Stops airflow and sound too. When we took out the carpet and have just the hardwood floor, it left a larger gap under the door. Heat and air cond. would escape into the hallway. Also, talking, music, tv, etc was extra loud coming from under the door.

This stopped the sound too. The Door Guard tends to want to slide off a little at a time when he door opens and closes so I took a small piece of duct tape and taped it to the door in one spot near the door jam.

The tape is barely noticeable and it stays in place now.

Great quality and very sturdy. Unfortunately my interior doors in my manufactured home are too narrow and set high above the transition strip. This item will probably work in a different door set up.

I am unable to modify my doors.

I would definitively recommend this product but it has to be this particular brand though! I spent a few bucks and a really cheap off brand door guard and I guess it worked sort of but it was only half the thickness of this one so I would definitely spend the extra money because it’s worth totally worth it!.

Is someone in your family a fanatic about the energy bills and cold drafts in the winter?I cannot look at towels, sheets, old blankets or old table cloths anymore by my front door. My family was fighting over who was neurotic over drafts and who wasn’t.

So I bought something funny to look at instead of towels and blankets by my door. Besides, people were getting trapped outside because of the barricade. If we can’t have cats because everyone is allergic, and I don’t have the time for a pet, other than fish, this is the answer.

It’s cute, and defuses arguments about winter drafts. It’s like a heavy pillow that rests against the door. After I bought it, somebody in the house bought extra insulation to place around the bottom of the door for additional draft protection.

If you are a dog person, there are pillows with dogs as well. I say we should have a family photo of everyone laughing, and make a long pillow to place by the door on windy nights.

sure it’s a draft STOPPER, for real. and my 65yo door has space that needed a tall part on the left, so this was really the only one that provided just that kind of blocking. but the pop of little kitties is why any of us are really buying it, it’s just a bonus that it actually works and works well.

had been rolling up a $6 throw rug b/c my super frugal mom said $25 was too much to spend. but the rug was annoying and constantly needed maintained between vacuuming and rerolling. so this little bugger i- which is well crafted and sturdy, is a life and time and energy/gas bill saver.

sits well against the door and does halt the chills. now that AC is on, it’s stopping the heat. super cute and effective. if there is any con, and reason for 4 not 5 stars – it’s that it doesn’t have quite the heft/weight i feel that would really keep it butted nicely against the bottom of the door.

if you give it as a gift to a cat lover, i think they would like it as much as i do. could be $5 cheaper i think.

I use on a California King with pillow top mattress topper. Sometimes the cal sheets don’t always stay put due to my tendency to flip and flop. These have been a game changer. They keep my sheets from popping off and the mattress topper from sliding towards the end of the bed.

It takes a couple of tries to figure out what is the best method of application for your bed but once you do, it takes only moments to apply. I have found that attaching the middle clasp besidethe corner seam of the sheet and then the inside clasp (for the corners closest to the headboard) before, I put the sheets on the mattress works best.

I then use the last clasp to tighten and secure the sheet to my mattress.

The pebblesgrains are in awkward pockets in a few different places. Not easy to divide, so it lays funny. Nyeh.

I’m using these on my windowsills to stop any drafts during the below zero weather we have been having. They seem to help a lot and am very happy with this purchase.

Had to replace my busted entry threshold. The newer threshold left a larger gap. My original door sweep was dry rotted from the elements and age. The old one was held on with long staples through the bottom of the door.

After using a small pry bar and some pulling it was free. I picked this up being hesitant about no hardware needed for mounting. I actually had planned to use a drill for pilot holes and screws. This sweep fit tight once it was within about 5 inches of the 35 1/2 cut length.

I had to use the rubber mallet as suggested in the instructions. The gap in between the threshold and the door is sealed. This product was perfect for my needs and if you have at least a 3/8 to 3/4 gap between door and threshold then do not hesitate and buy this sweep.

I put this on the garage door that goes outside. It was an absolute nightmare to get on. It took me an hour. Impossible to slide. It took everything I had to push it on. Finally, the hammer did the rest.

Do not recommend. There must be another product that is better and easier.

Absolutely love them they look so real like a real cat it keeps out the cold and it does work as far keeping out the noise. Highly recommend them.

This was the ideal solution to prevent cold air from getting under a porch door into the house, and it is weighted enough to keep it in place. The dog is cute, and the cats want to befriend it.

love this! I have a wood door at the beach that is ill fitting and the wind just whips in there all winter I just put this on and it stopped the wind coming in immediately. easy to install, can be raised up if you have a carpet and then lowered when you want to have maximum wind stoppage.

Excellent product, I have a metal door and this product is great for keeping out the cold. I intend to purchase addition items for the other doors. There are two options, use the magnet or the under door attachments that make it possible to attach the draft stopper to the door, no more moving the draft guard from the door in order to open it.

Bought it for my daughter and son-in-law who are renting a house. Their back door has a big gap so they use it to keep the home heat and / or a/c from escaping. At first I thought they’d need to keep moving it as the door opened and closed, but my son-in-law used a staple gun to attach it to the bottom of the door.

So when door opens or closes this guard stays in place. Works great.

Though this door draft would be great for that reason having sand filled, I use it for my metal screen door to keep the mice out of my place. Having sand-filled covers the spaces better cause I can form closer where it is needed better.

This device is heavy for its size and well made. I really like it.

With all the amazing reviews that I read about this draft guard, I think I expected it to be more substantial than it actually is. It says that it’s made of both foam and sand–which it is, but truthfully it’s about 96% foam with just a small handful of sand tucked in the bottom side of it.

The sand does provide a little weight to the guard, but with all the foam in it, I’ve found it to be more flimsy and less sturdy. I’m not able to just kick the guard into place once I’ve closed the door, but in order to get it positioned so that it’s actually blocking the draft, I have to kneel down next my door and put it exactly in place.

On our extra-cold days, I’ve felt the the draft come through the foam. If you’re looking for a light-weight, inexpensive guard to put next to a door that won’t be used much, then I would recommend this one.

Since I’m using it against my drafty front door which is being opened and closed constantly, I wish I would have spent a little more more money on a more substantial guard.

I purchased the two pack 36” door draft stopper to alleviate the draft from outside. They don’t actually measure 36” and leave about a 2” gap per door, making them less effective. They also aren’t wide enough for the door I purchased them for, as they don’t quite reach the threshold.

Cool idea though – there’s a hanger that makes them look decorative when not in use. We will keep them but had hoped for something that better helped with blocking the draft.

Felt an immediate shift in the atmosphere as soon as I placed it against the door jamb. The room got warmer on that side of the room. Works like a charm. May decide to order 2 more to use against the sliding glass door.

Very effective and pretty draft blocker. It is zippered, with a removable, self contained pillow inside, meaning I can easily add more pillowing as needed later. The zipper will also make spot cleaning easier and hand washing in cold water possible.

“Spot cleaning only” is recommended by the manufacturer.

I put the draft blockers in the gap between floor and heater. There’s been a terrible breeze coming from there every winter. Now they block that cold air from entering. I’ll save $ on my hearing bill.

This does the job but it wasn’t what I had thought I ordered. What I actually need is the ones that go under the door along both sides of the door to keep out bugs and drafts. I am using this for the time being but will be ordering the item I had actually wanted.

This looks nice in front of the door but it isn’t as long as the description said it was and it doesn’t cover the entire bottom of the door.

This fits perfectly under my standard interior wooden door down to the basement and slides on the wood floor underneath so I have a draft stopper that I don’t have to fuss with every time I open and close the door.

Looks nice enough and the price was good.

I bought this for a drafty door. It was a gift for my brother. It really worked and keeps the draft out. Anyone having these types of issues. Buy one of these. It does the trick.

really nice door draft stopper. I agree with the other reviewers, I wish it was made for more exterior door lengths. Needs to be 36 inch. but still looks fantastic even if the door is a littler bigger.

First of all, these are made for doors that are 36 inches wide; our doors are 40”, and so I simply modified them by adding a section of pool noodle between the 2 included sections of foam that form the draft stopper on each side of the door.

The material is stretchy enough that it accommodated the extra length. Overall, these seem to be well made, and we noticed a difference right away in the amount of air that was coming in under our doors.

While we do have standard raised door sills, we have thick, rubber-backed entrance rugs that help offset the height issue created by the raised sill, and it prevents the draft stopper from getting caught between the door and the sill, and allows it to “glide” up to the height of the sill.

Overall, quite pleased with the appearance and functionality.

Game changer. I purchased this a few days ago, not for warm/cold air, but to keep smells from other apartments coming into mine. We don’t share vents, but everyone shares a hallway, which is carpet that hasn’t been cleaned since I’ve been here, poorlet ventilated, and mostly everyone here is a smoker, I’m not.

Going on day 3 since purchased, I have not smelled smoke or anybody’s funk since I installed it (installation easy). I love this. Wish there were more colors. Will definitely recommend to anyone that lives in an apt where u don’t share heating/cooling vents.

This draft guard is great. I love it. I had one before that worked okay but wouldn’t stay in place and slid around all the time, even with the use of the velcro tab. I was constantly adjusting it back into position.

This one fits under my door perfectly and doesn’t shift at all. And it definitely keeps out any extra drafty air and critters too.

My high rise unit has its deficits with air flow. i By placing a draft dodger in a slightly open window, I have access to fresh air year round. It fits nicely in the opening and is flexible to allow as much or as little air as I need to flow when I choose.

It really makes a difference in the quality of my environment. It’s worth every penny I spent for it.

Excellent construction – The filling is nice and thick. They will do a great job keeping the chill out side. I have one inside my front door and the other at the base of my bay window frame. They are very well made.

I like that they came 2 to a package. There are air gaps around the doors and windows and I’ll order another set.

While this draft guard isn’t as cute as one I got from BB&B the previous winter (Berto the Cat), it certainly does the trick. It fits well against the bottom of my door, and I really like the loop on one end that allows you to easily pull it out of the way, or suspend it from a hook by the door when it’s not in use.
