20 Best Hyaluronic Acid For Microneedling (2023 Updated)

As I delved into the ‘over 40’s’ category one thing I really noticed was that my skin was becoming much ‘duller’ and less elastic. It lost it’s youthful/dewy, glow and was in desperate need of a ‘drink’.

I’ve never been one for make-up nor any sort of skincare routine for that matter but the effect of ageing was undeniable. After reading up a lot on how and what to use to get hydration back into my skin I took the plunge and committed to making more of an effort with my health and fitness and also invested in some hydrating skincare products.

I have to say, it has all been worth it. This serum in particular is almoust aqueous jelly-like (similar to aloe vera) and glides on well. I apply it to my slightly damp face after toning and let it settle in (which doesn’t take long) before going over with my moisturiser.

I worried that all these new products on my skin would be too thick and bring me out in spots but it was so not the case. My skin must’ve been so thirsty it drank it up. Now my cheeks are much less papery/leathery, more supple and has that natural healthy glow that I missed.

I’m also pleasantly surprised at all the lovely comments I now seem to receive about my skin since I started using these products. It’s now going to be a staple in my skincare regime.

Glow recipe keeps on impressing me! I’ve gone through so many hydronic serums , from budget friendly ordinary to pricey caudalie , to help my dry skin; yet even after putting the serum I’d still feel that tightness on my face,infact I didn’t even feel any hydrating as I was putting on those products.

But glow recipe – it really works! For one, it has a very viscous consistency (which someone below pointed as a negative point) – for me this works great because it goes on nice and smooth (like a light oil) on the face, rather than drying up even as you are applying it (like other brands).

Second – maybe because if it’s consistency, the face feels so so soft and hydrated after applying, that many times I don’t even apply moisturizer after I put it on. In terms of it being sticky or not after application – tad bit, but not much actually.

For those of you who use watermelon dew drops – those go tend to make your face sticky after – so you do need to top that off with a moisturizer. This one comparably has negligible sticky post application feel.

As for the glow – yep your face looks great after putting it on, definitely had a glow.

I’ve had this bottle for a year now and use it daily and it still hasn’t finished so the price point is definitely fair. I was recommended this product by my esthetician so I picked it up. I use this every morning and the watermelon sleeping mask every night.

I’ve had far better results with the sleeping mask—I’m not sure why but this serum tends to stay on my skin leaving a tacky film and redness with more visibly open pores around my t-zone rather than sinking into my skin.

I tend to go in with my gua sha afterwards to help cool my skin and see if it will sink the serum in but I haven’t noticed a big difference at all. I have rosacea and my skin naturally tends to be oily, with hyperpigmentation and texture being my core concerns but normally with my regular skin routine (especially with the sleeping mask) my skin tends to be dewy, supple, even and smooth.

I don’t see how this serum really benefited my skin but once the bottle finishes, I won’t be repurchasing as I can’t tell a difference but tend to actually go in with a skin tint after a few other steps just to combat the redness.

I think this would be good for other people, but for some reason it didn’t work my skin that well.

This is a must have staple for me now. I saw immediate, as in the first application and within minutes results of hydration and plumping of my facial skin and providing an immediate more youthful look.

I can have sensitive skin and have had no issues with this product. I did not give the product 5 stars, despite such great results, for 3 reasons. First, for a strictly hylaluronic acid serum the price is a bit high.

Second, the bottle is a bit misleading because the product does not go all the way to the bottom of the container as you may think looking at the picture. Third, the pump can be finicky at times especially when you are lower on product.

I want to point out points of improvement, but seriously overall the product itself does not disappoint if you are looking to add more hydration to your face.

This is the first hya I’ve used and I love it! I also love that Dermstore offers the more wallet friendly 1. 0 oz of it as well! I have more sensitive skin so if a formulation isn’t right for me I’ll usually breakout from it.

So if that’s your concern surrounding this product it was A-okay for me. This serum absorbs easily and has drastically evened out my skin. I combine this with the Skinmedica C & E serum and it is a skin brightening powerhouse.

Also, I use it on my lips before I apply lip balm and it softens and plumps my lips deliciously. Because it has worked so well for me there’s really no reason for me to go to another product. You can’t beat five different types of hya in one! I use it everyday!.

So after a trip to the dermatologist we were actually working on paring down the products I was using (removed Good Genes that I was using 1-2x/week because my skin was irritated between mask wearing and winter, only using CE Ferulic every 3 days in the morning for the same reason, and working up to using retinol every night from the 3-4x/week I’d been applying).

She did mention that the one thing she recommended after retinol was hyaluronic acid, which she confirmed I’d been getting from my Cerave PM (another product I love), however I started looking into hyaluronic acid a bit more since my skin was still feeling fairly dry, and couldn’t resist trying this one out after it finally went on sale.

I’ve only been using for a few days at night after retinol, and used this morning after CE ferulic. I have to say I think this one’s going to be a repeat purchase. It goes on deliciously, and this morning when I woke up I swear I could barely see the fine lines on my forehead.

I still use my Cerave PM to get my niacinimide and ceramides after applying this and that hasn’t caused any issues. It smells. gently medical but not offensive. Too much packaging in my opinion. As a side note, I also read that you should dampen your fingers before applying to help trap in the moisture/water, but that one’s a big shrug from me since I’ve only been using it a few days.

Have tried both ways, not sure if it makes a difference.

Propolis is one of the most hyped ingredients in K beauty right now. Because of this, and the fact that I’ve been loving Cosrx products recently – I knew this was one I had to try The Cosrx propolis light cream is infused with over 65% black bee propolis complex.

Propolis is a compound made by bees that is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and skin healing properties I’ve been using the cream for a while now. I use it mainly at night as my night moisturiser (but you could easily use it during the day especially if you have drier to normal skin).

It has a richer yet still lightweight texture. The reason I like to use it at night is because it feels more rich (like a typical night moisturiser) than the gel moisturisers I reach for during the day.

That being said, it is quickly absorbing and doesn’t leave any greasy residue on me. It feels extremely nourishing and hydrating and leaves my skin feeling plump, supple and nourished. The cream also has a subtle pleasant scent (it doesn’t smell perfumed and it might just be the natural smell of the ingredients but I’m not 100% sure) Overall I’m being a harsh critic and giving it 4ï¸ âƒ£/5ï¸ âƒ£.

This is only because I have fairly clear skin so I can’t 100% comment on its anti-inflammatory and skin healing claims. Otherwise I do really love this moisturiser and it’s a favourite in my night-time routine.

I bought this moisturizer about 6 months ago when the winter was getting more cold and harsh where I live and I knew I would need a thicker moisturizing cream. My skin is more normal ( I used to have very oily skin when I was younger) and can dehydrate easily, but I am weary about very heavy products sitting on my face as I can also breakout more easily too.

At first I only used this at night after double cleansing and my HA serum – just wow. I woke up every morning with super smooth, baby-like soft skin and I swear I was also glowing. I started using this in the spring now during the day before my spf and it keeps my skin moisturized without making me oily or shiny, and it sits well under spf and makeup.

I think it’s an amazing base moisturizer for everyday whether or not you wear makeup. Something about this product just makes your skin brighten. Love it and will continue to purchase!.

Initially I could not figure how to crush the ampoule and squeeze the serum out. Once I figured it, I realised it was actually very easy to use. Hold it upright with the sleeve on top. Use your thumb and forefinger and gently crush it.

Then, remove the sleeve and place it below so that the cotton swab is exposed. Squeeze the ampoule to allow the serum to flow through the swab. Then apply on face and neck. I have used one ampoule. Once I complete using the entire box, I shall update here on the effect of the product.

I originally tried this formula at the recommendation of my Dermatologist while acclimating to Tretinoin (for anti-aging and overall skin health) a couple of years ago. This product and the H. A. Intensifier did nothing for my skin; the latter caused significant irritation.

That said, adjusting to Tretinoin (Retin-A) is an infamous battle regardless. Fast forward 2 years and decided to repurchase Hydrating B5 Gel and wow…I can finally appreciated what all the hype is about with this formula! It’s beautiful and my skin is incredibly hydrated, tighter pores, even tone, and a bit of a glow.

I’ve also been using the Serum 10 AOX+, so the glow could be from that, but overall, I am incredibly satisfied and will continue to repurchase. FYI: I have a normal skin type that can lean dry in the NY Winters.

My skin can be reactive/sensitive although that has improved significantly after 2 years of Tretinoin.

This bottle is very simple but it is very convenient with its pipette. The pipette gives the exact amount of drops to apply on the face. The 30ml format can easily fit in the suitcase. The texture is liquid, fluid and very light.

The application is very pleasant because the serum is fresh, which is great on hot days. It stretches easily and penetrates quickly without leaving a greasy film on my skin. I do not know how to define what I smell for.

Okay, totally honest. I applied this daily as part of my routine and didn’t notice it working, but didn’t stop because it was so gentle, smelled decent, never caused breakouts, and was refreshing. Then a few months later, I stopped using it and suddenly my wrinkles became DEEP and noticeable.

I was in shock. This serum had been working overtime and I never even realized. Granted, hyaluronic acid doesn’t improve your skin long term, it’s a very temporary fix for as long as you’re applying the product.

I just can’t seem to figure out the best way to apply the serum due to how fast it seeps in! (Which should be a good thing). I think I just need to master the application, or dampen my face more. The price is steep, but I do like it more than the snail like texture of The Ordinary HA that seems to sit on my face all day.

Do I feel like $60 is a bit pricey for this? Yes. Will I buy it again, more than likely, because at the end of the day it does work how it should, and it’s hard to find a product like this anywhere else.

I received a free sample of the L’Oreal Revitalift Derm Intensives 1. 5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum from SoPost and tested it out this past week. This is a fragrance free hyaluronic acid serum that claims to intensely hydrate and visibly plump your skin while also reducing wrinkles.

I applied a few drops to my face immediately after cleansing, and I noticed my skin became instantly hydrated and smooth. This particular formulation of hyaluronic acid combines low-molecular and high-molecular weight for intense hydration.

There was a slight tingle, but nothing too uncomfortable. The serum absorbed quickly and only left a slightly tacky feeling. I have combination skin so to be honest, I don’t focus on hydration as much as I should.

I’m definitely guilty of over-exfoliating and focusing too much on retinoids and actives and whatnot. But this serum was a nice change of pace for me, my skin clearly needed some moisturizing instead of constant harsh acids being lathered on it.

I was very hesitant to try this product because of the mixed reviews. Gel moisturizers, especially ones with hyaluronic acid, tend to act more like hydrators rather than moisturizers so it’s important for the skin to be slightly damp when applying.

I use this immediately after washing my face or taking a shower and I haven’t had any problems with dryness throughout the day. I have extremely dry skin that produces a lot of oiliness and this has helped to bring that down a little bit.

This is by far the best moisturize I have ever used. Over the last ten years I have tried an absurd amount of moisturizers looking for my HG and this is it. I use this both in the morning and evening after washing my face, and I have been using it for over a year. I use it both in the winter and summer months and I do not feel like it’s too heavy to use in the summer I have not had any dry patches of skin since using this and I feel like my skin is always nicely moisturized Prior to trying this, I had gotten a Dior moisturizer that retails for $110 and this has worked so much better for me than the Dior one, and it is a fraction of the price!.

So, I have been struggling with dry skin due to hormonal changes and have tried absolutley everything. from facial oils(super high end ones at that) to all kinds of high end creams and hylauronic serums, but nothing has moisturized my skin like this! It is amazing! I also have to use some pretty harsh treatments for acne and discoloration that really dry your face, but this helps soooooo much.

I think the hero ingredient in this is the Urea which brings down inflammation and irritation and does not allow buildup of skin cells. I am so glad I found this.

Received a free full size of this Ultra Hydrating Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Green Tea. But as of today 8/12/22 I see the image of the box on this website now says has “squalane” which is actually derived from squalene, which is from a shark’s liver.

If DermaE changed the formula and now added shark/squalane since my free sample from May 2022, what self-destruction of a great product, then I will NEVER use it again. But my free product from May 2022 had no squalane.

REVIEW: I have a 1″ x 1″ patch of wrinkly/crepey skin in the dead center of my neck. Out of every product I’ve tried over the years (at least 30+ products) this is the ONLY ONE that diminished the wrinkles at all, and by about 90%.

Love it. Will always use it. Again, hope they did not self-destruct the product and add the shark liver/squalane.

I buy this for my dad and have also referred it to a friend as well as a student. My dad has tried just about everything. About 45 years ago he was provided something by the doctor that cleared his exzema/psoriasis up completely and got rid of the container.

It came back a couple years later and this is the most effective thing he has found to help. in over 40 years!!! His rash went almost completely away on his wrists and ankles (just slightly pink now), and is working on his chest, back, legs, arms, etc.

My student, her Eczema/Psoriasis started as some spots a coiple inches across, but they are so close to gone! My friend, hers was about the same as my students and she has had the rash totally disappeared in some areas and has greatly minimized in others.

I have just purchased the 30ml Peptides having just used the very small size (8ml) to see if I like it. I have used the CLarity peptides previously but not these. Having read so many good reviews I decided to give these a go.

At first I used too much in one go, and it felt ‘sticky/tacky’ on the skin, however this did not last long as it is quickly absorbed. It then leaves the skin feeling very soft indeed, hydrated and nourished.

I have been using this both am and pm as my skin is ‘dehydrated’ and needs the boost. I will be very interested to see what benefits I have over long term use, and using the larger bottle will give me a few months supply hopefully.

P. s. I am now using only a couple of small drops and this means no tackiness (must have just used too much at first) so this means a very small amount goes a long way. Lets just hope I see results, like I do with other Medik8 products.

I have very frustrating skin. It’s hard to know what products will break me out or make my skin flare up, but this has been a revelation! Greatly improved the tone and texture of my skin without causing breakouts.

Husband commented on how young I was looking – huge bonus! The most surprising thing is that it had dealt with my flare ups too. I have rosacea and cystic avenue both of which developed over the past 6 years.

Not much has worked – the best I have done is “manage” the condition of my skin and prevented it getting worse. This serum actually seems to be healing these up gradually. The size has been a great way for me to test an expensive product for a decent length of time without having to invest in the full size.

The only problem is, I know I can’t let this serum out of my routine now!.

I wanted to love this product as I love the brand Medik8 and their ethos as a whole. Love so many of their products that I’ve tried and heard people rave about this one but I just find it a bit ‘meh’.

Just goes to show that different products work differently for different people! It’s a nice clear serum that smooths into the skin nicely and layers well with other products, but I didn’t notice any marked difference in my skin and haven’t missed it since the bottle has finished.

There isn’t any scent and so there is no sensorial experience to it, (which I do like). Completely appreciate this is not everyone’s experience and I will continue to love and keep trying more of Medik8’s products.

I love this product. I apply to wet skin by putting a Medik8 toner into a spray bottle and spritz face before applying 4 drops. What I love about this product is it’s light consistency and sinks straight into skin without leaving any residue.

Just clean, hydrated and glowy skin. I can then layer my other Medik8 items I use without my skin feeling congested with products. I have hormonal acne so always conscious not to add any products which could cause my skin to become more oily.

But at 39 I need that little extra moisture in my skin routine as well, this is what this product gives. It’s the product you don’t realise your skin needs until you use!.

I love this product! I have been using the hydrating active roller and really enjoy it. It’s not painful and isn’t near as aggressive as my BeautyBio one so I can use it more often. I also like that the micro needles are made of active ingredients.

My skin felt smooth, hydrated and the products I applied after absorbed better. My skin didn’t feel sensitive the next day at all. I’m impressed! Next I want to try the other two.

This was gifted by FaceGym. I was a bit nervous trying the micro rollers, but I can say I will continue to use this in my beauty routine. I noticed brighter skin, and it helped my hyperpigmentation spot! It is a little prickly but it’s nice because we can control the pressure we apply.

My face was a bit red for an hour or two after the treatment, but the following week my skin was wonderful! I love that the handle is reusable and I’ll have to gift my sister one of these so she can have this glow too!.
