This jacket was true to size but it was too small for me, if I had on extra clothing The reason I returned the jacket was i received the jacket and it was raining hard outside so it decided to test the waterproofing of the coat.

I was outside in the rain for 15 to 20 minutes testing it. When I came inside the house, I thought it passed the test. Until I checked the inside of the coat and saw that it was soaked on the inside, especially the hood.

It was wet through the insulated liner on the inside. ! Imagine what it would be like if I sitting in a tree stand for 4 hours in this coat! Waterproof, it is NOT, I was not happy about this coat, since it was an insulated waterproof coat!.

I had purchased an xl jacket,, after it arrived i realized that I would need a 2xl. I filled out the forms stating that I wanted a bigger size and paid $11 to return it. Then got an email saying I was reimbursed for the jacket instead of just sending me a size larger.

So I had to reorder the jacket So I paid $7. 99 for the first shipping, then $11. To return it, then another $7. 99 to reorder. I love the jacket but i will not be shopping from there again. I am very disappointed.

What can you do to make things right?.

Exactly as described. Nephew wanted a jacket without elastic waist band and lots of pocket space for hunting. Bought as a Christmas gift, 6 days later hes happy with it. When i opened the package it seemed to be well made.

Overall Im very happy so far with this camo jacket.

I am 185lbs 5’9” I ordered medium coat and it fits perfect still plenty of room for under layers. The best warmest hunting coat I’ve ever had highly recommend. And it is 100% wind and waterproof. Awesome product and have wore the coat and bibs in 20 degree weather and stayed toasty for hours with little base layering.

I needed a new mid-weight jacket. This has a comfortable fit. Could use a few more pockets on the inner lining. It is truly a mid-weight garment as I wore it in 40 degree weather bow hunting. After and hour of standing I began to get cold.

I added another underlayer top, under the jacket on the next hunt which proved to be a good move to stay warm.

I love this jacket! Wore it duck hunting for the first time – it is not waterproof, but IS water resistant, which was enough in the drizzle. Fits comfortably tucked inside waders and it is WARM. The fleece they use is not your regular fleece.

It seems thicker and fluffier which makes it much warmer. I wore it second in the snow hunting hogs and deer. The pockets are large (large enough to fit large hands and a backup pair of gloves without feeling packed) and lined with the same type of miracle fleece and are very warm.

I wear glasses, so I always have a microfiber towel on me to clean my glasses. The zippered chest pocket was perfect for this. Windproof and water resistant. warm and comfortable. sized right with long enough sleeves.

GREAT jacket – I HIGHLY recommend!.

I love the lining of this jacket, primarily the reason I bought it too. It is hard to find a longer jacket to fit people over 6 feet and this one does that well. Fabric is soft and I can’t wait to use it in the field with my other gear.

I think this particular jacket will be a good stand alone for cooler days but for colder days make an excellent mid layer. The only complaint I had about the jacket was the zipper was hard to pull up and down, but after threading the pull cable through the zipper pull in a different manner I was able to resolve that issue.

That and not having used it in the field yet is why I give it 4 stars.

I purchased the jacket knowing about Nomad equipment, I got it on sale that made the purchase even better. My nephew told me about the Nomad clothes, he was right on it. Very comfortable and warm. Not bulky at all, extremely happy with my purchase, I would recommend this clothing line to all hunters.

I wouldn’t call this a parka because the hood is awful. Five stars on insulation, spent all day in 25 degree weather with no problem but the hood only rates one star, wimpy, no insulation and hangs up on every piece of Velcro it touches.

Three stars on water resistance EXCEPT the cuffs of the sleeves. After a few hours the second day in sleet and snow flurries the water drained down the sleeves and soaked the elastic wrist band completely through and seeped into my inner layer and the cuffs of my gloves.

Had to leave the hunt after only a few hours. The fit is great, many useful pockets but could use 2 more for hand warming up higher than the existing two lower pockets at the bottom edge of the jacket.

You have to totally extend your arms to reach them. And lastly the face flap that fits behind the zipper to keep it from contacting your face is too small and should extend further. Also, the hood flaps that Velcro together across the face are too short and the hood is then too tight to turn your head without binding, especially annoying when wearing glasses.

It is great parka in ALMOST every way. The camo pattern is great. It is very warm and not too heavy. Supposedly waterproof but haven’t tested that yet. It has plenty of pockets many zippered and the rear zippered cargo pocket is fabulous.

The one complaint is although it is not loud it is also not the quietest garment I own. It is not silent. Just makes a slight whisper when you move. Maybe that’s why it’s named the whisper parka.

Been using my new jacket so far for the PA rifle season. Very happy with my purchase and the price I got it for. It’s been roughly 25°-35° And my core has stayed warm sitting up to 4-5hrs at a time in 10-20mph winds.

The material is quiet and everything is well made, pockets are in logical locations and easy to access. The extra length is what sold me on this jacket. My only complaints are an extra rifle shell holder would have been nice and the zipper can be a little finicky at times.

I love a lot of my gear from Kuiu (I have the base camp sweater and super down as well), but I wish they’d design their womens wear with an active female build in mind (broad shoulders? Raising arms above your waist? I’d love to see some design modifications).

Granted, not deal breakers, but I’d love to see some improvements. This jacket fits amazing through the body, super flattering, and incredibly warm, but is tighter than I’d like in the shoulders, which makes layering difficult for me.

I can wear a light base layer, but anything else adds too much bulk in my arms. I use this primarily for skiing, hunting, and working around a small ranch, and my only complaint is that it’s a bit more restrictive than I’d like in the arms/shoulder region when I’m lifting things or throwing hay.

I wish it had gusseting in the underarms to allow for some more freedom of movement. Otherwise, it’s a great jacket. The length is perfect, the pockets are a dream, and it’s oh so warm – warm enough I don’t have to steal my husband’s jacket anymore!.

Bought this for my wife for Mothers Day. The fit is true to size. She is 6-2 tall with athletic build and it fits great. It could be a little longer for her but it’s not so short that it’s an issue. I got her the XL.

This truly is the best all around jacket KUIU offers in my opinion as it is very warm, wind proof, practically waterproof, and very durable. I have the mens version in blue and it is my favorite KUIU jacket (I own several different jackets).

This is now her go to jacket for anything outdoors as well as everyday wear. Great job as usual KUIU!!! My one and only gripe with this jacket is I wish the inner chest pocket was on the outside of the jacket for easier access.

It is also very low on the inside of the jacket which is weird and not close to chest level. But not close to being a deal breaker just personal preference.

It’s a nice looking Jacket, seems well put together. Should have a higher left or right inner or outer chest pocket. The inside pocket is so small, my phone or wallet barely fit. Pocket locations are different!! It is not very warm in comparison to my OR down jacket.

I know it is not down, but still not very warm compared to even a sweatshirt. You will need a couple solid layers underneath unless you are constantly on the move. The ends of the sleeves could use some adjustment to get them snug over my wrists.

Lots of warmth escaping there. I do like the hood and fit in general. After wearing during various activities, it will primarily be worn for surf fishing on colder windy days under my FT breathable waders.

It is a little tight in the chest if i lift my arms over my head, but the rest of the fit is great.

I purchased 3 pair of these pants that came in 2 different orders. the first pair that came were gigantic in the legs and crotch but fit around the waist. took them back. When the other 2 pairs showed up the tag said hunter series 2.

0, and they fit perfect. if you get the 2. 0 version these are great early season pants. never seen a human that the cut of the first series of these would work for.

I thought King’s Camo was supposed to be a good brand. I was very disappointed with these pants. If I had paid full price, I would have been MAD. On the positive side, they seem like they will dry easily and burrs are not going to be an issue.

On the negative side, they are LOUD! SWISH, SWISH. At least they don’t crinkle like some synthetic fabrics.

The quality of these pants are just horrible! First is the thin, flimsy material. I go deep into the woods and these would be ruined by the first briar that grabbed me. Second, does the manufacturer believe that larger women have no waist? I may be a size 18 but I have a waist.

These pants go straight up from the hips, therefore if your waist is smaller than your hips, these pants will not stay up. Not even a belt will help. They are also far too big in the thighs and the crotch was halfway to my knees.

Finally, let’s discuss the pockets. The upper pockets are far too small. I could not even get my hand inside, let alone my phone. The back is even worse. As for the cargo pockets, I would seriously be afraid to put anything into them.

They are not sewn to the pants well and are made from the same flimsy material. Overall I would have to say these pants are a flop. They are definitely not worth the price.

I recently purchased this jacket; I am 5’2″ 125lbs. After reading other reviews I ordered a large rather than a medium and I was glad I did. This jacket tapers from top to bottom and the worst thing I can say is that I found it binds me under my arms a little bit, more than I thought a large size would.

I’m not looking to make a fashion statement while hunting so would have preferred a looser fit. This jacket is very impressive especially given that it is advertised as targeting early to mid season hunting.

I am an avid deer hunter and wanted something to keep me warm and comfortable while sitting in a stand all day. I think I’ve found a winner! The outer fabric is very dense and seems very durable, I’m not too concerned about brushing up against something and ripping the fabric.

The down is also dense and very well contained. The zippers are quiet and there are lots of pockets, both inside and outside. Deer season is over for 2021 but I’ve worn this jacket (with the matching pants) outside during single digit temps with well below zero wind chills (Maine) in January.

I’ll admit I was moving around but I was warm as could be, couldn’t even feel the wind except where my mittens met the sleeves. Also love the fact that these items are American made. I’ll definitely be watching this website for new offerings as I’m diehard fan now!.

I recently grabbed the Deep Cover pattern and this jacket is my new go to. It’s light, warm AF, has great zippers and pocket layouts and wears amazing with and without cold-weather layers. I bought a large so I had layering options (I’m 175 / 6′) as temps here flux from 15F to 50F in a day.

This piece wears well through the entire temp band. One thing in particular is the lack of overheating I’ve experienced with other Down products. I can keep this zipped up high in the wind and woods and not have to deal with the zip-up and zip-down after a long trek or climb in changing temps.

It’s worth noting I also have their base layer (love those too) – and paired that with the pants for a complete kit.

The Stratus jacket and pant are solid. Excellent wind protection. Doesn’t get too cold where I hunt so I’ve only been down to the 40’s and with a couple layers they were warm. If you plan on walking through cockleburs or similar expect to get a lot of hitchhikers.

The material these are made from allow a lot of prickly things to stick to it. I am 5’10” and 160lbs and normally wear a 31 or 32″ pant in jeans and ordered a medium. They are just on the edge of being too tight but I think a large would’ve been too big.

I initially ordered a large jacket and it fit but had a lot of excess room in the waist and chest so I ordered a medium and it fits perfect. If you want a loose fit, I would order a large. My only complaint with all Sitka jackets is that they don’t come down far enough in the front below the waist.

Not a deal breaker but I’d like an extra inch in the front.

Lightweight, quiet, comfortable and warm. Can be used as an outer layer or stand-alone jacket. I’ve harvested bucks, ducks and caught salmon, trout and bass while wearing Drake hunting apparel. There’s nothing quite like the Drake brand with the magnetic and zippered pockets designed specifically for the game you are after!.

The jacket is not bulky and keeps you warm no matter what the weather. Works very well as an outer layer, and the magnattach pockets allow for silent access to phones, releases, calls, or smaller rangefinders.

Add in the performance hoodie or the merino half-zip to extend your season further.

Very warm, does not restrict movement, extremely comfortable and I really appreciate the sizing. Note that you will want something over this if there is much of a breeze blowing as the outer shell is not wind resistant.

Product is as described and met my expectations. The material is very nice. This is more mild weather. If youre hunting in colder weather, below 40 degrees, layer up or choose a heavier jacket than this.

But this is also advertised as a milder weather jacket and is everything I expected. Great jacket.

Had to have it. Cold weather hunting isn’t easy when your cold. This will do, hasn’t seen rain and there is a little noise when moving but a solid jacket. Canvas like hide, it’s durable. Good for sky line camo or on the ground with a lighter grass or shrub ground cover with or with out some snow.

The collar is a little tight when fully zipped. So I keep it low. Warm, wind proof. Heavy hide. Perfect for Minnesota winter hunting.

Great coat, fleece is very warm!! Kept warm on single digit cold, windy days!!! Runs small, size up to wear a sweatshirt or layers underneath. I’m 5’9’ 185 brought an XL, fit too tight. Returned and got the XXL, much better comfort fit with a sweatshirt underneath.

I got the ambient jacket in subalpine for early spring 2023 turkey hunts. I have a coyote problem so in early October I sat on a stool that backed up to an overgrown bank overlooking a heavily used trail.

It was 34 degrees and wore the ascent pants, lightweight crew, heavy weight hoody and the jacket. I was very comfortable. Did not see any coyotes but a bobcat walked past me at 10 feet, stopped, looked at me and then walked on up the trail.

Unbelievable. The ambient jacket is quiet, warm and very comfortable. I am 5’10”, weigh 165 and the large fits me great and allows for layering. Very nice product.

The Ambient is the jacket I was waiting for from SITKA. This is the perfect active insulation layer that can stay on during all kinds of hunting scenarios from hiking in, to buffering a bit of wind / cold, to layering under something bigger.

It breathes really well so I find I don’t have to take it on and off constantly which is awesome when you’re loaded down with a bino bivy and pack. Simply put, it’s a no-fuss performer. Sweat dries quickly, and the women’s fit is great with tons of mobility and stretch.

Its light, and super packable. The solid color has become a go-to comfort layer for me too for at home and travel. Love this jacket.

The Ambient allowed me to comfortably set the stage for each hunt without forcing me to slow down to prevent sweating out. When the work was done, I didn’t need to immediately layer up to stay warm. It’s surprisingly thin and light given the warmth it provides, which makes it the perfect layering piece as the hunt goes on.

Men wouldn’t put up with this, and neither should we. It’s not a terrible hunting jacket, but its also not well thought out. After a few weeks of wearing it I have some thoughts to share. The fabrics used on the outside and lining of the jacket are quiet but whatever is on the inside is LOUD.

I am in my stand now and can hear my every breath make it creak. There is no way I could get off a shot at less than 50 yards without them hearing me move at least a little. Also the way the hood attaches along the zipper is terrible, it makes your collar bulky and awkward, I wish it was removable.

Lastly it is really not all that warm, if it’s going to be in the 30s or below you would need to do some serious layering. Things they did right: yes it does fit nice. I am not swimming in a men’s giant jacket.

The ends of the sleeves have a nice elastic storm cuff that seals in your warmth. I will keep it because I don’t have a choice, but I would never buy it again. Seriously if it was a men’s jacket it would have been toast by now.

The good: not so much bulk for the warmth. Quiet fleece outer layer through brush and branches. Extra room in the knees when bending and climbing Strata camo blends well in late fall hunts. As a tree hunter, it’s very flexible.

The bad: very loud like wearing a leather outfit. Washed it once with unscented fabric softener and the noise was gone. The hood is permanent, not a deal breaker but would be better if could remove. Can use another front chest pocket.

Otherwise warm Enough for late season with a single heavy base layer. I wore light base layer and just the coat/ pant and I was good for hours in near freezing windy northern climate. I would buy again, much better fit and flexibility for women compared to the men’s choices.

I really do have to applaud Cabela’s for continuing to come out with new hunting apparel for women that’s affordable and extending our options!!! Thank You! But this and so many other things that I’ve bought just fall short.

This jacket is one of them. I really needed a new midweight jacket for the upcoming archery season. I normally wear a small and that’s what I purchased. It fits well in the body, but the arms are so tight.

I’m 5’11” and the sleeves were much too short. I felt like I was the Hulk ready to pop out of the jacket when I pulled back to mimic a full draw. I love the thought of making clothing more feminine. But also keep in mind that it needs to be practical for hunting! I would be just as happy with an elastic cuff and fuller sleeves.

This jacket is a no go.

I’m disappointed in the changes to this jacket over the years. I’m writing this review to try and impact the direction that future Jetstream iterations take. As a hunting guide, I’ve owned Jetstreams going back to 2013.

Back then, the Jetstream was a sturdy piece of technical outerwear. I’ve really beaten on my 2013 & 2014 Jetstreams, in hard weather and hunting conditions, and they’ve taken it all without failure. I purchased a 2022 Jetstream – I hate to say that the recycled outer poly fabric is more like a simple hard fleece sweatshirt (think UnderArmour, Nike, etc).

There’s just no way I can see this version standing up to hard use. It’s still marketed and cut like outerwear; it feels like the material would be better suited to a mid- layering piece. The cuffs are honestly at least 1-2″ too big and there’s no way to tighten them.

I can’t keep the cuff on my wrist (you could save on gloves by wearing it over your hands). To me, this feels like a jacket design that saves on production & materials to aid Sitka’s race to being ubiquitous.

In the early days they were the best gear – now they seem like they’re aiming to be the ‘available everywhere’ gear. I understand the market strategy – there’s just no way the 2022 Jetstream is worth the high asking price.

Please bring back a burly version of this jacket; bring back a more durable outer material. Hunters and guides will be waiting for the Jetstream to return.

The Sitka Jetstream Jacket is a good piece of gear. It has proven to be durable when moving through brush, cuts down the wind, and water repellant enough for mist/dew/slight rain (I have not tested it in more than a slight rain).

I use the Jetstream Jacket in conjunction with the Apex Hoody and other layers for about 45 to 60 degrees. The underarm vents really help with temperature regulation during warmer hunts, or when walking to a stand.

The jacket is quiet when moving, and the collar does not get in the way of my thumb release when it is zipped up. The liner in the pockets keep my hands warm enough to just wear light gloves while on stand.

I ordered a size larger than my other Sitka tops to account for layering, and it fits snug enough to be comfortable when stand alone, and is able to be worn with a light weight top, waffle top, and Apex Hoody without impeding my draw.

This is truly one of the best jackets ever made. Pockets are perfect size in the perfect location. The arm vents are easy to operate to dump heat when you need to. Repels light to medium rain just fine.

Cut the wind wonderfully. The material is quiet and has a great feel both inside and out. I have many different jackets but nothing has compared to the Jetstream. I’m 6’0” 195 lbs with broad shoulders and long arms.

The XL is perfect. I live in Arizona but hunt out of state and haven’t had a problem layering with the XL in 20 degrees. This will be the best jacket you will ever own. I guarantee it.

I used this jacket quite a bit last upland season and look forward to using it more this year. I’ve taken it through some super nasty brush and the material is pretty tough, it doesn’t show any signs of wear at all.

It has just the right amount of stretch so it doesn’t restrict movement and doesn’t add a ton of bulk so shouldering my shotgun feels totally natural. While the material doesn’t breath all that well, the massive pit zips really help to dump heat and prevent me from needing to shed a layer and take off my hunting vest to do so.

Those pit zips really add to the versatility of the jacket. I used it during some sub 20 degree, blowing snow weather and it’s just the right amount of weather protection for active hunting. It wouldn’t keep me warm in those conditions while sitting but while out busting brush on my favorite hillside I’ve never had a better jacket.

The sleeve design around the wrists is a little different on this jacket than other jackets I’ve used but I found it works really well for unrestricted movement when shouldering a gun as the cuffs don’t bind.

It also makes it nice for use with gloves. I have long arms and this sleeve design still works for me, even in a size Medium (I’m 6’1″ 180 lbs. ). If you have short arms it might cause an issue but for most people I think you’ll really like the design.

I was nervous about it but have found I really like how they function.

Been waiting a while for this gem of a pant to come around. I felt like the regular De Havilland pant was far too heavy for most of my archery season outings so I jumped at the opportunity for the lite version.

It’s not too light to feel wimpy, but heavy enough to go through brush and scrub oak without a worry. Love the knee pad sleeve option (didn’t know it had it, but put in my Sitka knee pads with ease), mesh pockets and deep cargo pockets. My ONLY reason for a 4 star instead of 5 is the 1970’s bell bottom lower leg.

IMHO, it’s bad enough to need a redesign. Had my wife trim down the lower leg to fit more like a straight leg/slightly tapered pant and now I’m more stoked to wear them without the ‘swish-swish’ noise of the lower leg while in the mountains.

Oh, and the tall is legit TALL!.

Use this jacket EVERY time I went grouse hunting and pheasant hunting this past fall. I absolutely love it. I have long arms, and this coat actually covers the backs of my hands, to keep brush from ripping them up.

It is perfect on its own on warm days and great for layering on cold days. The zippered pockets are in all the right places and it fits well. No more gun getting hooked on my coat when trying to take a quick shot in the woods.

And after an entire season afield, it is in perfect shape. No rips, tears, or holes. Totally worth the money.

I bought this for my daughter the color is perfect. It’s thin, every hunting coat I look at is thicker than this.not sure why anybody would make a girl’s coat And not insulated as well as a man’s.

Sheds water really well. I’m a fair weather hunter so this coat is perfect for me. Plus it’s the only one I could find in a Camo pattern. The others were solid pink. Which has been proven to be more effective.

DSG makes a very nice warmer coat. This doesn’t have a double zipper and it is plastic. I really like it.

Perfect fit. I’ve been looking for this jacket for a while. I’m so happy that I finally find.

I am using this for warm weather training with my search and rescue dogs. I was hoping for pants that had a ‘classic waist’, but this waist is lower than I would have liked, for me. But because it doesn’t have an elastic waist, the pants still stay up even with a search pack on, so it works.

Not sure how well the front facing will actually work in thorny conditions, but the pants are cool. The fit is great; flattering and professional looking, which was my hope. I am happy I invested in these.

Bird hunting season can be very hot. These pants are the perfect weight. They aren’t stiff. Actually they feel somewhat soft but somehow protect against briars and stiff plants. The fit is attractive and feminine.

You don’t look like you are wearing your husbands cast off hunting pants. I am 5’6” and weigh 120 lbs. the size 8 fit perfectly.

Great pant – love the material – I live in Northern CA so it doesn’t get too cold so I was excited for the lighter weight pant. I got a size 10, even though I am usually an 8 I didn’t want them to bee too tight – well they wouldn’t even button.

Been needing a warmer weather jacket for early fall bear hunts. Was happy to see this came in just in time. Lightweight, comfortable, light stretch, great concealment, and a perfect solution to my warmer weather hunting needs.

Its a tad long/large but can’t seem to find women’s camo that actually holds up. Wanted to go large enough to fit over my hips. Heading to Alaska this coming spring and will need the rain gear. This does the trick!.

I just received my Kings Realtree Camo , XKG Windstorm rain jacket. The best feature (In my opinion anyway) is the attached, visored, adjustable hood which provides forward, upper and side-view visibility unlike many other rain jacket hoods that tend to just plop down on my head and cover the bridge of my nose.

The fact that the hood is attached is another benefit because it keeps water from seeping down your neck and getting the clothes on your back all wet. This is indeed a packable, light weight, stretchable, un-insulated fabric that depends upon layering for warmth.

This jacket fits true to size but if you are planning on using this in colder weather where heavier layering will be used (Like in a cold, windy, rainy duck blind where your swing cannot be impeded), you might think about ordering a size larger than usual.

The extended back of the jacket is definitely noticeable and not simply a sales gimmick. The only feature I would suggest are strapped, Velcro cuffs to prevent water from wicking up the forearms from the wrists.

Kings camo has definitely thought out the design of this jacket and I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is hands down the best jacket I’ve ever owned. It’s really lightweight, warm enough for most of the hunting season, and very waterproof. I went and tried them on at the outlet store and ended up buying an XL (i’m 5-11 and only 155 lbs).

The large felt like a little too tight around the shoulders and it was WAY too short. shorter than my t shirts. The XL is a little fuller, like I can put a small pillow in there, but I just tightened the bottom drawstring and it holds it together a little better.

I think if they made a L-XL in between size or even tapered/athletic fit XL, that would be perfect. With the XL, it makes it easier to layer, which is what the xkg system is all about, so it’s all good.

I took this on a trip to Alaska, and wore it in a hike in the rain. EVERYTHING got completely soaked, except for my upper body that was under this jacket. the neoprene cuffs were a little wet but they dried out fast once the weather cleared.

The hood works great, but hangs down a little over the eyes, likely caused by being an XL. If it’s really windy, I would recommend wearing another layer underneath, as strong wind can cut through this, but it is very unlikely that rain will find its way in.

I wear it everywhere, and have never gotten wet underneath. zippers are good, but do take attention to make sure they don’t get stuck on the neoprene cover. they are quiet to unzip in the field.
