I have read the book before and watched Dr. Fung’s youtube videos. (Jason Fung, the author, is a physician who began as a diabetes specialist. ) The book is convincing, well-researched, and easy for a layperson to read and understand.

I have tried intermittent fasting, and it works–not only for weight loss but for medical conditions. We all know that every religion endorses fasting as a spiritual exercise, but there are physical reasons to do without food for short periods as well.

The book is helpful and I wanted to keep it handy as a continuing guide. I recommend it highly. Check it out of the library first and see if IF (intermittent fasting) is for you.

Extremely informative book and the ability to lay it flat is without a doubt one of my favorite options for reading a book. The science and data behind the research reinforces the many benefits of fasting.

I was at stage 2 hypertension levels and my doctor wanted to simply prescribe pills to control it. That was not for me and through my searching I found that fasting was for me. I’ve lost 34 pounds and now at normal levels.

I feel great, look great and will never stop my intermittent fasting. What we’ve been taught and told over the past 50 years regarding diet should be suspect if those diets have not worked for you.

I wanted to read one of Jason Fung’s books since starting my journey into IF. It really helps me to read about what I am attempting to do so it occupys my mind in a good way. Even though I’ve read other books about IF I’m still learning more! And becoming more inspired to stay the game.

I really feel IF is the best lifestyle change to make toward healing.

Buy the book, follow the ‘diet’ and you life will change! I wish I could have knew about this way of life years ago.

Good book and weight loss programme

I started the fast metabolism diet sept 6, 2020. Since then I have lost 92 lbs. it would have been more if I hadn’t slacked for a few months, but life happens! I have 40-50 more to go , but am confident that with this program I can and will achieve my goal.

This truly isn’t a “ diet” , it is a lifestyle. It is the best lifestyle change I have made. I’m never hungry, my cravings are few , and I feel amazing- both physically and emotionally. My entire life has changed.

The weight fell off too. I started off in a size 22-24 pants and am now wearing size 14! There’s a lot of food prep , but as you move forward on the plan you learn to plan effectively and prepare accordingly.

Don’t let that intimidate you. Leftovers and freezing became my best friend. I recommend this lifestyle to anyone who wants real and lasting results!!!.

First of all, I rarely take the time to write reviews. I may give stars but never comment. I am 60 years old. 2 years ago I lost 70lbs mainly on low carb/keto diet. I had gained 15lbs back and went back to the same low carb diet, where I netted zero weight loss in 3 weeks.

I gained another 5 of top of the 15. Now I am up 20lbs. My doctor recommended the Fast Metabolism Diet. I got the book and gave it a shot. I just completed my 28 days yesterday and am thrilled to say I LOST 18 POUNDS! It was the easiest diet plan I have ever been on (although phase 2 is a little tough)- I recommend buying the turkey jerky from this site or making your own.

Even if you find sugar free/nitrate free jerky in the store, it is loaded with sodium. Anyway, I would recommend this diet to anyone and plan to continue to integrate it and what I have learned into my eating habits going forward.

Although I am finished with the 28 days, I am continuing until next Saturday and we are having a party with some of my favorite foods to celebrate my success, then back on track Monday! Thank you Haylie! You have truly changed my life.

I am in week 4 of the program and have lost @ 15 lbs. inspite of some bumpy going, like weddings to attend and a wkend trip. On these occasions I do the best I can with what is being served. I hope that next month I can follow it exactly…we have 2 more weddings and wkend trips within the next four week cycle.

At least my weight is going down instead of up even if not quite as fast as it might if there wouldn’t be these interruptions. I definitely am impressed with the eating plan and am inspired to continue.

This is a more in depth book of the Delay, Don’t Deny. Gin Stephens has done so much research and her books lead you to the full studies if you want to “see for yourself,” and her explanations of all the science behind those studies and results.

She explains the “Why?” of why this diet works for your friend and why it doesn’t for you. She also explains why we have gotten fat/obese and there is NOT a magic pill to make it all go away and be slim forever.

She explains why it is so important to keep your insulin levels lower for at least 12 hours to be able to correct your body’s signals of when to eat and when it is satisfied. As with diets, there is no one diet/fast for all.

Our bodies are as unique as our fingerprints and our DNA (which also plays a part of what works and what doesn’t). This book has so much information that I have been taking all kinds of notes, making annotations and rereading sections and I am constantly learning.

This book is a must have if you want to know why you are hungry all the time or, like me, stand at the fridge or cabinet looking for something to eat but don’t know what you want. Which may be your spiked inulin level that is trying to get you to eat more.

Gin will tell you many ways you can lower your insulin level and lose the inches, lower your inflammatory response, stay slimmer, have more energy, and feel younger. What part of this last statement do you want? Personally, I want all of the above.

Spoiler Alert: When you fast, you give your body a chance to lower insulin levels, and your body can then tap into your fat stores. Compared to when you eat all day, your insulin levels are constantly spiking, and you’re not able to burn fat.

This book explains the “why” and “how” to lead an intermittent fasting lifestyle so well, I can’t recommend it enough! It will answer all of your questions and provides the science to back it up! Buy it!.

This book is ALL you need to change your thinking about food, lifestyle and health. Read it and you will be changed. Gin has included all the science and research links behind Intermittent Fasting. Her writing style is friendly, humorous and simply informative! It’s just like sitting down with a close friend over coffee, black coffee of course! If you buy this book to help you lose weight you’ll be amazed at how your entire health will benefit! Do not hesitate, this IS the book for you.

I have read numerous other books on intermittent fasting from the library and this was one of them. If I knew nothing about this subject, this would have been a great first port of call. I thought it was so great I ended up buying it.

It has simple and easy to understand information, great recipes, and some useful tools. Well worth a read if you’re wanting to learn more about 16:8.

The second page of the synopsis says that this a special fixed format. I did not read this until after purchase. It is totally unusable on my Kobo or iPhone, and awful on an iPad. It does look like it is primarily an ego trip for the author, with lots of self-photos and little real useful information.

This book is exactly the same as the book “made to crave”. I already own that book. Didn’t need a second copy. Also, I never got the free downloads promised with the pre-purchase. And the book is much smaller than anticipated, I definitely need my glasses for this minute print.

So I will start with I have never had anything like this happened to me in my life. So a friend of mine bought Macy’s vitamins the GN see women’s multivitamins with energy and whenever metabolism so I stopped taking my other multi vitamin and I started taking this one and before the vitamin I had thick healthy hair and that’s after I bleached my hair at home myself it was still healthy as complete.

So about a weekend to take in the vitamins I noticed 1 morning brush in my hair that a little bit extra hair fell out and you know it was a pretty good a mountain I thought wow I must be exaggerating it’s not as much as I’m making it out to be so I’ll let it go 3 weeks was this Sunday I took a shower I got out and I don’t drop a hair I’ll excuse with I just spray it with my leave in condition that I’ve been using for years and I just shake it and Pat it dry and let it air dry.

all my bangs were gone and I couldn’t tell because it was wet and when it’s wet it’s little wavy and it’s laid back when I saw that hair I called my husband in said in tears. I’m bald it’s all gone and he said no you’re not.

Hard time finding 10mg dosage; most were 25mg or 50 mg. As I’m female, and of small stature, the higher dosages took what’s left of my 2nd base and gave me bad acne. Cutting down tablets & splitting capsules got to be a drag.

Husband gladly took them off my hands. These 10mg tablets are tiny enough to take without water & I’m filling out again. Dryness improved & muscles seem firmer. The bottle could be a lot smaller to save space and material since the product occupies about 10% of the space inside the bottle.

I have issues with my mood and anxiety but I’ve never been diagnosed and I don’t take medication. I have tried the KAL DHEA as well as Natrol. KAL is by far superior. What I noticed with 10mg was a dramatic improvement in my mood and anxiety.

I can heartily recommend this book for anyone who wants to take their health and well being into their own hands. I have bought and given away or lent countless copies of this book over the last 15 years.

The advice contained is priceless and extremely well researched by this excellent American doctor. I have followed the advice myself and have experienced the promised benefits of fasting – the longest I have done is 23 days- and also the tremendous feeling of well being which results from following the nutritional advice Dr Fuhrman recommends.

The reason it is not better known is, in my opinion, that there is no third party who benefits from this knowledge. There is nothing extra to buy- and therefore no money to be made by anyone. It is just using the wisdom of the incredible human body we have all been blessed with.

This is a very good quality probiotic from a brand that I trust. I believe the strains are all good for the gut, and are either low in histamine or not histamine-increasing strains. This is very important to me, and I will likely purchase this product for other family members who need to watch out for histamine-increasing strains.
