos. I realized I actually needed to play the games to see if I like them.

I researched a bunch of options including Google Stadia, a desktop PC, and XBox and settled on a Playstation 4 Pro since it works well with my 4K TV, has good reviews, is easy to set up, and has a huge user base.

I decided I’d do a 1 week trial and if I wasn’t feeling the games then I’d return it After playing the first game, my mind was made up. This thing is awesome. So far, I’ve only played Assassin’s Creed and I’ve been blown away by the stunning realism, the immersive story, and the out-of-this world graphics and game mechanics.

It’s such a blast playing it and I feel l’ve been immersed in a whole new world. There are a bunch of additional games I can’t wait to try out as well. This is honestly the best purchase I made this year and one of the best I’ve made in my entire life.

This is my one and only review after having my PS4 since GTA 5 was new. Love the games and content but a complete boatload of problems with slow downloads, loud fan and opening games just to have your console shutoff in the middle of a very slow ‘copying update file’ process which causes it to restart the whole download process of whatever you were trying to play while waiting.

PS store after a while reads error when trying to purchase digital content. its just a mess as far as hardware goes. I was literally at 70% update file copied and tried to open another game while waiting and my console just shutoff for no reason.

I just wanted to game before work but this console is not friendly in situations like that. Not to mention numerous games tend to update at the same time which prompts you to ‘make space’ in your data when you didn’t need it before the update.

Account recovery methods are outdated and too much information is required if you are not using your own console(trying to add your account to a friend’s ps4). Make sure you have more than one email and always update your phone when you get a new one.

Also be sure to upload your saved data to the PS plus cloud as data could randomly go corrupt and start you over where you were previously. Again, great games, bad hardware.

The system is perfectly fine. I love it. It’s great. 3 stars though because there’s a bug in the system somewhere that makes the “dullshock 4, battery level low, controller dead charge the battery” message repeat for about 30 mins Everytime the controller dies.

And plugging it in doesn’t stop it. The only thing that stops it is turning the system off. This is a uncharted edition PS4 and it’s been rebuilt once, I sent it in to Sony and they fixed it for me. But this bug still occurs.

And is very. VERY. annoying.

For cordcutters who have struggled to enjoy live TV and sports without a cable subscription, this might be a good replacement. The Sony PlayStation 4 is console gaming at its finest. It serves up a plethora of game titles, a rich assortment of accessories and an array of multimedia options that make it a central piece of any home entertainment setup.

I played this game for the very first time at around christmas 2 years ago! And since then it has been my favorite game ever! The story is fantastic the gameplay is amazing. The graphics are great! Also keep in mind this game is from 2013! I have nothing bad to say about this game! I love it and can only recommend it! On other terms.

the sequel is horrible! I hate the story i hate what they did with the characters! Yes the graphics are absolutely amazing but the game itself is a disrespect to the fans from the first one, the gameplay were told to be absolutely game changing but from what i saw from actual gameplays there isnt much that makes it different from other games with actual good stories! This being said, play the first one but please just ignore that there is a sequel if you actually love the first game!.

Although this game released in 2013 & remastered in 2p14 it doesn’t feel outdated or underwhelming. Gameplay is smooth, satisfying & interesting. Weapons feel powerful, stealth sections are interesting & dynamic.

Physical altercations are dangerous if unprepared & infected pose their own unique threats & require different approaches. Story is excellent, with interesting characters, multiple plots executed perfectly & great level designs leaves every minute of the game unique.

Incredibly immersive & unsettling, no matter how many times I play through the game I don’t get bored or feel completely safe. There’s always a sense vulnerability at all times keeping you on edge, although there are many points to breathe and step back from the action to explore buildings or areas to prevent the game from becoming a shooting simulator, you don’t feel completely safe with multiple puzzles & enemies at all points of the game.

Conclusion: I’d consider this game a 10/10. A masterpiece. Immersive world with interesting & flawlessly written characters makes you feel as if you are in an apocalyptic world. Incredibly smooth and satisfying hand to hand combat & gunplay will make you want to replay it, and you’ll enjoy replaying it just as much as your first time engrossing yourself in to this gorgeous world.

Leaving off from God of War 3 and the Greek pantheon store line, I found kratos in new territory and looking more grizzled (bearded etc). I found the new storyline to be a absolutely essential continuation of the series.

The whole game was absolutely refreshing. From the combat, to the in-game cinematic sequences, I was on the edge of my seat everytime I picked up the controller to play it. I definitely would recommend this game to anyone loyal to the series and it’s upcoming sequel, which is also set in the same Norse setting, looks to be on track to be just as good if not better.

I’m no developer nor a pro-gamer just a real big fan of this series and I feel it is a great step forward in the future for God of War.

One of the best (if not the best) games of this console generation so far. This is a dark, mature action adventure game that will last around ~20-30 hour game (with no filler content) depending on how much you explore, and difficulty level you selected with emphasis on quality over quantity.

The game has a very nice pacing/progression system that feels very natural. The game does not hand hold you, or set you to your own devices; rather gives you enough information to figure things out on your own Different from past God of War (GOW) games is that, this game is a over shoulder 3rd person view vs isometric view (camera with birds eye view panning in and out).

The camera is very tight fixed, and behind kratos making it more grounded and personal. Entire game is pretty much one-shot (assuming you don’t get any game over screen). The game has beautiful environment and the lighting is very impressive.

It runs 1080p 30fps on PS4 (original or slim) 4k 30fps, and performance mode 1080 60fps (dips at times) on the PS4 Pro If you play on PS4 pro it’s preferred you play at 30fps. The combat this time around is less combo based than past games, and more methodical as it’s more about precision hits, quick turns*, and dodging; being aware of your surroundings due to the fixed over the shoulder view.

So 60fps is not really necessary unless maybe you’re playing on the hardest difficulty mode. * For quick turns there’s a learning curve to keep form being disoriented during right corridors. Sound is amazing.

Get your headset or home theater system ready because you’re in for a treat as the game has really nice surround sound option. Does not support 3D audio in the PlayStation Platinum headset which is disapointing.

Hope they add it in, in the future. Music typical for GOW games with drums, string instruments and orchestral vocals that really gets you pumped up There are some audio ques that help unlock hidden items so keep an ear out Interaction/dialogue with kratos and his son feel very real and not dialed in or exaggerated.

very nice banter between the two and other characters as well -Story: As mentioned before, very mature yet dark. The story is more narrative driven and has more character development than past games where you’re just full of rage and kill everything in sight.

Each character has complex motivations in what they’re set out to do Takes place in Norse mythology instead of Geek The main plot is that Kratos’ wife has died and she wants her ashes spread from the highest mountain Kratos takes his son with him on this journey and through a bonding experience they both grow stronger as they reach their final destination.

the journey isn’t that simple as it seems as there are twist and turns along the way and enemies they have to face You do get some insight on how Kratos reach this land after GOW3, but it’s sprinkled throughout instead of one long exposition Side quests brings out lore of the game and also way to upgrade your skill tree There are boat sections in the game where Kratos gives his son life lessons, conversely his son gives inside knowledge of the world he learned through observation/what he learned from his mother; which makes you more invested in the characters.

-Gameplay The combat has a lot of layers/options to it. Instead of Quick Timed Events (QTE) there’s a stun meter which which needs to be filled up for kratos make his signature final finishing moves on enemies.

Feels very natural as you don’t get a huge button prompt the middle of the screen I like how the core combat is mapped to the trigger buttons instead of the face buttons making combat feel more natural There’s a skill tree that cater to how you want to play: defensive, offensive, focus on physical or magical attacks, range vs close combat, master a weapon over the other, etc You can upgrade weapons and armor by collecting materials Kratos’ main weapon this time around is the leviathan axe (very similar to Thor’s (Marvel movies/comics) weapon Mjolnir) instead of his chained blades of chaos.

You can throw the axe and have it call back to you like a boomerang. You can swing and throw the axe at enemies and fun to master as you have to judge the timing of when the axe will return to you as without your axe you may only have your bare fists to do battle till it comes back There is some strategy involved especially in the higher difficulty settings.

Some enemies are super effective against certain weapons/skills you have to be aware of Krato’s son comes along with you on the journey and is able to help with by stunning/detract enemies with an arrow which you can control the activation.

Overtime as he becomes more experienced in combat more options are available. He’ll also yell out tips when needed** or jump onto enemies to slow them down. Also you can view his journals after you defeat an enemy to find out hidden weaknesses **Seeing the camera is so tight, he’ll give you tips you are not able to see at times due to blind spots Armor and clothes can be crafted, purchased, or upgraded via dwarf blacksmiths in game.

It changes krato’s physical appearance in game. Some armor/clothing piece has slots for enchantments which effects stats Enemies attack you gorilla style as they can attack at anytime they want instead of gathering up in a circle and attacking one by one.

Each enemy have different variety of skills, health, size, weakness and speed There are backtracking at times that builds on exploration. Also the environments sometimes change when going back making the location feel different yet the same.

There’s also hidden areas you cannot access until you get a particular item giving the game this somewhat of a metriod-mania style to it Through mini objectives like kills specific about of enemies to get exp rewards Side quest gives you glimpse of story narrative, exp gain and or material.

It doesn’t feel like fetch quests or something you have to do to directly upgrade your character. There’s no fluff and the side quests does not feel tacked on as it feels necessary, yet optional You’ll naturally stumble onto some side quests as the map only shows an overview of the land with a compass that points you to your main objective.

Fast travel is limited, making exploration in the forefront. There’s not too many side quests making it feel open and direct at the same time As of this review, this is best PS4 game in my opinion. Sets a new standard for video games.

A perfect combination of character driven story and methodical well-paced combat gives an unforgettable experience set to the backdrop of epic Norse mythology. Open to newcomers and veterans of the series alike, GoW 2018 provides a refined, captivating experience with large scale set pieces and diegesis unrivalled in most other games of the genre.

The only limitations come in the form of some combat-centric camera issues, and some enemies that break the mechanical limitations of the player leading to minor frustrations. Some odd narrative pacing often leads to long down times in active play, but often this is compensated for by interesting glimpses into the world.

The combat shines in 1-on-1 arena type fights but provides enough variety and style to make horde type battles enjoyable. If you have a PS4 (or PS5 for that matter) you should play GoW.

Pros: I first tried this game on the free weekend and immediately fell in love with it. I love open world games like GTA and Red Dead Redemption but had never played the watch dogs games before. It’s so rare we get a game like this set in London and I was absolutely blown away by the world in watch dogs legion, American cities have been done to death and London is such a nice change, especially as a Brit.

The novelty of going to areas and thinking “I’ve been there” isn’t something I’ve experienced in a game before. I don’t really care about FPS but I know some are not happy that the PS5 version is only 30 FPS.

This didn’t bother me however, and this is also my first proper experience with ray tracing and I found it really added to the beauty of London. They did a great job of building up some lore and background to the world in the game too – podcasts you can listen to as you drive around explain more about the world you’re in and how it got to the state it’s in.

There’s also data drives and artefacts scattered around London that give you more information. I’m not one for collectibles in games usually but I loved exploring areas in the game and collecting these to learn more about the world.

The dystopian London setting is my bread and butter. This game clearly took influences from black mirror, and it also heavily reminds me of the film children of men, as well as V for vendetta. I feel it’s hit a sweet spot in terms of setting – futuristic but also not unrecognisable from our own world.

The story itself started off really interesting to me – I went in not knowing what to expect but I was hooked immediately and so interested in unraveling the mystery at the heart of the game. However as you progress though the story it does begin to slow down.

There’s still an engaging story with interesting plot lines to be uncovered, but it did sort of seem to lose its charm after a while, and a lot of the missions are very samey. Speaking of missions though, there is different ways to approach all of them – e.

g. stealth, remotely (using drones and hacking and little robots) and guns blazing. The devs also intended for you to use different characters and their specialisms for each mission and your chosen approach for it – so this helps shake things up.

The recruitment system is interesting, it’s not the best but I really like that it’s something different and appreciate it when devs take risks. Some have criticised the lack of a main protagonist to get attached to, however I found myself getting attached to certain recruits as I played – but I think this also requires a degree of RP on your end.

Permadeath (if enabled) also ups the stakes a lot when playing with these characters. Another aspect of the character and recruitment system is how interconnected everyone is. When your team and pool of potential recruits begins to grow you will often see friends, enemies, family members etc of them around London, and your actions toward them can have an impact.

For example, I saved the husband of a potential recruit from arrest and the potential recruit then called to thank me and agreed to join my team. This can also mean the opposite – killing enemies affects their friends and family members and they can go on to kidnap your team mates for revenge – triggering a rescue mission.

Combat and gunplay is fine to me, I’m no game critic, but compared to games like GTA I would say it holds up fine, although the game does like to throw waves of enemies at you with no warning from all angles while you’re exposed which is very annoying – I’ve lost 3 operatives due to this.

There’s also a multiplayer mode which I haven’t delved into yet but looks interesting, from the look of it it’s no GTA online and looks like it wants you to play with friends, so tough luck if your friends don’t play or you don’t have any.

Cons: I obviously have a lot of love for this game but it’s far from perfect. Part of my love stems from the fact I got it for cheap. If I had paid full price at release I would have definitely been much less impressed.

Despite how beautiful London is, it’s also very shallow – there are very, very few interiors to enter. Clothing shops are quite frequent but they aren’t enterable, they’re just a menu outside. Pubs are enterable but once you’ve been in one you’ve been in them all.

Aside from that the only other interiors are those of certain restricted areas around London – for example guarded warehouses. There are also some mission locked interiors such as parliament and the Tower of London.

The tube is also just a fast travel system, there are no platforms or trains to be seen as in GTA IV or red dead redemption. I’ve already mentioned the eventual repetition of missions, but I would also say hacking feels repetitive after a while too – I did find the novelty wearing off.

While you can customise your characters clothing and their weapons, there is little other customisation available. For example, you can’t buy, store or customise cars – some characters have a car assigned to them and these can be recoloured – but they are character locked.

There are also no safe houses to buy either, just one on the map. I am a fan of mini games and side side activities in games like this – think gambling in Red Dead, fire and vigilante in GTA, pool and bowling in GTA IV (yes, really) etc.

as it helps me immerse in the world and breaks things up, this game is short on these though – darts, keepy-uppy football, parcel delivery and fight clubs. Supposedly graffiti and drinking are activities too but I don’t count these.

It would’ve been nice to have a bit more – perhaps gambling or something. Another thing to be improved is the Borough system – you complete 3 activities in a Borough and a final mission and it becomes “defiant” – now some of the missions are actually great, you make a visual change to the city and get to have an impact on some iconic London landmarks – however afterwards it doesn’t feel too much different – I perhaps expected more protests and a harsher response to them from the authorities or something as things spiral out of control – or visibly more anger, but the change isn’t too consequential.

There doesn’t seem to be a bother from the authorities when an area turns defiant either – like I disabled their propaganda but they don’t seem to bother trying to turn it back on? Despite how much I love the world there’s also a lot of shallowness to the landmarks – Camden market is empty and just a few clothing stalls with a menu – you can’t eat any food there either – borough market is even worse.

You can ride the London eye but it’s closed for maintenance so there’s no tourists queuing or anything. You can’t go up the shard but you can go up the sky garden. Bars in soho and restaurants in Chinatown are just window dressing.

I could go on. There’s just 2 main factions to fight in the game – a gang and the private military policeforce – Albion. No matter how many times you hit their hideouts they never leave them and it never has an impact on their power.

It would be nice if they abandoned the area and returned it to the public after I kill all the enemies inside – for example the part of Camden market that was a gang base. The same goes for Albion, infiltrating their base in a borough and killing all of the people inside has no impact on them or their power across the borough or city.

Despite these drawbacks I would still recommend the game – get it cheap and have a blast like I did – don’t go in expecting the world and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Some of the worst voice acting I’ve ever heard in a game. Every single potential character you can recruit looks like E. T. Every single mission is drive here, get to this area, hack this terminal and then escape to safety.

OCCASIONALLY they’ll be a somewhat cool mission like the one with the house beneath the house. Besides missions that have you go inside buildings there’s no other structures you can enter. All clothes shops are neutered down to a kiosk with barley any variation to the clothes.

The driving is atrocious. The cars feel light and heavy and the same time. Roads are too narrow and the vehicles are super slow (probably because the roads are narrow but STILL) They’ve actually removed hacking features from the previous games.

Ray tracing mode looks good but the fps is supposedly at 30 but does NOT feel/look like it. I mean come on, on SX I’m sure it could handle more fps. … and the list goes on and on. Play the first one (my favorite of the trilogy) and MAYYYBE if you’re really bored play the second but stop there.

I have been a ‘fan’ of the Watch Dogs games for a while. I loved the ideas and concepts of world building and gameplay with the hacking mechanics of the first game and the sharpened mechanics of the second but the third installment into this series has nothing to ride home about.

This games marketing and gameplay were all compressed into the idea of being able to play as anyone. Finding anyone’s cookie baking Grandma out shopping or obnoxious town drunk in an alley and recruit them.

All of these people have their own perks and quirks (or not) for you to look at and use for your uprising. This is a cool idea in concept but with the restraints and cost of developing an in-depth mechanic such as this was not possible.

The story is started with some un-chosen and somewhat interesting ‘Main’ characters which could have had potential if they stuck with them but of course they didn’t. Due to there being so many characters the story is tried to be carried by outside characters which leaves your characters as hollow characters with a couple re-used lines for most of the in-game dialogue making the story feel very empty and robotic.

Gameplay is a similar story. Due to most of the games weapons and customization being linked to the characters that you recruit so having a character that you want or having the perks/ gadgets that you want is impossible.

Most of the characters that I ended up using where the reward agents that you acquire from completing the uprising events in each sector of London or whatever characters you were forced to use in specific missions.

Money in the game is useless, all you can purchase with currency is clothes littered across the city in specific clothing stores that you need to go to get their clothes. You would think in the this modern technological London with drone delivery services you would be able to purchase all your clothes from one place without such confusion.

Most of the freedoms and customizations of the old game have been thrown out the window and has been made into a mess of useless characters, very limited customization and very unfulfilling story line.

I wouldn’t recommend the previous titles if you want your fix of vigilante hacking action game. Overall 5/10.

Firstly: The game loads in reasonable time, and looks good at outset. This good impression carries on and does not disappoint on GI or with the artistic efforts to bring this “to life”. The controls are easy to get acclimated to and, like most of my peers ( and I suspect most Early purchasers), I am brought to this by the Sword Art Online “TV Shows” which I enjoy more than the written/artistic mediums as my preferred mode of “consumption” on a great many titles with deep roots in this Genre.

(I purchased at shop. to. net at te lowest price I could find weeks ago, and as ever this arrived into our greasy mitts somewhat, marginally, premature. oops, Mr Postie? Its great to share an interest with my “young at heart” grown up Son who echoed all my thoughts on this as we began to encounter with this for our first time.

Some Fathers and Sons connect over real world sports/ We connect on our similar choices of Console games, be it new titles in this Gnere released on PS4 & Xbox One, or be they remasters of older classics.

People will no doubt have their “wants need and desires from any game they buy. This is a great fit for me and my Sons. Even as adults we will set up the kit in my Man Cave and play hours on a 65 Inch Samsun Screen with a ‘pukka’ 5.

1 surround system hooked upvia Optical audio feed and 1080P HDMI video. You can quickly get engrossed in this game as it is easy to master the controls and they’re pretty intuitive anyway. This isn’t a 500mph crazy game play set up.

The action is good, the “breathers” help give the ge a good feeling of balance and flow and the Graphics are, in my personal opinion, pretty darned good for this genre. Anyone just into gaming, may want to wait for a price drop as It “feels” about 10 overprice as at now, however if your “Darw” is the genre or a social interest in this “Fandom” then it merits the early price for the Premium Experience of getting into this at the outset.

I doubt tha anyone could really dfislike this in any huge way so as to prevent the Game being played fully. Its not climing to be a technological tour de fource and yet it deliver on a high level so not only that but Gameplay also pleasantly surprises to enable this title to Exceed my & my sons expectations.

If you feel happy to have decide to ” pays ya’ money and plays ya’ Game” as we both are then it is Good value for money but I can see the other Gamers not enamoured with the genre as we are will, as I indicated, be more glowing in reflection with a lower price, but not too lower of course.

A lot of work went into this and they deserve their rewarss for producing a fab piece of Gaming and Entertainment. I’d re ommend to all my peers for sure. keep it real :-).

Game is much better than anticipated. Despite the Japanese voice acting, it has a cuteness factor and is fun to play. It’s great that they have so many varied characters you get to interact with and use in your adventures.

It is worth the cost and should not be overlooked.

Good game to have, however there is more dialogue going on between characters in the game than consistent gameplay. Plus it’s Japanese audio only with English subtitles – the voice audio can be muted if needed.

Le système de combat est unique. J’ai adorée ce jeu jusqu’à la fin! Une petite perle ^^’.

Great interactive/narrative driven horror experience. Considering the entire game revolves around the story, like an interactive movie, I found the tongue-in-cheek throwback sensibilities to be very fun – though also typical to these horror tropes, there are some cliches that will make your eyes roll.

Many of these instances are more a result of not just the writing, but also the delivery by the actors – who look really good, even in 2023. The service provided by the actors can waver between great and terrible, ranging the spectrum in-between.

However, as a whole, the experience is extremely well done, well acted, and definitely comes off more intentional than not. The gameplay is very basic, requires very little gamer experience to play, thus some might be turned off by this type of experience, as it comes down to walking, decision making, and some light puzzles.

The challenge is keeping your characters alive through to the end, and there is plenty of opportunities to perish in some very cool ways. By the time of this writing, this game seems to have made its place as a classic, and the team has gone on to create The Dark Pictures Anthology – a series of very similarly structured games, of which have proven this original game to be something slightly more special.

Here’s to hoping for another deep-dive narrative experience, whether it be The Quarry, or an eventual Until Dawn sequel….

Fun game! I really enjoyed the “Choose your own adventure” aspect of this game. It is definitely in a category of its own! 8 friends, Emily, Ashley, Matt, Jessica, Chris, Sam, and Mike, go up to their friend Josh’s family cabin on the anniversary of the death’s of Josh’s twin sisters Hannah and Beth.

The characters feel like they’d be real people you would hang out with. Each decision you make in game causes a Butterfly effect and you have to deal with the consequences of each decision. My friends and I enjoy gathering up, making a few drinks, and leaving every decision up to a vote.

It has a bunch of replay value as there are different endings depending on your decisions in game.

Perhaps one of the greatest stories ever told, Until Dawn is a masterpiece of modern horror. Set on the snowy Blackwood Pines, eight friends gather together one year after two girls in their friend group went missing.

When they arrive at the lodge, the discover nothing is what it seems, and that the disappearance of their friends may have been at the hands of a deranged psychopath or a bloodthirsty Wendigo. The characters in the game are al based on typical stereotypes – from the attractive popular boy, to the dorky class clown, to the smart mean girl – every horror survivor stereotype is here.

The characters were all very realistic and each of them had their own personalities and you knew which choices to make for them. The aim of the game is to keep these people alive ‘Until Dawn’ so that they can escape the horrors of the mountains.

Your choices matter, every single, tiny, ordinary decision that you make could lead to life or death. Please, if you enjoy the genre play this game and experience on of the best stories ever told.
