20 Best Interior Cleaner For Cars (2023 Updated)

I watched several videos and read many reviews before selecting which interior cleaner I wanted. I wanted a solid cleaning product and welcomed any form of protectant that wouldn’t leave a greasy film or residue.

this product exceeded all expectations. It has a pleasant smell and did wonders at taking off gunk left by the “detail” that my dealership did. Cleaned the nav screen amazingly and seems to keep fingerprints from immediately showing back up.

When cleaning the nav screen, I sprayed it on the cloth and then wiped; but for most other large surfaces, I jumped right in and sprayed it on the surface. I haven’t had any issues thus far. Am looking forward to trying the black cherry scent once I finish this bottle.

I expected this product to be amazing but true review, I used a micro cloth on the dash etc interior and wiped after spraying. After doing so everything looked and smelled nice. Next day I got in car and there was spots all over my interior plastic and leather.

Awful. I didn’t know that I had to rub excessively in order to make this product work. Not satisfied at all. It did work on windows nicely. Maybe I will just use it for glass cleaner cause anything that makes my lexus interior look cheap, is a huge thumbs down.

I had tried soap and water and another product without success. Gave this ago and was very happy. Vinyl spa covers were covered in dirt that had been there for ages. Very happy with the cleaning.

A great product which can be used on pretty much any surface. It’s a mild cleaner which did not harm any of the surfaces I have used it on so far. glass, plastic, vinyl and even fabric.

This stuff is legit. Cleans with a nice satin finish look and smooth non oily touch. Smells clean but not sweet, perfect.

Really like chemical guys interior cleaners. Makes interior brand new. My wife’s suv was a disaster but these made it sparkle. This cleaner has a very fruity pineapple / coconut smell that completely neutralized the spilled milk smell.

I personally prefer chemical guys blue multi surface interior detailer because it also works on glass and screens. Also has more of a clean less fruity scent.

I love the smell and gentleness of Griot’s cleaner, but wasn’t happy with the streaks it left behind on navigation screens. So, I decided to try Chemical Guys Inner Clean as I’ve had success with some of their other products.

After one use, this stuff is going in the garbage. It smells like baby powder (not in a good way) and left my hands with a yellow tint after using with a microfiber cloth. The cleaner leaves behind a wet look, almost like a greasy tire dressing.

I can only say that the CarPro Inside has only been used on the interior of my wife’s Honda Pilot. I was doing some correction on the paint while one of my daughters was cleaning the interior. I showed her what product to use & I had already diluted Inside to Car Pros specs.

Anyway I sprayed down the dash & other hard plastics along with the cup holders & told my daughter how to clean all the areas with a microfiber cloth. Well the first thing my daughter does is take a big whiff of the clean fresh scent of Car Pro Inside & says “mmmmm I like that stuff”.

It’s a good thing because I intend on keeping Car Pro around for a while. Anyway, after she had claimed to be done with her interior cleaning I was called over to inspect the work that my OCD 12 year old daughter had done.

I paid most attention to the area that I had sprayed pretty evenly with the product when showing her exactly how to clean each panel. I gotta say that CP Inside does the job very well with a light fresh scent & not the overwhelming APC odor that we’ve all become accustomed to.

Take a bow Car Pro, it’s another homerun. Continue to make concentrated versions & im gonna keep spraying & washing with Car Pro. Thanks for a box full of success Corey.

I just recently got this product to clean leather seats in all of my clients cars, and my personal vehicles. However, it seems to attract flies for some reason. I tested using a different cleaner and had no issues with flies, it’s only with Inside.

If I get this issue fixed it would easily be 5 stars!.

Not the most effective cleaner out there, but some dashboards you wouldn’t want to use anything too harsh either. Pretty effective at removing light stains from putting feet up on the dash and leaves a great, like-new look and a very mild pleasing scent that dissipates within 24 hours.

Only knocking off a star because it wasn’t able to remove a mark from the door sill but that may be something deeper that requires additional attention.

I cleaned half my black dashboard with the Sonax and the other half with dry swifter duster. NO difference! Does not repel dust. I have a fairly new SUV driven only on paved roads. Quite expensive and does not clean as stated.

I do not reccommend this product.

Sonax Dashboard Cleaner is a very good product, better than others I’ve used in the past. Love the matte finish, scent and the fact it creates a dust repellent surface. Only negative comment I have is that after a few days after applying product, lots of tiny dark spots seem to be appearing on my Q7 dash.

This has happened a few times after reapplication of cleaner.

works perfect for a work truck. my husband travels to do cleaning of stainless steel so sometimes his truck gets nasty from the leaking cleaners. this stuff cleaning up the truck like new. impressive the doors that looked like there were woren down on the sides, but it cleaned up all the dirt and built up.

its okay for 2. bucks not worth the money it does nothing , actually makes more of a mess trying to spray interior it does more harm then gd

I did not expect anything less than satisfaction with Meguiar’s Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner. It performs as stated on the bottle and you can now get those hand oils off your steering wheel, door handles and center console.

The seats as well. I tried it on every surface, except the cloth and suede materials, like it says not to. It worked great. It cleans the simulated wood too and doesn’t streak. And it does an outstanding job on the LCD and Navigation screen.

No oily residue. No streaks. Just real clean looking. It’s quick and easy and looks like you’ve spent more time detailing than what this product takes to apply.

I like to use this product in conjunction with a leather/Vinland cleaner. Typically will use this to clean leather, vinyl, and plastic surfaces. Then use leather/vinyl conditioner, then do a final wipe down of plastic with this quick detailer to remove any overspray.

Detailer has a light but pleasant sent and provides a matte protective coating to surfaces. Not greasy or shinny like Armorall, which is not good for you interior plastic.

This was worth absolutely every cent, really worked well on all the internal, even the seats. A spray, work out the dirt/stain with a brush and then clean off with a clean ‘bag of rags’. The car was quick dirty as my Daughter has a dog.

However this Mguiars Quik interior detailer worked awesome, worth every cent, would buy again. I even used it to remove a stain on my couch at home.

I wanted a gallon (even though I’d never tried this before) but they were sold out. I only got a 16 Oz bottle. Cleaned my truck (2019 Ram 1500) once with it thus far. I think the clean is better than Armor All amd leaves behind a refreshing clean but mild scent.

Doesn’t shine like Armor All does however.

I didn’t like the product the odor it gave off was horribly chemically. For an interior cleaner most of the others I’ve used have a pleasant scent to them to help deodorize. Functionally it works well but the smell could be altered.

Confession more than once have i spilled my drink inside my car. The difference with this last time is that I had this product to help clean it up. Arguably the fastest and easiest cleaning experience after a moment of clumsiness like that.

While this product was excellent to my Suburban’s interior, my wife tried it on her English Horse Saddle. She can back from the barn with a small on her face. The Leather and Interior Cleaner wiped aways years of accumulation.

So, if you have a vehicle with a horse trailer attached, buy two bottles of this proven product. My bottle disappeared and I think my wife has it at the barn.

I dont know about this one anymore. First of all it is not clean cotton, I got an older almond scented one and it is not even the good older almond/cherry scent. I liked it better when it used to be light purple and smelled good.

This one leaves more residue than i remember it having, so you really have to go heavy with a wet rag after each pass (which is get it part of the instructions), just not like it used to be. Ill see what happens.

I am a huge Adams polishes supporter and love their products. Unfortunately though, this product really disappointed me. I cleaned the inside of my Newer silverado (only 19,000miles on the vehicle) and it completely ate the finish off the door.

Once I contacted Adams with pictures on what it did the only thing they could tell me was to continue removing all the material and then coat it will plastic and vinyl coating past? Unfortunately I just stopped and threw the product out because I did not want to do anymore damage than it already had.

Unfortunately This product will be avoided.

I used this on a job that reeked smoke smell. Poured some inside my mytee carpet extractor because I can’t even imagine what else seeped inside the fabric since the vehicle had caked in grime in carpet and in vinyl surfaces.

Even the signal lever had caked in grime. I did not want to take chances and the fabric afterwards had no smell. I’m not making any claims here, but just in my first time use of this product on the car I used it in, this is what my experience was after the job and the owner liked the outcome.

Love this product! Sprayed onto upholstery where a cup of milk had spilled a number of weeks earlier, and the smell had gone crazy! One application, the scent of the product was not obnoxious nor overpowering, and the milk odor was gone and hasn’t returned, 10 days later!.

We’ve tried everything we could think of, with many man hours of cleaning, to get the offensive odor out of our daughters car after a crockpot with ham and it’s juices spilled over. My husband used this product a couple of weeks ago and so far so good.

If it continues to stay improved it will be such a relief to us. I more than highly recommend this to get out odors and organic matter. I thought we were going to have to replace the carpet.

Hands down one of the best vehicle products I have used. Quality you can see, feel, and smell. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Even for just a quick clean it works wonders. Leaves the vehicle with a nice light clean smell.

Only downside is while shipping it did spill which was a bummer. Thankfully it wasn’t half the bottle that spilled. Only recommendation I would say is it would be better to ship with spray attachment separate instead of already on the bottle.

I wasn’t even mad because the product was so good haha.

Found product to be OK but no where near as good as current product, AUTOKLENE SD120 iNTERIOR CLEANER. If you can make the effort of contacting this Company , you won’t be disappointed. P & S product was OK on lightly soiled areas but struggled on heavy / grubby areas.

SD 120 is the recommended interior cleaner for Bentley !.

This product smells great (like cherry) and cleans really well! It didn’t leave any residue on my car seats or steering wheel. I used it without diluting but will try 1:1 next time to see how that works.

I love this stuff. I have used other brands in the past and this one takes the cake. I feel that this one really takes the dirt out. Plus I haven’t had the caps on it break like I have on other ones.

Plus it has a nice smell as well. Doesn’t smell like chemicals like some other ones do. Lastly, I don’t feel like the bristles are too stiff where it is going to tear the stitching out of my seat. That is a plus.

This is a great powerful cleaner. I love it, it has brought my headliner and carpet back to life. I truly didn’t know what to expect but I am beyond impressed and happy. A tree fell on my car and it busted my back window out and I wasn’t able to drive it for a while and the moisture caused mold and mildew to grow in my car.

I thought my car was a total loss because I tried a few other products and nothing helped not even the smell which was very heartbreaking because this was a older car that was custom fixed up. I scrubbed everything twice and everything thing is like new.

The directions are very clear and easy to follow. This required a lot of arm muscle and scrubbing but it was worth it. I used a rubber jar opener to keep grip of the can because after scrubbing for so long the can got slippery.

I like how the brush comes off and how this cleaner eliminates odors. I also used this in my other car the seat had a red stain on it from the pervious owner and it came up with ease and this also dries up quickly.

Overall this is a great cleaner I am so glad I got this and wish I used it sooner. This is my go to cleaner from not on and I highly recommend this.

I am so thankful for the Armor All FreshFX Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. This little can saved the interior of my van, as well as my kids booster seat. Most people with kids can imagine just how dirty a vehicle’s interior can get when going on vacation.

A 10 hour car trip, plus a kid who gets car sick easily, plus food, trash and all the things that go along with that. my van was trashed and smelly. This amazing stuff was able to get out stains from ground in food, mud and my kid getting sick.

As if that wasn’t good enough, it took the smell out of the van as well! It worked so great that I decided to try it on the booster seat that my child was sitting in. I used it on the seat plus the seat belts and it not only took out the sick stains and smell, but it took out previous stains from dirty shoes and candy that I had tried to clean out numerous times.

Now everything is clean and smells great and I have the Armor All FreshFX Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner to thank. I promptly went out and got a can to keep in each car.

On a trip home from a restaurant, I spilled a balsamic vinaigrette sauce on the alcantara surface of my car seat and on the console between the seats. In addition to the visual stains, the odor of the sauce took over from the new-car smell.

I pulled out a spray bottle of this product, which I had never used, and was blown away by the total elimination of both the smell and the stains. I had hoped for an easing of the symptoms, and instead I got a cure.

Subsequent uses for less-catastrophic issues have been equally gratifying.

I have always found this product to work well, however is has one flaw. I bought a gallon of interior cleaner and stored it in my garage. Get the bottle recently to and find my small sprayer and my gallon have completely separated.

There is nasty precipitate all in both bottles. Shaking it up does nothing to remix it. Given the price I would expect this product to be able to be stored in a garage longer. I have had large bottles of it before and not had this problem.

It also clogged up my spray bottle. No happy. This is not up to the quality of most GG products.

I had used the regular Armor All before, but never tried the Armor All Multi Purpose Cleaner before. I was impressed. It did a great job on the dash and “hard” parts of the car, leaving them looking like new, as you expect Armor All to do, but I also used it on the seats of my car, which had some stains on them.

They had been in there a while, so it took a few tries, but it got the stains out of the cloth type seats I have as well, so I was impressed. There was no staining or discoloring of the seats either.

I touched up the wheels as well, and they also looked great. This really seems like a great addition to the Armor All product line. I’ll definitely get this again when I run out.

I received the Armor All Multi Purpose Cleaner through the TryIt Sampling Community and simply said, my husband was thrilled. He used it immediately on all of our vehicles and it did the job!! We have three dogs that love to go to the beach to play and swim and for anyone who knows what happens next, the interior of the car quickly gets filled with dirt, debris, and hair.

We have always used other products to wipe down the interior but it quickly fades away. Armor All Multi Purpose Cleaner keeps things cleaner longer. Would recommend giving it a try. We are hooked.

I am a big fan of Armor All products and the Multi Purpose cleaner did not disappoint! It easily cleans plastics and vinyls with just a soft cloth and minimal scrubbing. The odor is pleasant and the chemicals are not harsh on the skin.

Best of all I like the finish it leaves for auto interiors. It is not glossy like standard armor all protectant and it is not flat but somewhere in between. I prefer to use the multipurpose cleaner on the interior and leave it at that.

Like all Sonax products, they work well. This is the xtreme version of their interior cleaner as it has an added odour remover in the mix. So if you’re cleaning plastic or fabric, you’re removing odours at the same time.

Pleasant smell, good cleaning power, solid product.

Hilfe musste her, so kam ich zum Sonax Autoinnenreiniger. Das Produkt ist erstklassig! Es lsst sich sehr gut aufsprhen, verarbeiten und duftet recht angenehm (nicht s oder vanillig). Ich besprhte grndlich alle Sitze und wischte sie mit einem fusselfreiem Tuch ab.

Beim Putzen bemerkte ich, dass der Geruch eigentlich im Stoff des Dachhimmels “festsa”, somit besprhte ich mehrmals und grndlich den Dachhimmel und wischte ihn so gut es ging mit einem Tuch ab. Etwa ein paar Stunden spter war vom Zwiebelgeruch nix mehr da.

Das Auto roch nach Sonax, was deutlich angenehmer war. Der Duft verfiegt etwa in ein, zwei Wochen und der Pizzageruch ist weiterhin zuverlssig verschwunden. Ich bin mega happy! Absolut empfehlenswert!.
