I have been wanting a Nemo spoon bag for a long time now and was really excited but I just took the 35F one on my trip and was shivering all night every night when temps were around 37F even with my thermarest and adequate layers.
I don’t know if it was because the west coast is just very humid or if it was something else, but nonetheless I had a pretty miserable experience just because I was so cold every night. The bag is super soft though and offers lots of room for whatever sleeping position you want to be in which I enjoyed.
It also zips super smoothly and never snagged. The oversized hood I really liked when I was awake and just hanging out in my bag but was a little difficult to get my face to stick out of the bag to sleep which I really value so I’m not breathing in my bag and making it condensationy.
Overall, I think the bag was made really well and I feel like it will hold up for a lot of trips and I like the colours on this bag but it just didn’t keep me warm in the temps it said it was supposed to.
I would definitely use this bag again but in much warmer weather. Additionally, I think it would be super cool for Nemo to offer the option for zipper side placement so people could choose which one they are most comfortable with, but also so that same-sex partners can zip their bags together too and have a bag that fits their body shape.
I’m planning on kayaking from Ketchikan to Skagway AK to celebrate my 75th birthday. I needed a sleeping bag that is lightweight and compact to fit in the hull of my boat. Also, I’m wide through the chest and shoulders and this bag fits the bill perfectly.
It’s roomy, light and compacts down into a 5 Lt dry bag. The construction is excellent and the zipper works flawlessly without snagging. Also, the watch pocket next to my ear is an added bonus. Having done countless backpacking and winter skiing trips over the course of 65 years, I don’t have to worry about my watch or cell phone running down (due to the cold nights) or hearing the alarm.
Hearing the alarm will be crucial, because I’ll have to catch the tides and currents at some very early hours. I’m a side-sleeper and the bag’s construction allows for that also.
This bag is comfortable, light-ish, and rooooomy. I can comfortably sleep on my back/side/stomach. I also am a woman and bought this bag because I have pretty broad shoulders and it works great and isn’t too tight in the hips as feared.
The little blanket flap on the top, while at first seemed pretty strange, has actually been my favorite part of the bag. Makes it super snuggly. Also warm. Took on trips down to -5°c and stayed warm.
We’ll see how it does in the warmer months, but overall happy with the purchase.

I have used this bag for several years now. I used it on a Spring Black Bear hunt two weeks ago and got the shivers in the middle of the night. There are two major problems with this back in temperatures under 20 degrees.
1. The baffle is not effective or rather is non existent. This means cold air gets in and down the top. I have to use a hoodie or a coat or a blanket to try and block this off. Annoying. 2. The zipper does not completely close of the bottom.
It looks like it does but is does not. You do not notice until camping in pretty good cold but this makes for really cold feet as air actually gets in the bottom. The remedy is to stick something coat, clothes, etcetera at the bottom of the bag while sleeping.
I wish it was made with a good thick baffle. As it is, I know I will wake up cold at some point in the night. I love the room though. This is the second one I have owned. The first purchased about 10 years ago had a bad zipper but seemed better constructed besides that.
WiFi Thermometer Hygrometer, Smart Humidity Temperature Sensor with App Notification Alert, 2 Years Free Data Storage Export, Wireless Remote for Two Ways to Connect: Easily monitor temp and humidity data in real time from anywhere.
With stable WiFi and Bluetooth connection via the Govee Home app, you’ll have more opportunities to react to changes in your air quality (not support 5G WiFi). Fast & Accurate: Equipped with a Swiss made sensor, this humidity gauge provides precise readings.
Temperature is accurate to ±0. 54°F/±0. 3°C, and humidity is ±3%RH. By refreshing every 2s, you’ll stay regularly updated. Now supports widget function. Alert Function: Set preset temp and humidity ranges, and receive an app alert immediately whenever levels fall out of that range.
This function helps you react faster to sudden changes in your basement, baby room, etc. Only supports Bluetooth settings. Free Data Storage & Export: Our room humidity meter uploads data to the App when connected via Bluet.
I recently purchased a H5179 to alert me when the interior hot tub temperature drops below a specific threshold during the winter, since we don’t use it during the winter while we are on vacation. When the alert is triggered, I do receive a notification on my Samsung S10, the message indicates that the alarm setpoint has been breached, but the actual temperature is not indicated, i.
e. I do not know by how much. Also, there is no email alert despite Govee having my address. It turns out that all the other features only work via Bluetooth (BT) which means I have to be within BT range, i.
e. in close proximity. When I receive an alert the natural reaction is to verify the current temperature and the temperature trend to estimate the amount of time I have to take action. If you are remote, you cannot access the current readings, nor can the settings be changed, nor can the data be downloaded.
You will only see the historical temperature chart which is of little benefit in this scenario. I subsequently reviewed the advertisement for this product and to be fair the capabilities can be interpreted in more than one way.
The other curious observation is that this device does not register on my Google Nest Router, which means it is not getting an IP address from the Router’s DHCP service. This explains why I cannot access the H5179 features remotely.
When I asked Govee to confirm my observations they sent me a replacement unit which works the same way as the original unit. On a positive note, the Govee application is quite good, the sensor seems to be reliable, the alerts seem to be reliable, the CSV download works well so there are plenty of positive attributes.
Your specific use case will determine if this product will work for you.
I have several of these Govee wifi thermo-hygrometer sensors working within the Govee App and I am very impressed by their performance. Unlike some other reviewers, I am not finding any wifi connectivity problems at all and can access the graphical data at any time from anywhere I happen to be, even abroad.
I have also tested the accuracy of the Relative Humidity sensor readings using saturated salt solutions of Magnesium Chloride Hexhydrate 100% PH. Eur (33%RH) and Sodium Chloride 99. 9% BP (75%RH) at 20 +/-2degC.
The results were exceptionally good with the device cosistently reading 35. 5% RH and 74. 9% RH respectively after between 24 and 48 hrs. The reaction times were not properly tested but the device appeared to react quite rapidly when placed above each solution and given that the specification is +/- 3% RH the readings reached to within these limits in an acceptable time period.
Temperature accuracy was not tested but, given that simple error compensation (albeit assuming linearity) is possible within the app, these devices appear to me to be excellent value for money. One device is positioned in a chill cabinet located in a separate garage and the quality of the signal is still good.
I can definitely recommend these excellent little devices.
Sleep warm all night long with the OmniCore Designs New Standard M-3D 10F / -12. 2? At just a little over 3 lbs. this bags been independently tested to 10F / -12. 2? following the European Norm (EN) 13537 Testing Protocol making it one of the best 3-season mummy sleeping bags around.
The M-3D Ultra-Lightweight Mummy is powered by our innovative Multi-Down technology. Weve used Stratusloft in the outermost top and bottom layers to maximize warmth insulating performance in wet conditions.
In the layer closest to your body, weve utilized the amazing heat trapping ability of the all-natural 650-Fill-Power Down. Another key feature designed just for you is 3-D Footbox allows back sleepers a more natural and comfortable night’s sleep by reducing the tension on your feet while in the bag The OmniCore Designs M-3D Ultra-Lightweight Multi-Down Mummy Sleeping bag comes in two sizes.
The regular size is 33? by 83? and fits most body types of people up to 6? 2?. x 91? and will fit most body types of people up to 6? 8?. The shell is made of an ultra durable 75 Denier DWR-Treated Diamond Polyester Ripstop.
I have 15 sleeping bags for various temperature ratings for different camping trips and excursions. This OmniCore Designs M-3D -10 Hooded Rectangular Mummy Sleeping Bag is warm and comfortable which will be used for camping in colder climates.
It’s temperature rating is -10 / -23. 3 (EN Lower Limit). The hybrid insulation of this bag is made of 650 fill-power duck down (natural) and synthetic fill StratusLoft (manmade). The outer shell is made of durable water repellent (DWR) shell 75 denier diamond ripstop polyester and inner liner is 50 denier brushed polyester which feels wonderful on my skin.
It has a right side smooth #5 YKK zipper and toe box zipper to help regulate the temperature. It comes in 2 sizes, regular and XL. I have the regular which measures 33″W x 80″L for people up to 6’2″ and weighs 5.
16LBS on my scale. For taller people the bigger XL version measures 40″ x 87″ and weighs 5. 97Lbs. I am a side sleeper and the shape is a 3D box construction allows me plenty of room to move around while sleeping and I love it.
At the top, it has a hood and keeps my head warm while trapping heat and has a pillow pocket which keeps my pillow in place. Another top feature I love about this bag is it has sleeping pad sleeve which keeps my pad in place and keeps me from rolling off my pad.
It has draft tubes, collars and baffles which trap warm air which is where a lot of body heat is normally lost and keeps cold air out. I always keep my head lamp, bear spray, my glasses and other misc items next to me when I goto sleep, however, this bag has 2 internal mesh pockets on each side and 3 zipper external pockets at the foot area I now use.
It came with a compression bag to pack down small and a big mesh bag which lets the down breath and keeps it clean. I have only had this bag a short time and used it in 32 degree temps which kept me warm, so I cannot attest to temps lower than this.
It is an outstanding sleeping bag and a great addition to my gear!.
I like that the right side zipper opens all the way down the right side as the left side zipper only goes down about 1/3 of the way down. This allows me to be able to get in and out easily. I also like the storage places at the foot of the sleeping bag.
There are three separate zip-up compartments, I don’t know if they are for only storage or if you can place heat pads to help keep your feet warmer. I didn’t try that but I was able to store away items like tooth paste, tooth brush, comb, brush, deodorant, rinse cup as well as snacks that are enclosed either seal-able bags and or small containers with close tops.
I also had things like lighters, toilet paper, wipes, starter paper used to start a camp fire. So you can use it to store small items that you wish not to get wet. All the items stayed dry. The back is designed with a section that is sewn to where an opening is left for you to be able to place (and it would secure) a foam pad the size of the sleeping bag and or a flat piece of board for those with back problems (those don’t come with this sleeping bag – must purchase or make yourself).
It is a sturdy sleeping bag that kept me warm in 25 – 30 degrees of cold weather. It is so well insulated that I was warm pretty quick each time I got back into it (since I had a few bathroom runs that I had to make one day-lol).
Another benefit of this sleeping bag is the hood; it allows you to have your head covered without having to be zipped in like a cocoon! This sleeping bag is made convenient for storage. Once you are done using you can roll it up put it into the convenient storage bag that is mesh designed, plus a bag that allows you to protect your sleeping bag prior to placing it in the mesh bag by using the other storage bag that is water proof and has a clip-on top to help protect your sleeping bag when storing it away.
I almost forgot this sleeping bag has attached strips on each corner of the sleeping bag that allows you to be able to secure your sleeping bag to the ground with stakes (which don’t come with this sleeping bag).
I believe you can also use them to hang up your sleeping bag when not in use during the day when camping so that you can air it out as well as keep it off the ground when not in use. I would recommend this sleeping bag for anyone who is looking to keep warm while out in the woods or if you play camping in the back yard.
It will keep you warm and is very comfortable too!.
In the distant past I’ve done a lot of camping and backpacking in Colorado, and look forward to camping with my grandchildren next summer. Having just received the bag, I tried it out last night by placing it on a foam pad in a cold room and sleeping in it, waking up overheated in about an hour.
This sleeping bag may be large enough for two small adults to cozily share. With multiple zippers, the sleeping bag can be converted into a large blanket. If you got caught in bad weather and the bag got soaking wet, the ability to open it up completely would be really helpful when hanging it out to dry.
Fabric loops are attached to each of 4 exterior corners, presumably to facilitate hanging the bag to air out or dry out. I used a squirt bottle to spray a little water on the bag’s exterior and the water beaded up.
If you spilled a drink on the bag and wiped it up right away, the bag would probably remain quite dry. Three zippered storage compartments on the bottom of the exterior could accommodate socks, underwear, or other small, soft items.
Two interior mesh stash pockets attached at shoulder level could probably accommodate a smartphone, eyeglass case, or miscellaneous items. On the bottom of the bag, at both the head and foot, are sleeves that can be used to secure a sleeping pad; a strap at mid bag to help keep everything together.
When compressed into the smaller containment bag the measurements are about 17” x 9” x 8”. The included large mesh storage bag (about 36” long) is recommended for long term storage, allowing the bag to breathe and preventing the insulation from compacting.
Shipping weight was 3 pounds. I think this is a great sleeping bag for anyone who wants a very roomy sleeping bag. After fully unzipping the bag and opening it up like a blanket, I had a little bit of trouble re-connecting two overlapping zippers due to their close proximity.
Not really a negative feature, but it took me a few minutes to get the two zippers aligned so I could zip them up again. I should have paid more attention to their alignment before I unzipped them.
It will give you the best night’s sleep with shoulder and zipper draft tubes, drawstrings at the shoulder and around the head, and double-layer construction with offset stitching to eliminate cold spots.
It’s filled with SuperLoft Elite hollow fiber fill-all these features work together to keep you warm and comfortable anywhere you set up camp. If you get too warm, just unzip the bag a little at either corner or down the side.
The bag comes apart in two massive quilts. Includes its own storage bag. Here’s a storage tip: Stuff the bag in, don’t try to roll it up and then put it back in the sack.
Great for children! I picked up the Teton Sports Celsius Junior Sleeping Bag for my daughters for camping trips. They are nowhere near the height of the bag, so there’s plenty of room for growth. This bag is well-designed for children of all temperature ratings too – thanks to the full-length zipper.
I found that to better ventilate my child’s sleep temperature, I can zip open the foot-end of the bag without undoing the entire bag, leaving their torsos better insulated, while offering the body some needed leg-room and temperature control.
A Pro: Zipper has a draft collar, to protect the warm air from escaping through the zipper. Also, the zipper can be tucked and batted down with the velcro embroidered flap reading the temperature rating of the bag, to help reduce noise.
Pro: The head portion of the bag has a “collar” to help block wind onto the back of the head, and offers to detain the pillow from falling out of the bag. A Con: The zipper stops at the “floor” of the bag.
If this zipper were to continue along the bottom of the bag across from “right hand side” to the “left hand side”, and offer the transformation from sleeping bag to quilt – it would make this bag a game-changer for hammock camping.
Con: That pillow-collar can add unecessary “bulge” to the pillow chosen – increasing the angle of the pillow on the back of the head – ultimately, if the pillow is shaped different to the shape of the Celsius Jr.
bag, your neck will be at an increased angle, you’ll rest the pillow outside of the bag too, potentially adding to discomfort. But it’s not terribly overstuffed, so, you lay on it?, you lay on it. I’m happy enough with it.
I’d recommend this to other parents, starting out on camping with <10 year olds. It does make me curious what else Teton Sports has to offer for hammock camping and insulation.
My wife and I purchased this sleeping bag about 3 weeks ago for our trip to Big Bend National Park, and we couldn’t be happier with its performance! This bag has plenty of room for two people and the height of the bag was perfect.
I’m 6’1” and my wife is 5’5”. The bag didn’t swallow her up and I also didn’t feel even the slightest bit claustrophobic. They really nailed both the length and width on this bag. The temperatures were uncharacteristically cold during our visit to Big Bend, with temperatures dropping into the mid to lower 30s (Fahrenheit) each night.
We stayed plenty cozy with this bag. My wife is cold-blooded. She literally is just physically cold all of the time, and this bag kept her nice and toasty. I, however, did have to strip down to just my underwear in order to keep from getting too hot, but that really boils down to each individual.
Also, keep in mind that we were using our Exped duo sleeping mat underneath this bag, and it has a pretty high R-value. I’m certain that it contributed to our comfort level as far as temperature is concerned as well.
The overall quality of this bag is also excellent. The zippers on both sides function just as they should from both inside and outside of the bag. The material on the inside is soft and warms up quickly once you’re tucked inside.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with this Teton sleeping bag, and we look to enjoy tent-camping with it for many years to come. One additional note: I saw a couple of slightly negative reviews about getting this sleeping bag to fit back into its storage bag.
We had no such issue. I’m assuming those folks might have been attempting to roll it up and trying to stuff it into the sack. This won’t work, but if you simply start from the bottom and keep stuffing it down with the compression straps loosened, you’ll be just fine.
I looked pretty hard for a good, heavy duty, canvas bag. I wanted something that was built tough, would be durable, and warm. After getting frustrated with online shopping and the inability to put my hands on a bag I just bought this one from Sportsmans.
I purchased the 0 degree bag thinking it would suit me fine for a hunt that would see lows in the upper teens to low 20’s. First night in the bag, with a heavy blanket over the top of me, I got a little cold.
It wasnt unbearable but cold enough to wake me up a few times. The next several nights, I added one more blanket and i kept the wood stove in the canvas tent stoked a few times through the night and I was comfortable.
The last night in the bag dipped down to 9 degrees. Even with the two blankets on top, the stove stoked, I got cold again. I would exchange this for a -20 bag if I were to do it again. Overall, the bag was comfortable for the most part, no issues with the construction.
The combination of the liner fabric, the canvas, and the insulating material made it kind of “slippery” when in the bag and the liner would move a little more than I liked. Not sure if there are companies out there making the quality of bag I am in search of.
I always stay warm in my Big Agnes mummy but I just dont sleep well in mummy bags because my tendency to stretch out.
Sleep Comfortably On Cooler NightsIdeal for outdoor enthusiasts, the Klymit KSB 35 Sleeping Bag (w/grey duck down fill) will keep you comfortably warm on those cooler nights. It uses 650 fill power down top and synthetic fill bottom to provide lasting warmth through the night, rated down to 2°C.
The KSB 35 design includes a mummy hood with draft collar and drawcord to reduce drafts and the entire bag packs down into the included compression sack for easy transport and storage. Sleeping Bag That Converts Into A BlanketRight at home in the backcountry or in the backyard, this bag features elastic Stretch Baffles that keep fill next to your body and stretch when you move or sit up, while Length Locks allow you to adjust the bag to your height, creating a comfortable cocoon of fill around your feet.
Additionally, an anti-snag, two-way zipper allows you to open the foot box for ventilation, or so you can wear it around camp without taking off your boots. Alternatively, you can unzip the bag all the way to convert it into a generous blanket.
There’s even a stash pocket to keep your smartphone close at hand for use at a moment’s notice.
I have used this bag down to 26 degrees F. I love several features, particularly the elastic cords in the body so it reduces any empty space to warm up around you, and the draw cord around the head and baffle between the head and body.
For the price it is a great bag (I paid $120). It is sturdy and has taken a beating of multiple stuffs and unstuffs as well as sleeping on bare grass and leaves. I find it quite comfortable temperature-wise to about 35 degrees; below that you’ll want to wear warm clothing in addition to the bag, or do what I do and put a 50 degree bag inside this one.
Then you’ll be toasty below zero F. I am pleased with my purchase.
Lifetime guarantee. Double-wide quilted sleeping bag has cushioning around zipper and shoulder to keep drafts out. Dual layer offset seams distribute fill evenly and eliminate chilly spots. Drawstring hood helps occupants retain body heat.
Soft cotton flannel lining feels like sleeping on bed sheets. Three no-snag, self-repairing zippers open each side and the bottom for adjustable ventilation. Connects to additional bags for even larger sleeping space.

The Kelty Cosmic Ultra 0 is the ultimate in a lightweight mummy. They’ve taken their top-selling Cosmic Bag and added an 800 fill DriDown version, with all the perks too. The new trapezoidal baffle construction improves is ideal for retaining heat—and it’s just one of the reasons Cosmic is still a favorite three-season superstar.
Congratulations! You have made it to the comment section, and you are debating if you should really buy the Women’s Cosmic Down 20 sleeping bag. My quick review is that it is a great bag that is incredibly fluffy, it is warm and soft and something that you would love to crawl into after a full day of hiking.
My long review… I did a gear test with my little brother, both with Kelty sleeping bags. I was with the Women’s Cosmic Down and he with the Kelty kids Synthetic down. We tested on two different nights, the lows on the first night was mid-forties, the second was in the thirties.
We were in a two-person tent and we both had mats and pillows in our front yard, so sod and damp dewy conditions. Learned instructions for use: wear appropriate clothing, you will not regret wearing long fleece leggings, even if it is mid-forties (say no to short cotton ones; learn from my mistake).
Also, do not get the bag wet, you will definitely regret it. I was cold on the warmer night because I slept with my body touching the side of the tent allowing the dew from the tent walls to rest on the bag.
While the bag is water resistant, in that I did not feel wet at all, it will decrease the warmth of the bag considerably. The second night I learned from my error and slept the best that I have ever slept in a sleeping bag and tent since before I realized the importance of sleep.
The bag was incredibly fluffy. I love the loft of this bag, it is kind of limp straight from the sack, but it gets really voluptuous as it airs up. It was super soft and the lining was silky. There was plenty of room for me to curl up and be comfortable and not too lengthy which is wonderful.
I am 5’4” for reference. I loved that it is a woman’s sleeping bag, so created for a lady’s shape and comfort (Praise the Lord!). It is marginally lighter than synthetic bags and about the same compacted size as a kids synthetic sleeping bag, almost smaller.
While not incredibly different in size and weight from a normal cheap bag, I feel like I will be grateful for the minimal difference while backpacking. While you will not be sleeping like you sleep in a warm bed at home, it was so much better than my $30 bag… (Can that even be a comparison?) I love my new sleeping bag and hope that it will last me many years.
I have always used synthetic bags. After a week long trip with the nights down in the low 30s and using 3 sleeping bags and still being cold I decided it needed to be fixed. The first time I used this bag the second day I was out the weather called for snow.
I woke up the first morning warm and cozy. I turned on the light in my tent and icicles were hanging down. I opened my tent and snow came in. It snowed about 6” overnight and I had no idea. I was about 1000’ above where I checked the weather.
I moved sites before the weather said it was actually going to snow. The second time I used it the following may. Weather was in the 60s during the day. I went to sleep in my boxers only. I woke up nice and warm and cozy.
I pulled my hand out and felt the chill. Again I opened the tent and everything was frozen! The truck said it was 19 degrees outside. These were the only two examples to convince me that down is the absolute only way to go.
I bought a second one and it is the only bag I will use. My synthetic bags will be for late summer 100 degree day camping only. It’s a bonus that these 0 degree down bags weigh less than my 20 degree synthetic bags.
I’m 6’ and 210 wear xl shirts and I fit snug in the regular.

I’m 76 and have serious neurological health issues that cause severe pain, muscle spasms, tremors, etc. every day. (Symptoms that “mimic” ALS + MS + Parkinsons,. ). To complement my regimen of prescription drugs for these symptoms, I use Medical Marijuana, Every month or so, I purchase smokable marijuana “flowers” at our local NH Dispensary, about 20 miles away.
I need to store the “flowers” so they’ll stay fresh and effective, long term (3 months). I’ve found that if I simply leave the product in its plastic container, it quickly dries out and loses its effectiveness.
The Boveda pouches are perfect. They get the humidity in my special sealed bottles, to be at 62%, which is ideal for the “flowers. ” Sometimes, some strains of my marijuana are so well-managed, that I can literally peal individual petals off the marijuana flower, and place each petal into my smoking bowl.
I have several jars each with about 15g. After 3 weeks with these paks in the jars, the humidity has continued to go down til where it is now around 56%. This has been tested with several different meters now.
They are certainly not holding humidity to 62% which is roughly where the bud was before these paks were added.

Boveda 8 gram Humidipak 62% – 2 Way Humidity Control [Single]How Boveda Works Scientifically engineered to maintain a precise relative humidity of 62% (RH) in an enclosed space. Boveda will never humidify beyond the 62%, so there’s no such thing as “too much”.
You want to think in terms of using at least the minimum because the more you use, the more efficient Boveda works and the longer they last. You’ll know it’s time to replace when the entire Boveda begins turning hard.
Simply place the correct number of Boveda inside your container to maintain a precise 62%. Each Boveda consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane.
Within a closed container Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water-vapor, as needed, through the membrane. Boveda provides the cleanest and most purified humidity of all other products available on the market today.

Constructed with just over 30-ounces of lightweight, 850-fill goose down insulation (complete with seven-inch loft), this bag assures a toasty night’s sleep for backpackers looking to cut weight when adventuring in the frosty outdoors.
Not to mention, the Gore Windstopper fabric, combined with the down-filled draft tube, prevents frigid, howling winds from piercing your cozy slumber. And when you rouse from a dreamy night’s sleep in the morning, toss your bag into the included stuff sack, easily store it in your pack, and hit the trail towards your next site.
This is my 4th down bag from Western Mountaineering over the past 20 years. Their quality is unsurpassed, and worth the premium price they sell for. This is my new go-to bag for cold weather, yet not arctic or super high-altitude, use.
My first trip got down to 4 degrees F, and I was comfortable in this bag, wearing a base layer and light fleece jacket and beanie. I got a long size so that I could keep a water bottle, camera, batteries, etc, in the foot box to prevent freezing.
It’s so roomy that I was able to comfortably wear a medium weight down jacket and down pants inside when it went sub-zero the next time out, so I will be able to use it in most winter conditions that I will encounter.
Their zipper system is the best I have ever seen for preventing snags and smooth operation. The only thing I’d like to see added would be a small zipped pocket for glasses, headlamp, etc. The microfiber fabric resisted any frost/condensation soaking into the down and felt soft and comfortable.
This bag is not your average 5 degree bag!!!! WM does a great job of safely rating their bags, as apposed to almost every other company. If any of the common big name brands were to rate this bag, it would be somewhere very close to -20F.
The survival rating of the gore windstopper version is right around -45F. This is according to the WM website. I live in New England and we generally see a wintertime extreme low of around -10 to -15F at least once per season.
That’s without the windchill factor. If inside a tent, this bag should comfortably handle anything New England can throw at it. I sleep cold and tested this bag out in the 30F range and ROASTED! Even with the zipper half way down and foot box unzipped, I was only comfortable where my body could get direct contact with outside air near the unzipped areas of the bag.
The rest of my body was somewhere between roasting hot and sweating. I should have unzipped it as much as possible and just used it as a blanket. That would have worked, and probably would work into the upper 40’s at max.
But boy oh boy, this is all anyone could ever dream of down to around -20F. It’s SUPER comfy and HIGH quality all the way around. Such a pleasure to be spoiled with this bag!!!! If your not sure if the temperature rating is enough, I can assure you, this thing will rock way below 0!.

This great little humidifier doesn’t take up a lot of space. Even though it is small in size about. Ten and a half inches high by 5 inches wide it has a lot of great features. The best feature, it is so quiet.
There is a quick beep when plugging it in alerting there is power. The digital display lights up. The on off power button simply touch it, easy to use. As soon as I turned the Safety 1u02E2u1D57 Humid Control Filter Free Humidifier on, the digital display shows my room temperature & humidity level.
I am able to set the humidity level to for the room then I set the speed for the flow. I like the fact that I can change the direction of the flow with the mist control at the top. It’s a small humidifier and easily can be moved to another room, so the mist direction can be changed accordingly.
The fun color light is great it glows so nice. Love that fun feature. Or for complete darkness, no color light option & the digital display can be shut off. The thermostat is very accurate, as soon as I plugged it in & turned it on and it displayed the room temperature & humidity level, I looked on my hard wired house thermostat & it was exact.
It is very easy to set up, the water fill is on the bottom of the top, which comes right up. I do notice that the water reservoir cover can cross thread easily, so I double check it each time I fill to make sure it is on properly before flipping it over to put onto the base.
Other than that, this humidifier is a great little perfect humidifier.
If you want a humidifier for your nursery that does it all, this is your unit. Seriously. This is an ultrasonic humidifier, so using good quality water is a must (otherwise minerals in your water will collect on things as white dust).
I have never seen a small humidifier like this that not only has a built-in hygrometer and a thermometer, but actually allows you to set a humidity level and will turn on and off as needed to maintain it! All our other humidifiers are brainless, you turn them on, and they kick out mist whether or not the room needs it until they run out of water.
Not this one! It also has a few added features, one of which is a night light. You can pick a color you like, or it’ll cycle through all the colors. The display fades when not in use so it’s not super bright all the time.
There’s also a little tray you can put scent pads into. For the record, you push on the little tray and it’ll click back open. It’s not obvious, I had to look it up in the instruction manual. Filling the device is easy, the jug just lifts off.
Flip it over, fill it up, put it back on with the Safety 1st logo facing front. Easy peasy. There is a button to adjust the amount of mist coming out of the unit, and you can direct it anywhere you wish with the top adjuster.
It’s got a real sleek, well finished design and features that I’ve never seen on devices of this size. Just like I said at the beginning of the review, I don’t think a better small humidifier exists.
Warm and comfortable in the open air The Hyperion sleeping bag from Therm-a-Rest is one of the lightest in its class, while still offering excellent performance in the cold outside air. The sleeping bag uses thermally efficient box-bent construction in key areas to ensure warmth and comfort in an ultra-light package.
This bag is suitable for temperatures down to -6 degrees. Designed with high quality materials and the performance features of Therm-a-Rest, the Hyperion keeps your backpack lightweight without sacrificing performance.
I love the weight of this bag and the semi-quilt like design with the baffles underneath you being less full of down. At 6′ tall I feel like the length is about perfect. There is plenty of room for my shoulders, hips, and even just enough room to bend my knees to my chest with a slight bit of effort.
The added draft baffles around the neck and zipper are amazingly full and I’ve had no issues with them whatsoever. When sleeping on my back this bag is toasty warm down to single digits, and I’m a cold sleeper.
My issue with the bag is when I am sleeping on my side, which I do about half the time. The issue so far as I can tell stems from the less filled baffles on the underside, which normally I would consider a good thing.
When I roll over to my side the bag will roll ever so slightly with me (the pad straps help with this but don’t solve it completely) and the furthest baffle on the underside ends up just slightly exposed to air.
This creates a very cold area on my backside in cold temps. I feel like one more baffle filled on the non-zipper side would have been good for side sleepers. The upside is that there is plenty of room in this bag, so stuffing my down jacket along that back side of the bag works solves this issue.
Another minor issue I have is the wide hood shape, and again is only an issue when I’m sleeping on my side. Pulling the hood tight around my face works fine when I’m sleeping with my face towards the zipper, not so much when my face is towards the backside of the bag.
The cord for tightening the hood routes around the back side of the bag so when you pull the hood taught it is difficult to keep your mouth/nose outside of the bag on the non-zippered side. I’ve woken up numerous times with the inside of my bag wet on that side because my mouth slipped inside the bag while I was asleep.
Overall I very much like the bag, but I will be switching back to a quilt so that I can tuck the sides of the quilt tight against me in cold weather when I am on my side.
The KSB 15’s 650 fill power down top and synthetic fill bottom provides an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. Flexible Stretch Baffles keep fill next to your body and stretch when you move, while Length Locks allow you to adjust the bag to your height, creating a comfortable cocoon of fill around your feet.
Additionally, anti-snag, two-way YKK zipper opens from the bottom or top to easily control the flow of air.
Wilderness Sleeping Bag from Carinthia is a military sleeping bag that can also be used for trekking, hunting and outdoor. The sleeping bag excels exclusively in winter, especially due to features such as trapezoidal bottom and large amount of insulation, which is important when lying down and sleeping in a cold and arctic climate.
If you are looking at buying a secondhand one of these bags DON’T at this price get a fresh shiny new one. These bags loose their comfort ratings the more they are washed. So if you are buying it to stay warm, buy a new one! Highly recommend, get one while you can, I could not find any of these in stock anywhere else in the UK.
Maintain comfort in any setting with the Aprilaire 1870F 135-pint Whole-House Dehumidifier. It is a versatile unit designed to offer whole-house or localized usage. The Aprilaire 1870F dehumidifier runs on an environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant and is the CFC-free version of the same model.
It provides effective removal of moisture when the central air-conditioning system is running, and works when the air-conditioning isn’t running. This air dehumidifier is easy to operate manually if needed or automatically with built-in controls.
It is very helpful in the warmer months of the year. This unit also brings in fresh air to dilute pollutants and is powerful enough to eliminate up to 135 pints of water per day.
Humidity levels are an important factor to consider when sleeping in winter. Too much humidity can make it difficult to breathe, and can also lead to condensation and mold. Too little humidity can make it difficult to stay warm, and can also lead to static electricity and dry skin.
The ideal humidity level for sleeping in winter is between 30 and 50%.
