20 Best Insoles For Tennis Shoes (2023 Updated)

Been buying these for years, works for me much better than any pricier ones I bought from specialty stores. This may sound funny but these work best for me when I don’t trim them to size. I wear a 7.

5 in running shoes and I just force these in. I trimmed my first pair and the arch didn’t feel quite right but when I used them without trimming, it improved the feel of the arch and my heel. I also don’t experience squeakiness as much (although in one pair of Nikes it drove me nuts and I had to remove them).

I rotate between several pairs of running shoes as well as replace these inserts and it has helped extend the life of my running shoes before replacing.

I went to Walmart to try the kiosk of for the custom series and had planned on purchasing the cf 440’s. Then I found these and felt how hard the arch support was and thought it felt a little bit harder hoping my wait would not flatten the arch support over time.

I stayed in the shoe insert section for a while and since there were way cheaper and supported the whole foot with a firm and thick arch and heel support, so I decided to purchase these instead to test out to save money.

I loved how they supported the front of my feet as well and felt a huge difference in balance and pain relief. My left foot and slightly deformed with no arch since I fractured my calcaneus. What I loved about these, there was comfort in the front of my feet as and was actually able to slightly stand using my calves and lift my heel off the ground and support myself, standing using the top of my feet.

I felt a slight calve pain since I have not been able to do this in a long time nor have I been able to run in 2 years. I often few pain after standing after a few hours. Being indecisive and I thought I would return them and try Dr.

Scholl’s Cutom fits cf 440. So now I own a pair of those instead. After reading several reveals I have heard great things about the active wear series, which also support the whole feet from heel to toe, which I do really need.

But am wary to try them since the custom fits cf 440 had said to have a great arch support, but they do not support the top of my feet or the whole feet. Thinking about maybe trying out the active series but still am not sure if they would compare to these cf 440’s which are great.

The athletic series running insoles provided great support for the whole feet from top to bottom which I did love and somewhat disappointed I didn’t exchange them for the activewear to try instead. But the cf 440s do help with arch support and heel pain and wonder how they would compare to the active series which I have read great reviews about.

These seem to be a much cheaper version of the active wear series so cannot compare to how different they may be, but during the little time I had them, I loved how they supported the whole foot including the top of my feet where the helped relieved the pain.

I don’t know if there would be much of a difference between the active series since they almost look identical, except for the price difference as the active wears are much more expensive. But these were great in providing support for the balls of my feet and the arch support was quite, descent.

I really do miss the support cushion for the top of my feet since I returned them and bought the more expensive cf 440’s. But I do how much of a difference they would be in support, compared to the active series.

The only difference I see so far is the price difference between active series being more expensive and have read a lot of great reviews on them. But they look almost identical. I accidentally reviewed the active series by mistake thinking they were the running series but have not tried them yet.

But did love the support the running series had and made my whole feet feel much more relieved and could actually balance and move around smoothly. I usually walk with a lot of pressure in my arch and heel and these helped greatly.

I may try the active series sometime if I get the chance to see if there is a big difference, Currently, I am wearing the cf 440s but there is not a lot of support for the whole foot but only the arch and heel.

These Running Insoles from Dr. Scholl’s Athletic Series, have been a miracle for me! I have suffered from Plantar Fasciitis for a year! I have had 2 cortisone shots, heel cups, a cam walking boot, superfeet orange inserts.

and nothing worked to get rid of my heel/arch pain. These have the deep heel cup, the arch support, and the cushion so your foot doesn’t hurt with every step. I bought the insoles for all of my shoes! I use the inserts along with the SB SOX compression Foot Sleeves I bought on Amazon.

Try them, they are better than the ones listed for just Plantar Fasciitis. These also help shin splints and runners knee.

Insoles were a little difficult to cut for fitting purposes but once trimmed, they molded well to my foot as described in the instructions.

I have had a severe case of plantar fasciitis for over a year. I usually walk 3 miles daily. I have had inserts from 2 different Podiatrists, a Chiropractor and from Dr Scholls. I also buy good tennis shoes.

I have done therapy and NOTHING has helped. I bought these inserts and after several weeks of wearing them, they are working! They did take a while to get used to. The arch area is higher, but possibly that’s what I needed.

I was in such pain everyday trying to figure out how I could relieve the pain. I was using arch heel pads and it was not doing the job. I couldn’t understand how a full foot pad that was thin could help me when my supposedly arch/heel pad was thicker and not doing the trick.

Terrific product!!! Better than what my Orthopedic doctor has given me. On my feet for 4 – 5 hours a day on hard concrete floor. Changed out my shoes to a “Plantar Fasciitis / On your feet all day long” type shoe.

I replaced the insoles with the VIVE brand. Contrary to some of the previous reviews, these inserts do not give way, fall apart, or wear out quickly. I am a large person and the first pair I replaced are still in the shoes doing the job.

I’ve bought insoles before, but not orthopedic insoles. I work as a healthcare assistant and am portering during the lockdown, due to health issues. it’s a lot of walking and as a result, I have developed Plantar Veseitis.

After a week of pain, these gave me immediate relief! They are not cheap, but they are worth it. definitely my best purchase of the year.

This is one of the best gadgets I have spent money on. I love making soup and spiraling a couple zucchini in place of pasta noodles was done in nothing flat! It even looks creative for any dish. The blades are very sharp.

My favorite sneaker insert and its not even close! WAY better than those spongy inserts they sell. Nothing touches them for the tough tennis I play three times a week.

I work at a paper mill in Alabama, and I walk miles a day. My steel toe boots takes a lot , but I take care of them,but the insoles takes a beating. I ordered Easyfeet insoles, and my boots feels better than new.

These insoles didn’t work out. I put them in a new pair of black sandals. I was glad to read that the insoles would not damage my sandals when removed. However, there are several problems with this insole compared to previous Dr.

Scholl’s inserts I’ve used. Because there’s a lip on the perimeter of the insole, it picked up black dye and fibers from the sandal straps and looks disgustingly dirty. Because the insole is wide and has a lip, it shows all the way around, not particularly attractive in a sandal.

Finally, I wore these sandals twice with this insole, and it will no longer stay in place. I’m very disappointed and would not recommend these for sandals, an open toe flat perhaps, but not sandals.

If you have a shoe that’s missing a sole entirely, I can imagine this helps. But if you’re looking for support and comfort, this is not it. I work retail and stand for 7 hours a day and this was just a glorified extra layer of shoe.

Same amount of foot pain as I had without it. The “flex” arch essentially means no support. “Moving with your arch” doesn’t make any sense unless you’re consistently flexing and I flexing your foot. It’s flat and remains flat because your arch is not changing shape as you walk.

I have plantar fasciitis and quite a bit of pain in my heel and this did nothing for it. Find something else.

Likes first – these have turned my thin-soled gladiators into Birkenstocks on a recent vacation. No pain after walking 25-30,000 steps every day. Especially the arch support was really noticeable. Con – they did slip out eventually and got slightly damaged where the back would touch the ground.

They cannot be glued in which is both a pro and a con. And they got really dirty on the bottom. Despite daily washing they looked year old after a week. They probably work better with shoes that have more “structure” to them.

Used it on different shoes, but left insole was different from the right one. The plastic piece underneath is stiffer and higher on the toe end hurting the faciitis cause more of heel pain after using this product.

CVS refused to take return of this product due to trimming. It us insane when they told me use is in your shoes as is without trimming and try, if trimmed we don’t take for return. How in this world a 13size insole can fit into 10size shoes without trimming.

I hate this product, would never recommend anyone. Though there is money back guarantee why would i lose money for manufacturing defects? Please do not buy this product and run into issues. Would rate zero star, but it doesn’t allow unless you choose one star.

Actually ordered the wrong type, but decided to give them a try. I wanted the more gel with no arch support. I’m not a big fan of arch support insoles. These proved my point. At the end of the day my arches are killing me.

I had no arch pain before trying these out. Not enough gel in the ball of yhe foot where I need padding. Most likely I’m going to tose these and buy the thin flat version that seem to offer better padding and no arch pain.

I am very happy with my orthopedic purchase from Upstep! I had other orthotics from a foot doctor that I had been using for years but eventually they started causing me discomfort so I stopped using them.

Then cycling with only the insoles that come with my cycling shoes caused further pain. However, once I got my new orthotics from Upstep that immediately changed! I literally felt the results on the first ride! I’ve had them now for several months and I ride 4 or 5 times per week and have zero complaints.

IšverstiShow in original languageI got these about 3 months ago. They require a few days to get used to, but then provide decent support. After using these for several months, I find they are not as good as the “Spenco Total Support Max Insoles”, which have more arch support.

These are still comfortable after several months of use. The size “3” fits a men’s size 9 very well; I like that the Spenco insoles are sized so that they don’t need to be trimmed to fit the shoes.

I guess it’s a correction since the pain has stopped.

Loving my new warm insoles, the are a perfect fit for my boots and feel lovely on the soles of my feet. Really good for the up coming cold weather. I have put them in my patent boots and although they fit the boots really well and feel nice on my feet they have made my boots feel quite a lot tighter.

My boots are also worn in well so wanted to warn anyone that this may occur.

Need some new insoles after my shoes had been ruined throughout the summer. What better way to show them some love by buying some new insoles. They are comfortable and so easy to slide into the shoes.

These insoles have transformed my boots. They are now more comfortable, giving better support to my feet and feeling like they actually fit, rather than a touch too loose. They are also really soft and snuggly and I’m sure they will keep my feet warm in the winter weather!.

4. Significantly less expensive than custom orthotics. 5. Excellent customer service. 6. Free shipping. Cons: 1. Top foam over heel & arch is thin, could be softer and more supportive over the hard plastic parts.

2. Foam at the forefoot is very supportive and provides great cushion but it is bulky and crowds my shoes. Any thinner yet still effective options? 3. Sesamoid/metatarsal pad is strangely shaped. Rather than being almond shaped it has a protrusion toward the big toe.

This can interfere with the sesamoid bones. I noticed later made Spenco orthotics to have a normal slightly raised almond shaped pad. Can you go back and revise the one on this orthotic? 4. The dual density red & blue foam under the heel sits in place of the hard black plastic which makes for a cushioned heel BUT there is a black hard plastic strip between them which is uncomfortable after long wear.

My heels feel it and it makes them sore. Please consider removing this part. I’d pay extra for the cons to be corrected because the structure of this orthotic is excellent.

I thought the insoles would be more comfortable than they were. I have flat feet and the arch support doesn’t work for me. The first pair of insoles I bought were very comfortable. There were no arch supports just a very soft cushion.

They were green and because I am on my feet all day they were great. I don’t remember which ones they were. If you could look back on my first order and tell me which ones they were, so I could buy them again I would really appreciate it.

I recently took the new pair of insoles out of my new shoes to rave about the Spenco insoles and how they have changed my life to my visiting friend of 40 years. She took note of my praise and recorded the info.

on her phone. Keep in mind, with age, we are not impressed with many products. Spenco insoles are the diamond on the beach that gets noticed. Good performance, good quality, helps feet stay aligned.

What a difference these insoles have made! I followed the break-in directions and allowed my feet a chance to adjust to these new insoles and I’m so happy I did. I can wear my shoes all day long without them being tired and achy since I am on my feet a lot and walking is part of my job.

Even more importantly, my day doesn’t end when my workday does, so I need to keep going!.

These are not the original replacements. They now have a bright green large foam bottom, making them over 1/2 in taller. While I understand this was probably done to make them more comfortable, it actually lifts the foot too high, making your heel slide back and forth and the shoe much tighter across your foot! I don’t have wide or thick feet, but these make the shoes too uncomfortable to wear, because now, they are too tight across the foot and the heel slides out.

So, the idea that you can replace the insole is not correct. Extremely disappointing, because they don’t make the same replacements and these will leave you with blisters. They should update the website with the correct information.

Now I have a pair of sneakers that are worthless, and that’s very disappointing, because I really did love these shoes.

I ordered these insoles to slip into my Rothy’s sneakers between washes. I assumed they would be exactly the same as the insoles my Rothy’s came with, but I was wrong. They have significantly more padding.

In the attached photos, you’ll see how much more – look at the sole with the green bottom. With these insoles, my sneakers no longer fit. If you are looking to make your Rothy’s more comfortable, these are a great option for you.

But be advised that you’ll need to size your sneaker up an additional half or whole size – these insoles + your regular size will be way too tight. If you are looking for straight-forward replacement soles, like I was, pass on these.

I purchased an extra pair on insoles for the sneakers I purchased for my husband. the new sneakers now come with different insoles then the extra insole replacement. The new style sneakers come with an insole similar to the driver’s insole.

Thicker and squishier. Also, the new insoles don’t come with the extra blue heel insert to give the extra comfort because it is built into the insole. The extra insole I purchased with the sneakers are the old style no extra squish and no heel insert.

Rothy’s should really pay attention to these little inconveniences. I do like the fact that the new sneakers have the squishier insoles. But if you’re purchasing and extra insole you would think they should be sending you the same style that the shoe comes with.
