After I broke my non impact rated socket adapter in half I decided to get one that was actually rated for impact use. This is the one I bought and even after a few months of use with my battery powered dewalt impact gun it seems to be working with no issues.

This is a simple 1/4″ hex to 3/8″ square socket adapter. I’ve used it for a few weeks now, it’s handled my impact drill with ease, socketrs stay secured and tight. These are essential adapters for any drill/driver assembly.

We use several 1/2 square drive impacts, so this makes sense for those times I need more screw guns. It makes the square drive more versatile. If I’m working on a project where I need different tips, i can have multiple tools, each with it’s own tip.

I put one in each square drive kit so if I’m on the job and need to put in a screw I can without running to the truck for a screw gun. The down side is it makes the tool longer, there is some wobble, and my square drive impacts turn slower than the 1/4 inch hex drive tools.

That said, this little attachment is very well made and i am very happy with it.

This is a great solution for using all of your 1/4″ shank tools with your 1/2″ drive power tools. It connects easily and securely and stays connected. Knurled grip helps with the quick connect when switching 1/4″ tools.

Check out the video on YT by Project Farm. PF did a torture test of 18 different adapters and the DeWalt adapters came out on top in nearly every test. What was apparent in the review by PF is Socket adapters with a thicker shank hold up better.

I use these all the time at work and the Dewalt adapters hold up longer than any other brand. However, it’s possible that you might get a dud that isn’t very durable. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

Value is the only downside. because you might get more bang for your buck from buying OffBrand adapters with a thicker shank in bulk. The only advice I can give here is avoid Socket Adapters with a thin shank like the plague.

The shock rated claim is bogus and these thinner shank adapters will often break when they’re challenged.

I bought this set to remove long bolts with My hand held cordless drill. It performs great I loosen them First with socket wrench.

I love all this new era of tools and handy equipment which the average home owner and DIYer can fix, make, or customize stuff themselves. I’ve never been super coordinated, super skilled, the consummate handyman, and on tops- I even have some physical disability which limits my speed and accuracy with common tools.

However, this is a solid little adapter with the typical Dewalt namebrand good quality. I bought it because it is a super handy little adapter piece which allows cross-purposing of a few tools, all easy to keep at hand or in a little work bag together.

It fits quite snugly into my Dewalt 12V hand tool-driver and allows mixing the different sockets to torque in/out hex head screws, or working with socket driven connectors. I also use it in my smaller torque-ratchet hand driver so that it allows me to customize the amount of pressure I put into a crafts project, or the No Trespassing sign on our private property here, or to simply fix the mailbox- some projects where the 3/8″ sockets are needed, and sometimes this piece is handy just because there’s not much work space allowed in small, tight areas with stuff already mounted in place.

– If you don’t have one of these converters, yes, buy it- If you work with tools more than once amonth you will eventually need it. Notonly the convenience of this particular adapter, but unlike some recent cheaply-made junk adapters by other no-name brands, this Dewalt has the quality meant to last for years (oh, but make sure it’s not in a place easy enough to steal either)- LOL.

I was worried about loss of torque adapting my 1/2 impact to a 3/4″ socket. Never fear. This adapter fits nice and snuck. No play at all. Transferred all the torque from my Milwaukee impact into a Mazda 13B flywheel bolt.

Off in less than a second. Childs play. Also felt solid when torquing back on at install. Adapter is very solid.

Used this to help remove blade bolts from a bush hog. Wound up using a 6’ pipe on 3/4” pull-handle to break them loose after trying the 1/2” electric impact with this adapter. The impact wouldn’t break the bolts loose but this adapter held up like a champ to the abuse I gave it.

I use these when at work and Im a mason so dust and mortar usually destroys things like this. Not the case with these. I only get a couple months use out of the other brand I use so I was pretty impressed at how long these have been used without seizing the part that keeps the socket on.

I have numerous Milwaukee sets and all Milwaukee cordless tools and love them all except the socket drivers. I’ve broken several of the 1/2″ drivers on light bolts. I would not recommend buying these.

Once the shift breaks you can’t get them out of the driver extension so then you have to replace 2 pieces. The last one broke on the first nut that it was put on with the impact driver set on the #1 setting.

I have some of these from the harbor freight and they work but these makita units are much shorter and enable the user to get into tighter areas than the hf ones. Nicely machined. Have a spring ball that retains the socket.

Fit well into the hex on the driver. Nice pieces!.

Have tried several different brands that broke w/ their 1st use. So far these are holding up at what I feel is a reasonable price. I purchased a 2nd set just in case, but have not needed to use it.

Milwaukee is a great tool especially the 3/8” x 1/4” adapter. It’s color coded to making the identification of item easier to pick out from other sizes that you have.

Great way to drive socket using my drill. Very good fit and is not lose. This does not wobble with high speeds. I bought this attachment because I had a lot of bolts to be able to screw in. I was going to use a Phillips screw but they tend to strip with high torque values over to drive into things but I like to use the bolts that have the hexagon because they don’t strip is easy.

I was able to complete my job without any of the boat heads or nuts stripping. This has a very good contact even at high speeds it did not wobble one bit. I use this on my new DeWalt impact driver. My choices were to purchase the well-known Dewalt that I know will last or go to Harbor freight and pay for one of those that may not last as long.

I have use this attachment on for jobs and have not had any slips. I like this so much that I went ahead and got the quarter-inch driver also. This work especially well when I was driving in a 5 inch lag bolts.

But at the same time also worked well with a 2 inch lag bolts. I did go on a job where I did not have my Dewalt impact driver and I use my Ryobi. I was concerned of the Robbie would not have a good fit onto the Dewalt attachment.

But once I totqued down the chuck and had a good fit. And it did not wobble even with the 5 inch lag bolt. And even on one time I left it out overnight and I got a bunch of do you want to head and it did not rust,.

Bought it to use with the Dewalt 1/4 XR impact. Works great; no issues. Locks into place with no wobble or play in the mechanism. I would buy it again.

Perfect to make your impact driver a motorized nut driver. Bought cause I got tired of using a manual ratchet when I hung TV brackets, save a bunch of time shortly after purchasing to hang 3 TVs for a client.

I love this adapter, it works great! The only downside I see is that if I put my drill face-down into a pipe or some other holder, I run the risk of the adapter being bumped and dropping my bit into the pipe (yes this actually happened).

Id prefer to pull outward to change bits, but oh well. Also it sometimes comes off the 3/8 square shaft. There are tiny holes on the adapter, and it seems as though you could tap them and add a set screw.

They shouldve done that at the factory in my opinion. Other than that, I have no complaints it works as intended. Mechanism seems solid and doesnt jam up.

The moment I got this I made sure to play with it and it was flawless. Popped right on and was a bit of a bear to take off honestly. I used it for a week or so and it was great. After a week of light use I noticed a LOT of slop.

it doesn’t hold tight anymore and can easily move over 1/8 of an inch in any direction. That not only makes things like lining up paddle bits frustrating, it also makes the driver lose a bit of power working at a sub-optimal angle.

If I really lay on it and keep it straight and from wiggling it works. But we don’t use impacts to lay on them now do we? If this had better fitment specs or a way to lock it into place it would be an easy 5 stars.

Completely fails at the one simple job it’s meant to do. After one day, it constantly drops the bits. Really annoying when you’re up on scaffolding and you need to climb down and dig through the dirt to find your bit all day long! Very disappointing for the price of it.

Bought this to remove torx head concrete screws that the Makita impact driver could not remove. Used this adaptor in a 1/2 inch impact wrench and problem solved. It saved more money than it cost.

Holds short hex bits but leaves not much showing when fully inserted. Better suited to longer hex bits. Can be hard to eject bits.

I used this with a draper stormforce cordless impact wrench to drive in some 4 inch decking screws, about 20 in total and it stood up well and hasn’t gotten loose at all. The impact wrench is meant to produce 400nm of torque which is about double that of an impact driver so it’s a pretty heavy duty accessory to have on your impact wrench.

I bought a set of these because I need to adapt a 1/4” drive torque to a 3/8” drive. I gave this set a 4 start rating because the set should have included a 3/4” drive down to a 1/2” drive socket. I like Pittsburgh impact sockets.

I’ve never broken one yet despite heavy use. My only gripe with this and other Pittsburgh impact socket sets is that they will skip sizes in their sets and not include them. For example, I’ve bought Pittsburgh metric socket sets an they will include 10mm-15mm, then skip 16mm and jump to 17mm, skip 18mm and jump to 19mm.

I wish they would make their sets complete.

I got these adapters after nearly twisting off a chrome 3/8 to 1/2 adapter on my rattle wrench. These adapters are good and solid and work very well. The socket stays on the adapter well and the adapters stay on my various rattle wrenches (all friction ring type) perfectly.

I am a weekend warrior, so I can’t vouch for these in a professional setting, but for my uses, they work perfectly.

This is a great budget set of impact socket adapters! Very strong and lots of options. My issue was the packaging. The design is such that the holders seem practically intended to break off inside the socket, this happened on the majority of the adapters, no matter what technique was tried to remove them.

Prying/drilling them out was a PITA I didn’t need. This isn’t the only socket-like tool set to use the same bad packaging design, seems there are several unfortunately.

Quality Dewalt adapter. Bought this to use 3/8″ socket to remove lug nurmts with my Dewalt impact driver.

I got this to adapt 3/8 sockets to my new Craftsman C3 impact driver. It fits the 1/4 inch quick change bit holder fine. It also fits my Craftsman 3/8 sockets properly. This adapter extends the functionality of the impact driver.

There is also a 1/4 to 1/2 adapter. But for 1/2 drive and high torque applications it is better to use a proper impact wrench.

I’ve used all 3 now, the 1/2 drive came in more handy than I thought it would. All 3 worked as they should and withstand the max torque put out by a Milwuakee fuel 1/4 hex impact. Negative aspect of this set is the 1/4 square adapter is longer than it needs to be; they’ve made all 3 the same length and neglected the fact the 3/8 and especially the 1/4 adapter could actually be shorter.

This would get the socket closer to the impact driver and give even better access in tight spaces. Regardless these are still a good set and are the shortest I’m aware of, I just can’t get to 5 stars for the above reasons.

I do not know why other products are twice as long. Those are the advantages of this adapter come. First, it saves metal to be made. Second, it is stronger since it is shorter. Third, most importantly, it will work in much tighter spaces.

I have a regular set but I will rest them in my toolbox because I will use the stubby set. I hope it will make my Milwaukee impact drive work as a stubby impact wrench. I really love my regular 1/2 impact wrench, but that thing is heavy and big.

Appears to be a well made 1/2 to 3/4 adapter. Seems to be made from heavy duty material and well put together. I don’t expect to use it to the end of it’s rated strength but expect it will hold up to reasonable usage!.

I used this one to open an scooter 54mm big nut. It works with my 1/2 electric impact and did the work.

The whole set came in handy the day they arrived. Worked great and easy to use in my cordless impact wrench. Would recommend this item to anybody that is looking for something like this.

Seem like this was raised around 10mm sockets as my original grew legs and left me. Found a new one on eBay when my local Depot doesn’t stock single Milwaukie sockets. This Socket set is the best I have encountered for small impact tools.

I don’t use them that much, but these work great! I replaced the ones I got from harbor freight. Like I said I don’t use them that much with my socket set if I need to use it on a drill. I have set of those.

The ones from harbor freight will always get stuck in the socket. I wound up throwing it in the garbage, because that’s the quality of harbor freight tools. I bought these in hopes to be better and they are.

Not only they come out every time I used them, but they feel and look like quality too.

They work well. They look and feel very cheap as do most of Titan tools, but I have used these every day for about 2 years now and none of them have broken. I use mostly the 1/4″, sometimes the 3/8, and rarely the 1/2.

They are great for use in my Dewalt 12V impact driver. My only real complaint is I wish they were slightly shorter. Sometimes the length of the adapter plus the length of my impact driver is just a bit long for what I am trying to use it for.

Most of the time it is fine, just occasionally annoying. It comes with a very cheap, flimsy “tray” for storage. All in all they do the job, and have held up after 2 years of use.

The impact socket adapter keeps falling out of the impact driver. I believe the length of the shank is simply too short. If the length of the shank was even longer by 1/4″ I think it would fix it. The socket stays attached to the adapter easy enough if the adapter would stay in the impact driver.

Aside from that it seems to being doing good. However, as I am always over the engine I cannot afford to keep having the impact adapter fall out & as a result I had to return it & buy one with a longer shank.

I typically like Milwaukee tools. However, I think the adapter misses the mark in this case. Hopefully, some attention is put into increasing the shank length. Until then I wouldn’t recommend buying this item.

Use a 7/16 impact at work and this makes life easier switching from an auger bit to a framing socket. The only thing I’d like to see is a friction ring adapter instead of the pin.
